My wife and I were looking for a solar company to install solar on our home. I contacted Sunpower. I made an appointment—I MADE THE APPOINTMENT—for an online meeting, so I know EXACTLY when it was supposed to be—April 26, 3:00pm. Jessica ** at SunPower even sent me a confirmation email and copied it to another SunPower employee (Marilyn **), who sent me multiple reminders. So at 2:45 on April 26 I still had no link to join any online meeting, so I emailed both Jessica and Marilyn asking if there was information I needed to join the scheduled meeting. 3:00pm rolls around with no contact from Jessica ** or Marilyn **.
So at about 3:45 Jessica ** texted me and gave me some ** story about the appointment being tomorrow at 3:30pm, but “graciously” offered 3:00pm as an option if that was better for me. What a lie. She knew very well when the actual appointment was—SHE CONFIRMED IT WITH AN EMAIL—and missed it, then tried to lie her way out of it. I complained to SunPower, and all they had to say was that I was welcome to come back to them for solar anytime. No apology, nothing. Clearly SunPower employs people with no ethics and operates with no ethics. I would recommend you find another solar company—ANY other solar company—that operates with ethics and takes responsibility for their mistakes. We went with Kayo Solar, and they were honest, completely transparent, timely, and fair.

I signed up with Sunpower last May and have had panels installed since July. They got the battery backup working by December but I still don’t have a Permit To Operate from PG&E due to SunPower’s failure to respond in a timely manner to information requests from PG&E. I‘m a licensed contractor in California and in 45 years have never dealt with a worse organization. Nobody takes responsibility. They have been a big mistake.

I've been thinking about doing solar for a while and with the current energy prices, it was a no-brainer especially since my home has a good location. I have sunlight on the east side in the morning and in the west in the afternoon. I did some research online and SunPower was number one. The signup was great. I knew it takes a few months to complete the whole task because I talked to my coworkers who have panels. I knew what to expect. I got the solar panels in January so the first month was not the greatest. It’s in the winter. But my last bill is zero, so I'm just paying the lease.
I love SunPower and I am 100% satisfied with having gone solar. SunPower was perfect. Their agent Rich was great. I talked to him in person. There was also the manager Steve. They were very knowledgeable and professional. I asked them if they can do a bundle, to do the roof first then the panels. They took care of everything. They have good contractors too.

I went solar because I wanted to cut expenses of the household as I approached retirement age. The environmental effect was a bonus of the installation. i appreciate the reduction in power bills. My family decided to go solar to try to reduce our carbon footprint and to save money, as well. Everyone I interacted with at SunPower (sales rep, project manager, installers) were very friendly and knowledgeable. The one thing I did not expect was how long it would take to get all of the permits and necessary approvals (my system was operational 13 months after signing the contract), but I think that had more to do with the village and homeowners association than with SunPower. So far I am very happy with the end result and would definitely recommend SunPower for anyone who is thinking about going solar.

I became interested in solar energy during my high school earth science class. I felt this is good for the environment. I want to save money and like the by back program from my utility company. Sunpower cheating its customers. I had the solar panels installed in August 2022. Prior to signing the sales contract, I was told that my roof was in ok condition. In March this year, the house has some leaks, 2 roofers came to give me estimate & said that my roof needs replacement, they asked "why wasn't it done before installing the solar panels ?" I called Sunpower, it escalated the case to someone & said have to charge me $1460 to remove & re-install. That's irresponsible work! I want to talk to higher up in company & he said he's the highest position in the dept. He argued with me on the phone saying that they're not a roofing company. I understand, but the GOOD roof is the foundation of the solar panels. I shouldn't have to pay for that....

I've always wanted Solar and our new home has wonderful south facing roof. I opted for SunPower because the company has been around long enough to give me confidence they'll be around for a while longer. I was impressed and happy with every step of the process. What was neat is how each step was done by a different sunpower team or employee. And each one was kind, professional, and a good communicator. Nothing seemed to fall through the cracks and all the work went smoothly, start to finish. What folks said would happen did. It was amazingly painless.

