My panels were put in eight years ago. EmPower came to the house and explained everything before I signed up with them. The whole front of the roof is covered as well as part of the back roof. But I recently got a very large electric bill, so EmPower is coming today to look at my solar equipment. Each day, I can see how much is being produced in the bar chart on the equipment outside. There's also an app one can use to check but there's an issue with the connection to my Wi-Fi so that's another thing they're gonna check today. Their customer support is excellent and I've recommended them to other people.

Signing up with EmPower was super easy and they were very fast with the installation part. The panels got delivered and four days later, they were on the roof. The inverters were in place. The longest wait was for the town to come and do the inspection. It took three months. The panels were on the roof but we weren't seeing any benefit from it. Other than that, I love going solar. The equipment is very good. The power company where we are gives us a check yearly for the extra that we produce. It took a year to see any "cost savings" because the bill that we usually pay went to paying off the loan.

Two gentlemen did the presentation and they took a look at the roof. One of the guys was an engineer and he figured out how many panels they could put on the roof and how much they could generate. The big ticket item on the system was getting a battery array as a backup in the house. So if the power goes down, I have 24 hours of power for back up and that was the biggest expense that we had. The installers were here in a workman-like manner. They were here every day. If they weren't going to come, they would tell me, "We're waiting for this guy and this guy is gonna come on Thursday." They were totally upfront with me with every portion.

Signing up with EmPower Solar was easy. I contacted them directly. Everyone that works there is very helpful. They have always answered the phone and my questions. They were very helpful and they walked me through the whole process. They sent out a representative. He sat down with me, went over all the details, sent through email with PDFs the whole layout of what they recommend, the size of the whole solar array, and what it would save me. They gave me the full breakdown of what my cost would be, how it would impact my utility bill moving forward, and they offered me the financing options. They offered me the option of getting a NYSERDA loan. They handled everything from getting the permits, setting up appointments with the town for inspections, and it was straightforward and quick. They were held back by the town and the town inspectors were based on their scheduling. But it was seamless.

I was interested in solar and a friend of mine and his daughter both had it and I got good reports from them. I had two other companies come here but I didn't care for the program, the buyback and the leasing and by the time I got to EmPower, I’ve decided to buy and how to buy my panels. I have had a great experience with them and I hadn't had a problem until this repair. I have two underperforming panels that I reported in early June and I had an appointment for five weeks later but they said something happened to the technician. It sounds like they've only got one. And now I'm not getting service till sometime in August. The length of time it's taken to repair two underperforming panels is a little disheartening. It has taken me three months of waiting for a technician to fix it.

I spoke with EmPower Solar and I was happy with what they had to say and the signup was pretty easy. I've had to contact them for issues a couple of times but it was issues with squirrels getting under my panels. They had to come in and do some repairs. There was one issue with inverters where they came and they had to replace them and they did it, no issues. Also, I'm pretty happy with the cost. I figured it would pay back in six years and it certainly did.

I wanted solar power for my house and I couldn't find a good service. EmPower was the first company that came out seem to know their business. I met four solar guys who had no idea what they were doing and the EmPower guy came out and sat down with me and showed me his numbers. He understood them enough to answer questions and to change variables in the numbers that I asked him to change. He understood what he was doing and what I was doing so his math felt very honest to me. After I signed with EmPower, they sent some people out to do the town meetings and handle that, which they did well and quickly. Then, they sent a crew out. In two days, they installed the system, which was professional and neat. They did a better job than a lot of electricians that I know in the way they had to get wires through the house. I was impressed with them from the beginning up to the end.

Empower Solar is the best company with the most efficient panels and cost-effective price. The salespeople were honest and upfront. They didn't sugar coat or try to upsell. They didn't try to hide anything, where a lot of the guys who were trying to lease the panels were all shady. Empower wanted to do the best for me, not the best for them. When they first started, they were just selling the system itself. They weren't leasing to get money to kick back.

