    Past 2~3 years there was no problem. Engineer and technical support are good enough. But recently they seems to have big problem in AutoPay system. They changed my account number without notice. (Enough balance in my bank account) and they said I did not register for AutoPay and charged me late fee. (Because they changed my account number, this new account is not registered for AutoPay). I called Customer Service and they did not try to understand what the problem is. I think they are going out of business sooner or later.

    To save money and also help the environment. The installation crews were all very good and polite and never made any messes. In regards to the subject mentioned above I left several phone messages but never heard back from them. Otherwise everyone has been extremely helpful.

    Wanted to do something concrete for the environment. An overall reduction in utility bills certainly was a draw but payback was at least 13/14 years, so it wasn't the primary motivation. We researched and interviewed at least 5 different companies but decided to go with Southcoast Solar, the representative was very well spoken, knowledgeable and came highly recommended by our financial consultant who had recently installed solar through the company as well. We are pleased with the experience.

    The experience with SunPower was a pleasure from start to finish. I was very impressed with the approach of the people I talked to. It was a very favorable experience and I'm a happy customer. They’re undergoing an update of their software at the moment, so I can’t see what’s going on with my system reliably. There are very strange numbers that are showing up. But I assume they'll all get straightened out when they finish the upgrade.

    We went solar to save on our electric bill for sure but we also wanted to do what we could to help the environment. We have been solar for 11 mos without any issues. We are very happy with our decision to go solar with SunPower.

    1, The installed capacity is 6.8KW, however, it has never reached 6KW yet. (5.2KW was the maximum reached.)

    2, The scheduled maintenance from 6/29 to 7/30 is definitely too long and I can't monitor my solar system since 6/29.

    We wanted to use more Green energy and to reduce our PG&E costs. After interviewing several companies, Ambrose Solar, with SunPower panels was the best choice for us. The panels were installed in a day and after receiving our go live from PG&E we are making our own electricity. Everything works fine.

    We wanted to have solar for some time, mainly to save on our increasingly expensive electric bills.     After a winter where some people lost power for 5 days sparked my interest in never being without power. This summer is a doozy and I am so glad I now have 27 panels on my roof and two back-up batteries. I love watching the app when I am selling power back to the grid. I have a sense of freedom over the power company. Thanks Sunpower!

    First, I am not a Green Person. However, I have a daughter with health issues and she needs her Cpap machine. To provide continuous power to our home, there was no other option except Solar and batteries. Installation was ok but, took longer than expected. Since then, we have added an extra battery and now have 2 Powerwalls. In short, no issues, no problems, and almost no light bills. Now that the credits don’t carry over, I expect low light bills and insulation from increased energy costs. Just a note, for us the 2 Powerwalls we will have to watch our power usage in June, July, August, January, and February to run the Cpaps and Air Conditioner all night.

    As a first time home owner, I looked into solar to save on electricity cost. I did a good amount of research, met with other companies and ended up with SunPower panels. Though not the cheapest, but their industry leading warranty lets me keep peace of mind, and industry leading efficiency lets me know I have the best product. I’ve convinced others to go with SunPower too. Their App is also simple to use and great. I love seeing metrics and data of production and cost savings. Highly recommended!

    I decided to go solar for two main reasons; green energy and a backup battery as my area experiences frequent brownouts and blackouts. I chose SunPower, even though it was more expensive, because of high ratings and the fact that all components are SunPower's, therefore SunPower's responsibility if things go wrong. Also, their roof installation is a superior process, flush to my roof and no chance of roof leaks. Working with SunPower was a dream. Once I signed, they handled EVERYTHING and maintained excellent communication. Once the system was activated, there have been a few issues that needed attention. A quick call to the installing company or SunPower customer service resolved any problems quickly and seamlessly, usually remotely. The app is also great, and very user friendly. I highly recommend SunPower.

    We went solar to protect the climate, ensure power during unexpected short outages, restore power after hurricanes, save money on our monthly bill. It is the right thing to do! The system install was great. The year long wait for the Tesla storage battery was very frustrating.

    I went solar for the environmental factor, and also trying to save me some money with all this inflation situation going on. I'm very happy with my solar. It took 4-5 months to get it going but at the end I'm very happy.

    We were happy with Sunpower until we had to expand our system and add more panels. Ever since then it has been a nightmare. They have given inaccurate information over and over, do not reply to emails, give us the runaround. It has directly affected our TREC payments and entering information for state reimbursement.

    My solar panel system is 4 years old, $25,000. It stopped working on June 7. I have called repeatedly to get a service technician to my home to no avail. I received an e-mail today saying they will charge me $300 to schedule a technician to come out and diagnose what is wrong. They claim the part that may have to be replace is not covered by my 25 year warranty but they don't say what that part is and why it is not covered. SunPower is much more expensive than all the other solar companies but they are not worth it. Their customer service is a joke.