I'm happy with the overall service. I recommend SunPower to whoever wants solar. It has been very easy to work with. One of the SunPower reps knocked on my door and asked if I was interested in solar and I was at the time. So, he set me up with an informational call. It was over a Zoom call. They had a presentation. It was a lot of information. Reviewing the product, what they would do. They inspected my house. Based on my electricity bills, they said I would need however many panels and all the financial information.
I generate a lot more power than I use during the winter months and in the summer. The Department of Power here banks it. So, it comes onto my bill as a future credit. In the summer, when we use more, they have this number and they take away whatever I banked first. I'm based in Los Angeles. So, we have air conditioning on a lot. And in the summer, I use more than I generate. But overall, it balances out.

My initial communication with your group was very difficult. We were still in negotiations on purchasing the house and yet people were looking to get credit checks from me. If I knew how difficult it was to try and get information on the solar power, and how it worked? We most likely wouldn’t have purchased the house. I certainly hope the relationship gets better, because it certainly hasn’t started very well.

My bill with Edison was excessively high. I signed up with SunPower and had a very good experience. The salesperson was Kathy and she was very sharp and knowledgeable. She was able to answer all my questions. She was responding to my questions through emails or other ways, promptly. The installation of the system went very well.
I had my panels up four weeks ago. I assume they work. I still receive the bill from Edison. I have an account that I accessed a few times. The production is displayed somewhere there but I do not know how much and I do not know if I have overproduced or not. I would like to understand how much consumption my house has and how much is left, not necessarily at the moment of the day when I would search for it but at least for that particular day, the previous day, the week, and so on. I don't know how to do that. I would like to know if there is any amount going to the grid or if I take some from the grid.
There is only one dissatisfaction I have, which is not a great deal. It's just aesthetics. The first row panels were about 4 inches off. they're not aligned. I went up the roof and I looked. Maybe there was something in the way they forced them to do it that way. But it could have been done easily. I already talked to an engineer and I communicated it to them. Other than that, the panels function perfectly. SunPower did well.

Overall, my experience with Sunpower is terrible. My last conversation with Mark was just fine. Prior to that, I have had to speak with a representative on more occasions than I can count. Most leave me with the impression they have absolutely no clue what they are doing and, again, with the exception of my last conversation with Mark, nothing ever gets resolved. Without a doubt would get rid of Sunpower and seek a far better company if I didn't have to inherit the terrible lease when I bought the home.

Went Solar because it’s the right thing to do for two reasons; help the environment, save money. Looked into several offers from different companies and decided with SunPower. Other than a few miscommunication with scheduling, the project was accomplished as promised. Workers on site were very professional in their equipment and demeanor. Overall satisfied with the project and solar panels are generating power as advertised.

Predictable monthly bill, hopefully saving money, and the environment. I have had numerous companies come or call regarding switching to solar, but kept being told my neighbor's tree created shade. It's only one corner of my roof, and the rest of the south facing roof gets sun all day long.

I had some issues with the system when I first signed up, which were my fault. There was a second set of breakers to activate the system and I didn't look in there. The only other thing that could have been explained to me a little bit better was the way the local electric company deals with power going back to them. It's a weird system. If I use 1,000 kilowatts a month and I generate 800, they should just be charging me for the 200 but that's not how Rocky Mountain Power does it. They charge me for the 1,000 that's used and they give me credit for the 800 I gave them, which is way less than they charge me for the 1,000.
Also, I've had more problems on my app. Initially, I used it a lot but I don't know if something changed. I look at my reports at my home computer occasionally and that's fine for me. And a couple of times, the meter reading gives a huge number, like 7,000. It's very rare, though, and I don't know if it's just some glitch in the algorithm. Other than those, it's been working like a charm and I like SunPower's system. Their system is far superior to anything I looked at and the guy that sold it to me was very knowledgeable.

I picked SunPower because of the brand, and with the experience of the process with them, it was fast. However, they didn't communicate with me very clearly when the time came. It was our first time, so I didn't know what the process was and I needed them to call. When I requested a call, I never got a response right away. Even when I needed somebody to tell me what to do, I had to wait almost three days to get a response. Still, they responded and took care of the other questions I had.
The installers did a professional job. They cracked some of my tiles, but they fixed them right away, so I didn't have an issue with them at all. I've already had the system for two months, and the output of my solar panels is more than what I expected and what the sales person told me. That was a good plus. When it rains, it doesn't produce as much, but it produces enough for the house. So, I'm happy with SunPower and I recommended them. It's a bit pricey but it's worth it.

