We had a prescription called into Walmart Pharmacy in Rhinelander, WI about 30 minutes before we stopped by the counter to pick it up. They already had the information and told us they were working on it and it would be ready in about 30 minutes. So we said we would shop until then and be back. Exactly 30 minutes later, we stopped back and they told us it would be ready in about 5 minutes, they were "working on it". We sat on the seats provided for another 24 minutes, went back up to the counter and spoke to the pharmacist. She told us they were working on it. I looked at her and said, "You know what, just keep it". We were on our way home 15 minutes later and received a recorded message from the pharmacy telling us that our prescription was ready to be picked up. If this is Walmart's policy to try to keep people in the store longer to keep them shopping and spending money, that is so wrong. This prescription was for our dog, just so you know. I have never been a fan of Walmart and this just assures me I am right. They are crook.

This is Dr. Farzad ** living in **. I have a complaint about a pharmacy Store in Isabela.
There are so many occasions that I went to get an Rx from a pharmacy store in Isabela PR but, unfortunately, I ended up with disrespect from the attendance lady today and also yesterday from another lady that works full-time in Walmart pharmacy. Every time, I end up with ignorance from the two employees of pharmacy store in Isabela, Puerto Rico because they cannot understand my last name, spell it, or type it in the computer although I repeat it slowly three times. Then after a while, she comes to me and holds me back in line, again, because she wants me to tell her my full name and birthday, again. There's no problem, I repeated it again.
Then, she starts typing in her computer and tells me the computer does not show my name. She asks me when I ordered my Rx, and I told her, "Yesterday, with the other lady." After waiting for a long time, she said, "I cannot find your name in the computer, sorry Sir." Then another man with white pharmacy lab coat shows up in counter and he realized that she did not put my name correctly in her database. Basically, I think that the lady that was working in pharmacy in Isabela, was not paying attention to her job and what she was supposed to do with customers (communication and respect) and also, same goes with her friend that was attending me yesterday.
Anyway, let me make a long story short. After she found my Rx, she told me I had to go back to the line again to pay the Rx. She could write my name with correct spelling or jot it down in paper. If there is a need for the name of employee, I will be more than happy to supply you.
I expect apology for bad behavior and attitude that these ladies have toward me. I do not accept this poor customer service from a respectful store such as Walmart in Isabela, PR, which I am a customer of since 1997.
We live in Isabela, PR and depend on store's excellent services. Every department in Walmart, Isabela has excellent customer services including optics but the pharmacy store. I spoke with my patients, and they also mentioned the same type of story about the customer services in the pharmacy in Isabela.
Please do something about these episodes in Walmart pharmacy store in Isabela. I think there is no need to mention the names of these 2 employees of Walmart, but if you need them, I will be more than happy to submit them to you.
Thank you so much for your concern and excellent services in all Puerto Rico island.
Truly,
Dr. Farzad

My migraine medication was no longer available. I saw my doctor for a new prescription. She suggested ** and sent the prescription to the pharmacy of my choice. My prescription was filled on the 2nd of August and I picked it up on the 5th. The cost was 28, so I asked if it had gone through my insurance because my previous medication didn't cost that much. I was told that indeed it had. I signed and paid for my prescription.
When I got home, I opened the pharmacy bag to put away my medication and found three small packets inside. My first thought was "this stuff had better be good at 10 a pill!" Next, I noticed the packets said **, but dismissed the difference as an acceptable substitution.
By the 20th of that same month, I had an onset of a migraine. I took my first dose of **. With no relief in two hours, I took the second. Several hours later, I was still in a great deal of pain and took the third. I remained in the bed for that weekend, could not go to work and suffered greatly with this migraine. I can't see small print without my reading glasses and was not wearing them when taking the **. But, at some point Sunday, I had put on my reading glasses and caught sight of two of the empty medication packets on my bedside table. I was shocked to see an expiration date of 07-2009! There wasn't anything I could do until Monday. It was then that I called my doctor's office and Walmart's pharmacy to report the expired medication.
Walmart has taken the position that their records indicate no error on their part, accepting no responsibility for the expired medication I received

We are from Southern California and my son goes to college at University of Montana Tech. My son was there for the summer football camp. Our Dr. called in a prescription to the Walmart Pharmacy in Butte, MT at the end of July for an inhaler for our son because he has allergies, sinus trouble and was having trouble breathing. This is our son's second year there, so our doctor has called in his prescriptions there many times and he has frequented that Walmart Pharmacy many times to pick up his prescriptions. After our Dr. called in his prescription for inhaler in July, he called us to tell us it was ready. My son (not having a car) took a cab over to the Walmart, only to be told that they had no prescription for him and have no record of him in their system! I called there immediately and they gave me the same run around.
I told them that I personally picked up a prescription at their store for my son that they had "no record of" just 2 weeks prior to this event. Still, they would not help me. I then called my doctor. The doctor told me they had already spoken to this pharmacy twice about this prescription. I called Walmart Pharmacy back and again, they found no record of this prescription or call. MY DOCTOR'S OFFICE HAD TO CALL A 3RD TIME! Now, last week, August 17th, my doctor's office called in a prescription for our son Michael to that same store. It was supposed to be 1 gram of ** to be taken 2x in morning and 2x at night (4 pills daily). This is a normal dose that he must take sometimes. My son called me yesterday and said his pills were almost gone and he was not better. I told him to get the bottle and read it to me what they had prescribed.
They gave him 1 gram of **, 1x in morning and 1x at night! This is 1/2 of his dose!!! I called my doctor AGAIN and asked them to look back in their notes and tell me what they had called in. They said they called in 1 gram ** 2 pills in morning and 2 pills at night! The doctor's office called them right away and ordered another prescription yesterday! When my son went to pick it up, AGAIN - THEY HAD NO RECORD OF THE CALL OF PRESCRIPTION FROM MY DOCTOR!!! The Pharmacist raised his voice with me and I could not get a word in edgewise! My doctor's office called again to get his order acknowledged, to get it filled correctly and to try to get my son well!!! This whole experience has made me so angry that it sickens me.
Do they realize what these medications such as an inhaler are used for?! Asthma attacks can be fatal! The antibiotic ** is used to clear up the infection that can lead to such fatal attacks. This is the last time I want to experience this type sort of customer service and I don't care, lackadaisical attitude. Never have I ever run into such a 3 ring circus who call themselves a business in all my years. I want people to know about this and I want something done! Thank you for your time and your ear.

On 8/21/2011, I had a prescription transferred from Walmart Pharmacy in Shallotte, NC. When I went and got it, I took it at home but found out that it was the wrong thing. I did not open the box and took it back. I had spelled out the name of the medicine and gave my RX number, I told them it was for my ear. Crystle ** did not want to change it. She said that it was not for my ear but what she gave me was. I told her I didn't care what it was for she gave me the wrong prescription and I was not going to use it. I said I want what the doctor prescribed for me.
She then filled it and tried to charge me for it after I had already paid for the wrong thing. I told her I was not paying for the wrong one and the right one too. She said she could not take the wrong one back. I said I am not taking it, the doctor did not prescribe it. I told her I wanted to talk to the manager and she said she was the assistant manager. I told her I would be back the next day to talk to the manager. The manager walked up with her 2 children. Crystle wanted to explain what happened so I told her I would explain my side after her. The manager told her to put the wrong medicine in the out of date box and give me the right one. She did.

Late July, ordered a cream and **. 8/4 I talk to them and they say the cream isn't in stock. Said 8/15 it will be in. I said that's fine. I asked if they had my CC number to fulfill the order, they said yes. They didn't send the **, they just sat on it waiting for the cream. Mid August rolls around, they're trying to reach me again. They need permission to use my card for my meds. I grant permission AGAIN. Their database makes it to where they have to mark it in the notes section which many reps miss. 2 reps missed this hence the need for follow up to me. They say they're going to finally ship out now. This was 8/16.
8/22: still nothing in the mail. Rep says it takes 72 hours to fulfill. I said "it's been twice that long." After many checks with her supervisor she comes back and says "the cream is out of stock." I simply ask, "ok a) can you send the ** anyway? b) will you send the cream when it FINALLY arrives?" She couldn't answer "b". Seriously? "Will you send it when it arrives" couldn't be answered? Wow. She had to transfer me to a pharmacist for that who couldn't answer it either but said he'll look out for it.
There is no way in hell a cream for eczema is in such high demand that the biggest company in the world can't get it in weeks of trying. This is not a popular medication, nor is it rare. I am literally going on 4 weeks since the order was replaced and have nothing but headaches, endless calls, endless hold times, endless checks for supervisors, etc, on a simple 2-item order. I've never had issues with pharmacies in my life other than not liking the prices. Walmart online pharmacy is proving that indeed you get what you pay for. They're not just cheap in cost, they're cheap in service and common sense. Being without my meds has caused negative reactions. My skin has broken out to an embarrassing level. My anxiety is at an all time high without my ** meds.

I have three prescriptions at your pharmacy that the Pain Clinic calls in each month. Yesterday, I went to pick up one. I was told that it was not ready and that the brand name for this script would be $165. I had been getting the brand name through a patient prescription program and I was informed by the pharmacy a couple of months ago, that the insurance is no longer available.
The last time I had this prescription filled, it was the generic. First, why didn't the pharmacy call the doctor's office or me to let us know that there was a problem filling the script, even if they already know that the insurance is not covering the brand name anymore. Second, after the tech informed me it wasn't ready, I asked her why the pharmacy could not call me when there's a problem, she just shrugged.
I've had at least five occasion over the last 12 months in which I've had this problem with the pharmacy. I've gone to pick up a script and was told on two occasions that there was a problem with the manufacturer supplying the pills. Other problems are of similar nature.
This is rotten customer service. I have better things to do than drive to the store, stand in line, leave the store empty handed, drive back to the store and wait in line again, when the problems could have been resolved with a 1-2 minute phone call.
I will now begin the process of searching for a pharmacy that will have more respect for my time and will have better customer service. You may have lower cost prescriptions, but it's not worth it if you can't provide good customer service. I may have to pay a little more for the prescriptions, but it's worth it. Having worked in a customer service environment most of my life, I know the importance of providing good service, as well as the impact of word of mouth from disgruntled customers. Because I won't go to the store just to pick up my meds, you should also consider the money you would lose on other items, those that I would have purchased while in the store.

I went to pick up my Rx that had been called in, but they only had a partial earlier. I was told that my Rx had been put back that morning (I was there about 9:20 am, and they open at 9:00am), because I only have 8 days to pick it up. I was then told I had to re-order the Rx at the drop off window. That lady was super nice and did everything she could to speed up the fill. Soon I received a text that it was ready, and none of the cashiers could find my Rx. The pharmacist said she was finishing it, and the cashier could see my frustration for having to wait. I simply noted that I was annoyed that I had to wait on an Rx that had already been filled, but had been put back.
My dog did not have her medicines that morning. And I was trying to make it to another appointment. The pharmacist told me that it was the law that medicines should be put back if not picked up by the 9th day. I could not find any such law with the VA board of Pharmacy. I may be wrong, but I think Walmart just doesn't like to hold Rxs for too long and they put them back. I am convinced that they just lied to cover their own butts. And everyone working that morning was in agreement that I was wrong. What happened to "the customer is always right"?

