I purchased a Groupon, made an appointment with the merchant, who cancelled several times with me. After the third cancellation, I requested a refund. I received a message that I would get Groupon bucks and after so many days (I believe it was 90 days) I would be refunded to my original form of payment. In the meantime, I found a deal that I was interested in, purchased it with SOME of the Groupon bucks, only to find out it was a different state. I requested a refund for that as well. Apparently this is considered a Trade In at this point. I have been trying to reach Groupon to get a refund since I have not been able to find anything that would interest me. You cannot speak with anyone, it's only a "live chat" and after about 6 different agents, one finally responded consistently.

After I explained what I needed, the other 5 never responded back. I was told that I could not get any refund at all, only Groupon bucks, not even the balance from the original purchase. In addition, I purchased two online courses from their merchant Course Cloud, only to have one redeemed by the company on December 5. When looking into this, apparently several customers had the same thing happen and Groupon has failed to respond to this issue. At this point, I am so frustrated with the lack of customer service and this new "Groupon Bucks" refund instead of refunding to the original form of payment. I had even called their headquarters but you cannot even get anyone there to speak with either. I will not ever use Groupon again.

We ordered pillowcases that were supposed to be 100% satin. The tag even says they are 100% polyester. We ordered pillows that are supposed to be 100% down. They also have a tag on it stating they are 100% polyester. We ordered a extra LG jacket for our medium size dog, it might even fit a small terrier. Everything you order is coming out of China. There is nobody to get in touch contact to dispute this, to let them know that their products are false advertising. I had to go through and dispute it with my credit card company. Save yourself the headache buy elsewhere!

We saw this deal of California of Academy of Science, and went ahead and purchased it. Be aware of the “fine print” that never show up during purchase. The “fine print” only showed up when I made the purchase resulted in us unable to use the voucher! What’s worst the customer service is unsympathetic and refused to do anything. What a scam! Truly disappointed.

I made a reservation at Cove Haven Resort in PA, according to what I read on the page when it said I can cancel two days before. I tried to cancel it about twelve days before check into at the hotel. I couldn’t get in contact with customer service and I couldn’t cancel it myself. I got desperate. I placed a claim with the credit card. They did an investigation. Groupon won the case. Groupon Customer services started playing game. Made me feel like they will return the money back to my credit card. They were come around with excuses and excuses, asked me to cancel the claim, I did it, then they said I have two claim which it is not true. Conclusion Groupon is not worthy expend your with then quality of product and policy are horrible. Now I have over $400 to expend in Groupon because that’s what they give you back a credit to use with them. Groupon is horrible, horrible.

Groupon started off as a very deal savvy site, but recently it has become nothing more than a dark web site that refuses to protect its consumers from scammers. Over the years I have continued to patronize Groupon even though it has become hit or miss. I’ve bought “deals” only to end up taking gambles on whether or not the merchant was still in business, still accepting the purchased Groupon, and even providing standard quality service.

A couple of times I bought a Groupon for a beauty service to only end up receiving the service from someone’s home!!!! When I would complain to Groupon about these merchants, I was often told that I was on my own, I had to take it up with the merchant. You can guess how that went, especially when you’re dealing with a merchant who doesn’t even exist. The few times Groupon would assist me, the solution was always “Groupon bucks”, a form of merchandise credit. Instead of refunding me with my original payment method, I was forced to continue to take risks with more scamming merchants.

This last time was the final straw for me. I purchased a flat iron from a merchant, but was sent a blow dryer, a very cheap quality blow dryer at that. My initial reaction was to reach out to the merchant in hopes that this was a simple mistake that could simply be corrected. The merchant responded with “that’s all we had left in stock, if you don’t like it send it back.” He also refused to pay for return shipping. At that point I contacted Groupon. They sent the merchant an email and copied me on it saying that he was responsible for the return shipping. Obviously the merchant took this as a joke because he never responded. I continued to reach out to Groupon only to be told that I needed to work things out with the merchant myself. Ultimately, I was out of $100. That was the final straw for me. Beware when doing any type of business with Groupon!!!!