    We contacted SunPower and the enrollment process went well. The only issue that we had was whoever was contracted to do the electricity panel did a poor job. The panel wouldn't shut so I had to make a complaint with the company. It took a while but it got resolved. Somebody came out and fixed it. I'm using the SunPower app and it’s decent. It could certainly use some improvements but as a bare bones tool, it's good. Overall, the experience has been positive.

    The sales rep was informative and got back to us as quickly as possible. The installers ended up breaking a couple of our blinds but other than that, everything else went well. It's only been about a month but SunPower’s service has been good.

    The experience with SunPower was completely seamless. They scheduled the appointment fairly quickly. The reps were on time and did everything right. They handled all the permitting and stuff to PG&E to get the approvals, and it was painless. I thought about purchasing solar panels a lot of times over the last few years, but for some reason, I never pulled the trigger. I should have done it a few years ago. People should not wait.

    My installer, who's one of SunPower’s certified installers, handled all of the paperwork. It was great because I didn't do anything. I'm 1,000% positive about going solar. It has been fantastic. It worked from day one. You plug them in and they work. So, I have no issues. I'm off the grid now, because I also got batteries. SunPower is doing exactly what they’re supposed to do.

    The installation was excellent. It was very quick and easy. The reps were punctual and were all done in a day. But I have not received my monitoring system yet. It was on backorder and that was a month ago. So that's a little frustrating. Still, I’ve been saving money since going solar. People should get it and I've already told 100 people about it. I’m extremely satisfied. I wouldn't do it any other way.

    SunPower by Precis installed my solar system in December of 2021. I intentionally delayed writing this review until I had the opportunity to truly experience its performance. We now have 6+ months of system performance—and the performance is OUTSTANDING! So far, I have enjoyed three monthly utility billings that were actually $0. Projections are that I can run my A/C 24-hrs/day during the summer with a cost that is only one-third of what I was paying before solar.

    SunPower panels were favorably rated, have exceeded the expected (& guaranteed) output of power, and were carefully & professionally installed by Precis personnel. I was particularly impressed with the willingness of everyone, at Precis, to understand and fully answer any and all questions that arose during the selection and installation process. My panel arrays sit at a minimal height above the roof with most conduiting within the attic space—which minimizes unsightly conduit across peaks and roof surfaces.

    I am very satisfied with going solar. I have a few issues, but I'm sure they'll be resolved. I had an issue with trying to log on to SunPower’s website. It allowed me to log on once, then I could never get on it again. It just asked me the same questions and goes around a loop. But I haven't tried for a while. Also, the app doesn't work particularly well at the moment. It doesn't give the right information and it hasn't done for a while now. What the app is telling me is just what I'm downloading solar. It’s not telling me what I'm using and what's being pushed back to the grid and what portion of the grid I’m using. But SunPower said they’re updating it and when I emailed them to query it, I was told they will get back to me within 36 to 72 hours but they haven't gotten back to me yet.

    Enrolling with SunPower was seamless as well as when the installation was done. I had a few questions since I started the service with them, one of which has not been resolved. But other than that, it has been fine. I’ve referred them to four other people.

    System installed 2016; Operational Feb 2017. All Inverters were replaced in May 2017. On June 8, 2022 all monitoring communication from PSV5 unit ceased. Called SunPower. They stated 3g quit working because discontinued signal. Tried to Login to the New Application to update Wifi Information. It would not allow me to do so. I was told by SunPower that it was not possible for me to update my WIFI information and they have no solution at this time. I was told, "They are working on it".

    We have a system that is 5 years old and CANNOT MONITOR IT WITH THE NOW DEFECTIVE PSV5 MONITOR. The equipment has a 10 year warranty; as I understand. Why not Replace equipment with correct model so I can use my system as outlined in my purchase agreement? Some help please. Purchasing this expensive system was a huge mistake. Full of headaches.

    SunPower is made in the USA, and it's very close. If we have any issues, their headquarters is an hour and a half down the road. Also, people were very informative. The rep made it easy to understand and gave us a lot of good data to research. He was very good. We watched them put up our solar panels and they kept us up to date all the time about what they would do. It was a good experience. Our electric bill was $52 last month. Even with the financing and the $52, it was still way cheaper than what we had been paying.

    Everything went smoothly with SunPower. Professional people took care of me, answered my questions and gave me some advices. I was impressed with the knowledge of the person in Austin who helped me. He gave me support in the few times that I had to contact him. The only thing is, SunPower’s rep didn’t mention that I had to clean the panels once in a while. I didn't know until later. I haven’t done that yet but I need to contact a company that is doing that. It has to be professional. You can't do it yourself.

    Signed up for Sunpower last year because my friend said he had a good experience with them. I had just bought my first home and was very excited to join the solar community. I reached out to a referred rep and got an appointment for an estimate. I looked at the cost for an 8kw system and it said $37,000. That’s about $4.55 a kw. The rep assured me I was getting a fantastic deal and I would get a detailed breakdown of the costs later and it would make sense. I signed a tablet and that’s was it. Apparently, this one page proposal was the entire contract.

