How does Fabletics work?

Fabletics is a subscription-based retailer best known for its leggings and other athleisure clothing and accessories. You can purchase items without being a member, but list prices are high without the VIP Member discount.

Potential members start with a quiz to determine their style and preferences. We went through the quiz and it took less than five minutes. Questions cover how and where you like to work out, your preferred color palette, your body type and your clothing sizes.

Once the quiz is over, Fabletics prompts you to sign up for its VIP Membership Program. Members receive a special sign-up offer and get a credit each month to order a new item from the site. Members can also purchase items above and beyond their monthly credit at any time with their member discount, which is up to 50% off list prices.

You can choose clothing or choose to skip each month. If you don't make any selections or select to skip by the fifth of the month, the company charges you the $49.95 monthly membership fee and applies it as a credit to your account.

Fabletics price

The price of a Fabletics VIP Membership is $49.95 each month. New members receive a one-time “2 for $24” deal on leggings, which the company markets as a combined $99 value. We recommend choosing your first leggings carefully, as this is the lowest price you receive throughout your membership.

Typical prices for leggings on the site run from $24.95 to $69.95, but if you’re a member, you get up to 50% off list prices. For the $49.95 monthly membership fee, you also get to choose a qualifying item from Fabletics’ inventory of workout attire. Fabletics charges the membership fee whether or not you make a purchase, but the credit stays on your account and never expires.

The company provides month-to-month subscriptions, so you're not locked into a long-term contract and can cancel at any time.

Fabletics FAQ

What is Fabletics VIP Membership?

You become a Fabletics VIP Member when you sign up for its monthly subscription service. Members receive a monthly credit and up to a 50% discount on all items.

Is there a monthly fee for Fabletics?

Yes, Fabletics costs $49.95 per month.

Do you have to make a Fabletics purchase every month?

No, you can choose to skip a month. Skipping allows you to pause your subscription for the month without being charged. However, you must choose to skip the month between the first and the fifth; if you do not skip in time, you have to pay your subscription fee whether or not you make a purchase. If you don’t make a purchase, the credit is applied to your account for future purchases.

How do you cancel Fabletics?

You can cancel your Fabletics membership at any time by contacting Fabletics via phone or live chat. There is no cancellation fee.

Still have questions?

Is Fabletics worth it?

If you plan to use your credit every month, a Fabletics VIP Membership provides a good price on quality leggings. However, if you’re unsure that you would use the account credit each month, a subscription-based model might not be for you. The good news is, Fabletics does have an open cancellation policy, so you’re not locked into a contract if you try it and decide it’s not for you.

Absolute junk company. They lock you into their "VIP" subscription model by offering super cheap deals on first purchase. They then make it almost impossible to cancel. They refuse to fully reimburse you when returning items. Total shame of a company.

I called in April of 2026 and requested a refund of all the charges and to cancel whatever they were charging me for. Fabletics continued to charge me every month! I called again in July 2026 to refund my money and again to cancel whatever they were charging me for. This company is a scam and will continue to suck money from whoever gives them their information. NEVER order anything from this company.

I was a big fan of Fabletics scrubs. I wore them every day for work. I recently found out the company places a time limit on their VIP credits. It's ridiculous a company thinks it's ok to take your money and then set a limit on how long you have to spend the credit. I don't need scrubs all the time so I don't need to keep purchasing scrubs. Once the credit expires that's it no refund you just gave the company your money for nothing in return. I do not recommend doing business with them.

Fabletics is a waste of time. It tries to promote their items and seasonal promotions, make you sign up and make you place an order for their VIP monthly subscription and it tells you that you have to cancel your subscription between the first and the fifth or they will charge you $70 but then they don’t tell you that it cancels the order that you made as well if you do not receive the items before canceling the subscription, wow I was so amazed. What a scam to try to bring people in, but do not deliver what was advertised. I will never buy anything from this website again. Do not recommend, a rip-off. Only do they tell you this after the fact that you put your card information in and place the order already but then tells you you have to cancel it before the 1st and the 5th, where does that make sense?

This is most shady company. I bought a pair of jeans on my credit card. Which I returned. The following month I noticed a change of 69.95 on my credit card. When I called the company they ghosted me. Then I had call my credit card company who gave me the company number which was not on their web page. After keeping me on hold they said that was a VIP membership change which I had not signed up but incidentally, "When we give a credit card AI automatically charges your credit card. The company then takes 69.95 cents from your credit card." The most fraudulent way of cheating and taking advantage of customers. My advice don’t buy or give your credit card to this company. Also they hired influencers to promote this company. So don’t follow any influencer who promoting this company.

