I signed up for a three month program, and they started billing my account immediately! They are still billing my account six months later. I called today to solve the problem, but they still would not reverse charges, not even for this month. Even though I called, I just got another bill. Danna would not allow me to speak to a team lead and would not reverse this month’s charges. Do not do business with these people. They kept me on the phone for thirty minutes with no resolution.

When I signed up for Weight Watchers, I signed up for a 3-month promotion that was going on. The very day that the 3 months ended, they withdrew money out of my account for a new month. I immediately called them requesting they cancel my account and refund me my money. They told me they could not refund me my money. I just want other people interested in signing up to be aware that once that 3 months end, they suck it to you and refuse to refund you your money. Read the fine print no matter how tiny it is. You'd be better off to Google the points list and count the points yourself at home and not pay a monthly fee.

I will never sign up for anything with Weight Watchers again, ever. Waste of money. If you want to lose weight, count your calories and exercise. Weight Watchers was very rude to me when I requested my money back. They are sweet as honey when they are trying to get you to sign up, but ask for your money back and see how they act. They withdrew money out of my bank account that I was not expecting and caused my bank account to have a domino effect of bouncing checks. Each company I had a check bounced to charge a service fee as well as my bank. This cost me a lot of money. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. They are definitely not interested in making the customer happy. They only care about the money.

I started online 3 weeks ago. Personally, I have not had a challenge with the program but wanted a points plus calculator so that I knew what the points were when I was at the store. To say that it was a negative experience does not cover it. When I went in, they told me that I did not pay to have the privilege to buy products from them. Weight Watchers online is a completely different company than Weight Watchers meetings. They would sell nothing to me. The only option I had was to pay for a meeting (which was already over and join up) and then they would sell me a calculator.

I have contacted the complaint lines and received no satisfaction from them. They feel that this is fair behavior and stand behind their guidelines as they get no money from me as my money goes to the online people. All I can say is congratulations. Over a $10 calculator, you have ensured that I will never recommend going to a meeting in Huntsville and you have destroyed the Weight Watchers name as far as I am concerned. Was it really worth it? I am in the customer service industry and know the value of a negative interaction and how far it can spread. With the internet, it spreads further and quicker than ever before.

I signed up for a 3-month plan also and after looking at the website, I asked to cancel. It's a very poorly designed site and had me totally confused. I am not a neophyte at computers and have been using them for more than 25 years, so I was shocked that I couldn't figure it out. I gave up after about 20 minutes and asked for refund. Of the $56.85, I will get $7.85. I understand (though don't like) that the sign-up fee was non-refundable, though now I think of it, this was supposed to be a "free" offer. But why I had to pay over $18 for a monthly fee when my month didn't even last 30 minutes is beyond me. I guess this is why the company founders are millionaires!

I signed up what they call Free Sign Up. I saw that it was also too difficult to navigate and it looked like any other diet where you just cut the calories as it was too hard to understand. I called and canceled and received an email saying there was no refund. I only had it for maybe 2 hrs but did not look at it for more than 30 min. They refuse to give a refund so this is a scam with the free sign up. I, too, think there is a law that a person has 24 hrs to cancel. We all need to pursue this scam and find a lawyer to do a group lawsuit. I do not think Weight Watchers does want the publicity.

I decided to pay every week rather than the monthly plan. It is cheaper to pay weekly than to sign up for the monthly plan. According to someone at their corporate office, because I have chosen to pay weekly, I cannot use their online tools. It doesn't seem like a good policy to punish those folks who want to pay weekly.

I was checking my mail on Hotmail.com, and there was this mail from Weight Watchers. I opened it. It said it was free signup and three months. I’m not sure about the amount, but they charged my card $56.85. I opened the program up and realized it was too difficult. I tried all afternoon and then I said forget it. I called them the next morning (less than 24 hours) to ask for my money back. I said that I wasn't happy with the program and it’s too hard for me. They refused and said there would be no refund. I thought there was some kind of protection law for the consumer. Can someone please let me know? I live in the state of Connecticut.

I immediately wrote WW and cancelled within a matter of 10 minutes. I paid $57 and will get a refund of $7.95! Everyone knows this is not right. When the consumer is unable to get a food value point listing which is needed for calculating their daily intake, it's a scam.

