I purchased 4 Cooper StarFire tires. I am a senior and I don’t drive a whole lot as I work from home and have been since 2014. These tires have never been any good. I have had nothing but problems and I’ve had to replace one already and on the 2nd one now. BUYER BEWARE! Throw your money in the toilet. They never wanted an odometer reading to prove mileage. So I am unhappy and you have to have a holes in your head to buy Cooper Tire. I would rather buy retreads.

I bought these tires for my F250 and they are splitting on the sidewalls, 2 tires, 3rd has small splits starting to split. I rotate my tires and check the air pressure often, I was surprised to see the split over half the way around the tire. Now it's too dangerous to drive.

I purchased 5 Cooper 275/65R18 Discoverer ATS4S OWL 116T tires for my F-150 truck on 3/28/2019. One tire I used for the spare. I usually purchase a tire of the same kind in case I run into an issue and need a new tire to match. At the time I purchased a wheel alignment. On 9/16/2019 I returned to my tire centre to have the tires rotated because they felt out of balance. At that time they informed me my alignment was out and my driver side tire was unevenly worn. At first I thought maybe I hit a pothole as we have a lot of them where I live. I had them realign the the vehicle and had them switch the spare with the worn tire.
Within 5000 Ks my tires were making a whooping noise as I drove at highway speed. This time I went to my Ford dealer and they informed me that my tires were all cupped and that’s what was causing the noise. Two months later I had the tires removed as they were now badly worn out. I purchased the tires at 121,282 kilometres and replaced them at 161,000 (about a year and a half) kilometres which works out to roughly 25000 miles. I am now coming to the conclusion that it wasn’t the alignment issue but the poor quality tires that were to blame. I won’t ever purchase Cooper tires again. Once a company losses my trust there are no second chances.

I purchased a set of the Discover at3’s for my 2012 Escape and have had nothing but problems with them. They always seem to become unbalanced and I can feel every bump in the road because of how stiff they are. I contacted Cooper and they said there’s nothing they can do to get me a refund so I can purchase a different set of tires. I will not be purchasing another set of Coopers for any of my future vehicles.

https: Attached you will see pictures of a bad tire on my wife's 2010 Nissan Maxima. Thank the good Lord that she did not have an accident. This tire did not blow out. It was definitely a defective tire. As you can see from the pictures the tire still had good thread on it but evidently it was defective. In all the years I've worked on cars I have never seen a tire do such a thing. By the grace of God it did not blow out why my wife is driving home from work. I'm very disappointed because this situation should have never occurred. IMG_20200111_101651392.jpg. IMG_20200111_101532572.jpg. IMG_20200111_101835361.jpg/photos.app.goo.gl/

My Zeon LTZ XL tires are cracking and falling apart. I called to get it fixed and was offered $158 rebate on the $1000 tires I recently bought. So I'm out the 1000 and have to get new tires. The open recall that is on them doesn't match the right size they said. I think it's a design flaw that needs to be addressed across the board. Buy anything but Cooper.

Discoverer AT3 XLT. Nice riding, nice looking and quiet for a twin peak winter rated tire. Now the bad part. I was getting 12mpg with my stock Michelin tires on my 2011 Chevy Duramax. Since installing the Coopers I have dropped to 8.8mpg pulling my 5th wheel. The rollability is certainly worse.

I had AT3 Cooper tires installed on my F150. They are terribly out of balance. They tried 14 ounces of bead balancing, did not work, 3 tires were literally bouncing down the road. Then, they tried rim weights, it took an amazing 13-14 ounces to make 3 out of 4 of them drivable at all. The tire tech then says, "You can never put this one anywhere but the right rear". That's ridiculous! How can I rotate the wheels! My rims with Pirella tires only needed 1-2 ounces to balance. I watched them being balanced. They are not bent or have any runout. And, when 3 of 4 are this way, it says it's a tire problem. When it takes nearly 1 pound to balance a tire, the manufacturing process is very poor.

I bought my Cooper AT3 tires a year ago. I like the quiet ride. Good traction in many different terrains including mud and gravel with lots of pavement in between. These are 10 ply tires. I Haul my travel trailer mostly with my pickup. I’ve put over 10 k on the tires so far. No problems at all. The tread looks just like new. They were on sale and a great price. They also offered a mail in rebate which I received from them no problem. I’ve logged a couple million miles as a truck driver and I recommend the coopers to anyone. I’d like to add that if you hit something, it’s not the tires fault. If a valve stem breaks, it’s not the tires fault. If you run the tire with low air pressure, it’s not the tires fault when it explodes. My next tires will be Cooper’s. good product Cooper!

