I have been back only a month (I am a previous member). I am happy with the program. I have been tracking online on your actual website, not my phone app. I find that easier. I am looking forward to the changes I hear are coming!

I have enjoyed my experience with Weight Watchers so far! Everyone online and at the meetings are so encouraging. There are a few things I’d like to see in the future. First, some allergy friendly snack from Weight Watchers. I am allergic to dairy products (milk, butter, cheese, etc), and I wanted some of the snack bars but they contain dairy. Also, it would be cool if the WW app could give you suggestions for exercise based on your goals. Sometimes I don’t know what to do to get my fit points. I would totally recommend to a friend!!

I love Weight Watchers and going to my local meeting site. BUT I am not a fan of how expensive the pricing is and how inconsistent the app is. You offer some fantastic deals to "new" customers but never offer anything to current customers. That is disappointing and makes me feel unimportant. Would love the opportunity to pay for 3 or 6 months at a time for a discounted price, just like new members.

Ignorance is not bliss and I had developed bad eating habits over a lifetime of enjoying chips and dip and crackers with cheese. Since I've joined Weight Watchers, nearly 4 weeks ago, I have lost over 6 pounds on the Simply Filling plan and have learned that a diet high in fiber -- whole wheat grains, fruits and veggies, lean proteins -- not only keeps me full but is the way to lose weight responsibly and develop healthier eating habits. Weight Watchers is a winner with me today!

I love WW, I was actually a lifetime member but unfortunately I gained weight back and now I am back on track. Life happens, and I had foot surgery and other health issues and WW is the only place where I can go and tell my story. I was embarrassed to have gained weight back and didn't want to comfort the people I seen when I weighted them in, but I did it 2 weeks ago and I feel amazing. I will work for WW again one day!

I LOVE being a member of the Weight Watchers family. I really don't have any complaints other than the cost of the program and the fact you can only make lifetime if you go into the locations. However, I find the program very simple to follow and truly enjoy the Connect community. I've canceled my membership a few times in past years, but always keep coming back. The point system has become so ingrained into my life that I find it hard not to have it. I believe it's been a key element to maintaining my weight and the main contributor to when I focus on losing weight. I just wish the cost for my online membership gave me a little bit more such as including the magazine membership. Either way, I'll probably always be a WW member!

I wish the WW App. Would calculate daily amounts of protein, salt, sugar, etc to promote healthy eating and not just total points per day. I also wish there was more guidance on activity points. We have a daily allowance of food points, why not a daily goal of activity points calculated based on age, weight.

Joni, we greatly appreciate your feedback regarding our app. We will forward your feedback to the appropriate team as we work to improve our products and services to provide the best experience possible for our members. I love the tracking system. It allows me to adjust points and plan meals days in advance. Also, you can scan those treats and unknown foods. To receive value points. The addition of restaurants and smart points are an absolute bonus. I was even able to use it at LongHorn. I dabbled in my weekly points that week. But I was still able to make informed decisions. I also enjoy filling up with fruit and vegetables for 0 points. The fitpoints are also a plus. So far, I Lost 3.8 pounds in 4 weeks.

Figuring out this system is impossible: I can't figure out what the "Weekly Total" numbers mean, and cannot find a graph or running total of either intake or output (steps). I can't figure out what "steps" means... does it mean walking? A stair master? There seems to be no "glossary".

I signed up for a 3 month plan and was excited to track and lose weight. The app rejected my recipes on day one stating ‘connection error’ and the website gave a similar error. Tech support advised that there was an issue on their end then proceeded to tell me to clear my cache and cookies. Anyways, I decided against using this service the very first day because if I cannot track things appropriately, it’s a waste of time, effort, and money.
I emailed to cancel my account the first night and just received a response that they are canceling my account but they are NOT refunding my $40. I am livid and will be calling them today. I am sure this is how they make a lot of money because people get frustrated that their tool to track sucks! Also, this way of eating isn’t healthy. It cuts calories severely (I met my poInts day one and was hovering at 1250) which isn’t an actual lifestyle change. When I saw two pieces of white bread was the same points as 1/4 of an avocado, I was done. Don’t waste your time or money, folks. This is a rip off and a total scam.

I would give this zero stars if I could. This program is a scam. Not only is the website and app impossible to use, but there are free calorie tracking apps that are a million times better. I'm basically paying for $16 a month for an app that doesn't have half as many foods to choose from as the free calorie tracker app. They also make it very hard to cancel and they say no contract but you sign up for the months ahead of time and are still required to pay after you cancel. THAT IS A CONTRACT. They still send you emails after you cancel with NO way to unsubscribe. Awful site. Awful business.

