ShopSolar is a good company. They took care of us, and we haven’t had any issues with them. We wanted to go solar because of high electric bills, and it took us a while to do it, but since then, we’ve been very happy with ShopSolar. We’ve ordered quite a bit of equipment from them, and they've always delivered on time and in good shape. We’ve installed them ourselves, and they’re all functioning well. Hooking up the equipment was easy, and it didn’t take long to do it once we got the hang of programming through the inverters to match everything up. We’re running the swimming pool and hot tub, and the pump in the pond with no electricity from the grid.

Somebody had looked ShopSolar up and gave me the website, and I ordered what they told me to. We bought it for the city of Akron in Ohio, and they are installing it somewhere. I was in charge of ordering and making sure we received it. They did a great job. Everything went very well. They got back with me, and the experience was easier than I thought. They provided good communication too. I would do it again. If I needed one myself personally, I would shop there.

ShopSolar has very good inventory. I was able to search through a lot of stuff on their website and I tried to make my decision that way. I purchased during the 4th of July sale and got a discount. I received the panels, the cable, and some of the other brackets about a week and a half ago, which is great, but I did not get a follow-up email until I inquired about the inverter and the Wi-Fi dongle to get an estimate of when these will be here or the lead time. That was okay though. I've still got grid power and I'm not in a big hurry.

If there was gonna be any kind of delay, one would expect everything should come within the week, maybe a separate day or two. I had no idea when my order was coming or if it was backordered, so I was worried that something had happened and maybe my order got shipped to the wrong address. I've been waiting on the inverter and the Wi-Fi dongle for a little while and I wanted to confirm that it wasn't shipped yet. My order is supposed to be here on Tuesday. Aside from that, I want to get another inverter of the same thing and run 220 volts eventually, so I will be back. I would definitely tell someone else about ShopSolar as well.

ShopSolar's prices came up as a little better than the others. I only really plugged it in, but then, it's good to have it rather than to need it and not have it. It seems to be working fine. I got my Jackery 5000 from them. That thing ended up in New Mexico. It came from Grand Prairie, Dallas, which is a three hours' drive from me. FedEx sent this over to New Mexico and then to Arizona, and then it looped back. I called FedEx seven times and, finally, they came back. I did contact ShopSolar and they said that they followed up with FedEx and they were able to give me even more information, which was good. I appreciated that they did. I finally got it.

I bought two inverters with ShopSolar. I got a 6,000, and then I recently purchased a 12,000 because lightning had hit my other one. And so, it burned it out. They got it shipped to me and I'm in the middle of them getting it installed. I just received my battery today. It takes four batteries instead of the three that I had. But they already sent me back a replacement for my 6000 because it was still under warranty. And I'm finishing to ship their other one that went bad on me. I'm going to ship it back to them, see if they can fix it, and maybe help somebody else.

I worked with a gentleman at the location. I talked to their service people and salespeople. Maddy takes care of all the service items, and I've been speaking with her. She helped me out by getting a manual sent to me for my 12,000 XP unit, because they only give a computer-based printout.

I stay out in the country quite a bit and it's all off the grid here. So, sometimes I have power, sometimes I don't. Even though I got solar, sometimes there‘s no sun. So, that's the only downfall about it is if there's no sun. But all in all, I've been satisfied. I've had a few issues here and there, but none that weren't resolved.

I bought an EG4 air conditioner, a little 12,000 BTU one, from ShopSolar. I’ve had this for not quite a year yet. It’s a Growatt inverter and it burned on me. The tech said the room got too hot but the room stays at about 80-90 degrees. In the directions, it says that it’ll go up to 140 degrees. The tech was telling me he’s not gonna warranty it so I’m pissed off. He’s gonna take a month and a half to two months to get it fixed for me.

I also bought two PV wires that I needed to connect my panels together. I’ve got four arrays and they’re running 1,200 watts each array. So I’m running 4,800 watts and a 400-watt ERA panels. I’ve got 12 of those and I’ve got four more for this EG4 air conditioner.

I’m also thinking of buying a couple 22,000 BTUs from ShopSolar for my house in Arizona. I’m going to put one at one end of the house and another one at the other end. Those will take about six panels a piece. I will get about 12 400-watt panels and run those in the future. And then I wanna take that house in Arizona off grid. I’m gonna go with either a 10 or a 12-kilowatt system for that. That’s my plan within the next year so I’ll be buying some more stuff from ShopSolar.

The next thing I’m buying will be an inverter to bring down here to Belize so I can get my system back running. ‘Cause just to run my pool, it costs about US$150 a month. This system down here was about $6,500, US. I figured that this thing would pay for itself within four to five years and it would still be okay with my batteries.

I could save some money for my batteries and then replace them in 8 to 19 years. I have enough PVs that my batteries go to about 60% to 70%. That’s all the discharge they ever get. My battery should last a long time here and same with Arizona because there’s so much sunlight there.

All in all, ShopSolar has given me a good product. I’m really happy with this EG4 air conditioner and it’s such a lifesaver. We set it at about 24 Celsius and it’ll run from 6:30 in the morning till 5:30 at night. It runs for almost 11 hours this time of year. It’s been extra hot and we have 95-degree days and 85% humidity. It works like a charm and it doesn’t cost a dime to run it.

I spoke with four different individuals on different phone calls asking about what my needs were for my cabin, because I'm off-grid. They responded very quickly with a schematic of what my energy needs are and different options that I had to provide that need, like get my bare minimum, build for growth. And I decided to build for growth.