I pulled a muscle while at work and Walmart was the closest, and the only open place, to get my meds filled. The service was fine other than the long wait but when I got home and went to put my meds up, I noticed that I was missing 18 of my pain pills.
It was already after the Pharmacy had closed so I don’t really know what to do or how to have the problem fixed, but I need my meds.
I will call as soon as they reopen in the morning. I just hope that something can be done to fix the problem because that is a lot of pills to be missing out of 30. I will need them when I go back to work on Tuesday. I just really have no clue as to what to do. I have never had this problem anywhere I have went!

I went to pick up my prescription ** for my diabetes. When I got back to the car, open it, realized that only gave 15 pills. Took it back in and the pharmacy said it would be a minute and they would get the right amount. After waiting 10 minutes, the lady told me it was ready and ask me my birthday, gave me my medicine. After about 10 days of taking the medicine I began to get really sick and my sugar count kept going up. So on the 23rd of July I pull all my medicine and realized at that time they have given me ** < 50MG meds. So I called Decatur Pharmacy, told them they had given me the wrong meds and when I went to pick them up they offered me a 25 dollar gift card for their mistake. On July 29 I went to my family doctor with my sugar at 375 and a bad kidney infection and blood pressure 172/100. What will be my options to pursue and major suit against Decatur Walmart.

I dropped off a prescription and was told it would take 30 - 45 minutes. There was no other customer in the pharmacy, but we walked around the store and did our shopping. We came back in 30 minutes and was told that it was going to take awhile because they were busy. I asked if they could text me when the prescription was ready. They agreed, verified my cellphone number, and I sat down in the pharmacy to wait. My son and husband were with me. My son was just discharged from the hospital and was tired.
We waited another 20 minutes, but there's still no text and not another customer showed up in, the whole time. I decided, that if they were that busy, I would take my prescription to another pharmacy to get it filled. I went up to the counter and asked for my prescription back. The pharmacist said, "It is done." The clerk went to the area where the bags of prescriptions (that were ready) are, grabbed it from there, and rang me up. It had been sitting there ready, and they made us wait the whole time.

I know my complaint is one of MANY complaints and it looks like, from experience and reading of these complaints, that nothing will be done, until a boycott of Walmart pharmacies occur. I am a nurse in a doctor's office and I have witnessed so many mistakes and patient complaints about Walmart pharmacies---too numerous to mention.
Anyway, my granddaughter requires medication for bi-polar and ADHD disorders & some of the meds are controlled. My daughter took the prescription to this WM pharmacy that she has gone to for several yrs. (Walmart neighborhood market in OKC-- N.W. 23rd st. and N. Macarthur.) The tech took the script, looked it over and told my daughter that the doctor had not written the DEA # on the script. Being a nurse, I can't tell you how many times pharmacies (including WM) have called the doctor's office to get the DEA # and we give it over the phone.
My daughter asked them to call the doctor's office for it. They said that they couldn't do that. She would have to take the script back to the doctor and get the # written on the script. This was on a Sat. morning and by chance, the office was still open. So, my daughter took the script to the doctor's office and got the number written on the script. She took the script back to the same WM pharmacy-against my wishes. They took the script and told her the med would be ready for pick-up at 4PM. Remember, this was in the morning still. She went back at 4PM to get it. They didn't have it ready. My daughter asked why someone hadn't called her to tell her that the med wasn't ready. No apology or reason given, but they questioned her, as to whether or not the doctor actually wrote the # on the script.
My daughter told them to call his office; hopefully, someone would still be there. They said they could not do that. The reason?? who knows! (Incidentally, one of the techs had told my daughter that her own children were under the care of this same doctor.) When all was said and done, they pretty much told my daughter that the script was a fraud and couldn't fill it. My daughter was furious! She demanded the script back and took it to CVS where they filled it within 5 min. and w/o question!!
I believe nothing will be done until we BOYCOTT WALMART PHARMACIES!!!

Left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing in this company. Wal-Mart in Savoy, IL should have asked if they had "enough" as in quantity of pills at the Champaign location instead of just asking if they had it. This pharmacy technician/cashier, Megan, has the worst customer service and bad attitude I've ever seen. Two to three days ago, from when I dropped-off the prescription until I picked up the medicine, this girl had bad attitude with me. I've been to other pharmacies. Usually, people greet you with something like this, "Hello, how can I help you today?", and with a smiling face. This ** of a person, Megan, greets me with, "Yes?" And rolling her eyes and giving me a nasty attitude before I even opened my mouth to say anything. I was thinking to myself, "Oh, well, maybe she's having a bad day. "So, I dropped the prescription and was told by her that it was going to take three to four hours for pick-up. I said, "Wow. That long?" Since my daughter needed the medicine as soon as possible. She replied, "Yes. It takes that long," with a raised voice, and mumbling to herself some ** about me. I said, "What did you say?" She replied, "Nothing." So I left it alone and went about my way to come and pickup the medicine four hours later.
When I came to pick up the medicine for my sick daughter, it was my bad luck; she was the one at the pick-up window. As I was standing in line, I saw that she was already giving the same bad attitude she gave me earlier to this old gentleman in front of me. When came my turn, she asked me with the same bad attitude who the medicine was for and the name. I gave her the information she needed.
When the time to pay came, I forgot that I had insurance that pays for the medication. Since the ** attitude she gave me initially, I was taken aback by such a ** attitude, that I completely forgot about my insurance. So I told her that, "I have insurance. Can you check please, what it covers and doesn't cover?" She replied with a raised voice, bordering on screaming at me, "Why didn't you give me this information in the beginning?" I told her, "I'm sorry. I forgot." She started huffing and puffing, and rolling her piece of ** eyes at me. She proceeded to talk to this other nice girl, mumbling to her, but this time within hearing distance, "I can't help this **. You help him." Can you believe this **? After I picked my medicine, I felt like ** for being treated like this for no apparent reason. This Megan person should be fired from her job. If you don't like your job, quit. There are hundreds of people out there now that are jobless and wish they can find a job to feed their family. And this horrible ** is making people feel like ** for giving her business that's keeping her employed.

My parents strictly use the Walmart pharmacy here in town and for some time now, I've been very disappointed in the customer service. We can call in a refill at 9am when the pharmacy opens, and go to pick it up at 6pm in the evening, and it still has to be waited on, because its not ready yet. There are two pharmacists, and neither of them, are what I would consider friendly at all.
The reason I have finally decided to make this complaint, is because I take care of my parents medications, and last week I went and picked up meds for my father. He was prescribed a blood pressure medication, and his insurance didn't approve it, so the doctor cancelled the medication, and substituted with another.
When I got home with this medication, they had given me the substituted medication but also the original one that the insurance wouldn't cover and the doctor cancelled when he called in the new ones. It really upset me to realize for one if I'd not payed close attention, my father would have been double dosed on this medication, and second, my parents are on limited income, so that $45 for the med that his insurance didn't cover we ended up paying for and my parents just can't afford this.
I contacted the pharmacist and his reply was that he had no control over what my doctor done and it wasn't his argument if we received double doses of medication. I found this to be very disturbing, and uncalled for. I'd like to know, what I can do to put my mind at ease, and be assured this doesn't happen again. The economic damage was $45 that my parents can't afford, and as I mentioned they are on a fixed income.

When she went up to the counter to pick up her medicine, the clerk loudly and in front of other customers told her she cut in line and had to wait just like everyone else. My sister was sick, out of medicine and by this time having trouble walking. This may seem like nothing to some people but my sister is an upbeat, sweet person who is considerate of others. This clerk embarrassed and humiliated her. If I lived there, this store would be getting to talk to me personally. They made my sister sicker. That angers me. I had to fight tears when she was telling me what the clerk did to her. This was my first time (and would be my last time) to have my prescription filled at this location. First, when I went to the drop-off section, there was this Asian male clerk standing at the computer. I gave him my prescription, instead of asking drug-related or any of that matter, he looked at me and asked me what my ethnicity was and why I changed my name. I thought it was very unprofessional due to code of ethics that he studied from his pharmacy school before graduating. He should know better not to ask such too personal questions. I don't know him as well as he doesn't know me. This would violate the HIPAA law for privacy purposes.
A few hours later, I called to verify if my prescription was ready, this Asian-accent male clerk picked up the phone. I don't know if he has a hearing problem or lack of communications, he asked for my birthday, I told him. He had to ask me three times for the birthday and tried to giggle about his mistake. Moreover, when I picked up my prescription, the street address was spelled incorrectly. This happened at Huntington Beach, CA Walmart store location. I have nothing against Asian or other races since I am in the healthcare field myself, but I believe that this type of unprofessional behavior should be eliminated. Thank you for listening to my three-cent comment.

My Doctor ordered 20 units of ** insulin daily. It comes in 10ml vials. I was charged for 50 doses. The problem is, the medication expires 28 days after opening the vial. There is no way to get 50 doses from one vial. Upon questioning Walmart, they insisted this is their policy. They even placed a black magic marker line, through the "discard by" date. The box plainly states to discard after 28 days. In addition to attempting to charge me for 22 dose of medication I could not use, they are in the practice of dispensing medication with these guidelines that can cause serious harm to someone unaware of the discard date.
I have been trying to speak with the director of Health and Wellness in Walmart's corporate Arkansas office regarding this issue. This policy must be changed. This would mean that if the hundreds of thousands of prescriptions they fill for insulin yearly are filled utilizing this policy, Medicare and part D providers, are paying much than they should in each instance. I believe this warrants investigation on two important issues: Consumer Pricing Fraud / Medicare/Insurance Fraud and Potential harm to patients who follow their instruction to use expired medication.
The pharmacy told me, answering my question, that they purchase these vials in case lots. Charging per dose for a medication that is not "unit dosed" is the same as asking someone what size glass they use before selling them a 2 liter bottle of pop. If they answer "16 oz, they are charged for 4 servings. If they answer 4 oz. they are charged for 16 servings. As a Former nurse and respiratory therapist, I am speaking from experience in dispensing medications to my own patients. Someone, or actually many people will be harmed both financially and physically by this bad practice should it continue.
I have tried to resolve this at the store level. I was told it is company policy. They refunded part of my money "just this once" but missed the bigger issue in our discussions. It wasn't about my money. The fact that the medication would be expired before it was finished and would not be effective for patients receiving it dispensed in this manner was my concern. I called 1-800-walmart and filed a complaint (at the pharmacy's suggestion). I also filed a complaint with the North Carolina Pharmacy Board. I doubt that this practice is common to only one store one state or one region.

