Walmart refuses to accept calls from VOIP Housephones to 800 9256278. Not everyone has unlimited cellphones to call them; cellphone service is timed even if a cellphone is available to call them. This started 2 months ago; they claimed they had a hacker problem. I was also promised that issue would be resolved and they would offer compensation for measured cell phone usage. Neither has happened. People with a VOIP phone may not also have a cellphone themself or limited access to one. They do not even communicate with customers via E Mail explaining or offering resolution. Great way to treat customers. Lorrin **

I received an Infiniti Pro Conair Hair Dryer as a Christmas Gift. I took it to the store on Fallbrook Avenue, West Hills California. They could not return it because they did not carry it in that store. They acknowledge Walmart carried it online and suggested to call the Online Customer Service. I called the Online Customer Care. The lady checked and acknowledged it was from Walmart. She provided a ticket number and asked me to wait 72 hours for their system to get updated and then took it to the store and get store credit. I went to Walmart and they had no idea what they were supposed to do. I was there for a long time and store couldn't help.

I called again and the same promise that the system will be updated and if I go to the store they shouldn't have any problem returning it. Once again the trip to Walmart was unsuccessful. The third time I called I was given another ticket number and store refused to return it. I called the Customer Relation. I was told he has already sent an email to the store manager and she knows what to do. I went back to the store. I asked for the manager. She sent a gentleman who could not and did not want to even reach out to their corporate to resolve the issue (he promised he was going to reach out to Home Office and call me).

Their Home Office and the store both have acknowledged it's their product. They all believe I am entitled to a refund. I have already called 4 times. I have been to the store 3 times. Last time I was there for one hour. I expected better Customer Service from Walmart. The Home Office must investigate the lies and false promises their employees make. The only thing they need to do is to provide the Bar Code to the store. The product belongs to them and I want to return it and get a refund.

This review is for Walmart online customer service. It's absolutely terrible! If I could, I would give it zero stars. 1) First you talk to their answering machine forever. 2) Then the actual representative hangs up on you without helping you. It happened to me twice today. 3) The promo code I received two days ago from Walmart via email is not working on their website (not found), and the representative don't know the reason and can't fix it. 4) On January 10 instead of two ordered items I got only one and since then for more than 20 days I can't get a refund even though I call them every other day about it. Interestingly, they don't even keep the records of my calls and requests. 5) After each phone conversation with their representative erroneously I'm getting the email "Unfortunately, we're unable to process a refund at this time". I don't even know what to do now... Very disappointed!

First it was closing register aisles for self checkout while being surveilled by no less than 4 employees, 3 of whom could be on registers, now when you go through the self checkout god forbid you put your fruit or eggs on the counter so you can scan them last, because they are best not under your gallon of milk. Then a series of alarms go off to the surveillance crew that you are trying to steal the fruit or eggs since they are on the counter but not scanned and then the register shuts down and you have to wait to be cleared and the surveiller to find the issue. Just open the damn registers, you have like 25 aisles of registers, and don't get me started on the price increases.

In just 3 months the price went up $5.00..And it's not just cat food...But dog food has jumped 40%. This is outrageous and this super expensive store has to stop price gouging the consumer..If I could I'd take my cat off this expensive product and switch her to something less expensive..But unfortunately she's highly diabetic and the vet recommended it highly..I want Walmart to know that we the people are not all millionaires and we live paycheck to paycheck. I like Walmart the store, the selections: especially of low sodium and sugar free options, in store shopping most of the time, the prices, and so on. The cashiers and floor assistants are pretty good most of the time. However, I have had a problem with customer service agents both in store and online. Most things get resolved but they never address the problem person, the attitudes, or try to make up for hassles that take a toll in time, emotion, and trust. There are frequently small issues of missing or broken items, cancellations and glitches in the machines. Many are resolved and some are not. This is a very frustrating but overall small issue. The problem is that Walmart has double charged me three times that I know of. Two were grocery orders that were correctly charged the last few days of December but charged a second time incorrectly the first few days of January the next year.