Seven weeks ago, I signed up for a monthly pass with WW. I am a lifetime member and as such, my membership provided me with free access to e-tools. On November 15, I received the following email: "Dear Valued Member, Recently, you were sent an email from Weight Watchers Canada sharing future meeting room price change information with you. Please note that the price for the Pay As You Go option was listed incorrectly. It should have stated a weekly fee of $16.49* + $25 registration fee to join. Thank you! - Weight Watchers Canada"

To begin with, I never got the first email. I called WW and was told by the rep who answered the phone that this was sent to all members, and "if this didn't apply to me, I should just disregard it!" Why on earth would you send such an email to your monthly pass subscribers? To say that I am underwhelmed by their public relations and management style would be an understatement. I find this distressing since the program works for me and my group and its leader are wonderful. But I am sorely unimpressed with the management.

My wife wanted to try their new web service, all the tracking and food information, etc. The charge was something like $59 introductory for three months, then $18.95 a month thereafter. She tried the service and after few weeks, she was just so frustrated with the interface that she stopped using it. They offer tech help if you need it, but she didn't want to. I did not know all of this until in August, I received an email stating that there was a pending PayPal payment, so I quickly tried to stop it, but it went through anyway. So, I logged in to the Weight Watchers account (henceforth referred to as WW) and followed the steps to cancel the account. I thought everything was fine, I was going to call and get a refund, but never got around to it.

In September, I got the same email, PayPal paid them again! I again went to the website, nothing looked like it was cancelled and I thought maybe I did something wrong last month. So, I went through the process again. I am an IT professional. I am always starting and stopping services, some pay and some free and I know what I am doing. Sure enough, I got the "successful cancellation" screen. I never contacted them and just let it go. Then in October (tired of this aren't we?), I got another email from PayPal that said they charged the account again!

I contacted customer service and after a long back and forth, they said that they had no record of cancellation (duh!) and the most they would refund would be $18.95 because that is all they are authorized to refund. I had asked for all three months at this point, I was furious and told them that I will follow this up as long as it takes. I know I am not the only one who is being treated like this and it is a big money maker for them if it is nearly impossible to cancel their service.

The email correspondence from the beginning clearly shows that the CSRs are not even reading what I am telling them. They can check the logins and see that the times that I logged in correspond to what I am telling them, even if they don't have a confirmed cancellation in their system, but they did not want to provide customer service, only protect the company’s assets, ill-gotten as they were. I have email correspondence in word and PDF form if it is needed or I can forward it.

I hope someone starts a lawsuit, because if so, I'm in! I signed up for WW in January of 2011 for the three-month deal. I also did not know they had apparent "fine print" that said they would keep charging after three months. About 9 months later, I realized this (I admit, I don't check through my transaction history too often on my one credit card - lesson learned) and proceeded to call WW. I had to fight for them to remove 6 months of the prior withdrawals - still leaving me to pay the remaining months that I didn't realize I was being charged. "Fine, whatever, I'll chalk it up to my own negligence," I thought. But, from then on, I assumed they had done what they said they would - cancel the account and refund my account for 6 months. Stupid me never checked again until now - almost 9 months after the initial cancellation call at the beginning of 2012.

I happen to glance at my credit card transactions and I about flipped out when I saw WW was still taking $17.95 out every month. I could not fathom how I went through an entire phone call with them, remember getting a confirmation number (which stupidly, don't know if I'll ever find), yet they never canceled it. Better yet, when I called them yesterday, they have "no" record on my account of me calling or cancelling... nothing. Alright - how is this possible? Do I need to get my phone bill out to prove I called them? Then I again had to fight for 6 months back. This would be all fine and dandy if I had gotten the previous 6 months back when I thought they had canceled it the first time. Now, all I've got is 6 months refunded and I guess I get to cry over the almost year of $17.95 charges they've ripped me out of.

They claim they can only go 6 months back. I don't, this is possible for legal purposes. I'm thinking about calling back and getting a little more demanding. In the meantime, I'm going to try to find a paper trail. What a joke! I hope this company gets socked with a few million dollar suit to pay back the money they have stolen from people. Never again.