Avoid Walmart and go to a local 24-hour pharmacy.
If the Walmart pharmacy is closed during regular business hours and has completed filling your prescription, there is no way to get it until the pharmacy decides to open again. It cannot be picked up at other Walmart pharmacy stores.
Walmart's Pharmacy irresponsibility and negligence caused me to miss dosages of my medication and experience severe withdrawals.
Walmart notified me via text message that my prescription was ready to be picked up and the pharmacy was open but upon my arrival at 2pm, the pharmacy was closed for the day. When I explained to the store manager that it was vital that I pick up the medicine and if a pharmacist could be called in, he said that the pharmacy was closed and nothing could be done. He also said that no other Walmart pharmacy was open in Atlanta. I found an open Walmart pharmacy but they could not fill my prescription without the approval of the store at which I had submitted my prescription and that store was closed.
I am shocked that Walmart closed their pharmacy during regular business hours without any way to address the emergency medical needs of customers. Walmart also notified me that it was open and prescription was ready when it wasn't and there was no pharmacist on call.
Hopefully, the pharmacy will be open tomorrow. The withdrawals from my missed dosage are severe and miserable and since my prescription has already been filled, insurance will not pay for a second prescription from my doctor.

This pharmacy routinely fails to complete my prescriptions after their robotic telephone system informs me that "your prescription has been refilled and is awaiting pick up". Often I will run completely out at which time they offer me three-six tablets (one to two day supply) until it can be refilled. Today they informed me that they shorted my prescription because they had already given me six tablets. I said you shorted me 12 tablets so the math isn't accurate. Furthermore you had already provided those six tablets because you shorted me last month. Last month it took three trips to get the single prescription refilled. The pharmacist or technician said, "Yeah, well that looks like all we can give you".
I said that isn't how they are written out by the doctor nor has it been a problem anywhere else, or even there up until several months ago. She said, "Unfortunately there's nothing else we can do, are you out or something?" I said no, I am not out; I am simply tired of running out there multiple times to get a single prescription, especially now I will be forced to return just before Christmas and don't want to deal with that line or the crowd again".
Her reply, "Yeah, as I said that is all we can give you; the prescription has expired". I then informed her, "This prescription has not expired, it has two refills remaining on it. Are you capable and willing to refill my prescription one month at a time or should I seek another pharmacy?" She then said, "You know, I am trying to remember, there may have been a supply problem or something". I then asked, "Can you give me the balance of my prescription or not?" She said no. I hung up.

I live my life in a way as to be of the most benefit to my fellow man. I called the Wal-Mart Pharmacy and told them of my situation. The pharmacy technician told me she and the person who filled the prescription were working and I did receive 30 tablets. At this point, I have informed my doctor and also attempted to talk with Wal-Mart, yet on the fourth call, the pharmacy told me they would review the security tapes and call me with information.
I have not heard from Wal-Mart yet and at this point I am planning on taking a half tablet for a few days. Yet, I payed the full price of over $100 and I expect to either be treated fairly or to boycott Wal-Mart. I have some pull in the information and technology area and I have thought about setting up a web site just to make people aware of the poor treatment and bad service I received.

The pharmacy has often been a problem but approximately every three prescriptions they won't give me a receipt and I have to ask for one. Today, I went to get prescriptions for my mother and myself through the drive-thru window. They were taking a long time, about 15 minutes and I called them and they said the scripts were on the way. Again, there was no receipt so I asked for one. They said that the manager would have to be called and it would take another 15 minutes. It did take almost that and they called and said that my mother's easy pay credit card info was bad and not accepted (when I got home, I checked it on the website and it is correct as well as mine).
They wanted her card. We sent it and then they sent her medicine out with a receipt to sign. I asked them to update her info and they said that they could not do it and we had to do it. Then a few minutes later I had to call my my meds since we were still waiting. They wanted my card too. I asked why and they said that they needed it to process my meds. I asked why since my info was correct and she replied "I don't know". I sent it and then they wanted my driver's license. This has been over thirty minutes now and I lost my cool and said "No forget it, cancel my meds and send my card back. I'm going to CVS".
She went away and came back and said that she still needed my driver's license to cancel the card. I said if you already ran the card through and it worked then why are you asking for my driver's license now?" She said that she was told to ask for it. I asked by whom and she said the store manager. So, I told her that I don't know what they were doing with all this info today but we never had problems like this before and we aren't coming back. She shut off the monitor and then later sent my card and driver's license back. That's approx 40 minutes at the window with no good explanations, no apologies, and lost two customers. I have been lied to face to face many times. If you have not had complaints on this pharmacy, I am sure it is due to the people thinking it would not do any good, as I have done for the past two years. My bronchitis is no better because of their medication. Actually the home remedies I have used are far more effective. I want to know how these companies are allowed to charge exorbitant rates for inferior quality products.

Took presciptions for both my husband and myself into the Walmart in Corsicana, Texas. I was told they were about to close for lunch. They would not take my prescriptions. When I returned and the clerk asked if I was going to wait, I was told in store, wait would be an hour or more. I said yes I would wait then I decided not to wait and called my daughter to pick them up on her way home. This was at 2:30pm. At 5:30pm, my order was not ready. It was after 6:30pm before it was ready and then they informed her one order was only a partial. This is not the first time this has happened. They also have told me they have called or faxed the doctor to authorize a generic and when I called the doctor, I was told no, they had not.

Great job! 9/21/10. I needed to price insulin for my dog. Yes, my dog "Fred." I went to the pharmacy. She could not have been more generous with her time and knowledge. I wish I got her name. She explained Wal-Mart worked hard with a company to lower prices for us. To my surprise, she told me the price for the same insulin I have been paying $54.99 plus tax is $24.88. Hats off to you guys! Look at the savings. Thank you very much. My receipt says 9/21/10 10:43 am. So the lady at the pharmacy was there around 10:15 am. Wal-Mart just backed up the commercials.

Once I arrived at the counter, the representative advised me the prescription could not be filled because it was expired (however the prescription will not expire until 8/21) upon further research she advised me she could not fill the prescription because the prescription was picked up on 9-8. I proceeded to advised the clerk I did not pick up the prescription and needed to speak to a manager. The pharmacy manager came to the counter and stated there was nothing he could do and the prescription was old anyway.
The store manager James ** and a shift supervisor named Jeanette also came to me and I began to tell Jeanette my situation. She advised me there was nothing she can do. She became frustrated with me and walked away, at this point James called her and asked her to come back. James proceeded to tell me he understood how I felt but how can he understand how I feel when within the same sentence he told me there was nothing he could do for me. Jeanette, the pharmacist and the three pharmacy clerks were behind the counter talking about me as if it was my fault they gave my prescription to someone else.
I work for a specialty pharmacy and if we mailed the wrong prescription to the incorrect patient, our representative will be trained and coached accordingly, no one seemed to care my prescription was given to the wrong patient. So many things were violated for instance HIPAA and other thing. I am so disappointed on how I was treated. I cannot believe no one cared or even wanted to help me. I hope none of them go through what I went through with a life threatening situation.

When I went to fill my script and was told they (Walmart) would not fill my script because it had two controlled substances on it, I got extremely mad, but I did not want to fight with them. Rather I demanded my script back and told them they lost a customer and left. If a doctor prescribes medicines, who are they to say we won’t fill it? Are the pharmacies in charge of your medical care or are the doctors? So, I'm sitting here now in extreme pain because the Walmart pharmacy would not fill the script my doctor gave me because they said people could kill themselves with two scripts like these.

Planning a vacation over the weekend, I realized that one of my medications was going to run out during the vacation. So on Monday morning, Aug. 30, 2010, I phoned my local Walmart pharmacy to explain my plans for a vacation and how early could I pick up the prescription. I was informed by the pharmacy technician that I could pick it up on Friday, Sept. 3, 2010, so I planned accordingly. On Thursday afternoon, the 2nd, I called Walmart Pharmacy and requested the refill. I was told it would be ready by 11AM Friday, 3rd. Friday, Aug. 3, 2010, I phoned the pharmacy to see if the prescription was ready and was referred to the Pharmacy Manager. The manager informed me that they could not fill the prescription until Sunday, Aug. 5, 2010.
I asked why and explained that I had phoned twice before. I had planned a vacation around this date and I was told by the Pharmacy Manager that even though their computer says that it could be filled that day, Aug. 3, 2010, the computer was wrong and he could not fill it until the 5th regardless of what the computer said. "DHEC would not allow it", not the DEA. As I was under the impression that they controlled prescriptions, not the Dept. of Health and Environmental Control, that made me suspicious. Then I've heard the "computer's wrong and I'm right" before and the result is always in favor of the computer. Rather than ditching the labor day vacation, I phoned my local CVS pharmacy. I asked them if they could check on the prescription at Walmart for me and if there's anything they could do. They did and informed me that they could have it ready in 30 minutes.
When I picked it, I asked about the guidelines they used. Was it different than Walmart? I was told that the guidelines are made through the DEA and their computer system reflects that. If their computer says it can be filled today, it can be filled today. The pharmacist did not know what system Walmart used, so I told him the story and he just chuckled.

I stopped in today Sunday August 29,2010 to pick up a few items and most of all my prescription from the pharmacy. As I approached the pharmacy, there were two customers ahead of me so I waited for my turn to be waited on. After waiting approximately 10 minutes The clerk (Diane) finished waiting on the customer that was ahead of me for some apparent reason stepped over to consultation area leaving me standing there and started talking to one of the employees working in the back who was helping a customer that had just walked up to that window.
Diane came from behind the counter and proceeded to helping this person that had just walked up to the window so I just continue to wait as she was about to return another person wanted her to help them and I said to my self enough is enough. I am not going to be ignored any longer so I raised my voice at her and told her that I have been standing in line waiting and you are helping those people. They just walked up just like the other lady I want my prescription now. She had the audacity to tell me that she was helping her customers. I said to her and what do you think that I am. I was devastated she ran my blood pressure up and I told her. I also told her that I was taking her name and reporting this bad customer service to management.
I attempted to speak to the store manager while I was there in the store but was told that he was not there today. I was told that I could speak to one of the other managers on duty and I did. She asked me what happened. And I explained to her my experience at the Pharmacy with Diane. She said that she would speak to her and that if I felt that I wanted to report a complaint to the home office that was my right. Her attitude and demeanor toward me is what made me report her. Usually, I don't let things like this get to me because of my health but as I stated earlier enough is enough.

It was opening and seeing a huge line waiting for the pharmacy might promote being disgruntled. But this line is also what I want to discuss. At 9.15 am, I was standing in line at the pharmacy. There were 8 people behind me, 5 in front of me and only one cashier. I have been in retail for 20 years and this is not good customer service to have that big line and one cashier. Some people were upset and needing their medidine so they can get to work. Apparently this line and problem is quite common according to others standing in line. Thank you!