Those added up to over 500 dollars. The other double charge was a tip that was not charged at the end of the year but was charged at the end of the month of July and again the beginning of the month of August. The total of all three is about 540. I have tried to resolve this with both Walmart and direct express who both give me attitude, yell over me, repeat themselves, talk in possibilities and generalities and claim they don't see it. In other words they try to gaslight me. The first two double charges were of a large grocery order and a tip in 2024. I had proof in the way of direct express transaction history and Walmart receipts. And to any honest person this should be enough proof to lead to an investigation and refund in order to resolve it, but they refused to acknowledge or resolve the issue. I took a break from Walmart online but then I had an untreated stroke which completely disabled me.

The account was already set up and out of desperation I gave them another try since all I could do is click. I have had grocery orders every week for a year, plus other online orders. occasional problems as stated before. Then it just happened again Jan 2026. I was yet again double charged for my end of the year grocery order and they would not resolve it. I was a loyal customer who spent thousands at Walmart and they don't care to investigate and correct 540 in provable double charges in order to keep me as a customer. Based on all of my interactions with them, I believe this is a glitch which occurs when Walmart bills direct express at the end of the month and there are people taking advantage of it or the company just lets it happen.

WalMart Plus is supposed to be WalMart answer to Amazon Prime. But WalMart doesn't deliver on that. Literally WalMart has problems delivering my orders. Sometimes, I just give up after waiting over a day for someone to take the order and deliver it that I just cancel the order. I usually end up just ordering from Amazon which provides a much better delivery experience. I think the sticking point in WalMart's deliver system is they rely on a third party system to accept delivers. You also have to tip if you really want someone to accept your order for delivery. So that sort of defeats the purpose of buying a WalMart Plus subscription when you basically have to bribe a driver to get them to delivery.

A solution for WalMart is to contract people to specifically deliver Walmart orders. Pay them a reasonable amount to cover their costs and make a decent hourly wage. But WalMart wants to separate itself from these drivers and in the end the unreliable aspect comes into play. You cannot promise something you cannot deliver on. You cannot advertise a free service, only to add in a tip by default on order. Not to mention that tip amount weighs the success of whether you get your order or not. WalMart needs to re-evaluate how it manages deliveries to customers. The experience of that delivery affects how customers feel about WalMart. If you cannot provide a reliable service like home delivery. Then maybe you shouldn't offer it, or charge more to cover what it costs to hire drivers that will deliver all orders.

Do not purchase tires online!! What a horrible experience. I ordered 4 new tires. I ordered them wrong but thank goodness they weren't in stock or they are not eligible for refund says the AI representative who answers the phone at Walmart.com customer service number. Due to being out of stock, Walmart cancelled and refunded me for two of them. I ordered 4 correct tires but had something tragic happen and didn't need them. I had to wait until they were delivered to the store, go to the store, send them back and that was over a week and a half ago--- I still haven't received a refund from any of those yet; along with the two from the first order!

Every representative at the Walmart.com customer service escalates my issue but when I call back the next one says how sorry they are because there is no escalations. I am not rich. I live paycheck to paycheck and the total amount supposed to be refunded to me is over $400. I am unable to pay since of my bills due to this. I'm about to lose my electricity in the middle of Winter! I'm so upset, this makes me cry every time I call and get told there are no updates or no escalations, etc. Word of advice -- DO NOT PURCHASE TIRES ONLINE FROM WALMART!!

Just had my second horrible experience ordering online from the local Walmart. A year or so ago my husband ordered an ipad through Walmart and opted to have it delivered to our home, and the third party delivery company supposedly left it lying on our front steps in a highly visible location (he had given specific instructions to put it by the door.) Anyway they took a picture of it lying there exposed to passers-by, and then who knows what happened to it after that. I arrived home just 20 minutes later and it was not there. My husband went to Walmart to speak to a manager but they refused to take any responsibility for the theft, or give us a refund, and we had to buy the item a second time.

This time I scheduled a pickup, but the online system was simply impossible to use, full of glitches, byzantine security measure and bizarre moments of disconnect, and especially of having to do the same thing over and over and it not working. I had signed in on my own account to place the order and then paid for it with a bank card in my husband's name, adding both our personal info and phone numbers to the order.