The EmPower Solar salesperson I worked with was great. He came to our house and did what he had to do. And the whoever got on the roof tested everything. They gave us all the information we needed, whether it was cost-effective, etcetera. When we had our solar installed, they didn't have backup batteries. Now they have the Tesla backup battery. But I haven't heard much about that. I would have been more interested in the backup battery. Other than that, customer service has been great. I had a couple of the things throughout the years but they always responded well, kept in touch, and did what they had to do.

EmPower came over, estimated the site, and they got all the paperwork done themselves. Everything was perfect. It took eight months to get all the paper support and all the permits done, and then the installation was done within two weeks.

The signup process was good and easy and working with EmPower Solar was excellent. The product worked as discussed with them and I was very happy with the results. The price is always too high but it was fine. There were no surprises. It was as discussed and advertised.

The reps were all good and it was a positive experience with EmPower. It's a big solar panel system so, it was a large installation. It had its issues and quirks but we were able to work everything out, and it's been fine. I'm getting all the power that I should be getting and it's all on my phone app. It's exactly what they had represented. I have recommended EmPower to other people in the past.

It was terrible with Empower Solar. They lied. I asked them what happens if my roof needs to be changed? They said, "We inspected your roof and your roof is great." Two years later, my roof had to be changed. They told me it would cost $500 to take the solar panels off the roof and put them back on. Then they tried to charge me $2,500. We ended up reaching a different price but it was still twice as much as what they originally quoted me. I would never recommend them again. They should be ashamed for what they did.

I had EmPower when I lived in New York. Their rep, Corey, sat down with me and we went through it probably five or six times because I was skeptical. He gave me education on going solar and I learned more about it. It wasn't one of those sales-y type pitches. He was more of the guy that said, "Hey, you have any questions, you call me back, and I'll let you know. I will get you the information that you're looking for." Also, I recall him saying that there were two different types of panels that I could use. One was much more expensive and one was more affordable. And as a salesperson, you'd push the most expensive on the client but Corey was completely the opposite. He gave me what I needed and he was the most honest salesperson I've ever met in my life.

EmPower Solar is good. Their rep came over with all the documentation and went over everything. Everything was thorough and the installation took a day and a half. I'm satisfied with going solar and I noticed differences in my bills right away.

Everything is very positive in my experience with EmPower Solar. The workmen were very neat and cordial. They accommodated all my needs. I had asked for some special things, and they gave it to me. It was great. I'm very satisfied. I’d recommend them highly.

Or else you will be paying $650.00 monthly loan payments + con Edison bill for next 20 years if you're not eligible for tax credits. Get into details what they are doing. Multiple sales representatives to deal with who will never clearly explain what is happening. At the end of installation they were refusing to install the feeders to monitor panels production. And they were asking for more money. We have suffered a lot instead of a joyful journey.

Too much Gouging. You estimate how much I will save then try to get 80% + right off the top, then system wears out, or needs replacement, and roof a 8k roof has to be redone. 400w solar panels high cost are $500 a panel, you charge 2.5 to 3x as much. Where's the savings.?

Everything I've done with EmPower has been excellent. They made me very comfortable with the purchase and everybody I had dealt with were very cordial and seemed knowledgeable. Everything's been holding up and doing well. If you're looking for solar, EmPower is reliable and makes the experience comfortable.

The rep followed up and when things got delayed in getting the permits for the solar, EmPower sent us some gift cards to make up for the inconvenience and the loss of the summer months. So, it was nice. It's been a while since my first installation with EmPower Solar but it was fairly easy and well communicated so I knew when people were coming and how long they were gonna be there for. The installation team was friendly, prompt and courteous. EmPower has a way of tracking what I’m producing electronically but I unhooked it and I haven't re-hooked it. So, I just track it on the power statements that come from my power company. EmPower has been great. Any time I've had an issue or needed something corrected, they've been quick to fix it. I just saved money so I don't have any complaints. I would recommend them.

