Why can't I find vitamin easily? Why abandon alpha numeric stockin' and sectionalizing Vitamins? I have extreme difficulty finding the Vitamins I am looking for. D**b, d**b, d**b! I noticed others are using the "Biblical system," seek and perhaps ye shall find!

I went into the Walmart pharmacy to get my prescription filled as I have for the previous 5 months. I handed the lady my prescription, she looked at it and said they cannot fill it because it was not from that town. I recently moved from Largo, FL up to Crawfordville, FL in February 2010. I told her they had filled it since March. She said they have a new policy; they will not fill any prescription that isn't from a local doctor. My doctor that I've been seeing for the past 12 years is located in Okeechobee, FL. He has been the only doctor that has been able to help me and I was fortunate to find him.
She then said, “We especially won't fill any prescription from South Florida.” I've been unemployed since January 2010, lost my house in Largo, FL. I don't have the luxury of health insurance anymore. And she told me I need to use a "local doctor". I felt very discriminated against. This just says to me I can't pick my own doctor in any town I want and save money on prescriptions that I can't afford anyway. Thank goodness CVS didn't have the same ridiculous policy even though it costs more. Walmart, in my opinion, is trying to create a monopoly for doctors in Crawfordville, FL which is just wrong.

I live a couple blocks from this pharmacy. I spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars in medication every month, but I am getting so upset with the poor customer service this pharmacy has. Every time when someone comes to drop off a prescription, you can stand waiting and waiting in front of the technician at the window. And if they are doing something on the computer or doing something else, they will ignore you and they will not greet the person by saying hello or hi to you; they will not even say, "I will be right with you." I think that for a place like this, they should have better, courteous personnel. The clerks at pick up end, they are really nice; but the pharmacy techs have no customer service at all.
The other day, I dropped off a prescription that should be charge to a workers’ comp case. They told me that workers comp would not pay for it, so I told them to run it thru my insurance. They did and I end up paying for the co-pay. They told me they were going to run again after it was approved by the case worker and that I should get a refund after workers comp pays for it. Three days later, I talked to the case worker and she told me that she has approved some medication for Walmart pharmacy. I went back to the pharmacy and I spoke with a tech. She told me that I never paid nothing for that medication. That really bothered me because basically she was calling me a liar. I went home and I brought back proof that I had paid for the medication. She still insisted that I never paid for it. Then she went to her computer and she tried to tell me that I picked up some other medication that day. I told her, “No.” That was the only medication I picked up and there was another regular medication that was filled that day (07/31/10) along with the pain medication, but I only pick up the pain medication.
My regular medication just had pick it up that day (08/06/10), after 1/2 hour prior to all this. I told her, “I just picked up my other meds about 1/2 hour ago and I can bring you the receipt.” She insisted this was the meds I had picked up a few days before. I end up leaving the pharmacy very upset with no refund and the worst part that really upset me was that she basically said I was a liar.

It takes a lot for me to take the time to write and make a complaint but I have just had it with your service, it's the worst.
The Wal-Mart Pharmacy's in general have a very bad track record of screwing up my orders for a long time now. I drive an extra 10 miles to the Pharmacy on Truxel Rd in Natomas, CA just because they seemed to be the only Wal-Mart Pharmacy that could get my orders correct. Now, Donna, the girl who ran that Pharmacy, has left and this Pharmacy has become a mess like all the other ones.
I have been a customer of your Pharmacy for over 10 years spending at least $ 300.00 a month out of my pocket since I have no insurance. My prescription for ** is a life threatening order and can not be missed due to a Liver Transplant in 1997. I truly don't trust your facilities at all, I can never trust that I can put in an order and it will be there. I can't tell you how many times I have gone to pick up my order and it was not ready, even days after placing it and no phone calls to tell me there is a problem. None at all.
This time, I called in my **. I told them they had to transfer the Prescription from the Huntington Beach, Walmart. The girl on the phone looked it up, found it and said it was done, then asked if I wanted generic and I said yes. She said they had to order it and it would take an extra day, I said fine. 3 days later, I go into your Pharmacy and they told me my doctor had not approved the order. My prescription still had one refill on it. Then I asked what Doctor denied the refill and they sent it to my General Doctor not the Transplant Center Doctor. I told them this and then they said they didn't have the information for the Transplant Center. I have been going to this same pharmacy for over 10 years and gotten all of my ** from there and they don't know my Doctors information. Well you did at some point, you have lost it then?
In the meantime, I am totally out. They still don't have approval. I told them there is still one refill left on the old one and now they tell me on a Friday, it will be Monday before the order can be ready. I am out of a life threatening medication, I can't wait for Monday! I told the guy behind the counter he needs to give me at least 6 pills to hold me until Monday and he didn't even speak to me. He kept doing things on the computer and ignoring me until about 5 minutes later he gives me 6 pills after I mentioned it 3 times to him.
I seriously doubt that my prescription will be ready when I come in on Monday. If there is a problem, no one will call and I will drive nearly 20 miles for nothing as I have done in the past. Sure I will call first now but your people are total **. I am sorry to use that kind of language but it's a fact. I have had this kind of problem at almost every Wal-Mart Pharmacy I have been to, even had one give me my order of 60 pills that only had 30 pills in the bottle but was charged full price.

I went in to the store on Friday, July 23. to pick up a refill prescription that I had called in. The woman running the register couldn't find the refill. I asked if there was a problem and I was presented with 2 duplicate receipts from prescriptions I had picked up on July 12 and July 16. They claimed that I had not paid for the 2 prescriptions. I was stunned and asked them how that could possibly happen when they were run through the register with my weekly grocery purchases. The woman said, "Well, sometimes the cashiers fail to scan the prescriptions." I asked her how that makes the error my fault.
Then she tells me they have a report that shows I walked out without paying and asked me to pay her. I told her that I believed I did pay and wouldn't pay for them again because of their mistake. She told me to look for my receipt to prove I had paid. I don't normally keep weekly grocery receipts and I told her that. The pharmacist in the back was mouthing off the entire time and the cashier finally told her I would look for my receipts and call back. I was forced to pay for latest prescription at the pharmacy. I walked away humiliated and was crying by the time I reached the door.
I brooded over the mistake all weekend and went in on Monday to try and straighten things out. I was treated like a common criminal the entire time I was there. I asked for a copy of the report and they refused. I asked to see it and they refused. They finally admitted that the report is just a print out of everyone that picked up a prescription! I asked to speak with the supervising pharmacist and I was told she wouldn't be in until the next day. I asked that she be called to come in and speak with me and the woman got in my face and said, "She won't be in until tomorrow! "
I handed her a print out from the Alabama Board of Pharmacy that states a supervising pharmacist must be on site or able to be there in no more than 30 minutes. That made the entire group mad. I finally just asked for my total and wrote a check and told them I wouldn't be back. The cashier stapled my receipt to the duplicate receipts of my prescriptions. I asked her if I walked out if it would show up on the report that I had not paid. She sarcastically said in front of everyone, "It's just two little pieces of paper!". I asked her to just answer me and she finally said no, it wouldn't show on the report.
I did speak to the store manager and he couldn't have cared less. He said his hands were tied as far as the pharmacy. I was so angry and humiliated that I just left the store. They didn't care that they had slandered me, falsely accused me with no proof, and caused me to pay twice for 2 prescriptions. I am a widow raising a disabled son. My prescriptions have to be purchased along with groceries to remain within budget. I had to make an extra trip to the store to try and reconcile the problem. Paying twice for prescriptions has caused an economic hardship. I just don't understand how they can be allowed to do that.

On 07/18/2010, I had medication filled, pain meds and medicine for my stomach. I had heard that Wal-Mart would not give all the meds to you to count them before you left the store. Well, they are right. They gave me 10 pills when I was supposed to get 20 and yes they were of the pain pills. So calling anybody does no good at all their fingers do not work, maybe that's why they cannot count. They cannot use the buttons on the phone either it is ** that I am writing this and I still have not heard from Walmart. Even though I am in pain, there is a happy camper in Wal-Mart somewhere. Wal-Mart you suck. I tell everybody about this so they can count their meds. I put it on Facebook so many have been cheated out of there meds. Shame on you Wal-Mart.

I have Medicaid medically needy which means each month I must submit my unpaid medicines document to DCF. In order to receive the document from the pharmacy, I bring my driver's license, I have to go there in person because my signature is also needed. On my first attempt on 7-1-10, all of my medications were not on the report. So after explaining the error to the tech, I was told I would have to call on the next day to rectify error. I called in 6 Rx's to be refilled not 5, called back on 7-2-10 thinking I had given them time enough
I returned to pick up the report. This time they could not pull it up in the system but finally with the assistance from another tech it came up. Before leaving, I double checked to make sure everything was correct and pointed out two refills were not on the list. They said I had no more refills on my ** which appeared on unsold Rx's dated 7-1-10 or **. I never picked them up, I was assured they would all be ready for pickup on 7-6-10.
I proceeded to follow DCF's instructions. Unfortunately, there was yet another delay which was just rectified on Friday 7-23-10 by my going back to Walmart Pharmacy for yet another printout which did not have the 2 missing Rx's on it again and took to DCF. They apologized for the mix up, assured me everything would be cleared and ready for pickup on the following day which is today 7-24-10.
All of this time, I have been without my medications. I am feeling horrible, unable to sleep, mood swings bad, just bad. Then this morning, I checked the computer. Medicaid is open and I called just to make sure they were ready. After numerous rings at 10 am, I was told system was down but my medications were ready. But when I inquired about the missing refills, I was told to call back in 30 minutes. I dozed off and did not wake up till 1pm. I called, there was no answer, called again.
There was a lunch message on answering machine. I called back after 2 and then I was told system is still down and it was not her fault. I am extremely upset. No solutions were offered. I asked when did she think they would be up. My daughter seeing how much I am suffering took the phone and asked to speak to a supervisor in hopes to rectify the situation. She was on hold for 38 minutes, then she hung up feeling my frustration also.

In all, three errors were made after I had my daughter's and my prescription transferred to the Walmart. My prescription clearly stated 20 mg of **. But their staff instructed me to cut the tablet in half even though each tablet is 20 mg. On that same day, once I received this prescription and another, they both are labeled under my 12-year old daughter's name, not mine.
About 1-2 weeks later, I handed in a prescription for my daughter which is to calm her stomach problem. The doctor clearly told us, 1 tablet before bedtime, and it reads the same on the prescription. Upon receiving this medication, the pharmacist informed us to take 2 tablets daily. I corrected him, and after he verifies, replies, "Oh, you're right." This was the last straw, and I went back to our safer place of business: Shoppers Drug Mart.

My doctor called in a prescription for me at 10:30AM, and was told that it would be ready in one hour. I arrived at Wal-Mart at 1PM and was told that it was not ready and it would be about another half hour. Of course, I was a little upset. I hung around for another hour and went to the pharmacy to pick up my prescription and was told that it still wasn't ready and it would be a few more minute. Needless to say, I left pissed off.
There is no need of making a customer wait almost two and a half hours for a medicine to be filled when they said one hour. This happens a lot and not just with me. Another complaint is the customers smoking in front of the main doors where you go in. There is a state law saying that they have to be so many feet away from the doors. Some people don't care. Animals are brought in the store often. People say that they are service animals. I feel that they should show proof because I and others have seen dogs and cats in the store with regular collar and leash. There is food in the store and if they are not service animals, they should not be in there.

