Their customer service phone line is such a joke! Blames the lack of response on technical issues yet claim they value you even though they keep you waiting for half an hour. Also, don't believe Cooper's claims of giving you a rebate on tire purchases because they will disappoint you.

Tires had cupping and tread down to 5/32 at 29,000 miles, with balancing done every year and alignment every other year. Tire dealer said I needed to apply for my warranty to Cooper directly. I’m in the process but there is no simple way to apply for warranty online. I will let you know what happens when I’m able to get through to them.

Marketing of $75 rebate is misleading as it is NOT made clear that the rebate is ONLY if you use a specific credit card, however you have to go into and research the requirements rather than it being explained up front. * Goodyear Credit Card offers are subject to credit approval. Get up to $75 back by online or mail-in rebate on a qualifying purchase of a set of 4 select Cooper® tires when the purchase is made on the Goodyear Credit Card from 12/1/2025 through 12/31/2025. DO NOT waste your time and money on Cooper Tires. After 3 years of gentle use on a luxury automobile, with 5 to 6/32" tread left, Cooper totally ignored my request for any kind of warranty, even though their website stated I should be AT LEAST entitled to new tires at 45% off of MSRP. All they did was direct me to some scamming company, Warranty Valet, who wanted money from ME to process their "Hassle Free" warranty claim. Cooper Tire, what a joke!

I purchased a set of Cooper Discoverer Rugged Trek LT 275/65R20 for my 3500 GMC Denali. At about 20,000 miles I had the sidewall completely and instantaneously blow out at 65 mph. It ruined my rim, damaged my fenderwell and in the process of replacing the tire I had to buy 2. The tire had actually shown some fuzzing near the rim the day before but I thought nothing of it. I filed a property damage claim with Cooper/Goodyear. The tire was sent back for them to inspect.

I got a letter back saying the tire damage, and other damage was due to me driving on it when it was flat and there was no factory defect. The side wall had clearly come apart and I had stopped as quickly as possible. My Onstar report showed no problems with tire pressure until it went instantly to zero. I am extremely disappointed in the response and will now be involving lawyers, my insurance company, and the NHTSA. They were supposed to be top shelf tires but the customer service says different.

In 2022 I purchased 4 Cooper Discoverer AT3 S4 Light truck tires for my RAM 1500. I faithfully followed the 6000 mile rotation policy. These tires were supposed to last for 65,000 miles. That was the selling point that I was attracted to when I purchased them. They were worn out at just over 35,000 miles of light road use, to the point that the seller would not rotate them for safety reasons. That means they only lasted for 54% of the 65,000 mile sales pitch. The Seller said that was about average on Light Trucks. I liked the fact that the tires were quiet on the road and they seemed to perform well but they didn't last.

I bought a set of four Cooper tires from Pep Boys in Philadelphia PA in January 2025 for my 2007 Toyota Tundra, yesterday 9 May 2025, I washing my truck and saw that the front left tire looked liked the entire tread was falling off almost like it had been cut. Today I took it into Discount Tires (Cooper Dealer) since there is not a Pep Boys in St. George Utah. Three different Discount Tire folks looked at my tire, they had never seen anything like it. In addition to the tire falling apart, the letters along the sidewall all looked like they had been double stamped which led all of us to believe this was a manufacturing defect.

We called Cooper, they gave me 50% of the value of the tire back under the warranty which in my opinion was ridiculous since this was definitely a manufacturing quality control issue. I will never buy a Cooper Tire again, they should have reimbursed me for the entire tire. I ended up paying $145 today. Highly recommend you never use them. The Discount Tire Team was good, it wasn't their fault but as a Cooper Tire dealer, they should have been able to get me a full refund.

Like many others complaining about Cooper Tires not honoring their rebate. I too have not received mine even though I have been approved. According to the 3rd party handling the rebate, Cooper Tires has not authorized them to load the Visa cards for rebates. When I contact customer service at Cooper Tires, they act like they have no idea as to why the delay is occurring. They make assurances they will look into it and get back with me. Obviously, if they had resolved this, I wouldn't be making this complaint. I wish I had never purchased the tires because if they won't honor their rebate in accordance with the terms of the promotion, I have little confidence they would honor their warranty.

Going on with my third set of Cooper 275/55r20 Adventures HT tires for my RAM 1500. On this truck this is my second set going on. The warranty is for 65,000 miles. I got 30,000 miles and could probably drive another 10,000 with the tread left. I was given 46% towards new tires prorated by the tread wear. I am very happy with that. I have never had an OEM Goodyear last more than 20,000 miles. I love the ride of these tires. Feels like you are on rails. They are smooth and quiet. Great for highway driving. Very impressive in rain. I would buy again, especially since they honor the tread warranty.

I purchased 4 Cooper Discoverer A/T Road and Trail 245/75/r16 from Walmart online. This was October 2024. I submitted the $100 rebate application and was notified via email that I was approved for the $100 rebate. Today is January 30, 2025 and I have still not received my $100 rebate. That was the sole reason I bought them. I've called the rebate center at least 5 times since December 2024 and every time they told me 2 weeks. That 2 weeks turned into 8 weeks and still no rebate. So far, no issues with the tires. But this whole experience, especially the rudeness when calling, has made Cooper Tires a tire I will never purchase again.

