It's our anniversary and I needed to do something quick. So I called the hotel (Myrtle Beach area) and got a quote rate 3 times higher than BookIt. When I got their quote I was excited and quickly made my reservations. I hope my stay in the hotel is as pleasant. Quick response and no hassles.

So far I am not very satisfied. Ricardo booked my week long stay in Jamaica. Nothing seems to be right. He told me to make up a birthdate for Daniel ** airfare. Dan called in only to receive a voicemail. I received no confirmation of the 11/3/1980 birthdate change. Now I must call the airport to confirm the change. I also, paid for these 4 airport transfer fees, yet it is not on my receipt anywhere. Lastly, Ricardo told me he was saving me extra money at the hotel. I then discovered he had placed all 4 adults in 1 room. It then cost me over $100.00 more to get this fixed. I think this has not been a pleasant booking. Purchasers beware and be sure to read your paperwork.

We are traveling with a group of 23 people and our representative Drew was fantastic. He worked and got us on same flights, helped us use our coupons, requested ocean view room etc. I've have traveled over 20 times to the Caribbean and used BookIt several times in the past and have always been super satisfied. I do extensive searches and BookIt is always one of the best prices around. I will use them for sure in the future.

I reserved a room through BookIt for one night at Bally's Las Vegas. It was Memorial day weekend so premium pricing was consistent with the hotels. The emailed receipt disclosed only the paid room rate plus tax and service fees. Below that was a disclosure stating Additional Room Service and Fees with a link for Resort Fees. Only problem was that the link doesn't work so it's easy to get confused that what you paid (as disclosed on the receipt) will be the final amount. Buyer beware! The hotel will also charge you a resort fee after you check out. I will never use BookIt again.

The BookIt.com website is not clear as to when a coupon may be applied to a booking. Once the trip is booked, there is no way to correct the failure to apply a coupon to the cost of the trip, and the company will not allow for a correction to be made. Very poor customer service. I will use another booking website in the future.

It went okay. The first time on the page, it kept resetting the flights or the room and we couldn't book. Later when we went back, the website worked and we booked it. However, the price went up slightly, and if I was paying attention, I probably would have booked it through one of the other websites, as the price was now the same but the perks on BookIt.com were a lesser value ($150 resort credit, instead of $300).

It was a very simple process. I picked out the dates, hotel and just had to change from Spirit airlines to Sun Country because the "cheap airfare" is not so cheap after all add ins are calculated. I also booked the shuttle and am ready to go. I have used Bookit before. They have the best prices on packages.

I made reservation on-line, which was my first mistake. Since it is not my first time making such reservations, I looked for hidden fees, there was no mentioning anywhere that there might be resort fee added later, so I booked it. After my credit card went through, I got a disclaimer that this resort imposes $145 fees to be paid at check-in. With that fee, it would be more expensive for me to book through them than directly with hotel! I called right away to cancel. On their website it states before certain day it is $25 to cancel, but on a phone I was told there is additional $25, so, total $50! I would not recommend this company, although I thank them for the lesson - better to book with live person and ask about any potential fees.

We hear you and understand, but all applicable resort and cancellation fees are clearly stated in the terms and conditions which must be agreed to before booking. In looking at your booking now, it does state that a resort fee of $12.50 (plus tax)per room/per day will be charged at check in. If you check out your Guest Voucher, you'll be able to view this information yourself as well. It may be that you're looking at the overall resort fee total. We hope that this helps to ease your frustration, and that you'll continue booking with us in the future. Thank you.

BookIt made planning our vacation was very easy. I would recommend reading all the fine print before hitting the final button. I needed to have adjoining rooms & had put it in the special request section. Down in the fine print, the hotel had listed "you needed the deluxe room in order to make this happen." If I hadn't read the fine print, I would not have realized this until we arrived at our hotel.

