Enrolling with ShopSolar was fine, and the quote compared to the final cost was dead on. Getting it installed was a breeze. Having solar has greatly increased my energy conservation.

We purchased a complete off-grid solar kit. Rich Solar 2,400w inverter with 5 200w panels. All was great. We hooked up in July. This was to run the barn, so not very heavy load. It ran lights and a large fan all the rest of the summer. Then it got cold and down it went. Something went wrong with the inverter during the cold. We could charge it up with the generator (the charger that came with it did not work for this system) but it always went back down again.
We contacted them in November. It took all winter long for them to determine that the inverter needed to be checked. This after back and forth so many times. Now we have to pay to have it shipped back, and if they determine nothing is wrong we have to pay to have it shipped back to us. How will we know if something was wrong with it (aside from the fact that it doesn't work in the cold). Sending it back in the summer doesn't make sense. And taking their word for it if it turns out nothing is wrong. But it is we didn't have power all winter.

After a thorough review of this case and direct discussions with Rich Solar’s upper management and technical team, we want to provide some clarity. The RS-H2424 inverter is designed to operate within an ambient temperature range of 32°F to 122°F. Unfortunately, this means it is susceptible to shutting down when exposed to freezing temperatures. This limitation is part of the inverter’s design and is noted in the user manual.
The troubleshooting and support process took longer than it should have, and we recognize how frustrating the delays and back-and-forth communication must have been. We’re actively working to improve our support response times and provide more transparent guidance to prevent these situations in the future.
For customers in colder climates, we now offer a new model, the NOVA MAX 3K inverter, which features an expanded temperature range and can operate in conditions as low as 14°F. This may be a better fit for off-grid systems exposed to harsh winter weather.

I recently purchased a home in Warsaw, Virginia. As an electrician, I’ve never seen a $464 electric bill. So, we weren’t going with that for long. I watched some YouTube videos and the EG4 was highly recommended so I ordered that.
I’ve never done solar before so there was a learning curve. I reached out to ShopSolar when going through the programming and trying to do updates. I learned it would have been much more convenient if I’d have stayed in the house with the LiFePO4 batteries. But I didn’t know that. I love my system though.
It’s a farmhouse, three-bedroom, 1,400 feet. Initially, I had load for the entire house to see how the 6,000-watt inverter would act and how long it could stay charged. The house is completely electric and that did not work. I love my EG4 and I’m leaning toward getting another one, but there’s just too much of a demand. It’s been around a while and they’ve thought of everything.
If you know how to look at the data, you could hook up a device and see what it demands right then and there. Click “Update” and it could show you exactly 1,100 watts. The heat pump in this thing, because of the cold, was drawing 43 amps. And then you’ve got a hot water heater that’s drawing 24 amps. Then you got a stove that’s drawing 50 amps. There’s no way all that can work on 6,000 watts, which is 50 amps.
It was as simple as let me first upgrade this panel, which you’re running into things. But they have to come here. If I don’t pay the electric bill, I bet they will cut it off. But they couldn’t come and disconnect. Which as an electrician, we just find another route, which really was a blessing. So, instead of installing a new panel, I put in a subpanel.
In that subpanel, which is the load from the inverter, I put the hot water heater. Through this winter, it would kick on every hour, trying to warm up 40 gallons of water. And you’re sitting in bed and drawing 24 amps every time it does it. So, the hot water heater, the microwave, my bedroom and the lights ar ein there. So, even if power does go out, which has happened once, I still have my essential circuits. My bill has dropped from $464 a month to about $105.
I wish I had gotten the LiFePO4 American batteries. The RUiXU are Japanese or Chinese batteries, which they point you to the forum to answer all your questions. There are no RUiXU 48-volt 100-hour battery with the EG4 6000 people in the forum. So, I was the only one. So, I gotta email this Wang. And then he emailed the link back in a couple of days to update my batteries so they can communicate with the EG4.
I attached my laptop to the batteries and tried to update them individually and then I emailed them back and go on the phone. Couple of days later, I got the answer. The updates depend on which type of inverter I’m using.
But it wasn’t a ShopSolar issue. Until two weeks ago, the lowest state of charge is 20% up to 90% or 95%. I wanted to do a full cycle of the battery. And it wouldn’t go past 80% charging. So, I called ShopSolar. That’s when I wish I had gotten those batteries.
What we did was put it on that state of charge, but volt lead-acid batteries. And I can control the amount of charge that goes to that battery. I don’t know if they realize it, but if you go to your app and open the EG4 app and click “Firmware update”, you can actually see the state of charge, even though your program is set for lead-acid voltage, 58 volts.
Overall, ShopSolar is responsive. You definitely get a reply and answer. They’ve got some restrictive work hours but other than that, they’re a good company. They stand behind their products and they’re knowledgeable.
I love those plugin cable attachments from the battery to the inverter. They were 1- or 2-watt with the nice plug on it. They do not fit the 48-volt RUiXU battery but they fit the stackable case to put the batteries in so I had to return that. I got a $153 refund though.
Right now, I could definitely run an entire day. Yesterday I was in Richmond all day, and then I came back and saw the hot water heater kicked on. But if you cut it off, you gotta warm up 40 gallons of ice cold water. So, you don’t wanna cut it off.
The EG4 allows you the opportunity to actually view each appliance in your house. Everything’s electric in my house, the electric stove, refrigerator, microwave, hot water heater, dryer, washer, AC. There’s no gas or propane.