I tried earlier this morning to join Weight Watchers Online. The site stated that my credit card was not approved for unknown reasons. Yet my bank account is debited six times for the transaction! My bank told me that I simply needed Weight Watchers to send a fax stating that the charges were in error. I was lied to by a CS agent who told me that she'd faxed it over to my bank and had received a confirmation. My bank never received the statement. When I called WW back, the CS manager, who was tragically inarticulate, told me that those statements are not faxed from that office to the bank, that they were faxed to the WW corporate office and the corporate office would contact my bank after 2 days. What the **?! I need my money back right now and I will seek legal representation. Looking through these posts, it appears that mine is not an isolated case by far. I never received any email messages or phone messages from support. I called to cancel my subscription and was told that their policy is to not give refunds, and since I was into my 2nd month, they would refund the 3rd month as a courtesy. I have never been able to use the system on my computer! The manager of customer support told me they had called me several times and sent me an email, but apparently, nobody left a message with a number to call back, and I never received email from Weight Watchers except for sales pitches. I paid for 3 months' online use. I do not remember any statement about automatically charging my account if I did not wish to renew, although the representative said it was there. I was billed for 2 months after my initial payment for three months. WW billed at least 1 week prior to the first day of the month. When I studied my statement and realized I was being automatically billed, I called a rep to complain. The rep indicated they are allowed to remove one month’s billing (this apparently happens a great deal), but refused to remove the other month. My experience resembles that of Cindie of Locust Valley, NY on 2/23/11. I paid for a 3-month program for my son as an application on iPhone. He tried it for a week and thought it was useless. Since it was my money, he didn't bother trying to get a refund (which, based on other chat, wouldn't have been a lot anyway). I was shocked to see a monthly charge for 4/14/12 on my charge statement generated on 5/10. I called Weight Watchers on 5/13 and told them same story that I hadn't used it and wanted the 4/14 charge credited and future charges stopped. I understood that would happen.

The credit showed up on 5/16, but so did another charge on 5/14. Weight Watchers' customer service insisted that the terms of engagement were clearly and boldly disclosed and that the only thing they could credit for was future charges and there's no refund for "past" charges. I then escalated it to a supervisor, and it was very clear they weren't going to do anything. I also share the sentiment that the process is misleading and deceptive. However, I am not sure if there are enough $18.95 unknowingly authorized charges nationwide to support a class action lawsuit. The credit card companies have got better things to do than dispute this questionable conduct of business.

Billing practices of Weight Watchers: I joined WW online for what was supposed to be a 3-month subscription and later discovered that $18.95/month had been automatically withdrawn from my bank account for 2 more months. Thereafter, I called customer service and they were willing to reimburse me for 1 month's charge and I was told that I was supposed to send in a cancel request at the end of the 3-month period. This is a hoax to swindle people out of their money in hopes that the consumer will not go through the trouble of bringing legal action to fight it. It would be interesting to know how often a consumer was unaware that this would happen and how much money WW brings in from such unethical practices. The economy is just too bad to be playing around with other people's money like that.

After almost two years of asking, workers compensation finally has allowed me to attend Weight Watchers. Since exercise has been extremely limited, I have gained too much weight. The opportunity to join Weight Watchers was a light at the end of the tunnel. When I received my letter and information package from Weight Watchers, it included 26 weeks of prepaid coupons. These are to be turned in each week at the meetings. Then comes the glitch, no e-tools. So now I have an opportunity to help myself, but not all the tools to work with. I was told by the Weight Watchers W/C office that I could sign up online, pay for it myself and then ask W/C to reimburse me. Funny! W/C is already a battle. I would have to contact my attorney to contact W/C to get approval for them to reimburse me and one month later, I might have an answer.

So I ask you, why, if Weight Watchers has been prepaid for 6 months of service (26 weekly meetings), why isn't e-tools included? It's advertised that way. Why wasn't it included in the cost billed to W/C? This system needs to be seriously reevaluated. Bottom line, you have people who are overweight, injured and already frustrated, so let's make this even harder and only give them half the services they need to be successful. I went online to join weight watchers. I signed up for the three month for $56.56. Well, after getting on the website. It was very confusing and not user friendly, so I cancelled within a couple of hours and my credit card is still showing a hold for the amount and it says not refund because term up 5/23/12. Today is 2/24/12, so how can they still charge for 3 months and I cancelled within 3 hours. This is a rip off and I'm not happy. I would like to just go to the meetings.