GROUPON HAS BECOME A HUGE CORPORATE SCAM. I checked out 3 courses on Groupon and was going to purchase. A notification came up to enter the code MISSYOU and 99% would be taken off the price. I did this and paid through Paypal but the circle of dread kept going round and round and as far as I know is still going. Then I tried updating my credit card and went to put through the order. Suddenly the screen changed and it was applying a 20% discount! It changed all the discount codes to 20% instead of the 99%. I tried to take out my credit card, but it didn't show up in my account. I'm sure they still have the number as they accepted it and suddenly it too disappeared. I did take a screenshot of the Paypal order still processing at 99%. You can no longer contact a human by phone.

Like all big corporations who see people as nothing more than cash cattle, Groupon execs hide from all aspects of their show from the customer now. They use speech algorithms and bots called "Live Chat" or hire one or two poor souls who can barely comprehend English and keep jumping off to 50 other calls. I also took screenshots of this disgusting waste of time. It accomplished nothing but the whole scam lost me an hour and a half of my precious time. I don't think the rep could have even been a real person, although it pretended to be. My advice is run fast and run far from this creepy scam outfit. PLUS I'm going to have to check my credit card for fraudulent charges now every month, since I have no idea where they've stored it to remove it.

Ordered Oct 11, did not receive until Nov 2 after writing to Groupon numerous times. They sent the wrong color so tried reaching out again to them {maybe 5th time} with no response. Not quite sure what is going on with Groupon but in the past ordered numerious times but there customer service has gone way downhill. The customer service number does not work it hangs up on you and when you try reaching out by e-mail they just ignore you. Will NEVER EVER order from them again and would like to warn others. BUYER BEWARE!!!

Booked when buying meal voucher to find restaurant hadn't been open for weeks according to bar in same building. Many emails to Groupon. They refuse to take down ad. Voucher is marked as used as vendor tell groupon they are open when they are not. Groupon keep taking people's money and refuse refunds when unable to redeem.

After several email exchanges with Groupon they refunded my purchase.

BEWARE... If you have a credit card associated with your Groupon account you may inadvertently BUY a product you're still reviewing. I was searching for a sightseeing cruise. I had several windows opened on my computer and hit the buy button in error. I was suddenly greeted with "purchase complete" and "all sales are final". I immediately contacted Groupon within 2 minutes and they will not cancel my order. I now have a voucher I paid $183 for that I will never use.

BEWARE... If you have a credit card associated with your Groupon account you may inadvertently BUY a product you're still reviewing. I was searching for a service while visiting Chicago. I was reviewing, thinking I was getting additional information when I was suddenly greeted with "purchase complete" and "all sales are final". Ultimately they kept my money for a service I would never use. My credit card company was unable to stop payment but reimbursed me as a courtesy. I removed my credit card from their system and do not plan to do business with them again.

Just go to Costco. Nothing was smooth about it and I never got the promotion promised. Was supposed to be a gift and it wasn't. I had to transfer it to the recipient. Was supposed to be a 40$ digital gift card emailed and was mailed a $33 gift card.

I bought a Groupon certificate on July 3, 2022 for $192.50. I have tried repeatedly to make an appointment with the merchant by calling (the calls go to voicemail) and by texting. (The texts were not viewed.) I have contacted Groupon support. After persisting, I was able to chat with a rep who asked me if I wanted another Groupon certificate or if I wanted the service I bought originally (20 units of Botox.) I said I wanted the Botox. The rep stated that she would contact the merchant and was supposed to get back to me. She never got back to me. Out of curiosity, I checked out how Groupon is doing on the stock market. It is tanking badly. It appears to my schooled eyes that they are nearing bankruptcy. Look for yourself. **

Second time I have purchased from Groupon and second time it didn't end well, would have thought I would have learnt the first time. Once they have your money they are not interested at all in what happens. First time was a spray mop that broke in the first week, refunds are not available, just groupon credit so we had a replacement.... It also broke after 2 uses & once again no refund is the policy. Second time was a voucher for ATS, went along and had the aircon regassed, it lasted less than a day and I only drove 2 miles. ATS said "it's not our problem. It worked when you left here," which it did a bit but not properly but they were closed when I picked the car up. Groupon said "sorry to hear that, have a 20% refund in groupon credit." They were not in the least bit interested in the fact that it didn't work and just said "we don't give refunds, regardless" so I'm left with no aircon service that I paid for and no refund.

