I beg people to read reviews on all consumer sites and BBB sites before deciding to commit to having panels installed by these people. Last year their sales person showed up at our door. We had contemplated solar power for years, but financially, it never fit. And I had always felt our house was not properly oriented for ideal collection. We had owned a Passive solar home before. The salesmen told us that by using panels on both sides, western and eastern facing, we could gain enough energy to offset our bill and save 30 to 40% WITH NO OUT OF POCKET EXPENSE. Too good to be true. They sent someone out to do a solar gain test, metering the energy collected from our rooftop. We decided it was a no lose situation. The installation and certification/inspection process alone was enough to make me wonder how they survive.
We got up and running in December 2014, immediately our bill was higher! We were told that we started at the most inopportune time, solar gain is at its worst. We waited until spring, savings were minimum at best. Again I questioned them on the billing and promises that were made. I also asked to talk to a supervisor, not available. I contacted the Utah Better Business Bureau, then got phone calls from supervisors at Vivint. I questioned again, for the 5th-6th time why we were not accumulating KWH's. I also asked why they did not cover the back roof (western exposure) with panels. That would seem logical.
I was told by a supervisor to forward a copy of my utility bills (I did) and that she would look into the panel situation, and the panels collection ability. On 6/4/15 she E-Mailed me saying that she was still working on the panel layout, she will get in touch in a couple days. I was expecting a call the first of July as I was told. I've placed a call into the supervisor this am, she was not in yet. This is my last call to Vivint. My next call will be to the NJ Bureau of Public Utilities. I'll also contact all other owners of Vivint systems in my area.

I am writing this because before I committed to working with them, I came on here and other sites and found a lot of negative reviews about them. A friend of mine had gone with Vivint and told me how they were saving her money. It just so happened that 2 weeks later, a rep showed up to my door in Melville, NY. I felt very comfortable with him because he happened to live a few miles away in Dix Hills and was able to show me his bill and how he had saved a significant amount of money.
He was very professional and took the time to go over everything with me and my husband. We felt very comfortable which was the big thing for us. He even offered us the chance to come and see his system. He was spot on with his time frame of how long it would take before we were up and running and how the tax credit worked. I would highly recommend ** and wanted to come on here and support them as I had also read some negative things, but am a very pleased customer and felt compelled to write this.
Lauren,
Thank you for your review. Please let us know if we can help with anything in the future.

The sales part of Vivint went fine. But from there it has gone down hill. It's been a couple of months the system has still not been hook up. One side of Vivint doesn't know what the other side is doing. When electricians came out first I was told everything on the inside of my house was done. It hasn't. I had a set of 5 electricians show up unannounced to work on my house but I wasn't informed they were coming. I have my own business and had a meeting. That was the Friday before Memorial Day weekend. Haven't seen them since.
On the initial set up of solar panels being install they damaged my gutters and never said anything to me. I was clearing my vent today June 21 2015 and saw the damage. Also need to do some repair to my fish pond with a new breaker. I went down and there is a sign on my fuse panel that says Vivint property Photovoltanic ac - disconnect prior to working inside panel. (I paid for the panel not Vivint so why do they say it's their property?) So I called their 800 number and no one can help me with the shut off so I have Koi and they may die. I would never recommend this company to anybody so they don't have to go through the problems I'm having.

When their person walked to my door, he pounded on it like my house was on fire. When I opened the door he said, "Hey dude, you haven't been home the last few times I came by." I asked, "Who are you?" He replied with "I'm the solution to your energy problem." I told him to leave. He would not. I finally got him to and he came back 2 weeks later after I spoke with Vivint and told them in no uncertain terms he is NOT welcome.
So today, this moron doesn't pound on my door but rings the doorbell 3 times. I open the door. He says again, "I've been trying to get to you. You're never home." I replied, "Aren't you the person I threw off my property once already?" He said, "Yes, but I..." I told him again, "No interest. Please just leave my property and don't come back" -- to which his reply this time was "Friggin' moron you are." What? Are you for real? This company is unreal and truly unprofessional. I would sooner go to no electricity than buy so much as a battery from them.
Thank you for notifying us of this, Robert. We have addressed this situation.