First he wouldn't even let me say a word just kept interrupting me in very rude fashion raising his voice. I asked to speak to a supervisor and he told me there was none available. I said I could not talk to him any longer, he was in almost a yelling tone. He then proceeded to put me on hold for over 30 minutes and then the call just went to dead air. The service reps name was John or so he told me. He spoke with an accent. This kind of behavior to a customer should never happen and was extremely upsetting. I have been a lifetime member for about 2 years. It has been great for me. But recently when I went to weigh in for the month, I was told I was 4 pounds over my goal and there would be a 15.00 CHARGE! I went "What!?" In the past when I have been over my goal weight, there was never a problem. They always encourage you to makes changes to help. As I am told, This was implemented about 1 year ago. I can never remember getting penalized. I am sorry, at one point a person's weight will vary. Especially if you become ill. BUT to charge $15.00! for being overweight by 3-4 pounds is ridiculous. This is a discouragement not encouragement! Is WEIGHT WATCHERS to help people or to make money off on people? I go there for encouragement to get back on track! But this DETRACTS when you have to pay 15.00!

When I spoke to the woman she mentioned a 20 dollar cancellation fee, which I understand however I asked if she could cancel the following week. She put me on hold, canceled my account and charged my account. When I asked to refund me she said no. When I asked for a supervisor she was too busy. I understand it's only 20 dollars, however when you are counting on that 20 for another bill it counts. It's unacceptable to just go ahead and charge my account. She could have told me to call the following week. I have used Weight Watchers in the past. The program is great. Don't get a bind with money because they don't care. I was on Weight Watchers for several years, and loved the program, and achieved lifetime member status. However, due to financial needs, I changed my account to online status. After doing so I was billed for another month. (I had at one point gone over my goal weight). Upon review of my bank account I also noticed that I was being billed twice each month... 14.95 around the 8th of each month, and 44.95 around the 20th of each month. I called customer service, and they agreed I was being billed on 2 separate accounts and had been since I became a lifetime member (the 14.95), and when I went over my goal weight (the 44.95). However, even though they admitted they were billing me twice, on two different accounts, they offered to only credit the one monthly charge that I we billed after changing to online account. And refused to credit any of the second monthly charges (the 14.95 charged each month).
By my estimation I overpaid by approximately 165.00. I cancelled all membership, because they wouldn't even consider making this right, or even answer my question when I asked how they justify not correcting their error, they would only respond that they would only refund the one charge after the change to online account. I quit a program I really liked because I have no desire to promote or be part of a company that refused to take responsibility for their mistakes, won't be accountable, and has no integrity. They admitted they were billing me under 2 separate accounts, and apparently felt it was acceptable to just keep my money... SMH.

I preferred the old system, and it quickly became apparent after signing up. I did the three month deal of $50 online only. After just a few days I decided it really wasn't going to work for me so I cancelled. No refund. Zero. Didn't matter if I told it to cancel in October (1 month's worth of service) or in December (the full three months). They could at least take the standard $19 out of the $50 and refund the rest. I feel cheated by this because NOWHERE does it mention the special pricing does not qualify for a refund - even though I cancelled just 4 DAYS after signing up. I don't have the time or the wherewithal today to even try and argue with them. Buyer beware.

First let me start by say I use a prepaid cc for all online shopping or for any recurring purchases that I sign-up for online. So with that being said I wanted to start my membership with WW. I filled in all the fields to start the program right, and then the screen gets to the payment portion. I fill in all required slots there right... and then this error message appears. I knowingly only transferred the exact amount that the subscription would cost into the account to be on the safe side and sure enough I went back to check all the information that I typed in to make sure it was correct and tried to continue again then the same message appears, so I think to myself let me check the account and sure enough WW was holding the exact amount of funds required for sign-up.
So I call WW to see why they're holding the amount but when I log in it's still asking me to sign-up. The operator responds by saying, "Well, that's our policy. It's just an authorization. It will return in a couple of business days or maybe 24hrs." So I asked, "Well since you're holding the funds why am I not considered signed-up?" The agent actually asked if I would like to provide my cc info again so that she could try and charge me again just to see if it would go through. NO I Would Not. It's not okay to just hold funds on someone's account for a membership if you're going to charge them then charge them or either make it clear to newcomers that you need to have $100 dollars plus to sign-up for this subscription because we're going to hold 50 and charge 50.... Dang, I am just trying to lose so weight not a lot of money.

