Horrible company—do not use BlueRaven/SunPower for your solar! The pushy salesperson made big promises of a quick and easy install in time for the tax credit when we signed in July 2025. Months into the arduous process, we find out they don't even have installers in our state, and it'd be weeks to schedule. It's now December 2025, and after months of calling them daily to get them to submit the right permits and take the right steps, we finally have a solar system, only to have issues with it right away. It's a shady business, and you will not talk to the same person twice, so good luck with any accountability. We've had to call several times for even a simple copy of the receipt from them, with no luck. DO install solar, DON'T use BlueRaven!

Yuck! Poor communication. Sales people who only care about cash. Company initiates installation changes as the install is happening without letting customer know they changed items on the permit due to supply chain issues - which they should have known about since it was only a three week period between submission and install. Consumer finds out only after they call to see when inspections can begin to be set up only to find out permit has to be redone to reflect the new changes. This is not what I expected nor what I was told. These solar companies seem sketchy at best.

Changes made during installation, especially those requiring an as-built permit revision, should be clearly communicated ahead of time. That is not the level of transparency we aim to provide. At this time, the revision application has been submitted to the local AHJ and is currently marked In Review, with a due date of 1/12. We are actively monitoring the status and will follow up with the AHJ as needed to help move the review process forward. The crew was professional and proficient. They arrived in the timeframe scheduled and stayed on task. They did an excellent job explaining everything. They did a precise job cutting and shaping materials to protect the equipment and did a nice job of sealing. They made certain that the time without power was as minimal as possible. The crew was great to not make small glitches in logistics my problem. The cleanup was even better than when they started. They were very respectful of property and schedule, especially being mindful of the needs of my Tibetan mastiffs.

The install team members were some of the most polite workers we have had at our house yet! They worked fast and were very respectful! They took their shoes off (without being asked) and carried them upstairs just to put them back on to go into the attic. They were respectful of our sleeping baby and were just all around great to work with! They showed me everything I needed to do once the panels are turned on and made sure I understood everything before they left. Very professional, polite and efficient crew!

Overall super happy with the process! Crews installed in one day even with snow all over the roof and freezing cold temps. One guy stayed late finishing everything up too. We didn’t get a lot of communication at the end of the day, so we weren’t sure if it was all finalized when the last guy left. The vacuumed insulation from inside attic access. They did leave the insulation on the garage floor, though. And they forgot to pick up some wrappers and extra parts on our deck. But very happy otherwise!

I wanted to take a moment to share my experience with the solar system installation project at my home. From the very beginning, everything was explained to me in a way that was clear and easy to understand. I appreciated how thoroughly the product itself was described, including how the system connects with the electric company and how billing will work once it’s up and running. The rebate program was also explained, along with the important note that it will no longer be available after 2026.
The contract covered all the key details, including the system cost and the 30% Federal Tax Credit, which is a great benefit. I was also given a realistic timeline for each stage of the project:
• 1–2 weeks for the site survey• 1–2 weeks for design and approval
• 1–6 weeks (or longer) for permit submission and approval
• 1–6 weeks for installation, inspection, and interconnection
Having this timeline helped me know what to expect, and inspections were set up smoothly along the way. I want to highlight how professional and courteous the workers were. They performed their tasks in a timely manner, and I especially appreciated when the crew leaders took the time to explain what they were going to do in plain, straightforward language. That gave me confidence and peace of mind throughout the process.
Since this is a project that can take several months, communication was very important to me. I was impressed with the call center staff — if they didn’t have an answer right away, they made sure to find it and call me back promptly. That level of follow-through really stood out. Overall, I’ve been very pleased with the professionalism, clarity, and respect shown by everyone involved. This experience has left me feeling confident in the system and grateful for the team that made it happen.

They were great to work with. Our salesperson was Garret **. He was very knowledgeable, patient and I truly feel he had our best interest in mind, we never felt pressured. The process to get permits was handled completely by them and was very fast as we faced a deadline. The installation was a breeze. It took approximately 6 hours for 12 panels and all the electrical work which proved to be challenging due to the age and construction of our home. They cleaned up and left our property as if they were not here. I would 100% recommend Blue Raven and Garret **.

Experience was positive after a few cancellations owing to weather and other explanations. Once begun, I preferred an alternative wiring plan from my attic to the control panel, and the Blue Star electrician approved it--very positive response to my satisfaction. The workers kept to themselves but we offered relief from the cold weather. Rain cancelled the first day, so a return visit in a few days was required. Very smooth operation overall.

