Our editor’s take

Cloudstore is an ideal marketplace for your machinery needs. The company is nationwide and partners with dealerships to give you a handful of equipment options. Although its products don’t come with a large warranty, the company does offer zero-down financing with long term lengths.

At the time of publishing, Cloudstore doesn’t have enough reviews to get a sense of the overall customer experience.

Cloudstore equipment

Cloudstore is an online marketplace for heavy machinery. It connects you directly to a large network of dealerships and sellers. Because it offers a variety of tools and equipment, the company separates its products by category. Equipment available includes:

  • Construction: Loaders, excavators, trucks, dozers and motor graders
  • Agriculture: Tractors, tillage equipment, planters, harvesters and chemical applicators
  • Material handling: Forklifts, telehandlers, scissor lifts and boom lifts
  • Attachments: Tractor buckets, box blades, rotary cutters, tine rakes and angle blades
  • Forestry: Wood chippers and mulchers

How to get Cloudstore products

Cloudstore is on online marketplace. You can enter your zip code and mileage parameters to browse equipment near you. The company gives you the option to further filter your search by equipment type, hours used, year, serial number, brand, make and model.

Each available product that fits your search will be listed with a price, estimated finance price, location and shipping options.

Cloudstore coverage

Cloudstore is available nationwide. Because it is a marketplace of sellers, the company offers both shipping and pickup (if nearby). To find options in your area, search its site by zip code. You can adjust the mileage parameters if you are interested in picking up equipment yourself. However, Cloudstore shows nationwide shipping options if the right equipment isn’t close to you.

When you purchase a machine from Cloudstore, they offer protection plans under CloudCover. This coverage is designed to protect your purchase, ensuring you're covered for unforeseen issues not disclosed at the time of sale.

Cloudstore pricing

Because of the variety of products and equipment, Cloudstore pricing varies. The company’s inventory changes and updates regularly because it is a dealer marketplace. Other factors that affect pricing are shipping costs, new vs. used equipment and equipment type. Cloudstore offers financing options with same-day funding for qualified borrowers. Zero-down financing options can be offered with terms up to 84 months.

Warranty

Cloudstore offers a short warranty on all purchases. If you find a defect in your machinery within seven days of purchase or five hours of operation (whichever comes first), you can submit a claim to the company for repair and reimbursement options.

In addition to the manufacturer's warranty, Cloudstore is partnered with Machinery Scope to offer a warranty on select machines. This warranty safeguards you from unexpected repair costs, ensuring that your machine remains in optimal working condition. It protects your equipment from potential breakdowns and keep your business running smoothly.

In the news

In September 2024, Cloud Store partnered with agricultural financing provider AgDirect to streamline the equipment purchasing process for farmers. The collaboration integrates AgDirect's financing solutions directly into Cloud Store's online marketplace, allowing customers to secure funding for equipment purchases in under two minutes.

"This joint effort is helping us serve more customers than ever before, bringing us one step closer to our vision of revolutionizing the equipment purchasing process," said Cloud Store founder and CEO Charles Anderson.

I bought a T550 Bobcat Loader, track loader from Cloud Store and I’m very satisfied and happy with it. I wasn't too sure about buying a used one, but when I got this one here, it was a little rough on the outside. I went through it completely, checked everything and it looks like that thing has got a brand-new motor. And they serviced it well because oil was changed, and a few filters as well. It was a little over full on hydraulic, but that's no big deal. The seat was good, the controls were good, the lights were working, the floors were a little dirty, but it’s okay. The wiring was nice and neat, and there’s no patchwork where somebody twisted a wire together or something. So, whoever maintained it was a professional.

There's a neighbor down the road and I had done some work for him fixing his machines and he mentioned that he was looking for a skid-steer, so I gave him the number. When they brought in the machine, he called me and I went over there to see it. The motor was nice and clean, it looked like it had never been run, it had solid rubber tires, and he loves it.

Cloud Store was advertising what I was looking for, which was a skid-steer. It was an advantage that it gave me a nationwide search as opposed to looking for something local. And they already had ties in place with the financial company. So, I didn't have to worry about going to the bank and finding financing. The disadvantage is that you only have seven days to find anything wrong with the skid. Now that that period is past, I'm finding little things that probably need attention that are going to cost me money. So, in a way, I regret that aspect of it. It creates a little bit of fear in me that I'm gonna end up spending more than I could have if I bought local and had a better warranty than what was offered.