Groupon's site says it pays any refunds to the original payment method, they don't, they don't give refunds and any they may offer is as groupon credit only. As for reviews, the only way to review a service from groupon is when they request that you do via email...so if you complain to them you can't leave a review on their site, hence why there as some many negatives on here but not on groupon's own site, don't buy from them as you are not covered by the normal retail laws and any problems you have no comebacks whatsoever.

I tried to contact Groupon because I had a question reference one of their Merchants that I had purchased a Groupon. First, this company do not have a contact phone number which is not good. I was give a choice to Chat and I did try to chat but no live person would chat back with me. I kept getting pre-written messages. After trying for over 5 times I got an email a week later to respond to a link. The customer service for this company is actually a minus one.

I placed my Order back in March and as of today No products (which were returned) and no refund (as promised by Ezone Technology) merchant who advise they would refund me when the products were returned. I reached out to escalate through Groupon since it is their platform. This has been the worse experience. The chat is slow and all they do is run you around in circles with no resolution. $112 may not be much to some but it is something to me and my four kids. I am not asking for more than I am owed my money or the products. I have all the supporting info emails and bank letters stating I have taking the proper steps to resolve the issue that would have never occurred if Groupon system didn't duplicate my order.

I will have to take other action and this is sad to lose a 15 year relationship over something that can simply be corrected. I will make sure to tell all my friends family and anyone I hear mention the names. Remember word of mouth is a major platform these days social media. Nothing good will come from not doing what's right. I want my money that's owed to me. If I could score less than 1 I would.

Purchased ticket was never used and I am unable use it in Jungle Fun park but Groupon changed that as redeemed even though one year validity there. No customer care, Chat is very slow, email support is waste of time. Why are they still in business. Don't waste customers' time and money. Groupon is falling down. Don't use it and save your time.

In the past month, I had two different problems… Both merchants asked for the voucher number over email and text and I reluctantly gave it. One told me that they only allowed one purchase per new client. Groupon allowed more. The second one never showed. I have emailed Groupon countless times and to date received zero reply much less any resolution. I would recommend you contact merchants directly. Groupon is too big for such horrible customer service.

Overall - I would rate Groupon's Chat and product support as a 0 on a scale of 1-10. Terrible - How is this company still in business. Please DO NOT USE THEM .. A complete waste of time. I work in the IT field and I am so surprised at the lack of customer support.. Total waste .. Never using this again.

Blue Lapis Lazuli bracelet was advertised. I purchased it. I was sent a brown bracelet. I called and was given a lot of excuses. I repurchased it a second time, I was sent the brown again instead of the blue. I spoke to 5 different people and no one can help. All the answers were “I will get back to you.” It’s about a month now and none seems to know anything. I never received the blue that was advertised. So disgusting and annoying.

I tried to use my Groupon at Steve's Pizza in Cooper City. They would not accept it, thus leaving my dinner plans ruined. I will not use Groupon again and I can see why they have such bad reviews. Waste of time, gas and money. I asked for a refund on all purchases that have not been used and they refused. Total scam.

Groupon unauthorized creation of campaigns which are at a significant loss to my business. I did not approve nor request the deal they are promoting for Mother's Day against my wishes. I have called, emailed, texted, chatted and they are not turning them off. My regular customers are finding these deals and I feel coerced into accepting them. They are causing loss to my business of at least $200 per transaction. I will discontinue my business altogether as soon as I can get them to respond. BEWARE.

I ordered this back in March along with another order before this but it's the same product. My shipping address changed somehow while I submitted my order. I never knew that, I never got an update about something being wrong or anything. So then I contacted the merchant. They basically said they don't have anything to do with that. "Contact the post office." And that's all. Wouldn't answer any of my questions or anything. I can't even get any help. If this is how Groupon vendors handle their business I honestly don't want anything part of this anymore. This is the worst customer service experience I've ever seen and I don't complain much. I NEVER RECEIVED MY PURCHASE AND WAS TOLD IT'S NOT THEIR PROBLEM. And unfortunately I ordered 2 separate orders. Wasted about 50 dollars.

I purchased a Groupon deal for the Baltic Hotel in Brooklyn and to my surprise it was a huge letdown. I purchased a deluxe queen room but upon my arrival management did not tell me that I was being given a queen room. This is after phoning the hotel a few days before my stay to confirm and it was not told to me that the hotel was overbooked and I would be getting a queen room. I wish I could say that that was the least of my problems however when entering the room and discovering that it was a queen room I also noticed the bathroom did not have toilet paper and only two small towels. And don’t even get me started on the shower which was what you would describe trickling water, not enough to actually shower properly.