This is the second experience I have had with this pharmacy. This one was serious enough to report to the FDA. I, for the second time, was given a quote of $4.68 for my daughter’s asthma inhaler. I dropped it off to be filled. It was to be dispensed for two inhalers. When my husband arrived to pick them up, he was quoted $84.00$! I work in healthcare so he called me. I spoke to the pharmacist who first tried to blame it on the new staff. When I told her that I spoke to the same staff member 4 weeks prior, she then used the reason that the cost was $4.68 a gram! Really? I have never heard of dispensing an asthma inhaler by grams. They are dispensed by units! Well, Walmart, you have done it again, ripping off customers!

On 7/13/10 at 3:30 pm, I turned in a prescription to be filled for my son. The prescription is a premixed oral antibiotic rinse. I was told it would take 30 minutes. I came back and waited in line again. The lady yelled at me that it wasn't done and told me it would take 15 minutes more. I came back 15 minutes later and waited in line an extra 15 minutes, only to be barked at again that it wasn't ready. The pharmacist decides to fill mine, finally. When the counter lady gave it to me, she didn't run my insurance and told me that the prescription was cheap enough and she wasn't running it. My children have state aide that I pay a monthly premium for (not free). She refused twice to run the insurance.
I started to make a scene about it and just then, 3 other customers came back that she had done the same thing to. Finally, she decided that she would run my insurance and my son's prescription was free! They are discriminating against their customers based on what insurance they have! I hope this is not a common practice at all Walmarts. Paola, KS Walmart needs their pharmacy investigated for customer discrimination and needs new employees with a lot better attitudes. It's sad that we live in a very small community and Walmart is our only major corporate store and this is how they treat their customers. I am very sad and I am not the only one.

At 8 am, I called in a refill and went to pick it up at 2:30 pm. I was told it wasn't ready but in the process; they would announce when ready. I sat and waited for 20 min and thought I might have missed it and waited in line. (There's always a line!) And when I got to desk, I was told it was in the process of fill. I wandered around for 15 min, didn't hear my name, so I went to the desk.
After 15 min (waiting in line), I was told that it's almost done. By now, I was furious and was going to leave, but it was a prescription for someone else. So I waited in car, fuming. I have never had a good experience at a Walmart pharmacy and would never use one. I told the family I would never pick one up for them if it's at that pharmacy. Don't ever use a Walmart pharmacy!

This pharmacy is having difficulty processing my wife's medication prescription. Our insurance hasn't decided on coverage, yet my wife still needs her medication. So we pay out-of-pocket and when I say that, the idiots will not process the prescription or will delay for as long as three days. Because of this, my wife has gone at least a week without her medication. This has been going on for the last three months and they still don't get it.
My wife is high risk pregnant and is taking the required medication as prescribed by her doctor. The pharmacy is continually dragging its feet on refilling my wife's prescription causing her to go as long as a week without her medication. Its aggravating and causing undue stress and strain to my wife's delicate condition.

I changed my prescriptions from CVS to Walmart about six months ago to save some money. Since there are several (7), I try to get them filled at the same time. Every single time, there has been something wrong. Either they are not all ready, they have run out of the medication, or they only have the medication in blister packs. And today (which broke the camel's back), they couldn't find one of my medicines in their system. Even though three months ago, they refilled it and I showed them their bottle! They said that I would have to call the doctor and get another sent. Needless to say, I did call the doctor.
However, I told them to transfer all my prescriptions back to CVS! Walmart pharmacy is a joke and I have had enough of the customer no service! Get this, in less than an hour, CVS called me and said that they had received my prescriptions from the doctor and asked what I was out of and how could they help me! Now, that is customer service! I learned a valuable lesson about customer service: "The bitter taste of customer 'no service' lingers much longer than the sweet taste of a cheap price!"

On 4-19-10, My daughter went to Walmart to fill a script for ** 1G while I was in the hospital. They did not have it but, they said that the policy was to fill scripts generically but if that was not available to fill it with the name brand at the same price. They refused to do this and I had to return the next day for the generic. I had been sick with shingles since the 12 of April, but only confirmed on the 4-19-10. My daughter returned to the hospital and was given a script for another anti-viral. This didn't work well at all. As of July 8, I am still suffering with shingles. And I believe that if I had gotten the script that I needed at the right time, my case of shingles would not be so bad.

Physician's Mutual says I need to get the money back from Walmart and they say contact the insurance company. Walmart got the money twice so I would like my money back. With Wal-Mart having the deals on prescriptions, they sure lack the ability to hire the appreciate people behind the counter at the South Point Store. I went in to get my medication filled and of course got the run around yet again. The male pharmacist at that time was rude in answering me. When I got home I thought I should have got his name and called to obtain that. He told me the person that answered it was none of my business and I told them it was. He called me back and told me that I didn't need his name and for me to never come into that store again. I reminded him that he has to give his name for he is the very one that keep us alive. I realize these pharmacists go to school almost as long as a doctor but if they choose to play doctor, then they should have done just that. They can not trump my script just because of a bad day and then call me to tell me not to return.
I called the store manager who told me that they had no control over what the pharmacy did or does. A lot of help there! He also couldn't tell me who did! Why not? I can't recall this pharmacist’s name but I'm sure it's on my records there of which I could point out directly. I found it on the initials of course and went to the Wal-Mart to check his plaque that I'm sure he forgot was over his head. He must have forgotten to obey his oath in order to get his degree to begin with. Some manner of keeping people alive!
I went about a year before doing anymore business with them. I will only go there when money forces me to. I yet again had to go there for two prescriptions that were way too much for me to get elsewhere or believe me I would have. At the rate of even Wal-Mart's cost I could only take half of it. I called for my refills which said I have 3 until 01-2011 and one went through fine, yet the other did not. I called and talked to them asking them what the situation was. It was for ** 150 mgs and the pharmacist that I was told to talk with had left for lunch. I was told to call back later. I did just that to find out that she had gone. I then was talking to another pharmacist. He (David) told me that Amanda was gone and that she put a stop on it, but there was nothing in on it that warranted that from the doctor and he wasn't sure why she done it.
Yet he couldn't fill it until he talked with her. Now, mind you, he was also a pharmacist. I was polite but this gets old and to have to do without medication, which I've had to do several times over and over isn't much of a pharmacy to begin with. Any pharmacist that closes a prescription down for the very refills on it without explanation should allow the other to fill it. Amanda should have at the least been required by law to put down the reason this was done. It can only be a mistake just as the pharmacist told me it appeared but he had to check with her first. Thank God I had one pill left when I called and I told him to get it right with her and call me tomorrow. I hope they do that but who knows, I may be told not to return again!
To be honest I don't know where these pharmacists come from or how much they are getting paid but this store at 1478 must be checked. They don't need warnings before someone does something; they need someone in plain clothes to watch how they deal with you. See how rude all the workers are and don't dare take anything in there for pain! You will be treated like a white trash drug pusher even though I have four ruptured vertebra into my spinal cord! I don't owe all my ailments to them. They just need to do their job! Period! Someone needs to get this checked before this pharmacy is sued and closed because if I go one more time and have any of the same situation to occur again, I will get in touch with the process through the State of Ohio to make a formal complaint that does more than allows me to vent on an online form! That I can promise everyone that reads this and to that store in general. I’m sick of this treatment! We are not dogs!
The first time I had to go through withdrawal it was so severe that it was almost a situation for the emergency room. I was taking a strong pain pill and muscle relaxers that was to be filled when it occurred. The second time was today, which is 06-22-2010! As I’ve stated of which drug it was and I did have one pill left. This is the very reason I don’t care for that pharmacy. It costs friendly but the staff are so ** up that they take peoples lives into their own hands. This must stop and I will testify to that for anyone, along with look up that pharmacy name that told me not to return and the date on it as well. It was less than one year ago!

My complaint is about an incident dated 11/17/09 during which a pharmacist, Brian K., employed at the Wal-Mart store located in Warminster, PA refused to give me a proper and courteous service. Instead, he and the security guard on duty subjected me to extreme insults and humiliation. When I approached the manager on duty, he crudely disregarded my request to have a joint meeting of all involved to resolve the problem. Instead, this manager sided with his employees and further joined them in their malicious assault. There have been two other incidences in which the same pharmacist had intimidated me in front of other people making the 11/17/09 incidence the third assault on me from him. Completely frustrated and depressed by the incident, I filed a written complaint with the Customer Relations Manager, Wal-Mart Corporate Offices on 11/22/09. A copy of my 11/22/09 complaint to Wal-Mart Corporate Office is herewith attached to describe the incidence in detail which I urge you to read first.
To this date Wal-Mart has given no written response to this complaint. Instead, between 11/17/09 and 12/17/09, the corporate office had two assistant managers, both from the Warminster store (and their names not recognized at the store), and a Marketing Manager, Mike **, call me. All these individuals refused to get a copy of my complaint filed at the corporate office. Instead, each insisted on me giving them my long verbal statement which I ended up giving to them over and over again. When I asked them how I would know the truthfulness or the accuracy of what they noted down as my statement, they ignored the question.
During all my verbal statements, the Wal-Mart managers repeated the same question, "Did you throw things at the pharmacist?" Each time, I told them that "I did not throw anything at the pharmacist. And that I only tried to pass on my prescription slips and my insurance card to him over the counter so he could call my insurance company to determine the co-pay for a drug". Even the police officer who the pharmacist called on me asked me the same question, and I gave him the same answer.
During my conversation with Mr. **, he sounded very biased in favor of his employees but he did offer to talk to them. Noticing his bias, I asked him to get the answers to the following specific questions I had: 1) What did I throw at the pharmacist so he had to call the police? 2) When both me and the pharmacist argued equally, and neither called names or became physical, what Wal-Mart-given right did the pharmacist have to call the police on me? 3) When the pharmacist threatened to call the police, I walked away from him saying that I was going to see the store manager. Therefore, if I was walking away from him, why did the pharmacist, or he and the store manager together, still call the police? 4) When I asked the store manager to resolve the dispute by having a joint meeting of all involved in his office, why did he have to make the crude remark "I am not taking you to my office!", as if I had committed some big crime? 5) Why has the security guard not been questioned by Wal-Mart about making the following insensitive remark to me when I was already walking out of the store, "You can't go out! You have been giving us a hard time. Now it is your turn!" considering that this guard did not know any part of my story?
Mr. ** called me on 12/18/09. He gave no answers to my questions as he promised. All he said was that he watched the video; and that he did not want his employees mistreated. He then added that I had the right to shop at Wal-Mart. What did he mean by his last patronizing but unhelpful statement? After several further calls to the Wal-Mart corporate customer service, Mr. Kevin **, the Wal-Mart Regional Director, called me on 1/20/09. Mr. ** also took verbal statement from me, and I again repeated my specific questions to which he said he will investigate and get back with me with the answers.
He called me on 1/26/09. He also said he watched the video but admitted that he only saw some paperwork being handed and saw nothing thrown at the pharmacist. As for my other questions, he only said he was sorry that arguments rose to that level of disruption. This sounded like covering up for his employees because all along the reason to call the police was "throwing things" and now Mr. ** suddenly changed it to "a disruption". I did not go to Wal-Mart to cause disruption. All I wanted was courtesy, like every one else, but instead all I got was intimidation and harassment by three Wal-Mart employees who ganged up on me and later corroborated by their superiors. Calling the police was malicious, uncalled for and discriminatory. The problem should have been resolved by a meeting as I had requested. I therefore asked Mr. ** to send me his final response in writing or I would proceed to seek legal help. However, since then, I have not received any response from Mr. **. or anyone else from Wal-Mart.
In the police report (a copy of which I only got in February), the pharmacist has asked the police officer to advise me that "I was no longer welcome at the store". This is a harassment combined with an utmost arrogance. Wal-Mart, amongst other things, must question the pharmacist as to who gave him the right to make a corporate decision of that magnitude! Also, Wal-Mart must be asked to retract its employees' action of calling the police, with a copy to me and stating that calling the police was a mistake and should not have been committed. This relief must be provided to me by Wal-Mart because a police record, even if benign, can harm or jeopardize my future financial and professional dealings with various organizations, and the proper considerations of my applications to these organizations.
It is evident from the series of events that took place that the three above-mentioned Wal-Mart employees, who were all white Caucasians, intimidated and harassed me because of the difference they saw in my national origin. Furthermore, their superiors showed a clear bias because they religiously took side of their employees and gave no due consideration to my concerns and welfare. These were acts of discrimination and there must be some legal compensation for which they must be held responsible. There is no way Wal-Mart can show that its employees treated a customer the way they did to provide a minor service, and that its managers acted the way they did to resolve a problem, when that customer was a white Caucasian, or even a person without a foreign accent.
In February of this year, after being denied any reasonable relief by Wal-Mart, I filed complaints with the Office of Attorney General of PA, and the FTC Bureau of Consumer Protection, but neither has taken any action so far. I now need help to know where and how else to file the complaint.