Cloud Store was very up-front and helpful. When things were wrong, they bent over backwards to try to get it fixed. They were always in touch and always made follow-ups. So I'm very happy about that. But seven days is not enough. This is a very used piece of equipment, and you don't know what's gonna go wrong in the first seven days. So, it would have been helpful to have a better warranty. Otherwise, they were very good.

Cloud Store's equipment, specifically the RC mower, appealed to my professional needs. However, my purchasing experience was a mixed bag. While the machine met my expectations regarding quality and features, the delivery process was problematic. They attempted to charge me significantly more for delivery—$2,500 instead of the going rate of approximately $1,100. After contesting this, everything was sorted out. It's concerning that the onus was on me to catch that discrepancy. Their customer service was professional, but it proved difficult to negotiate any price reductions.

Exploring the Cloud Store website, I found it decently attractive and user-friendly. It offered everything I needed for browsing and selecting machinery efficiently. As a business owner, extreme professionalism and transparency in dealings stood out for me, and Cloud Store mostly lived up to that standard. Communication was another strong suit—they answered all questions and followed up diligently, which is something I value highly in any business interaction.

Price-wise, their offerings were competitive. Additionally, Cloud Store carried machinery that was hard to find elsewhere, which gave them an edge in my purchasing decision—especially after three years of searching for the right equipment.

My machinery was delivered within a couple of weeks, aligning with industry standards. Overall, while the experience was not flawless, it showcased several strengths alongside necessary improvements.

I was looking for a piece of machinery on machinery forums that buy, sell, and trade heavy equipment, and one of the machines I clicked on was located on a Cloud Store site. I spoke to someone who happens to be a representative of Cloud Store and found myself explaining to the gentleman what I was looking for. He said he could help me source it and he did. I ended up buying the equipment through Cloud Store and it was just delivered this past Friday. It took about a week turnaround. The notion that if I quickly got the payment in, they could get the machine shipped out to me the next day didn't happen. I quickly jumped through hoops to hurry up and get the wire transfer from my bank in the following day. But the equipment wasn't shipped out until almost a week later.

We were able to include a lot of things that I wanted with it and it operates well so far. It only came with one key, but that's fine for a used product. If it's at a Cat dealer, which it was, it's easy to replace it with a second key. The dealer did not ship the second key, and I would like to have it shipped. But I also found myself realizing that the door latch itself is very finicky. When you get inside the machine, you need to slam the door multiple times to get the door shut, which is not ideal.

When we were moving some tree trunks around, I got out of the vehicle to make an adjustment and the door shut. It latched without me needing to slam it. I didn't think anything of it, but when I got ready to get back in the vehicle, I could not. I was prepared to break the glass on the machine I just purchased a couple of days prior to get in. I had to hit the door handle a couple of times and it wiggled loose. I have seven days to get back to Cloud Store and that's something I was going to write up and send their way. That's my biggest gripe.

The tracks that I have on the machine are bald. They may have serviced the machine, but I have to buy new tracks and tracks are about $2,000. The other day when I was using the machine, it rained. It also rained the day before and it made the ground pretty soft. As I was moving around, the ground was slowly turning to mud. I had to rock this 9,000-pound machine back and forth to move. I've driven lots of these, and that was not supposed to happen. Track treads typically last 1,500 to 2,000 hours. I made the purchase with about 1,600 hours on it so it's within tolerance. But I would have expected them to notice the treads are bad and replace them.

If you're looking to buy a piece of machinery and you want to save a little time and effort from looking all over the web, Cloud Store is a good option. They have lots of equipment from across the country that they can source. I was able to get a 500-hour warranty on my machine, which is great. All in all, with low hours, relatively good warranty, and the peace of mind of knowing I didn't have to frantically look for equipment all over the place and I was able to work with someone from Cloud Store, that's worth it. I will be buying another piece of machinery, hopefully before the fall, if I can get business moving fast enough. If I did so, I would buy through Cloud Store again.

I drive trucks for a living and have been interested in buying a mini excavator for a while. But the prices locally for used machinery were just a little higher than I thought they should be. I had picked up an excavator in Alabama and delivered it to some people that stay about 40 or 50 miles from my house here in North Carolina.

