I originally wanted to wait to write my review until after my concerns with the company were resolved, but it's been almost 7 weeks since I ordered my BarkBox & it still hasn’t arrived. Because of this, I thought I would go ahead & write about my experience so far, rather than waiting even longer. I would like to start off my review by stating that from all outward appearances, the BarkBox company has a great operation underway & there are parts of their services that they do really well.
By submitting this review, I in no way mean to suggest that the whole company is incompetent or a not worthwhile, but rather that there are some significant holes in their operating practices & customer service that need a lot of attention & work to be rectified. It is my hope that my review can assist in the betterment of the company as a whole.
Now, the gritty details: I ordered my puppies SuperChew BarkBox on November 3, 2018. It noted on the website that first-time box recipients will have their boxes (typically) shipped within 2-3 business days of their order & around the 15 of every month, thereafter. Unfortunately this was not the case, as we ordered our first box on November 3 & had to wait 10 days for our box to be shipped (shipped on November 13, 2018).
We didn’t receive an email or any kind of notification explaining that our boxes shipment would be delayed, which was disappointing. Receiving notice that it would take an additional 7 days to ship would have helped us to set realistic expectations as to when our box would arrive & would have helped field our disappointment that it didn’t ship within the typical time frame. I understand that the website says ‘typically’, implying of course that the 2-3 day prediction is not always accurate, however, to be 7 days past the typical timeframe seems extreme? In the very least, perhaps it would be more appropriate for the timeline listed on the website to be 2-10 days, so as to avoid customer disappointment.
Despite being disappointed, we quickly forgot about the week-long delay in our excitement for our BarkBox to arrive! The BarkBox website notes that shipping to Canada can take anywhere from 4-12 business days, so I assumed it would take the maximum of 12 (just to set my expectations) & very patiently waited for it to arrive. After 13 days passed without receiving our BarkBox, I connected with the BarkBox staff to see what the hold up was on our box. I was notified that because of the Canada Postal Strike, the arrival of our box would be delayed, as it currently was stopped at the Canadian/U.S border. I was also notified that because the box we ordered was a special deal (double the content box! ), that it might be too heavy to cross the border. If this was the case, the box would be shipped back to the BarkBox headquarters, separated into two boxes & reshipped back to Canada.
I have a few thoughts & observations on this: 1. I completely understand that the postal situation is out of their control & that the company doesn’t want anyone’s box to be delayed either. That being said, I found my self confused when weeks passed & every time I checked in with a BarkBox staff member, they notified me that the Box was still at the border & they were still unsure as to whether it would be processed & sent to Canada or whether it would be returned to headquarters.
I feel like it is relevant to note that I ordered packages from all over the U.S before, at the time of & after I ordered this BarkBox (all during the Canadian Post strike) & all items I ordered arrived with no more than a 3 day delay, except for this box. I’m not a postal expert, so I have no idea why all my other packages could be delivered to me from the U.S without any major issues, but this box couldn’t… but it added to my frustrations as we continued to wait for the box.
2. My second & largest issue to date: I connected with the BarkBox team 5-6 times in the past 6 weeks, & each time they reiterated that the box was delayed because of the Postal Strike & that they still were not sure whether or not the box would be shipped back to the BarkBox Warehouse or onto me, in Canada (because the box was too heavy). I cannot understand why BarkBox, knowing that the November Box was too heavy (& knowing that the majority of boxes that were sent out before mine had been returned to their warehouse) would not send out 2 new November boxes to waiting customers, as soon as they were aware that most boxes were being returned due to their weight.
The very worst case scenario for them in this situation is that SOME people would receive two November boxes (after they shipped the new ones out & if any of the original boxes were shipped forward, rather than being returned to the warehouse) & the best case scenario is that all of the November boxes they originally shipped would be returned to their warehouse & instead of customers having to wait for their BarkBox to be returned from the border, processed, separated into two boxes & reshipped, clients could have had the new boxes already shipped & on their way to them, rather than having to wait out that entire alternative process. Even if the ‘worst case’ scenario went through, I think that some people (who have been waiting forever) receiving two November boxes would serve as a really honorable ‘sorry for the delay & general shipping chaos’ apology.
3. It’s unfortunate that more research wasn’t done into finding out the appropriate shipping weights, etc. before these boxes were shipped out. I am aware, however, that the company is probably beating themselves up about this more than anyone else, so I’ll let that one go. Last week I connected with the Barkbox team to receive another update on what was happening with our November box.
They notified me that it was at the warehouse (& possibly that it had been for a few days? But that wasn’t really clear) & they asked if I wanted it to be re-shipped to me or if I would prefer to receive a refund. I appreciate that receiving a refund was one of the options, however, this conversation left me confused because it made it seem like the box was just going to sit in the warehouse until I got a hold of BarkBox myself? Which makes me wonder what would have happened if I hadn’t contacted them? Again, this is just speculation, so I don’t actually have an answer to this question, but I would have appreciated an email update once my box was on its way back from the border to the warehouse, or once it arrived at the warehouse (maybe an email was coming soon though, this is unclear).
This brings us to today. It's been almost 7 weeks since I originally ordered the BarkBox. I haven’t received an email saying that my box reshipped, however, I contacted BarkBox today & they assured me that it has (& were able to send a tracking link, which was helpful). It might be worth mentioning that I was provided a tracking link when the original box shipped, but when you click on the link, it takes you to the BarkBox main page (& I can’t for the life of me find out how to go from there to the actual tracking section?). This might just be a glitch that needs to be worked out.
Also, unfortunately, I also asked about our December BarkBox today & if that has shipped. The attendant notified me that the payment for the December Box didn’t go through, so the box hasn’t been sent. The fact that the payment didn’t go through for this box is completely my fault & I take full ownership of that. My frustrations, however, are related to the fact that it’s been 6 days since they tried to charge my card, but I never received an email or a single notice that there was any sort of issue with the payment. Even when I log onto my account, everything looks normal.
This again leaves me feeling like I never would have received my December box if I hadn’t reached out to the Barkbox team, which is frustrating because the payment issue is something I could have corrected right away (if I had known about it). Unfortunately however, because I didn’t reach out sooner, this means our December Box will also have at least a 6 day delay, which didn’t need to be the case.
So, to summarize this gigantic review, here are the main takeaways: PROS: I appreciate that the website has a ‘chat’ option – this has been very helpful to me to receive quick updates on shipping status, etc. All of the representatives that I talked to have been kind & fairly knowledgeable. There are other aspects of BarkBox that I really appreciate & think are very unique (i.e.: their superchewer toy return, their informative FAQ page, etc).
CONS: Aside from the representatives apologizing for the delays or lack of information shared, there has been no effort towards customer care or any attempt at apologies/amends (above & beyond verbal/written). I think that this is unfortunate because I would be more inclined to continue ordering from BarkBox if I felt like they genuinely cared about this review/me as a customer/these frustrations & were able to express that in a way that went beyond just words. Lack of communication between BarkBox & customer. Lack of attempt or forethought to rectify the ‘overweight’ November box situation, despite their ability to do so (or to find some kind of way to apologize to customers to make the situation a little bit less frustrating).
Again, I hope that anyone reading this review can understand that BarkBox isn’t all bad & I don’t mean to say that they are not a good company. & again, I reiterate that I believe there are things that they do really well. However, I think that there are some areas that they really need to work on (customer service/going above & beyond with frustrated customers maybe being the absolute first thing). I hope that this review has been informative for anyone reading it & most importantly, that it can serve as a tool to the BarkBox company & shed some light on some areas within their business that desperately need to be strengthened.

For Christmas I decided to order some treats and toys for my dog since BarkBox has his favorite toys. I ordered in November. It’s now a few days before Christmas and I haven’t even received a tracking number. I’ve been emailing customer service constantly, tried reaching out on Facebook, all to be met with nothing. When I finally got an email response from customer service she told me there was a “glitch” in the tracking number but she could “confirm it was shipped on the 7th and should’ve been there”. In other words, "Not my problem". I’m so disappointed as now it’s just days before Christmas and I will have nothing for my dog. Do not buy from BarkBox. I feel like I was completely overlooked and I won’t support this brand anymore.

Was excited to get started with The Grinch special box for November as a present for my daughter and my 2 grand-dogs. However 6 weeks later we haven't received the first box...it's almost Christmas and we were looking forward to the antlers beforehand among other things. Then on top of that we have been billed for the second box already with still nothing to show for what I've paid for already. I'm extremely disappointed since we've really been looking forward to receiving them from the day we ordered them. I'm really regretting signing up for 6 months of which I'm not sure I'll see anything for it. Good thing dogs don't understand like kids do that their gifts aren't coming...especially in time for Christmas... But Grandma is extremely disappointed.