I spent a day on the website which was incredibly time-consuming and still couldn't find a good explanation or overview of their point system nor sample meals to follow.

I emailed them that day about canceling and if I could receive a refund. I never heard back. I tried to call them today, and their 800 number posted is a non-working number. I went to cancel online and was informed I was already canceled. How many people are they ripping off with this program?

I signed up for a 3-month subscription online, and I paid by credit card. Recently, I received an email from weight watchers that their attempt to charge my credit card for January was unsuccessful. Upon checking my credit card statement, I noticed I had been charged every month after my 3-month subscription. I emailed customer service and asked them about this, and I also asked for a phone number to talk to the responsible person. They did not give me a phone number, but they responded to my email.

It was included in the subscription agreement (hidden in a middle of a long page) that "your subscription will be automatically renewed unless you cancel." Please tell me how a 3-month subscription does not end unless you take action and ask for a longer subscription? Shouldn't they ask you if you want your subscription be renewed? It should be an option for customers to choose what they want to do with their subscription. I did not see this in the subscription agreement, and my credit card was charged for 5 months without my knowledge.

My name is Joanne **. I am 53 years old and work as a fitness instructor and beauty therapist. I started Weight Watchers in October 2011 for two reasons, the first was to lose a stone in weight, as even though I am reasonably fit, I was still carrying extra weight and have done all my life. The second reason was that all the ladies that come to my classes and to the Leisure Centre that I work in are constantly talking about weight loss and food and asking my advice. Therefore, I felt the need to become more aware of weight loss groups such as Weight watchers.

Since I started, I have lost 10 lbs and am absolutely over the moon with the results and the plan and am constantly talking about it to my classes, as they all have noticed my weight loss. I have been doing WW on line via the UK since Christmas, as the only class near me, is at the same time as a class I take.

After a morning of constantly talking about weight and food at work, I rang Weight Watchers Ireland to inquire about becoming a leader. I spoke to Theresa at WW Ireland. I was very fired up and enthusiastic. So imagine my total disappointment, when Therese told me that, as I hadn't lost all my weight through WW Ireland that it didn't count! I was angry, hurt, disappointed and a host of other emotions as I have become a true fan of Weight Watchers and truly believed I could become a good leader and help others in their quest to lose weight.

Your web site just asks if you have reached goal. It doesn't say anything about how or who with, though obviously it has to be a Weight Watchers group somewhere. Therese was so negative I was shocked at how someone like myself, who has plenty of experience of working with groups and has the potential to be a good leader and help a lot of people, in their quest to lose weight has been dismissed so negatively.

Much to my surprise I was told that I was not welcome to attend meetings there because I had not paid to join their Weight Watchers. I needed to call corporate and have it straighten out since I was not an Arizona member. So I called. Sure enough, you must let us reverse your charge and let us charge you the appropriate amount. I emailed for help but didn't receive a response inside of the cancellation period. I went in today to weigh and hoping to get help in figuring out the plan. The weigh in lady was so extremely rude before I said I needed help and that I didn't ask. I called the 800 number from the parking lot and found out that I needed various other tools to understand and use the program.

She said I'm not in the system but if I actually had purchased a plan (she didn't want my member number), the $194 entitled me to attend the meetings and weigh in only. She offered to sell me an online membership so I could learn about and how to follow the plan! I never would have paid $194 up front if I'd known that didn't include telling me how to use the plan or even what else I need to do so.

I lost $194. I'm stuck with this "membership" and no one at Weight Watchers will tell me how the plan works or what I need to use it.

I have been trying to get a part-time position (receptionist or leader) at Weight Watchers for over a year now, which is how long I have been at the WW goal weight, not the doctor's. Our At-Work instructor keeps telling our group that they need leaders in this area and that the district manager and one other person is driving 70 miles one way 2-3 times a week to hold meetings here because they do not have enough leaders to cover this area.

