We bought a Shih Tzu puppy from Tina from Lynbrook Shake a Paw a year ago. It is the first year anniversary. The puppy is healthy and doing great. It was a memorable experience to buy a puppy from here and thanks to Tina.

I really appreciate the service and attention that I was given, while looking for the perfect dog for me. Tina was extremely helpful and patient. She provided me with all of the information I needed to comfortably pick the perfect dog for me. I loved the services that I received. My experience was great.

We bought our puppy here during Covid. I was very concerned about buying from a pet store but it was an awesome experience. We got our 9 week old puppy from shake a paw who is nothing but a healthy bundle of joy... and now 10 months old. I am so happy to have this amazing fur baby. Thanks Shake a Paw!

We purchased our dog from Shake-A-Paw two years ago this November! I am a first time dog owner, my husband grew up with dogs his whole life, and Tom was able to answer all of my questions and left me feeling confident!! Since, I have gone back countless times to pick up food, bedding, toys, treats, and all of my dog's other needs. Everyone is always so friendly and helpful!! Highly recommend!!

Avoid at all costs! My boyfriend recently bought me a Boxer puppy from this place. 3 days later the puppy became critically ill. We took the puppy to the vet of Shake a Paw's choosing where we were told the puppy was so sick she needed to be rushed to a 24 hour emergency care. We later found out that the puppy had HERPES, PNEUMONIA, and MYCOPLASMA. Even after a vet sent an official Certification of Unfit Sale meaning that the puppy should have never been sold, Shake a Paw is still refusing to give us a refund. We found out from the vet that it is state law that the pet store has to refund us the money and it has been past their window of opportunity to return us the money and still nothing. Shake a Paw still has the dog and yet we have no dog and no refund. Absolutely disgusting place.

First time buying a puppy, was easy and fast, many breeds, mixes and ages of dogs to choose from, workers very nice, my helper Tina made the process understandable and easy. Also provides a mini supply and accessories for your puppy. Big place, surprised.

We had a wonderful experience and Michael was an outstanding and knowledgeable point person. He answered all our questions and was patient when we called back for more help. Our new addition came to us in perfect condition and highly recommend Shake A Paw.

I really had a wonderful experience at Shake A Paw in Lynbrook purchasing my beautiful fur baby Bailey. Everyone was so pleasant and friendly especially Tina. The store was extremely clean. I would definitely purchase another fur baby there in the future. Go back often for products for my love.

James & Kevin were extremely helpful in providing the best service possible. They were very knowledgeable on the care of my new puppy. They provided many tips to ensure my puppy would be happy and healthy. I visited many pet stores to find the perfect dog for me. Going to Shake-a-Paw for the first time for my first pet it was honestly a wonderful experience, Ed and Tina are the best they explained everything to me in a very respectful way and you can really see their passion for all the pets and the customers. 5 stars for me!!!

6/30/20. Tina assisted us in finding our Golden Retriever puppy. She was patient and knowledgeable. She provided us with many options. The staff also assisted us with carrying everything around the corner for car service pick up. Prices are a little high, but service is outstanding. Mahalo Tina.

Got my precious Miniature Schnauzer from there and I couldn’t be happier. The staff there was so patient and helpful to me. They gave me lots of information to help me take care of my pup. Every time I go there to pick up some treats, I always feel welcomed. I would highly recommend them if you're looking for a new furry friend.

Ed & Tina helped me get a beautiful baby girl puppy. She is a such a good girl. And I love the fact that I chose to get her from this place because it was first love at sight. Thank you so much for having this place.

Our experience was an awesome one. We love our puppy. She is so cute and lovable. Dylan made sure our process in buying the dog was easy and the process went well. We were given all of her information and most of all she was already chipped so I didn't have to worry about that expense at a later time.

I purchased my Shetland Sheepdog August 2019. He has been in excellent health when I bought him and still today. The staff was great. Spencer is so smart sweet loving and supportive. He is fully house-trained. He did it in two weeks. Today he is a service support dog. You can never ask for a better dog. I plan on purchasing a female shelty for him as a companion. And again from Shake A Paw in Hicksville.