I was a regular subscriber and enjoyed the products. My dog gets bored of treats very quickly and destroys her toys equally as quickly. Barkbox was an inexpensive solution to that. Unfortunately, I was shocked to find that Onion Powder was one of the ingredients in the products. My initial contact was on Facebook where I was informed "in small quantities it is not toxic." I'm not here to argue whether it is or it isn't. I believe it is toxic like every vet will tell you. After calling customer service I was told that the response I received on Facebook was not appropriate and my concerns were being taken "very seriously."
Regrettably, I trusted them and didn't unsubscribe. I received my replacement treat bag for free and said to myself, "Maybe it was a bad month and they slipped." They did not slip, do not care, and didn't take me seriously because my next Barkbox contained treats with the same ingredient. Again, my opinions are mine, but if an ingredient is blacklisted by vets why include it in your treats? Even still why would you send me another product with the very thing I complained about.

I bought the holiday box as a Christmas gift and made sure to select that I wanted the one time box instead of a subscription. A month later, I got an email that they would be sending another one soon. I immediately emailed them and told them there must be a misunderstanding because I just ordered a one time box. Well... the one time box is a subscription that still must be canceled. That is ridiculous and very deceptive. They went ahead and cancelled it for me but said it was too late for the second box. That was at least a week ago and I just got an email today saying the second box was being shipped today. They could have easily canceled it before the second box went out over a week later. The box itself was overpriced but I did like it and could have seen myself buying it from time to time but after this experience, I will never use them again.

We do try to make it apparent at sign up to new pups that all of our subscriptions do auto renew unless they are canceled. I purchased this for 6 months and my Maltese didn’t like any of the treats. Before the subscription ended I canceled with them and even did a chat to confirm. Guess what? I was charged 133 this month and told since they sent a box already they can only refund 112 and Told me to donate the treats to a shelter. I’m angry and instead of going off the handle I’m fighting this with my credit card company since I have proof Of cancellation. Buyer beware.

I signed up for a BarkBox 6 month subscription the beginning of October. The first box arrived very quickly, although Bleu gets a toy only box and the toys were hardly exciting. On November 21st, I received a text linking me to tracking for the next shipment, which would be the Grinch Christmas box. Tracking showed that the shipment info was sent to the FedEx November 15th, and the estimated Delivery Date was shown as December 4th. I contacted Customer Service around Thanksgiving to ask why the shipping was scheduled to take so long. 3 weeks??? I got a great big "I don’t know” as a response with the usual bromide “This is not the fun experience that we had planned for you and your pup.”
That box never arrived and last tracking date is December 1st, with no estimated Delivery Date. It is now December 13th. I have literally spent hours texting with the Bark Team, attempting to get a replacement shipment. Both times, the rep was congenial enough, well versed in doggy puns, and both times commitments were made that were not met. The first attempt resulted in a reorder that was cancelled without any notification, the second attempt, just this past Saturday, promised an immediate USPS Priority Express shipment- guess what- not yet shipped! I have cancelled my subscription and contacted my Credit Card Company to put my charge in dispute. Doing business with BarkBox is hardly worth the effort!!!

1st box arrived quickly. However within minutes our puppy was chewing pieces off toys. Chatted with customer service and was assured a replacement would be sent. Nothing for 3 weeks. Followed up with emails but never got tracking information. Requested no rope toys in another email and finally received a replacement but guess what? It's rope. Requested another replacement but not expecting much of anything. I don't have time to contact this company all the time. The treats were good Quality. Requested a subscription cancellation. Wonder if it will be canceled.

We do see that you and Ruby are currently updated for our super chewer boxes right now. With those boxes since they are still pretty new we are not quite able to customize the items in the boxes. So right now we sadly are not able to customize to exclude rope toys. That is something that we are hoping to be able to do here in the future. So if you happen to get a toy with rope please feel free to donate it to a local shelter in your area during the holidays. Then we are always more than happy to make it right and send out another toy for you and Ruby. Then since the first replacement order contained rope please donate that on us. Then the new toy to make up for this was ordered and should be on the way asap. Have you ever signed up for something online and just quickly clicked on Policies and Terms of Service? Me too. And this is what I did with BarkBox. I have had BarkBox for going on 3 years. Initially it was great. I didn’t mind the $29/month. However, prior to my subscription ending I wanted to unsubscribe as the expense was not necessary. I clicked “unsubscribe” and assumed as was well. The end of my term came up and I didn’t see another box for over one month. I knew I had canceled my policy, so wasn’t expecting anymore boxes. Life went on. After receiving a few more boxes I found it odd and checked my account. They were still charging me even after I canceled my subscription PRIOR to my plan’s expectation date.
This year I knew when to cancel my subscription so I did so. Unfortunately, BarkBox just charged me $299 instead of payments like they always have even after my request to unsubscribe. I read the Terms and Services all the way through and there are bits and pieces that do not make sense to me. I would highly recommend looking at other places that send you dog goodies. And if you do, please read the Terms and Services very very thoroughly before purchase. I personally would not recommend BarkBox to anyone.

I signed up for a year long subscription as a Christmas gift to my sis and her two pups. I immediately got an email confirming my order then also received an email welcoming me to BarkBox the next day. Then, nothing (except the charge to my account). After three weeks, I contacted BarkBox and they said their system showed the package was delivered. It was not nor did I receive any tracking information showing it had even been shipped. They were kind and said they would send another one out immediately. The next morning, I saw my account was charged for another box. I wrote back, at this point pretty aggravated. They explained this was for this month’s shipment. We are now at a week later, and neither box nor any tracking emails have been sent. I’m ready to cancel and ask for money back, which is disappointing because I was sooo excited for this gift.

I had tried BarkBox a year ago and decided it wasn’t for us. A year later, somebody ordered a 12 month subscription under my account. Tried calling, emailing and texting and nobody responds!! Stay far away from this company!! Major scam artists!!

I signed up for BarkBox monthly subscription during the National Dog Day event. No, I did not read the fine print (wish I had). I tried to stop the subscription after the first box arrived, realizing my girls are too small and older to appreciate the toys and size of “treats” that are shipped. I was told August 29 by Miranda and her dog Cricket I could get a customized box.
On August 30th I was sent an email stating my subscription was canceled but the remainder of your subscription will continue to be delivered through July 2019, which is not a cancelation. Later in that day, I received an email from Taylor stating “How about this instead, to help you out of the commitment: I can switch your pup to a new plan at only $21 billed monthly, starting next month! The best part is this is a NO commitment plan, which means you don't have to sign up for multiple months. You just pay once a month, and can stop/start your plan at any time, even after just one more month.”
Sept 13th received an email from Maya saying BarkBox would tailor the boxes. On Oct 30th another email from Amy her dog Henry. November 1st from Aaron stating my chews & treats would be smaller and customized to my dogs. I received the 4th box yesterday, the beef burger chew is not small. And oh, by the way, 5 pound Chihuahuas cannot wear “Max’s Reindeer Ears”. Just curious are these your real names and your dogs? Ok, enough is enough, it is now November 24th, and I have received 4 boxes, most of which have been donated to local shelter. I am not rich and cannot afford to throw away $21 month for something my dogs don’t appreciate. Let us out, please.

We want nothing more than for you and your pup Crystal to enjoy those boxes every month and to get the most out of what you are paying for. Then with that being said we do know that every single pup is different. Which is why we do now offer the option to customize our monthly boxes to cater them to your pups wants and needs better. I do show that we had you tailored for 5 treats and 3 chews monthly. Then your preferences were to get more soft treats, treats that are the same size and then also you had prefernces for your chews to ensure that you only get soft chews as well. I'm so sorry to hear that even after customizing the monthly boxes that the goodies were still not working out for you and Crystal! Then for times like these to keep your pups tail wagging we do always offer to send out another item on us to make it work better and to keep your pup happy. Our customization is still fairly new so it's something that we are working on perfecting so your feedback really goes a long way! Then if anything happens to change in the meantime we would love to have you and Crystal back in the pack!

I was happy with the products however I never received any notification on my renewal. I cancelled my subscription on my renewal date however it was renewed for another year. I contacted BarkBox via email on their site to cancel my subscription however no one has gotten back to me. Very dissatisfied.