I recently purchased 4 Cooper Discoverer Road and Trail tires from my local auto repair shop. I was given a copy of the invoice/work order and the rebate form by my mechanic. I filled out the form and submitted it to Cooper with the invoice. I was notified that it was pending by email. I spent 46 minutes on hold waiting to speak with a representative from Cooper. When I was finally able to speak with someone I was informed that because my mechanic wrote "paid cash in full" on the invoice that they would not honor the rebate. I was advised to get another invoice from the shop and submit it. I spoke with the auto repair shop and received another invoice without handwriting on it and submitted to Cooper. 2 days later my claim was flat out denied. Have 9 vehicles and have purchased Cooper tires for each of them over the years. Their rebate is a complete scam and I have purchased my last set of Cooper tires.

Don't buy Cooper Tires if you may ever drive on a dirt road. I bought coopers at the recommendation of the local tire seller, and they apologize every time I come in to repair one of them because rock go right through them. Due to the insurance that I thankfully purchased with them they are replaced with the same crappy cooper tires. In forty years of driving, I have never seen a rock from a gravel road go through the tread (not between) of a brand-new tire. the only thing worse than the tire is the customer service. If you do happen to get through the electronic maze you will be referred to another maze of button pushing. Only wish I could give less than one star.

Which the company does not provide any contact information or allows any response to emails. Cooper should only need the invoice reference number and store location to process the rebate. I currently have 18,000 miles on these tires, installed on a Durango. I have rotated every 5 to 6 thousand miles. I complained to tire dealership I bought at. Since a couple of my rotations were not at this provider they said I wasn't rotating enough and probably need alignment. Got records on alignments, done right after bought tires and on recheck all still aligned. Very disappointed in these tires, not even halfway through the mileage of 50K rating. My Durango is so loud with the cupping of the tires. It's ridiculous. And nothing I can get done about it. Side note, Got a company truck that they put Cooper Discovery 3. This thing is serviced every 6K miles including rotation and they are cupping the same way, got 25K miles on them but basically the same results even with all the rotations and aligned.

In May 2018, I bought 4 Cooper Tire’s Evolution Tour tires with 65000 miles warranty. After installation, I took the car to Tire Plus to get a full alignment with 3 years warranty and repeated alignment check. I used the alignment as frequently as needed. I also had tire rotation done with oil changes. Meaning all of the required steps to make sure tire maintenance is obeyed- have been taken.

In July 2020, as a result of a nail in a tire, I took the car to Tire Plus for repair. The Manager, called to say the tire is dangerous to place back on the car – since inside wall of the tire is wore out to its belt- when outside shows no sign of wear. He also pointed out another tire which has been wearing uneven. He also stated, "It is against the law for us to repair that tire" – knowing the inner condition. So, he only could place my donut spare on the car. I went home and used another full-size rim and tire I had previously purchased and held – to replace two bad tires that manager said were unsafe. This means - within the first 30,000 miles, two of Cooper tires had to be taken off my car.

I called Cooper, spoke with Doug about condition of the tires. He gave me a case number and told me to go to a Cooper dealer in order to look at the tires and adjust accordingly. It took about 2-3 weeks to speak with who sold me the tires. He said, he is not a Cooper dealer, call Cooper Corp to find dealers. Corp reps were directing me to different local stores, but stores told me - they are not Cooper dealer or not anymore). So, after visiting several stores, I slowed as My time would allow, with 2 very young extremely active kids during daycare and pre-k school closures due to covid-19, my own illness, move due to finances and searching for work/income when time would allow. Meanwhile, I had to replace the donut spare tire with another donut tire (as I have been driving this transportation– to make sure, I am not overusing the donut spare- endangering my kids.

Finally, the first week of December I was able to go to NTB to discuss the four tires in hope for replacement and proper credit from Cooper. I knew I am responsible for partial bill. I called Cooper and spoke with Eric in detail about the condition of the tires. He told me to have NTB to call Cooper for description of Defect and credit.

Even though I clearly explained to Eric about the UNEVEN WEAR as well as the MASSIVE WEAR INSIDE 2 tires while OUTSIDE showed no sign; when NTB rep called Cooper, Cooper was not really interested to know the UNSAFE condition of the tires (Safety of MY KIDS); but ONLY interested to know the amount of tread left on each tire – so they could prorate based on the tread left – EVEN THOUGH such proration is very improper – considering the fact that tires are defective and wearing internally which made them to be dangerous to be put back on the rime/car.

Of course, two of the tires that I had to take out (based on Tire Plus manager’s explanation- see 2nd parag. above), had the highest tread size 5/32 – well because, I could not use them anymore. Cooper – knowing that the tires are dangerous to have on the car- only gives 24% credit- as Eric and Dough claim, these tires have a lot of tread left. Also, I have to pay for tire installations, balance and all other fees associated with placing new tires on the car. It is UNREASONABLE, to pay for these fees. I did not cause the defect, but Cooper’s own negligence has done so. In less than half of the life of the tires, I have to pay because of Copper’s dangerous tire.

It is sad that I have to continue placing my kids in danger of reusing Cooper tire, as my finances are limited. If I had any choice, I would use other manufacture, write off the terrible experience and product of Cooper Tire Company and share such with other consumers around the planet. This was the first time I used Cooper tire in my life, and it will definitely be the last.