The installers were friendly, on time and efficient. They completed the install in one day, which was appreciated. They mostly cleaned up after themselves, except for a few small pieces of wire & trash. Overall, I am very happy with the install.

I have to say I was very satisfied with the job they did. The weather was not on their side but they worked hard in during heavy on the second day and on the 3rd day. It was very cold and windy but they persevered and got the job done. They were very friendly and professional. Great service.

Time, at the start of my project dragged on. Communication was needed, then things began to move. Once permits were secured, things moved quickly and smoothly as promised. 1 day inspection, 1 day of installation, and now I’m waiting for final inspection. Excellent placement of solar panels and conduit. Very good workmanship. Excellent cleanup.

I initially contracted Blue Raven in August of 2025. My initial contact with the selling agent was pleasant and very accommodating, I was promised that he would be there every step of the way, start to finish, he was, for the installation, after that, crickets. I have contacted the sales agent on when the work would be completed, no response, other questions no response! The panels are up with some discrepancies noted by the city inspector not yet corrected. I have three homes that they did and all of them the same thing, nothing to complete anything and it is now the 23 of October, not even return call from the selling agent. I suppose they see me as a piggy bank, they'll finish when they want their money, not before. In the interim I'm concerned about the end of the incentive program at the end of December, I would NOT recommend Blue Raven to my worst enemy!

After you pay them, they will never come back. My system has been down over 4 months and they won’t even call me back. Don’t use them. I told 2 friends to call someone else, they lost a lot of business. I reported them to the BBB.

On September 8 and 9 2025 our solar panels were installed, great crew and a real good job. Then one of the crew members (Jose) told us that the next day or maybe one day later somebody from Blue Raven would contact us for the final phase namely inspections and after that we could start using the system. That is 5 weeks ago, we were never called at all. I called several time, did send e mails and received ticket numbers but no response. September 29 I called and again I heard the work orders is in progress. On October 2 I called again (because they did not call me back) and again I was told that somebody would call me back and surprise!, Mr. ** from work orders called me that afternoon.
Mr. ** told me that he had taken over this case and he would call me back the next day, what never happened. On October 8 I did send another e-mail to Blue Raven work orders, inspection and customer service, received an automatic e mail with a ticket number and you guess it by now: no response. One advice from me to you (the future customer,) please do yourself a favor and find another company, blue raven is really not worth spending one minute of your time, really an unreliable company. I will update this story within a month to keep everybody informed. Rudi.

Blue Raven has offered nothing but false promises from the beginning of this experience. Within the first few months of being promised a monthly reimbursement check, they failed to send out checks due to an "accounting issue," as they mentioned. After finally beginning to send out those checks, they most recently sent out a check that bounced. I complained about the issue, and they sent out another check that bounced too! I am still waiting on a reissue of that check months later, without ANY communication from the company (even though they told me multiple times that someone would be in touch). This has been a regrettable experience to say the least.

I'm writing this review to share my frustrating experience with Blue Raven Solar. I was promised a payment of $1,620.00 as compensation for my first 18 months of solar payments, a deal we had in writing. The payment was due over a year ago, on August 12, 2024. Despite countless phone calls and emails over the past 12 months, the money never came. Every time I called, I was met with delays and excuses. I even sent a formal demand email on August 7, 2025, telling them I'd take legal action if they didn't pay by August 21, 2025. They ignored that, too.
Because of their failure to follow through, I'm now forced to take them to small claims court. I've also filed complaints with the Colorado Attorney General's Office and the Better Business Bureau. This company does not honor its commitments. I strongly advise you to be cautious if you're considering doing business with them.

Updated on 09/29/2025: I actually got a reply from the company. A lot of nonsense about the "accounting" dept....with the usual "we are working on it" 10 days later....crickets. No call, no email, and of course no refund. In fact, no response whatsoever. So....can I give them zero stars?
Original Review: Had to get my solar panels removed after a hailstorm. Paid the 50% deposit upfront but just could not get them to get the job done. Finally on 8/20 I demanded a refund and got approved. A dozen phone calls later I'm still waiting. I get some very pleasant and helpful offshore service desk but when they try to get any information, they put me on hold for 15 minutes and come back and tell me no one is responding. NEVER get a call back from anyone. They just don't seem to care. Wish I had never used them. Next call is to my attorney.... Time to take legal action.

