When Mutual of Omaha first approached me regarding a Reverse Mortgage, they were very responsive during the beginning of the process. Once the appraisal, which is paid for by the applicant, was complete, they just dumped us without a word, stopped returning phone calls and we haven't heard from them since. I guess they have no problem wasting your time asking for you to jump through hoops when they return no follow-through at all.

Just ok. I felt not communicative enough for my taste and often nonresponsive to my emails or requests. Polite and professional just not giving me what I wanted. I told him as much in an email. Needs to listen more.

My contact in Mutual of Omaha was Marsha. These days mostly what you hear is about bad customer service. My experience with Marsha was the total opposite. From our first conversation on she was a real pleasure to deal with. She did an excellent job of mixing professionalism and humanism. We established a great working relationship. A loan which you wouldn't have huge house payments which you could pay if you had the funds to do so. A loan where people really do care about you and your needs. I would like to personally thank Jim ** and Terry ** for all their work in making this happen. We decided to pursue a reverse mortgage, not out of need, but due to a couple of factors. We own an upscale equestrian property located in the horse capital of the world, Marion county, Florida, and in one of the more prestigious towns, and in a gated equine community Which we bought and paid cash for 10 years ago when we retired and moved from up north. Over the last 10 years, inflation has gone wild and the maintenance on a property like this is becoming more difficult as we have gotten older.

Alex has a great voice for phone work. He was able to explain things that I did not understand about reverse mortgages. He also was able to understand me. He showed considerable empathy which I think is a very important quality to have for this type of work.