The program WORKS... if you work with it. Customer service with WW is a dream. You call, you get answers. Anytime I have canceled they have never billed me past what I owed and have even refunded my money a couple of times. There has never been an issue. I'm going back and this time I am in it to win it. I will make LIFETIME and I will never leave again. I have seen now why meetings are so important. An investment in my health is never wasted money. 40.00 a month is a small investment for an amazing return... oh... did I mention my grocery bill will go down by about 1/3. Beware!! I was very unhappy with my experience with Weight Watchers. It has nothing to do with weight loss. I joined in September 2016 & I canceled my membership in Feb 2017. I somehow had a duplicate account (one charging me $44 and the other $20 per month). They only agreed to reimburse 3 months on each account. This to me is fraudulent!! If I had signed up with different email addresses & different credit cards, then I could totally understand how this could have happened but that wasn't the case. I am very disappointed in Weight Watchers. I joined Feb. 20, 2017 under one of their 3 month promotions. By May 20th I had lost the 10# required to get a $100 visa card, or roll it over into another couple of months membership. In order to receive this $ one had to fill out a form with a copy of my passbook showing my weight loss. This seemed crazy as everything about WW is electronic now. Okay so I did that and while patiently waiting for my $100 I noticed they had been taking out $44.95 for the months of May and June (I'm bad for not noticing it sooner). So, I immediately canceled my membership online.
When I finally got a hold of someone in billing I was told that "it is in the terms and agreement that WW has the right to continue to take membership fees until you cancel." I was also told that in order to get the $100 I have to have an active account... YIKES! and a few other choice words. In the end it just wasn't even worth getting the $100 back. WW meetings now consist of the first 10-15 minutes reviewing the latest crappy 1 point pasta "they" have for sale or the one point chocolate the size of my thumb nail that's loaded with preservative. So you go Weight Watchers I hope you implode.

I had noticed a while ago that I was still being billed by Weight Watchers even though I have not used them for years. I called to let them know before and they said I had to call back later that no one was in that could help me. I called back later and they said that I was continuing to be billed after my 3 month subscription ran out as was agreed. I was frustrated because I tried to get back into my account after the 3 months was up and it said that I no longer had a current subscription and had to renew so I figured that it had been canceled. And as I read the previous reviews I see that I'm not the only one that this has happened to.
When I canceled today for sure I thought it would have been nice for them to refund me some money but of course no such remuneration was offered. Just to let people know there is an app call Diet Watchers that is essentially the same as Weight Watchers. You pay a one time fee of I believe 6$ and that's it. I really hope Weight Watchers goes out of business. They are such a ripoff.

I have tried WW 3 times and every time there has been a problem with the app or the billing. This last time was the worst. I signed up for a promotion from the Weight Watchers website that was for 3 months at $35. The payment went through but then when I tried to log into the app it said my subscription had ran out. So I sent 5 emails before I finally heard back from someone 2 weeks later. So I wasn't even able to use the app for 2 weeks. The email I got back was poorly written and asked for a lot of personal information and I didn't feel comfortable writing all that in an email so I called instead.
The first guy I talked to could barely speak English so it took over 30 minutes to get anywhere. I explained my situation and he said the only thing he could do for me was to refund my $35 and get the newest promotion. The newest promotion was 3 months for $50... So it was worse than what I had already paid for. I wasn't happy so he said he'd give me a month for free. It still made me mad though because I was having to pay more than what I tried to the first time. So I decided to just go ahead with it because I really like the app.
A few hours later I checked my bank account and no joke, they withdrew $1000. My account went negative and I was freaking out. So I had to call them again and of course this guy also barely spoke English. I explained everything and told him how unhappy I was and that I just wanted to cancel everything and to obviously get my $1000 back! He basically told me there was nothing he could do and that I have to call my bank and deal with it myself.
This company has the WORST customer service I have ever experienced. Now I am sitting on hold with my bank, currently at 30 minutes wait, and hoping they can get my money back. An additional requirement was that "Your Weight Watchers subscription must be current at the time you submit the refund form." I lost the 10 within the 60 days and completed the required form to cancel my membership and start the refund process on May 16th. In spite of that, Weight Watchers began deducting membership fees from my checking account. Upon requesting that they refund the fees they had deducted, I was told by a Weight Watchers representative that I must retain active membership during the processing of the $100 gift card which would take 8 to 12 weeks, and would end up costing me more in membership fees more than the $100 I would be receiving. They have since only agreed to cancel my membership as of today but declined to issue any refund.

What they didn't tell me - it takes up to 4 months to process the form AND you have to pay a $45 membership fee each of those months. After 4 phone calls to Weight Watchers, I am still trying to resolve this. Today I gave up and cancelled my membership. While the app works well you get past the constant state of having to log in even when it's on your phone. The fact that you oftentimes cannot log in and then get locked out is just ridiculous. Tonight I found out that because I signed up for WW at WORK. They can't reset my password at the number they tell you to call. Instead, they have dedicated staff at WW to assist us with technical problems. What?? Really?? It's the same problem - a password reset - not some specific issue that takes a specialized person.