I checked a link about ShopSolar from the How To with Doc YouTube, called to inquire and a really nice guy named Matt helped me out. I got a solar generator bundle with panels for residential and RV use. Those things are too expensive, but they put together that bundle and I compared it to other things.
I was on their website when I worked with Matt, so that way, I could see. I was still trying to figure out what I wanted, so I had to call for help finishing up my order, and he was there with the last little parts of what I needed to do. It went really well. They're good folk.

They were very helpful and everything was good. I did a little bit of research on the equipment ShopSolar was selling, which I picked out, and so far, I've been happy with it. I purchased a 12,000-watt inverter and a battery and I’m very impressed with it.

I was into solar for a long time, probably since the ‘80s. I moved from New Jersey to Tennessee, and I’m on a 2,000-foot mountain in the woods. We got quite a few blackouts up here with the wind. Storms are really bad, so the power goes out a lot. When the power isn’t out, you don’t think about it, but I’ve been thinking. I have solar panels already and a lot of backup stuff, but it’s all small. I needed something a lot bigger up here where I am now. I’m gonna use the solar panels just for backup. I've seen ShopSolarKits ads. And they seemed more sincere than the other ones. They were in constant contact with me. I told them the kit I wanted and they gave me a little deal on it. I just went for the kit and told them what I wanted, and that’s what I got.
Delivery was good. It came pretty fast. There was one problem, though, with the solar panels themselves. There was three different shipments from different people. Basically, you can’t get a tractor trailer up here. I call it Snake Road because it’s an S road with very tight turns all the way up for six miles. They don’t even allow tractor trailers on it. I’m on a dead-end street with no turnaround and no driveway. You can’t get a tractor trailer down here, even box trucks are sometimes tight. It's 2,000 feet up in the air. Even with a car, you have to make a lot of tight turns. It’s a strain on a lot of cars.
I tried talking to the company, but I had to talk to the driver. I gave them all the details about the problems. I kept telling the company, “You can’t come up here,” but they wouldn’t listen. The company sent the driver. It wasn’t the driver himself. He wasn’t knowledgeable of the area, so I had to tell him. The guy came the first day and I said, “Don’t even bother.” Where the first driver was, he was heading up where I call Snake Road. He would have got jammed with that tractor trailer and they’d have to shut the road down for a day. I told the company, “This is what happens when people try to come up here with the wrong kind of vehicle. I know. I live here.” I don't know why they wanted to bring it up in a tractor trailer. The solar panels came in a big crate. Finally, the next day, the guy came with a box truck and he was able to get in. Other than that, everything else came up, no problem. ShopSolarKits is the place to go buy something.