I recently order a BarkBox. Received an immediate response thanking for my subscription. A day later received an email that my box had shipped. My card was charged on that day as well. I checked the tracking and had a delivery date of 2 days. After the 2 days with no box, checking the email again and saw "still calculating" with no tracking information. 3 days later signed in and did a chat to find out where my order was. After 1 hour of chat I was told to check for updates!!! I then emailed customer service via website and emailed back the person from my welcome email. I have received no response from anyone. Way too much hassle for no response! I would like to cancel my order but after reading other reviews sounds like that will be yet another hassle with horrible customer service response.

My dog gets so excited to open his BarkBox and once I cut the tape, he can actually do it himself now because he's so thrilled. The toys, in my opinion, are THE BEST. I was extremely skeptical because they are stuffed toys and my dog is a toy destroyer. I don't think he's ever had a stuffed toy last longer than a day without getting to the stuffing. But these toys are shockingly resilient and extremely well made.
I've had BarkBox 5 months now and there's only two toys he's put a tear in since then and I get three toys each time. What's really awesome is that most of the toys have toys inside of them as well. For example, a stuffed toy has a spiky squeaker ball in it that you can give your dog if he/she was to rip the fabric. The themes are amazing and the box I just got made me love BarkBox a thousand times more. It's Grinch themed with many toys, awesome treats and Max "antlers" for your dog. BarkBox really has a special thing for dogs and their owners! Also, if you are concerned about getting your money's worth, I can attest that for the quality of toys and treats you are getting, it is worth it (from a poor college student).

After 3 whole weeks of waiting for my first October box with no updates or working tracking information, BarkBox customer service still refused to refund me. Conveniently, the representative I spoke to had a working tracking number and my package was scheduled to arrive by the end of the week--hence why she couldn't process a refund. (As for the November box, she claimed they already put money into it and couldn't return that either.) The very next day, I opened my mailbox to find a flat envelope marked "lightweight postage." Inside it?
The *instruction manual* for how to enjoy my BarkBox without the actual BarkBox. I wish I could make this stuff up. Representative said they must have made a mistake. I don't know how it is with honest companies, but forgetting to mail your entire product seems like a pretty difficult mistake to make. Good thing my bank accepted my dispute and refunded me the money they refused to. Save yourself the trouble and just get toys of Chewy or at a local pet store. All in all, I ordered on 10/18 and after weeks and weeks of fighting with customer service and trying to chase down my package, I finally got a refund from my bank on 11/8.

Mabel our pup loves her BarkBox. She always knows when a package is for her and gets so excited when she sees it! We love the variety of treats as well as the “allergy” option to prevent her from receiving treats she’s allergic to. The treats are high quality and made in the US. The toys are also amazing! We started with a year-long subscription, but since there a girl isn’t a big chewer or toy destroyer her a little toy box was soon overfilled. We contacted customer service and they were more than happy to help us reduce her subscription to an every other month one so we have more time to go through the treats and toys. We’ve had a few minor issues in the past, but they were always quickly resolved and everyone has been extremely helpful and provided extraordinary customer service.
I even contacted them recently regarding a toy from a BarkBox over year ago that our cat had fallen in love with hoping to replace it since a puppy friend had destroyed it. He seriously carried that toy everywhere and loved to play with it so we really wanted to get him a new one. Not only we're lucky enough that they still have the item in stock, but they Are sending us two free! It wasn’t necessary or asked of them, but it was greatly appreciated. They’ve definitely got a loyal subscriber.

Would really like to give no stars! I had a year subscription. It was an automatic renewal. No notification was provided it was time. Same day due to renew, tried to cancel for next year. Informed too late. Best option offered was to drop to every other month (6 box) shipment instead of monthly. Spoke to another rep, and account not updated. Still set for monthly x 1 year but at a higher price than original. Still would not cancel. Company locks you in and then cannot get out even after completing year subscription.

When our girl arrived at 8 weeks old and a mouth full of little piranha teeth she cut through everything! Including tennis balls, wooden chairs, trees and people like butter! Soon after... This mystery box arrived in the mail! From her favorite far away Auntie! Her first BarkBox! Each box containing themed treats and toys! She absolutely adores them! In fact now when a box arrives she knows it's hers!
And to date, after 7 months she has worried a couple small holes in a couple of the toys but I don't know if it's because they are heavier made than her store-bought toys or just that she loves them more but so far all toys are still viable! I do believe the auntie did request for a heavy chewer. Definitely got us through her puppyhood with much less damage to all else! And she does like variety so different treat choices is always fun for her, and I like knowing they have healthier ingredients! For our girl these boxes have arrived like clockwork to date and we could not be more satisfied!

Well I had the BarkBox shipped to my house four times before giving up. Three out of four months something wasn’t correct. Mostly I didn’t receive the box until the very last days of the month. One month my pet got a toy and a bag of treats from a previous theme, and one toy and treat from that month's theme. (How tacky.) Of course I called them. I was given the same old story about switching warehouses and what not. Not my problem. Anyways the gentleman told me replacement toys would arrive in 2-8 business days. They never arrived. Once again I find myself talking with BarkBox and once again they are going to shop replacement toys. Would you believe I received them, but they were toy we had already received. After that I told BarkBox I’m done. I mean it’s too much to deal with. I’d rather switch to a new company and not have to call monthly checking on my order.

I received my first BarkBox last month and was thrilled, had a wonderful experience. The October subscription came in and after one day it has been a dog lovers nightmare! I excitedly had given him "The Snackenning" apple and bacon treats and a few hours later in the night he kept crying, I woke up turned the light on and my baby was covered in hives the size of marbles everywhere! I gave him ** as well as ** cream and it went away for a few hours. Then came right back. This is the only new product I have introduced him to. He ripped his skin so bad under his pits he needs stitches. BarkBox please look into this item.

I claimed one free BarkBox shipment through Verizon Up rewards program. The rewards program provided a code for one box. When the code was applied, it showed a zero balance, but as I continued through their process, it required my credit card information or PayPal. I chatted online and phoned BarkBox. They said their system requires my payment information, but they guarantee they won't use it. They said they need it so the company isn't scammed and that I'm a real person. Please give me a break...he was talking to me on the phone. BarkBox appears to lure you in with a free treat box, and trick you in with a subscription. Who's scamming who??

I ordered my first BarkBox which was estimated to arrive this Thursday, October 4th (tomorrow). As a first time box buyer you're supposed to receive your box 2-8 business days from your order. I checked on status today and it now says that the box is "still being prepared" when just a couple days ago it had the arrival date of 10/4/18. I already paid for the full 6 months subscription up front. When trying to chat with a service rep they said they had no idea of an estimated date in which I would receive the box. When I asked to cancel the subscription she said I could only cancel going forward and not be refunded for the 6 months I had already paid for. Welcome to BarkBox I suppose! Duped out of my money right out of the gate. I will be going to BBB to get a refund. Paying for services/product then being told "we have no idea what you'll receive this product" is not an acceptable way to do business.

I have always looked forward to the monthly boxes, as well as my pups. However, my recent experience will cause me to never use your service or recommend to others. The cancellation policy and what seems to be a trend of complaints, was a three month process. My dogs' last box contained treats that made them quite sick. Two of my three dogs were up all night vomiting and diarrhea. I’m not sure I would have made the connection to the treats until an email from BarkBox today. They have never reacted to what you are saying was a mislabeled “included barley” response.
My third dog did not eat any of the treats. She actually turned her nose to them. Smart pup. All three of my dogs eat the same food, so this was the only out of the ordinary thing the two others ate yesterday. My youngest pup of two years is still sick and now headed to the vet. I’m upset, disappointed and hope to God my dogs are OK. I would have known over the many years of giving my dogs treats and food, if they had a grain allergy, which you have stated was the issue. Please research or figure it out further before other dogs are suddenly ill with no explanation.

I have been a BarkBox subscriber for 4 years and have previously found them to be mildly inefficient but the billing is accurate, the toys are cute and the packaging is tidy. However, I recently placed a gift order to BarkBox and things have gone badly. I got a delivery eta of a week out. Package not received 2 weeks later, multiple (5) follow-up emails entirely ignored by BarkBox. Response that finally came cited “mass email” to all subscribers (never received, although I continue to receive lots of sales emails from BarkBox) and “ongoing warehouse inventory”, and hopes that the box will ship in the next week or so. There is no mechanism for expediting support requests, and the front line folks appear to working from scripts intended to appease and retain customers, regardless of whether or not the problem can be addressed.

I have a small Chinese Crested Chihuahua and he loves the treats, although the toys are not made sturdy enough. The biggest issue I have is I canceled in advance and they still charged my account! I want a full refund or next stop will be the BBB. If I receive any further boxes they will be returned. The meaning of a canceled subscription is no further payments will be made. Make this right and refund my money please!