Well I lost 15 and even had their scale to connect with them to prove this. Now they say I had to renew for another 3 months or I will have to pay a $20 fee. So basically, I am not going to get that $100 either. I have already put almost $200 into the company to get $100, which I never received. Well, this diet plan involves the same thing as many free online diet plans offer, so I would suggest to save your money. It is a good plan but they just swap points for calorie counting: something that you can easily do on your own. I regret joining again.

Tried Weight Watchers for about three months. The idea of the diet is good healthy standards. Low fat, low sugar, high fruit, high protein diet. I choose not to continue as I already went through a major diet experience 10 years ago with proportion control and calorie counting using similar standards. I commend the idea of Weight Watchers in a society that has lost its good eating habits and put those individuals back on the right track. I choose not to continue with Weight Watchers as I got a half assed introduction to the program and I still haven't a clue what the whole hubbub is about nor how to proceed about it. Here's my experience:
Signed up online. Went to a local meeting. Got signed in. Sat through a 30 minute talk meeting. Half the meeting was about how you don't dip your hand into the candy dish. Then the welcome meeting after. I got a half assed introduction to the program for my introduction. Was given a welcome packet. Was requested to go through it at my leisure. Rep sent 20 minutes on hold with weight watchers app 800 # to figure out an error in the app. Then a little about the program about what to eat but requested me to read through the material at my leisure.
Went online later that night to figure out more. All I found were recipes and an app that is confusing in serving sizes. Lost 5 lbs in the first two months. Not bad. I tried about three of the meetings and found it was more of a struggle to work them into a rotating random retail schedule. Realized some of the instructors are better than others. My introduction to it was done by one that probably could use a little coaching for new applicants.
I realized the meetings were not all that helpful for me as they didn't really explain the program in detail. Three months later and I still haven't a clue how the diet works or what it is about or how to proceed about it. Over half the meetings were about how you don't dip your hand into the candy dish or do I choose an apple over a donut. That was it. The only reason why I lost weight was because I replaced sugar with fruit and only splurge twice a month. In addition to heavily omitting fatty foods.
I honestly can diet without this program. Thank you for the kick I needed to start it though. I however will not continue with it until explanation is done better. I am left in the dark and $80 of my dollars are no more. (Per other reviews, I will closely watch my account to be sure the monthly billing process is canceled. I feel to deny a refund in the first 3 months is not an ethical practice of business. A diet does take a few months to see results but to some people they don't need all the glamor to diet. They just know how.)

I signed up for 3 months and then noticed WW was auto billing my account every month. I then canceled my account. However, Weight Watchers continued to bill us for the service for months and months after. When I called to question the charges the person on the phone was rude and implied that it was my fault that the account was not closed, and did not offer to refund any of the fraudulent charges. Weight Watchers knew that there is no activity on an account, but instead of sending a courtesy email asking why we were no longer using the service and enticing us to get back on it, they chose to remain silent and continue to collect the $49.95/month. And when I called, again, they could have looked up the account and seen that there was no activity for months and refunded us for that time, but they did not. That is a crooked and very anti-consumer policy. Shameful. Beware.
The most shocking system when dealing with customer services "system" being the operative word. I was appalled to see all of the complaints. I thought WW was a reputable company! I am not normally a negative person (and spoke with the utmost respect to those I communicated my issues to) however show me the way to a Director/C.E.O of Weight Watchers and a few choice words would be spoken!! Sorry for the rant and thank you for the other posts that at least made me realize I was not alone. :-) It's not the money, it's the principle. I will be spreading the shocking feedback as I go and never darkening the doors of Weight Watchers again (which is a shame because at times I really rather enjoyed it).

So many of the complaints on here are about billing. If you use PayPal, you have control over authorized billing, and it solves the issue. So far no billing issues, and if I want to quit WW, I can just de-authorize payments and they won't be able to bill me anymore. I also don't use fitbits, etc., so pretty much no need to deal with customer service.
I was disappointed to see practically no reviews of the program itself when I was considering signing up, so I thought I'd add one: I enjoy using the WW site and app. I don't bother with meetings, and have the online version only. Very easy to use, and I actually enjoy tracking stuff during the day. It has significantly helped me increase my activity level and pay attention to what I eat. I combine this approach with other healthy eating habits I was already following (lots of produce, very little meat, very little sugar and processed food, reasonable carbs, etc.). I have been eating healthy for years, but over the last year, I saw about 8 pounds sneak up on me. I realized it was due to too much desk work, too little exercise, and hidden calories in my meals and snacks. Using this app keeps me on track for activity and food intake. I can still eat what I want in general, but it's more balanced.
I lost 6 points in a month, which is a healthy rate and fine with me, and I decided to maintain this weight - meaning, you can change your setting from weight loss to weight maintenance, which I did today. My increased exercise is toning me up, and I feel great. I plan to keep my account current for the foreseeable future. My favorite benefit - tracking activity. Sounds silly, but I time everything now and go for "points," including housework... My house and I are both in better shape for it. You can experiment with your account settings. I ended up choosing "Tracking" and "Swap my fit points first." This means that if I have a high-calorie day and go over my food points, I can increase my activity level and earn more points to compensate for it. Seems to work. There you go...