I checked in April 2 and checked out on the 3, and the two Latina employees documented all of my issues and stated I would get contacted by management on Monday, April 4th but to my surprise the Baltic management did not contact me instead I had to contact the hotel multiple times before a manager stated that since my purchase was through a 3rd party which was Groupon they would have to handle a refund or compensation.

Fair warning, this is a scam both Groupon and the Baltic Hotel blame each other and don’t take ownership for not providing a paying customer with what they paid for, the least they could do is provide a partial refund for getting the wrong room. Yet after two weeks I have given Groupon and the Baltic Hotel to rectify the situation, but it is now April 21st and no contact from either the Baltic or Groupon. Fair warning to all this is a scam by both companies to steal your money and ignore your complaints. It is shocking how this is still allowed to happen but I will say if I was a ** male I’m pretty sure this will not be taking this amount of time but because I’m a minority male it doesn’t matter my opinion doesn’t matter! Avoid selecting the Baltic hotel, I promise, your Brooklyn experience will be ruined. I am still waiting for this to be addressed until then I will share my horrible experience.

I used Groupon to order a pizza from Papa John's. The money was immediately deducted from my bank account, yet, the pizza was never delivered. I tried to find a customer service number but had no luck - I was forced to share my complaint via instant messaging. The first time, I asked for an actual contact number. They gave me a random Papa John's number who had no clue of my order. I tried a second time, and they were no better than the first rep I IM'd with. I can't help but wonder why they refuse to provide customers with the number to corporate. DO NOT provide any personal information, Groupon is a scam!

I purchased a Groupon for a personal service on Sep 27, 2021 for $248. I tried to schedule an appointment for several weeks but they would never answer the phone and voicemail was not accessible. I tried again in a few weeks with an online portal. Again, no success. Then I had health problems and was unable to use the service for a few months. The expiration was 03/26/2022 so I knew I had time.

In the middle of March, I went on the Groupon site to finally redeem the voucher and saw that it said I had redeemed it on January 14, a day that I was in the hospital! I contacted customer service 4 times about it and finally got this response: "This merchant has replied us that he redeemed the voucher as as it was expiring and requested you to go to the scheduling site and use this voucher." First of all, it was not near expiration. More importantly, is this even legal??? Why would Groupon allow this??? I was outraged! I asked for a refund as I do not wish to deal with such a shady business but have yet to get a reply. I also will think twice about purchasing another Groupon, especially for a service like this.

I recently received a gift card for $100. I applied that gift card to a purchase that totaled $103.18, paying for the $3.18 difference with a credit card. Once I hit submit, my credit card was charged the full amount ($103.18) and the gift card credit still shows up on my account. Groupon says they cannot apply the gift card to a "previous" purchase, even though the error was on their end. They say I can use the gift card on a future purchase, but why wouldn't they do the same thing next time and charge me the full price and never apply the gift card? I'm not falling for that again!! Please do not use this company and do not purchase gift cards from their website. They will not honor them.

Insane rip-off. What on earth these people are thinking is beyond me. I have WASTED hundreds of dollars, only to find the service is cheaper if purchased directly. It is simply revolting that this company operates as a “discounted” vehicle. Lord save us all from such scammers and the companies that promote their savory businesses with them. Disgusting.

I requested consideration to refund my Groupon tickets to a theme park. The person on the chat line refused to allow me to escalate the request as I wanted to discuss it with someone who has higher authority. Shortly after I was told to private message Groupon about my situation. I did, and shortly after that I was told the fine print says no refunds. NO KIDDING - that's why I wanted to escalate to someone that has higher authority and consider some extenuating circumstances. Also since yesterday, I have received two emails from the chat line representative promoting Groupon and how good it is - really! This is "Rubbing salt in the wound".

The final blow is I was looking to give the tickets to someone but the fine print says it's not transferrable. It amazes me they will not consider anything to soften the blow, especially considering they have not have to spend any money to facilitate my tickets. If not a refund, a credit, dates extension, etc... would show consideration and commitment to their customers. TREAD SOFTLY WITH GROUPON, NOT VERY FLEXIBLE WITH CUSTOMERS!