Shake A Paw's reputation will go down in history as the WORST pet store on Long Island. Within a week of buying my puppy I brought her to her first vet visit and they told me she had a heart murmur. 5 weeks later she was hospitalized breathing only with oxygen as her lungs were filled with fluid. She died at just 15 weeks, yes 15 weeks. Their own recommended veterinarian/animal hospitals BOTH told me the store knowingly sold me a dog with cardiogenic pulmonary edema who ultimately died from heart failure. Countless vets certified the dog was unfit for sale and their animal hospitals see dogs die from their store on a regular basis.

We are so ecstatic with our Shih Tzu puppy we got from Shake A Paw in Hicksville. She is perfect in every way and an extremely loving animal. We are first time puppy owners so we needed a lot of help and attention. The staff there is terrific and we dealt primarily with Alexia and Mottaela. They helped us get all of the necessary equipment and explained what we needed to do with feeding, crating and training her to become housebroken. Since this has been such a positive experience we wanted to share it with others. We highly recommend Shake A Paw in Hicksville because they are knowledgeable, caring and patient.

On 7/27/19, we placed a $300 deposit for what we were told is a hypoallergenic dog, a cavapoo puppy at Shake A Paw Lynbrook, NY. The salesperson advised $300 is the minimum they would take to hold the puppy our daughter fell in love with. We visited multiple times while the dog was getting its shots and being made ready to be picked up. Our 4-yr-old son was having allergic reactions while our 8-yr old daughter was fine. We thought that perhaps it was just the number of dogs in the store and the dander that can be seen on the floor and in the air and the fact they clean up after the dogs with only paper towel rather than any cleaning agents. Our son was tested 8/2 and was confirmed allergic.

I bought a cocker spaniel from the Shake A Paw in Hicksville. He just turned a year. I am so happy with him! Anytime I go back to the store for any advice or purchases, everyone is so helpful and they are so happy to see the dog!

I bought a cocker spaniel in Nov 2018. He is now 1 year and the the best & cutest dog. As I return back to the store for advice, food or toys the employees are helpful and so happy to see the dog. So happy with my furry friend and my decision to buy from Shake A Paw in Hicksville.

I bought two chihuahuas from Shake A Paw in Lynbrook last October. Both chihuahuas are very healthy. My experience with Shake A Paw was great. I highly recommend Shake A Paw to anyone looking for a dog.

I recently bought a Cocker Spaniel puppy at Shake A Paw in Hicksville. I had a wonderful experience with all the workers and any questions or concerns I had about my puppy were always answered with a smile. I can't say enough about the positive experience I had buying a dog from them and I get so much joy from this beautiful dog!

The help was friendly and helpful, puppies were so cute I wish I could take them all home with me. Store was well maintained and I would recommend them. I had no difficulty finding what I needed. They have a wide selection of products for your pets needs.

This is my second purchase from Shake a Paw. I've never had any issues with them and they have always been accommodating. Because I was a previous buyer they gave me a discount plus the discount from the coupon. They had a variety of puppies to choose from but I went in knowing what I wanted. I would definitely recommend them to a friend or relative.

During my experience in Shake A Paw the workers were so helpful when I was picking out the fifth member of my family. My new dog Stella. They were so helpful and helped me find the perfect dog that me and my family wanted. They let me sit in rooms alone with different dog to find the perfect one. I got my Goldendoodle puppy from Shake a Paw and had no issues with the puppy and purchasing him was easy and exciting! They took care of him and made sure he was groomed, feed and healthy before he came he came to his new home. He came home healthy and stayed healthy. They were very helpful and would recommend purchasing a puppy from them.

My husband found our short-haired dachshund Molly on the Shake-A-Paw website. He and my daughter surprised me with the visit to the store, which is an awesome presentation in its surroundings. My favorite area in the store was the puppy display. There were so many varieties of dogs to chooses from. The dogs all looked to be well fed, happy and clean. I would highly recommend the Hicksville Shake-A-Paws store to friends and family members searching for quality puppies at decent pricing.

James was great helping find our puppy. Great place and our vet said our puppy had been well taken care of. Price for the puppy was good the store was clean and the puppies were brushed and happy and playful.
