As a solar installer, Harvest Power doesn’t manufacture its own equipment. The company offers equipment from Tesla.

Harvest Power installation

The typical residential solar panel installation by Harvest Power involves five stages:

  1. Initial consultation: A Harvest Power consultant visits your home for an on-site evaluation. They assess your roof and electricity usage to determine if your house is a good candidate for a solar system. This introductory meeting lets you learn more about the company and ask questions before committing.
  2. System design: If you move forward, Harvest Power creates a customized system design that maximizes potential energy savings. The team uses the latest solar technologies to match your home's needs.
  3. Site survey: A technician inspects your roof and electrical systems more thoroughly. They take measurements and photographs to guide the engineering plans. This part usually takes less than an hour.
  4. Permits and approvals: Harvest Power handles permitting paperwork on your behalf, submitting plans to local authorities and utilities for any required approvals. This administrative step involves no effort from the homeowner.
  5. Installation: With permits in place, Harvest Power schedules a convenient installation date. It typically takes six to eight hours. Your solar array is then up and running, and you can start reducing your electricity expenses.

Harvest Power costs

Residential solar panels generally cost anywhere from $10,000 to $30,000 or more. The average solar panel installation in New York costs $19,176 before the federal solar investment tax credit (ITC). The price drops to $13,423 after ITC. The average cost to install solar panels in New Jersey is $19,390 ($13,573 after ITC).

How much you actually pay to go solar depends on the size of your system, the condition of your roof, what local incentives you can take advantage of, how you pay and other factors.

Came to measure my roof for an estimate several months ago, been called them almost monthly. Will not call me back. I guess my roof is too small for them or they just do care. Will gladly update/remove this post if they ever return my call
