    I am extremely disappointed in my experience with BookIt.com!!! I booked a trip (flight and all-inclusive hotel) 9 1/2 months in advance; only to have BookIt.com change the resort and DOWNGRADE our room one week prior to travel! We had booked a suite and were downgraded to a studio room at an entirely different resort than originally booked.

    To highlight just a few of the things in the room we had originally booked, but were not in the room BookIt.com moved us: Balcony or terrace, Integrated lounge area with 2 steps between levels, with sofa or sofa bed; unobstructed ocean view - There was a tree right outside the window; More spacious room; Bathroom with hydromassage bathtub; Ceiling fan; Minibar; Liquor dispenser. BookIt.com argued with me, repeatedly stating the rooms were comparable. I have never heard of a company downgrading a customers original reservation, especially when the reason for the last-minute switch is due to that company's internal issues - this is the reason BookIt.com provided for the switch.

    I spoke with an Operation Support Analyst about our room swap and am highly dissatisfied with the response I received. At first, I was told BookIt.com would not be offering a refund or a credit. I asked for management contact. After being put on hold for 10-15 minutes, the same gal came back on the line to tell me her manager was on a call with another customer, but said BookIt.com was prepared to offer: $50 towards one future BookIt.com travel, to be used within one calendar year of the date of issuance. Upon declining this offer, she said the manager would not be able to speak with me that same day, but assured me the manager would most definitely call tomorrow. It has been more than 24 hours and I have not heard from a manager at BookIt.com.

    Hands down. The rep at BookIt was extremely rude. She purposely charged my account for the full amount of my purchase after telling her various time I wanted the pay delay... The rep never cancelled the first reservation as she said she would. Place me on numerous holds. Pretended to get her supervisor. Lied to me, wasted my time, is the result of my account going negative, and all BookIt as a corporation is say sorry and they will train rep "Chantel". I advise anyone to rethink calling in for assistance as you might get an incompetent rep.

    I am excited to take this trip and I still booked it but, the fine print has me doing way more with deposits and in site payments. I feel played by this. The price should be shown as everything you will have to pay for. I do not know if I will recommend this to anyone. Unless things change and I get a message back telling me you will give me a nice discount due to the fine print.

    Beware: if you make an online mistake and call to correct it within minutes of discovering it, you won't get help from BookIt.com. I wanted to booked the air with my package, however didn't do it correctly. I wanted to add the air to my package to get the "package deal", but I was told I was not able.     I booked the reservation on February 5th, 2016 to travel to Dominican Republic for our family of 4, myself, my wife, and our two children ages 6 and 10 on the dates of April 2 through April 9, 2016. Three weeks after booking, my wife and I were advised by both her primary care physician and our OB-GYN to not travel to Dominican Republic due the recent developments with the Zika Virus. At this time, there was a chance of my wife being pregnant as we are in process of planning to expand our family.

    In addition, the physicians advised us that little is known about the virus, but based on what is known they strongly advised us not to travel to that part of the world if we are planning to have children in the near 1-2 years as the virus reportedly stays in the system indefinitely and can be passed on from male to female. We were also directed to the CDC.GOV website, which confirmed there is a travel advisory in place for Dominican Republic due the virus. Upon finding this out, we immediately contacted BookIt to express our concerns and requested a refund. This was shortly after we booked and a long way away, 2.5 months, from our actual reservation.

    According to BookIt, they were not able to refund the reservation since it was un-refundable. They attempted to contact the hotel and the hotel declined to work with us on this matter, reportedly because they do not think Zika is a big deal since they live there. BookIt responded that there is nothing they can do if the hotel is unwilling to provide a refund. Despite several attempts to resolve this with BookIt, they refused to work with us on this matter. This is a matter of our health and the health of our potential future children, a risk we were unwilling to take. Nowhere in the fine print from BookIt is a National Advisory for virus outbreaks discussed. This is an unusual circumstance of nationwide concerns and it is unfortunate that BookIt is unwilling to stand by their customers in situations such as this one.

    After searching for a few weeks, BookIt provided the most reasonable price for a trip that I have been trying to plan for about a month but waiting due to certain circumstances... Like that different flight options were available. Only reduced to four stars because the price went up about 50$ for no reason an hour after I had basically locked into a trip.     I've booked reservations with BookIt before and usually been very satisfied with my accommodations. This one though, OMG!!! THUG LIFE doesn't even begin to describe this place! The one elevator didn't work, so we had to take the stairs to our seventh floor room! We were greeted there by the smell of pot smoke all the way up the stairwell, and Hey! Guess what? The owner of the illegal substance was standing right by our room! Just enjoying his joint! The room had coffee drippings down the side of the microwave and dirt still on the floor. We did not feel at all safe at this motel.

    We went back downstairs and kindly told the front desk person we would not be staying. She said nothing had been charged out from them, so if I called Booking, they could probably refund the charge. However, BookIt did not refund our charges. I know the policy states no refunds if less than a certain amount of time. That's not so much the problem. I can't believe such an establishment would even be included in their listings! This was definitely an expensive lesson learned. The customer service rep did try to help with booking us at another place we were familiar with but was unable to get us anything there through BookIt. We went in person and we're able to get a room, however. I think this is how I'll be doing it in the future.

    This hotel says it has been renovated but the rooms' lights would not turn on, room was dirty, room and door keys would not work. Changed me to another room. I took pictures of the dirty room and the front desk clerk if she would stay there. Gabriella said she would never stay there. I book with BookIt all of the time. It has never been this bad. I have complained and the hotel said they can't help me because the reservation was made through BookIt. I would like at least part of my money back. This was a terrible experience.