Following my 10 month old son's surgery, I dropped off 3 prescriptions to be filled and said I would return for them in a short time. I returned a little less than 2 hours later only to be told that they didn't have 2 of them. One of them was crucial to prevent spasms and pain. They did not bother to call and inform me of this, but said they would locate a pharmacy that could fill the medications. One of the 2 unfilled prescriptions was located and phoned to another pharmacy a common antibiotic that Walmart didn't have! The medication for spasm and pain would have to be located and phoned somewhere else.
After watching my son cry in pain for a little over 3 hours, I phoned the pharmacist who said she had not been able to find it. I made 1 phone call to the local Walgreens and was able to locate the medication. I called Wal-Mart back and asked them to please phone the Walgreens ASAP because my son was in terrible pain. The pharmacist said she would do that. But after arriving at the Walgreens 30 minutes later, they said they had not received the info from Wal-Mart. I realize the pharmacist is busy, but I find it unconscionable that they would make a 10 month old baby wait for over 4 hours in pain. In addition, I have no idea how long it would have been if I had not called to follow up on the matter. This is just another example of the poor service customers receive at Wal-Mart pharmacies. Absolutely ridiculous. 10 month old infant in severe pain for over 4 hours after reconstructive surgery.

Wow. my mother went to fill her prescriptions at Wal-Mart like usual and to what a surprise, more problems every time-- but this last time, I thought corporate should know. My mother had a 30day ** script that had no refills and her new script was a 90 day script. They filled filled the 30 instead. What are they doing? Do they know how to do their job? We called and had that problem fixed but my main concern is Dr. ** prescribed her 180 vials of ** which ends up being 540 ml. Well the pharmacist keeps giving my mom 180 ml instead which is only 60 vials and only lasted my mom bout two weeks. When we bring it up to the pharmacist to have filled, they refused to give her 180 vials, only 180 ml and their response is, "Well, your doctor is wrong. 180 vials is too much."
So let me ask you who the hell is a pharmacist to say the doctor is wrong. My mom has COPD and emphemia and now because she been dealing with this for several months with your pharmacist, she is now on oxygen tanks. Let me tell you, if she gets her medicine to take like the doctor wants she would not be as bad as she is now but my mom don't like to complain or have an argument with anybody so she has been just dealing with it. Well because your pharmacist is only giving her half of her vials so she isn't getting the proper amount of medicine her doctor requires. She is getting worse. If this don't get fixed, I will be contacting FDA and BBB then my lawyer. Because of you my mom is worse and this will be addressed or I will take farther action but for now I am giving you the opportunity to fix this issue. I went to Walmart to fill my wife's prescriptions. I needed to refill her ** 70mg and her vitamin D 50k tablets. I was told that I would have to come back for the ** because it was too early for them to be able to refill. They could refill the vitamin D however. I don't believe this as both prescriptions were given to her by the doctor on the same day and both were previously filled by the same Walmart on the same day. I believe it is a tactic used by Walmart to force customers to come back to Walmart stores. The more you are at Walmart the more you will spend there.
The following week when I returned to pick up the prescription the line was 6 customers deep and I only needed these pills. I wasn't going to wait 45 minutes to get the pills. Only 1 cashier was working and things were going very slow. I turned around and left and had to return another day. There is no logical reason why I should not have been able to get both prescriptions filled with my 1st visit.
I wouldn't be so upset except this has happened with her regular prescriptions also. I feel it is Walmart's way of getting you back in the store. Also, they didn't say they didn't have the prescriptions they said "they couldn't be filled because I was trying to fill the prescription to early". It is no different than when they say they don't have enough pills and I will have to return in a few days to fill the rest of the prescription. It just means another trip to their store. I am sure they smile all the way to bank with that.

I went into the Walmart pharmacy to get my prescription filled as I have for the previous 5 months. I handed the lady my prescription, she looked at it and said they cannot fill it because it was not from that town. I recently moved from Largo, FL up to Crawfordville, FL in February 2010. I told her they had filled it since March. She said they have a new policy; they will not fill any prescription that isn't from a local doctor. My doctor that I've been seeing for the past 12 years is located in Okeechobee, FL. He has been the only doctor that has been able to help me and I was fortunate to find him.
She then said, “We especially won't fill any prescription from South Florida.” I've been unemployed since January 2010, lost my house in Largo, FL. I don't have the luxury of health insurance anymore. And she told me I need to use a "local doctor". I felt very discriminated against. This just says to me I can't pick my own doctor in any town I want and save money on prescriptions that I can't afford anyway. Thank goodness CVS didn't have the same ridiculous policy even though it costs more. Walmart, in my opinion, is trying to create a monopoly for doctors in Crawfordville, FL which is just wrong.

I live a couple blocks from this pharmacy. I spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars in medication every month, but I am getting so upset with the poor customer service this pharmacy has. Every time when someone comes to drop off a prescription, you can stand waiting and waiting in front of the technician at the window. And if they are doing something on the computer or doing something else, they will ignore you and they will not greet the person by saying hello or hi to you; they will not even say, "I will be right with you." I think that for a place like this, they should have better, courteous personnel. The clerks at pick up end, they are really nice; but the pharmacy techs have no customer service at all.
The other day, I dropped off a prescription that should be charge to a workers’ comp case. They told me that workers comp would not pay for it, so I told them to run it thru my insurance. They did and I end up paying for the co-pay. They told me they were going to run again after it was approved by the case worker and that I should get a refund after workers comp pays for it. Three days later, I talked to the case worker and she told me that she has approved some medication for Walmart pharmacy. I went back to the pharmacy and I spoke with a tech. She told me that I never paid nothing for that medication. That really bothered me because basically she was calling me a liar. I went home and I brought back proof that I had paid for the medication. She still insisted that I never paid for it. Then she went to her computer and she tried to tell me that I picked up some other medication that day. I told her, “No.” That was the only medication I picked up and there was another regular medication that was filled that day (07/31/10) along with the pain medication, but I only pick up the pain medication.
My regular medication just had pick it up that day (08/06/10), after 1/2 hour prior to all this. I told her, “I just picked up my other meds about 1/2 hour ago and I can bring you the receipt.” She insisted this was the meds I had picked up a few days before. I end up leaving the pharmacy very upset with no refund and the worst part that really upset me was that she basically said I was a liar.

It takes a lot for me to take the time to write and make a complaint but I have just had it with your service, it's the worst.
The Wal-Mart Pharmacy's in general have a very bad track record of screwing up my orders for a long time now. I drive an extra 10 miles to the Pharmacy on Truxel Rd in Natomas, CA just because they seemed to be the only Wal-Mart Pharmacy that could get my orders correct. Now, Donna, the girl who ran that Pharmacy, has left and this Pharmacy has become a mess like all the other ones.
I have been a customer of your Pharmacy for over 10 years spending at least $ 300.00 a month out of my pocket since I have no insurance. My prescription for ** is a life threatening order and can not be missed due to a Liver Transplant in 1997. I truly don't trust your facilities at all, I can never trust that I can put in an order and it will be there. I can't tell you how many times I have gone to pick up my order and it was not ready, even days after placing it and no phone calls to tell me there is a problem. None at all.
This time, I called in my **. I told them they had to transfer the Prescription from the Huntington Beach, Walmart. The girl on the phone looked it up, found it and said it was done, then asked if I wanted generic and I said yes. She said they had to order it and it would take an extra day, I said fine. 3 days later, I go into your Pharmacy and they told me my doctor had not approved the order. My prescription still had one refill on it. Then I asked what Doctor denied the refill and they sent it to my General Doctor not the Transplant Center Doctor. I told them this and then they said they didn't have the information for the Transplant Center. I have been going to this same pharmacy for over 10 years and gotten all of my ** from there and they don't know my Doctors information. Well you did at some point, you have lost it then?
In the meantime, I am totally out. They still don't have approval. I told them there is still one refill left on the old one and now they tell me on a Friday, it will be Monday before the order can be ready. I am out of a life threatening medication, I can't wait for Monday! I told the guy behind the counter he needs to give me at least 6 pills to hold me until Monday and he didn't even speak to me. He kept doing things on the computer and ignoring me until about 5 minutes later he gives me 6 pills after I mentioned it 3 times to him.
I seriously doubt that my prescription will be ready when I come in on Monday. If there is a problem, no one will call and I will drive nearly 20 miles for nothing as I have done in the past. Sure I will call first now but your people are total **. I am sorry to use that kind of language but it's a fact. I have had this kind of problem at almost every Wal-Mart Pharmacy I have been to, even had one give me my order of 60 pills that only had 30 pills in the bottle but was charged full price.

I went in to the store on Friday, July 23. to pick up a refill prescription that I had called in. The woman running the register couldn't find the refill. I asked if there was a problem and I was presented with 2 duplicate receipts from prescriptions I had picked up on July 12 and July 16. They claimed that I had not paid for the 2 prescriptions. I was stunned and asked them how that could possibly happen when they were run through the register with my weekly grocery purchases. The woman said, "Well, sometimes the cashiers fail to scan the prescriptions." I asked her how that makes the error my fault.
Then she tells me they have a report that shows I walked out without paying and asked me to pay her. I told her that I believed I did pay and wouldn't pay for them again because of their mistake. She told me to look for my receipt to prove I had paid. I don't normally keep weekly grocery receipts and I told her that. The pharmacist in the back was mouthing off the entire time and the cashier finally told her I would look for my receipts and call back. I was forced to pay for latest prescription at the pharmacy. I walked away humiliated and was crying by the time I reached the door.
I brooded over the mistake all weekend and went in on Monday to try and straighten things out. I was treated like a common criminal the entire time I was there. I asked for a copy of the report and they refused. I asked to see it and they refused. They finally admitted that the report is just a print out of everyone that picked up a prescription! I asked to speak with the supervising pharmacist and I was told she wouldn't be in until the next day. I asked that she be called to come in and speak with me and the woman got in my face and said, "She won't be in until tomorrow! "
I handed her a print out from the Alabama Board of Pharmacy that states a supervising pharmacist must be on site or able to be there in no more than 30 minutes. That made the entire group mad. I finally just asked for my total and wrote a check and told them I wouldn't be back. The cashier stapled my receipt to the duplicate receipts of my prescriptions. I asked her if I walked out if it would show up on the report that I had not paid. She sarcastically said in front of everyone, "It's just two little pieces of paper!". I asked her to just answer me and she finally said no, it wouldn't show on the report.
I did speak to the store manager and he couldn't have cared less. He said his hands were tied as far as the pharmacy. I was so angry and humiliated that I just left the store. They didn't care that they had slandered me, falsely accused me with no proof, and caused me to pay twice for 2 prescriptions. I am a widow raising a disabled son. My prescriptions have to be purchased along with groceries to remain within budget. I had to make an extra trip to the store to try and reconcile the problem. Paying twice for prescriptions has caused an economic hardship. I just don't understand how they can be allowed to do that.

On my first attempt on 7-1-10, all of my medications were not on the report. So after explaining the error to the tech, I was told I would have to call on the next day to rectify error. I called in 6 Rx's to be refilled not 5, called back on 7-2-10 thinking I had given them time enough
I returned to pick up the report. This time they could not pull it up in the system but finally with the assistance from another tech it came up. Before leaving, I double checked to make sure everything was correct and pointed out two refills were not on the list. They said I had no more refills on my ** which appeared on unsold Rx's dated 7-1-10 or **. I never picked them up, I was assured they would all be ready for pickup on 7-6-10.

