I have a special needs 19-year-old daughter. She was given three Visa gift cards for for doing a video for Wendy's Wonderful Kids. She had used one of her cards at another store and had $116.45 left on the three cards. She wanted to buy some clothes, so my wife took her to Old Navy. Her clothes came up to $54.90. The cashier took her cards and wiped all three of them out. I contacted the card company and they said I should go to Old Navy and get her overcharges back. I called Old Navy and they said they couldn't give her her money back. What kind of a company is this to rip off a special needs girl?

My daughter-in-law purchased 2 shirts for my son. He went back to O.N . just to change from the large she bought him to a medium size. My son didn't bring the receipt since it was just to change the size & the tags were still on the shirts. I have never gotten a problem in any store just to change the size of an item but O.N. told him he couldn't change the size. He had to give them to the checkout & get a refund in the mail & wait 7-10 days for that!! I will no longer shop at O.N.!!! I am asking everyone I know not to shop there either. To think the thousands of dollars my family has spent & gift cards we give for O.N. & you can't even just go in & change a size!! I can foresee the problems on holiday presents for people getting the wrong sizes! Change your policy or join the millions of other stores that close down due to the way good customers are treated. We pay you cash. We want some kind of respect when we make a purchase. No money was wanted back, just a different size!

I purchased a girl's tank top from Old Navy that was covered in defective sequence. The sharp edges on the defective sequence resulted in cuts and scratches to the interior of both of my daughter's arms (from underarm right down to her wrists). I contacted Old Navy to advise them of the defective product and to request that they initiate a product recall and remove the item from their shelves in order to prevent other children from suffering the same. After more than a month and despite me sending the item to their risk management department for assessment (the sharp edges are visible to the naked eye) and showing them photos of the damage that was done, they concluded that the product "meets with their industry standards" and declined to recall the item or remove it from their shelves.
Instead, they offered us a $50 gift card for "the inconvenience". I'm pretty sure any item of clothing that causes cutting and scratches does not meet with any standard. I am disgusted by their lack of concern for their most vulnerable of consumers. I am even more disgusted by the fact that they are not willing to take any proactive measures (i.e., remove the item from their shelves) in order to prevent someone else from being hurt. Shame on you, Old Navy!!

First, I would like to say that I am a respected business owner In the Augusta area. My family and I have been shopping at Old Navy for a lot of years. The other day, I went in to buy my kids some things because I was told there was a good sale going on. The young ladies in the store were just following me around the store. I asked one of them for some help. She said she did not know about the sale.
So I called my wife on the phone to ask about the kids' sizes and I looked up and now there were two workers looking at me. Also, not one of them asked to help me. I don't know if that's just the way this store operation is run, but I felt so humiliated. I went in to spend about $400 but I just ended up spending $100 because of the way I felt in the store.

I recently went to Old Navy 30 days ago to purchase my son's summer wardrobe. We purchased a pair of shorts that I absolutely loved the color. Unfortunately, they did not fit and I needed to get the next size up. I usually don't return merchandise so I threw out the receipt. I found the exact same pair of shorts with the belt and everything in a shade lighter color, but in the size that I needed. When I got up to do the exchange, the manager told me they couldn't do anything since the merchandise I was bringing back was apparently from 2011! I was completely stunned and mortified.
I went home to look for the receipt again and hoped that I could find it, to no avail, to prove that this was being sold on their racks within the past 30 days. I called customer service to explain the situation and all they offered was a $15 customer appreciation card. Thanks, but no thanks. I just lost out by purchasing apparently some old merchandise that was up for sale at their stores and because I didn't have the receipt, was out the money. Nice policy Old Navy. Bamboozle your customers by reselling old stuff and then having your loyal customers get stuck with it.
I will never shop here again. I felt like I was being treated like a criminal. Not my fault that your stores are unethical by selling previous season's clothing that was not marked down apparently. Thanks. Hope you go out of business soon for your customer friendly policies and shady business practices.