    Booked a three night stay at the Aria in Vegas and when I booked it showed a total of what I would have to pay. That number was incorrect. In the fine print it said I would have to pay additional fees at the hotel. All the other sites I have used were upfront with the total out of pocket expense but I felt like BookIt was not.     BookIt.com is an excellent website for vacation packages or just a hotel. I've used BookIt several times in the past and never had any problems and they are accurate with hotel information. Just be careful with the last submit button when they tell you there is an additional tax fee or resort fee that will be charged at the hotel when you get there.     "We made a mistake and there is nothing we can do about it" When we asked to speak to a manager, this is what we were told. Long story short, we booked a honeymoon vacation, a rental car, and airline flights through this website. Over the course of the past five months we learned that there had been a mistake in booking all of these. We had to pay out of pocket to fix the airline mistakes. The company refused to refund the mistake made in booking the rental car. And then honeymoon vacation was a bust.

    Just today, we spoke with a representative regarding why the honeymoon vacation was a bust. The quote above comes directly from that conversation. Through a miscommunication with the hotel and the "company", my fiancee and I will not be experiencing the honeymoon package that we paid for. The manager we spoke to chocked it up to a "mistake in advertising." Oh well, that is all good and fine. The company owned up to their mistake and will be fixing in accordingly, right? Wrong! Through a dance of legally correct jargon, the manager informed me that they would be doing nothing to fix the "mistake" made.

    Will they be refunding us the extra money we dished out for the package? No. Will they be working with the hotel to ensure that we get the package we paid for? No. Will there be any concessions whatsoever for the mistake made? No. We were literally told by the representative we spoke to before the manager that we "need to live with it." That's what you get with BookIt, just "live with it".

    On Saturday April 30, 2016 I booked a trip for two to Jamaica. The representative Willie was amazing. He did a wonderful job. He sent me my confirmation that noted $1414.00 will be deducted for our flight, $216.92 for insurance and $5.00 for room with 3 payments of $645.91 to take place June, August, and September. Instead $1694.92 was taken for the flight $216.92 for insurance and $5.00 for room. Which was $280.92 more than I anticipated being deducted from my account.

    We, like most Americans live check to check and we budgeted the exact amount ($1635.92) to do the pay delay plan. My rent was due the following day and I was over $200 short due to this error. I called Willie the same day and was transferred to a department where he said would call the airline and fix the mistake. Instead I was told "sorry, let me transfer you again" (Blind transfers), therefore I had to explain myself for the third time. I'm sure you can imagine by then I was very upset with the service I was receiving. I explained the situation and was told "sorry again but this is not our fault it's the airlines' fault." But you are booking in joint partnership with this airline. Shouldn't this have been as simple as the representative picking up the phone and calling the Airline and saying you overcharged my customer. No harm no foul.

    But no. She said "we will take the overcharge off of your last payment." That's not doing anything to make me whole. You are going to cause my rent to be late this month not in September. She that was all she could offer me or I could cancel and get a full refund. WOW!!! Ok then I guess that's my only choice I will cancel. Don't get me wrong the customer service rep was very nice but when a mistake is made on your end you should do what you have to do make the customer whole again. My funds have yet to be returned, I had to get extension on other bills so that my rent check would not bounce. All because we wanted spend our 31-year anniversary/Christmas in Jamaica and decided to use BookIt.

    P.S. I received a call from the so-called resolutions department. His resolution was to say he was sorry (again). I said "this is your resolution you are sorry." He said "oh yeah I can take $25.00 off your next booking." Like I would really book with you people ever again. I told him I still have not received my money back. He said there was a problem and he would send it to someone in accounting. This was horrible all the way around.

    I had some issues with the site when initially paid. It prompted me with a message that said error ID, with no actual number to associate it with. When I called help desk, they were only able to tell me that the transaction had been authorized, but my vacation had not been booked. Although the error message told me that my flights had been booked but there was a problem with my hotel. I am satisfied with the deal I received, but it was a major headache to check out. The help desk agent instructed me to rebook it and after doing this, the site prompted me to tell me that my trip had already been booked. I ended up not rebooking and the first initial payment finally posted to my bank account. I was able to view my reservation thereafter but this whole process was sketchy and made me hesitant to ever use this site again.

    My boyfriend and I booked a trip through BookIt.com to Puerto Rico for May. We used the payment plan option which was on my boyfriend's card. We realized he could not make it so they were very nice to switch the person coming with me. However, the LAST 200 we owed of 1400 bounced on my boyfriend's card because his bank changed. I contacted BookIt to pay the remaining amount and they informed me the account was closed. When I asked to reactivate the account, the customer care Karen ** was very unfriendly and had no sympathy that they were totally screwing my 2 weeks away from my vacation. She informed me the $500 toward hotel was not going to be refunded but that I still had my flights. So I had a flight to Puerto Rico within 2 weeks and nowhere to go! I was also out money and expected to fork over more money so I had a place to stay!!!

    I asked to speak to a manager and Karen said there was no one to speak to and nothing they could do! I can't believe this company and how badly they messed up a very needed vacation. It took me a lot to plan my life around to do this. I literally had the money to finalize the full $1400 and they wouldn't take it or help me.

    I do NOT recommend this company at all. VERY disappointing.

    I'm displeased with all the extra charges due to an error in your system. When I booked it was originally for May 7th, I got a confirmation for May 15th. Due to an error in your computer system I ended up being charged an extra $25 to change the date of my reservation to be the date I always wanted. The lady I spoke to on the phone the first time didn't disclose the amounts being charged to my card. And then she didn't put in the address properly so my card got declined & I was charged another $25 fee. The second lady I talked to was much more helpful & patient even though I was still very angry. I appreciate her help & patience but I know that I won't be using BookIt in the future.