There is no need of making a customer wait almost two and a half hours for a medicine to be filled when they said one hour. This happens a lot and not just with me. Another complaint is the customers smoking in front of the main doors where you go in. There is a state law saying that they have to be so many feet away from the doors. Some people don't care. So we pay out-of-pocket and when I say that, the idiots will not process the prescription or will delay for as long as three days. Because of this, my wife has gone at least a week without her medication. This has been going on for the last three months and they still don't get it.
My wife is high risk pregnant and is taking the required medication as prescribed by her doctor. The pharmacy is continually dragging its feet on refilling my wife's prescription causing her to go as long as a week without her medication. Its aggravating and causing undue stress and strain to my wife's delicate condition.

I changed my prescriptions from CVS to Walmart about six months ago to save some money. Since there are several (7), I try to get them filled at the same time. Every single time, there has been something wrong. Either they are not all ready, they have run out of the medication, or they only have the medication in blister packs. And today (which broke the camel's back), they couldn't find one of my medicines in their system. Even though three months ago, they refilled it and I showed them their bottle! They said that I would have to call the doctor and get another sent. Needless to say, I did call the doctor.
However, I told them to transfer all my prescriptions back to CVS! Walmart pharmacy is a joke and I have had enough of the customer no service! Get this, in less than an hour, CVS called me and said that they had received my prescriptions from the doctor and asked what I was out of and how could they help me! Now, that is customer service! I learned a valuable lesson about customer service: "The bitter taste of customer 'no service' lingers much longer than the sweet taste of a cheap price!"

They refused to do this and I had to return the next day for the generic. I had been sick with shingles since the 12 of April, but only confirmed on the 4-19-10. My daughter returned to the hospital and was given a script for another anti-viral. This didn't work well at all. As of July 8, I am still suffering with shingles. Physician's Mutual says I need to get the money back from Walmart and they say contact the insurance company. Walmart got the money twice so I would like my money back. With Wal-Mart having the deals on prescriptions, they sure lack the ability to hire the appreciate people behind the counter at the South Point Store. I went in to get my medication filled and of course got the run around yet again. The male pharmacist at that time was rude in answering me. When I got home I thought I should have got his name and called to obtain that. He told me the person that answered it was none of my business and I told them it was. He called me back and told me that I didn't need his name and for me to never come into that store again. I reminded him that he has to give his name for he is the very one that keep us alive. I realize these pharmacists go to school almost as long as a doctor but if they choose to play doctor, then they should have done just that. They can not trump my script just because of a bad day and then call me to tell me not to return.
I called the store manager who told me that they had no control over what the pharmacy did or does. A lot of help there! He also couldn't tell me who did! Why not? I can't recall this pharmacist’s name but I'm sure it's on my records there of which I could point out directly. I found it on the initials of course and went to the Wal-Mart to check his plaque that I'm sure he forgot was over his head. He must have forgotten to obey his oath in order to get his degree to begin with. Some manner of keeping people alive!
I went about a year before doing anymore business with them. I will only go there when money forces me to. I yet again had to go there for two prescriptions that were way too much for me to get elsewhere or believe me I would have. At the rate of even Wal-Mart's cost I could only take half of it. I called for my refills which said I have 3 until 01-2011 and one went through fine, yet the other did not. I called and talked to them asking them what the situation was. It was for ** 150 mgs and the pharmacist that I was told to talk with had left for lunch. I was told to call back later. I did just that to find out that she had gone. I then was talking to another pharmacist. He (David) told me that Amanda was gone and that she put a stop on it, but there was nothing in on it that warranted that from the doctor and he wasn't sure why she done it.
Yet he couldn't fill it until he talked with her. Now, mind you, he was also a pharmacist. I was polite but this gets old and to have to do without medication, which I've had to do several times over and over isn't much of a pharmacy to begin with. Any pharmacist that closes a prescription down for the very refills on it without explanation should allow the other to fill it. Amanda should have at the least been required by law to put down the reason this was done. It can only be a mistake just as the pharmacist told me it appeared but he had to check with her first. Thank God I had one pill left when I called and I told him to get it right with her and call me tomorrow. I hope they do that but who knows, I may be told not to return again!
To be honest I don't know where these pharmacists come from or how much they are getting paid but this store at 1478 must be checked. They don't need warnings before someone does something; they need someone in plain clothes to watch how they deal with you. See how rude all the workers are and don't dare take anything in there for pain! You will be treated like a white trash drug pusher even though I have four ruptured vertebra into my spinal cord! I don't owe all my ailments to them. They just need to do their job! Period! Someone needs to get this checked before this pharmacy is sued and closed because if I go one more time and have any of the same situation to occur again, I will get in touch with the process through the State of Ohio to make a formal complaint that does more than allows me to vent on an online form! That I can promise everyone that reads this and to that store in general. I’m sick of this treatment! We are not dogs!
The first time I had to go through withdrawal it was so severe that it was almost a situation for the emergency room. I was taking a strong pain pill and muscle relaxers that was to be filled when it occurred. The second time was today, which is 06-22-2010! As I’ve stated of which drug it was and I did have one pill left. This is the very reason I don’t care for that pharmacy. It costs friendly but the staff are so ** up that they take peoples lives into their own hands. This must stop and I will testify to that for anyone, along with look up that pharmacy name that told me not to return and the date on it as well. It was less than one year ago!

My complaint is about an incident dated 11/17/09 during which a pharmacist, Brian K., employed at the Wal-Mart store located in Warminster, PA refused to give me a proper and courteous service. Instead, he and the security guard on duty subjected me to extreme insults and humiliation. When I approached the manager on duty, he crudely disregarded my request to have a joint meeting of all involved to resolve the problem. Instead, this manager sided with his employees and further joined them in their malicious assault. There have been two other incidences in which the same pharmacist had intimidated me in front of other people making the 11/17/09 incidence the third assault on me from him. Completely frustrated and depressed by the incident, I filed a written complaint with the Customer Relations Manager, Wal-Mart Corporate Offices on 11/22/09. A copy of my 11/22/09 complaint to Wal-Mart Corporate Office is herewith attached to describe the incidence in detail which I urge you to read first.
To this date Wal-Mart has given no written response to this complaint. Instead, between 11/17/09 and 12/17/09, the corporate office had two assistant managers, both from the Warminster store (and their names not recognized at the store), and a Marketing Manager, Mike **, call me. All these individuals refused to get a copy of my complaint filed at the corporate office. Instead, each insisted on me giving them my long verbal statement which I ended up giving to them over and over again. When I asked them how I would know the truthfulness or the accuracy of what they noted down as my statement, they ignored the question.
During all my verbal statements, the Wal-Mart managers repeated the same question, "Did you throw things at the pharmacist?" Each time, I told them that "I did not throw anything at the pharmacist. And that I only tried to pass on my prescription slips and my insurance card to him over the counter so he could call my insurance company to determine the co-pay for a drug". Even the police officer who the pharmacist called on me asked me the same question, and I gave him the same answer.
During my conversation with Mr. **, he sounded very biased in favor of his employees but he did offer to talk to them. Noticing his bias, I asked him to get the answers to the following specific questions I had: 1) What did I throw at the pharmacist so he had to call the police? 2) When both me and the pharmacist argued equally, and neither called names or became physical, what Wal-Mart-given right did the pharmacist have to call the police on me? 3) When the pharmacist threatened to call the police, I walked away from him saying that I was going to see the store manager. Therefore, if I was walking away from him, why did the pharmacist, or he and the store manager together, still call the police? 4) When I asked the store manager to resolve the dispute by having a joint meeting of all involved in his office, why did he have to make the crude remark "I am not taking you to my office!", as if I had committed some big crime? 5) Why has the security guard not been questioned by Wal-Mart about making the following insensitive remark to me when I was already walking out of the store, "You can't go out! You have been giving us a hard time. Now it is your turn!" considering that this guard did not know any part of my story?
Mr. ** called me on 12/18/09. He gave no answers to my questions as he promised. All he said was that he watched the video; and that he did not want his employees mistreated. He then added that I had the right to shop at Wal-Mart. What did he mean by his last patronizing but unhelpful statement? After several further calls to the Wal-Mart corporate customer service, Mr. Kevin **, the Wal-Mart Regional Director, called me on 1/20/09. Mr. ** also took verbal statement from me, and I again repeated my specific questions to which he said he will investigate and get back with me with the answers.
He called me on 1/26/09. He also said he watched the video but admitted that he only saw some paperwork being handed and saw nothing thrown at the pharmacist. As for my other questions, he only said he was sorry that arguments rose to that level of disruption. This sounded like covering up for his employees because all along the reason to call the police was "throwing things" and now Mr. ** suddenly changed it to "a disruption". I did not go to Wal-Mart to cause disruption. All I wanted was courtesy, like every one else, but instead all I got was intimidation and harassment by three Wal-Mart employees who ganged up on me and later corroborated by their superiors. Calling the police was malicious, uncalled for and discriminatory. The problem should have been resolved by a meeting as I had requested. I therefore asked Mr. ** to send me his final response in writing or I would proceed to seek legal help. However, since then, I have not received any response from Mr. **. or anyone else from Wal-Mart.
In the police report (a copy of which I only got in February), the pharmacist has asked the police officer to advise me that "I was no longer welcome at the store". This is a harassment combined with an utmost arrogance. Wal-Mart, amongst other things, must question the pharmacist as to who gave him the right to make a corporate decision of that magnitude! Also, Wal-Mart must be asked to retract its employees' action of calling the police, with a copy to me and stating that calling the police was a mistake and should not have been committed. This relief must be provided to me by Wal-Mart because a police record, even if benign, can harm or jeopardize my future financial and professional dealings with various organizations, and the proper considerations of my applications to these organizations.
It is evident from the series of events that took place that the three above-mentioned Wal-Mart employees, who were all white Caucasians, intimidated and harassed me because of the difference they saw in my national origin. Furthermore, their superiors showed a clear bias because they religiously took side of their employees and gave no due consideration to my concerns and welfare. These were acts of discrimination and there must be some legal compensation for which they must be held responsible. There is no way Wal-Mart can show that its employees treated a customer the way they did to provide a minor service, and that its managers acted the way they did to resolve a problem, when that customer was a white Caucasian, or even a person without a foreign accent.
In February of this year, after being denied any reasonable relief by Wal-Mart, I filed complaints with the Office of Attorney General of PA, and the FTC Bureau of Consumer Protection, but neither has taken any action so far. I now need help to know where and how else to file the complaint.