Shady business model. You shipped me the wrong items then refused to send me my correct order until I shipped back the wrong items you sent me. When I said that was unacceptable and I didn't understand why I as the customer should have to wait even longer for the items I paid for when their mistake was done on their end, and asked for a refund, I was given the runaround and after almost 30 minutes of being on hold on the phone I was told I would receive a refund of $59 AFTER I returned the incorrect items that had been sent me. I had originally paid $75 for my order including shipping so on top of everything you are refusing to pay for the shipping of the order with incorrect items you sent me. Terrible business model, shady policies and awful customer service.

I like the style and quality of Fabletics. That's why I initially started shopping with them. However, I can’t justify the pricing unless you are part of the VIP membership. They are simply over priced without VIP. Unfortunately, the VIP membership has been a frustrating experience. Really just very scammish. While they advertise and promote that you can easily skip each month, I have repeatedly been charged even after skipping over and over. Each time this happens, Im told I need to wait 7 to 10 business days for a refund, and it become an ongoing cycle (I skip on the first then randomly get charged on the 8th on the 12th on the 15th they just charge your card randomly after skipping).

Customer service has only made things worse (the main reason I gave up on the company). Instead of taking accountability, representatives often deflect responsibility or offer inconsistent explanations (completely made up like they manually run the card thats why its always different dates or "maybe you didn't skip it correctly" which is nonsense because when you skip online they ask at the end, "Are you sure" then you have to click again to confirm), which feels very dismissive. I have even had to keep records of my conversations just in case I need them later. Completely terrible customer service. Ultimately, I decided to stop supporting the brand because of what feels like unethical business practices and consistently poor customer service. It’s disappointing, because the clothing itself is nice but the overall experience just isn’t worth the hassle. Trust me.

Like many have said, the quality of the product is very nice, but the business model sucks. The VIP credit sells for $69.95 but can only be used on ONE item. So, you either find an expensive item in their catalog or you pay more than the regular price for the item. I am not interested in the expensive items. The shorts are some of the best I've ever worn, but sell for anywhere from $29.95 each to 2 for $19.95. If I use a VIP credit, I am paying more than double for them.

This company's customer service is worthless. I had my first bad experience where they shipped my very first order to someone else in another state. I received someone else's order. I ended up being resent my order twice, once by store location, once by Fabletics. I have moved since Christmas time when all this wrong order stuff was happening. Part of the duplicates are still packed somewhere in a box that may have been placed in storage. The two items I paid for I sent back for a return, I also sent back the two of the duplicates (same exact item). I didn't send back the whole extra package because it was separated in the move.

Customer service insinuated I was stealing and they wouldn't be refunding me for the two items I paid for because I still had the other duplicate items. I said if all items need to be sent back at the same time, then I understand and that's all that needed to be said. Then customer service accused me of changing my story. I can't make this shit up. I told customer service to keep the items and my refund and I'll be canceling my membership and ending my business with your company. That's how I found this website. I went down the rabbit hole of Fabletics customer service reviews.

I like the Fabletics clothes and running shorts but the marketing practices, as most reviews mention, are atrocious. I used the last 2 of my "vip" rewards and then found a pair of pants was too short - much shorter than they should have been. I started a return, which was easy, but when I returned the pants, they issued my 2 refunds - a credit for 40 dollars and 20 dollars back to my CC. This was odd - why not refund all of it to my CC as the return originally stated?

I contacted customer service, and the standard procedure was to issue a check for the 40-dollar credit, to be mailed to me in 4-6 weeks. This is yet another crummy marketing tactic this company uses to keep all things "fabletic" - the money, subscription fees, and complete anti-consumer behavior that seems more normalized than any year in recent memory. I wouldn't recommend Fabletics to any of my friends, family, or neighbors and hope these anti-consumer practices catch up with them by the collective "no" that we can all use to not buy their clothes.

I would give zero stars if I could. I received my first order after joining. Two of the scrub tops were way too big so I wanted to exchange them. I first went to a physical store and they wanted me to charge me to exchange the exact same product with on a change in the size (from large down to a medium). Then when I told them I wasn't doing that and I would just keep what I had, they tried to tell me that because they had already intiated the exchange that I couldn't leave with my 2 scrub tops that I had already purchased online and entered their store with. I did leave, with my tops. I then go online to see if I can get help there. Well, one of the tops is out of stock. Ok fine, I'll just wear it or give it to someone else. Second top we initiate the exchange. I package the item up, put the FedEx label on it and drop off at my local FedEx dropbox.