Enrolling with SunPower was easy, and everything was straightforward and well-communicated. It was a simple process. They reviewed my last 12-month electric usage and determined the appropriate amount of panels I would need based on that. I have 10 panels on my roof, and I use the SunPower app to track production. It did take a while to get panels installed and up and running But I was in no hurry and I know solar is very desirable. I also liked the 30 percent tax credit!

Enrolling with them was good. They were professional. They said they would do certain things at a certain time and they did. The installers did everything neatly and there was no damage done to any other part of the property. My electric bill has been lower and I've been really pleased with that. SunPower matched all my expectations and what I was hoping would be the end product.

I've been dealing with Sunpower since 2021 trying to get them to help me with repairing their equipment that is failing. I am unable to monitor my solar due to the main box on the side of my house that is broken. I've had to pay a solar company to come out to tell me my system is broke. Which I'm award as my PGE has tripled. Sunpower will not help me nor direct me in any way as to what I need to do. This is their equipment that I have paid THOUSANDS of dollars for. Not only am I having to outsource to another solar company, Sunpower will not reply to them in providing the warranty parts.

The SunPower representative emailed me a copy of my original contract so I could provide it to our real-estate agent to show to potential buyers of our house. The representative was able to locate the contract and then email it to me. She was knowledgeable and so helpful! We will go with solar power in the new house we are buying as well!

We cannot comment on the installation of the solar system on our home as we purchased home from my significant other’s Parent’s Estate after their death. I do know they initially had a problem but it was repaired soon after installation. We tried to transfer lease into our names for the real estate closing which was supposed to happen the last week of July 21. It took until August 13 before they could get the lease transferred over into our names. Everyday on the phone, every day got different story from everyone I talked to. Finally got that all taken care of. 32 solar panels seemed to be working good and we were receiving a monthly credit on our APS electric bill.
On October 3, 2022 during a dust storm, we had 3 solar panels damaged. One blew off the roof completely, 2 more shattered but stayed up on the roof unattached. As we were still in Michigan at the time I contacted SunPower after receiving notification from our neighbor that there was damage. They asked if we could send photos so our neighbor climbed up on roof and took pics that we forwarded to SunPower. They initiated a case number and had the installer come out on October 29 to access the damage. Called several times when we got out to Arizona and got no answers of when the panels would be replaced.
Finally in January after many unreturned calls I was told our case was closed. No repairs, no explanations. Someone “would get back to me”, which I had heard all along. No answer, no explanations. Finally asked to talk to Supervisor the beginning to mid week of February, who assured me that he would take care of it for me and keep me in the loop as to the status of the repairs. He opened another case number for this unresolved problem. He assured me he would call me by Friday. Got an email the following week that he didn’t have any information. Now it’s almost 2 months later, he doesn’t return my calls or emails. The installer, Titan Solar, has been working on my behalf, but is getting frustrated as well as he has sent the pictures of the damage several times and they claim that they haven’t received them. As our solar system is not working in 2 zones we are now getting electric bills as well. This company needs better customer service, that’s for sure.

My home usage would go up with my sun production so we would never see export to the grid. Cath was a 10 and we got the problem fix remotely. My only complaint is I sent an email to tech support and they said they would get back to me in two days and they never did so I called the 800 number instead.

Originally our electric was the same as going with solar. Not anymore. We are saving $ by going solar. Good decision on our part as we no longer will receive price increases which we know would happen with electric bill.

Customer Confirmation w/ Sheryl. I decided to go solar for a number of reasons ... sustainability, to save money, to get out from under the thumb of TEP (et al). Leasing, in particular, I found appealing due to my age and the cost per month I can rely on in retirement. I didn't go with 5 stars for the call because the audio quality was lacking. Perhaps a headset was used? Had to close my eyes and concentrate. Hopefully, I didn't miss anything important.

We added 12 more panels to try to eliminate the "true-up". WE were supposed to have it installed in January. It wasn't installed until April. Also, we were supposed to receive a $750 Visa gift card. Never have seen that.

I signed a contract through an energy service aggregator with very few days until the deadline for getting Net Metering 2.0 reimbursement from PG&E. SunPower contacted me immediately, explained their process and said they were aware of the deadline. I received an email from PG&E, on the day of the deadline!, saying my application had been received. Good work, SunPower. The system has not been installed yet but I hope it's equally efficient.