She had me to change my password again; told me I would definitely be able to get on and gave me a "free month". I got and will save a cancellation confirmation number and e-mail and see if I ever get the refund. I evidently also will have to make sure they don't keep charging me as that seems to be their big money maker. Also, the new program gives each food item more points than previously. I have been very hungry since I started yesterday and intend to use an old 1970's booklet and program. Shame on this company. I've tried at various times to get the emails to stop coming to me. The link in the email just circles back to the page and doesn't go anywhere, so I can't unsubscribe. Thinking it was a glitch, I just deleted emails and would randomly try, but I've had enough. Daily emails sometimes multiple emails a day to my work email address (previously I was a member of their "AT WORK" program).
I've been tracking the emails since September 15, 2016 when I emailed to cancel. I received a canned response that they're sorry I no longer want the emails, they'll remove me and it'll take 2-3 WEEKS to be removed. (That's WHEN I even get a response back, usually I don't). So I wait that amount of time and email again and get the same canned response, but the daily emails continue. Only once have I received a response other than the canned response and that he had put me in all 4 programs for removing emails, give it 48 hours after (+2 days). If I'm still getting them at that time, they're probably forwarding from another email address.
Since my membership, I did get married so my name had changed. When that didn't work, I did give them my old name and email address (since it does forward), but I'm still getting daily emails and each of the emails show my CURRENT name and email address not my previous, so not the issue. It's so frustrating to constantly get emails that I don't want, that I have tried in good faith to remove myself from, (the link in the email STILL don't work by the way) especially since it's to a business email. My interpretation of the CAN-SPAM act says that a request to be removed from emails must be easy and must take place within a much shorter time frame (2 business WEEKS I believe. I'd have to check again). This clearly is not meeting those requirements. The "Customer Service" simply doesn't exist.

I have not used WW online for 3 months and they wouldn't refund me because the terms and conditions which she said are "all over the site" state that they will continue at the end of your period... I struggled to find this. She said when I signed up it would have said that at the bottom. Okay so I don't have a leg to stand on but I think this is VERY misleading and have no doubt that many people would be in the same situation. Why bother having a 12 week plan? Why not just make it an ongoing plan where you cancel when you want to. It is MISLEADING. Or at least an email at the end of the 12 weeks saying "Your 12 week period is now at an end, we will continue with you on the plan unless you reply and cancel."

I joined Weight Watchers on 1/18/17 and I love it! I had never been a member before, so I don't know about the other point systems that were used. However, the number of points I have is plenty and I am never hungry. The program allows for you to eat things like cookies and chips but you may have to sacrifice something else to stay in your point range. For me it has helped me make better choices. I realize that the cookie or the chips aren't worth the points and will instead have fruit or another healthy snack. Do I still eat goodies sometimes? Absolutely! And this program allows for that.
I have lost over 7 pounds in the last month and I feel great. I go to weekly meetings which are wonderful and I utilize all of their online tools which keeps me motivated. The tracking of points is simple. I would recommend this program to anyone. And this is coming from a woman that has tried everything - literally - to lose weight. I can see myself being a success with this program and I can see this becoming my lifestyle. This is not a temporary fix. This is real! WW is a great system.

I was shocked at how horrible and terrible and rude of the customer service was! It's obviously a call center in the Philippines and the women there speak very loudly and in a very condescending tone. I had to call three different times because the woman on the phone the first time and the second time could not figure out how to make this simple change to my account. She insisted on changing my password and finally after three days of dealing with this the situation was resolved.

I waited patiently for the refund in my account and never received it, I called today and a customer service person told me that I was not going to receive anything because they didn't receive the monthly pass back within 2 weeks after canceling the account. I was never told about this. They never gave me a timeline to send my pass. Just an excuse to not give your money back. Then they told me they had NO RECORD of any effort to cancel. Oh, and by the way, they cancelled my account with absolutely NO refund. I loved Weight Watchers prior to Feb 2016 when Oprah took over. Since she took over the points for each food item such as pudding snack jumped dramatically where you can't eat normal foods without going over your daily limit. Also, I figured out my actual calorie intake based on the new point system and it was actually UNDER 1,000 for the day so even though I was reaching my allotted daily points I was well under the recommended daily calorie allotment for someone dieting. This alone left me feeling VERY hungry and set me up to overeat because I felt like I was starving. I work out daily and this low calorie allotment does NOT match the daily points making it unhealthy and unrealistic. I used to love I could eat everything on the old program and feel satisfied and still lose weight. The new program is so restricted and anything with carbs or sugar is marked up so high in points that if you choose to eat that item you are almost maxed out for the day!
This made me feel like it didn't matter. At that point I was starving and needed to eat and to be honest I have not lost one pound. It actually caused me to gain weight because I always felt deprived. Please go back to old system. Just because Oprah wants to restrict her carbs to nothing doesn't mean this is good for the general population who is looking to lose a little weight or maintain. The program has now become unrealistic. Real life means eating all types of foods in moderation and this program causes MAJOR restrictions so once people start eating again they will certainly gain the weight back like I did. Please consider going back to old system prior to Oprah revamping points. Thank you.