It's low mileage. On a 4 mile trip to work each day. Rear tyres are totally bald. Had my vehicle checked for any mechanical issues and it's perfect. I've had my Cooper Tires for 1 year and they are wearing unevenly. Talked to the dealership who sold me the tires as well as their distributor. I have had regular oil changes, tire rotations and alignment checks on my car over the last year and the tires are FAULTY wearing unevenly causing the ride to be rough and LOUD. I tried to work with the dealership as well as the distributor who both told me COOPER won't warranty the tires.
So I called them direct and they said it was my car's fault?? Meanwhile my first set of tires had 60,000 miles on them with ZERO issues, my car is serviced regularly and otherwise in mint condition. I will NEVER buy another set of Cooper Tires and would caution anyone considering them to spend the extra money and buy something of quality and who VALUES their dealers and distributors. The dealership I went to said they have been promised in the past by Cooper to warranty tires and they defaulted. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, POOR PRODUCT.... buyers beware.

Purchased two Cooper CS3 touring tires last year on a road trip in Lordsburg NM, due to my Continentals failing. My gas mileage immediately dropped from 27 down to 24 mpg. One year and 26,000 miles later, tread depth is now 3/32". They are starting to get flats, which happens when tires are nearly worn out. I've lost the warranty paperwork, but they had either 60,000 or 80,000 mile warranty. The most expensive tires I've ever bought. I would go back to Lordsburg and try to get warranty replacement, but the cost of poor fuel economy is more than the value of the tires.

We purchased 4 Cooper Tires where the salesperson said we would get $75 rebate for 4 tires. Filled out info online and found rebate is 15% up to $75. Not a deal breaker. I later received email with a virtual MasterCard in the amount of $66.61. Unfortunately, the card doesn’t work. After many tries, I went back to the virtual card site and there is no contact information for help. They give you a web link that goes to a page to get Info. I input the info that they requested, and the page kept going blank and said there was a problem. Again, no contact info.
I contacted Cooper Tires customer service who replied with a phone number to call for help with that. I called and the person I spoke with said that they don’t have any info on that. Again, no help. Went back to Cooper Tire Cust Service...nothing. Called the phone number again and again a different person states that their system doesn’t maintain those cards. Still awaiting response from Cooper Tires. A “virtual” card rebate is just that - virtual. Can’t redeem it, can’t spend it, can’t collect it. I later filed a complaint with the government for Internet Fraud. Doesn’t get my rebate back, though. It’s a scam obviously.

I am never going to buy Cooper Tires ever again. I've had Cooper AT3 tires fitted to my Prado. They did not reach the mileage that is guaranteed and they were only 27 months old when they started to crack along the beads parallel to the rim. I tried to make a warranty claim because Cooper's website says they will replace tires with manufacturing defects within 72 months of manufacture. My tires were manufactured in the 11th week of 2016. They were fitted in January 2017. I discovered the fault in April 2019. Called a very unhelpful rep from Cooper Tires who was not willing to honor any warranty. 50 mins later going around In circles all he could offer was a 10 percent pro-rata credit on the tire. This is because it has travelled 90 percent of its guaranteed mileage, he also went on to say that any extra mileage was a bonus.
My argument was that the tires were in great condition and rotated regularly to prolong the tread life and had a lot of tread and that he should honor the pro-rata based on the fact that the tires are only 27 months old. He refused to offer any replacement and reluctantly reofferd a 10 percent credit. Therefore I will never buy this overrated, underperforming brand ever again. My experience with Cooper Tires was terrible and I should have gone with my gut instinct and bought Japanese tires instead of the American ones which will be going in the bin as soon as I replace them with Dunlop AT22 which Toyota fit at the factory.

Cooper Tire 235/45R17 CS5 Ultra Touring 94W Tread wear: 50,000 mile tread. Purchased new, $155 each. 2004 Volvo V70 station wagon. Tires have been driven 21,151 miles in 15 months. Three alignments done. Approximately 4-6 rotation and balances done, because the tires won't stay balanced. These tires never stayed balanced. They have always had a small vibration. On cool and cold mornings, the vibration was very bad.
I replaced front struts, rear shocks, wheels, control arms, ball joints, tie rods, CV shafts, sway-bar links, brake rotors, and engine mounts. None of these replacements corrected the vibration. I believe the tires were manufactured poorly. I have not hit a curb or pothole. The separation is occurring along a channel that can be seen on both the inner and outer sidewalls. This tire is still available, although it has been discontinued. My concern is that the other tires may have the same results.