Both pharmacist was so rude to me that my wife couldn't believe that I was treated like that and why would they even talk to a customer that way especially a disabled one at that. I was so upset that I had to sit down and catch my breath. I have never been talked to that way. The pharmacist was so mad and I didn't know why. She was yelling at my doctor's assistant, Dianne. Dianne called me and ask me if I was okay. She said in all of her years working for the doctor, she has never been talked to that way by any pharmacy. I will get written complaints from Mrs. Dianne. She said this shouldn't ever happened when I was in the right and my prescription was legal.

I went elsewhere to get my medication, only to go back to Walmart, but nothing has still been resolved. Who do I believe? If it was an important person or a Walmart employee, would they get it faster? Does anybody care about their services or reputation, why can't anybody give a straight answer so that people on disability can find help elsewhere. Why advertise if you can't keep your promise?

I started using Walmart Pharmacy about five months ago and the 90% of this time, I have had to deal with the girl by the name of Tanisha. The rudest girl I have ever had to deal with. Two months ago, I picked my medicine up (muscle relaxer) to find out the next day that all were gone except for three (total of 60 count). My wife and I panicked thinking that somehow our three-year old son had gotten into them, only to find out after extensive search in the house that Walmart shorted me the prescription without letting me know. I called to complain that they should have told me. Of course, I get this same Tanisha girl that is rude to me once more.
Well, this past Saturday, I had the privilege of dealing with this rude girl again. She tried to tell me that insurance would not cover a prescription that I have been getting for the past five months. When I asked her if it was generic, she said no and I told her that that's why. She talked to the pharmacist and he said they would fix it. After waiting about 15 minutes, I ask her if she had any idea how much longer it would be because I had some things I needed to do, only to hear her respond, "I don't know. I'm not the one filling it." This type of person doesn't deserve job. I'm just tired of having to deal with this Tanisha and her rudeness and can solve the problem by going back to original pharmacy. I just had the stress of thinking that our three-year old son could have gotten hold of them and taken them to daycare.

I have experienced many problems with Walmart No. 3489 located in Rosedale, MD. The only reason I am writing is because I have left this store on three separate occasions crying and with good reasons. My problems started one day during the snowstorm this past winter. I could not have my prescriptions filled because I didn't have all my insurance information. This information could have been accessed through the computer. This was the least of my problems. I was changing insurance companies and most of my prescription refills had to be transferred from Medco, a mail order pharmacy. After dropping off one of the prescription bottles on a Friday afternoon, I was told by the pharmacist that transfers could not be done on weekends. He explained that it is too difficult to reach the appropriate people. So I returned on Monday going without my ** all weekend. In another time, I dropped off my bottle to be transferred and was told it would take 24 hours and it was store policy. I told the technician that I just got off the phone with the Medco Pharmacy and it would take less than five minutes for the entire transaction. He still refused to call.
Now comes the bad issues. The reason I decided to use Walmart for all my prescriptions is the price of one medicine. I take ** 20 mg q12hr for pain management. After calling all local pharmacies, Walmart had the best price at $354.36. (The prices ranged from $354.36 to close to $1000.) After talking with Ms. Sunny **, I was informed to make sure I drop off the prescription 7 to 10 days to order the medication. I dropped off my prescription for ** on March 9, 2010. Two weeks later, I returned to pick up my prescription. Sunny ** told me that it was ordered twice and still hasn't come in. I was out of the medication and no one bothered calling me.
Now I had to call everywhere locally to find my medication. Stamps and labels had to be removed from the original prescription. I drove frantically to Perry Hall to fill my medication. Ms. Sunny ** reassured me that the medication would be there next month. After picking up two medications on April 17, 2010, one being the **, the price was close to $500. I didn't bother to check the prices until I arrived home. I knew the ** was $354.36 and I assumed the other medication made up the difference. The price on the ** was $489.79 after my insurance was deducted. This could not be right. I was quoted the price at $354.36. I called Walmart-Towson No. 5344 and was quoted $354.36. I called Walmart- Nottingham No. 2045 and was quoted a price of $354.36 for ** 20 mg. no. 120. Two other stores were called with the quoted price of $354.36. I returned to Walmart No. 3489 to question the price. Ms. Sunny ** stated that was the old price, the old NDC number. The new price was $604.62. How can Walmart quote one price for a medication and then charge a customer almost double?
As you are well aware, ** is a medication that cannot be discontinued abruptly. If I knew the price was not the quoted price and if I knew I would have so many problems with Walmart's Pharmacy, I would have never crossed their threshold. I left the store several times in tears and upset. I really cannot recommend Walmart Pharmacy to my many friends and family at this time and will probably transfer all my medications once again.

This is not a specific incident. Since Walmart has cut back on all of its help, the pharmacy service has been bad. One tech dropped a whole lot of prescriptions on the floor. He just threw his hands up, and walked through them. The next time, we waited so long for our prescription, over an hour, and the pharmacist gave us the $4.00 prescription free. The fault is with Walmart, not with its people.
They have always been polite and responded quickly. Now, they are harried, and sometimes rude. Walmart is going to lose many more customers. I myself am going to Walgreens. I had been buying Bran cereal for a few months for $1.78. I went in a few days ago, and the price was "2 for $5.00," as if we wouldn't notice the $0.72 raise in price. I didn't buy it and went to Save-A-Lot. These big stores are just sending everyone back to the little mom and pop stores, as their prices are pretty much the same. After I got home, I read the information that came with it, opened the bottle, and took a pill. I then read the warnings on the bottle when I then realized this wasn't my prescription. It wasn't my name on the bottle, and it wasn't the same medicine.
I immediately called the pharmacy and told them what had happened. The woman I talked to simply said, "Oh, we've been looking for that bottle of pills!" She didn't seem the least bit concerned that I had just taken a pill that was prescribed for someone else. I asked to talk to a pharmacist, and I told him what had happened and told him what the medicine was. He told me it was safe for me and shouldn't hurt me.
I took it back the next day and talked to the pharmacy manager. I told him I was concerned that this would happen again, and I didn't want this happening to someone else. This could have been life-threatening. I really think they need to change their policies or be more strict with the way they fill the prescriptions. I was told they do an incredible amount of prescriptions each day and get overwhelmed at times. That is an excuse.
They need more help or something, so this doesn't happen again! I was lucky I suffered no ill effects from this medicine, but my concern is that this will happen to someone else who may not fare as well.

They told me that my order was out of refills and to speak with my doctor. I told them yes, I know. I was just at the doctor last week and was okay for another year. I had a ridiculous experience with Walmart Pharmacy today. I ordered a prescription on 02/26/2008, they said the medication is not available and it needs to be ordered. We said okay because I have to start my medication from 03/17/2010, otherwise I should have went to some other pharmacy. The ordered quantity was 15 injections; I have to take this injection everyday one from 3/17/2010, so I thought I have some time so I asked them to order the injection. On 03/12/2010, I went to the store to collect the medication (before that, I called about the order but very poor response over the phone). When I went to pick up the order, I received only 5 injections (1 box) instead of 15 (3 boxes), each box contains 5 injections. After coming home, I realized that there were only 5 injections.
The next day, I ran to the store and told the pharmacist that there should be 3 boxes, which contains 5 injections in each box. She told me, "I am so sorry, it is my mistake. I thought in one box it contains 15. I am going to order again. Please come and collect it within 2 to 3 days". That's where the problem started. They charged me for all 3 boxes. I have been going or calling the store almost everyday and inquiring about the order. Each day, they are telling some story. Meanwhile, I started the injection as I reached the date when I have to start and I started with the one box they gave me. That is sufficient for only 5 days. I explained her very clearly and she understood the situation and said "you will get it surely". I am visiting the store or calling everyday but the response was very poor.
The injections are running out and I went to the store to collect the medicine when only one injection left, I thought the order is ready. But I got panicked after hearing that they never ordered the medicine at all. Somehow it messed up. She apologized and said "definitely, we'll order today and within two days, you will get the order". I asked her about what should I do for the days I have to take the injection. She said, "I am sorry, that's it". It was on Friday and no pharmacy will get the injections until Monday, so irresponsible. Then I went to my doctor's office and explained the situation and my nurse gave me one sample injection for one day as she was 100% sure that I will get the order on Monday, today. I managed one day with the sample from my doctor's office.
When I called Monday morning, somebody picked up the phone and said "no, we did not receive the order yet" and asked me to call back at 2 o' clock. I called at 2 o' clock. Some other guy picked up the phone and said "no, we don't have that medicine yet". I got panicked and started running to some other pharmacies though I paid for the medicine and not received it as it is very important to me to take the dose everyday. I ran to some other pharmacy and asked them to transfer the prescription and they simply transferred.
After some time, some other person from the Walmart pharmacy called me and asked why I transferred the prescription. There is no communication between the employees. Then I said, "somebody from your store said it's not available so I transferred as I have to take the injection by 5:00PM". She said, "we do have the medicine". I got so angry and ran to the store.
There was nobody to talk about it. Standing there for about 15 minutes, finally somebody came and then transferred the prescription back and said "we need prior authorization from insurance". I explained him that I already got the prior authorization and I paid in full amount and not received the total order. He said, "no, my system is not accepting and I need prior authorization". I was literally crying about what to do as the time is reaching to take the medicine. Then I called my doctor's office, even my nurse tried to explain about the situation. He said the same about prior authorization, then she called the insurance to ask about prior authorization and they said we can't give the prior authorization as it's too early to refill.
Everything messed up. The manager is off on that day so there is no responsible person to take care of the patients. He said to call the manager but she is not picking up the phone. So ridiculous. The way they are talking is so irresponsible. Then I started shouting at the store "how can I get prior authorization (which I already got for the 15 quantity) in one hour from insurance for the one I already paid in full amount and submitted the prior authorization already?". I asked him, "can I talk to your manager?".
He said so careless that he/she was off. How could a pharmacy store run without a pharmacist? If one person is off, that means all patients have to wait until he/she comes? If it is a general item, it's okay. But pharmacy store should never run like this. What happens in emergency situation? Somewhat I am in the emergency situation.
After arguing for so much time, they gave me the medicine. It has almost killed my day. I started running from 1PM, it caused me so much mental pressure. They are literally playing with patients, so rude and reckless behavior. Almost 15 to 20 days I am roaming around the store. As a pharmacist, he can't even understand my seriousness. I should never go to Walmart again in my life. Also, I will tell as many people to avoid Walmart pharmacy. So please help me in giving a better lesson to them about not repeating this to other patients.