Online Old Navy, buyers beware! If you are purchasing something online that is a gift, your recipient will not be able to exchange or refund it at a store like their policy states. I purchased a pair of jeans for my daughter for her birthday, which were too big. I told her she would be able to return them to the store (because that's what their return policy said), but they would not. They would only issue a credit back to my card, which left my daughter with nothing! I will never buy anything from Old Navy again!

I received Christmas gifts from a relative for my children. I took back some of them for various reasons but I checked online before I went to make sure I could return them to a store. They met the criteria so in I went. They were busy so we waited maybe 20 minutes. The cashier had some problems with the beginning of the transaction but eventually was able to get it going. I had my 3-year-old with me. We chatted and I told her that these were Christmas gifts. Then we talked about her snakes. Then she handed me the receipt. She never asked, "Would you care to put this on the current credit card or on a store gift card." Well it went on the credit card on the receipt which belonged to someone else. So I am standing there with no merchandise and no store credit and the manager is telling me there is nothing they can do for me. They can't reverse the transaction nor give me a store credit. I felt like someone just robbed me!
Since there was a long line, I told the manager I would work it out with someone at the 800 number. I felt sure that this would be cleared up with someone at customer service. They did not help either. I spoke to a manager named Diego. He said it is not Old Navy's policy to help customers in that way, to ask them where the money should go. So why would anyone buy a gift for someone online with Old Navy if their policy is "Tender for Tender.” You never really own the merchandise that is given to you. The credit goes back to the purchaser. I had just returned something to Home Depot earlier in the day and they asked, "Would you like this back on your debit card or would you like a store credit?" Very simple, just like every other store I do business with except Old Navy.
Since when do customers have to know all the ins and outs of a retail stores policy? Customer service is assisting a customer and making their experience a good one. Stores streamline their policies to make shopping easier for the customer. The solution they offered was to ask the person who gave me the gifts for the money. And that was the only solution to their mistake. Really? I thought that I was doing my part as a good customer by returning merchandise in a timely manner: under 30 days, in original packaging, tags attached, and original receipt. So now, I am out $85.67 and the merchandise! I feel Old Navy owes me a store credit or a refund.

I received a gift from a relative for Christmas that was the wrong size. She provided the original receipt, and I went to the Old Navy store and followed the return policies on the receipt. When I went to exchange the item, they refunded the money to the purchaser and made me purchase my own gift without informing me of this policy prior to doing the return.
I explained that I didn't want a refund; I wanted to make an exchange. They informed me that Old Navy cannot make exchanges and they can only refund the money even in the case where it is a gift. This is an issue because: 1) My relative was notified that we returned the gift - not my desired outcome. 2) I personally had to purchase my own gift to get a size that fits. 3) This policy is not clearly communicated or consistent with other major retail chains.
I submitted 2 email complaints and spoke with corporate customer relations. They confirmed that their policy is to refund and not to offer an exchange and that new funds are required in the case of an exchange. This is not listed as a warning at the point of sale or on the receipt. I requested that legal make this clear to future consumers, but Old Navy is not taking actions to clarify the situation.
Bottom line, do not purchase gifts for others online from Old Navy. If the item doesn't fit, the gift recipient will have no other option but to not have a gift at all. As the mother of teenagers, this is a horrible policy that is not consumer-friendly. I'm shocked that after making my case to Old Navy corporate, there was no action. They offered to send me a $15 appreciation card for my time. I declined the request as it doesn't compensate for my time or the experience. I would rather see action for appropriate change.
I will not shop at Old Navy or affiliate stores for gifts and recommend that others do the same until Old Navy changes this ridiculous policy or provides sufficient warning to consumers at the point of sale.

I attempted to return an item that I received as a gift (and did not want to ask for a receipt so as not to offend the person who gave it to me) but was told that since I did not have a receipt, I would receive store credit in 7-10 days through the mail. What kind of bogus return policy is that? I have to give the store my home address (so they can bombard me with junk mail) and then wait 7-10 days to receive a piece of paper that I can then drive back to the store with in order to get a different item? I will not be shopping at this store again.