I started using Walmart Pharmacy about five months ago and the 90% of this time, I have had to deal with the girl by the name of Tanisha. The rudest girl I have ever had to deal with. Two months ago, I picked my medicine up (muscle relaxer) to find out the next day that all were gone except for three (total of 60 count). My wife and I panicked thinking that somehow our three-year old son had gotten into them, only to find out after extensive search in the house that Walmart shorted me the prescription without letting me know. I called to complain that they should have told me. Of course, I get this same Tanisha girl that is rude to me once more.
Well, this past Saturday, I had the privilege of dealing with this rude girl again. She tried to tell me that insurance would not cover a prescription that I have been getting for the past five months. When I asked her if it was generic, she said no and I told her that that's why. She talked to the pharmacist and he said they would fix it. After waiting about 15 minutes, I ask her if she had any idea how much longer it would be because I had some things I needed to do, only to hear her respond, "I don't know. I'm not the one filling it." This type of person doesn't deserve job. I'm just tired of having to deal with this Tanisha and her rudeness and can solve the problem by going back to original pharmacy. I have experienced many problems with Walmart No. 3489 located in Rosedale, MD. The only reason I am writing is because I have left this store on three separate occasions crying and with good reasons. My problems started one day during the snowstorm this past winter. I could not have my prescriptions filled because I didn't have all my insurance information. This information could have been accessed through the computer. This was the least of my problems. I was changing insurance companies and most of my prescription refills had to be transferred from Medco, a mail order pharmacy. After dropping off one of the prescription bottles on a Friday afternoon, I was told by the pharmacist that transfers could not be done on weekends. He explained that it is too difficult to reach the appropriate people. So I returned on Monday going without my ** all weekend. In another time, I dropped off my bottle to be transferred and was told it would take 24 hours and it was store policy. I told the technician that I just got off the phone with the Medco Pharmacy and it would take less than five minutes for the entire transaction. He still refused to call.
Now comes the bad issues. The reason I decided to use Walmart for all my prescriptions is the price of one medicine. I take ** 20 mg q12hr for pain management. After calling all local pharmacies, Walmart had the best price at $354.36. (The prices ranged from $354.36 to close to $1000.) After talking with Ms. Sunny **, I was informed to make sure I drop off the prescription 7 to 10 days to order the medication. I dropped off my prescription for ** on March 9, 2010. Two weeks later, I returned to pick up my prescription. Sunny ** told me that it was ordered twice and still hasn't come in. I was out of the medication and no one bothered calling me.
Now I had to call everywhere locally to find my medication. Stamps and labels had to be removed from the original prescription. I drove frantically to Perry Hall to fill my medication. Ms. Sunny ** reassured me that the medication would be there next month. After picking up two medications on April 17, 2010, one being the **, the price was close to $500. I didn't bother to check the prices until I arrived home. I knew the ** was $354.36 and I assumed the other medication made up the difference. The price on the ** was $489.79 after my insurance was deducted. This could not be right. I was quoted the price at $354.36. I called Walmart-Towson No. 5344 and was quoted $354.36. I called Walmart- Nottingham No. 2045 and was quoted a price of $354.36 for ** 20 mg. no. 120. Two other stores were called with the quoted price of $354.36. I returned to Walmart No. 3489 to question the price. Ms. Sunny ** stated that was the old price, the old NDC number. The new price was $604.62. How can Walmart quote one price for a medication and then charge a customer almost double?
As you are well aware, ** is a medication that cannot be discontinued abruptly. If I knew the price was not the quoted price and if I knew I would have so many problems with Walmart's Pharmacy, I would have never crossed their threshold. I left the store several times in tears and upset. I really cannot recommend Walmart Pharmacy to my many friends and family at this time and will probably transfer all my medications once again.

This is not a specific incident. Since Walmart has cut back on all of its help, the pharmacy service has been bad. One tech dropped a whole lot of prescriptions on the floor. They have always been polite and responded quickly. Now, they are harried, and sometimes rude. Walmart is going to lose many more customers. I myself am going to Walgreens. After I got home, I read the information that came with it, opened the bottle, and took a pill. I then read the warnings on the bottle when I then realized this wasn't my prescription. It wasn't my name on the bottle, and it wasn't the same medicine.
I immediately called the pharmacy and told them what had happened. The woman I talked to simply said, "Oh, we've been looking for that bottle of pills!" She didn't seem the least bit concerned that I had just taken a pill that was prescribed for someone else. I asked to talk to a pharmacist, and I told him what had happened and told him what the medicine was. He told me it was safe for me and shouldn't hurt me.
I took it back the next day and talked to the pharmacy manager. I told him I was concerned that this would happen again, and I didn't want this happening to someone else. This could have been life-threatening. I really think they need to change their policies or be more strict with the way they fill the prescriptions. I was told they do an incredible amount of prescriptions each day and get overwhelmed at times. That is an excuse.
They need more help or something, so this doesn't happen again! I was lucky I suffered no ill effects from this medicine, but my concern is that this will happen to someone else who may not fare as well.

When I went to pick up my glasses, I was given a pair that were absolutely the wrong color and size. When I put them on, they were so strong I couldn't see my hand in front of my face. The attendant insisted that I wear them and that my eyes would adjust eventually. I tried that and told her several times that I could not see. She told me in an angry tone that I have ordered them, so now, I was going to have to wear them.
I again explained that I could not see. Finally, after a long time, she checked the box of glasses that had recently arrived at the store only to realize that she had given me the wrong glasses. There was no apology or excuses. So now, we are on to the glasses that are mine. I have had them checked and rechecked and adjusted many times. I have never been able to wear them since they simply do not fit right. All that Walmart will do is adjust them again.

I called in to have my prescription refilled on Tuesday and told the person on the phone that this time I wanted the brand name not the generic. On Wednesday, I called to see if the script was ready and the auto check thing said that they needed to talk to me about my order so I did. They told me that my order was out of refills and to speak with my doctor. I told them yes, I know. I was just at the doctor last week and was okay for another year. They said I was to speak with the doctor and have him call in the refill. I called the doctor's office and they said no, they don't call in refills. The pharmacy faxes in a refill request.
So back with Walmart again on Wednesday. "Please refill my prescription with the brand name this time please." Again on Thursday, same deal. I had to talk with the pharmacist about the refill so I did again. Thursday, still no script ready, I called up, talked to yet another employee, "Please fax in my refill order to the doctor and I want the brand name this time. I will call you back in a few hours to see if it has been done."
So I called back and yes, they have finally faxed in the request but no doctor response yet. "Okay, fine but it better be done today. I have only one pill left. Make sure you fill it with the brand name this time." So a few hours later, I call and it's ready. I go to pick it up and guess what, not only is it not the brand name but they have given me the wrong amount of pills and milligrams, the same as the last order but not the new amount and milligram strength that my doctor just faxed to them! I mean *** this is people's health here, sometimes their lives, they don't know their jobs that it's them who asks for refills. Four different people couldn't put into the computer what I wanted and then they don't even look at what the doctor prescribes! I will never never, never use a Walmart pharmacy again!

Well, he was rude to customers. He leaves the pharmacy without another one in it which is against the law. He told a lady he can only sell one but go to another one and get more. He yells at other employees. The mangers at Walmart refuse to do anything about it I hear. He gave people the wrong medicine. My opinion is he is a very bad pharmacist and can really hurt someone by giving wrong meds. But he covers that up.

I am a cancer patient that has a prescription for ** for pain. My doctor will only give this to me a certain amount at a time. In my case it is 60 pills per prescription. The last few times, it seemed that I was running out of pills before the allotted time. This time, I got a brand new prescription filled for 60 pills and I counted them and there are only 52 pills in the bottle. That is 4 days of medication for me.
When I called the pharmacy, I told them that I thought I had been shorted pills the last time I got then and that this new prescription was eight pills short. They basically told me I was lying. Now because I had to refill my prescription early, I will now have to go to yet another doctor for pain spending money I don't have. I would gladly take a lie detector test on this matter. Aside from changing pharmacies which will cost more money than Walmart, I have no choice. I wonder how many other people they do this to.

I had a ridiculous experience with Walmart Pharmacy today. I ordered a prescription on 02/26/2008, they said the medication is not available and it needs to be ordered. We said okay because I have to start my medication from 03/17/2010, otherwise I should have went to some other pharmacy. The ordered quantity was 15 injections; I have to take this injection everyday one from 3/17/2010, so I thought I have some time so I asked them to order the injection. On 03/12/2010, I went to the store to collect the medication (before that, I called about the order but very poor response over the phone). When I went to pick up the order, I received only 5 injections (1 box) instead of 15 (3 boxes), each box contains 5 injections. After coming home, I realized that there were only 5 injections.
The next day, I ran to the store and told the pharmacist that there should be 3 boxes, which contains 5 injections in each box. She told me, "I am so sorry, it is my mistake. I thought in one box it contains 15. I am going to order again. Please come and collect it within 2 to 3 days". That's where the problem started. They charged me for all 3 boxes. I have been going or calling the store almost everyday and inquiring about the order. Each day, they are telling some story. Meanwhile, I started the injection as I reached the date when I have to start and I started with the one box they gave me. That is sufficient for only 5 days. I explained her very clearly and she understood the situation and said "you will get it surely". I am visiting the store or calling everyday but the response was very poor.
The injections are running out and I went to the store to collect the medicine when only one injection left, I thought the order is ready. But I got panicked after hearing that they never ordered the medicine at all. Somehow it messed up. She apologized and said "definitely, we'll order today and within two days, you will get the order". I asked her about what should I do for the days I have to take the injection. She said, "I am sorry, that's it". It was on Friday and no pharmacy will get the injections until Monday, so irresponsible. Then I went to my doctor's office and explained the situation and my nurse gave me one sample injection for one day as she was 100% sure that I will get the order on Monday, today. I managed one day with the sample from my doctor's office.
When I called Monday morning, somebody picked up the phone and said "no, we did not receive the order yet" and asked me to call back at 2 o' clock. I called at 2 o' clock. Some other guy picked up the phone and said "no, we don't have that medicine yet". I got panicked and started running to some other pharmacies though I paid for the medicine and not received it as it is very important to me to take the dose everyday. I ran to some other pharmacy and asked them to transfer the prescription and they simply transferred.
After some time, some other person from the Walmart pharmacy called me and asked why I transferred the prescription. There is no communication between the employees. Then I said, "somebody from your store said it's not available so I transferred as I have to take the injection by 5:00PM". She said, "we do have the medicine". I got so angry and ran to the store.
There was nobody to talk about it. Standing there for about 15 minutes, finally somebody came and then transferred the prescription back and said "we need prior authorization from insurance". I explained him that I already got the prior authorization and I paid in full amount and not received the total order. He said, "no, my system is not accepting and I need prior authorization". I was literally crying about what to do as the time is reaching to take the medicine. Then I called my doctor's office, even my nurse tried to explain about the situation. He said the same about prior authorization, then she called the insurance to ask about prior authorization and they said we can't give the prior authorization as it's too early to refill.
Everything messed up. The manager is off on that day so there is no responsible person to take care of the patients. He said to call the manager but she is not picking up the phone. So ridiculous. The way they are talking is so irresponsible. Then I started shouting at the store "how can I get prior authorization (which I already got for the 15 quantity) in one hour from insurance for the one I already paid in full amount and submitted the prior authorization already?". I asked him, "can I talk to your manager?".
He said so careless that he/she was off. How could a pharmacy store run without a pharmacist? If one person is off, that means all patients have to wait until he/she comes? If it is a general item, it's okay. But pharmacy store should never run like this. What happens in emergency situation? Somewhat I am in the emergency situation.
After arguing for so much time, they gave me the medicine. It has almost killed my day. I started running from 1PM, it caused me so much mental pressure. They are literally playing with patients, so rude and reckless behavior. Almost 15 to 20 days I am roaming around the store. As a pharmacist, he can't even understand my seriousness. I should never go to Walmart again in my life. Also, I will tell as many people to avoid Walmart pharmacy. So please help me in giving a better lesson to them about not repeating this to other patients.