    Well, I never received that “detailed breakdown” and the rep stopped responding. I have found out that the average cost for my same Sunpower setup is 28-29k, about 3.30-3.60 a watt. I paid 4.55. In other words, the rep price gouged me over 8k. Unbelievably deceitful and just completely took advantage of me. I feel horrible about the situation and considering exploring legal options. Do not go to Sunpower if you want a fair, decent sales petiole.

    The installation took way longer than it should have, but with the caveat that it was the first time they had done the job in the county that I'm at. They ran into some problems with permits. We had to work on some easement issues because I have an irrigation district pipeline that runs through my property. So we had to get some easement stuff done. The installation took about seven months, which they told me it would be three months at the most. I gave them a little bit of grace on that because of the new county thing. There were some things that could have been done better though. But they were responsive and very professional. The couple of issues that I had got settled and the communication was good. The installation was great. They did good work. I love solar. I'm crushing it making power. I pay 200 bucks a month less than I did for PG&E.

    Mainly to save ourselves from the pitifully run ERCOTT blackouts and improve the environment. I was very happy with Sunpower service; the only issue was how long (too long) it took to get permits and for us to be able to sell back to the grid.

    In the fall of 2021, I contacted Sunpower to obtain a consultation to possibly add solar panels to our home. In short order, I was contacted to schedule a Zoom consultation. The salesperson appeared knowledgeable and willing to help me find a solution that worked for me. He designed a solar array that would generate about 90% of our annual energy usage, explained payment options, and helped me understand the federal tax benefit. I confirmed the benefit with our accountant and signed the agreement shortly thereafter. Installation was painless. We had a one or two-day delay due to weather, but otherwise, the installation went smoothly. We have gone through 4-5 months of energy bills since installation, and we're seeing the projected benefits. I chose Sunpower based on its history in the industry and public reviews. I would recommend them if you are considering solar power.

    I like the quality of their product. Their solar panels were above par compared to the others. They put together the packet that went to our HOA to get all the approvals. They also took care of the packet that went to the local government to get the permits. So I just was on the sidelines and was in the loop, but they did everything from start to finish. I was very pleased with the timing. I had it from the time that we signed the deal, which was the end of December to where it was fully installed and on the roof by February. We flipped the switch by the end of February. So it went very fast. Sunrun put together kind of a forecast what my electric footprint would be and what my cost would be based on the amount of electricity that we consumed, and they were very accurate.

    We had been thinking about adding solar to our home for a number of years, but thought it would be difficult given the age and condition of our house. SunPower handled the design and permitting process for us and the installation went seamlessly. The installation was about one year ago, and we are completely happy with the results. We are saving money on our utility bill and are very glad to be using renewable energy. We only wish we had decided to do it earlier.

    The installation of our SunPower was very quick. I told them that I was leaving on the 24th of December and I didn't know when I would be back. I told them that, "If you're gonna do it, you got to do it while I'm home." On a Saturday, there were six guys out here and they installed it and it was done. Financing it was 18,000. But if I paid cash, it was 15,000 and they gave me a $1,000 debit card. It only cost me $14,000. I'm totally satisfied. I haven't paid any electric bills in six months now. I'd recommend it to anybody. They did well. The panels are up there working. I also have an app on my phone and I can see how much power I'm putting out. I'm very happy and proud of what SunPower did.

    I got really tired of high electric bills. I now know and feel that the heavy weight has now been lifted off my shoulders. I pay one flat fee of $97 per month for my solar rental for 25 years and the electric bill taxes which have so far ranged between $5 - $7 per month. My solar panels produce more than enough kilowatt hours and have some left over. Every yearly (1 so far) anniversary I have received credit for my extra 3200 kwh that I had left over. They are the nicest and most fair company I have ever dealt with. The first one I picked I had to drop them because they kept reducing the amount of panels on my roof and the rental bill would go up 2.69% every year for 25 years!

    I conserve use of electricity, so I wasn't interested in solar panels for cost savings; rather, to further efforts to save the planet. SunPower folks were professional and helpful. It did take several months between when I signed the contract and when the panels were installed—but their business is brisk, so that's ok. I recommend them whenever I hear someone's interested in solar.

    The enrollment process with SunPower was very good from start to finish. It was very efficient. I’m extremely satisfied with the decision to go solar. It's been fantastic.     The SunPower reps answered all my questions and the experience was good. This was during the pandemic so we had a Zoom meeting and it went fine. I'm satisfied with going solar. If I had known earlier a few things, I would have tried to get an inverter installed as well as a battery. But I didn't ask the right questions regarding that. As far as the solar power unit, it decreased my electricity bill. I just want a little bit more information on the inverters, trying to draw power from the solar panel straight into the home rather than having it get sent to the electrical company. Basically, trying to be a little bit more off-grid.