The resort was absolutely gorgeous and clean. The first two days was amazing. The third day 90% of the staff went on strike and this made us very uncomfortable, food and drinks was extremely hard to get. The 3rd day I was very disappointed. :(

I feel that the previous care attendant that I spoke with not as knowledgeable about what I needed done. Was to reserve the character breakfast for the length of my stay, and of course he was able to reserve one day. Also I was not aware that one of the dates were cancelled until I called in. I was very disappointed because I was not notified.

Our vacation experience using BookIt.com at Catalonia Resort in Playa Del Carmen was extremely disappointing and we will definitely NEVER stay there again nor likely use this booking site after this experience. When we spoke to BookIt.com about our experience, they didn't seem to really care, so I emailed customer service and never received even a response. My fiancé and I booked a week long trip for our honeymoon to the Riviera Maya. What should have been one of the most memorable experiences of our lives ended up being a stay we may never forget but for all the wrong reasons.
Here is why: over the course of our entire week long stay, there was painting or some other type of work was being done right outside our room, causing our room to be filled with possibly noxious, chemical fumes that permeated the air within the apartment for our entire stay. These fumes caused us to both have nauseating headaches to the point where we could hardly spend any time in our "honeymoon" suite except to sleep. When we notified management of the issue, they told us it was "seaweed," but made no attempt to find out the actual cause when it obviously was not due to any natural occurrence and even told my wife "you'll survive." Each of us were taken aback by this callous, unsympathetic response especially given that we had purchased the highest package.
We paid for an all inclusive experience, but the included food was of times nearly inedible. Especially the first two days, the power kept going on and off rendering the indoor/outdoor dining venues inedible. We stopped eating at the resort entirely, except the restaurants themselves which were ok except for that they did not accept reservations and the wait time was anywhere from 45-90 mins. The coffee maker in our room did not work and was never replaced. The phone line in the room kept going out. The blow dryer did not work.
The bedding was only sheets, no blankets. When we requested blankets, we were told they were being sent but did not arrive. After calling a second time they still did not arrive and finally after a third call they did arrive but were extremely uncomfortable. Rather than getting a comforter, they little throw blankets, made of coarse, itchy material. The wifi in the room never worked. We were told that our package entitled us to 24 hour room service which it in fact we did not get. Anything wanted had to be ordered 24 hours in advance and that menu was extremely limited.
We rented a car from them that was supposed to be new but was older and kept having issues starting it. At one point we were stranded on our last day and when I called for assistance, I was put on hold 4 times in a row for a total of 40 minutes, then when I finally spoke to someone I was told they would send someone out but would charge me a fee for "negligence." Are you kidding me? Negligence fee for the car not starting due to no fault of my own?! This car issue completely ruined the last day of the vacation leaving us stranded in a strange city in the middle of Mexico! The man I spoke to told me that sometimes these cars have issues, so to do this: he said to shove the gear into neutral as hard as I could while keeping my foot on the brake and turning the key in the ignition. Doing so did finally get the car started.
So as you can see, our experience was one we will remember as one of the worst vacations we have ever been on. While I know the responsibility for this lies with Catalonia Resort, BookIt.com did in fact give the resort a 4 star rating which was a large factor in our decision to stay there. We will surely never stay with Catalonia again and will be reticent to use BookIt.com as its rating system seems unreliable due to this experience. Also, their lack of care or concern about our poor experience is very off putting. I have never written a bad review or sent something as this but the experience was so bad that I felt I must in order to prevent another newlywed couple from going through the same thing on their honeymoon, a time that should be one of the greatest of their lives. I with my Pregnant wife stayed at Grand Sunset Princess resort from May 23-30. This was by far one of the worst experience we had to go through. We checked in on 23rd with a 2 king bed room wherein we mentioned that we are married couple. After following up multiple times, they gave us a room the next day. Everything went fine for 2 days. The last 3 days was horrible as the staffs at the resort decided to go on a STRIKE.
Issues: There is a good 1 mile walk from our room to main plaza wherein food and other entertainments are hosted. There is supposed to be train from where we are staying to Plaza every 15mins, however, cause of STRIKE, the last 3 days me and my pregnant wife had to walk 1 mile in hot weather to get food. I complained multiple times with no result. We paid extra for PLATINUM service but we were treated like very badly and my wife had a very tough time walking in hot weather for a mile 3-4 times a day. Last 2 days, A-la-carte restaurants were also closed leaving us with no choice but to eat from buffet wherein it was over crowded with people. The wait time was at least 15-20 mins to get a table and to get food was more than 20 mins.
This vacation made us miss our home so much that all we want to do was to come back home where we didn't had to walk and get tired and wait in line to get food like prisoners. I tried to find out the Princess-hotels management email, but I couldn't find any. Since BookIt arranged this travel for us, I am complaining to you guys.