I called in a refill the day before my prescription expired. The system told me it was in stock and would be ready the next day. With the storms closing roads, taking out power and flooding my basement, I didn't have time to get the script until this evening. Before I drove out, I got a call from the pharmacy. The guy told me that they tried to fill the script today and couldn't because it was expired. They called my doctor who said I need to come in for a visit. I asked, "why are you filling it today?". He replied that it was out of stock. I asked why the system said it was in stock and got blown off? I asked, "Don't you call and tell people when something is out of stock?". A flat "no" was his reply.
This is the second incident of shadiness I've heard out of this place. A couple months ago, a friend fresh out of the hospital from a heart attack went to Hamilton Marketplace's Walmart and got screwed over. He went, dropped off his scripts and was told they'd be filled and ready at 6:30PM. When he returned at 6:30, he was told the pharmacy closes at 6:00PM, come back tomorrow. After 5-10 minutes of arguing to get his meds, they finally told him that they were out of stock and he'd have to come back after noon the next day. It then took him another 10 minutes of arguing to get his scripts back. All while turning red, blood pressure sky-high, less than 24 hours after a heart attack.
In closing, Walmart will tell you whatever they can to get your prescription in their hands, whether or not they actually have the medicines you need or not. Once they have your script, you are at their mercy unless you create a scene and make yourself look foolish.

But when I went in (and waited first in a long line to return an item) the pharmacy was closing and the obnoxious pharmacist said they were going to lunch now. It was about 1:30. The pharmacy was closed. It would open in half an hour. They closed the pharmacy? What? Is this some scheme to get people to wander around their store so they'll buy more? Walmart considers us to be two-dimensional stick-figures to be controlled. No way! I am not stupid, Walmart. That's outrageous.
He said their hours are posted and he pointed. I looked where he pointed and I saw nothing about closing on Sundays in the middle of the day. At no time did anyone tell me of these not-to-be-expected hours, not even the recording where I placed my order! Furthermore, who can be expected to be responsible for reading the store hours and remembering some *** thing like this? I don't live to remember to know about Walmart's *** procedures. Who could remember Walmart's pharmacy hours for months or years? And why should a customer be responsible for knowing an odd thing like their pharmacy closing in the middle of the afternoon?
I'm home right now. I'm pissed. I'm trying to decide if I should go back, ever. And it's raining. Who do they think they are that they can control people? I'm supposed to give up part of my Sunday to please Walmart? I do not live to give my time and money to Walmart.

I talked to Jason, the manager of the pharmacy, and told him the problem. I was a bit upset, and after a few exchanges of information, I asked him if there was any apology for the mistake. He said I didn't give him a chance to apologize. I told him that if they were really interested in the problem, an apology should be the first thing out of his mouth. He insisted that I didn't give him a chance, and he didn't have to take my abuse.
I asked him why I was not called to tell me why it wasn't mailed. He said that they should have called me. It seems that it's a $4.00 prescription, and they don't mail those, but as they didn't have the full amount, they would. I called the assistant manager of the store and asked her what the procedure is for dealing with a complaint. No real procedure for an apology first, it seems, but her attitude was far superior to Jason's. She would talk to him. I told her that I was going to make a complaint to corporate and also on Jason. She said okay to that.

We arrived at the Walmart at 3:15 pm and stood in line for at least 20 minutes. When we arrived at the desk, we were told that the prescriptions were not ready and in fact, one they did not have in stock. We were told one of the prescriptions would be filled shortly, the other, we could possibly find another Walmart that could fill the prescription or we could come back tomorrow and stand in line and maybe they would have it.
I asked why we were not called earlier so we didn't make the trip to Walmart or could possibly filled the prescriptions some where else and we were told they were too busy filling prescriptions for winter Texans. My mother is not a winter Texan. This same thing has happened each and every time she goes to this pharmacy no matter what time of year. She gets the same two prescriptions and they never have one of the medications that is not common. She has attempted calling in days ahead of when she will pick up this medication and each time it is never ready! She and I were treated very rudely. I tried to give it back to them they said what are you trying to do, I said look I am allergic to this, and its not mine! Overlooking what I said, the clerk said well just give me the one pill back and you can have the rest of them, filling my prescriptions they charged me 5.00 for 3 prescriptions that were not mine! The second time called in to get my **, they said it was not on file.
But I went to the doctor 3 months ago it had to be there, then it was found, finally they filled it and gave me the wrong med again, well this is a life not a check out for food here. They are trying to make me delay my meds, refusing to try and fill them, so I called her back, she said I am on the phone with the insurance company they are rejecting this med.
I said that cannot be, my insurance has not changed since the last time. I called in my other prescription to get filled which was a water pill, and it was not filled by them. They didn't have it, they said and that is a lie!! I asked the tech to write down what it was before I left. They lost my cholesterol meds 5 times. When they found them, they gave me the meds with a bottle that had a pill in it saying, no more until we contact your doctor with this. So with the ** and the wrong meds in the bottle, I decided not to do business with these people again. I called her back to remind her that she needs to do her job instead of complaining she is too busy.
She said what do you mean that is my job, I said best thing you can do is fill it then. So she said she was going to, but I had already called another pharmacy because I didn't know what these people were doing or trying to do with me. Giving me meds that I am allergic to, or pills with no name on it? I switched over to Walgreens and I am at ease now because I feel I can trust them with the meds and get them filled properly. I was prescribed a medication by my doctor for chronic pain. I was prescribed a nasal spray and the same in an injectable form. I had been on the nasal form for years, then the doctor added the injectable form. Walmart had no problem filling the prescription; I asked for the needles that went along with the meds, they sold me needles with an orange top. I didn't know one type of needle from another; needless to say I didn't ask any questions.
After about 6 months and about two or three refills later, I needed more needles. This time the needles had another colored top and I questioned it. Laura had a fit (very unprofessional) jumped down my throat and said she did not give me the wrong needles. She said I was given needles I asked for, not true. Well, I told her I hadn't requested any particular type since I knew nothing about needles. She got on the phone to my doctor and the next thing I knew I was off of the meds all together. It seems her talk to the doctor changed his mind about me needing it. I sort of fell out with the doctor.
I tried to file a complaint with Walmart to no avail, because they stand behind their employees. Laura said that the medicine was given to women going through labor. Everyone knows that medicine have multiple uses as seen fit by your doctor. I just don't understand how a pharmacist can practice medicine; offer advice, yes, but not override the doctor's plan of treatment. I know my doctor is at fault also for not having the gall to stand behind his medical course of action. Since then the doctor and I are at odds because my faith in him is destroyed.
I had been seeing this doctor since the early 90's. He has been knowing my medical situation and so, in my opinion was a very caring doctor. I left him and I went back months later (because new doctors want to try this and that) so I went back because through trial and error we had come to a course of treatment that worked for me; he then wrote a prescription for the same medicine. I took it to Walmart and the same pharmacist denied it again, this time she got on the phone and called every drugstore in my little town and advised them not to fill that prescription, thereby making me seem like a drug addict.
Due to all of this, the drugstores in my little town question me ways I have never been before. I am in deep depression, feeling like I am doomed to a life of lesser functionality and an unbearable quality of life. I am still in disbelief that a doctor could be so gutless. It makes me question everything about his treatment that went on for years. Was he doing something wrong all of those years? This is pure mental and physical agony for me because I still suffer from the same ailments that I had in the beginning. The pain is so bad that I think it will run me into a stroke. I just don't know what I am going to do, other that to die.

I went to pick up my Rx at Wal-mart a day later than it was supposed to be ready. There was only 1 of 3 ready. The girl very snippy said, "I just have one. You'll have to call the doctor." I said fine and called my doctor before leaving the store. I was told that my doctors office faxed all 3 of my Rx's on the same sheet. I then went back to the pharmacy to tell them. Gale who was very helpful, pulled the fax, and said, "Yes, 3 are here."
She loaded them in the computer and said it would be about 20 minutes. I asked to see the fax to double check my Rx's, because I had previous problems with mistakes at Walmart. One Rx was wrong from the doctor, so I again called the doctor's to have them correct it before the pharmacy filled it.
When I went back to pick up the 2 remaining medications an hour later (more than the 20 minutes I was told it would take), only one was ready. I came back to get the final medication the next date and was told that one is ready but the other is not. I said there should only be one. The same snippy girl as before said, "Well, I have 2, but they are the same medicine, just different strength."
I would think someone who works in a pharmacy would recognize that I would not need the same medicine twice and would have checked if there was an error. I explained to the girl about the fax and that 3 medications were to be filled together and that I have been there 3 times. I was not angry yet. I just wanted her to understand the situation.
She looked at me, rolled her eyes, and said, "I didn't do it." Then I was angry. I told her it didn't matter if she personally did it or not. It was a mistake, and as a customer service person, I think she should have looked in on my first visit instead of me having to make 3 trips and several calls to my doctor. Even if she did not do that, a simple "I'm sorry" would have made all the difference.
I wrote an email to Wal-mart, and all I got was a customer service survey back. I have never gotten an apology. I doubt if I use Wal-mart for my medications again. Mistakes can be deadly, and this employee seemed not to care at all.

This is the worst pharmacy in the entire country. They couldn’t care less about customer service and the manager is a total jerk. He has a pharmacy technician that is known locally as a junky and she works the front desk. The worst story I have to tell could have actually killed my roommate. My roomy is diabetic and is on injectable medication for his disease. Get this, he starts feeling weak and was out of his medication because he didn’t have the money to get his medication.
He was fading out pretty quickly so I loaned him the money and rushed him to Walmart to get his medication. Keep in mind this is injectable medication. So they filled his medication, and then to my amazement, they wouldn't sell him the syringes to inject the medication. We asked nicely and still they wouldn't give him the syringes. My friend began to get worse so I rushed him to the next town where we went to another Walmart, and they sold him the syringes no questions asked.
To beat it all, the junky that works as the pharmacy technician was the one that wouldn't sell him the syringes. A few weeks go by and I went down to a house in the projects to try and rescue an abused dog, and to my amazement, when I walked into this apartment, I see the same pharmacy technician about to inject cocaine into her arm with a syringe, most likely a syringe from Walmart. Please, nobody use this pharmacy anymore. The pharmacy workers are extremely rude and very unprofessional. Do not use the Radford Walmart pharmacy.