    Enrolling with SunPower was very easy to do and professional. It was online during COVID. Also, they had a great installation team. I had an issue with SunPower’s app not displaying the energy properly but they stayed on top of it and got it fixed. So, everything's great. I've referred several people because they were so easy to work with. Since switching over to solar, there has been a decrease in my electric bill, which is a good thing.

    I've had Sunpower panels for 5 years. The panels are great, but the service is terrible. I recently bought new panels because I bought a EV. They put a new monitor when they installed the new panels in March. It has never worked properly, yet the latest "escalated" response is that they will try to get it fixed by mid June! They have been trying to "code" it since April. I can't get through to the actual person who is assigned to work on my case. Beware of this company because if anything goes wrong, you will spend hours on the phones and months waiting for a resolution.

    Enrolling with SunPower was very simple. Going solar was an exceptional decision. I have no electric bill anymore. When the install technicians were here, they were very informative. They told me what they were gonna do. They explained how everything worked. They came when they said they were coming, and they left on time. As far as I can tell, their work quality was very good. They kept me in pretty good communication when they had changes in schedule. There was a matter of availability of panels, and they kept me on top of that. And as far as the SunPower product, I went with the SunPower product because I did a lot of research on the panels and the overall product, and the quality of the unit. I thought that the household panels were the best with SunPower. They had the highest quality of performance.

    SunPower did the best job of selling solar energy systems. The install was pretty cool. They did a good job. We like having solar power. Our bill was going to be 282. We were on level pay and it was gonna be 282 this year and now, it's only the lease payment. So, it's worked out to our advantage so far.

    SunPower was made here in America and they had the best panels. It didn't really matter to me where they were made, it's just the quality mattered, and they were the best quality. I loved having gone solar, but ever since I've done it, my electricity consumption went up because I bought an electric vehicle. I need a bigger system now, but that's of my own choosing.

    We liked the warranty on the solar units with SunPower and the guaranteed power after 15 years. Most of our experience wasn't with SunPower but it was with the local installer. They were a little rocky. The communication was very slow and poor. The installation went fine once we were able to get to that point, though. The only issue I have is the array is not large enough. I don't have enough solar energy to cover my house. In the summer, we're getting what the array says is supposed to give us, which is what they told us, but it's not enough to cover our needs. Then, solar generation is really poor in the winter. The app that SunPower uses is pretty crappy. It's never worked right and it pushes you over to the website. Still from a solar power perspective, I'm pretty happy.

    I was looking for solar panels online. SunPower was able to respond to my questions and was also available with my utility. They were available when I tried to call and had a solution that fit my needs. The only thing that was not clear from the beginning, was that if the grid’s down, the solar panels are down, unless you have some backup solution in place.

    I love SunPower and Freedom Solar. I like their warranty and that repairs were handled by them and the manufacturer directly, whereas the other ones were never quite clear where the warranty service would come from. I've also noticed savings in the electric bill since using them. The bill was $14 a month.

    I talked to SunPower about 10 years ago because we've been looking at solar on and off for the last 15 years. The program never made any sense for us until this last time with SunPower. The pricing and the savings made sense and that's why we went with them. Part of the reason was also because they had good reviews. They've been around a long time too.

    The installation of the panels was fantastic and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Everybody was professional and the process was fast. They also cleaned up after themselves. I'm now spending less per month with SunPower than I was spending on my electric bill. It turned out to be financially worth it so far. I've only had it for three months and I've probably saved 100 bucks over what I would have spent on electricity.

    The solar costs were financed and a very competitive rate. The solar loan is lower than our annual electric bill. Our highest bill after solar was the month we turned on our panels, $9.00. We have been getting negative electric bills for 7 months.

    SunPower was top-rated when it comes to solar panels and they kept on beating everybody else. I'm 100% satisfied going the solar route. My bill is zero, the panels look great, and the service is great. There's an app that they set me up with and I go on the app and check out the energy I'm producing. Customer service was very professional and they kept me up-to-date and informed of when the next step of permits are being submitted as well as the supplies being ordered. I am happy with my experience.

    I averaged my rating! 5 for product, 0 for support. I like the way the system is set up. Multiple inverters so you don't have a single point failure. Great warranty. Authorized installers are very competent. One company/manufacturer to deal with (more on this later.) For the first 9 months the system didn't work, but you pay for the system from day 1. Call SunPower they say installer problem. Installer checks system. Calls SunPower who reprograms the system and says wait a week. This reoccurred again and again for 8 months without improvement.

    I went to the installer's office and made them call SunPower and work out a solution for why my system wasn't working. Within a month SunPower did another reprogramming which finally worked (Note: Caution below). I asked SunPower to reimburse me for the PG&E electric service I had to purchase during the 9 months during which I was also paying SunPower for solar power. I got bounced from one customer service agent to another to another, etc. After 6 months they offered me one-fifth of the expenses I had incurred.