I signed up for a special 3 month promotion around Sept 2015. I told my local branch that I only wanted to attend for 2 and a half months because I had a planned pregnancy coming up. I wanted to prepay for the entire promotional period and not pay anything monthly afterward. They took my credit card info so I could pay. 2 weeks before my in vitro fertilization pregnancy date, I told the local branch that I would be pregnant in two weeks. They said they didn't want to know that because if they knew I was pregnant, then I wouldn't be able to attend anymore. That confused me because of course I didn't want to attend anymore if I would be pregnant. Besides, I prepaid and my prepaid period would be coming to an end so I wouldn't be able to attend anymore anyway... Or so I thought. I still got monthly pass cards in the mail, but thought WW didn't realize I was cancelled.
Today... My baby is now 6 months old and I decided to call WW to confirm I'm not paying for it since these cards keep coming. Apparently, $44.95 had been coming out of my debit card for over a year! The local branch never told me I'd have to call to cancel or that I'd even be charged after that one payment where I thought I was prepaying for 3 months. Tonight, I called and they refunded 6 months after I spoke to a supervisor. I'm still upset, though, because I paid a lot more than 6 months' worth. Also, the local branch should have told me that I'd continue to be charged or that I should cancel. They shouldn't have tried to pretend they didn't hear that I'd be pregnant soon. I think if I enroll at the branch, they should provide information to help their customers. If anyone mentions going to Weight Watchers, I will now tell them my story and actively discourage them from attending.

Finally it goes through... I didn't think anything of the errors with entering my cc information. So the next day 12/31/2016 I check my bank account & come to realization that WW charged my account $49.85 seven times!!! I immediately called the customer service number & got connected with a guy who clearly didn't speak very well English. Go figure... He's telling me he only shows one transaction not seven. This guy asked for my credit card information to further evaluate why my card was charged so many times. I give him my information & he puts me on hold! He had me on hold for like 15 mins before he got back on the phone.
Finally gets back on the phone & tells me he is sorry but he can only see that my account was charged 1 time. I demanded to speak to a supervisor. He puts me on hold for another 15 to 20 mins. Finally gets back on the phone & tells me they were able to see the charges & the money will be put back on my credit card in 24 hrs. Also said this was for authorization purposes only! They apparently charged my account seven times for a total of almost $300 for authorization purposes only!!! So I hung up. Check my account the next day... & OF COURSE my money is still NOT in my bank account. So I called the customer service number once again this time DEMANDING 6 months for free & all of my money back this time.
The woman I spoke to of course didn't speak very good English again! She's tells me she can only see one transaction from my bank account on 12/30/2016. (But the guy I spoke to the day before said they were able to see all of the transactions.) She then puts me on hold for a few mins then gets back on the phone & asks for my credit card information. THIS TIME I refused! Explained I have already gone through this with someone else I'm not giving my information out again. I demanded to speak to a supervisor. She puts me on hold to see if she can find an available supervisor. Gets back on the phone & tells me nobody was available because they were all on the phone. Then states my money will be put on my card in 24-48 hours & that she can only give me 30 days of free service.
I demanded to speak to a supervisor again! Puts me on hold for a few mins then gets back on the phone & says nobody is available because it is Sunday & I can call back tomorrow. Needless to say... If you really need to lose weight, please believe me, this program DOES NOT WORK. Many of the Weight Watchers programs in the past have worked very successfully, but this one does not. Even if you follow it to a tee and stay within your points limits everyday you WILL NOT lose weight, at best you will stay the same. Some of the reasons for this is because people are no longer held accountable for their choices, people are no longer "encouraged" to lose weight, people are no longer "guided in their journey to weight loss". The new philosophy and mantra that is coming through in the talks that the leaders give every week is this: if it makes you FEEL good, DO IT and celebrate it. This is not good for someone who needs to lose weight.
The problem of over-eating is what people come to Weight Watchers for, and for me to be told to celebrate being fat, or pat myself on the back when I've binged on food is just not going to encourage me to lose weight. Also for 2 weeks I followed the program religiously, stayed within my points range, ate extra zero point fruits and vegetables, exercised 20 minutes everyday and I did not lose weight, I was gaining. So at the meeting I spoke up and said to the leader: "I need help, I think I'm doing everything right and following the program and I'm not losing, I really need some guidance and assistance." The leader responded with: "well if you're not losing you're eating too much, it's that simple".
But if I'm eating too much then it's the fault of the program, because if eating my points limit everyday is causing me to gain then isn't the program designed wrong?? And the saddest part was that the leader offered no further guidance or direction after that. It was other members who came to me after the meeting and started offering me suggestions and ideas and encouragement and guidance... because they recognized that the leader did not address my need, and did not take it seriously when I asked for help... so they pitched in to help me.
I eventually quit and went to another weight loss program and took my food journals with me to show the doctor at the new program what I had been eating and also my weight record of not losing, and he assessed everything and said "you are consuming more calories than you need and that's why you're not losing weight, but you've still stayed within all the parameters of the Weight Watchers program, so the program is not scientifically sound and you've done nothing wrong, we just need to design a proper program for you that doesn't have you eating "unlimited" anything no matter how healthy it is, and doesn't discourage healthy fats, and doesn't encourage high amounts of protein.
You've been eating very low "starch" but not low carb because what you've cut down in starches you've increased in fruits and vegetables and those too have significant amounts of carbs and calories that are being added to your diet everyday but not being accounted for. From what I can see here from your journal you're actually taking in an extra 500 calories a day in fruits and vegetables but these calories are not being accounted for in the program you were on. That's an extra lb a week that you could be gaining just from the fruits and vegetables you're eating. Any good diet program needs to be balanced... and unlimited anything is never a good idea."
I started the diet program he offered and it worked, I have been consistently losing and have lost 64 lbs so far. I'm saddened simply because over the yrs I always lost weight on Weight Watchers programs, but not this SmartPoints one, it's just not designed to lose weight, it's designed to make people "feel better about themselves while remaining overweight". I guess the reality is, as long as people stay fat Weight Watchers will always be in business, so it's not in their best interest to actually have people lose and keep it off.