Like several corporate replies to others' reviews, I also have been informed by corporate that a "hiccup in the warehouse" is delaying August orders. Zero information was provided by the company up front to explain this problem. I attempted a chat with customer service last week only to discover that there is no chat. I had to leave a message, which wasn't returned. Then I emailed customer service about an ETA. That prompted a corporate reply with the as-now-standard "hiccup in the warehouse" explanation. I was told our August box is "still on the way." That doesn't answer my ETA question.
This company can manage to email me every month asking if I want to double my order (increasing their profit), but they can't manage to send an update about late order distribution. Please. The corporate reply I received states they will add a month to my subscription. Great. But August's box still isn't here, and my account dashboard has only been updated to state that my dog's box "is being built." Still no tracking information or arrival date. My dog loves these boxes and the toys and treats. Overall, we have had a good experience until now. But the utter lack of proactive communication on the company's part about the "hiccup in the warehouse" and their avoidance of a specific response is poor customer service.

Not so happy with this company. It is already August and have not received my July box yet. When I try to check online, it just says, "Information not available yet." Talked to the rep and she said there have been some delays with getting boxes out due to a warehouse move, and while I understand the delay (I guess?), being proactive and communicating this information to customers would go a long way to avoid frustration. They did offer to make the August box free, which is nice, but as of now, my August box will be delivered before the July box. Makes no sense. It's a bummer. I was excited, but I'm not trusting that future orders will be timely.

I purchased a six month order, all prepaid. The only reason I did order was there was a special going on that the first box would be doubled. After a few days the tracking hadn't updated so I chatted with them, and "it will be going out in the next day or two." Two weeks later and NOTHING has shipped. They keep offering me free boxes, but I can't seem to get the initial one that I paid for. A few days ago, a different lady said no you should have gotten it by now I will send a replacement. I thought ok great finally! HAHAHAHA Jokes on me!!! I received an email saying that my replacement was no longer available, but they would be happy to give me a free box at the end of my subscription. I am beyond frustrated, and fed up. I've asked to cancel my subscription, but they keep saying give it a little while. I just want my money back. I can go to the store and buy my babies toys...

I have been using BarkBox for over a year now. And even as I write this and was speaking aloud my dog sat straight up and looked at me when he heard the words BarkBox! It has become a phrase in my house to get the pups to come or do as I say by simply saying those two wonderful words BARKBOX! I have two dachshunds that absolutely love their toys every month, and have even learned when each month to start expecting them and literally watching out the window! But my babies aren't the only ones in love with this company... Over the past year I have found the BarkBox employees to be by far the most kind caring and helpful of any company I have ever dealt with. I have never done one of these reviews before but I created an account for just this company. Greatness like this should be acknowledged!

This company is one I truly support. Their boxes are good value. All their items are high quality and unique. Saves me a trip to the store every month for new toys and the treats are a bonus. I would say if you are on the edge, try it out. If anything the customer service has never given me an issue and are always friendly.

Meme is receiving TWO BarkBoxes. Had not received May box. Saw I had a 12 month subscription. Had an offer for a subscription with bonus toy. Two days later, I received late box, then a couple days new box was here. In June, I got 2 boxes (a few days late). July, they are on schedule, but I'm still getting 2. I only need 1. Thank you.

Both my dogs enjoy the treats and toys they receive monthly. Customer Service is over the top fantastic! Always concerned that the dogs are enjoying their monthly surprises. One of my dogs have allergies, and the box is designed around her allergy. They also offer more durable toys for the heavy chewers - like mine! :)

Every month the box comes and I am literally clobbered by my pups in anticipation. I’m pretty sure the themes are more exciting for me but helps me stay engaged and as excited as they are. It’s a 5 star experience for them but I only gave four stars Because the toys are often too big for little Milo and he will only play with them for a little bit but since he can’t escape with them fast enough cuz of their size the bigger dogs take them. The treats are always a big hit but I won’t give them the bully stick or hard treat because it’s often so hard I can’t even break it and I’m afraid one of them might choke on it so I stay on the cautious side and throw that one away. The last 3 or 4 months I’ve had to do this. Otherwise I love this monthly fun time with my little ones!!

I love coming home and seeing the BarkBox on my porch. My dog, Duke, also loves it when he sees me bring it inside. It's the highlight of the month for Duke. He'll stare at it, because he knows what it is, even though he can't open it. He loves all the toys, and all the treats that he receives. I have not received a treat bag yet that he wouldn't eat. And the customer service is the best on the planet. I'm very happy with being a BarkBox customer!

I have three vizslas--9-year-old Zoltan, 6-year-old Judit, and 5-month-old Sophia. When that box arrives it's like Christmas for them! They get very excited and always have fun "opening" their package to dig into those fun toys and tasty treats! The themes are always clever and the toys are well-made to withstand their aggressive play. I appreciate the variety of treats included, and am impressed with the quality of ingredients. I really love the BarkBoxes that come to the door. It really has good treats and cute toys for our fur babies. There is two things I would change. 1. On the birthday months, you sent out a email asking about the birthday cake treat. I wished it would have arrived before the birthday, instead of 5 days later. It was disappointing.

When I first signed up for BarkBox, I was an excited first-time puppy owner. I loved my dog and I wanted to give him the best of the best, and BarkBox was an excellent way to do that. I love knowing that I'm giving my dog top quality treats, and I never have to worry about running out because I get two bags each month. Being a first time dog owner, I also didn't realize how valuable the auto ship toys would be! While my dog doesn't usually tear through toys, he will rip holes in them to get squeakers out or chew a hole in them. I never have to worry about replacing toys because I know he'll be getting another BarkBox soon.
The themes of the box are fun for me and my husband and are always good for a laugh - I think we look forward to the box as much as the dog! The customer service I have received with BarkBox is also top notch. The very few times I've had an issue or there was a toy that my dog wasn't a fan of, they fixed it right away. I also love the BarkBox app, especially the feature to rate the toys in each box. I like being able to provide feedback on what my pup likes best, and I feel like my boxes have had more toys that he absolutely LOVES since I started reviewing them every month. 10/10 would recommend to anyone with a dog.

I have been subscribing to BarkBox for about a year after we got our new puppy and we couldn't be happier! Every month we receive the best treats and toys and Jerry is always so excited! Additionally, I love how they reach out about your experience and what works and what isn't. I also appreciate the options to add, upgrade or change items based on your dog's needs/wants, This has been a great experience for us and our pup and we don't have to leave the house! Jack and I get very excited every time we get a new BarkBox. We like to see what the monthly theme is and then we like to sample the treats and sniff our new toys. We sometimes take pictures with props or write fairy tales about our current box. Thanks for the barking good times!!!

My C/S rep was nice and answered my question, but I was not happy with the answer. When we started, referred friends got a free box and we received a free box. That has changed and we were not notified. I referred a friend and they did not get a free box so they did not sign up. It made me look foolish. If I would have known I would have referred them, but not told them they would get a free first box.

My Mastiff, Thor, and his pitbull sister, Brinley, anxiously await their monthly BarkBox as soon as I tell them it's been shipped. The treats are nutritious, I use some of them in my puppy training classes. Thor commandeers the toys but gradually lets his sister play with them. Most of them hold up very well, lasting for several months. For a heavy chewer like mine, this is a testament to their quality.

Great customer service. My dog is so excited to see her box arrive every month. Product quality is great. I don't have to worry about any pieces coming off the toys that may become a hazard. She has skin allergies so I love that all the snack are safe for her to eat.

One more plus - many of the toys contain toys within toys. For example - if they chew through the exterior then there is a tough chew ball underneath.

Remy and I have thoroughly enjoyed our subscription to BarkBox. When the products didn’t quite fit Remy’s wants/needs, the staff at BarkBox didn’t hesitate for a moment to help customize Remy’s box for her. If there was ever a mistake, they were already fixing it before I even noticed. Lastly, they even sent Remy a cake and party hat for her birthday that actually arrived ON her birthday! It was amazing and truly shows just how much they care about making their customers (with and without tails) happy!

I always tell people but they mostly don't like cost. If there was a fee sample box to show them. Also most my friends have 3 or four dogs so one box is not enough, I like it because even though I have a big dog l don't want to stuff home with treats. I like healthy ingredients.