    The contract has an Arbitration Clause. I have filed to arbitrate, and they refuse to arbitrate or even acknowledge that the claim has been filed. In short there is no customer service and no arbitration. I'm stuck! Caution: They can program your system in or out of existence - SunPower has total control throughout your system's life. This reminds me so much of the Great Benefits Company in John Grisham's novel The Rainmaker.

    I got an email giving an incentive through AAA to get a discount on SunPower. The first steps with them were great. I had a salesperson who helped to price out how much it would cost and how much we would save. This person helped make the process of owning solar panels something that was feasible financially. It’s already saving us money because we took out a loan in order to get the solar panels. Now that it's getting to be summer, our monthly payments are less than they were last year. SunPower was able to estimate that from the beginning, which made the decision to go through with it relatively easy.

    There were a couple of hiccups but nothing major and this was dealt with. This had to do with the permitting and setting up most of the stuff on the back end so that I didn't have to be involved in the minutiae of getting all of the things with the utility and the local government. I found that that was really helpful. Now that it's done, it's such a no-brainer to get solar panels because it is thought of as an environmental thing. Also if you have the right roof and the right setup, it saves money.

    When we first got solar, our bill was $11 and something a month. Even though we're still trying to conserve power and not be crazy, it was nice to know that we knew we had a monthly bill consistent so we could help with budgeting and financing. The government's penalizing people who own solar though. So, we've seen our monthly bill go from $11 to $38 just because we don't use enough energy from the grid. SunPower's app is pretty easy to use. I don't use it very often because it pretty much does what it's supposed to do. You just check and it'll tell you how many kilowatt hours you're producing, consuming, and if you're using the grid or not, and then you could check for the month. You can check for the year, too.

    I had a great experience with SunPower from beginning to end. I had a good guy come out and explained everything to me. He was really good and laid everything out very clearly. The installation went very smoothly and my system is running perfectly. I haven’t gotten a bill since then, but I've been noticing they have an app that lets me track my usage. I've been exporting a lot of power to the grid. So, I'm excited about my first bill.

    I like SunPower. If I can just fully understand it. My son and I, we're having problems understanding it. The seller did an outstanding job. I've had my panels for two months and I have noticed my electric bill has been somewhat less. But we haven't fully understood what we received. I have $500 in there and we haven't figured out how to convert it to our checking account.

    Please do your research before hiring Sunpower to install panels on your roof. There is very little communication. The process started in December and we are in May and they just got them working. I’ve taken off of work 3 times for them to not show. They charged me for 2 months of having the panels even though they were not turned on. Nobody responds, even the escalation team. There is plenty of competition out there, do not use this company!!!

    Enrolling with SunPower was very good and I didn’t have to do anything once it started. It was the same thing with the installation. They just told me that they were gonna come on this day to install and how long it was gonna take. I asked if I had to do anything and they said no. I've been satisfied with going solar up to this point. SunPower did a good job. It’s not always necessary how much it costs for the installation. People have to consider the service they provide afterwards a lot more.

    Eugene, the rep, was very informative and straightforward. The installation was great though it took a while because of being a townhome. So, we have an HOA that has to open up the main meter. It's different than a house where everything is in your own personal stuff. So, SunPower had to make an appointment for that. And every time they needed the inspector to come, they would have to make an appointment with HOA to open the meter box again. It was a little more challenging. The panels were installed in early January and then, it was there for a month. The planets aligned in February and the thing got going. I just paid $20 for my gas bill the other day. So, it was better than 280 that I was paying every month.

    I had solar at a prior home and the home that I bought was a new construction with Shea Homes. I purchased a 5-kilowatt system with the home and it was a SunPower system. When I moved in, it was all hooked up and I found out based on some improvements that I had made, that the 5 kilowatts weren’t covering all my energy needs. So, I added another 4 kilowatts. And because I wanted to make sure that the system was compatible, I only worked with solar contractors that used the SunPower product. The sales rep was great, very knowledgeable and respectful of our time. His presentation made the decision easy and SunPower’s price was competitive. The financing that they offered through a local credit union helped us make the decision to move forward with the expense.

    The installers, Mulholland Electric, were good. They came out, got on it and finished it quickly. There was one little hiccup though. And I'm not sure whether it was theirs or on SunPower’s end. I made it clear when I signed the contract that when I get the reporting data through the SunPower app, I didn't want to have to monitor a 5-kilowatt system and the new 4-kilowatt system. I wanted the data to be reported as if it was one 9-kilowatt system. They had to install a second inverter so there was a little bit of complication with trying to get the two systems to report as one. And it seemed as though that went back to SunPower corporate. It took a little bit more effort on my part to make that happen than I would have liked but it finally got worked out.