The cost was the best in the market. I've been researching my purchase for four years. I've been waiting to make a purchase on solar for four years. And I cannot tell you how many thousands of hours of videos I have watched online and read comments and talked to people and looked at local purchases locally in the Colorado Springs area.

My neighbor just got a $50,000 system while I paid $4,400 and some change. I have to install it myself and get an electrician. But the instructions were so simple, that when my system arrived, I had to read four pages and safely hook up two panels. And I had power immediately.

They send you everything. They send you the schematics, the cords, the system. And they follow up with you. They track your shipping because it's $4,000 worth of equipment. I had a big problem with FedEx, which they've never had before, where they literally dumped my equipment in my field, because I'm on a cattle farm, and forged my name that I signed for my delivery. That was FedEx driver. I reported that to FedEx.

ShopSolar was upset about that. They called FedEx, called the post office, tracked all my stuff down. And they're in Canada. At the time the ShopSolar guy I was talking to was in Canada. So, I cannot tell you the amount of customer service. I've never seen a company like this. I am so happy I would refer them to anybody.

Then, one of my cords was missing. The post office lost it. And we're talking about a 30-foot cord that the other four panels won't work unless you connect to it. They tracked it down and re-sent it out of their own money. They didn't charge me a dime.

I went to sleep the other night with my TV on, and my battery banks didn't go dead. And I'm only using two panels. When the other wire comes, I'll hook up the other four panels.

Their customer service will email you back within the same day. Sometimes you have to wait when you call, but they will answer the phone. And it's a real person. And I love that when they're not available, they just put the phones to “We’re closed”, which is so much better than making us stay on hold. They'll say, “We're closed. Call this number. Email this.” They all get back with you.

I'm in United States, so I only speak one language, English. And they spoke English beautifully. And that is a big deal when you're talking about customer service, because a lot of companies I deal with, even with my school, they take all their calls to Asia. Sometimes when you're trying to troubleshoot, you can't understand what the person’s saying. And I was really concerned about that. And I was really happy to find out that they all spoke English beautifully, because I'm hooking up wires. And I'm not an electrician. They've been amazing.

I love my Anker C300 S. It has 288 kilowatt hours. So, it's a small one. I wanted to start out with something relatively inexpensive. It's great. When the sun's out, I use the panels you set with it. The other times, I use the grid when the power is low in terms of cost. I use it mainly to power my fans to save a fortune by not using my air conditioning. I'm retired and it's very convenient. I have it for three weeks now. It's a very good experience. My interest for solar was created by the rising price of energy. I found out about ShopSolar and then I started comparing the information and prices to other sites. They clearly set themselves above other companies in the similar space.

I’m building a shop and as soon as it’s done, I’m gonna install the solar kits. I’m hopeful that it’s gonna provide ample power for my woodworking shop, battery charging and saws running. Saws run for a short period of time so they use a significant amount of energy. I plan on hooking up a well that powers my sprinkler system and water on my grass. I’m also gonna install a mini split that will have heat and air so I’m anxious to see how that works, especially how it pulls from the battery and how long it keeps it running.

Depending upon how well it does, I’m hopeful that I may create another system that powers my home. My goal is to get completely off the grid. So far, I’m very satisfied. Based on my experience, they’re trustworthy. I was able to call customer support and talk them through what I was planning to do. Based on that, they were able to select a system that was appropriately sized for my needs. I talked to another company and the system that they wanted to sell me was twice as big as the ShopSolar and cost 3 times as much.

My litmus test for ShopSolar, they passed it. They’re honest and there was no pressure to buy. They simply answered questions and said that if I needed anything else, they were here to support. Personally, I like that.

I ordered 410W bi-facial, however the website defaults it back to standard 410W panels. Please see the attached screenshots to prove this fact. The price for 410W Bi-facial panels according to their site is $199, however after you pay $650 for shipping, they send you the WRONG panels (they sent 410W, claiming that is what I ordered) and then when you ask for the correct panels, they want you to pay the shipping cost back to them, and another shipping cost to have them send the correct panels.

The kicker is they also want more money per panel, clear bait and switch fraud. ShopSolar claims they do not have an issue with their site, yet I challenged them to get on a Zoom meeting and I would prove it to them LIVE, right in front of their eyes, to date they have declined, so I have provided proof in screenshots that these folks are fraudulent in their business practices. I saw on a Facebook ad that ShopSolarKits had Anker and EcoFlow, two of the units I was interested in. They seemed to have the best price, too. I also have a gas generator that I use for some intermittent outages, and it's a pain. It has come a long way since I bought it, so I decided to give the ShopSolar kit a try. It's for emergencies when the power goes out for any extended period of time. I've had it for a couple of weeks now. I had a transfer switch wired into my breaker panel for eight circuits, so I have a cable, a cord that will run from the solar unit to the transfer switch. My expectations are it's gonna work fine based on everything I've read and watched on YouTube.

ShopSolar’s reps were helpful. I’ve done a bunch of legwork ahead of time and had it narrowed down to two different units. I decided again because of the money difference between EcoFlow and Anker. I went with the Anker system. They seem to think that was what I was interested to buy and was appropriate for my needs. When I ordered it, I had everything delivered to my door three days later, free shipping. We're talking about the main unit that's 140 pounds, and an extra battery that was another 80-something pounds. Overall, if you're interested in something in the lines of solar energy, at least give ShopSolar a good look over in terms of price.