Let me start with The Solar Panels are GREAT! The issue is that my breaker kept tripping and later found out that the installation was not correct, they used the wrong gauge wire and connected a 50 amp system to a 25 amp breaker. I called for the repair and the 3rd party electrical company came out and only told me what was wrong without repairing it. I called Sunpower back and it's now been over a Month waiting for them to schedule a return even though I am dealing with the escalation department, they never call me. I initiate all the calls, and now I have a $225 bill from PG&E since my panels are not working. They are so bad at getting repairs done and not calling back. Again, the panels are Great though.

Reduce our electrical bills. SunPower communications were good. They kept us well informed and worked through several challenges with the required upgrades to the street transformer and our panel box. Not sure if their customer service call center is outsourced to another country but was a bit challenging talking with them.

I had existing Solar Panels that were on a lease but with adding a new EV to our household the existing Solar was not adequate. I did extensive research on multiple manufacturers and companies and decided to go with Sunpower. I have been very pleased with the 8 additional panels I added. It has helped power not only my EV but added enough capacity to keep my electric bill down during the very hot summer months. I have recommended Sunpower to several neighbors and friends that are facing the same challenges as I did. Very happy with my decision to go with Sunpower.

Solar power is more reliable and economical for me. It is a clean energy source. Most economical for us. It increases my property resale value. The stable electricity is available for almost 20 to 30 years and with very little maintenance.

DO NOT USE SUNPOWER. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. All they have is genetic numbers you are on wait for HOURS!! Nobody knows anything. We had our inspection scheduled, they sent 10 reminds and nobody shows up after waiting 1 month. You try to call to know what is going on. You can't reach anyone. When you finally do they tell us, "Oh sorry don't know what happened but we can schedule you in another month out." So now we are on 3 MONTHS waiting for an inspection plus god knows how long for installation. Wish we never signed with them AND THEY ARE EXPENSIVE 30K FOR 14 PANELS.

We decided to finally switch to solar because of the potential savings we will have in the future. Everything went pretty smooth. The step by step process was pretty painless, and all the techs and inspectors were very helpful. After the heavy rains we just had I did notice a leak in the roof right next to where the panels were installed. I have notified Sunpower about the situation and results are pending. Other than that, I am glad we finally did it!

We installed solar panels on the roof tops of our home and guest house to bring down the cost of our outrageous monthly electricity bills! Some of the original panels installed were faulty and had to be replaced!! We knew there was a problem because the NEM bills were higher every month! They had reached a few thousand dollars when realized the system was not working!!! Once again the NEM true up bills are getting higher each month! So far we haven’t saved any money with solar and are very unhappy! We will be telling our friends about this sad experience so they know going solar may not help cut their electricity bills!

The installation, the communication, and the salesperson were excellent. To this day, if I needed something, I'd call the SunPower salesperson first even though she probably wouldn’t be able to help me. Once we signed the papers, the date was set. we had our presentation, we said yes, Sarah had it scheduled, and we had solar panel. I think it was less than a month. That all happened fast. They told us they would be here at 6:00 in the morning. We said, “Are you sure? It's dark at that time.” The morning came and we waited. They didn't show up until 7:00. They said, “I don't know why they told you that. We never start before 7:00.” So, the communication was weird. Other than that, we've been satisfied.
I have called once because I changed internet companies and I had to reconnect. And I needed help. That was fine. The only other thing I had a question on is, on the app, how would I know if there was a specific panel that wasn't functioning correctly? Because my brother has an app for his solar power. And he could see by panel what each one is producing.
We paid ours outright, so we didn't finance. And we got the rebate. It was better than I expected. When solar first came out, it was very expensive. So, it didn't make sense to me. But for the price we got it, it's an easier sale. My bill is half of what it used to be. I averaged 100 a month and I'm at 54. Do it if you can afford it because I've seen it was not hard to adjust.

I was mostly interested in SunPower's modules, solar panels, and monitoring system. I'm having problems with the system at the moment, but I would be able to have those problems addressed. The experience has been mostly good. We've been able to produce more energy than we use, so we got a credit back from the electric company in early March. I would recommend SunPower.