My dogs absolutely love BarkBox! My older dog knows the box now and just goes nuts when it is brought in the house. We have decided to leave it out in the garage until we are ready to have him "totally distracted" for a while. His little sister stands there for anything that comes flying her way and grabs it and runs!! It is too cute!! I have to say that BarkBox is really enjoyment for the whole family as their Mom and Dad, my husband and I, love watching the dogs playing with the toys and playing tug with each other. The majority of the time they love the treats that come and I just cannot say how nice everyone at BarkBox has been.
At one point I was going to cancel because my older dog was just ripping the toys up in minutes and it wasn't worth it but they suggested we put him into the "heavy chewer" category, which has worked out great!! I cannot say enough good things about BarkBox and the people they have working for them are the best in the world!!! I would also mention, one of our UPS drivers would toot his horn when he dropped off the BarkBox and we would just laugh!!

The customer service is wonderful! Dimitri has a bad reaction to pig ears, and after I let them know not to send any more, they were so kind about it, they sent a replacement chew! They really do pay attention to my dog’s needs.

I love Bark Box and look forward to it coming each month. My dogs enjoy all of the toys and the treats are of the highest quality. The price is amazing considering how much you are getting each month. I also enjoy how each box has a theme to it. I tell everyone I know that BarkBox is the best thing I have ever done for my babies. Every time I go shopping my dogs would get a toy that they would tear up in a few days. They love their box when it comes in. The toys are made so much better. It is rare that they tear up these special toys. The themes are fun for us all. Love love love.

Our pups Belle and Taz love BarkBox. Out of all of the toys they have, the BarkBox ones are their favorite. They love the treats as well. Very rarely will Taz not like a treat flavor (he’s quite the picky dog). I have also gifted BarkBox to my parents' dogs and they said their dogs love those toys the most as well. I enjoy all of the follow up emails from the BarkBox staff. I have no complaints whatsoever. And will continue to renew my Bark subscription!!!

My dog (Noonie) and I have been monthly BarkBox subscribers since December 2016. There truly is nothing better than the reaction she has when her BarkBox comes, because she knows it’s just for her. She has loved every treat and every toy (some more than others) and it’s my best investment. The price for the quality of treats and toys is more than fair and their customer service is exceptional. BarkBox has been a staple for my puppies for about a year now. They just love the toys and treats so much! Having active dogs also means they can get bored with things easily, but BarkBox fixes that issue with new toys and treats every month. The one thing that was an issue for me was realizing that my Corgi had an allergy to lamb. At first they said they put a special note in so that we wouldn't get lamb products, but we still continued to receive treats with that protein in it. Regardless, when I explained that the problem was not taken care of, they went above and beyond to send me tons of added bones & bags of treats to make up for it!
I love the way this company does business, and they take care of their customers. They also make it easy for a new puppy owner to match the correct toys with the type of dog, and will always send something "tougher" if your dog turns into a huge chewer/shredder! It just makes it easy for me to budget and shop for my dogs -- one less errand I have to run for treats & toys! Plus getting a couple of toys, a bone, and 2 packs of treats for 20-30$ is an amazing deal. I will continue to recommend BarkBox to my friends. Thank you!

This company stands behind their products and has great customer service. I like their treats and toys, especially the squirrels. When Sadie doesn’t like something they send a replacement. I wish they would bring back the old Destroyers Club though, the new one is too difficult to manage and so I never get points anymore.

We have absolutely LOVED every single part of our BarkBox experience. When there have been any problems, we have been able to easily report them and they have been quickly resolved. Your team strives to make sure that both Odin and myself are happy with the box and everything inside. He is happy and his tail goes five-hundred miles an hour everytime a package arrives at the door. He now feels entitled to every package that comes to the house. We have to explain that isn't his box.

We love BarkBox. The customer service is amazing. Any time I have a question, they respond immediately and are so nice and helpful. Willow has food allergies, so the all natural grain free treats are perfect for her. She loves the toys, but was turning into a destroyer, so I was offered tougher toys at no additional price and they have been great. I had BarkBox for my last dog and still had some boxes already paid for when she passed. They were so accommodating and sincere. I was able to send the last few boxes to my niece. Great company, great service, great products.

I only receive a BarkBox for one dog but actually have two dogs. My older dog is an eleven year old lab. Since we have gotten the BarkBox he has become more playful. He loves the toys! When the box come both my dogs recognize it and will wait by it until I open it!

We love our BarkBox! Absaroka has a lot of allergies and it’s difficult to find snacks that are allergy friendly for her without spending an arm and a leg on them. She’s also a power chewer and the toys we can get at our local Pet store last maybe 5 minutes. We were easily spending $100 a month on treats and toys for her. It was an obvious choice when we were introduced to BarkBox that this was something we would subscribe to. Their customer service is amazing and they notify us of an issue before we even know there’s an issue. We seriously recommend them to every dog owner we know because we love BarkBox!

The service is more than great. My dog likes the items they choose even when I don’t think he will - they know dogs. Superchewer toys could be better. I just switched recently and they aren’t as fun or interesting. I can’t change back because I have a toy killer.

Everything about the box is perfect, a little pricey but whenever a toy rips too quick or isn’t up to par they quickly reply with a new toy! The treats are all natural and the dogs both love them very much! I totally recommend.

Absolutely love this company! Excellent customer service, always going above and beyond for their customers. Latte loves receiving her BarkBox each month! The toys are durable and with lots of squeakers! The treats are her favorite and the variety is great. They are better than anything I can get at the pet store or grocery store. The best part is, she can try something new and different each month and doesn't get bored with the same thing all the time!

The dog treats we receive every month are fresh and delicious!! They always make our 2 Shihtzus very happy. The toys are safe and we have never had a bad experience with any of them. The themed box are always so fun to unveil to our dogs.

When the Bark Box arrives on our doorstep my dog Sasha knows what it is. She gets so excited when I set the box on the floor for her to sniff. Then after a few minutes, we open the box and she gets her first toy. Such fun.

I contact Bark Box because my dog, Rocky, has so many of the toys that he loves but I don't have the space for that, I wanted to cancel getting the toys. I was then told we could set up the shipments so we got them quarterly. I think that is a GREAT idea so that's what I switched to.

As soon as Mom puts that cardboard box on the ground we go nuts and start scratching and sniffing it! It’s our favorite day. In our small box the toys could be a little smaller since we are between 5 and 7 pounds, but we still manage to play with them by using them as tug toys. We ruff you mom for getting us a monthly BarkBox!

I started BarkBox on a whim through a Groupon. It was too expensive initially for my taste so it was supposed to be a 3 month gift to my pups then we would be done. Honestly... I got hooked along with my dogs. I would be super excited to see the theme each month and my dogs would be super excited to receive the toys and treats obviously. After my third month they actually lowered my monthly price to keep me as a customer and I have been getting BarkBox since... almost 2 years now. They even swapped out the treats for toys (I guess my pups don't like healthy snacks) which is amazing since I have terrorizers!
I have seen the growth exponentially since they now offer their product in stores and yet the customer service has not altered any. Their customer service is top notch which is rare in this day and age. They always have great pet puns and are ready, willing, and quick to assistance in any way they can. The actual toys and treats are high quality and well worth the cost. I can honestly say that if you are a pet person... you won't be disappointed, and neither will your pups! Thanks BarkBox from my family! Including Koopa and Bowser!

I think I may enjoy getting the BarkBox more than my dog sometimes! I love seeing the silly themes and cards that come with the box. Of course, Link enjoys the chew and the treats the most. I always post photos of him enjoying the squeak toys and my friends on Facebook have also enjoyed seeing the monthly photos. I do wish we had an option, however, to pause (paws?) our subscription from time to time. Sometimes we get backlogged on toys and treats that haven't been eaten yet, and it takes a while to catch up with another box on the way. Both Link and I have absolutely enjoyed getting boxes every month. BarkBox Day is our favorite day!

We absolutely LOVE our monthly boxes. Lilmoe tears right into each box. Love the treat choices! My only thing is way too many stuffing toys, no rubber toys at all in any of our boxes. Lilmoe likes to chew on hard rubber toys and after 6 boxes we still don't have this sort of toy. Also a toy now and then we can hide his treats in would be awesome, maybe next month?

The different varieties of treats. My dog love receiving the box. The toys are nice if they are durable enough withstand my dog. Not all the toys are. We have been very pleased with our experience. I would Suggest to get better durable toys. Karma is a boxer and can chew. The plush toys don’t stand a chance.