    I'm not a big fan of the SunPower app. It's not very user-friendly in terms of graphing and the way that it graphically presents the information. I can figure it out but it's not as simple as it should be. I had a prior SunPower app with the first system, which was easier and better to interact with than the current one. But I'm also not somebody who sits there and logs into my app every day. I have friends that show their solar generating capabilities on their phones as if it's their grandkid’s pictures. Instead of working, just watching the kilowatts app. I don't do that. So, it's not a big issue.

    Once we found out about SunPower being behind RENOVA, we researched it and found how long they've been in business, and then all the parts they use for a system were SunPower, and we liked that, which was also why we went with RENOVA and SunPower. Everything was wonderful. It was fabulous the whole way through. SunPower was right on it and they were in touch. The worst part was waiting. Once we got approved, RENOVA was backed up because so many people are going solar. So, we had to wait four months for it to be installed. But once they put it in, they only took less than a week to install. I have the app on my phone and we can check to see how much solar power we're generating. I feel pleased to get it because Edison is going up and up and this is a good move for us.

    I have called about the loan and then, I called about the final paperwork. And whenever I've had to call SunPower, they were super nice people. They were very courteous, helpful, answered everything and got it straightened out right away. The other day, our internet provider changed our router so we had to change the Wi-Fi code and had a little trouble with that. I called SunPower and the guy walked us right through it and then, he told us he would monitor all weekend just to make sure that it stayed going, and it did. Our salesman was the same way because I could still call him if I have issues. SunPower is a great company and I'm happy with them. I love them. I recommended my neighbor and she's going with them now, too.

    James, my salesman, was great. If I had any questions, he was right there to answer them for me. The installation went smooth and fast. They had all the panels up within a day. In one way, the SunPower system is good because in the summertime, I end up with credits every month. The only thing that I didn't care for and still don't like is that when my year came up with the electric company, the electric company tried to change the terms on me if I had overages. Everyone I went to after the first-year contract was up does the same thing. They change it up to where if you are overproducing, they're not going to reimburse you.

    For instance, last July, I had produced 2,300 kilowatt hours. I only used 800 so I had 1,500 overage. With the new plan that they tried to get me to go with, they would reimburse me up to my usage. So, if I produce 2,300 again this July and only use 800, they’ll reimburse me for 800 of it then still use the other 1,500 for free. That’s crazy. Why would anybody do that? I got 43 panels for a reason. I felt as if that could have been explained to me before I decided to do 20-year investment for $50,000. These energy companies are gonna make it to where I’m gonna end up paying a light bill in the wintertime and pay for the panels. That's not what I'm supposed to be doing. I'm supposed to be building up everything in the summertime so I don't have any kind of bill in the winter. That was the ultimate idea.

    The way they explained it to me was that I'd get 100%. The first company that they sent me to charge 14.9 cents then they reimburse me 14.9 cents per kilowatt hour. The best I could find out there is they’ll charge me 14.9, and pay me 9.4 up to a limit. But I still have to keep on paying. I wouldn’t have done the panels if I'd had known that.

    I've been very satisfied. Going solar has given me a credit on my Edison bill for the last year. Their team was also very professional. I had one issue regarding the programming of the panel and it was resolved over the course of a couple of weeks.

    After I interviewed close to 10 different companies, I both liked the people from SunPower who came to present their product, and I liked the product. I also liked SunPower's history of length in business, and their reviews online. They provided me with direct phone numbers of the installer, their cell phone numbers, if I have a problem. And the communication has been great. Also, the installation was efficient. The installer was knowledgeable. And not only did he instruct me as to who would put things up, they did everything completely and neatly. I'm already seeing a tremendous reduction in my bill. SunPower is a quality company that stands behind their product.

    Through the process, SunPower was pretty good at communicating. Once everything was done, they were able to explain how it works. The installers had a little mishap, but they were able to fix it. They broke a few shingles and some of our pool equipment, but in the end, they were able to replace and fix it. SunPower is reliable. They have good communication and overall good customer service.

    The SunPower representative was very detailed and he made sure that I understood it. Every step, he answered all my questions and he walked me through the whole process -- how it works and what to expect. Also, he did the whole breakdown and he had his whole spreadsheet with all different PowerPoints to explain the details. I was so happy to know that he was my rep and I've recommended customers to him. Then, my installation was before the holiday and it was quick. They said it would be three days but it was done in a day. That was amazing. Then, after installation and inspection from our building department, I saw a difference in my bill right away. It took effect the next billing cycle and my bill was $20. It was easy and fast and I'm a very happy customer.

    The rep from SunPower was very informative, personable, polite and honest. The installation was quick though I wish I would have got battery backup at the same time. If I had one, I probably would be using my battery system at night and solar during the day. Still, I have no power bill. It’s just the service charge. So, it’s good.