I called in a refill the day before my prescription expired. The system told me it was in stock and would be ready the next day. With the storms closing roads, taking out power and flooding my basement, I didn't have time to get the script until this evening. Before I drove out, I got a call from the pharmacy. The guy told me that they tried to fill the script today and couldn't because it was expired. They called my doctor who said I need to come in for a visit. I asked, "why are you filling it today?". He replied that it was out of stock. I asked why the system said it was in stock and got blown off? I asked, "Don't you call and tell people when something is out of stock?". A flat "no" was his reply.
This is the second incident of shadiness I've heard out of this place. A couple months ago, a friend fresh out of the hospital from a heart attack went to Hamilton Marketplace's Walmart and got screwed over. He went, dropped off his scripts and was told they'd be filled and ready at 6:30PM. When he returned at 6:30, he was told the pharmacy closes at 6:00PM, come back tomorrow. After 5-10 minutes of arguing to get his meds, they finally told him that they were out of stock and he'd have to come back after noon the next day. It then took him another 10 minutes of arguing to get his scripts back. All while turning red, blood pressure sky-high, less than 24 hours after a heart attack.
In closing, Walmart will tell you whatever they can to get your prescription in their hands, whether or not they actually have the medicines you need or not. Once they have your script, you are at their mercy unless you create a scene and make yourself look foolish.

The pharmacy was closed. It would open in half an hour. They closed the pharmacy? What? Is this some scheme to get people to wander around their store so they'll buy more? Walmart considers us to be two-dimensional stick-figures to be controlled. No way! I am not stupid, Walmart. That's outrageous.
He said their hours are posted and he pointed. I looked where he pointed and I saw nothing about closing on Sundays in the middle of the day. At no time did anyone tell me of these not-to-be-expected hours, not even the recording where I placed my order! Furthermore, who can be expected to be responsible for reading the store hours and remembering some *** thing like this? I don't live to remember to know about Walmart's *** procedures. I'm home right now. I'm pissed. I'm trying to decide if I should go back, ever. And it's raining. Who do they think they are that they can control people? I'm supposed to give up part of my Sunday to please Walmart? I do not live to give my time and money to Walmart.

They had to call his office for the renewals. I had to wait for my prescription. For days now, I have been back to the doctor again last March 8, 2010.
They were saying again that I have to wait for my prescription because they do not have a renewal on it (How?). They never give me a whole prescription and it was already renewed? They do not listen. While talking to the tech today, she could not listen to me because she was talking to someone else.

On Monday, March 1, 2010, I left a prescription to be refilled. They only had part of it, but they said that they would mail it to me by Wednesday. On Monday, March 8, I called to see what happened. I talked to Jason, the manager of the pharmacy, and told him the problem. I was a bit upset, and after a few exchanges of information, I asked him if there was any apology for the mistake. He said I didn't give him a chance to apologize. I told him that if they were really interested in the problem, an apology should be the first thing out of his mouth. He insisted that I didn't give him a chance, and he didn't have to take my abuse.
I asked him why I was not called to tell me why it wasn't mailed. He said that they should have called me. It seems that it's a $4.00 prescription, and they don't mail those, but as they didn't have the full amount, they would. I called the assistant manager of the store and asked her what the procedure is for dealing with a complaint. No real procedure for an apology first, it seems, but her attitude was far superior to Jason's. She would talk to him. I told her that I was going to make a complaint to corporate and also on Jason. She said okay to that.

We came back at 2:30, same, at 3pm still lined up. I went home without meds. This is stupid to close on this busy time in retail business for 30 years. I wouldn't dream of closing then. On Monday March 1st 2010, I placed an order for my 90-year old mother's prescriptions. I was told they would be ready at 3 pm. We arrived at the Walmart at 3:15 pm and stood in line for at least 20 minutes. When we arrived at the desk, we were told that the prescriptions were not ready and in fact, one they did not have in stock. We were told one of the prescriptions would be filled shortly, the other, we could possibly find another Walmart that could fill the prescription or we could come back tomorrow and stand in line and maybe they would have it.
I asked why we were not called earlier so we didn't make the trip to Walmart or could possibly filled the prescriptions some where else and we were told they were too busy filling prescriptions for winter Texans. My mother is not a winter Texan. This same thing has happened each and every time she goes to this pharmacy no matter what time of year. She gets the same two prescriptions and they never have one of the medications that is not common. She has attempted calling in days ahead of when she will pick up this medication and each time it is never ready! She and I were treated very rudely. I am in the process of setting up home delivery through her insurance but there is a turn around time and she will have to deal with this pharmacy until the prescriptions can be delivered to her home.

He said, “Yes, unless you want it on a insurance card.” I said I don't have insurance but my doctors was out of samples to see if this medication would be right for me. He said I better call my doctor because they don't give samples out. I said okay.
Then as I was getting ready to call my doctor I heard him say to another employee, “Can you believe this guy thinks we give out free samples here!? What does he think this place is?! Some people!”. He didn't realize I could hear him. I did not know how they were going to get billed. He was laughing and rolling his eyes. I just left. I don't have to deal with unprofessional people like this! I went to Walmart pharmacy, and the pharmacists are very, very rude and have no problem telling you that they are too busy, and they get busy there and things happen, such as they lost my prescriptions not one time but 5 times. On top of that, they give me ** that was not mine to begin with. I am allergic to the drug. I tried to give it back to them they said what are you trying to do, I said look I am allergic to this, and its not mine! Overlooking what I said, the clerk said well just give me the one pill back and you can have the rest of them, filling my prescriptions they charged me 5.00 for 3 prescriptions that were not mine! The second time called in to get my **, they said it was not on file.
But I went to the doctor 3 months ago it had to be there, then it was found, finally they filled it and gave me the wrong med again, well this is a life not a check out for food here. The 3rd time I called to get my ** filled, the pharmacist said oh yes we have it here, let me get it filled again. I told her I had enough of this ***, this is too many times to mess up. The pharmacist said well excuse me, but we are busy here and we do make mistakes. Well okay I understand that, but you are liable to filling the proper meds, she then hung up on me. They are trying to make me delay my meds, refusing to try and fill them, so I called her back, she said I am on the phone with the insurance company they are rejecting this med.
I said that cannot be, my insurance has not changed since the last time. I called in my other prescription to get filled which was a water pill, and it was not filled by them. They didn't have it, they said and that is a lie!! I asked the tech to write down what it was before I left. They lost my cholesterol meds 5 times. When they found them, they gave me the meds with a bottle that had a pill in it saying, no more until we contact your doctor with this. So with the ** and the wrong meds in the bottle, I decided not to do business with these people again. I called her back to remind her that she needs to do her job instead of complaining she is too busy.
She said what do you mean that is my job, I said best thing you can do is fill it then. So she said she was going to, but I had already called another pharmacy because I didn't know what these people were doing or trying to do with me. Giving me meds that I am allergic to, or pills with no name on it? I switched over to Walgreens and I am at ease now because I feel I can trust them with the meds and get them filled properly. These people at Walmart are very unorganized and very well better get their act together before they actually kill someone giving them wrong meds.

He did call me again and we met. This meeting, he told me that there is a law that prohibits WalMart to refund or take back any medicine. Meanwhile, he took the medicine and did not give it back. I am out the large sum of money, in this economy and I do not even have the merchandise I paid for!
I called him and asked him the regulation number of the law he was talking about and he said he would get it for me and let me know. I have heard nothing. I was prescribed a medication by my doctor for chronic pain. I was prescribed a nasal spray and the same in an injectable form. I had been on the nasal form for years, then the doctor added the injectable form. Walmart had no problem filling the prescription; I asked for the needles that went along with the meds, they sold me needles with an orange top. I didn't know one type of needle from another; needless to say I didn't ask any questions.
After about 6 months and about two or three refills later, I needed more needles. This time the needles had another colored top and I questioned it. Laura had a fit (very unprofessional) jumped down my throat and said she did not give me the wrong needles. She said I was given needles I asked for, not true. Well, I told her I hadn't requested any particular type since I knew nothing about needles. She got on the phone to my doctor and the next thing I knew I was off of the meds all together. It seems her talk to the doctor changed his mind about me needing it. I sort of fell out with the doctor.
I tried to file a complaint with Walmart to no avail, because they stand behind their employees. Laura said that the medicine was given to women going through labor. Everyone knows that medicine have multiple uses as seen fit by your doctor. I just don't understand how a pharmacist can practice medicine; offer advice, yes, but not override the doctor's plan of treatment. I know my doctor is at fault also for not having the gall to stand behind his medical course of action. Since then the doctor and I are at odds because my faith in him is destroyed.
I had been seeing this doctor since the early 90's. He has been knowing my medical situation and so, in my opinion was a very caring doctor. I left him and I went back months later (because new doctors want to try this and that) so I went back because through trial and error we had come to a course of treatment that worked for me; he then wrote a prescription for the same medicine. I took it to Walmart and the same pharmacist denied it again, this time she got on the phone and called every drugstore in my little town and advised them not to fill that prescription, thereby making me seem like a drug addict.
Due to all of this, the drugstores in my little town question me ways I have never been before. I am in deep depression, feeling like I am doomed to a life of lesser functionality and an unbearable quality of life. I am still in disbelief that a doctor could be so gutless. It makes me question everything about his treatment that went on for years. Was he doing something wrong all of those years? This is pure mental and physical agony for me because I still suffer from the same ailments that I had in the beginning. The pain is so bad that I think it will run me into a stroke. I just don't know what I am going to do, other that to die.

I went to pick up my Rx at Wal-mart a day later than it was supposed to be ready. There was only 1 of 3 ready. The girl very snippy said, "I just have one. You'll have to call the doctor." I said fine and called my doctor before leaving the store. I was told that my doctors office faxed all 3 of my Rx's on the same sheet. I then went back to the pharmacy to tell them. Gale who was very helpful, pulled the fax, and said, "Yes, 3 are here."
She loaded them in the computer and said it would be about 20 minutes. I asked to see the fax to double check my Rx's, because I had previous problems with mistakes at Walmart. One Rx was wrong from the doctor, so I again called the doctor's to have them correct it before the pharmacy filled it.
When I went back to pick up the 2 remaining medications an hour later (more than the 20 minutes I was told it would take), only one was ready. I came back to get the final medication the next date and was told that one is ready but the other is not. I said there should only be one. The same snippy girl as before said, "Well, I have 2, but they are the same medicine, just different strength."
I would think someone who works in a pharmacy would recognize that I would not need the same medicine twice and would have checked if there was an error. I explained to the girl about the fax and that 3 medications were to be filled together and that I have been there 3 times. I was not angry yet. I just wanted her to understand the situation.
She looked at me, rolled her eyes, and said, "I didn't do it." Then I was angry. I told her it didn't matter if she personally did it or not. It was a mistake, and as a customer service person, I think she should have looked in on my first visit instead of me having to make 3 trips and several calls to my doctor. Even if she did not do that, a simple "I'm sorry" would have made all the difference.
I wrote an email to Wal-mart, and all I got was a customer service survey back. I have never gotten an apology. I doubt if I use Wal-mart for my medications again. Mistakes can be deadly, and this employee seemed not to care at all.