I attempted to return a pair of jeans due to wrong size when I realized that I had brought in the wrong receipt. Only wanting to exchange them for the correct size, I was shocked when enlightened by the cashier that even exchanges could no longer be honored without a receipt, but a store credit would be mailed to my home instead. I went ahead and gave her my info along with the jeans on Nov. 5, 2012. The certificate receipt stated that if not received within 10 business days, please call. I have called twice, and today (23 days later), I have yet to receive my credit for the returned merchandise, for which I have the original receipt as well.
When I spoke with the returns department regarding my concerns, I found out that the city and address had been entered into the system wrong. The certificate had returned to them, and they could only resend it. I then explained how I had the original receipt and wanted to know if I took it along with the certificate copy and certificate upon receiving it, would I then be able to get back cash due to the hassle. She then replied that there was no way possible for me to receive back cash, even with original receipt, because it was deemed as store credit only. So not only do I have to wait on my money, I am still being forced to spend it with a retailer that I no longer have a desire to do business with.

So today, I went shopping at the Old Navy in Everett, Massachusetts. I spent over $50. While I was heading back home, I realized I had a coupon with me that was $20 off if you spent over $50. I was really upset that I didn't think of it when I was checking out. And I was already too far away from the store when I realized I had the coupon. So I was wondering if I went back to the store tomorrow with my receipt and coupon, if I could still get the discount off from my purchase I did previously? Help please!

Old Navy is conducting a national bait and switch ad campaign. During the week leading up to Labor Day 2012 (9/3/12), Old Navy ran a nationally televised ad campaign advertising NFL football t-shirts. I went to my local Old Navy store in Douglasville, GA at the beginning of this promotion, 8/30/12. The promotion started 8/30/12 and went through 9/3/12 (Labor Day). Needless to say, they had a very, very bleak selection of NFL t-shirts (maybe 2 shirts total) available for any NFL team. I asked the manager of the store when they would get additional stock in and was told more stock would come in on Wednesday the 5th and/or Friday the 7th of September.
The manager of the store was very rude with me over the phone and told me to order the shirts online. The manager of the store was completely oblivious to the fact that this was an 'In-Store Only' promotion. This national ad campaign is a well-known bait and switch tactic designed to draw the customer into the store, have little or no advertised merchandise in stock, and hope that you buy something else once you're in the store. I checked 3 or 4 other local Old Navy locations with the same exact result, managers being rude, no adequate advertised merchandise available, lack of knowledge about their own national TV ads and a complete lack of professionalism on their part. Do not patronize this company because they don't know what the ** they are doing!

On Wednesday I spent two hours on OldNavy.com filling a 22-item order, school clothes for my children, a pair of jeans for myself. At checkout, I decided I needed 2-day shipping, at 17 dollars, but to guarantee my delivery on Friday. When FedEx finally posted the tracking information, I realized why it had taken a full day for it to register on the FedEx website - Old Navy did not ship it until Thursday at 7 pm! I called Old Navy, and was told that they get three days to ship my two-day order. So basically, I paid 17 dollars when I need not have since the Free Shipping is free and 3 to 5 days. My children don't have their new clothes, backpack and shoes for the first day of school. And I am out 17 dollars. It's frustrating!

I was in the Kearney, Nebraska store yesterday looking to buy some clothes for a present for my sister. I found this long, strapless, blue dress that was $17.97. I went up to pay for it with my mother and she was using her Old Navy credit card. It rang up to be $34.00 and some cents, so I told the cashier that was on sale. She was very nice and said, "Maybe you got the wrong one." So, I went back and I told her that price was for all those dresses. She said she would call her manager and her manager's name was Ashley. She was very, very rude and she told me that there were only two dresses that were on sale, all the rest were not on sale. I asked her to show me and she said she didn't have time. My mother bought the dress anyway, but I don't appreciate being lied to about the prices and getting treated so rude. I have a credit card with Old Navy too and I have bought a lot of stuff from that store. I think she could have handled it a lot differently than she did.