I have been researching solar for several years. I received a random email from SunPower and decided to look into them. They ended up providing the best customer service, the best follow up, the best warranty and best overall quality. The other providers were good, but SunPower with Green Convergence were head and shoulders above the others. They weren’t the cheapest, but all providers I received quotes from were very similar. The whole process was amazing. From initial discussions and presentation, to initial inspection, to installation and close out of the project to get things up and running were top notch!

Enrollment was very easy. Everything was done online. I would get emails and go from there. SunPower then had some technicians go up on my roof, do the measurements and take pictures of what my roof looked like. They had a year's worth of my electric bills too, so my representative was able to figure out how many panels I needed. I have anywhere from 25 to 28 panels, and I look at my electric bills to keep track of how much the panels are producing. I had the SunPower app on my phone as well, but for some reason right now, I'm having a hard time getting logged into it again and I haven't had a chance to reset my password.
I'm very happy. I haven't had to pay an electric bill in a year. I've been saving. I've been paying the little taxes of $20 here and there, but other than that, I've had no issues and I advertise by mouth. I referred a few of my neighbors to SunPower through Renova Solar, and one signed up. The other one has not. She just lost her husband, so it's a costly thing right now that she's not interested in doing. However, she has the business card of my representative for Renova Solar if she ever wants to use it.

My experience when I enrolled was extremely positive. I like the communication, the professionalism, and the work ethics of the crew that came out to the house. The only thing was there's a turn-off switch that is on the street and they said that if there's ever a problem, they could put a box over it. I live at a bus stop and I had a problem. I was not aware of the solar being turned off and I was on vacation for 2.5 months. I lost the power from that. But it wasn't a deal breaker. They came back out and fixed it for no charge.

The price was affordable especially for the quality panels you get. Their installers and maintenance crew are very professional. This is resolved because we decided to no longer work with Sunpower.
We did a month-long research in order to find the best solar provider. Among 7 companies Sunpower seemed to be the best choice and we went with them. Could not be more regret about that decision. Our project manager would take days and weeks to answer any email, he never answered or returned our phone calls. We asked for a change in our project, to include more panels then the original estimate. We received the amendment, we signed it right away and we thought we were good. 2 weeks later our project manager sends an email saying that he won't be able to add more panels to the project and we need to sign a contract amendment. Well, we told him that was done 2 weeks ago, and we sent him the paperwork signed by me and Sunpower representative.
Two weeks pass and we asked about our project, no answer, then we call and the assistant tells us that the project manager will contact us. Then you know, no answer, we decided to add a review on BBB, unfortunately that worked, well in part! Project manager answers an email saying that he does not know when the project will be finished and he has no timeline. When we called couple days later his assistant told us that the redesign might take 3 weeks to be updated. Just for giggles, the first plan took 2 weeks, and now to add 2 more panels the whole thing is going to take 5 weeks?
That was an internal mistake for project manager's part which cost us more than a month, well, the project was not late for us, we decided cancel the project. This is not a serious company or most likely the professionals they assign for their projects. We went with our second option (Powur) and we were just approved by SDGE in the third week of the project (with changes).

So a good portion of my sun power solar panels have been not communicating/producing for three weeks now and I have talked to five different Sunpower customer service people. They keep escalating my complaint up. When I try to call back for follow up to the “Escalation agent,” I’m still not getting any.
Very frustrated still and at this point I do not recommend Sunpower because of their poor customer service and product quality seems problematic.

My SunPower inverter failed in September of 2022 and in October our dealer/installer contacted Sunpower and was told a replacement was not available. We then have contacted Sunpower customer support people repeatedly over the past 5 months to try to get them to send us a replacement inverter. We were told repeatedly that they could not provide us with a replacement inverter of any kind. As the Sunpower inverter that was sold to us was actually manufactured by Sunny Boy and rebranded, we told them that it did not matter who produced the replacement inverter so long as it was a dual MPPT 3.7 kW inverter or better.
I find it impossible to believe that Sunpower has been unable to replace our inverter, which is at the low end in terms of its capacity, for 6 months. Undoubtedly its people decided that as a single homeowner we were the lowest priority for any new inverters coming in to the United States. I finally ordered a Solis inverter on January 17, 2023 from one of their distributors and it shipped out the following day. It was installed by our solar dealer. As of April 5, 2023 the Sunpower escalation person has continued to send me email messages stating that they were doing everything possible to get us a new inverter. Clearly if that were true the company would have closed its doors and shut down its operations months ago. A warranty is worthless if the importer and distributor refuses to honor it as is the case with Sunpower.