I was trying to arrange for him to pick it up today, At one point I was told by the interface that I had canceled pickup, but I have no clue when or how that happened, since I never saw such a prompt or did such a thing. Unable to reach a person on the phone of course. We had already paid for the item and then suddenly we had supposedly canceled it simply by trying to check in for pickup. When my husband got there 15 minutes later to pick it up, they told him we had canceled the order. Not just the pickup, the whole order. Luckily there was one out on the floor and he was allowed to buy it again. Meanwhile we have to wait an unknown number of days (3?, 10?) for our refund to be processed.

Literally nothing about the experience was positive except the price on the item and the unflappable trans woman at the customer service desk, whose unenviable job was to field complaints and solve problems for the long line of people dealing with the nightmarish tech that Walmart has put in place. This is the hell of corporate America, and the culture of criminals preying on the consumer, together making everyone's lives miserable, and wasting our time and money.

It seems that Walmart only caters to the lowest form of human being now, so no one cares. There are still some AMERICANS with education and class that want to continue to shop at Walmart, but will probably not continue to do so because of the (again) HORRIFIC customer service and lack of cleanliness in SOME of the stores. It all starts with MANAGEMENT. If the managers are jerks, the entire store goes to pot. WALMART corporation WISE UP! It is deeply unprofessional for Walmart to treat paying customers like criminals as they exit the store. If the company does not trust customers to use self-checkout responsibly, then the machines should be removed. If the issue is a lack of trust in cashiers, that is an internal staffing matter. Confronting customers, creating scenes at the exit, and demanding receipts is not an acceptable solution.

There is no clear signage stating that receipt checks are mandatory, yet customers are being stopped, their purchased belongings delayed, shopping carts physically held, and personal space encroached upon—without consent, legal authority, or posted policy. This approach is not supported by law and exposes the company to serious legal consequences.

Even your own employees openly acknowledge that this task is ineffective and performative, admitting they are not actually verifying items—only asking to see a receipt. This makes the practice both intrusive and meaningless. There are far better, lawful, and respectful ways to address loss prevention. Continuing down this path is a slippery slope that erodes customer trust and goodwill. Until this issue is handled appropriately and professionally, I will be taking my business elsewhere. And addressing it on my podcast for many others to share their personal experiences like I have.

I thought it was WalMart bringing the item and putting it together- it is not. The product gets shipped from Walmart- then the Person from a separate company comes to put it together.

First, the stools were late, then the person who was putting them together shows up, and I didn’t have stools. I tried to get a refund - as I didn’t want them at that point. They talked me into waiting - it took an additional week for the product to arrive. I asked for a refund for the service fee as I wasn’t able to use it. You can’t get a refund for the service fee. So I paid $55 bucks for a guy to show up at my house and say hi. Save yourself the trouble, buy through Amazon, if you want it put together, find your own handyman. It kept misunderstanding the issue and pushing canned responses that didn’t solve anything. After enough attempts, I finally reached a real person, but communication was still a struggle. Their English was not understandable, but they kept missing the point of what actually happened, which meant repeating myself over and over. Instead of resolving the problem, I ended up making multiple calls and spending far too much time trying to fix something that should have been handled in minutes. Overall, the process was exhausting. If a company is going to rely heavily on AI and limited customer support, they need to make sure both actually help the customer instead of adding to the frustration.

I advise everybody against purchasing online from WALMART. it is a very disappointing experience if anything goes wrong, which was our case. The very expensive Christmas tree that we ordered was nothing like shown on the website. It was under a 30 days free return policy. It arrived 4 days later than it should have, and as soon as we opened it, we found the color to be completely off and ugly and also apparently shorter. Walmart put us in contact with the seller, when the description of the item stated that Walmart ITSELF handles the returns. We had to order another Christmas Tree (from Amazon) and both the seller and Walmart refuse to honor the 30 days return policy. I REQUEST a full refund immediately.

WALMART: I do not have to deal with your sellers, your are not eBAY, I shop from you because of guarantees. This seller has nearly 50% dissatisfaction rates depending on the website, and you chose to lose your customers, rather than kick off the seller or force them to honor the return policy that YOU offer on your website?