Several months ago we were contacted by a salesperson who came to the door. My husband had just gotten out of the hospital so I told him we would discuss it and, if we wanted to discuss further, we would contact him. About ten days later he showed up again wanting to meet with us. We were expecting out of town guests, and I was in the middle of cleaning the house so I told him that now was not convenient and could he come back in a week. He went into "high pressure mode" and said all he needed was 5 minutes blah...blah...blah. At that point I became very irritated and told him we were NOT going to meet with right then and, IF he wanted our business, come back next week, which he FINALLY agreed to do.
He showed up again in a few days so we agreed to meet with him. He was a nice looking kid, clean cut and spoke well. He explained the company and process with promises of saving us thousands of dollars a year. We agreed to have an evaluation done the following week and filled out a contract, but did not sign it at that time. As part of the process, we were asked to give him a voided check so they could ensure we had a valid checking account. We were told they would do a $1.00 withdrawal and a $1.00 deposit. After he left I just didn't feel comfortable so I started doing some research and came across hundreds of horrible reviews. We decided not to proceed with the evaluation and go with another, more reputable company. We called the company and cancelled the appointment we had for the evaluation and thought no more about it.
The following week I received our bank statement and found that yes, they did take $1.00 out of our checking account HOWEVER.... there was NO deposit of $1.00. NICE LITTLE SCAM!!!! Then, a couple of days later, the salesman shows up AGAIN saying he heard that we had some questions and had come to answer them. Nice try idiot!! My husband told him we had NO questions and that we'd read the horrible reviews and we would NOT be going ahead with his company. Of course the had hundreds of excuses for the bad reviews but, instead of listening, my husband escorted him off our property with the request that he NOT return.
Fast forward several weeks.... I noticed that a neighbor down the street was having them do an install on their home. It appears to be done in a timely manner however, the panels are DIRECTLY under a huge tree which completely shades the panels by about 2:30-3:00 in the afternoon. It's on a south facing portion of the roof so it's getting some indirect sun in the morning hours, but nothing after 3:00!! That just makes no sense to me. I'd stay FAR, FAR away from these people!!!!

Going solar with Vivint was a joke. They are a bunch of crooks and incompetent people! I was told I would be saving at least 50/60 off my electric bill! Well my bills are higher than they ever have been!!! I had lower bills when I just had SCE!!! I live alone and my bills when I had SCE were a lot less! Since I have Vivint solar my bills are outrageous and I keep getting nothing but excuses why they are high because I am producing a lot of electricity from my panels so they tell me!! You would think since I am creating a lot of electricity that my bills should be lower!! I was gone in March for 32 days and my bill was high like it was summer!!
I had everything off! And once again I get nothing but BS from Vivint!!! I would tell anyone who is considering Vivint not to use them!!! I was also told I would see $4.00 bills in the winter and also credits from SCE which once again I have never had $4.00 electric bill!! And never have seen credits!!! I have told them that I want this system removed completely and all I get is BS and the run around! These claim to fame Mormon boys are nothing but crooks!!! DON'T USE VIVINT! Major Ripp Off!!

The sales, install, product, and service have been very good. However, the billing department and customer support have been horrible. Their contract sets up automatic payments but whatever you do don't give them access to your account. They forget to charge you one month and tell you you're wrong when you bring it to attention. Then without justification they'll take thousands from your account and call it a glitch. I actually had to call my local police department and file a fraud report.
William - We looked up your information and only found an account with Vivint, Inc. alarm systems. Do you have a solar account or is this regarding your security system? If it is regarding your security system, you must know that we are a separate company from Vivint, Inc. and ask you to direct your complaint to them. Thank you!

This is one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with. Unprofessional and flat out dishonest. We had our solar put in and it took six months, we were told it was growing pains of a new company and let it go. A year later my mother wanted solar so I called our sales rep to see if the company had gotten their act together and he promised me that they did. I believed and referred my mother who had over 50 panels put on (big pay check for the company). It has been almost nine months and three FAILED inspections. She is still not hooked up. I called today and was told I would receive a call back and I told them I'll believe it when I see it...yep no call back. RUN LIKE THE WIND FROM THIS COMPANY.

My neighbor referred me in Framingham, Mass. and he had done comparisons with 3 other providers but they all promised a 6-month delay in installing it. My rep gave me 12 weeks time window and everything happened on schedule. The technicians explained everything, my system went up and running by the 4th month. My roof is producing 95% of my energy and I have lowered my annual energy costs 55%.

Haven't pulled the trigger yet on getting my panels installed. After reading all the reviews it seems like I might skip on the solar and remain a traditional PSE&G customer. I feel Vivint needs to have a better plan with local electric companies to expedite switching the systems over after install. I feel as if I get installed now I'll miss out on the summer months which is when I really want to see my savings. Any comments or suggestions are welcomed. Thanks.