I asked about this at the meeting and was told that there really is none. One must do their own thing. The new ww is not as good as the old. In fact it really does not make sense. Diabetics cannot eat all the fruit they want. I also don't understand why ww carries so many carb snacks. Wouldn't it be better to have more protein snacks available. Perhaps WW should discuss this with a good endocrinologist. So, now I am going to a nutritionist and it seems to be better for me. More reasonable for my needs.

I have been a weight watchers for over 20 years and experienced many program changes. The Smart Points Plan is the dumbest they have ever had. While it is great that they revamped things so that sugary foods/empty calories cost more points, they have dragged healthy foods, like milk products, that contain naturally-occurring sugar down as well. The end result is that members are consuming fewer milk products and in a population that leans heavily toward older women that is not "smart."
Also, the WW crack research team seems to have missed the data that says good fats are important in a lot of ways - not the least is the role fats play in satisfying hunger. I have been to meeting with various leaders and they all rely very heavily or processed foods to get enough calories while staying within their point totals - "fake" cheese, low-fat (high sodium) processed lunch meats, expensive processed milk (yes, they are now processing milk) with a lowered sugar content... the list goes on and on. While WW touts the fact that people lose more weight on the Smart Points Program than they did with Points Plus, that does not make it healthy.
Reviewed Nov. 14, 2016
So many reviews here about WW fraudulent billing practices, and I can tell you, they are all true. What's more, is that the new program Smartpoints, Beyond the Scale is ridiculous. In the meetings they celebrate and clap, and yell in excitement when someone confesses that they overate gained. One such incident, a lady said, "I'm up two lbs this week because I ate 1/2 a cheesecake." The leader said, "How did you feel when you were doing it? Did it make you feel great? If so then BRAVO to you for doing something for yourself that made you feel great, Let's give ___ a hand shall we and celebrate that she's putting herself first and doing what makes her feel good."
This is outrageous. It's doing what "makes us feel great" and overeating that got us in this situation of being overweight in the first place. When someone is trying to lose weight they need encouragement, yes, but they don't need their failures celebrated. The leader simply could have said, "Don't worry, tomorrow is another day, you don't have to let one bad moment turn into multiple days of overeating, we'll help you refocus and get back on track, don't beat yourself up over it." But this celebrating and clapping, and bravos for someone who did something that was not in their best interest from a health perspective is a horrible thing for an organization to be doing.
Also, the new Smartpoints program is not really scientifically based. There is a lot of science showing that low carb, moderate protein, and moderate fat intake is a very healthy way to lose weight. But the SP program focuses on "high" protein, "low" fat, and unlimited fruit and vegetables. Science clearly indicates that this cannot result in weight loss and I have proven it. I joined 3 months ago to lose 10 lbs, and have stuck to the program faithfully, and have been edging up 1/2 a lb a week or staying the same, but definitely not losing. Because the program is not scientifically sound.
You cannot eat higher amounts of protein without also increasing your fat intake. I'm not talking high fat, but moderate amounts of healthy fats. But the SP program penalizes you for having fats. If you eat healthy fats you will use up way too many points and not be able to eat enough food to ward off hunger. Healthy fat intake is crucial to the success of any diet that is low in carbs or higher in protein. I have had 30 yrs of "regularity," going to the bathroom 2-3 times a day. My body has always worked like a clock, but once I started this program I was going to the bathroom once every 7 days. It was horrible and very unhealthy. I increased my water intake big time. But because I couldn't increase my fat content the protein and fiber just turned to cement in my body and would not move through.
Since Oprah has begun her influence the entire program is all about "how you feel, and live and be happy, and come-by-ya" and not about results, or being held accountable for your actions and choices, etc. I don't go to WW for therapy, I go to lose weight, because I need to learn how to control my habits and make better choices. I just don't think they should be acting like 5 yr olds and celebrating, and giving people high-fives when they overeat and gain weight. It's juvenile.