The sign-up process with EmPower was very straightforward. They give you the buying and leasing options, and if you'll be paying every month for energy, and if not, how many kilowatts each panel produces. If you put this many panels, you're gonna produce this much. If you put this many, this much. It's very thorough. If you thought you needed two more panels, you can add two more. If you thought it was too much, you could take off. In both my houses, it was the perfect number of panels. They have an app and it tells you what it produces every day, the month, the year, and if there are any shortcomings you gotta check back. They did the installation in a day and when one of the inverters in the house broke, they came and installed it and I paid nothing. Two of my family members installed panels and they're happy.

Empower Solar is a great company. My utility costs are lower.

The reps were very helpful when I needed them. The installation took a day. A few of my neighbors asked us about it. I told them about the bill being cheaper and how much better it is, and three of them got it.

I love EmPower Solar. The company is fantastic. I had issues during COVID and everything was replaced. It wasn't the easiest thing to do and it took a little bit longer than usual. But responded back and it was very reasonable under the conditions that we were living. If I email them about anything, I get a response back. Once you email and you are in communication with someone, you can call them and it's not an issue. But if they don't know what it is, they're not going to call you right back because there are emails to let them know there is an issue and a person gets assigned. I also had Wi-Fi issues and they worked with me on that.

Empower Solar has been easy to deal with so far. I experienced one problem wherein one of my panels wasn't responding. The company sent out a technician, and they diagnosed it, found the problem and fixed it for me free of charge. When I took over the house from the previous owner, I got a small electric bill for the first two years. Once this problem was corrected, I didn't receive any. I received credits. I have recommended Empower Solar to two friends when they were interested in looking into solar panels.

EmPower's sign up process was very professional, they do follow-ups, and everything was on time. I had a person who was in charge of all the paperwork and the permits. He used to call me all the time. He came to the house. He was very clear. He was great. The system cost $46,000, but my rebates altogether were $26,000. So, I only paid $20,000. They give me a great interest rate of 3%. I haven't had any electrical bills since they installed my system. So, I'm very happy with it. EmPower is the place to go. When we had a problem with the unit the following year, they came right away. One of the panels was out so they replaced it. I can also monitor the system with the app. With any issue that I'll have, I can call them right away and they will come.

EmPower Solar’s CEO and sales manager came out to my home, did an inspection and walked around with me. I was impressed with their CEO and their solution, the prices, and the product that they were selling. The installation was fine. It was a process to get it started and it took several months. I started in the spring and it did not get installed until right before Thanksgiving. The installers installed the panels and hooked up the inverter. By a day and a half, it was producing electricity. I then needed to get the net meter installed to start to see the benefits. But I was already experiencing the benefits of it once it was hooked up. In the last week, I've been dealing with EmPower’s support team on an issue and it was not a positive experience trying to get in touch with their support. It has been positive up until about a week ago.

An EmPower Solar consultant came by the house. We discussed the possibilities of different solar systems along with the pros and cons. They developed a blueprint. They gave me information, like a packet with the recovery cost, upfront cost, pay back and rate of return. They installed the solar panels on top of the roof. Now I currently monitor the solar panels. I reached out to them a couple of times and they were very receptive and I highly recommend them. I've seen considerable amount of savings since being with them. Took about seven years to break even and now I make $1,500 a year.

My Dad is 88 and had just came out of a hospital stay when Brandyn Bailey from Empower Solar came knocking at our door. I told him we hadn't the roof to sustain panels. No problem he said as they can sub-contract out and bill us the price of a 18,000 or so roof. I was also told the panels would be free because there is a 20K Government Tax credit we would get after installing their panels and with the power credits we would most likely receive, even the roof payment would be much lower if at all. Now that’s a great deal! I was on board! My Dad was ok with it but very weak. He came long enough for Brandyn to show him some screenshots of data but my dad is very hard of hearing and still not feeling well so I was left me with Brandyn.

EmPower was on top of everything from the very beginning, reminding us about documents or information that we needed to get them, all the way through to the turning on of the system. They worked well on permits. They updated us about delays with the powerwalls that we had installed. They followed up when they didn't need to. I was impressed with the installation team. I went out there to ask them questions and they spent 10 minutes explaining things to me. I ended up going to get them lunch because they were so friendly and professional.