Me and my girl wanted to do solar for backup instead of running a generator. I wanted off-grid, so I researched the crap out of it. There was ShopSolar and the Jackery. I like ShopSolar’s system. It's more for a house, and the expansion is nice. Also, the battery is really impressive. I'm a DIY guy. I followed this YouTuber that I nicknamed Sheldon, and he demos equipment. I was impressed with his knowledge, and ShopSolar’s guys answered me pretty well, so I went with them.
For the middle of wintertime, delivery was good. We had a storm that week. They rang my phone at each step. One guy couldn't make it on Tuesday last week because of the ice storm. Another guy showed up on Friday with the panels, and this guy showed up yesterday with the rest of the parts. I think it was two weeks altogether, but for the crap weather coming out of Texas, I can't complain. The guys were very professional. I talked to the guy about my generator to make sure I had enough watts to handle charging the battery for off-grid, and it does.
The representative gave me a pretty good deal. I priced it out, and ShopSolar was about four grand cheaper than another company, and he cut me a deal on shipping. When I was trying to do it online, I ran my credit card through and forgot I had fraud protection, so it didn’t go through. I called ShopSolar to make sure I didn't double-run it. The representative went over it with me and still gave me the discount on the order. I'm happy with that.
I haven't had time to hook it up yet, so I'm still going to have to call them up toward the tail end as I'm doing the install, but it’s pretty basic. When I put in the panels, I had to really learn about volts because it’s a different ball game.

I've had very good experience with ShopSolar. It would be great if they could have a better break down of the different products ‘cause a lot of it is in kit form and I found it a bit difficult to navigate around. But their technology seems to be a step ahead of everybody else. I got a plug-and-play 3,600 Delta Pro with the panels, I wish it had better instructions, like an owner's manual, more in-depth, but I worked my way through it, so it’s fine. I've used the unit to power my freezer 24/7 for five days to get used to the system, take care of different appliances in case the power goes down, and it's worked really well.
The first unit I got had a problem, I called ShopSolar and they took care of it immediately. The representative stuck with me every single day until I got another unit. The prices are fair compared to anybody else I looked at. But even if it's a little bit higher, I'd go back with ShopSolar because of the customer service.

We have an off-grid cabin. I told ShopSolar everything that we had in the cabin, and they ran a chart on it. They said, “This is the one you need,” and we ordered it. I'm not a savvy person, but it was easy for me to navigate their website. I paid a little bit more than what I really wanted though. I bought a Delta 3, and then I ordered the extra battery with it later on. I put it all together myself. I did not understand some of the semantics for hooking stuff up. But I called, and they called me right back.

ShopSolar provides good service. I have called in the past to ask for advice about some things, and everybody seems very knowledgeable. I heard about them on a podcast or a YouTube channel. I went on the website, found the product I wanted, and got it. The Anker Solix F3800 is like a power bank with solar panels. The cost was good. If I bought it earlier, I probably could have gotten a better deal. But I didn't have the chance. It was a good enough deal, and the quality seems great. It works fine.

ShopSolar’s website was very easy to navigate. I just went on there and found what I wanted. They had the best deal. So I hit buy. Basically, it's a generator box. I just set it down and plug it in. I haven't been down on my farm, so I haven't been able to test it yet. But I'm using it on my camper.
The FedEx driver tried to steal it. I was at the house when he pulled up and signed, not even my name. I was watching him when I went out, and he just took off. And then I went to his workplace and talked with his supervisor. He had some story, of course. But we figured it out.
I called ShopSolar and made a suggestion to have them pack it up in a separate box so it's not so advertised. Because all somebody has to do is look at this thing, pull it up, and they could see what it is, and its worth.
If someone’s interested in something like that, ShopSolar would be a place to look at. They even called me back to see if I received it. So, that was good.

I live in Las Vegas and I have property out in Arizona. So, I charge up my solar generators with my solar panels. I use them for my motor home and for my outdoor living when I’m camping. Everything has been good overall. ShopSolar was very helpful and they got good pricing and good products.

With ShopSolar, my bill has dropped about 80%. I've been happy with them. One of my friends at church told me this is the place to buy stuff from. Enrolling with them was easy. I bought one system, and after that, I figured out how it worked. I kept adding as I go. I got my last couple of pieces in and everything is working well. I installed it all myself and it's simple. The diagrams were straightforward and it all worked out. It didn't burn my house down. I've also called them one or twice, and they've been able to answer most of my questions. When I need to order something, I go online, find it, and it shows up.