Fast forward 2 weeks and I've still not heard anything. I log in to my account and it shows that they haven't received my return. I reach out to customer service and am told that even though I have a proof of delivery from FedEx they can't do anything unless I provide a dropoff receipt. Ummm, I put it in a metal dropbox and have the delivery receipt that shows where it was shipped from. They said I will need to go to a FedEx location and get a drop off receipt for them to be able to issue the exchange. I immediately cancelled my membership.

I'm not sure if I am going to take the time to go to FedEx or just chalk this up as a lesson learned. The quality of the scrubs seems good. Prices are steep if you are getting them discounted but you better make sure you have the correct size and there are no issues with the product because basically once received you are not going to get an exchange or refund and may even be scammed out of the product as I am.

When you call to cancel, there is a long wait, and a message that says they will call back. They won't. You'll call the next day and wait for more than half an hour to cancel this charge. By design. A class action lawsuit has been filed against Fabletics, alleging that the company's VIP membership program is deceptive and misleading. The lawsuit claims Fabletics overstates the value of the membership and violates California law by allowing credits to expire after a year and by automatically renewing memberships without proper consent. Here's a more detailed breakdown:

      Allegations:

Deceptive Pricing: The lawsuit argues that Fabletics overstates the value of the VIP membership program by implying that members can easily find items priced at or above the $59.95 monthly membership fee. It suggests that the vast majority of items on the site are priced below this amount, making it difficult for members to utilize their monthly credit effectively.

Automatic Renewal: The lawsuit claims that Fabletics automatically renews memberships without proper consent from members, violating California law.

Expired Credits: The lawsuit also alleges that Fabletics violates California law by allowing member credits to expire after a year.

This review only pertains to the online experience. I purchased a scrub pant on 6.25.25 via the website. I received a tracking number which showed no tracking information. I called customer service after waiting 15 business days (should take 7-10 days). I was told to give it another week. Second time calling I requested a refund to which I was told to wait another week. I filed a Transaction Dispute with my bank yesterday as I have still not received the item almost 30 days later. Today my membership was canceled which I think speaks for itself.

Fabletics is a company that will blindly take your money before you know what happened. I ordered 2 pairs of pants for the total cost of $29.95. Unbeknownst to me that this came with a membership. Then they started taking money out of my account. Needless to say I disputed the claim. This was in May the company is saying that I received the pants which I haven’t, the membership was to be cancelled in June my money for that month was refunded. How about after the membership was cancelled they took membership fees out again. This company continues to say that the pants were received, but they were not. Watch your bank account if you even looked at this company. Buyer beware.

I placed an order with Fabletics after joining the membership program, excited to take advantage of their advertised deals. Unfortunately, only one item arrived. After contacting customer service and being told to wait an extra 10 days for my order, I had to contact them again only to be told to wait another 5 days. When my order still didn’t arrive, I contacted customer service again. Instead of tracking my order, the representative cancelled my order without my confirmation and issued a refund. The items I wanted were no longer offered at the special deal with my size. I joined Fabletics based on a promise of quality service and that promise was not honored in my case. I tried to send an email to customer service to complain and it was rejected because they no longer communicate through email, only by Facebook messenger or calling customer service.

I placed an order and was very excited to try their product. For 10 days, it has been sitting in a delivery warehouse in Georgia. Nobody at their shipper, or at Fabletics seems to care. They kept blaming the delay on weather, however, it was at the final warehouse for over a week before any stormy weather occurred. I have spoken with the shipper and they keep saying it will be delivered tomorrow, and tomorrow has not come yet. Similar thing with Fabletics. This has been a very frustrating process and I would don't recommend these guys, due to their poor customer service and apparently non-existent delivery service.

I bought a couple pair of scrubs and the next thing I knew I was a member. I never asked to be a member. The website is very difficult to cancel. I called. I was number 205 in the queue so I decided to chat, I was number 33. I finally was able to cancel my so called that I never ask for membership. I emailed the company asking them to cancel the membership in April 2025. Instead they skip a month then charged my card a membership fee in June. I was furious. I would have ask for credit and maybe went inside the store to shop but I am afraid that I would be signed up again without my permission.

I unknowingly signed up for the vip membership, and was charged $60. Trying to cancel is nearly impossible. I tried to cancel using the chat feature, after about 45 minutes of waiting, I had to give up. I tried calling them and the wait time was about an hour and a half. I still have not been able to cancel my membership, or try to get a refund. It feels like they do this on purpose and are robbing people.

The items are quite expensive and your membership credit doesn’t cover the full cost—there are always extra fees. When you try to cancel, the process is difficult and your account isn’t fully canceled; I was charged again even after trying to cancel. Customer service asks endless questions before letting you leave. Save yourself the trouble—don’t sign up! It ended up costing me way more than it was worth.