Ariel my 4 year old Portuguese Water Dog has a 15 year old sister Kimmie. Sometimes Ariel thinks the bark box is for him because it’s got his name on it. But Kimmie knows better. They both go nuts when the UPS driver arrives — every box could be a bark box. They get toys only— no treats due to food allergies and a strict diet. The toys are a riot: so funny for humans, like no others we see in stores, and made with magic that makes my pups go wild. We are confirmed BB fans

Our dogs look forward to their monthly delivery. The toys are anticipated and there hasn't been one they haven't used. Definitely helps with a puppy that likes to chew!! Highly recommended. We use the treats as incentives which last the month until the next delivery.

I love Bark Box Day! I can smell it when they carry it in so I jump and jump until they let me have it. I work hard to open it because your tape isn’t easy to tear off! Then they let me pick out my favorite thing... easy! I love crunchy chewy things best, so I had one of the Crunchy Pork Apple chews. Delicious!!! They made me save the other chew bar for another day... darn!!! Now I need a nap before I play with the toys. I love both toys because they crackle when I grab them. And I know I will love the treats in the bags but they won’t let me have them today. Thanks for the best time Bark Box!

I’ve been getting a BarkBox for my pup since he was a few months old. He is now a year and a half. It’s his favorite day of the month when his package comes. He honestly believes anything in a brown box is his now! I’ve been thrilled with their customer service. I have truly enjoyed getting the BarkBoxes monthly. However, BarkBox signed us up for the heavier chewer 2 months ago and yet we are still not receiving those boxes. We are happy with the treats as well. Athena has loved all of the ones we have received in our boxes. We are not disappointed in BarkBox.

Buckwheat always knew which package was for him. Maybe you dog-loving folks spritz each box with a wonderful potion dogs especially enjoy. Though Buckwheat passed away peacefully next to me on May 21st, He loved every box. And, best of all, most of the toys survived his efforts to dislodge the squeaker! I have kept all the toys to share with other dogs. I plan to look for another dog companion in August. I will rejoin after I find a dog who needs me as much as I need him (her?)!

Wrangler gets so excited when his box arrives and now that he has a little sister, he loves sharing the box with her. They both enjoy the toys and really have a lot of fun with the tug toys. Wrangler likes the plain stuffed toys while Minnie likes the squeaky toys.

Doggies love the BarkBox every time, every theme is absolutely adorable. This BarkBox was the prom theme and the dogs will be wearing the bowtie and corsage. The treats are always varied and always something in there the dogs love.

We have been BarkBox lovers for about 2 years now. My dogs know when we get a BarkBox in the mail and go nuts! I love that we get TWO full sized bags of treats, that are healthy and good for my pups. The toys are great quality! When we first signed up my dogs would destroy the toys in seconds, I reached out to the customer service (who are VERY responsive) and they were able to up the "chew strength" of the toys, so now it takes them at least a day to tear through a toy. I love that every month I get the opportunity to add on an additional treat or toy to my box too! It's become a little tradition of our to get BarkBoxes for our friends when they get a new pup and they absolutely love them. I cannot praise BarkBox enough.

BarkBox has the BEST customer service of any company I have ever dealt with. They ship a monthly box with treats and toys. Then about a week after you get your box they send an email asking for a review. If you do not rate everything 5 stars they follow up and ask what was wrong. Say your pup would not eat one of the treats. They will send a replacement, same with the toys, if your dog would not play with one of them just let BarkBox know and they send something different! Plus they have the Destroyer's Club where you can get free toys just by sending in pictures of toys your dog has de-stuffed or de-squeaked, or just killed! Love the BARKBOX!

My German Shepherd goes crazy when she sees her box arrive! She opens the box herself with a little assistance and grabs her toy(s). She then runs around the house with her toy in her mouth! She will then come back to the box and grab the other toy.

Samantha likes larger toys with ears that she can chew on or toss around. Small toys she loses interest in quickly. All of the toys delivered to her have all been small and her interest doesn't last very long with those.

Katy always gets excited when she sees the box and grabs the first toy I give her. She shares with her sister who also loves the toys and tries to stash it in a secret place. Now whenever I get other deliveries Katy thinks another box has been delivered!

My dog loves his BarkBox. They are wonderfully curated from the treats, toys and even the paper they are wrapped in. The toys are well made and the treats are mostly natural which is of great importance to me. I have never felt I did not get a good value for a box.

Our dogs love getting their box. If there's ever something they don't love or something that doesn't last very long/gets torn up quickly, they replace it! Their app is easy to use and you can track your box too! Toys are good quality, treats always get eaten quickly!

My dog Shayne and I love the BarkBox. Changed our life. We look forward to each theme every month. We only had a few issues like size of toys in a LG size dog box. Which were handled very quickly. Only had to get 1 toy replaced which you barked back and sent us out a new toy. We both would like to thank you very much. You keep our tails wagging.

Love all the treats, but need durable toys for a big dog and with no fur, that she tears apart and eats. Love the BarkBoxes and so does Maggie May. She gets so excited when she gets it and knows immediately when I take it out of the mailbox that it is for her, must be the smell of all the wonderful treats!

Just received an email asking for some info regarding our service. We enjoy our bark box month - as do our dogs. It’s a small fee to pay to keep them a little happier. We enjoy the themes and even the healthy treats. The only thing I would change is the chew that gets put in. We have multiple dogs and only one chew is included. I’ve asked before to get some different treats in replace of those but was told I couldn’t do that. Other than that no complaints. Always great customer service anytime we have to reach out.

Rey loves the mail carrier! He knows that they bring his Barkbox. When it arrives, there is no peace until he has me open it. I like the USA sourced treats. Rey loves how they taste. I’d recommend this to anyone who is spoiling their dog.

We've been BarkBox customers for a long time, and our dogs love the items they get. We have a French Mastiff and a Jack Russell. Whenever we have had issues with toys the dogs didn't like, or were destroyed too quickly, they were always ready with a replacement that be received quickly. They always ask questions as to what the problem was and sent toys that were appropriate. I would recommend BarkBox to anyone who asked. We've never had a problem, always received a prompt response to emails and questions, and receive Replacements when necessary in a timely fashion.

I have 3 fur-babies, but my littlest and youngest is the one that acts like a kid on Christmas morning every time we get a box in the mail. All the dogs loved the treats, but my little man staked his claim on all the toys. They are clearly great quality products since most of the toys outlasted ones that we bought from the pet store. The treats were a hit as well. Very happy with the quality for the price and would recommend anyone that likes to spoil their fur-babies to give it a try.

This makes us so happy to hear Brandi! Those pups deserve nothing but the absolute best every single month! We would love to see any pictures if you have them of your pups enjoying those goodies! BarkBox has exceptional customer service. My Golden Retriever puppy was so excited each month to receive her box. All the toys were durable and she loved the snacks and bones. They really worked well with the proper toys and treats. Quality items. Unfortunately our puppy passed away too soon. I emailed Bark and asked them to please cancel all subscriptions even though we still had a couple of months. Not only did they respond immediately and took care of it all but they even sent a beautiful handwritten sympathy card for our loss of Lucy. They truly care for our pets. I am getting a new puppy and I will, for sure sign up for the BarkBox again. Thank you so much for having amazing customer service!

I am unhappy with your service and supposed dog inspired contents. As a trainer, breeder and owner of show dogs, I felt a need to try your product in order to offer an informed opinion to clients and associates. Wow am I ever glad I did so, not only will I not recommend your service, I will regularly use your contents to demonstrate the ridiculous products that represent the most undesirable toys available. My first box I guess was for my bigger dogs, the toys provided were totally unacceptable for any dog, let alone large dogs with a desire to chew. While cute, I would not allow any dog to play with these toys. All are covered in synthetic fuzz, every one a safety hazard. The next boxes I assumed were for my small dogs, these were even worse, not only do all treats need to be broken up for a small dog the toys are of the same size as the first ones I received. All toys were larger than my dogs, every one a choking hazard, stuffed with who knows what.
I would like to thank you for providing excellent examples of WHAT NOT TO PURCHASE AND USE FOR PETS YOU LOVE. I have training classes three days a week, with several classes each day, I now use these toys for each class of 12 to 15 clients, as NO NO ITEMS, THEY WILL NOT BE ALLOWED IN MY CLASSES OR MY KENNELS. For a company claiming to care for pets I cannot believe the carelessness with which these products are chosen, the absolute disregard for the size of the pet specified. Thank you for enlightening me to yet another hazard for the unsuspecting casual, unknowing pet owner. Your product will be used regularly as a training aide of what not to own, buy or use for the responsible pet owner.