I decided to ask them what made them think it was worth it to have it hauled all the way from Alabama. I told them I’ve been looking for an excavator myself. I was able to ask about the price and the contact information of the company they dealt with.

They gave me Tyler's number and told me that he was super helpful in finding theirs. And he got them a really good deal. I contacted him and I told him what kind of deal I was looking for. He told me to give him a week and he will notify me when something comes up. He called me back 30 minutes later and told me he found a machine that fits everything I want, and for a great price. He sent me the pictures and I told him to get it locked up before somebody else gets it.

I got a little bit better deal than they did. I didn't have to pay delivery fees because I picked it up myself. It was the same size, the same exact machine, and the same year. Mine had a little bit less hours on it. I probably saved about $14,000 on that piece of machinery going through Cloud. If I bought it locally, I would have paid about $35,000 before taxes and title. After tax and everything, after everything was said and done, paying their commission fee and all, the check that we wrote for was $23,990.

The quality is great. It's all American-made stuff that Cloud Store sells. They don't deal with any off-brand rinky-dink equipment or consumer-grade equipment that people would just use occasionally. Everything that they sell is commercial-grade construction equipment.

Since we couldn’t visit local stores, we decided to buy online through Cloud Store because it was easier and they offered better pricing. I did speak to representatives during the process. The quality of service I received was okay, but getting the product was time-consuming. It took about two to three weeks longer than expected.

The product we got was good, except that we were supposed to have a different part on there and a different bucket, and it was different when we received it. We reached out to them, but they did nothing about it. The product is not under warranty. Cloud Store said that’s what the company sent, but that is not what is supposed to be on there, and that is not what I was told.

I found Cloud Store on the internet. And I was somewhat concerned about spending that kind of money without ever seeing the machine. But everything seems to be as they said. I was very happy with them. Overall, the purchase was good. The guy I talked to was gone on vacation but whoever followed up on it did a good job.

Please Read before even calling Cloud Store! On May 14th Cloud Store ran my credit, performing a hard inquiry that will stay on my credit report until June 2027, without my permission. Even worse, I have spent weeks calling the Cloud Store and they either ignore my concerns and fail to call me back, or even worse, they are now dodging my calls. What Cloud Store does is farm your credit out to lenders like Marlin and hope for approvals. They do not care about the consumer's credit score. They are clearly desperate to sell equipment even at a possible the buyer's expense. DO NOT WORK WITH THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!!!

I used Cloud Store for our recent machinery purchase. My secretary found them online. However, it felt like it took forever before we actually received the equipment. That was a bit frustrating, but eventually, we got the machinery we ordered.

As for the purchase experience itself, everything seemed to go smoothly. We acquired the equipment this past spring, and while I don't operate it myself, my son does. The machinery arrived in fine condition, which was expected, though I'm grateful we opted for the extra warranty. That's essential, given that a part which costs $10,000 ended up breaking. Fortunately, the warranty is supposed to cover that, so it’s a relief.

We’re satisfied with Cloud Store. A lady we dealt with was really nice and helped take care of the issues.

I’m not happy with my purchase from Cloud Store. I’m still in the process of purchasing the machine, but I’ve already made my first payment and have put maybe six hours at best on it. Before I even put an hour on it, a code came up. The code is for a secondary computer system. This machine has hand and foot controls, and you can also put attachments on it and run those as well. The computer system that controls that has goofed up, and the history in the machine’s computer shows the issue happened long before I got it and wasn’t taken care of.

I reached out to Cloud Store about the issue. At first, they said it was their problem. I waited a week, and then somebody else from there reached out. They’re impossible to get ahold of unless you want to buy something, but once you’ve got it, it’s a whole different ball of wax. They pawned me off onto Crownstone Machinery, which is where the machine came from. I guess it’s one of their affiliates that they buy from or work a deal with, and then they sell it second-party to me and make a commission. They didn’t forward me any information about where the machine came from, so I had no idea it was coming from an affiliate. I had to figure it out on my own, calling random Bobcat dealerships in Pennsylvania to track it down. I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone based on this experience.

I put my trust in them. The machine is supposedly Bobcat-certified. I spent $40,000 on it, and I can't run anything off of the machine. I also bought attachments for several thousand dollars that I can’t even use.