We signed a contract with Vivint in March, 2014. Awaiting about 5 months for city approval, they finally got the permit to put the panels up in August 2014. Until today June 15 2015, we still don't have solar. Sale representative was gone, no one took over to inform us of anything. It is a horrible experience for us. We will NEVER recommend this company to anyone. We are stucked with a 20 years contract from the date they start billing us. It means over the past year until now, they do not count that time elapse as part of the 20 years. If there is a lawsuit against this company for bad business practice, we will gladly join in.

I was scared because I read all the reviews from this page and I asked my rep, he gave me 8 references in my town and gave me the list of all 31 of his customers and told me to go knock on the doors of other customers and talk to them directly. Ask them anything. I called and emailed the 8, got great reviews about the savings and my rep and the process. I took a gamble and I am really happy with my panels. I am 81 years old and I will not see them all the way through the contract but I wanted to help the planet.

Vivint Solar hires incompetent and/or inebriated employees. One of their work vans had an UNSECURED WORK LADDER at least 15-20 ft long, spinning around on top of the van. The van passed me in the left lane and the ladder struck my vehicle. The driver knew and didn't pull over - I tried chasing him down. He struck two other vehicles who all pulled over while he kept going and then he almost crashed into a toll booth on the Key Bridge. The ladder was torn off the top of the van after smashing into the back of a semi-truck where it landed across both lanes of traffic on the bridge, bringing traffic to a screeching halt so they didn't run into it, almost causing multiple accidents. He was a quarter of a mile down the road when he realized what happened.
He backed the truck up, almost swerving into the jersey wall several times, before he got out and stumbled to pick up the ladder like nothing happened. I started taking pictures of him and he got angry when he saw what I was doing so I drove off rather than trying to approach him about his hit and run with my vehicle. I called the customer service line to report him and the woman was very concerned but couldn't really help me. She gave me an email address for the Baltimore support line to send the pictures to. I sent them in and demanded that they contact me. I got a voicemail from a supervisor there saying they were calling to talk about an "incident" that occurred that day (not the ACCIDENT that his employee caused) and when I called him, he didn't pick up. They even deleted the review and pictures I posted to their Facebook page. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE DANGEROUS AND MORONIC INDIVIDUALS.

I was referred by someone to Vivint Solar! My first impression was horrible should have known right there this is wrong. Salesman showed up with his hat on crooked droopy pants. Not the way a salesman usually dresses. Well he came, told me what he was going to save me - blah blah - all good sign. They install in Jul,y call Dec. 29, tell me they're going to turn system on. No savings and system isn't communicating with main office. I call, tell them no savings and it's not working. Salesman comes out, calls, they walk him through what to do to fix it. Next month same thing and they're supposed to monitor it 24/7 - nothing!!!
Finally I beg for a service guy, he comes and fixes it, I save a little. Everyone I know has credit with PSEG, my friend stop by who works for SolarCity, does a quick 1-2 designs a system of 14 kW. Vivint designed an 8.67 kW system so I call in March, tell them everything that's going on. Get a guy on the phone, tells me my system is an outdated piece of ** on my roof - this is a guy that works at Vivint 3x - he tells me that! Then he tells me I should have hired an engineer to make sure Vivint was going to put the right size system on my roof.
So I call PSEG and find out they encourage solar companies to increase panels if they can. I call Vivint and ask them, they say PSEG doesn't allow it back forth. I get a letter and send it to Vivint. They now say, "I never said that we don't put more panels on, you signed a 30-year contract and you're screwed for 20 years" - nothing I can do about it!!! So here I am still trying to get more panels installed from Vivint almost a year later!!! Don't ever use Vivint Solar!!!

My mother had this alarm system put in. It worked for a while, and then it didn't. It has not worked for at least a year. But the company has taken out the monthly service fee for of $51 dollars since the system was put in. My mother, my brother, my sister as well as myself have called over and over again, we get the run around, we never get satisfaction. When my mother tried to cancel the service, they told her she couldn't because she signed a contract for four years but she has never signed a contract and they did tell her she could cancel the service at any time.
This company is a very bad company. They prey on the old and weak. They look for they can con. They are liars, cheats and con artist. Just look at all the complaints online, look at all the lawsuits they have settled for doing just a little of the things I have said. The Better Business Bureau won't even give them a rating. Tomorrow we will go to the Ill Attorney General's office and our attorney to file a complaint and look at getting a class action lawsuit here in Illinois like Wisconsin did.