When I was overcharged, I went back down to the store and then was informed that that sale was for boy's slip-on sneakers, not toddlers which is absolutely wrong. The circular did not state that, then the manager got in my face, yelled at me then called the police. I made a complaint to the 800 number and they took the complaint and said they would call the managers of that store and the district manager, and gave me a case number. So that's it, I am supposed to feel better about what happened. Well, I don't. I will never shop at Old Navy again. They suck!

I went to the Old Navy website to pay my bill and change my bank account information. I added a new bank account and deleted the old one. When I authorized the payment, I realized that it used the account I deleted. I called their customer service number for help in canceling this payment and making a new one with the correct banking information. I followed the automated directions, responding both verbally and on my phone keypad, entering my social security number, and billing address many times, and each time the system incorrectly recognized my responses. I did this for over 8 minutes before the system would allow me to speak to a representative.
When I did speak with a representative, I was told there was nothing they could do to assist me and I needed to go back to their website to resolve my problem. When I explained my frustration and time lost (at this point about 20 minutes) to make a simple $25 payment, she put me on hold for another 3-4 minutes to speak with a manager. When this woman came back on the line, she explained to me how it was my fault, how I made a mistake by not deleting the old account before entering the new account. There were no instructions explaining that these changes needed to be done in a certain order. She said again she could not help me and I needed to return to the website and resolve this on my own. This entire process took approximately 1/2 hour! There was never an attempt to help me and no one offered me even a coupon for my trouble. Their customer service is just as bad as the quality of the clothes they sell.

Old Navy, more like Scam Navy. On April 10, 2012, I purchased swim shorts for $20 at Old Navy located at the Highlands in Arlington, TX with the intent to redeem my $20 super cash coupon given to me by an associate sometime in March. Most importantly to the story, the $20 super cash coupon was only given to me if I spend $50 or more (not including tax). However, the coupon couldn't be redeemed until 4/9-4/17. Once I got up to the checkout counter to purchase the swim shorts, a different cashier told me I have to spend another $40 or more to be able to use the $20 super cash coupon. This was not explained to me at the time when I received the super cash coupon, but sure enough, it was written on the coupon. However, I was under the impression I could use the $20 super cash coupon as cash on my next transaction because I did spend over $50 in order to get the coupon in the first place.
I was embarrassed and had to pay out of pocket. Honestly, when did we start paying for coupons? If Old Navy wants to keep customers coming back, they should be giving away coupons, not putting absurd stipulations to get the coupon then turn around and slap you again with more stipulations in order to use the coupon. Unfortunately, I will not be shopping at Old Navy again!

What a scam at Old Navy! They offered a discount at the register to apply for a credit card. The credit card was approved, there was no problem. But when you try to make a payment, you can't pay at the store. Also, you can't pay over the phone unless you pay a $15 service fee. You can't pay online unless you have the code off the back of the charge card, and I never carry my credit cards unless I am shopping. Old Navy must have figured out that the real money is in the nuisance fees they can charge, like late payment fees and payment processing fees. They don't really want a payment, they just want to jack you with fees. This is one account I will never use again.

I opened a credit line with Old Navy because I shop there often and figured the rewards points could be useful as long as I remember to pay off the card on time. I did in fact remember to pay the card on time, but my online payment did not go through for some reason. A few months later when I realized this, I had already gained $80 in late fees. Assuming it was my fault for not clicking through enough "submit" buttons before closing my browser, I sucked it up, made the full payment online again, saw the confirmation page this time and called to have my account closed.
On the phone, I was told, "I see that you have made a payment in the amount of $xxx.xx (whatever the payment had been), and I am now closing your account. Thank you, your account is now closed". I thought that was the end of it. Four more months later, I received another statement with even more late fees, turning my original $50 purchase into a $262 pile of late fees and apparently, unpaid balances. Furious, I called again and kept a polite manner with the CSR. I explained my situation and said that it was unfair that I was told it was paid off and didn't want to pay that amount. I was told that "it didn't show that a payment went through" and the CSR repeated multiple times that "we can go ahead and make the payment over the phone today and your account balance will be at zero".
I repeated myself, at least four times, that I should not have to pay all of those late fees. Yet, all she had to say was that we could schedule a payment over the phone and bring the balance to zero. Frustrated and wanting to be through with this entire ordeal, I agreed to pay the late fees and accepted it as an expensive lesson learned to not open credit accounts with stores. I was then told that it would cost me another $15 to make the payment over the phone! Luckily, I easily talked her into offering the payment free of charge. Opened my card in March, paid off and closed completely (hopefully this time) in October with a total of $210 in late fees and interest due to the company.