I have worked at the same university for 34 years with excellent evaluations and reviews each and every year, so I must be somewhat of a good worker. Saying that, a friend of mine that was not at her goal weight (around the same time I had first applied) was asked if she would be interested in becoming a leader by the district manager in our area. She was not interested and has now gained all of her weight back. I do think that if WW has someone that is committed to this program and feels that they can help other people reach their goal weight, they should at least give that person a try. This experience has put questions in my mind about WW fair hiring practices.

Do they really need these tactics to make money? Maybe the plan doesn't work for the majority and that's why they use this method to scam people. Are there enough people for a class-action lawsuit? I received an email on 9/20 stating after several attempts to charge my card they cancelled my account due to lack of payment. Why is it, if on average you are supposedly saving more by paying by the month, am I charged 9 days prior to my last payment? On the Internet Weight Watchers Online advertised a waiver of the $29.95 signup fee if one signed up for a 3-month Weight Watchers Online subscription by the deadline of August 6, 2011. I went online in the evening of Aug. 6th and signed up for the deal, giving my credit card to pay for the 3-month subscription. When I then sought that evening to log into the WWO Web site to begin working with the program, I was not allowed into the site. I discovered that the log-on page to which I was being automatically directed to was actually a log-on to WWO via Facebook! I found a regular WWO log-on page and tried again, still without success to log on. I then located contact information on the Web site (available to anyone) and, without ever logging on, I sent an email message alerting WWO with the problem.

Next morning, I tried again to log in at the regular log-on page, still without success. In my email were (1) an automated acknowledgement of my email complaint and (2) a personalized note from "Daisy" in customer service in New York, NY. I was told their database had no record of me and was asked for confirming information to identify my registration materials. There was, fortunately, no request for entire credit card numbers or for any other inappropriate identifying information. Still, by this time, I had gone online and googled "weight watchers online complaints," where I found this Web site, with many complaints, and several others with similar complaints, including some that were very much like mine - unable to log in after signing up.

I called my bank and was advised in very strong terms to protect my credit security by canceling my card. My bank is a major nationwide bank, and when I spoke to the regular customer service person and mentioned my concern was regarding Weight Watchers, she immediately said she would forward me to their Fraud Department. I spoke with two different people there, describing the complaints I was looking at online, and they both reported that they often had to deal with bank customers who were having trouble with Weight Watchers that echoed the trouble reported in the online complaints I was seeing.

I canceled my card before WeightWatchers tried to charge any fees. However, I did so after hearing the bank's Fraud Department employees confirm that they had dealt with many instances of bank customers having no luck getting refunds after cancelling or of customers trying to cancel (and thinking they had cancelled), but still getting charged month after month with no ability to recover their money. The only way to stop the charges was to cancel.

I feel this date is ambiguous because I would think that since I opened my acct. on 6/25/00, my acct. would not close until the end of the day on 11/24/09 since I paid the monthly fee of $39.95. But instead, my acct. and ability to use my online tools actually turned off on 11/23/09, I am assuming at midnight, because I was unable to access my tools in the early morning hours of 11/24/09. This is stealing one day of paid services from the consumer. I also asked twice for a contact phone number so I can address this issue via the phone, but the online customer service rep, "Tareq", said that I would have to continue online. I again rephrased my question to have it be addressed, but now I am being ignored by the rep altogether. He/She did not answer the question I presented and only said, "thank you," for using WW.

I feel the ability to cancel WW is made extremely difficult on purpose. They processed the fee from my acct. so far ahead of time that in order to keep things simple on my end. I felt I had to just pay the extra month, which is quite a bit of money when you are not using the program. My fee was $39.95/month. And yes, this is a lot of money and it should be illegal to make people pay either in their personal time and hassle or hard-earned cash. I made the choice to pay the extra month, because I did not have time to go through the hoops and had a gut feeling that this company, which used to be a good company, would make it as hard as possible to quit my acct. Just looking into what others have written about trying to cancel proves that. That's two memberships fees of $186.00 = $372.00 + $30 returned check fee = $402.00 and if I subtract the $91.00 they refunded that leaves $311.00. To me that is a whole lot of money for a program I didn't even attend half of, or my aunt. I'm very disappointed in Weight Watchers and I have joined several times and never had this problem, I will never ever join their program again and I plan on complaining on every website I can, and tell everyone I know about this because it's just not fair for them to not refund a consumer for a program they are no longer attend. Very Very Upset Consumer!