    SunPower presented me with a good timeline, a reasonable cost, and a top quality product. The rep was great. He would admit if he didn't know, and would get back to me within 24 hours. Also, I liked the installation crew. They were quick and clean. The staff that they had working on the electric panel was hilarious. He was from New York, and I liked Peter’s work because I'm here in San Antonio and I said, “It’s really beautiful.” He said, “We like to call it sexy.” His wiring was a work of art. The coils were perfect. You open up the box and you go, “Wow!” It was stunning. He was training someone else. New York expletives for a job well done.

    It started to create power in January. My electric bill is pushed over to a net provider. So, I had a switch company. That has helped tremendously. And what's fascinating is that there's no disruption of service whether I'm going to the solar panels or getting energy from the grid. It's seamless. It's everything I hoped it would be. The timeline, in a perfect world, would have been faster, but everybody was trying to get in on it. It was at the end of the year, so I totally get it. They did a good job. I have recommended them to other people.

    SunPower was the one who gave me a competitive rate with a unified warranty. So, I liked the way the deal was packaged. SunPower as a company and the local installers here, SAVKAT, have done a very good job in keeping up with the requirements and answering some of the questions that I had during the course of the process. They took care of everything right from the initial evaluation, project documents, and from permitting. The installation took one day and it was perfectly done. I've been offloading to the grid as much as possible. So, it has been a good transition so far.

    The experience has been good, so far. I like the obvious savings in payments and being off the grid in some sense. The money is saved because I'm off grid and I have an EV that I use to charge with SunPower. That makes me more comfortable as well for charging my car.

    The installers came, put the system in, it worked, and they were done. It was very simple. We've had one complete billing cycle since they installed the system and we got a $130 credit on our power bill instead of a $130 bill this last month.

    We had 17 Solar Panels and a Tesla PowerWall2. We still had big electric bills and that makes no sense here on Maui where our energy comes from oil. So to improve our home, community and overall environment, we contacted Rising Sun, LLC for a quote to add enough solar panels and an additional PowerWall to reduce our impact as completely as possible. Result we added and additional 16 Sunpower 360 Solar panels, Solar Edge Inverter (to load share with the total 33 panels) and an additional Tesla PowerWall2. I'm sure, we have the right-sized system now for our energy needs. Thanks to a great team at Rising Sun.

    I have existing Mitsubishi Panels but after talking to Julian from RevoluSun decided to get SunPower Panels to supplement electrical output. They seem to functioning great! The output is better than the Mitsubishi Panels. So far very pleased! Also upgraded my microinverters

    We went solar to save money and to protect the environment -- at least I HOPE it will. We originally installed 22 panels and were doing fine until COVID when my daughter and her baby moved in. Our NEM went up, so we just added 8 more panels and should break even. The installers and SunPower administrators were easy to work with and showed up for work when they said they would.

    We decided to go solar when the price finally came down to what I felt was reasonable (had a quote about 10 years ago) and when our PG&E bills kept going up.

    The salesperson was very knowledgeable, helpful and no pressure. The installation was flawless except for having to wait due to backlog of customer installs. The app is great for monitoring. I didn't like the credit company SunPower recommended and would not use them again. The solar credits on my taxes worked great.

    After doing the research, we really believed in the product itself. It seemed to be the better deal. It wasn't the cheapest, but it wasn't so far off that it wasn't good. Mike was really great about answering questions. I love Mike, but after the sale, the level of customer service kind of degraded a little bit. They did a decent installation job. But I would have liked a little more time for them to talk through with us what we're doing, how it's managed, and what do we do when we call and it's broken. Other than that, I'm okay because I've got numbers and contacts that will be able to help if we need it. We've received some energy from the solar panels, so that reduces my bill overall. But to be comparable to what we were paying, it's got to reduce it a little more than it is right now.

    I thought there would be a little more help with setting up the billing. SunPower did end up giving us some recommendations, and we ended up going with Rhythm on that. SunPower could also be a little more proactive with getting us the information for our taxes, considering that we're new to solar. It's not SunPower's responsibility for what's happening with the service providers, as far as the energy companies, but there should be part of the process. SunPower could develop a way to better educate their customers for after the panels are up. They need to give their customers information about what are the things they want to look for to benefit it. They could do a general glossary of terms in explaining the terms.

    SunPower is all inclusive and that made a big difference to me. It's not piecemealed. You don't have to contact somebody else if there's a problem with the installment, etc. It's not as cost-effective yet as I have expected though. Also, I can go online and check the activity but every time I try to get into that system, and I've contacted them about that, it won't let me do it. I don't have access to the monitoring part of it. But for the most part, it's fine.

    When I called the SunPower and was interested to know where the cost would fall in the range compared to the other products that I evaluated, they came out competitive which was surprising. In fact, it was quite a bit cheaper than the previous bid I had gotten partly because the efficiencies are so high and the quality that the other product quoted would require more panels, which increased the cost.