Back in May, I went to an Old Navy store in Fort Worth, TX. I was told by the cashier that my order of less than $20 would be half off if I signed up for an Old Navy Visa card. I thought that sounded like a good deal, so I said go ahead. I hadn't heard or thought about it since. Fast-forward to tonight, I got a call from a collection agency telling me I owe over $110 as a result of this card. Apparently, unbeknownst to me, the half of my order that was being "saved" on the purchase, around $9, was put on the card and had been accruing interest ever since, to the tune of over $110. I had never actually seen any bills or past due notifications because I was never aware anything was on there. Concerned about the repercussions on my credit rating, I had little choice but to pay $80 in order to put my account back in "good standing". So an innocent trip to Old Navy for some sunglasses turns into me wasting an hour of my time and having to fork over $80 to a collection agency and I don't even know if that's the end of it.
Do I have any recourse? Is Old Navy willing to recognize that these practices may not be the most upfront and honest? I seriously had no idea that any charges were being put on the card and never actually laid hands on the physical card nor was I aware any such charge even existed. Old Navy and all its partner stores will be losing business as a result of these types of bait-and-switch tactics, I'm sure.

We purchased 2 Old Navy Metal water containers for our children. They got them so they could take water to school. We washed them with dish soap and water. When school started our children filled them daily with filter tap water and took them to school. Our daughter started having tremors in her right arm and hand. Her concentration level was decreased as well. Not knowing what the problem was, we did a bunch of research on her symptoms. We found out that heavy metal poisoning could be a factor.
Then it flashed that she has been using her new metal water bottle every day. We replaced her container with a plastic one. Her tremors decreased to only 1 time a week and her concentration level improved. We tried to do our own research to have water tested that was stored in the bottle but did not get very far. Once the labs found out why we wanted to test the water, they raised the prices so high that it was out of our reach.
I have read other complaints about Old Navy water containers online, but have not found an actual recall on them. Shame on me as a parent for purchasing this metal container made in China to begin with.

My granddaughter had remaining money on two gift cards. We made plans that after school on Tuesday, 10-26-10, we would go in to Tulsa for a little shopping. One of our favorite stores is Old Navy and that was the top of her list. I had discovered a "Thanks a Million" coupon on the Internet, 50% off and one piece of outerwear. I copied 2 as we were going to meet up with other family members for dinner and shopping. The short of it, cash register with our coupons, cash and goods in hand was told the boots, and heavy lined hoodie was not "outerwear", that the coupon was for coats only.
I replied, "The coupon did not say coats, it said outerwear," and was told, "A hoodie is a hoodie, and boots were boots, I'm sorry.” We said, "We are too,” and left the store. I am sure that the sells from us won't be missed on Old Navy's bottom line that one night. There were 5 families there that night, and over the years spent some nice money in Old Navy. We will all miss Old Navy, but know there are plenty of really fine stores. By the way, one of the gift cards was MasterCard, and the other was Visa. It makes no sense.