I had an issue with my system in September. After not hearing from SunPower I contacted a local solar contractor who talked me through the repair. I was contacted March 30. Truth be told: you have 48 hrs for a satisfactory review not several months. This is extremely poor customer service. So bottom line, shame on you.

Half of my panels are not working and I called in to Sunpower in January. They put a request in for repair Feb 9 and as of today April 2nd, they're telling me they haven't gotten any response from their subcontractors. 2 months? Really? And furthermore since half of my panels aren't producing, I'm on the hook to pay Edison 34 a kilowatt for every one that these panels don't produce. Sun Power is only paying 7 cents for every kilowatt they don't produce. This is a big joke and nothing I can do. They were fine taking my money...

I have purchased Sunpower with my new home. Once activated, I had no idea if it was working as mySunpower website was not properly updated and showed me the dashboard. So I called. The rep with SunPower knew what he was doing. 24 panels is the amount of panels that they sized for our house based off the electricity needs that we have and the location they were gonna be put in. If we put them completely facing south, we could have got away with two less panels. But since we didn't, we added two panels which we were more than happy with. I don't pay PG&E anything. I haven't had a True-Up bill. The system is doing what it's supposed to do. I am happy with SunPower.

I went through EmPower Solar who uses SunPower panels. EmPower did my installation, and the team was excellent. The reps at SunPower were excellent as well. They were easy to get on the phone and they reply to emails. Everything they told me was true, and there was not a lot of back and forth. It was an easy process with them, and everything was great. Going solar is the best thing I ever did. I don't pay any electricity at all.

Keep getting the runaround and no one shows up as promised. Each time we are given a time no one shows up and it takes at least 48 hrs for someone to get back to us. We are just missing our production meter to get our permission to operate. Just this week I was given 4 different dates when J&S would come out and fix the mistake they made. No one showed up or called.

To save money as our electricity bill is over the top. Sun power is a professional company with top notch products and the best workers in the industry. Our solar panels are producing mega kwhs even after 12 years of use. I highly recommend SunPower.

Since installation of Feb '23, I have had to put 3 work tickets in for panel problems. I have gone two weeks (lately) with more than half (over 16) of my panels not working, and the customer support has been terrible. I finally reached out to a technician that I had a contact with, and he was able to give me a future date of a tech to come out and diagnose. I am very frustrated.

We have had solar for 10 years now with a lease. When the system goes down for mechanical failure we have had nothing but run around. Ultimately our performance guarantees are met, but as an example, I just received compensation for 2020, 2021 and 2022. I have to constantly remain on top of this and repeated phone calls to get it resolved. It takes more than 3 months to get the mechanical fixed as well. Now I have a shortage for 2023 as well. I will never recommend this company to anyone.

I installed solar roof recently by SunPower company. After researching for solar companies and a recommendation by our neighbour. I was contacted by Jim **, who made a great presentation, he was honest, knowledgeable and sincere. We agreed to have the solar panels installed by his company after his presentation. Even though we were handled by other employees, he was always involved in our emails, helped in solving problems, delivered 1,000$ discount he promised, and provided another discount on his own for the roof power cleaning required.
Another employee who deserve my praise was Dayanna ** (our project coordinator). She was always updating me, responding to my concerns, assisting in every step. I went with Solar to both offset increasing energy prices/lock in NEM in CA, but also reduce dependency on fossil fuels. I hope we find ways to better retire/reclaim panels past their retirement in the future. Knowledgeable team and smooth experience apart from some minor installation rework.

To save money on Electric use. The telephone rep was great trying to help get the inverter up and running. We couldn’t so a repair slip was made. The process to get it to the tech for repair was too long. They did send someone the following Tues. The company Seabrite Solor in NJ are great. We are up and running again.

The person I spoke to was great. He did as much as he could over the phone. At no fault of his own unfortunately he wasn’t able to help me and I had to go to Reddit to address my issue on my own. Now the app isn’t relaying information to the app and I called customer service again two days ago and that issue still has not been addressed.