This is the worst pharmacy in the entire country. They couldn’t care less about customer service and the manager is a total jerk. He has a pharmacy technician that is known locally as a junky and she works the front desk. The worst story I have to tell could have actually killed my roommate. My roomy is diabetic and is on injectable medication for his disease. Get this, he starts feeling weak and was out of his medication because he didn’t have the money to get his medication.
He was fading out pretty quickly so I loaned him the money and rushed him to Walmart to get his medication. Keep in mind this is injectable medication. So they filled his medication, and then to my amazement, they wouldn't sell him the syringes to inject the medication. We asked nicely and still they wouldn't give him the syringes. My friend began to get worse so I rushed him to the next town where we went to another Walmart, and they sold him the syringes no questions asked.
To beat it all, the junky that works as the pharmacy technician was the one that wouldn't sell him the syringes. A few weeks go by and I went down to a house in the projects to try and rescue an abused dog, and to my amazement, when I walked into this apartment, I see the same pharmacy technician about to inject cocaine into her arm with a syringe, most likely a syringe from Walmart. Please, nobody use this pharmacy anymore. The pharmacy workers are extremely rude and very unprofessional. Do not use the Radford Walmart pharmacy.

So I walked around Wal-mart, just wasting time and listening for my name. After an hour, I thought they must have just forgot to call my name.

When I went to the counter, the clerk told me they could only fill one as they could not find the other prescription. I told her I definitely gave the previous clerk 2 prescriptions. She asked me if I just wanted to take the first. I said no! I was asked to move over and wait another 15-20 minutes while they searched for my missing prescription. They finally found it.

On 02/10/2010, I filled a prescription from my spine pain management doctor for ** 15 mgs., 60 tabs, take one twice daily. When I got home with the prescription, I counted the tablets (AARP recommends this). There were only 50 tablets given to me. I had paid $34.45 for the 60 pills. The following morning, I went to the pharmacy with my prescription, and explained what had happened. I was told that was unfortunate. I asked if they had their own counts, that they could check this against, see if they were showing ten extra pills. This was done, and I was told that the count was exactly right. They had exactly the number of pills that they should have. I asked if there was someone that I could talk to with more authority. The pharmacist said no, there was no one else.
I asked what I should do, and was told there was nothing I could do. I told them that I understood that because this was a controlled substance, I could understand if they were suspicious, and was told no, not at all. The way the counts and re-counts were carefully done was explained to me. I said that it seemed then, that if I only received 50 pills and 60 were dispensed, that somewhere along the way, 10 pills were pocketed. The pharmacist said that the counts on this pain medication were so careful, that it was much more likely that the pills were stolen by someone in the pharmacy, than that the counts were wrong.
I said I understood, and believed that someone had indeed stolen ten pills from my prescription. This was agreed with. I asked if there was someone I could register a complaint with, was there a way to file a statement and get to the bottom of this, and I was told "no, I am sorry" I said this means that I see my doctor once each month for treatments, and prescriptions, but now I would run out of medication, before my next appointment, and that all comes down to several very painful days for me. Not to mention that I had paid for them. I was again told "sorry, nothing we can do" and so I left. I find this so upsetting.
I am now ten pills short, so the last 5 days of this month, while I wait for my next doctor's appointment, I am going to be in significant pain. I won't be able to function normally, nor will I be able to sleep due to back pain. I can call my doctor and explain what happened, and ask for him to prescribe ten extra pills for me, but this is embarrassing, and very distasteful, because it looks so suspicious, like drug seeking behavior, and I really resent being put in this position. Plus, it seems so wrong that the pharmacy wouldn't want to investigate who might be stealing narcotics there in their pharmacy amongst the employees.
And so, I need some help with this problem. Also I was charged for 60 pills, and only received 50. That is a minor consideration, compared to my anxiety about now being left in pain until my next appointment, with my doctor. I am also so distressed about the ethics of the pharmacy, not even seeming interested in helping me, or an investigation internally.

I approached the counter to pay for this medication and I observed, as I had observed for over two years, that there was again only one register open and a very long line of people waiting for desperately needed medications. Going to the unused register, I counted nine (9) people, besides the pharmacist doing pretty much nothing in the pharmacy area.
On expressing my disbelief that they were again lining people up like cattle, while Perfecto, the pharmacist, was being impervious to the customers' needs. My exchange of words with him ended with the pharmacist telling me that he would not fill my prescription. A subsequent attempt to get the prescription filled with the help of Hector, the store assistant manager, also failed even after Hector gave the pharmacist a direct order to fill it. And this pretty much defines the character and mentality of this Perfecto, allowing my justified criticism to affect his dispensing the drugs and affecting my well being and life.
There is absolutely no excuse for a professional person in his position to make such a stupid decision only because his pride was damaged. No argument is justification for this failure to dispense life-saving drugs, absolutely none. It is criminal neglect and dereliction of his professional duties. He cannot put his ego above people's lives. I could have died as a result of this decision. This is a criminal act of a demented old man whose usefulness as a contributing Walmart employee and professional pharmacist ended years ago.
It is with his total disregard for my life and his duty that I will pursue damages for myself and for who knows how many others he has either erroneously or purposefully affected with his disregard for customer care and reliability. To further complicate and amplify the negligence of their actions, I was sent to another Walmart store by Hector to get my medication.
The Boca Chica Pharmacy was supposed to transfer my doctor's prescription there, but would not, did not, saying they gave me back my prescription. This is not possible because it was called in and there was no written prescription. In any case, the almost as inept, demented old woman, pharmacist, Rosemary, at the Pine Island Road Walmart finally agreed to sell me the medication, at full uninsured price without a prescription.
And of course, she did not listen and gave me the wrong medication. All this further exhibits Walmart's negligence to the public, in general, and myself specifically for the life threatening experiences of this night.

The following day, I checked online and it showed not ordered. I phoned and was told by a tech that I had not ordered a refill but she would order it. I did this three times. Finally, I phoned the doctor's office and asked the nurse to phone in the prescription for me since they were obviously lying for some reason. She did. I then phoned Wal-Mart and was told that there was a "flag" on my mother's order and that I had been harassing them. Can you believe these people?
Needless to say, I wasn't pleased. Instead of giving them the attitude I received, however, I simply very quietly refused the prescription (all 6 of them) and left. I then phoned the nurse and had the prescriptions phoned into another Wal-Mart in a neighboring city. I have little doubt that they will turn out to be less than stellar - since that appears to be the norm for some of the people Wal-Mart hires - but I guess it's true that you get what you pay for. They do have some lesser expensive medications, but they pay for less than acceptable "professionals".

My prescription was filled at Walmart Pharmacy in Rockwall, Texas. On December 9, 2009, my prescription was filled and I began taking the medicine on December 14th after battling a cold.
On December 16, I had a terrible diarrhea and days after, began battling constipation. I took the prescribed medicine for seven days as instructed and on December 21st, began taking the dose twice a day. On December 21st, my wife refilled the prescription but was advised by the pharmacist that they had made a mistake by filling the wrong prescription.
The medicine wrongfully filled was ** 500mg, RX 7638085. The pharmacist advised by wife to immediately stop taking the ** and to consult my doctor if there are any problems. The pharmacist gave my wife the correct medicine, **, which at the present time, I have not been able to take due to constant constipation and abdominal pains.

I felt bad on Saturday after all the eating and found that I had no test strips for my meter (Freestyle Lite) which is around $50. I sent my wife to Wal-Mart. At this store, due to traffic, they ended up selling her $100 worth of stuff I have piles and piles of. Anyway, she fought through the traffic and came home with new pile of stuff for twice of what I needed and they were the wrong strips. Well, I burned two strips in wrong meter or wrong test strips, you tell me. Well, my condition got worse and I told her go to Walgreens to get things straight. I had it right but got wrong stuff from Wal-Mart. I'm sticking wrong strips into the wrong meter and they only took the wrong test strips back, all the traffic and heartache caused by Wal-Mart and loss money, never again.

I went in 12/21 after having an inhaler called in on 12/16. They were not ready as they had a question regarding insurance. I asked why no one had called me as I had told them in the past that I pay for the inhalers I purchase locally. I had an appointment I had to be shortly and thought I was just picking up the Rx quickly. I had also told them in the past that the ** inhaler does not work for me. My doctor's office sent an order for 2 ** inhalers. As I waited, the pharmacist filled the order and put both inhalers in the bag and stapled it shut. Being on a disability pension and not even being able to get all the Rx I need monthly, I was shocked to be told it was $88.54. I paid and had to leave as I was going to be late on my appointment by that time.
When I got home, I opened the bag and the pharmacy had given me the **. I paid $88.54 for 2 inhalers that do not work for me. I immediately called and told them I had only opened the bag and not the boxes, and needed to return them so that I could get the ** inhalers that I literally need to live. I was told too bad, I should have opened the bag and asked any questions before I left. I told her I had to leave immediately after waiting around for it to be filled after it was called in 5 days previously. Why would I think they had given me the ** when I had told them in the past that it didn't work for me? Their receipt on their bags do not show what is in the bag, only the prescription number and cost. No one made a note of that on my file. She said she would note it now. Too little, too late.
I now have $88.54 of inhalers I can't use and no money to buy the ones they were supposed to have given me the first time. So watch out people. If they give you what they want and you don't open the bag (I didn't see anyone open the bags), you are screwed and may even die if you can't then afford the Rx the doctor prescribed. She told me that even though the doctor's office forms and fax showed ** inhalers, that somehow that gets changed over to ** inhaler in their system and they decide what to give you. They need to update their systems then as the ** inhaler hasn't been available in over a year!
Needless to say, this disability pensioner will never use their pharmacy again. I will tell everyone I know to do the same. Maybe if they get enough complaints, they will talk to the person who is getting the Rx and let them decide!