This is a copy of an email I sent them 2 weeks ago.
Yesterday, my wife and I visited your location in Wilmington, DE. My wife had previously received a gift card from you people because she complained about the way handicapped people are treated, or should I say ignored, in your locations. I would call these facilities stores, but in my experience, stores typically have some sort of customer service. Sadly, Old Navy does not seem to train their Associates in the art of customer service. We went there with the intention of purchasing some of the Graphic Tees that were advertised as buy one, get one free.
First, the racks where this merchandise was displayed was not readily noticeable. Your facility merchandisers should be applauded for putting these racks toward the back of the store so that the poor person that makes the initial mistake of coming through the doors will have to see all of the other over priced items. Great work and kudos to that department.
After the expedition to find these advertised Tees, we selected a few, brought them to the counter, gave them to the 8 year old behind the register, gave her the gift card, and lo and behold, we were told that we could not use the gift card! Now I examined this gift card (which by the way was for $10, gee thanks for that) and I examined the place where these Tees were located in the store, and to my surprise, nowhere does it say gift cards not allowed or don't you dare try and use a gift card for this stuff or Sorry, we can't allow you to use a gift card because we have to pay little Ling ** $0.05 an hour more to make up for the administration. Nothing, just the word of the 8 year old behind the counter.
So we asked for the manager. And as I guessed the manager, a 14 year old, gave us the same story. Even after my wife told her that we had gotten the gift card because of their poor treatment of the handicapped. By the way, in case you are wondering (and I am sure you aren't) my wife uses a walker due to her recent bout with cancer. She's doing well but still needs some help getting around, selecting things in store, stuff like that (thanks for asking [yeah right]).
Anyway I'm done venting now. If you would be so kind, please send me an address where I can send the gift card back to as we won't be utilizing your facilities again. I will more than likely make sure that none of our friends, acquaintances, relatives, people we pass on the street, and anybody else that asks doesn't either. It is a shame that the rest of the American retail market, is in such disarray, and that Old Navy is in such good shape. You must be, if you chase away business like this.

I purchased 2 Anoraks back in August 2005. In February 2010, I brought both unworn jackets and the original receipt into an Old Navy Outlet Store in North Branch, MN. The clerk told me that the policy has changed and they now have like a 90-day limit for returns. Then the Store Manager backed the clerk up and said they could not do anything to assist me in this matter due to the recent change made to the return policy.
On the receipt, it states that their return policy is as follows: "Old Navy outlet merchandise must be returned to an Old Navy Outlet Store located in the U.S. Unwashed, unworn or defective merchandise may be returned at any time with or without a receipt. A full refund for the price paid in the original form of payment is available if the original receipt is presented. Valid ID is required to receive store credit or mail certificate. Other terms and conditions apply. Please see complete details in any Old Navy Outlet Store."
Am I stuck with this decision or does that only apply to new purchases? I believe that they should honor the terms as printed on my receipt because that was the "contracted" return policy. Please advise me. Thank you for reviewing this matter for me. I would be happy to fax you a copy of the receipt/return policy if needed (although I did copy it, word for word, in the above paragraph).
I am out $29.98. All I wanted was store credit so I could purchase some new jeans for my child.

I purchased clothing at Old Navy in Beaumont, TX for a Christmas gift, with a 90-day return policy for full refund. I called twice in Jan. 2010 to verify the 90-day return and was told yes. When I went to the store to return, they were closed and moving to a new location just down the mall. The sign said they would re-open in Feb. I was there on Feb. 10th and still they did not open. I called corporate and asked if they could extend my receipt since the store is closed. They said no. My only options were to drive to another store, 2 hrs. away, or mail it to another store with the risk that there are no guarantees. They will say they received it, or received it in time, or that I will get my money back.
They said I could not send it to a service center. If I wait until our store re-opens, my receipt will be out of the 90-day period by only days, but will be handled as if I have no receipt and I will get the lowest price it sold for. I paid $35 for it and probably will only get $3 back. They also told me they don't know the re-opening date for the store, yet the mall said it would open on Feb. 19th, just 2 days after my receipt's 90 days is up. So, why don't they know? I'm sure they do.
This is deceptive practice. They knew when I called in Jan. that they were closing and never told me. Why did they decide to close right after Christmas? So consumers would not be able to return Christmas's gifts! Why do they treat their customers so badly? It’s because they have gotten away with it. I hope everyone stops shopping at Old Navy and puts them out of business. They don't deserve customers! I will be stuck with merchandise I can't use because they gave me no other options. I, or anyone I talk to, will never use them again.