Then she became rude, acting like I was the dumb one. I said why she couldn't let me know that they didn't have any when she found out. She replied, "It's not my problem." I said then, "Whose is it?" And she told me it was mine.
Then she replied, "Well, you can leave now. There's nothing I can help you with." That's the last time I went to the pharmacy there, because everyone who works there are very disrespectful and don't treat their paying customers right. It's not like I was just picking up a little cheap worthless prescription. It was $320 for a 2-week supply. And if I don't take it when I'm supposed to, I get really sick with a major headache, vomiting, and cold sweats.

My pain prescription medications have been consistently short. Walmart has placed the blame on me when my medication was short. This has happened on a regular basis and at various locations, leading me to believe this is a widely employed practice. I have been having my pain meds counted-out upon receipt. However, when my wife picks up the prescription, she often fails to have them count the meds in person. I would like to hear from others who have had this same issue with Walmart.

On Feb. 10th at about 6:00PM, I took 2 prescriptions to the pharmacy to be filled. As they were very busy, the clerk told me that it would be about an hour wait. I shopped and got dinner at Subway in the store. I came back in an hour and was told they were not ready yet and was asked to wait another 15 minutes. When I went to the counter, the clerk told me they could only fill one as they could not find the other prescription. I told her I definitely gave the previous clerk 2 prescriptions. She asked me if I just wanted to take the first. I said no! I was asked to move over and wait another 15-20 minutes while they searched for my missing prescription. They finally found it.
A week ago, my husband's doctor faxed over a prescription. They didn't find it until the next day and then told my husband it would be an hour wait. He went back and was told they were working on it and to come back in about 15 minutes. When he went back, he was told that they were all out of that medication and had to order it. The quality of service at this pharmacy is totally unprofessional, irresponsible and unresponsive to their customers. The medical community in our area needs to know what their patients are putting up with and having to go through to get a prescription filled. My husband and I have decided to take our prescription needs elsewhere. It might be a little bit more inconvenient but it's worth it not to have to put with this incompetency.

On 02/10/2010, I filled a prescription from my spine pain management doctor for ** 15 mgs., 60 tabs, take one twice daily. When I got home with the prescription, I counted the tablets (AARP recommends this). There were only 50 tablets given to me. I had paid $34.45 for the 60 pills. The following morning, I went to the pharmacy with my prescription, and explained what had happened. I was told that was unfortunate. I asked if they had their own counts, that they could check this against, see if they were showing ten extra pills. This was done, and I was told that the count was exactly right. They had exactly the number of pills that they should have. I asked if there was someone that I could talk to with more authority. The pharmacist said no, there was no one else.
I asked what I should do, and was told there was nothing I could do. I told them that I understood that because this was a controlled substance, I could understand if they were suspicious, and was told no, not at all. The way the counts and re-counts were carefully done was explained to me. I said that it seemed then, that if I only received 50 pills and 60 were dispensed, that somewhere along the way, 10 pills were pocketed. The pharmacist said that the counts on this pain medication were so careful, that it was much more likely that the pills were stolen by someone in the pharmacy, than that the counts were wrong.
I said I understood, and believed that someone had indeed stolen ten pills from my prescription. This was agreed with. I asked if there was someone I could register a complaint with, was there a way to file a statement and get to the bottom of this, and I was told "no, I am sorry" I said this means that I see my doctor once each month for treatments, and prescriptions, but now I would run out of medication, before my next appointment, and that all comes down to several very painful days for me. Not to mention that I had paid for them. I was again told "sorry, nothing we can do" and so I left. I find this so upsetting.
I am now ten pills short, so the last 5 days of this month, while I wait for my next doctor's appointment, I am going to be in significant pain. I won't be able to function normally, nor will I be able to sleep due to back pain. I can call my doctor and explain what happened, and ask for him to prescribe ten extra pills for me, but this is embarrassing, and very distasteful, because it looks so suspicious, like drug seeking behavior, and I really resent being put in this position. Plus, it seems so wrong that the pharmacy wouldn't want to investigate who might be stealing narcotics there in their pharmacy amongst the employees.
And so, I need some help with this problem. Also I was charged for 60 pills, and only received 50. That is a minor consideration, compared to my anxiety about now being left in pain until my next appointment, with my doctor. I am also so distressed about the ethics of the pharmacy, not even seeming interested in helping me, or an investigation internally.

On Friday, January 22, 2010, I returned to pick up the medications, only to be told that the doctor's office had not responded to their request of authorization to refill **. The doctor's office closed at noon on Friday, so I waited until this morning to call and was told that the fax had been answered the day it was received (if it had been received). The doctor's office called me at about 11:30 am and said they had sent in the refill OK.
My sister was in Uvalde, and I called to confirm the pharmacy had it ready and the pharmacy worker told me they had not heard from the doctor at that time. I called the doctor's office and explained what I had been told, and they said they would call and talk to someone in the pharmacy to insure it was authorized. At 3:30pm, my sister was told, at first, that they still hadn't heard from the doctor. But after a brief conversation with another employee, my sister was told it wouldn't be ready until 5:30pm!
We live 45 north of Uvalde, and the medication is one that is supposed to be taken daily. I understand that my mother's prescription is only one of thousands, but after nearly a week, surely, they could do better than this. The pharmacy employees were rude and uncaring that we were having so much trouble getting the medication.

My doctor called in to the above pharmacy an emergency prescription for two (2) vials ** 70/30 insulin which I needed immediately. I approached the counter to pay for this medication and I observed, as I had observed for over two years, that there was again only one register open and a very long line of people waiting for desperately needed medications. Going to the unused register, I counted nine (9) people, besides the pharmacist doing pretty much nothing in the pharmacy area.
On expressing my disbelief that they were again lining people up like cattle, while Perfecto, the pharmacist, was being impervious to the customers' needs. My exchange of words with him ended with the pharmacist telling me that he would not fill my prescription. A subsequent attempt to get the prescription filled with the help of Hector, the store assistant manager, also failed even after Hector gave the pharmacist a direct order to fill it. And this pretty much defines the character and mentality of this Perfecto, allowing my justified criticism to affect his dispensing the drugs and affecting my well being and life.
There is absolutely no excuse for a professional person in his position to make such a stupid decision only because his pride was damaged. No argument is justification for this failure to dispense life-saving drugs, absolutely none. It is criminal neglect and dereliction of his professional duties. He cannot put his ego above people's lives. I could have died as a result of this decision. This is a criminal act of a demented old man whose usefulness as a contributing Walmart employee and professional pharmacist ended years ago.
It is with his total disregard for my life and his duty that I will pursue damages for myself and for who knows how many others he has either erroneously or purposefully affected with his disregard for customer care and reliability. To further complicate and amplify the negligence of their actions, I was sent to another Walmart store by Hector to get my medication.
The Boca Chica Pharmacy was supposed to transfer my doctor's prescription there, but would not, did not, saying they gave me back my prescription. This is not possible because it was called in and there was no written prescription. In any case, the almost as inept, demented old woman, pharmacist, Rosemary, at the Pine Island Road Walmart finally agreed to sell me the medication, at full uninsured price without a prescription.
And of course, she did not listen and gave me the wrong medication. All this further exhibits Walmart's negligence to the public, in general, and myself specifically for the life threatening experiences of this night.

I have had several problems with this pharmacy saying prescriptions were ready when they were not and having an attitude that we should be damn glad they bother to wait on us. But when it concerns my elderly mother, it's just different for me. I usually order online now just to avoid any actual contact with these people. I would use another pharmacy, but none of the others have prices we can afford. I had ordered one medication twice online and it still showed that it had not been requested.
I finally phoned and spoke with a tech who said I hadn't ordered it but that she would enter the refill and I should check back the next day. The following day, I checked online and it showed not ordered. I phoned and was told by a tech that I had not ordered a refill but she would order it. I did this three times. Finally, I phoned the doctor's office and asked the nurse to phone in the prescription for me since they were obviously lying for some reason. She did. I then phoned Wal-Mart and was told that there was a "flag" on my mother's order and that I had been harassing them. Can you believe these people?
Needless to say, I wasn't pleased. Instead of giving them the attitude I received, however, I simply very quietly refused the prescription (all 6 of them) and left. I then phoned the nurse and had the prescriptions phoned into another Wal-Mart in a neighboring city. I have little doubt that they will turn out to be less than stellar - since that appears to be the norm for some of the people Wal-Mart hires - but I guess it's true that you get what you pay for. They do have some lesser expensive medications, but they pay for less than acceptable "professionals".

I had an appointment I had to be shortly and thought I was just picking up the Rx quickly. I had also told them in the past that the ** inhaler does not work for me. My doctor's office sent an order for 2 ** inhalers. As I waited, the pharmacist filled the order and put both inhalers in the bag and stapled it shut. Being on a disability pension and not even being able to get all the Rx I need monthly, I was shocked to be told it was $88.54. When I got home, I opened the bag and the pharmacy had given me the **. I paid $88.54 for 2 inhalers that do not work for me. I was told too bad, I should have opened the bag and asked any questions before I left. I told her I had to leave immediately after waiting around for it to be filled after it was called in 5 days previously. Why would I think they had given me the ** when I had told them in the past that it didn't work for me? Their receipt on their bags do not show what is in the bag, only the prescription number and cost. No one made a note of that on my file. She said she would note it now. Too little, too late.
I now have $88.54 of inhalers I can't use and no money to buy the ones they were supposed to have given me the first time. So watch out people. If they give you what they want and you don't open the bag (I didn't see anyone open the bags), you are screwed and may even die if you can't then afford the Rx the doctor prescribed. She told me that even though the doctor's office forms and fax showed ** inhalers, that somehow that gets changed over to ** inhaler in their system and they decide what to give you. Overall description - This happens 90% of the time. It cause me to have to go back at least twice each time and go to my doctor's to call again for medication. I went to another pharmacy and never had problems like this. I have talked to the manager and called the company.
I have many prescriptions - 8 or more - every month. Some I must take. I cannot miss one: diabetic medications, pain, muscle meds. I order on time and give them 4 days. They usually need to go through the doctor for the pain meds. I have personally called them in, done them over the phone, and done them online. No matter, they say they have sent the request to the doctor. I go back after 3 or 4 days, and they say the doctor answered some of them but some were not. Then as I stood there, I called the doctor; and they said they gave permission for all of them. Walmart then said they did not get the permission through the fax machine so I can't get my medicine. I went back to my doctor, and they complained they must do it again. Sometimes, I stood at the doctor's office while they are calling and know they called. But they still give me the runaround when I know my doctor made the call. They cannot show me any faxes, so I can see who lied to whom. But I never had problems with the other pharmacies.
I only go to Walmart because of the price. I cannot get insurance and must pay for my medicines - about $500 a month. They have become very rude. For a while, they changed people in the front and it was better. But now, the same people are back. This is part of the medical team that is supposed to take care of their patients, and if they are qualified to do this, they should also be qualified to make doubly sure things are done properly and the customer should be taken care of, not abused. They are not following up properly on people's prescriptions, and I have talked to many people, even the staff(!) that will not go to that pharmacy. What can be done?!