It took me over two hours to change my itinerary. I will never use them again. I got passed to different people and held in between each one. What I could of done with a airline in less than 20 min. I will never use them again.

I have to call 5 times to try to get a match price. The first time, the representative told me she will send some information via email, she never did. The second one put me on hold and never got back to the phone. The third one never found my search even after giving her the search number, a oriental sound like lady, that couldn't understands what I say. The fourth one wanted I send her copy of the other website showing the cheaper price. Finally, the fifth one was able to help after putting me on hold for more than 20 minutes. I used to greatly enjoyed book all my trips with BookIt.com, but after today experience, I will start to look for another booking site. I got the price match but didn't got the 10% coupon as promised in the website. Just false advertisement.

We booked a vacation to Cancun with BookIt on March 13. They advertised on their website that paying by using PayPal, you'll have 18 months interest free to pay off your balance, FALSE. We spent endless hours on the phone with PayPal and the problem was never resolved. Today (05/27/16), we received a phone call from BookIt regarding our reservation, guess what: the hotel we originally booked is no longer available and the customer service person told me that I have two options, I either take the option he is offering or I will have to pay for a different hotel from my pocket. The current offer is a hotel located in Playa del Carmen, which I'm not interested on at all. He was rude and unhelpful. I'm very dissatisfied with BookIt and will strongly encourage others to never use it.

Although me and my grandson didn't get a chance to use the pool and play area it was beautiful. The service was excellent, the suite was kept clean, my suite had a beautiful view, the food good. 2 complaints: need to extend your bus service and include airport transportation.

I received an email stating a vacation I planned was canceled. I never planned a vacation. So I called BookIt to see what it was about. The customer service was extremely poor. I told the lady I received an email and was confused. I never booked a vacation. She looked it all up - did my name was on it. I said I never booked one and if I did why would I cancel a few hours before it says we were to fly out?
She said she couldn't help me -- my name was on the reservation -- then proceeded to ask if I had a twin. I asked, "What would that have to do with someone booking a trip under me that I didn't do?" She couldn't answer. I asked for a manager numerous times. She said they would tell me the same information and would not transfer me to a manager. Told me I'm responsible to pay for the trip. I said, "That's not happening. Someone has my info and it's a fraud case." She ended up hanging up on me. I called my credit card company and they refunded me full charges, and stated this has happened many times with this company. I feel bad for the people who don't go a step ahead and ends up just paying for something they didn't do. Be aware.

Unable to add 1 person to my 2 room ocean front suite which booked for only 3 people. BookIt policy to cancel my reservation, for both rooms to rebook in a lower grade room because my room type isn't available even though I have them booked paid in full. And if I cancel can't rebook same room type. Yea...insane crap. My first and last time using this site.

BookIt.com mobile sticks. Mobile app made a mistake with dates. Called 2-3 representatives. Phone call was disconnected. No follow up. It should not be this hard to change dates when it is not customer's fault. Very angry. Had a past good experience with BookIt.com. Will not use services again. Dissatisfied.

BookIt never allocated my money to the hotel so I arrived in Mexico to find out my reservation was cancelled. BookIt blamed the resort saying they had my cc # which I hope is not true as that is not supposed to be shared. 4 hours on the phone trying to get everything figured out as the resort I was supposed to stay was full.