I take over nineteen medications and I had just seen a new physician and she prescribed them all at once. I recently got a third of my prescriptions filled. I called them in the night before and the computer told me that they would be ready the next day at 10 am. I waited until 3:30 the next day to give them extra time. To my surprise, when I got there, they told me that it would be another 30 minutes because there were so many.
I kept my cool and went to get some other things I needed as usual. When I went into the aisle to get products I needed, I noticed that two or three associates started coming down the aisle and I just ignored them as usual because I don't steal. I grew up poor but was raised not to steal. I kept on looking for my hair products and then an associate came into the aisle and tried to pretend he was straightening up. I then got tired of it and went on to get some food products I needed and went to the office to get a large money order for a bill. I shop at Walmart so much even at that particular location and have been treated this way several other times.
I know you have to beef up security for the holidays but I am sure you are aware that racial profiling is against the law and you can be sued for it. Thieves come in all colors not just in black. My doctor just put me on a new medication because I could not afford my original prescription. Well I got on the $9 program at Walmart pharmacy with the **. I am still left with shortness of breath and the tight felling in my chest, plus the product only has 64 doses. Well I used my samples that my doctor gave me. Not really happy about the medicine, but it is the only thing I can afford. So I called my local Walmart pharmacy to fill my prescription. I got the medicine and went to use it. They read the bottle and filled out the prescription information onto a fax page to send to my doctor for the transfer. And again, I asked the cost of the meds and was told about $80.00. Overall description - This happens 90% of the time. It cause me to have to go back at least twice each time and go to my doctor's to call again for medication. I went to another pharmacy and never had problems like this. I have talked to the manager and called the company.
I have many prescriptions - 8 or more - every month. Some I must take. I cannot miss one: diabetic medications, pain, muscle meds. I order on time and give them 4 days. They usually need to go through the doctor for the pain meds. I have personally called them in, done them over the phone, and done them online. No matter, they say they have sent the request to the doctor. I go back after 3 or 4 days, and they say the doctor answered some of them but some were not. Then as I stood there, I called the doctor; and they said they gave permission for all of them. Walmart then said they did not get the permission through the fax machine so I can't get my medicine. I went back to my doctor, and they complained they must do it again. Sometimes, I stood at the doctor's office while they are calling and know they called. But they still give me the runaround when I know my doctor made the call. They cannot show me any faxes, so I can see who lied to whom. But I never had problems with the other pharmacies.
I only go to Walmart because of the price. I cannot get insurance and must pay for my medicines - about $500 a month. They have become very rude. For a while, they changed people in the front and it was better. But now, the same people are back. This is part of the medical team that is supposed to take care of their patients, and if they are qualified to do this, they should also be qualified to make doubly sure things are done properly and the customer should be taken care of, not abused. They are not following up properly on people's prescriptions, and I have talked to many people, even the staff(!) that will not go to that pharmacy. What can be done?!

You have to squeeze with one hand and pull out the meds with the other. This may seem like a good idea but people with fibromyalgia find it very hard to get to your meds.
People that have problems with this or any other condition that limits hand use would have to skip the dose if they can't open it. I need to have the opportunity to get my prescriptions in a bottle if that is easier for me. I still need to have childproof bottles. Then yesterday, 8/11/09, I went to the doctor and had bronchitis. They called me in steroids and cough syrup. I had then called the nurse to let her know I had a previous steroid pack and she said to see what the pharmacy said. No one else was at that counter at the time. I waited for approximately ten minutes before the pharmacist came to see me. This I had no problem with because there were other customers at another window that she was tending to. On her approach she asked me if I was dropping off a prescription. I said I would like to get my prescription filled. Her remarks were, "I am sorry, sir, but you will have to come back tomorrow.” My reply was, "Ma’am, your sign says you are open from 9 am to 9 pm,” to which she replied, "I am sorry, we close in twenty minutes." I begged her just to fill one of the prescriptions, **, which I take along with ** for high blood pressure. I would come back the next day for the ** as I still had a few at home. He replied, “No, sir, but you will have to come back tomorrow." I then asked for the number to the corporate office. By then he took the prescription and was willing to help me only if the lady gave him the go-ahead. I called the corporate office and made a complaint. I still cannot understand why I could not get my prescription when I was in the store forty minutes before closing time. I cannot understand, while after explaining that my condition could be life threatening, why I had to wait until the next day if I had gotten there at 9 pm.
I would certainly have to bear responsibility for my action should something have happened to me. But I was there on time. I never had an attitude nor was I at anytime rude to anyone. Walmart pharmacist screamed at diabetic customer. I have been shopping and having prescriptions filled at the Walmart in Leeds, Alabama for over 7 years and never had any major issues until last week. I have been a regular shopper of Walmart for years, but this location is just 2 miles from my home. First, a clerk in the pharmacy refused to wait on me. When I complained to the pharmacist about this, the clerk began to argue with me - in the presence of the pharmacist. I complained to the pharmacist insisting something should be done to address her poor customer service skills. I also followed up with the manager of the store (who coincidentally was the manager over the pharmacy).
Upon her arrival (nearly 20 minutes later), she didn't appear too concerned about my complaint and took a nonchalant attitude stating she would take care of the issue. On 8/4/09, a week later, I went to the pharmacy to purchase diabetic supplies. I noticed the girl with the attitude from the previous week working in the pharmacy. The cashier indicted that although I had been getting my diabetic supplies without a prescription, I needed to present one now to have the insurance applied.
After questioning her and getting no explanation, I drove home and returned about 20 minutes later. When I approached the counter the second time, clearly the attitude of the cashier had changed. She did not greet me in a friendly manner or even look me in the eyes. As I handed her the prescription, she indicated it would be 40 minutes to process (My supplies were sitting on the counter next to her, and she had already entered my insurance information into the computer). I questioned the length of time to process and reminded her that I just drove home to retrieve the prescription.
Now, I was expected to return yet again? That would be my third trip just to process my insurance. At that point, the pharmacist stepped in with an obvious defensive attitude (not the same pharmacist from last week). The pharmacist told me very matter-of-factly, that it would take 40 minutes and I needed to understand that. Certainly not the courteous explanation I was expecting from a professional. I reluctantly thanked her for her assistance and she responded with a sarcastic/flippant attitude, "You're welcome."
I told the cashier to just give me my supplies. I was offended by this bad treatment and had planned to complain yet again to a manager. As I grabbed the items from the counter, the pharmacist stepped over to the window again and this time came yelling at me to leave. I told her I didn't want to hear anything else from her. She had not helped at all in this situation (Clearly, tempers were flared). She screamed louder, "Leave!" I finally went to the front of the store and asked for a manager in charge (Terry).
After explaining what had transpired at the pharmacy, the manager spoke with the pharmacist and he returned stating the pharmacist said you threatened them. I explained to him her entire unacceptable behavior and treatment towards me from the beginning of the conversation and that she had become verbally abusive, screaming for me to leave. Then, I responded to her, "Don't make me come over there (Did this eradicate the deplorable and verbally abusive behavior from a Walmart pharmacist prior to that point?)."
I have never been verbally attacked like this in my life! The manager assured me he would handle the situation; it seems like I've heard that one before. I asked for the pharmacist's name which he refused to provide. When I asked for his name, he only provided his first name (which was on his name badge) and stated, "Are you going to file a complaint against me too?" While I was talking to the manager of the store, I was crying and left the store still sobbing and shaking (This was not from low blood sugar from my diabetes. My blood glucose level was normal prior to walking into Walmart).
I subsequently called the regional manager of that store (Mike **) and told him of the incident. He spoke with me a few days later and he indicated he had spoken to the staff about this incident. He explained that our stories were parallel and he had a discussion with the staff about what was important. I had to question him about the appalling behavior of the pharmacist. He only indicated the pharmacist stated that she could get a word in edgewise with me. Did this justify the verbal attack of this pharmacist?
He also indicated that the pharmacy was very busy it being the beginning of the month. Was the pharmacist on edge because of the work load? I'm not sure the reasons, but, I do know that my behavior of questioning the length of time to process my insurance coverage did not justify the attack of the pharmacist. The regional manager was kind and seemed sympathetic. However, there was no indication that a serious form of reprimand was administered to the pharmacist, and he did not apologize for the horrifying and embarrassing incident I had just been subjected to in his store. If he had supported me, he would have, at the very least, apologized, and possibly done something to make amends for this dreadful and scary experience. He didn't.
He continually stated that he understood my perspective of the situation (translation - I support my staff). I'd like to reiterate, I've been a customer at that location for over 7 years and have never had any issue until last week. After this treatment, did the regional manager really believe I felt comfortable shopping in that store again? He certainly didn't assure me this would never happen again. Is there any such thing as customer service anymore? Does Walmart care about the years of commitment from a loyal customer and take a situation like this serious?

Although Walmart pharmacy may tell you the law prohibits them from giving you any money back for syringes, test strips, damaged prescriptions, etc., if they are damaged, they can give you a gift card for the item even if they don't take it back. If the customer service person doesn't help you and the pharmacy doesn't help, you call 1-800-WALMART from their payphone at the store. Follow what that person tells you to do. Go back to the area they tell you to go to and let them know what they said. If they refuse to follow the directions they gave, you go back and call 1-800-WALMART again and tell them they are refusing to help you and you had just called a few minutes before and you would like them to call a manager at the store while you hold. Beat the idiots at the service desk at their own game.

I was given the wrong the medication. There wasn't all of the information in the bag. I took the medication for two weeks for a nail fungus. I had two other meds for seven days. I wondered why I had one med for 30 days. I had to go back to the doctor after two weeks the finger wasn't getting much better. My blood pressure was high so the doctor gave me a written prescriptions and there was a mix up and I did not know it and took medication for the wrong thing. I took the medication to my doctor and that's when we found the mix up after two weeks. My doctor is very sure he did not prescribe that medication to me because he keeps a copy of every paper he gives out. I took the medication back to Wal-Mart and the lady said that my medication name was close to the name of the medication I was given. I should have seen the leaflet in the bag but all the information was not in the bag. I had several medications in the bag. She gave the medication I needed at no cost. I wasn't refunded for what I had bought. My meds were supposed to be for my blood pressure and I was given meds for seizures.

When it came 7:00 p.m., we were still standing there and they were looking for my prescription. I had some things on the counter to pay for, and they closed the window in my face and said they were closing because they wanted to go home. They closed the window in my face while I was standing there with product to pay for. It was the pharmacist on duty and 3 lady workers. They didn't want to look for my prescription, because it was time for them to go home.

I had 5 refills on a moderate pain medication. I'd been refilling it about every four to five days. When I tried to refill the last refill on the Rx, the pharmacist said it shouldn't have been filled except for every 6 days or so and that based on the original fill date, I'd have to wait 2 weeks for the last refill since it shouldn't have been filled before when it had been. She also wouldn't return the Rx bottle. (I usually refill by phone but lightning took out our phone for several days.) My belief is that the pharmacy is responsible for refilling prior to next fill date and the pharmacist had no right to use the 1st fill date to determine the last fill date. They made the mistake, not me. And the last fill date should be based on the previous last fill date, not the first. And she hasn't any right not to return the bottle since if I'd filled by phone, they wouldn't even have had the bottle even if they didn't fill it.