I was approved for an ON card last Christmas 2008 with a $500.00 limit. Great, or so I thought. I made all my payments earlier than the date and even paid more than the minimum. Starting in July, I kept getting letters saying that they were closing my account because (are you ready for this?) I made too many payments! **. Since when is paying your bills a bad thing? I called CS and was told the letter was a mistake, and that I would get a correct letter in 10 days. I did get a letter and it said now they were lowering my credit limit to $300.00. I called CS and closed the account. The CS reps were cold and probably reading from a list of typical responses. Good riddance. The clothes are overpriced. I would rather shop at Target.

I keep getting charged $39 late fee, for which I pay on time every month, but for some reason, Old Navy never posts the money onto the acct. until after the due date. This is crazy. Someone has to stop them, please. I was so mad that I cancelled my card with them. I will never shop there again.

On Thursday, June 18th, 2009, around 6:00 PM, I, a friend and her two small children were enjoying an afternoon of shopping when suddenly I slipped on a coat hanger that was on the floor. This particular store was not very neat and organized.
When I slipped on the coat hanger, I twisted my left knee and hurt my back, and was unable to walk. Therefore, an ambulance was called to come pick me up. There was a younger male employee who we asked if they had a chair we could borrow until help arrived and he looked at us like we were crazy. He says "you need a chair, are you serious?" I cannot believe he responded with that. The cashier at the front counter where my friend was checking out asked her "do you really need an ambulance?" None of them were taking us very seriously. There was a young lady who I was impressed with who offered me a wet towel and sat with me until help arrived.
I am not sure how the accident policy is done at this location, but I do know that at most businesses, they have some kind of forms that must be filled out. The only kind of information they got from me was my name and phone number. I was taken to the hospital by ambulance to the ER where they did x-rays, luckily nothing was broken or seriously injured, although it caused me to be in some severe pain for the next three days.
I still suffer from lower back pain and pain in my knee. I had to leave work early due to the pain I was suffering. I would have hated to have known that if I had been an elder who was the one who tripped and fell, and possibly broke/dislocated a hip or suffered another injury or a small child who suffered an injury, how they would have been treated by the employees at this specific location. I now am going to have an ER bill, RX to be paid for, the ambulance ride, etc. And these expenses are not cheap whatsoever, and not to mention the work I had to miss due to the pain I was suffering.
I emailed someone at an Old Navy store the day after it happened and I have yet had a response from that email. In that email, I asked what kind of action they plan on taking and if no action were taken within 30 days, they would be hearing from my attorney. I now suffer from back pain due to this injury, and needless to say, I was not very happy with the employees that were working on that particular night.
I received a phone call from an employee the next day, asking if I was okay. I do agree that they should have done this, but I disagree that this store or any store of that matter does not fill out any kind of incident reports. I do not have the kind of money that it will take to pay for these bills.

In the end of November 2008, I signed up for Old Navy Visa at their store at Plaza Las Americas in San Juan. They told me if approved, I would get a discount and I could charge the merchandise immediately. I was going on a cruise and I charged a pair of shorts for about $43. In early April 2009 (4 months later), I got a call inquiring about my lack of payment and telling me I had an outstanding balance of over $100. They asked me for my Social Security number and my address. I was concerned about identity theft but the card representative sounded legit.
I told him I never received the card nor the statements. He queried about my address and, in effect, it had missing our building number (we have 6 buildings in our area and each has the same apartment numbers)... So apparently, the postman sent everything back to them. I gave him my PO box but then I told him that I felt I wasn't liable for the late charges as the mistake was by either the salesperson who pulled my address out from my Driver's License (he omitted the number 2 which was my building number). A week later, I got a call from the Old Navy Credit Department and they told me to call back to see if my request of deducting late fees would be approved. I'm crossing my fingers.