It was a great time at Hyatt Ziva. But you have to recommend to your clients that waiter and bartender at the pools are expecting tips. I know you have to give them a gratuity but not as a command. And one day the cleaning lady didn't do the room, we had to call at 7 pm to made it.

On the same booking confirmation page, BookIt indicates the resort fee is $60 for the hotel and further below, it indicates the resort fee as $12. This is completely inconsistent and a significant deviation. Also, when I searched for a particular hotel (Marco Polo) it indicated the hotel had a free cancellation policy. When I modified my reservation package, I was still charged an $82+ fee for the modification. This modification charge was unexpected and as a BookIt customer, I would not want to subject myself to a similar charge in the future by booking through BookIt. The modification I made was within a few hours of the initial booking. Given the charge, again, I would not consider using BookIt again.

In looking at your booking now, it does state that a Resort Fee of $12.50 (plus tax)per room/per day will be charged at check in. If you check out your Guest Voucher, you'll be able to view this information yourself as well. It may be that you're looking at the nightly total after taxes. I booked this trip for my parents and my family (on another booking ID). I had trouble booking the flights for six people all together for the package deals online. I called the customer care and Victoria was very patient and really put in time and effort to help me get everything booked. I am very happy with the service that Victoria provided us. I love BookIt! I tried all other websites and this is by far gotten be the best deal possible. Believe me I checked at least 10 other sites. They gave me 50$ off the bat and I got to use another 100$ off coupon. You can also google "coupons for BookIt", you get plenty. The site is super easy to use. the pictures given are great. It's over all a great website to use to traveling!! The call representative that I spoke with didn't stay within the price range that I wanted her to stay within and she didn't communicate clearly. I felt cheated and lied to because the discount that was email to me wasn't what I received.

Never use Bookit! Terrible customer service. I contacted them regarding a reservation and I was put on hold for about an hour with no resolution. Agent kept telling me she is trying to get a manager and then came back on and said "oh I am contacting the hotel for you". All I needed them to do was modify the dates for my reservations that was made minutes prior to me calling them.

I was ready to book a two-night stay with BookIt.com. I continued to change the guest from one to two. The website would not allow me to change this setting. When I called the telephone number for help, the lady said that I would have to pay $25.00 to change from one guest to two. The entire time, I tried to change from one guest to two and the website completely ignored my request. When I spoke to the representative, she said "It will be $25.00 to change and $25.00 to cancel for a total of $50.00." This is totally unacceptable. I will not pay additional fees for a website that has flaws. My husband and I travel quite often and we will not be bullied by this website.

Mostly because your process did not make it clear during the booking process all hidden charges. It only showed me additional fees that the hotel may collect after the booking was completed. Very unethical way to conduct business. I do not mind paying those fees but it should be identified up front. Do your business clean.

So, went online one night to book a trip. Started at 8:30. Currently am still on hold at 10:38 pm. My flight was booked, but due to my bank's rules, my hotel was not. They ended up charging me twice for a car rental, overdrawing my account, and not having any customer service in regards to that. Long story short, their supervisors & managers are unapologetic for their mistakes. Also disrespectful if you have an issue that THEY caused. I will NEVER book with them again. OK, if everything is seamless. If you have a problem, forget it. Fooled me twice, never again. Will tell anyone who will listen how much they suck.

Paying over $200.00 per night for a mystery room listed as originally $345. Call the hotel. They said I will still need to pay 50 extra per night for a window view. This is so crazy. Called BookIt.com. They said there is nothing they could do. Not fair.

My first time booking with BookIt.com. I found the perfect flight and hotel vacation package for what I thought was a good deal. So I booked the vacation. Just a few hours later I went back to the site and found the same trip for $400 less than what I paid. I immediately called customer service and was told there was nothing they can do for me and a supervisor was available to talk to me. I stated if I was not able to get refund maybe a credit or anything to assist me. The representative only said "sorry your loss!" Unhappy customer.