This pharmacy needs to be looked into. I have experienced several unacceptable incidents at this pharmacy. I am a diabetic that has recently been put on insulin. My first bad experience was when I was given the wrong size of syringe. My prescription specifically stated the size. I went home and tried to use the syringe the pharmacist gave me. It was too long and really hurt. I called my doctor to tell him, he asked what size was on the box, I told him and he said that was incorrect, that he had prescribed a smaller size. I went back to Walmart to tell them. At first, they argued that was what I asked for. I told them to pull the prescription and sure enough, they had given me the wrong size. Only thing I got was a "sorry". The next incident was a mix-up in the labels on my medication.
As I stated earlier, I am a diabetic and take 70/30 and "R" insulin. They put the label for the 70/30 on the "R" bottle and the label for the "R" on the 70/30 vial. With the dosage being a considerate difference, if I did not know the difference between the insulins, I could have overdosed if I had followed the instructions on the bottles. The third bad incident was I called in a refill on my insulin. I spoke with a tech and was told my prescription would be ready after 3:00 PM that day. I arrived around 6:30 PM and was told that they were out of that medication and it had been on back-order for 2 weeks. How can you run a pharmacy and let yourself run out of a popular medication? Also, if a medication has been on back-order for 2 weeks, shouldn't you be advising your customers to get the medication elsewhere?
I asked if they could give me the brand name Insulin as I was getting the Walmart generic brand. The tech told me that they would need a new prescription from my doctor. It's 6:30 PM, the doctor's office is closed, I'm out of my insulin and they would not give me the brand name Insulin. I had to go without insulin that night and the next morning until I went to another pharmacy to refill. The pharmacist at Walgreen's called Walmart, who in turn gave the okay to refill with the name brand. Couldn't they have done that the night before? The Walgreen's pharmacist also told Walmart about the mix-up in the labeling of the medication. The final incident, which has broken the camel's back, is when I went to the same Walmart pharmacy to fill a prescription for 3 medications - ** 70/30 insulin. I was asked if I was going to wait or come back. She said it would take 45 minutes to fill. I told the tech that I would wait. There is a bench right in front of the pharmacy to wait.
After 45 minutes, I got up and went to the counter to pick up my prescriptions. I was told they were out of the **, that it was on back-order. Again, don't you know what medications you're out of? Couldn't you have come out and told me this instead of having me to wait? After working all day and sitting for 45 minutes, only to find out that what you've been waiting for is not there, is frustrating, to say the least.

It was a Monday about noon. I was obviously daydreaming, or something, when out of nowhere, my 8-month-old pup (70 pounds) decided to jump across my lap in a mad dash after his favorite squeak toy! At the same moment, I decided to get up; and we had the most painful collision! It sounded like a car wreck to me! I never even seen it coming. The top of the dog's head hit me square in the mouth, breaking two of my teeth, ouch! They broke at the gum line and caused the roots to hit my jaw bone. It was torturous.
After I could do more than hold my face in pain, at least long enough to try to call my dentist, I did finally contact him. However, due to all the cutbacks that seem to have hit people like me the most (disabled, on SSI, with Medi-Cal for insurance), my dentist, who by the way is a great guy, could not see me for this injury, or sadly any other if I did not have something other than Medi-Cal. But being the guy that he is, he did call in a prescription for me for the pain. It was called in to the Wal-Mart pharmacy before 5:00 pm. I know this is true, because my dentist is always closed by 5:00. So off to Wal-Mart I went.
I got in to the long line of people standing single file at exactly 6:26 pm. They were closing at 7:00 pm. There was the usual gal at the counter, "bless her heart," working her butt off as usual. But she is only one girl. And the other three people behind the counter were doing very little or nothing but socialize among their selves. But the very worst one of them all was the big, fat grumpy supervisor, who did absolutely nothing but stand behind the gal working with his hands tucked promptly behind his back in a non-participating "I am the boss" stance. He also was frowning grumpily at everyone still waiting in line.
When it finally became my turn at the counter, it was then approximately 6:52 pm, and there were still 4 or 5 people behind me waiting. They asked me my name and birth date, and in less then one minute, they returned, saying that there was nothing for me. I assured them that there had to be something, as I had just spoken to my dentist at 5:00 pm and he had assured me that he had called in what I needed to Wal-Mart pharmacy at least half an hour prior to our conversation. At this point, the grumpy manager had gone to check it out himself.
A couple of minutes went by, and he then asked me "** what?" He was referring to my last name, believing that my first name was "Rick." (I am a forty-something-year-old woman, and trust me, I look nothing like a man. In total disbelief, I then told him that ** was a last name and gave him my first name. 2 seconds later, I noticed that he had indeed found my prescription that had been called in just as I had said. But he was saying nothing about finding it. And now, he was very irritated at the thought of having to stay 2 minutes longer to fill this prescription that had been called in quite some time ago and was also called in as an emergency!
The gal said, "So can we fill it for now?" He looked at me and said, "No"! It was too late. It was 7:04 pm. She told again that it was called in as an emergency?! I explained once again that I was in a lot of pain and that I was here long before the time for them to close had come. Again, He looked at me and said no and that I would have to come back tomorrow.
He then went on to say that he had a long ride still before he got home. I then tried to explain to him that I could not go all night without some kind of relief from the pain. And then, I explained that If he did not fill my prescription for me that I would have to "no doubt" have to find a way to the emergency room at the hospital and that I had no other options. He turned his back on me and continued to gather his belongings, so he could be on his "long, long drive home," refusing to discuss it any further.
I would like it to be known that I am writing my story as I sit in the emergency room waiting room. Nice, huh? Not to mention that even though I am at the hospital, my fate is still uncertain. I cringe to think what it is that I will be denied, even here, due to budget cuts, Medi-Cal covering nearly nothing any more, and because of the very special, caring type of individuals like my pal at Wal-Mart pharmacy! Thanks, buddy.
I would like to leave him with one thought: A person's teeth rarely last them an entire life time. Remember me, when your day to take that very painful not-so-long drive to your dentist. For your sake, I hope Wal-Mart has better insurance coverage than you and Medi-Cal offered me. Karma is not the name of some type of lip balm sold on whatever aisle near the pharmacy!

My husband went to pick up another script, 7/8/09 and was given the RX that I cancelled on 7/1/09. He was not told what was in the bag but was just told the total to pay. I went back to the pharmacy this morning and they would not understand what I was saying and refused to accept any of the responsibility for their error.
They would not take the meds back or give a refund. What a surprise. Now, I am out $20.00. Also, they did not give the correct about as stated on the bottle. I am out $20.00 for the extra RX and already have a 3 month supply that I just paid an additional $20.00 for.

My daughter dropped off three prescriptions this evening to get filled. When she went to pick them up, she was told the total for the three and she did not have enough money to pick them all up right then. (Actually, she had just enough money but she would not have been able to get her children anything to eat if she had paid for all three.) So she told the lady that she would take the antibiotic as she needed it badly and the other two were eye drops and nose spray and she knew she could get by without those until Friday when she got paid but she really needed the antibiotic.
Marge was initially waiting on her and this other lady chimed in and said, "You dropped off three prescriptions you got to pick, all three up or none." Marge acted like she was surprised at what this lady was saying but she did not step up and take care of my daughter. My daughter was shocked as she has been able to pick up a portion of her prescriptions if she needed to before. There have been times she has dropped off prescriptions and didn't need all them filled at that time and it never was a problem. The lady would not help her. Of course it was closing time (which probably had a lot to do with the problem). The lady that refused to let her pick up one of her prescriptions did not have a name tag on but she was in her 50's, had shoulder length hair and wore glasses.
They cannot refuse to give you a prescription if you are paying for it . They cannot determine that they are not going to give you some of your prescriptions. My daughter is a single parent and is so sick right now and is unable to get started on her medications to help her to feel better. Due to having an infection (is why the doctor prescribed an antibiotic), my daughter is running a high fever. I am going to go as high as I have to get to make sure this does not happen to another person. This lady was extremely rude (which is pretty much par-for-the course for Wal-Mart). What if this had been a life-threatening drug and whose to say it is not? I do not want this to happen to anyone else.

On Thursday, 6-18-2009, I had a medical emergency that required an immediate endoscopy procedure resulting in the finding of a bleeding ulcer. My doctor gave me a prescription (which I have since I learned he should not have done because as it turns out it's available over the counter).
As my friend drove me home from the clinic which preformed it, I called my ex-wife to tell her what they found and said that we were going to go to Wal-Mart pharmacy to have the prescription filled for "42 ** 20mg" pills. She told me that it is available over the counter, since she has GERD (Gastroesophageal reflux disease) and knows about those medications, I figured she might know what she was talking about so when I arrived at the Rock Falls, IL, WalMmart pharmacy, I asked the clerk at the prescription drop off window if it was available over the counter and was told "no" it's not. They proceeded to fill the prescription at a cost of $117.78.
The following Sunday, 6-21-09, while talking to a friend who also suffers from GERD, she told me that indeed it is available over the counter at a much lower cost than I paid and that she buys it over the counter at Wal-Mart. On Monday, 6-22-09, when I returned to the Rock Falls Walmart to have another prescription filled, while waiting for it, I checked the over the counter acid blocking drug area and found the exact same thing - ** 42 count - 20mg for $19.98, $97.80 less than I had been charged. I took an over the counter box of it to the pharmacist and was told yes indeed it is the exact same thing and that I should not have been told that it was not available over the counter. I, in fact, think that I should not even have had to ask, which I indeed had asked. She told me that when the pharmacy manager returned from lunch that she would inform him of this misinformation that I received, resulting in an overcharge to me of $97.80 and would ask him to resolve the problem.
When the manager did call me, he informed me that his supervisor had told him that the only thing he could do was to prorate for the product that I had already used (9 pills) and refund $89.60 (if you take 42 and subtract 9 that's = 33). Upon counting my pills, I only had 32 so it appears that I was short of 1 pill to begin with, in addition to being overcharged. Bottom line is $117.78 minus $89.60 = $28.18, and I would still need to buy the box of 42, more than I need, for $19.98 resulting in a cost to me of $48.16, for a purchase that should have only been $19.98. That's $28.18 overcharge is small change to Wal-Mart. But it's a lot of money to someone who lives on a small pension and is facing more medical expense in connection with the medical problem I am dealing with.
I have been purchasing all of my medicines at Wal-Mart for quite a long while. I have been shopping at Wal-Mart ever since there has been a local store in Sterling and Rock Falls, IL. I normally buy most of my groceries at the Sterling Super store. I'm sure that this year alone, I have a total of purchases at Wal-Mart of $1500 to $2000 range. Is Wal-Mart willing to lose my business, as well as anyone else I can convince to stop buying at Wal-Mart, over $28.18 that you owe me? It's very upsetting when you realize that you cannot believe what a clerk at Wal-Mart pharmacy is telling you. Who is this supervisor who would make such a stupid decision to cheat a good customer out of $28.18, small change to Wal-Mart! $28.18 is about $2.00 less than my phone bill this month, which I was sitting here trying to figure out how I am going to pay.

Today my husband stopped at 1:30pm and asked for my prescription. He was very rudely told that they didn't have anything under that name as they were closing their doors for their lunch break. Since this had happened to me before, I asked him to go back after their lunch was over and ask again. Well, miraculously the prescription had appeared while they were out to lunch.

On 6-6-09, I went to the Walmart pharmacy at Spring Creek and Coit, Plano, TX 75024 (store # 2086) at 12:45 PM. I just moved to this area and wanted to transfer a prescription. Six month ago, the store pharmacies may have changed the laboratory providing ** 25 mg, probably for financial business considerations. Since then it comes in a flat box with the pills sealed in aluminum paper. I am a senior citizen. I have rheumatoid arthritis in my hands and no strength in my fingers in addition to a recent surgery for a broken wrist. I cannot physically remove those pills by pressure with my fingers. In the other pharmacy, where they knew me for over 8 years (and where I got all other medicines), they have made an exception and put the 90 pills in a container.
When I asked the same customer service in this one, the pharmacist told me their supervisor has "forbidden" them to do that. I explained my problem and informed him I live alone. I asked him if disabilities are not taken into account. The answer was negative. If this is really a supervisory order, I argue that this Walmart’s customer service to people with handicaps/disabilities is, I believe, unacceptable, harsh, rude and inconsiderate. I am not sure if it is illegal, but certainly, in my opinion, it deserves some attention from management. I had to returned to my old pharmacy, 8 miles away (vs. 1 block away), where they treat customers with care and respect.