It was actually better than expected. Being a newbie as far as solar goes, the people at ShopSolar were knowledgeable and helpful, so it worked out pretty good for me. I'm fully off-grid for a cabin and it was well worth the money. Ordering was very simple. Just point and click and that was it. I did speak with a representative 'cause there was slight issue with suppliers, which wasn't their fault. It was just the suppliers ran out of product.

I saw ShopSolar from YouTube, and I was looking for a generator. I saw Delta Pro and Anchor, and I decided to buy one of those generators. During enrollment, there was a misunderstanding because in the email that I get with the confirmation, they showed there were two generators, and I only got one.
When I put the complaint, a lady from customer service said that was a mistake. They don’t know how they, for some reason, showed two and there was supposed to be only one. They never tried to see why or how that happened. Still, I can recommend this company, but I would tell one of my family or a friend to double check things.

It was a full system. We're building a small off-the-grid cabin, and I bought a system that would basically take care of our needs. Our cabin is in a northern country, so we're buried in snow. So there's no installation happening for multiple months yet. It was a pretty quick shipment. It came in multiple shipments over a few days.

I’m DIY-ing everything as far as my solar system so I was looking for parts here and there. I got ShopSolar and the quality was great. It has helped me with completing my install. I purchased two items from them and that has been very successful. It was delivered quickly. Enrollment with ShopSolar was easy. They were great. One solar panel arrived shattered and the new one's on its way right now. However, it took longer to get the new panel for the broken one but it was coming straight from the manufacturer.

I was looking at five different companies and ShopSolar had positive comments about follow-up and answering phones which was one of the biggest complaints with the other companies. I bought the kit because they were most recommended, and ShopSolar's customer service has been great. I'm still working on the installation though. I just got the batteries the other day. They were on back order.

I initially did solar as an alternative to a propane generator, and for the most part, my experience with ShopSolar has been good. They were a bit slow in getting me the 15 kW generator. I put a deposit down in January and they put me aside and forgot about me. I called them in May and reminded them, and they came through and gave me the $1000 off. I was happy with that.
So far, I have not put the 15 kW generator to work. I bought the Worthy Eagle Pro from ShopSolar. I have two extra batteries and I have two Pros. I power off and on, depending on the day and how cloudy it is. I power my refrigerators, and my freezer with it. I have not set up all my solar panels yet, but hopefully, this fall, we'll get it all together and 80% of the time, it won't be on the grid.

I saw ShopSolar online and I called them. I'm on oxygen so I needed a solar backup just in case. I got a 5,000 watt kit, and it came with four batteries, but that wasn't quite enough to run all night. I bought a property and live in an RV. I bought eight more panels and more batteries. I wanted it big, so I put a lot more money into it. Now, I can run my air conditioner all day long in my fifth wheel, plus my TV and my oxygen machine. I can run my whole trailer. I'm also adding more panels to it now to where it will charge up faster.
I've had issues when I was getting the system installed, so I called ShopSolar and they have the best technicians. They're very customer-oriented and they follow through with what they say. If someone has to leave a message, they follow right back up. They don't leave people waiting. I'd tell people to give them a try and call them up.

I was looking at ShopSolarKits, and they seemed to have everything that I wanted. I had a little problem with one order. It's one of the generators that I ordered, and it kept getting mixed up. It said it would leave California. It left California and then wound up, in the end, going right back to them. That did it twice. Other than that, I had no problems with receiving orders after I called and had them straighten the problem out. Their customer service reps were great. If they solve my issue, that was the big thing. They were able to answer my questions quite well.
I got a do-it-myself system. I like it. There's no electricity where I'm at, and to get power run back there would have cost me a huge amount of money. Plus, there would be monthly bills that I'd had to pay. Where with solar, I don't. I have a backup gas generator. If we happen to have a bunch of cloudy days where my solar generator wouldn't charge, I could plug it in to that and charge it. Right now, I've got a problem. I bought two generators. I don't know what the problem is though. I gotta give them a call. If I turn it on, it doesn't come on at all. I don't know if the battery in it is bad or what, but it's not working at the present. I have a back up one that I'm using right now.

I have a camper and we're planning on going boondocking a lot. I liked ShopSolar's price. They were competitive and cheaper than most of their competition. I compared their site with several other sites, and they had kits that already had everything in it that you needed. So, that helped. I got two EcoFlow Pro portable units and 10 200-watt solar panels, a dual voltage hub, some line, and several of small items. I've tried the products out. They're working fine. I've added to the system since I originally bought it. Overall, I had a good experience.