A Vivint salesman knocked on my door in December 2014, saying that my daughter referred him to me. I later found that she did not. I told him that my electricity bills were not large enough to merit their interest. He said that Vivint services were no different than Southern California Edison -- that Vivint would charge me 15 cents per KWh. On May 5 I received a bill that was 59% greater than Edison's of a year ago! In contacting Vivint, I was told "At Vivint Solar, we bill on production rather than usage, meaning that we will bill you for all of the energy your panels create from the sun rather than billing you for what your home uses..." This is a total misrepresentation of what I was led to believe. Nor, is Vivint cost effective! I am a single senior citizen and I feel that I have been duped.

I watched the under cover boss show that Vivint did and that was a lie, he does not care about anything but himself. We were in the process of getting a residential loan for a reverse mortgage, to eliminate our house payments in the future. Both myself and my wife are retired and on a limited income. When the lender checked the county for any liens on our property, it was revealed that two weeks prior, Vivint Solar had put a lien/encumbrance on our property so our request for a reverse mortgage was denied due to the lien/encumbrance on our home. The lien/encumbrance was put on our property two weeks before the lender checked with the county for any liens.
Vivint Solar has denied the fact that there is a lien on our property. They say that there is no lien/encumbrance of any kind on the title of our property. Vivint Solar has a hold on our home to which we will never be able to get a reverse mortgage, or refinance our home. Since we can not complete the reverse mortgage loan we started, we are out a loss of $300.00 for the home appraisal fee. Vivint Solar is a untrustworthy company, and has denied the fact that there is a lien/encumbrance.
John, after the install of a solar energy system in California, Vivint Solar is required by California’s public utilities code to file a Notice of Independent Solar Energy Producer Contract. This Notice is filed in the county real property records where the system is located and is not a lien. It merely provides notice to others that the system on the home is not owned by the homeowner, but is instead owned by Vivint Solar.
Vivint Solar works with a service provider in California that administers and coordinates the filing of these Notices. There was a miscommunication with this service provider and the filing of the Notice which is why you were delayed. Once the error was found, the service provider promptly sent the Notice for filing on November 4, 2014. But due to backlog, the county did not actually record the Notice until March 30, 2015. Although this Notice filing and the reverse mortgage approval are independent from one another, we clarified and corrected any miscommunication with your mortgage broker. You should have been able to move forward without any issues once the filing was done. We apologize for any frustration and inconvenience.

A month later I learned Vivint did a HARD credit inquiry resulting in a decrease in my credit rating with 2 of the 3 main credit bureaus. He answered all of my questions, so I signed up on the spot. I then went online to read the reviews. I noticed that there are numerous bad reviews, but I chose to continue with my installation. To the point of installation taking a long time: there are many procedural boxes to check off before the installation can be approved. I had great response from my sales rep and management. Vivint Solar has made it possible for my family and I to go Solar. No out of pocket cost and I save money by paying 11.5 cents a Kwh instead of the utilities yearly average of 21.5 cents a Kwh. They have delivered everything that they said they would and the process goes at a good pace. It is not like you're paying the 20-30k out of your own pocket so relax. You have to remember Vivint is the only one losing out if they don't have you up and running. My system was installed on Friday April 24th, and needs a tweak or two to get it fully operational. I was the first system in my area installed with the Solaredge technology that Vivint is switching to.
The install went very well and the install crew and electricians were fantastic. They went over the PV design and addressed all my questions and concerns. Overall a fantastic experience so far. The PPA is great for people that do not have an option of buying the system outright. It is fully transferable to the next owner of your home if you do sell before the 20 years is up.. Vivint maintains the system, insures it and guarantees your roof wont leak for the duration of the 20yr PPA. I recommend Vivint Solar. They had the best price per KWH and everyone from the company that I have dealt with has been great. They installed a 26 panel 6.76 PV system that should save me 40% on my electric bill by producing 85-90 percent of my electrical needs.

We had panels installed around September, but they weren't switched on until mid January (we were expecting a month or less). Our rep told us the county and utility inspections were out of their hands and they couldn't do much about it, but it would have been nice if they could help speed the process along. The installation was pretty smooth, took about three or four hours (I had to take half a day off work so we didn't have to wait another month for a Saturday spot). We've only had a couple monthly power bills from them now, and we're excited to see what they'll do in summer.
We've been tracking our system's output through the program they provide because we heard people online say they weren't getting credit for their production or they were getting billed for power they didn't produce. So far the bills have been for what the meter reads each month, and pretty close to the production estimate we got with our design back before the system was installed. I'm not sure if some of the meters are defective or people just don't know how much power they're using, but so far everything's been pretty much as promised, though a little behind schedule.
Thank you for this feedback, James. And thank you for being patient through the process. Hopefully you have found that it is worth it and are enjoying all the benefits that come with going solar. Thank you again!