With our monthly boxes right now they are catered to each pups size and then the theme for the month. So monthly the items will vary! With that in mind we do know that from time to time some of the items might not work for your pup which is why we do always stand by our Scouts Honor promise. This means we are happy to replace any item that doesn't work for your pup or that you don't feel okay giving them. We want nothing more than for your pup to be happy and healthy! We do also have wonderful durability options for pups who are chewers and can't have plushy toys! We do also suggest pup parent supervision with any and all of our products!

We have 6 dogs. I chose a box that fit most of them. The toys were all stuffed and had fur hair on them which my dog would choke on when he chewed on the toys. The third box we received, we gave everyone a treat out of one bag. The two smaller dogs started vomiting and had black diarrhea the next day. I rushed them to the vet. After $380 it was determined to be something they ate. The treat was the only thing in their diet that was new. I came home and found one of the other dogs got into the barkbox and ate the remainder of the bag of treats. That night she had a seizure. I immediately contacted BarkBox to cancel and after 4 tries finally got someone to actually do it. Had to use the online chat because the phone number listed is a recording telling you to use the online chat which kept dropping me. They did refund half the 6 month subscription but were shocked that their delicious treats would cause a problem.

We have 4 dogs when we first subscribed to Barkbox to give a try. Their website did not confirm my order and mistakenly pressed it again for a second order. No big deal I thought, I have 4 dogs between 45-65 lbs. The first 2 boxes came in and each had 1 rubber toy and 1 soft plush toy with squeaker. The soft one lasted about 10 minutes and the rubber toy lasted much longer but after a week my dogs were no longer interested in it. The treats...well my dogs love treats but I do not give them that many for whatever reason. I still have a stockpile of bags of treats. Don't worry, my dogs are pretty spoiled and eat quite well. We decided the boxes were not worth it as we can buy boxes of regular hard treats for cheaper and find toys that will last. We even get stuffed toys for free or very cheap at yard sales to let my dogs tear apart. The boxes were just not worth it.
When I cancelled I was pretty sure I cancelled both but just found out they have another invalid email in my account and already charged me for another 12 month commitment. I emailed to see about canceling and Taylor from Barkbox said I am in for another 12 months and even tried to upsell me for a different type of box. I could care less about their 'different kind of box' and just want to stop the subscription. Unless you have Fufu dogs who like Fufu toys and treats and you like bad customer service, I would not recommend Barkbox.

John I'm terribly sorry to hear of your first impression of BarkBox. Typically when the toys aren't durable enough we do have another level we can go up so we will try to offer this so the pups don't miss out. However if you still need assistance with canceling please let us know so we can provide you with this.

I was receiving BarkBox for my pups. Was never really impressed with their items. We were in process of moving when I received my last box, so I canceled my account. Just checked my balance at bank and it showed BarkBox charged me for another month. So I logged into BarkBox and it clearly shows my account had been cancelled! I emailed them for refund. I will never recommend BarkBox to anyone! Poor customer service. I never gave them permission to “renew” my subscription.

Our dog Dot loves the cute toys but they are soft plushy toys that she destroys in minutes, leaving white fluff everywhere. Although the description on the treat packages sound good, she hasn’t liked any of them. We now have a plethora of treats to give away. On the plus side, she loves opening the box, packaging is nicely done and it’s always delivered on time.

I'd been subscribing to BarkBox for a few months when my 18mo old pitbull pup suddenly passed away. My BarkBox had already been paid for and was in route to my home when I lost her. I was able to cancel my membership online, AND to my surprise, a few days after received a HAND WRITTEN card and envelope expressing the team's deepest condolences. It was a really difficult time, as she was my emotional support dog, but I can honestly say that receiving such a warm, non-generic response from the team brought a warm smile to my face through the flood of tears. This is an AMAZING business practice that I hope this company never loses sight of. I can purchase all the toys in the world from any business, but money can't buy a loving heart and good business practices. I applaud you BarkBox!! I am strongly considering restarting the services and gift it monthly to a friend just to show my support though I no longer have a furbaby of my own.

Awe Christian we're so terribly sorry for the sudden loss of your pup. We know how hard and tragic this can be. We hope that when your heart heals perhaps there will be room for another pup in it one day. Sending all our love and thank you for the kind words.

Dexter totally goes crazy when his box comes in the mail! The downside, he now thinks that ALL boxes that come in the mail are for him! He fidgets like a little kid while waiting for the box to be opened! Then comes the hard part... trying to decide what to play with first!

Well that's a good problem to have! :) Glad to hear it's a hit with Dexter. Give him a belly rub from us and be sure to let us know if you ever need anything.

Bella loves her BarkBox, she knows when the mailman is coming and opens it on her own :). It's always a surprise on what items were going to get and she wont even let me get the tags off the toys before she starts to play with them.

With our first order we modified to include ‘heavy chewer’ toys. First order included plush toys destroyed within 10 minutes (no exaggeration!). I messaged the team. They acknowledged the error, sent replacement. All subsequent orders included plush toys??? We’ll be cancelling.

Then an upgrade super chewer box which is very durable, rubber toys. Sounds like your pup might have been a better fit for our Super Chewer box. I'd love for you to give that a try. Lucy loves her BarkBox. She loves the toys. She gets tired and needs a nap after playing with them. They are all her favorite. She loves the treats as well. We use them for teaching her tricks. The humans like the different themes each month. We think they are really cute, and the toys are adorable. Lucy is such a happy pup!

Every month when the Box comes Suzie knows it's for her. We sit together and open it. She loves everything you have sent and I enjoy the different themes. Suzie has so many toys I had to get her a new box. The toys are better quality than most in the stores. Some say Suzie is spoiled and yes she is. Thanks BarkBox people you are great.

Remington really loves the items in the boxes, although the October box was most definitely disappointing. We were expecting more Halloween styled toys but got something that looked just like what was in previous boxes. The treats seem to be good. She eats most of them. I believe she is down as a big time chewer and Novembers toys have already had the stuffing pulled out completely!! Otherwise we do enjoy the boxes.

We'd love to hear how it's been going for Remington! Has durability still been an issue? If so we'd like to solve that for you. Please let us know if it's been a hit or if we need to do any adjustments. Hugs to Remington and be sure to let us know. :)

We love Bark Box, the art is so cute and the toys are well thought of! The only thing is my Chihuahua would have more fun if you had smaller toys. She cant play with some of them due to the size. Otherwise if I had to pay for the items separate it would be really hard for me to do so! So spoiling her this way is the best for both of us!!

My favorite thing about BarkBox is the treats. My dog will shred the toys in a matter of minutes and then bury their squeaky insides in the backyard, but the treats easily last her all month long! I haven't bought treats at the store once since I started my subscription.

Sounds like she is having fun until the last bit! Glad the toys and treats are such a hit each month!

I saw BarkBox on Facebook and knew some friends that were enrolled. I'm happy I enrolled and the boxes are fair in price. The toys are cute and my dogs liked most of the treats that he was allowed to have due to his allergies. These make a great holiday gift idea for friend's pets. It's always a fun surprise to see what they will get.

We absolutely love our monthly BarkBoxes! I do have a destroyer in my house, but honestly I don't mind him destroying every toy once he gets bored with them because there are two new toys coming soon! I also really love the toys that have more toys inside, those toys make me feel like I got more value because you can never have too many squeaky balls! The treats are a great way to find out what your dog does/does not like without spending a fortune. We have a lot of doggy friends, so it's pretty much guaranteed that ONE of the dogs will like them! Great way to learn about your new dog (especially since I adopted mine young with no history), and a great way to make doggy friends in case your dog doesn't like something he's sent.

Raya, we are SO GLAD to hear that Malibu is having so much fun with the toys each month! And we bet those other pups love you guys for sharing those treats!

I have family who gets BarkBox for their pets and I have always thought it was a really good idea, but until November of last year, I didn't have a dog of my own. When I got Miss Harley, I decided a little later on that BarkBox would be the best thing for not only her but me as well. Harley isn't trained (yet) and so taking her into a Petco or other pet specific stores makes my anxiety level go through the roof. Not to mention you spend so much more than you get! But with BarkBox, I can get so much for only $25 a month!
Harley isn't big on toys, but when she does play with one, she destroys it. So I called BarkBox's customer service. It was the BEST thing I have ever done. Not only did they replace every toy she destroyed for free, they upgraded her toys to heavy chewer toys and they let me trade in one of the two toys for a third bag of treats! Harley may not be big on toys but she sure is big on treats and we haven't gotten a bag yet that we haven't loved! If you haven't gotten BarkBox for your dog yet, you should! It's the best thing for our family!