I signed up with WW specifically because of the eTools and online tracking program they have. After only 2 weeks into the start of this program, the web site has become inaccessible: I can not use the eTools I signed up for. And the web site is very confusing. There is no number provided to call for customer service.

I signed up for the online version of weight watchers today. The web pages took a very long time to load (over a minute in some cases) which made it very time consuming to deal with. After about 3 hours, I decided that I didn't have time to deal with this. I had signed up for a 3-month subscription for $65. I canceled (by email since there are NO PHONE NUMBERS LISTED ON THE SITE!!) I asked for a full refund since I received no value from them, only frustration.
I received a response that I would only receive $18.10 back because there was a $29.95 sign-up fee (and signup is automated so I am sure they could waive that) and charged me for the entire first month which was $16.95.

I am the Director of a Non Profit that offers life and living skills supports for adults with disabilities. We, as an agency, signed up with Weight Watchers local group to improve our client's health and to increase our client's education on nutrition. Our local representative instructed me to sign up for the online tools and explained that it would request a credit card for verification purposes only.
That was in Jan 08 and our contract with weight watcher ended in May 08. We are still being billed the $12.95 monthly subscription (which was supposed to be a part of our 'one time fee' and we cannot get weight watchers to stop billing or refund our money. I hope to spread the word about weight watchers unethical and inappropriate billing tactics with their 'online services'. We love our local representative (she won our Volunteer of the Year award this yr) but we will never use weight watchers again. Weight Watcher's lost a valuable client and gained a strong and vocal critic when they treated our agency and clients with this disrespect! Shame on weight watchers!! Penelope Jordan

My wife signed up with the on-line program and agreed to pay $12.95 per month for the on-line service. After a while, she decided not to continue with the program and we cancelled. The date was October 28th, 2006 with a cancellation confirmation code of 16951815. However, since then, weightwatchers.com have been charging us $12.95 per month, despite numerous attempts to get them to stop. Even our credit card company has disputed the charges, got a refund for 2 months and they still charged us in October 2008. There is no phone number to call them, only an e-mail address. This is a scam and should be dealt with harshly.

I purchased several Smart Ones Weight Watcher Frozen meals for my lunch at work. I microwaved the Chicken Piccata. Upon opening the Chicken Piccata with Wild Rice to stir it and place it back in the microwave, I noticed a large curled fly larvae (maggot) lying on top of the rice. I immediately lost my appetite, and called my local health department who then told me to call the Department of Agriculture because the meal had chicken. It will be three weeks on Friday, and I still have not heard from them. The dinner is still in the freezer at work. I called the Heinz company wherein, they apologized. A few days later, I received a formal letter of apology and coupons. That is a royal slap in the face. I cannot bring myself to eat packaged foods. As a matter of fact, I have not eaten any form of meat since that day. On the day I discovered the maggot, my co-workers took the frozen dinner out of the freezer and stirred it....and discovered more maggots. I am physically ill just thinking about it. How in the world, can a company be nonchalant about its products and not give two squirts about its consumers?

I have about twenty dollars worth of frozen meals I have thrown out at home because of this!

I love most things about weight watchers, the only thing I have a pet peeve about is the short expiry date on their pre-paid coupons. I bought some coupons, about 3 months worth, in the spring of this year. I missed a few months and then when I returned in the fall I found out my coupons expire on Dec 31, 1007. I find it strange that the expiry date would be less than a year. I paid and now I am losing about $100.

You know that they know that most people don't stick to the program every week. In a way its a way for them to make more money.

I'm sure others have had this problem.

When I went to Weight Watchers on Thursday, June 8th to be weighed in, Linda, the Meeting Leader for Thursday, 12:15pm, looked at the scale at my weight and said NOT PRETTY then she proceeded to tell me that I could skip 2 more meetings. The tone of her voice was like she was trying to shame me, instead of trying to help me get back on track and encourage me.