    The sales rep was fantastic. He talked to me about all the details that I needed to know. I really appreciated that he was honest and not salesy, like in a used car salesman kind of way, but more, "It's a great product. Let me tell you about it. Here's what you expect. Here's why it's a good product." For the price, it's a great product. They also worked with me through the rebates and the incentives they provided. They pointed me to the forms that I needed for the taxes. They really worked hard.

    There were two things that we were working through. One of them was trying to get the installation done in the previous calendar year so I could apply for the rebates this year. Otherwise, if I had done the installation in January, I'd have to carry more of the debt to finance the cost of the install until the following year. They did the installation in a timely manner. They were able to pull it in and worked a little bit extra because it was right after the holidays. They tried to do mine and several others to try to get it in before the calendar year was over.

    The other thing that we were working through was the cost. It didn't change. There wasn't any negotiation to coming down on cost. They were very honest that we tried to set things at a low cost. But it was the financing of it because it requires out-of-pocket expense. Very few people, myself included, have that sort of cash just lying around. But the sales rep was very good to help me understand what it meant if you were to finance through the solar power company or through someone else or if you were to put it on a credit card, to help me work through what would be the right option and the least costly for me and offering suggestions for me to consider rather than pushing me into a product, where I finance through them and they get the high profits off of the interests. I was able to come up with a financing solution that worked well for my family and didn't really cost much money at all to do the financing.

    I've been able to read it through the app and I am net positive for the year as far as what's generated. The kids love to look at it. They try to monitor the power usage and it's been quite fun. I've only gotten one bill so far where the solar has been on it, and with the net metering, it's saving money. In case it goes up, I feel comfortable with how the power is coming through the panels and supplying it to my house.

    My sales consultant was extremely rude to me during our Zoom meeting. His name is Kevin **. Hopefully you do not have to deal with him as he was very unprofessional. He reminded me of a terrible used car salesman. One of his first lines of the sales call was "if you want the cheapest panel to hang up from this call right now". He then went on to say that Tesla panels are cheap junk. Out of curiosity, I asked how much are Tesla panels compared to SunPower? He said very rudely "I don't work for tesla".

    I explained that he brought them up and I was just looking for a comparison. He got aggravated with me and hung up on the call and never emailed me the information that I requested about pricing. So far I have listened to three different solar companies' pitches and Kevin's was by far the worst as he was unprofessional, arrogant, and argumentative. I also called customer support the lady on the line was hard to understand and not helpful at all. Overall I would rate SunPower a 0 out of 10.

    SunPower was very thorough and took everything into consideration. There was an issue where they couldn’t install panels on our garage. They reconfigured their plan quickly and efficiently so that they could still go forward with the installation. They did a good job. I only had two real complaints and one has been resolved. The crew that installed our system wasn't as careful as they could have been around our plants and they trampled over them. When we first got the system there, my SunPower app and also online monitoring were terrible and wouldn't connect. They sent me reports at the end of the month but I couldn't check in to see what the system was producing. They've since rebooted or did something to their app where it works great now. on the whole, I'm very satisfied going solar.

    My electrical panel was damaged and it was strongly recommended that I replace it. I figured I might as well do a solar upgrade for that part. SunPower was one of the four companies I researched five years ago before I put a new roof on and it was still one of the top three we were looking at. the installers were great and I've had my panels for a month and a half now. We had a great experience.

    Two falls ago, we had five power outages in the four months. We've had two windstorms since and there have been two power outages. The only way I can tell there’s been power out is when I see the stove light blinking. The stove would go off and yet I don't see any reduction. I work from home and I use a medical device to sleep. I have to have consistent power for those parts. With our solar system in place, we haven't noticed any difference. Everything's been fine.

    We recently got solar system from this company from builder because it was only company builder works with. Solar activation still not done, multiple call to customer service is of no help, they would not even schedule a call after 12 days. Every time we call was told that it takes 24-48 hours to schedule a call and someone will call but we never get call. Stay away from this company if you can, we did not have choice unfortunately.     The SunPower sales rep was wonderful. The installation team was awful. They have no communication skills with anybody. I was told it was gonna be done in two days, and it took them two months. The guy thought we had to get approval from the city for something, but in our county, we didn't need it. Then they just had to keep rescheduling because they would leave and things weren't done. I'd complain and they'd have to reschedule for two weeks later. As far as the app, it kept telling us that it wasn't online. So I called, and the rep said, "Okay." The next day, she emailed and said it's been fixed. I checked the app again, but it's not fixed. Finally, after three weeks, somebody at SunPower got it fixed.

    Enrolling with them was good. It took a little longer than what was expected but that was with city permitting. Now, I'm over producing like I wanted so I don't have to pay Edison. I use the app to see what I produce for the day. But the Edison website shows how much I overproduced from day to day. Also, their site can show me what my credits are so that's what I look at. Use SunPower. 20 years from now, they'll still be producing a good amount of the power which is what I like.