We were shopping when the manager, **, approached me with the police. The police officer told us we had to leave because the manager wanted us out the store. I asked why and the manager said that she did not like the way we looked at her. The police officer ordered us out the store, that she had a right to ask us to leave. I called my local police to get a report and was told that the officer was dispatched at 7:46 pm of a suspicious person by **, the manager. I am very upset and would like some answers. The corporate office told me that they will call in 7 to 10 days. I’m admittedly an avid (but responsible) shopper; I like to have one or two, very gently used, store-branded credit cards because the discounts are nice to have when I am in need of a special something. I have never had so many problems in the past as I have with Old Navy. I always pay my credit cards on time, well in advance of the payment due date, if possible, and for the duration I've had this particular card, I have had to call their customer service and complain to have late fees removed at least 3 times. In each case, I waited patiently for them to deduct payment from my account, and when they never did and I called to follow up or received my next statement, there was always some late fee or finance charge.
In order to curb all this, and save paper, I decided to pay online. I scheduled the payment to be deducted on the due date, and, lo and behold, on the due date, payment was not deducted. A week later (I should have followed-up sooner), they called and said they were trying to collect on funds due, and could I pay over the phone? When I asked why, I was told that my bank account information did not process (even though I received no error message when I set up the account, and no notification that payment was not processed), all of which I related to the customer service agent. When she kept prodding me to pay over the phone, I said I would have to check it out and call back. When I checked my account, I saw not only a late fee, but a returned check fee and a finance charge - totaling over $60 in fees.
I proceeded to call customer service back, told them that by no means would I pay a late fee, finance charge, or returned check fee for a payment that I made on time. At first, the agent told me he could credit the late fee and finance charge, but would not be able to credit the returned check fee; in order to do that, I would have to check with my bank. When I pressed him (the fee would not have been applied from my bank; Old Navy would have charged me - what could my bank do about anything?), he was finally able to credit that amount as well. I paid the balance over the phone (he graciously did not charge me the $15 fee), and I promptly closed my account.
I have had excellent credit for over 10 years. Thankfully, the fallout is minimal, yet still frustrating. I recently applied for a travel card so that I could travel for work, and was offered a near pittance of a credit limit. In addition, my insurance company now believes I am irresponsible, and they have raised my rates. I am extraordinarily frustrated by all this - especially because I know I am one of a relative few who actually follows up on these matters. The way they prey on people is truly disgusting, and I won't be easily tempted by an immediate discount and reward points again.

I accepted a Old Navy credit card in December of 2007. I waited for a bill and never received this bill. I contacted Old Navy cusomer service on February 7, 2008 and made them aware that I have not received a bill. They advised me that they had an incorrect address. They were asked why they did not contact me so that I could get them the correct address. I was advised they do not do this. They advised that they would take off the late fees etc and that it would not affect my credit report. They advised they would send me the bill with the appropriate adjustments. I again waited for a bill and again never received this bill.
So again I contacted Customer Service on or about March 19, 2008. I again advised that I had not received a bill. The gentleman I spoke with advised that there was an address issue again. He assured me that all late fees would be dropped, that my credit would not be affected by this. He advised he would send out a new bill with a due date of March 14, 2008. I advised that it was the 19th of March. That I would already be considered late. He again assured me that there would be not late fees. My husband received this bill and paid what we owed. We had to subtract the late fees because they were added to my bill.
I received another bill April 24, 2008 that we still owed over $38.00 in fees. I contacted Old Navy credit card and advised that they had better be putting my account a zero and that my credit report better be squeaky clean. James #68739 assured me this would happen. I also spoke with his supervisor regarding this matter. I advised that my account better be a zero balance and that better not be any issues with my credit report or I would have an attorney contact them. I also requested a copy of my new balance.
Stressful!! Time consuming to take care of this situation when I thought it was taken care of . My credit report will get ran next week at my request to determine if this has damaged my perfect credit report!

When I went to purchase the jacket I did not get the discount.I questioned the sales cleerk and she told me it was not considered outerwear but actually active wear.I asked to speak to the manager. She was told me the sale was actually for heavy style coats. My complaint is that the advertised sale stated outerwear not heavy coats.Again, this jacket is intended to be worn as a coat. It shows on the receipt as a toggle fleece.
I complained to their customer service email address and received an apology for being mislead.

Wrong, incorrect and they should fire their head of advertising and I hope they are fined!

Have seen others with this problem with Old Navy, especially during their promotional when they offer an additional percentage off merchandise for applying for a card.
We paid more for the item than we should have because of this. We did qualify for the extra discount but surprisingly couldn't get a card based on a seemingly false credit report.