I will never go back to Weight Watchers. If it was easy for me to lose weight and maintain I wouldn't have needed to go to Weight Watchers. They are supposed to encourage and support people to lose weight and maintain a healthy weight, not shame and discourage them. I lost my job, I don't have the money to go to another weight control company. Since the encounter with Linda, I have been using food for comfort and gaining more weight.

I have two experiences that were not favorable for the Weight Watchers Team. My first meeting about 1 month ago was with Lauren at the Forest Hills location. This was the last meeting one could attend at the $9.95 special. The entire meeting time was very disruptive, and at no time did the Instructor stop to gain control. I find this to be very upsetting and unfair for those who have paid and came to learn this program. Constant talking and interuption during the meeting-discussions going on that did not pertain to the purpose we were all there. I had to shhhing people, at one point I asked Lauren who was the instructor here because everytime I asked a question someone else buted in and answered and as stated before she did not put a stop to this. This meeting was a waste of my MONEY.

I called and reported this to the 800 number they provide and NO one got back to me as promised, it wasn't until I called again and raised a stink did I get a return phone call and a complimentary meeting offered to me, only this time I changed venue and went to the Woodside location held only on Saturdays. This class had just started when I walked in and there was a long line of people waiting in the back to be weighed in. They also were very disruptive but for a shorter period than the first group described above. I again had to do the shhing. The line was long so I asked the cashier if I can see her at the end of the meeting so I wouldn't miss what was being said, she agreed with no problem. At the end of the class I went up to her and explained that I was granted a complimentary meeting gave her names and offered for her to hear the voicemail message as proof. She said she did not need to hear it. I also asked her if I would be getting an activity chart this week as this was my third week on Weight Watchers but my second meeting and I heard one gets the activity chart by the third week.

Out of know where the BIG MOUTH instructor comes as if anyone is talking to her and as if she doesn't have a beginners class to attend to/teach to get into my business and question me about my card, she wants to see it, she told me that we don't give you the whole cat kit and kabuddle, very loud and out of place, making it appear as though I was trying to get over. I was embarrassed and disgusted not to mention appauled by her behavior. It's people like her that give a business a BAD name and make you NOT want to ever return again. she was rude and unprofessional, out of order. Instead of her getting silence while she was instructing she ignored THAT, but so fit to invade my privacy and make my business PUBLIC! This is poor customer service and representation and I wish to lodge a formal complaint! I WANT THIS REPORTED AND INVESTIGATED. INSTRUCTORS SUCH AS THOSE MENTIONED ABOVE SHOULD BE EXPOSED.

I signed up in June/July of 2002 and was given the option of renewing on a monthly basis after 3 months at the rate of $14.95. I cancelled this account in August but am still getting charged $14.95 a month. I moved in August and received a new expiration date on my debit card used for this subscription but they somehow managed to get these payments authorized, never notifying me that there was even a problem with the expiration date.

They have taken $60 - $80 that they are not entitled to out of my account. The last payment taken just two nights ago. I am sending through another cancellation request today.

On 1/17/02 I saw a segment on TV about weight loss (I believe Channel 2) and found out that Weight Watchers had a website. On 1/18/02 I decided to try it. I was stupid enough to subscribe via e-mail and gave my credit card number to be invoiced for 44.95 (I believe that is the amount).

After browsing through, I found out I did not want to do this and in a matter of about 10 minutes I asked them to cancel my subscription and credit my account. On Monday, 1/21/02 @3:48 PM I received an e-mail telling me that my account has been cancelled. On 1/22/02 I received a return e-mail from Jon T that I am not eligible for a refund at this time and my account will expire at the end of the paid term on 2/17/02.

This week I received my credit card statement and was billed for this as of 1/18/01.

I sent an answer to Weight Watchers and never heard another answer from them. This is a poor way to do business, I was basically forced to take a month's subscription that I did not want and to make it worse, after they told me that my account was in effect until 2/17/02 I tried to access it to see and I couldn't even get into it....I have not been on this site since 1/18/01.

I think someone should investigate this.

This may seem trivial, complaining about $44.00 but I feel that WW should be questioned about their policies.