I just want to say that Maria from customer service was very helpful. She is so friendly and represents Sunpower so very well. She is a very nice lady and answered all of all questions. We had been considering solar before we moved in, and had asked if it could be a coordinated feature of our original construction. Since we bought and built a home at the peak of the pandemic, the builder had to tell us that it was not possible with their reduced capabilities. After talking to several companies, we looked at reviews and spoke to neighbors. The reviews pointed to SunPower, and we feel very good about our choice to use them. The installation was fast and clean. The installers were considerate of noise and of our pet’s anxieties (do NOT knock on my door again!). We work from home, and they did everything we asked to control noise while working quickly. Overall, a very good experience.

After reviewing bids from 11 solar system contractors we decided on SunPower and happily. No project like this goes perfectly, SunPower has topnotch staff/equipment which 4 bidders so stated. We were concerned about after installation support. A few days ago the app used to monitor the system lost contact. After contacting SunPower they sent out a technician who resolved the issue. We are happy with their service.

The beginning was great. The salesman Greg ** did very good job and was available to us to the end of the whole process. The reason that we did not give 5 stars was that we had some issues with passing general solar system inspection, so we had to wait for main panel upgrade to take place before approval is issued. We were not very happy since the whole process lasted 5 months, but we have to admit that communication with project coordinator Lorena ** was great and the rest went smooth. Hopefully everything is going to work fine from now on without any problems and frustration. Thank you.

We were happy with the installation. The installation guys who put power on the house were great. But after we got the system installed, we got treated like crap. I had my house done by a master electrician a few years ago to amp up my house. I had an air conditioning unit which he amped or me. I paid good money for that. SolarTech come out and put the panels up. A couple of months ago, we got an $800 gas bill. I have an elderly mother who lives with me, and she needs to keep warm, so we went and got space heaters for the house.
What happened was when SolarTech was doing the house, they took out these two things that the master electrician put in. My brother called them. Cassidy, the guy from SunPower who came to our house and sold us everything, was flying that F bomb like you couldn't believe it. When you give service to somebody, you gotta give good customer service after the deal is over. My brother talked to him and sent an email to SolarTech. They were saying that we have to provide the master electrician. The emails were going back and forth. My brother emailed the SolarTech guy then Cassidy called back. He watched his language.
It still hasn't been fixed, so we can only run one space heater in my mom's room so she can keep warm at night. We can't do the space heater and the heater. If we did both, power goes out. This never happened before. We're not happy, and we're going to work on reporting them to the Better Business Bureau. We referred three other people to them, but we told them after this problem to not got with them. I would not ever do business with Cassidy again. I would not allow my friends to do ever business with him.
We interviewed several companies and we thought Renova was the best and that they always work with SunPower. We hired Renova in 2016 to put SunPower panels on our house at that time. We're very pleased we have negative electric bills every year. We just bought another property. A month ago, Renova again installed SunPower panels. Everything went beautifully. I look at the mySunPower app every couple of days and I'm happily surprised to see how many kilowatt hours we have generated. I have already recommended Renova and SunPower to half a dozen friends and four have already installed it.

Enrolling with SunPower was straightforward. I was asked to sign a document and pay, and they would put the roof up. I was very satisfied that I decided to go solar and I've recommended them. They gave me an app for my desktop to track what I’m producing and I can look at my usage on Southern California Edison.

I would like to compliment Ivan for his excellent customer service skills. I was grateful Sunpower did the right thing and gave me a refund for the months my solar was not connected. Justin was also polite and helpful even though the process took a while.

SunPower impressed us the most, particularly because we thought the resilience of the solar panels were superior to the other products that we had seen. But it was a difficult time for us because they were planning on installing it at a time right before we went on vacation. So, they completed the work as much time as they had and weren't able to finish it because it takes a while to connect to the network and so on. We went away for two months. And when we came back, they finished it up and everything was fine.
They sized our system right. We had a battery installed and the regulations on batteries in Massachusetts changed at the time after we bought the battery. They adapted everything fine and we were able to configure our setup to match the state requirements. We have a bit of excess, so were were able to buy an electric vehicle. And we still have enough power to charge our system, and our car. We're delighted. SunPower was very reliable and worthwhile investigating.