I hate to have to join the chorus of frustrated customers, but I have to start saying something. Very compelling sales force. I did my due diligence on the value of the proposition, and signed my agreement in August 2014 with promises of rapid (@ 8-weeks) installation and going operational - it's April 2015 now and last I was told was it will be a few more months, and that's only after I have complained over and over about my service. Worst is the absolute absence of communication from supervisors and managers. I don't even want to talk to any customer advocate, the front line folks, as they have no power to do anything, and, while most of them are pleasant, they contradict each other frequently, leading me to the conclusion that the operational controls at Vivint are non-existent. I wish I could cancel my contract, but, alas, I'm sure I'm stuck. My advice is to look elsewhere for solar services.

Back in July early August I signed with Vivint for solar panels to be installed. It has been 10 months and I have been lied to several times stating the town hasn't approved the plan. That was a lie. I went to the town the approved the plan 30 days prior, then I was told PSEG didn't approve credit application and that it has been over 90 days. They had to apply again. Gave clearance for that only to find out paperwork was submitted incorrectly the first time. I called my salesperson ** and asked the status. November, December, January February and on March 24th was told the installation would be April 7th 8am in the morning.
Guess what? This is being sent on April 7th 10am. No call, no show, and my salesperson has not returned any of my calls from last week through this morning. I have been patient and understanding until today since I took a day off from work today hoping the panel install would happen but as I stated but no show. I believe this company is in over its head because if this is happening to me I am sure others have the same issues. Furthermore if they can't install the panels timely what makes me think they can do anything else? I will probably break contract and begin to find a reputable company. The consequences are only lost some time, frustration, but overall I won't have to be in bed with these people for 20 years and that is a good thing that came out of this.

VIVINT SOLAR - Don't do it! You won't save as much as the sales person will lead you to believe. Don't do it! I had Vivint Solar installed about a year and a half ago. The bill went down about $35 -$40 for about 6 months. Great! I even had one month when I got a refund check from Edison - the electric company. Then it started to go up. Most months I'm paying more than pre-solar. My bill is actually higher! If I'm saving anything throughout the year - it's not much. I would not suggest Vivint Solar under any circumstance. Don't do it!

One year ago I decided to put in Vivint Solar. I was so excited I got my 3 neighbors to do it as well. Before we even got the solar my neighbor and I had comparable bills. If I pay this Edison bill I will be paying more than I did before I had solar. We were never told about the year end bill from Edison which shocked us but when mine came and was 4 times the amount of my neighbors' I was floored. I contacted Edison and they came and checked the meter and all was fine. When I contacted Vivint they did nothing but give me excuses. I found out my panels went down for 2 months (I was still billed) and that I was not getting full capacity of of my units.
When I explained that my neighbors' houses were the same model and bigger than my house and that all 3 of their bills were considerably lower, they informed me to put more panel on. I said I have the max and I have the same mount as my neighbors. I told them I wanted a technician to come and check the unit. They have given me the run around and I still have not received a call. I am so frustrated that I told them they could take off the panels if this is the way they are going to treat people.

They send in slick salesman with great stories, but don't follow through and keep you hanging. A complete waste of time. This company is a joke.

Signed a contract with Vivint to have solar panels installed on roof. They came on Nov 2014 to install the panels. Instead of using nippers to cut the shingles, they used a claw hammer to rip the shingles where the brackets need to go. Used a drill and drilled 30 holes and still could not find a stud to install the brackets. Used caulk to fill the holes. They carted off a bushel of broken shingles. But get this, when I wanted to go up on my own roof to look over their installation, I was told I couldn't!! My roof but I couldn't come up and check out what all the noise was. Now we know why they didn't want me to see the condition of my roof!! They tore it all up.
Then their electricians "accidentally" took a heavy duty electric extension cord from us when they came out to do the hook up. The salesman gave us a 25.00 gift card, can't fault the guy but that cord would cost 3 to 4 times that amount to replace.... Failed the county inspection because of lack of stickers and pictures.... Really!! Took over 3 weeks to reschedule the county to reinspect. Then 3 more weeks for BG&E to change meter. Still waiting to be able to flip the switch and finally find out if we will save anything. Nov 2014 to present and still no solar. This company has too many excuses when you call. We understand that life events happen but no one person in a company should shoulder all of the work, and when a life event does happen, the company needs to have a backup plan in place.
Our advice to anyone looking to use Vivint is DON'T!!! Try Solar City, but make sure you read and have a lot of questions answered before you sign. Will update here when solar is turned on.