I was victim recently to a 1.5-hour wait on a quoted 45-minute wait. Also, the pharmacist who claimed to be on duty that particular morning emphatically stated that there were no waits over 20 minutes. I take issue with this seemingly bold-faced lie. I sat next to a gentleman that particular day that was initially behind me when I dropped off the prescriptions to be filled. He also had to wait an inordinate amount of time (close to my wait time) for his prescription(s) to be filled. There's more. Fax contact with my doctor’s office on two separate occasions emanating from WM pharmacy never happened according to my doctor’s office personnel. I do not believe in this particular “coincidence”. I will say that prior to several weeks ago, I had basically no problems with this pharmacy. I had been transacting business there for over 5 years easily and received excellent service from all pharmacy personnel.
There was no economic damage to me, but I may have inflicted a tad on WM pharmacy by moving all my medications, as of today, 6-9-09, to CVS. I do not seek vengeance but am worried about the staff at WM pharmacy being overworked and understaffed. Hopefully this is not a corporate trend with WM or any other pharmacy. This may be due to incompetence by the pharmacist/pharmacy manager, or, likely but not absolutely, the general store manager. Anyhow, any WM in-house personnel inequities, if any, need to be addressed on the local, regional, or corporate level. If nothing is accomplished by WM management, I believe the consumer will speak with their actions and the employee(s) will walk!

I've used this pharmacy since we moved to Lowell and have had problems with them not having our meds on hand or missing pills, etc., little problems. I recently went to my doctor’s office and he gave me a prescription for ** along with a coupon from Pfizer Pharmaceuticals that states: “Never pay more than $20.00.” I took it with me to the pharmacy with my prescription and handed it all to the technician. She took them and laid them side by side and said that it would take at least an hour and a half. I said that’s a coupon for the **. She said, “I know.” I said okay and went home. I felt terrible as I had a nasty sinus infection.
My daughter went back to the pharmacy after two hours and had to wait four hours before finally being told that they wouldn't have it in until the following day after 2:00. She was not happy nor was I. The following day, my daughter went back to the pharmacy after 4:00 and after an hour was told that they only needed to mix it. She watched while a technician mixed the prescription, and then shook it for prep. At that point, the technician told my daughter that it would be $81 and some change. My daughter then asked, "What about the coupon?" She was then told that they were not sure. Then after 15 more minutes, she was told they didn't have it. Then after 5 minutes more, she was told that it wouldn't go through. She then came home and told me what had happened.
Let me just tell you I also suffer from both Meniere’s disease and osteoarthritis. It is very difficult for me to stand in line for hours on end, so my 30-year-old daughter with three children, 4, 6, and 8 years old, out of her love for me offered to go to the pharmacy for me. After we both settled down a bit, she called to talk to the pharmacist directly and he told her (on speaker phone so I could hear) that he doesn't know what happened to the coupon, maybe it didn’t go through and if I just go back to my doctor and ask him for another coupon, that they would fix it. Excuse me, but isn’t that his job to fill prescriptions? I cannot and I will not go back to my doctor’s office, 35 miles from my home, to get another coupon. What I will do is never ever use this pharmacy again! I have already taken the rest of my prescriptions to Walgreens.

This concerns my sister. She has been going to the pharmacy for as long as I can remember. My sister has a lot wrong with her. She's in so much pain it's not even funny and, to see her like this, hurts my heart. But my sister needs strong medicines for her pain. Every time she would go get her medicine, it took most of the day. She would have to go home 15 miles and then come back. That we could handle but in March, she tried to get her refills and the pharmacist and the lady who helps got very rude. My sister took her prescription in on Monday. They told her to call back on Tuesday to get the rest.
She called and they treated her like a drug addict off the street. They told her she still had 3 more days before she could get them but it was the way she said it and my sister didn't understand since they told her to call back on Tuesday. She was told there were only 28 days in February so she still had 3 days, then the pharmacist got on there and got rude, so my sister got a little rude. The next day, she went in to get her prescription and they made her wait 2 hours, then told her they couldn't fill it. They had only 68 pills, something to that effect. They told her someone else might have it but they weren't going to call.
My sister went up to her doctor and, man, was he mad! He had to rewrite a prescription just for that amount. I don't like the way they talked to my sister making her feel like she was a drug addict and feeling bad about herself because she feels so rotten and has to have these drugs to get through the day so that she can see her son raised.
Dave ** was the pharmacist and I'm not sure about the other one. Does Walmart have the right to make someone feel that way? No, they don't. Their job is to fill the prescription and warn them about side effects and so on, not dabble into places they have no knowledge about. Since then, I encouraged my sister to go somewhere else and she did and they love her and call her when her stuff is ready, like it should be. The normal wait time for a prescription at Walmart is at least a day. Thank you for your time. I feel sure Sam didn't intend for Walmart to turn out like it has.

At this point, the young rude lady said, "We got it." The pharmacist said to me, "We require 48 hrs. on prior authorization to fill medicine." I explained to her that it had been 4 days, which is 96 hours. I did not appreciate her trying to tell me that this was the doctor office's problem when it was clear that she dropped the ball. I've worked in the medical field for almost 20 years and I am very much aware of prior authorizations and how they work. But you would think that in 4 days, your prescription would be filled. This is not the only time I have problems there plus what's the worst thing is, no one is ever nice; they act like you are bothering them.

I had changed over to Wal-Mart Pharmacy several months ago. Well, this is the 3rd time they hadn't got my medicine right. They were supposed to give me 2 bottles of a certain medicine, plain on the bottle 1 of 2. Well, I got home and found I only have 1. This happened twice. And finally another situation, I didn't have all the medicine when I got home; for example, I ordered 3 and only got 2 of them. Well, I forget when I get there to check it before I leave. Well, I shouldn't have to. Then it's way across town I have to go back. So I’m changing to another pharmacy. Never will I use Wal-Mart Pharmacy again! My health is not good, and I have to go way across town. Gas is expensive, and I should not have to do this; it should be to where I can trust my pharmacist. Once is okay, but not 3 times.

My wife waited 45 minutes for our son's medication due to his illness and when she arrived home, noticed they gave my 7-year-old ** 10 mg and get this, someone else's name. We called them and they wanted us to drive 30 minutes to return the medication and get our son's. Here it is 12:00 a.m. and I told him, "No, we will come in and speak to a manager."

He refused to order in the medication and fill my daughter's and my husband's prescription because he has been there a year and only filled this same kind of prescription 4 times. Those were his exact words to me and the doctor's office. Go figure. I asked, “So, I either drive 25 miles to another Wal-Mart and get the script filled or go without our meds?” He replied, “If you want to look at it that way.” This makes me angry. I have informed my healthcare provider that we will no longer use the Wal-Mart Pharmacies. He said they couldn't get meds from the other Wal-Mart Pharmacy to fill it. I am frustrated and disappointed with the lack of service. We will have to pay more and go to another pharmacy that is not familiar with the scripts we have been using.

My wife tried to get an Rx refilled, and they said she did not have a refill. Then, they said they found it. They filled it wrong, giving her a 40 mg, which should have been a 10 mg. When called, they said to bring it back to the store. We caught the mistake, but they need to check their work. This is not the first time. If my 83-year-old mother had got this, she would have trusted them to know what they are doing. So as you can see, older people should not shop at Wal-Mart. Thanks for your time.

My son was given a higher dosage of his **. Instead of 20mg, he was given 22mg by his psychiatrist. When I went to pick up the medication, I was never explained that they did not have the 22mg and was given only the 2mg. I did notice the color was different but expected that since the dosage was supposed to be higher. My son has schizoaffective disorder. Without the correct dosage of medication, he became violent, attacking my daughter and myself leaving bruises on my arms and neck. He choked my 14-year old daughter and has left her traumatized from this miscalculation in his prescriptions. I found this out when I accessed the online website for Wal-Mart that the rx I had was for 2mg not 22mg. I spoke to one of the technicians over the phone and today, they cannot locate the prescription error online. It was deleted offline but they cannot delete what they billed medicaid for. Since my son is disabled, he receives medicaid.

Problem #1: I had a prescription that was misfilled by my doctor. He wrote it for 1x/day; it should have been for 2x/day. Walmart wouldn't talk to the doctor to correct it. I did and it was corrected. However, after 2 refills, Walmart refused to fill my final refill because it was too early to refill at 1x/day. I explained that it was corrected, and I was getting the prescription at 2x/day. They refused to correct the problem. So I switched to Walgreens. They had the problem corrected within the hour.
Problem #2: I waited at the pickup window for over 20 minutes. They refused to answer. I finally got someone to answer but only after being ignored for 20 minutes. Problem #3: I received a prescription for pain medication. They wouldn't fill it because they said it wasn't filled out correctly. They refused to call the doctor to get it corrected - after 3 times back and forth between the pharmacy and the doctor’s office. The doctor’s office couldn't believe that they wouldn't call the doctor for the correction. Finally, the doctor’s office called the pharmacy and it was finally resolved; but the medication was delayed 4 days.
The people provide the worst customer support of any place I've ever seen. The staff that works there just doesn't care at all. One person next to me was screaming at them saying “If my husband dies from your negligence, I'm going to sue.” It didn't surprise me. By the way, Walgreens called if there was a problem. Walmart Pharmacy won't do that. Consequences: delay in receiving needed medication, plenty of aggravation, and I've now dropped them as my pharmacy.

Generic drugs for $10 (for a 90-day supply). What a joke! I had my doctor call in this prescription and guess what? They only had one month's supply on hand. So I asked, “Can I pay for the entire order now and pick up the rest in three days?” “No, we can't do that,” was the reply. “But we can check other stores to see if they have enough on hand.” “That isn't going to work since I only come into town twice per week and I'm on my way back home.” (I live about twenty miles outside of Austin.) “Well, then I can't help you,” was the pharmacist's reply. So, my question is, does Walmart intentionally under-stock generics to avoid the $10 price? Is this some sort of false advertising? I am disgusted.

I had turned in a new prescription from my doctor on a Tuesday and waited until Thursday to pick it up in case they needed pre-authorization for it. It was around one o'clock. I went up to the window, and since my whole family gets their medicine at Walmart, I was greeted by name. A search by the trainee turned up nothing so she asked the pharmacist, a young white male with closely cut hair. His response was, in a curt manner, "It's not covered by her insurance. Tell her to call her doctor and get something that is covered." I asked if they had called for a pre-authorization and I was given the same response. I have never been treated this way by this or any other pharmacy ... and if it continues I will find a new one.

Your pharmacy at 3501 Cortez Road Close. We tried to have the prescriptions filled at the other Cortez Road store, but they said the prescriptions were not transferred and we had to call the doctor to get the doctor to call the pharmacy. We have never dealt with a pharmacy before that refused to call the doctor for us. Also, since Wal-Mart closed the store and told us to go to the other Cortez Road location, why did they refuse to help us? We talked with a person who did not identify themselves. We think it was a technician.