A couple of years ago I got a BLUETTI AC200P from ShopSolar and was pleased with that. I liked the service I got from ShopSolar because they were always there after the sale. In the last couple of months, I've added another solar generator and a 400 watts solar panel. It's a portable one. The first time around, I got a Hex kit on the BLUETTI. I added the Anker solar generator, and added the expansion battery to the generator, and added the 400 watts solar panel. So, I got four things from ShopSolar.

I liked the packaging they had the first time that I bought from them and I liked the quality of the unit. I went back a second time and I bought an extra battery pack a couple of months ago. I’m lowering my bill by $20 to $30 a month, even with running the air.

ShopSolar does good on the sales end of it. They did a nice service and put together a nice package but follow-up has been a little on the weak side. The installation was difficult and I took some time. Though doable, I've had a lot of trouble getting the system up and running. I'm not sure they're capable of troubleshooting the system. They’ve got too many products and don't seem to know all of those products so I ultimately had to get to the manufacturer. But they had figured out what's wrong and hopefully, I'll be able to get this thing up and running here soon.

I bought a 2,000 watt system from ShopSolar for $2,300. I built a cabin off the grid and the system is made more for off-the-grid cabins that aren't gonna have a lot of need. I went with propane everywhere I could and added some extra solar panels to give me a little more because I wanna upgrade with the second battery eventually. With the system, I can watch TV all day, use the refrigerator and run some power tools. As long as the sun's out, the battery will stay on the charge position all day. When I run into trouble, it's at night or if it's cloudy for a couple of days. I went down one day and had no power. But it was two days and I used it. If I deal with a second battery, it'll give me more storage. I have to be careful at night but I have a generator to supplement. If I get down, I wanna watch a ball game at night. I could crank the generator on for half an hour to supplement so I have power in the morning.
I asked ShopSolar about a second battery because I've seen batteries online that were $300 cheaper than their battery. My experience was excellent, but I'm not sure that that was a truthful answer. I have since researched, and they say you should use the same battery that comes with the system when you go with the second battery. I'm gonna have to go with their battery eventually. But all in all, I was very satisfied and would recommend ShopSolar. I have a lot of people that when they come and see the cabin, they look at the solar system and wanna know more about it. I explained to them how simple it was to install.

You call ShopSolar and say you got a problem, and there's somebody there to help you through. The technical support is a big plus. I've dealt with them three times so far and every time, the people that are on the other side of the phone are very knowledgeable in what they do. One of the first things I needed was parts for my EcoFlow solar generators and ShopSolar was the one who had them in stock and have the stock because EcoFlow deals with them a lot. When stuff comes off the assembly line, ShopSolar is one of the first companies to get the stuff. I don't wanna be sitting here with a piece of machinery that I can't get parts for and with ShopSolar, I'm able to do that. When I called them, it rang two times and I had somebody. It's not AI and they're American.
If people are interested into looking into stuff like that, ShopSolar would be one of the first places I would tell them to look. You can go on Amazon, eBay and all these other sites, but you're getting stuff that's coming direct from some back alley factory in China. You get what you pay for. ShopSolar has smaller kits of smaller scale which can help you get into if you're interested in solar. Every deal that I've seen Amazon has, ShopSolar had it as well for either the same price or less. I'm sorry I didn't purchase other things from ShopSolar. By the time I found them, it’s already too late. But if I had it all over to do again, I would probably have bought off them from the beginning.

Our $ 25,000 purchase is now a $ 25,000 professionally installed boat anchor due to dead batteries. Communication from ShopSolar following our purchase was haphazard. Even though we informed them the batteries were to be in storage for several months, we weren't informed they required periodic charging. Now they expect us to crate up two 300 lb batteries (hazardous materials...) & ship them across the county for repair? Unknown costs involved.

Our Management Team has reviewed the emails and notes regarding your account, and we truly sympathize with the difficult position you currently face. However, you advised the battery manufacturer that the batteries were left sitting for a year and a half without the proper care, which unfortunately caused permanent damage to the cells. According to the warranty terms from the manufacturer, leaving the batteries without proper maintenance for over 6 months voids the warranty.