When the salesman came to my house he was great at promoting the solar panels. One of the questions I had since we get a lot of snow was, "Won't the snow cover the panels and I won't save during the winter?" The salesman promised me that the panels remain so hot that the snow will NOT stick to the panels. Of course that was a huge LIE!! The panels have about a foot of snow on them and the panels have not produced any power. When I called customer support they said if it's not in the contract nothing they can do. I will now be on a mission to make sure no one else signs up for Vivint Solar.

In May of 2014 we signed a contract for solar panels to be installed on our home to help offset the cost of our high energy bill. Our average monthly energy bill with the care discount and a medical baseline discount averaged well over 300 dollars a month and in the summer has been close to 700. Wanting help and some relief we listened to Solar sales person on what we could save, we thought it was a great idea. We have seen other homes and the panels looked okay.
Well we had 79 panels installed on our home. The system is not to this day up and fully working properly. Vivint takes out monthly charges yet I have not had a 30 day period to rate for charges. Energy company says more than half panels not working. Have called on situation every week trying to get system corrected. Poor customer service. And charges from energy provider and Vivint are more or the same as prior to panels. Misrepresentation of entire program. It's now February 2015.

Failed to have the necessary materials for the county building and electrical inspectors when they came out for the inspections - delayed progress 1 week. System Drawings are still defective. Don't follow up on installation progress. Sometimes resulting in months of delay. Didn't install correctly - I had to call to get the errors corrected before the inspector came out. Several days after they told me to turn the system on, I found it was still not working. I had to wait 1 week for them to send someone out to discover that they had turned the inverters off from corporate in Utah and it took another day to get them to turn it on.
The web site requires you to check it 2 times a day to get all the data and there is no historical record so if you miss it, it's gone. The web site is down more than it is up - 3 of 4 weeks in January. Now the web site is telling me that they are waiting for the letter from the electric co for permission to operate so I can turn it on - after it has been operating for more than 3 months.
Thank you for updating us on your situation, Ron. We're sorry to hear about your experience. We have sent your account over to our IT group to resolve your individual website issues. We don't have a timeline as to when the Account Center will be fully functional but, if you wish, we can manually create monthly production reports to send to you in the mean time.

Signed up for Solar in March 2014. They got right on to putting the solar panels up and by June we were ready for the final inspection. Had final inspection and I am STILL waiting for Vivint and SoCal Edison to allow me to use all this solar that has been sitting uselessly on my roof. In the meantime, Edison says Vivint installed too many panels on my roof. Vivint has done NOTHING to solve this problem. I call them about once a month to complain and I am ignored. I couldn't even use it during the hot summer months. I am beyond disgusted with this company.

It was horrible. It went on for about two or three months of the actual installation and then finally turning it on. I know they had trouble with the city of Simi Valley in getting approved, but that's not my problem. They weren't honest with me about what my electricity was going to be. I feel like I've been screwed. And I asked them to come back and do some painting. I felt that they did not complete the job as professionally as I thought it should be done - like painting under the eaves.

The company had sales reps. in my area in April to promote their Solar Energy. I thought the gentleman did an excellent job explaining all the details. I was very interested and excited about the possible installation of solar panels at my residence. Appointments were set up and inspections of my home were completed. Then I waited, and I waited, and I waited. I never heard back from anyone. July came and I contacted the company thru their website. I received a phone call from another representative of their company and they said that they would follow thru with my sales representative and get back to me. So I waited, and I waited, and I waited. NOTHING.
Finally I called 1 week ago (Aug) and all the young lady said was that it wouldn't be beneficial to my home... So what does THAT mean? Since I have seen several homes in my community with the Solar Panels. All of different sizes. The sun is so hot on my home in the a.m. until 2 pm that my door will physically burn you if you touch to come in. So why isn't it beneficial. Still that was all the young lady could tell me. I am so upset about not being able to get these that I'm going to look into another company (Solar City) to see if they can at least provided me with better service. Good riddance Vivint!!!!

I spoke to a Vivint Solar rep who came to my door. I was somewhat interested until I was notified that someone ran my credit. I went ballistic. I called the rep and was told that they had every right to do so. I never gave them any personal info to do so. I've filed complaints with BBB and whomever else I can to let people know what these folks are about.