We actually have 3 dogs, Bella, Zoey and Laci. Bella especially enjoys the stuffed toys and we have to be careful with Zoey as she will tear the squeaker out quickly if we don't watch her! Laci is not a toy dog but really enjoys the treats!

I have nothing but positives for BarkBox. Bandit has loved almost ALL toys and treats. On the rare occasion he does not like a treat, BarkBox service has sent him another free of charge right away. I love the great customer service but more importantly, I love how happy it makes Bandit. I already have recommended to a friend and will continue to recommend to all. I love that all treats are healthy and don't contain all the junk that you get in mass produced dog treats. Keep up the great work BarkBox. You have a great fan in myself and Bandit.

I got a monthly subscription for my daughter Megan's dog Mya Bear. She is a goberian. Which is 1/2 golden retriever and 1/2 siberian husky. She was a rescue at 6 months. She is a beautiful and protective dog. Since now she has 2 nonfur siblings Sophia 41/2 and Keith 1/2. I thought she deserved a monthly treat for all she does for her family and me. I called and got tougher toys in her box without any problem because she loves to chew up her toys. But she can't destroy these durable toys and she really enjoys the treats immensely. The BarkBox company has always delivered what they promised at a reasonable price.

Dee, now that's a pack!! We are so happy we were able to find something that fits Mya Bear perfectly!

I have subscribed for a little over a year. Jimmy always looks forward to his 'package' every month. I feel BarkBox is a great value, and will continue to subscribe as long as it remains a great value. There are normally 5 items in the box, and they are always of high quality. He still has many toys that are about a year old.

The dogs are always excited when the box comes. We open it together and they love to see what is new and exciting. They loved the birthday PupPie in the last box.The pie was to celebrate Zoe's 17th birthday. They all loved the pie!!

We love BarkBox! It's so fun to see the clever themes every month and our dogs love almost everything they get. We have a Great Dane and a German Shepherd, both look forward to whatever is in their box every month. In our case, the fluffy squeaky toys are the favorites. As for the treats, our Shepherd loves everything but our Dane is more picky. In all honesty though, I think us humans look forward to the box every month just as much. :)

I absolutely love BarkBox. My pug isn't very picky but we've had a lot of snacks that he just hasn't enjoyed. When he hears that cardboard open though he runs into the room and is so excited and it's great for us to have a time to play and to get treats and it's so much fun! I was even sent an extra toy as a surprise once for him and a handwritten note. It was so wonderful. Thanks for everything you do!

I appreciate the healthy treats and variety of treats in each box. Cowboy loves the squeaky toys and they provide him with good deal of play time before he destroys them. I think Bark Boxes are a good value. We have noticed the Bark toys at Target. We appreciate the fun variety.

Lollipop, she loves everything about her box. My sweet baby is blind but she still loves playing with her toys. But best of all is her treats. I like it because I don't have to go to the store and stand in line. It come in the mail. I love it.

I had a great experience with the person that helped me. I explained how much Lucky enjoyed his BarkBox except for the little dog treats. We were sent a bag of big dog treats as a follow up. I’m looking forward to seeing what’s in this month's box.

We have thoroughly enjoyed ordering from BarkBox. Our pup is so excited and knows that box when I bring it in from the mail. We ordered this so we could FaceTime my deployed son (who is co-owner of Griff) every month when it comes. It really brings us all joy to see the excitement. We love that they are themed, we have gotten a real kick out of it. Also the customer service has been top notch.

The customer service team was amazing when my dog did not like one of the toys that came in the Box. She ended up sending a replacement toy at no cost to me and my dog was so happy. The products are amazing and she loves her toys and treats. The monthly themes are cute too. I love how healthy it is for my pup!

My dog Domino loves her BarkBox. High quality snacks. Great variety. Important that food is made in America. Very creative toys. We love the themes boxes. She thinks that any box that gets delivered to the house is for her! Toys keep her very entertained.

Kona and I have enjoyed the toys and the treats that come each month. I'm comfortable knowing that the treats are healthy. He gets excited when he sees the toys each time. His collection of toys are growing along with his treats.

My dog loves BarkBox!! She is a rescue so we were reluctant to sign her up for it but so far she has loved everything, we were afraid with some of the treats but she is a monster and will eat anything you put in front of her. We love it too, it is just a great way to spend time with her. As crazy as it sounds but my boyfriend and I are such dog people that to us it seems perfectly normal!!

Katrina, you don't have to tell us twice about being dog people! We get it :) If you ever do get a treat, or even a toy, that Disney just doesn't like or can't have, reach out! We would be more than happy to replace it for you!

When I get my BarkBox I can't wait to see it. My dog Casey is a service dog in training & he LOVES the toys & chews he gets. He always is so excited. Sometimes the chews have rawhide which he can't have & I've never had a problem with them sending me a new chew without rawhide! Always want to help out & exceed my level of excellence. Leonidas LOVES his BarkBox. I have felt it was a great investment, however this last box was possibly geared for a teacup pup. My Leonidas is a Great Pyrenees and is a large puppy whom lays loving waste to any toy given to him. Otherwise, HapPy Barking here.

BarkBox is more than a gift for my dog. But my dad as well. My father is sick, so as a gift to him I got BarkBox to bless my dad by giving him the chance to give treats and gifts to his baby. Little Peanut. The joy I watch on his face as he watches Peanut run around in circles is priceless. Memories I will hold to my heart long after he's passed. My dad loves Peanut more than anything in the world. And he looks forward every month for the day to open the box for her.

My three pups love BarkBox. They have enjoyed every treat we have received so far and I am thrilled knowing they are made in the USA. The toys are clever and well made, and have taken over the top toy spot in the house. Who knew that a subscription service would be better than dear old Mom at picking toys they love. :)

Lucy loves everything in her BarkBox!!!! The only complaint I have is that the box sits at DHL in Stowe, OH for days. Why??? We are anxiously waiting for it. When it comes Lucy can't wait until it's open. She loves every toy and still plays with the ones she received months ago. Great job!!!

Our dogs are so happy each month when the BarkBox arrives. They really love the variety of toys that are in the box. As the dog owner we really like that the treats are made in the U.S A. We love BarkBox at our house.

Our dog Milo loves his BarkBox every month! The toys are durable... meaning we have a Mastiff so the toys last more than a day. We love the price! He always knows when his new BarkBox comes too. He waits patiently for us to open it. Thanks BarkBox!

I love BarkBox, it's by far the best monthly subscription I ever had. My Baby Cakes loves it and gets excited every month. Can't get enough. She always sneaks her toys and plays in secret. I love all the treats that gets put in the box and so does she, thank you for being the best.

My dogs love their box. We have the medium sized box, and the only suggestion I have would be to make the treats a little bigger because they are more like training treats. They know when their BarkBox is coming, and they go wild when the toys come out!

Duke and I love opening his monthly BarkBox. As a growing Lab I have had to change his "Chew" category a couple of times. Totally satisfied with customer service and quality of the items sent. I tend to get overly excited with the BarkBox and Duke has caught on and gets very energetic when it comes to opening his monthly box.

That's just too cute! We are so glad that this is something you and Duke can open together. We hope those chew toys are standing up to Duke's chompers :)

I ordered my go with high hopes and expectations I guess too high. I received a box. I feel the toy is too large for my mini puppy American Eskimos. I also wondered if the lamb ears and beef things were ok for a puppy to eat. I got onto the chat-well. The person tells me the chew is edible - which it is NOT. And actually disconnected the chat when I told him. That it is not edible and that was not my question I email with NO response. I email again. I only had the box for 2 days!!! I decided to just cancel. Well I finally get a response - after I cancel!!! And they can send me a tiny toy BUT only if I reactive my account. Terrible customer service!!! Disappointed???? And will let everyone know they DO NOT follow through or have good customer service at all!!!! Sooo disappointed????

Our dogs love it!!! Whenever a box is delivered they think it is theirs. I love that each delivery has a theme, and that each toy is actually 2 toys in one!!! We receive a bone treat and 2 different treat bags. I would recommend to anyone. Thank you BarkBox!

My black lab is pretty tough on your toys and within 10 minutes after opening the Barkbox, she has destroyed at least one toy. I spent good money on this subscription, so I hate having to throw toys away. I know you will replace them, but I'm of calling every month.

I love BarkBox and so does my Onyx. They always go the extra mile and I love that they provide different themed boxes of toys and treats every month. They’re a trusted source for both of those things, and I never question it. When I had a shipping issue, I contacted BarkBox and the Happy Team provided me amazing help, and an extra box with poo bags and a free poo Emoji toy because of a past survey I had done explaining.