Updated on 01/19/2026: Update: it is now January 19th. This has been going on since the beginning of August, we have been lied to repeatedly and as recently as last week. Our sales guy said that our project had been terminated what a relief, nope just kidding today we are too far down the road for that. They hired a 3rd party to install the system, and they punched holes in our roof causing us to have a leak. Our roof was only 5 years old before they ruined it, now they have rejected our roofers estimate for repairs while our roof is still leaking. Never have we heard from anyone in management nor have they done anything to rectify the issue of the system not being on. I'm quite sure it doesn't work.
OHH READ THE FINE PRINT ON THE CONTRACT. IT SAYS IF YOU WANT TO SUE THEM YOU HAVE TO DO IT IN UTAH. WHAT KIND OF CRAPTASTIC COMPANY DOES THAT. I would stay away from this outfit at all costs, this has been a nightmare. We have filed complaints after complaint with BBB and now the Attorney Generals Office in hope of some sort of resolution from this people.
Updated on 09/30/2025: Still not impressed, here we are 17 days later with no progress or updates on our system. Corporate told me they would call me back. Never heard from them, I had to call again yesterday. Considering billing for my time as I shouldn't have to make these calls at all, the reimbursement they spoke of we haven't received it yet. They don't know what customer service is and they certainly don't live up to their word.
Original Review: We were very excited to go solar; everything was going great. Communication was thorough and things were moving well. Once the panels were installed that's where things started to go sideways, they scheduled an inspector for Friday 8/1/25. He never showed and neither did they, my wife burned a whole day off work. They rescheduled for the following Monday 8/4/25. Inspection passed; next steps get the energy company out to install the meter. Then on 8/20/25 they sent us an interconnection agreement which we signed right away (these texts come over and say things like if you don't sign this our holding up the process). Then 15 days later we get another text with the same thing. Another interconnection agreement. 9/4/25 Mind you they say it takes 30 days from the time this is signed for the meter to be installed.
The sales guy says he is working on it but doesn't answer phone calls. He will only respond to a text message and only responds with, "I'm working on it." He originally told us at the sales pitch we would not pay a payment until 3 months after our system was powered up, well he lied. We just paid our first payment today and we still don't have a meter. 'Cause we are exceptionally mad about this we decided to call the power company ourselves. Guess what? They have no recollection of us going to net metering, I have had to call the finance company today and see if we can postpone payments and call Blue Raven themselves to see if they can step in. Also hard to use the referral program if you wouldn't refer the company to your worst enemy. Would have loved to leave a much better review about this process as we were so excited to get this done.

Terrible. I called 9 times. No one will call back. They lost 2 other people that want solar. Mine is down for 2 months and they can't come out for another 3 weeks. Wish I didn't go with Blue Raven. Filing complaint with BBB. NEXT STEP IS A LAW SUIT.

When I purchased the system, it was represented as sized to 105% of my usage. Based on that, I reasonably expected at least 3–4 months each year with a $0 PGE bill. That has not occurred. In addition, while you are currently reimbursing my monthly solar payments, those payments were rolled into the financed loan, which means I am effectively being reimbursed with my own borrowed funds while still accruing interest.
Below is a same-month, year-over-year comparison. For 2025, I show the utility bill plus the solar loan payment to reflect my actual out-of-pocket cost.

What this shows. Despite substantially lower grid consumption (~55%), my total cost is higher by $155.19 over the same three months. I have not had a $0 PGE bill in these peak-production months, contrary to the 105% expectation.
Hi Joseph, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. Your proposal was prepared based on an estimated annual consumption of 10,541 kWh. In response, we designed a system with an estimated annual production of 11,045 kWh, resulting in a projected 105% utility offset. This proposal, along with your Home Improvement Contract, was reviewed and signed by you.
As outlined in the contract, factors outside of our control—such as changes in usage, utility rate adjustments, and weather conditions—may affect actual offset, which is why the 105% offset is presented as an estimate. However, the contract also specifies that we guarantee the system’s production within our calculated estimates. According to your Enphase reports, your system has consistently performed within those estimates and has, at times, exceeded expectations. If you are able to provide your usage data from the past six months, our Retrofit Team would be glad to review it and discuss potential options to further improve your utility offset.