Weight Watchers offers monthly passes & promotions but doesn't tell you during orientation if you purchase the convenient monthly pass via credit card, you are automatically renewed at the end of the time period of your purchase. WW says you received this pass because you subscribed to a monthly pass (sounds OK) but it DOES NOT tell you when the pass allocation you purchased expires, they AUTOMATICALLY renew and charge your credit card for another. To my surprise, I received a renewed pass in the mail that I did not expect or request. I hadn't accessed Weight Watchers meetings or online app in months. I soon discovered the website has a link for cancellations... which I didn't know you had to officially cancel after the end of a purchased card time period. I thought [from past experience] if you ended a purchase period you were done unless you renewed and you purchased more time.
The website [referenced] link for cancellations... when you click it, nothing happens beyond a message to stay motivated. It seems 'Cancellations' does not help you to actually cancel a membership most people likely don't realize continues. Cancellations entry online does nothing. So then I called the 1-800 number whereas was told the monthly pass states it is a subscribed pass... which again makes sense to the receiver when it's active. I said nothing was explained to me that subscribing to a 6 month pass meant automatic renewal. I signed up to attend meetings for 6 months (higher cost than online only) that I subsequently found to be very basic and not at all inspiring [for me] so I stopped attending meetings and subsequently stopped going for check-in several months ago.
Weight Watchers also had a promotion [when I purchased pass] you could receive a refund after a couple of months of weight loss - online form for submission but when I searched online for the form when it was time for me to submit amount lost for a refund on costs, after asking a WW staff person for help accessing form without any success, I concluded the promotion form for a refund was nowhere to be found. It appeared to be a Gimmick to engage people in purchasing a monthly pass for longer memberships but like cancellations, not available to actually complete when requirements were met for benefits. Very disappointing. Weight Watchers is not appearing to offer ethical practice. Sadly I suggest buyer beware when it comes to accessing Weight Watchers.

It is truly a shame to see this once respectful company being turned into an unreachable, untrustworthy, unfriendly business.

I've read many poor reviews (sorry so many people had bad experiences) but felt I needed to state that I've had nothing but positive things. I was warned in advance to cancel 2 weeks ahead of time as to not be billed. I was told this about 3 times by different WW people. The meetings have been extremely helpful...love the support of all the other women but most of all our leader is simply wonderful. I leave feeling encouraged with new information to help with my weight goals. I only had 10 pounds to lose so probably will not subscribe longer than my 3 months but I enjoy the meetings so much I might just continue. My only disappointment is that when counting points fruit does not have points. If you are a very large person I suppose it would not matter. Like I mentioned I'm only 10 pounds overweight so eating that fruit will keep me from losing.

This program is a scam!! DON'T SIGN UP FOR ANYTHING WITH WEIGHT WATCHERS!!! I signed up during the promotional period, "lose 10 lbs within 2 months and get 100.00 debit card". I lost the 10 lbs. Called Weight Watchers and inquired about the 100.00. I was told to fill out the required forms and mail in with proof. Two weeks later I received a "Dear Valued Member" form letter. The letter stated my weekly logged weight was not legible. I sent another letter with the actual weight log book for proof. Received a 2nd letter stating I did not sign up during the promotional period, therefore the 100.00 will not be offered.
I definitely signed up during the promotional period. I signup over the phone and this 10 lbs/100.00 program was the reason I did signup. Frustrated; I called the 800 number and between being switched back and forth between supervisors and being on with them for over an hour. I was told my 100 dollar request would be reviewed by senior management. NEVER DID I RECEIVE A CALL OR EMAIL FROM THEM.
Note: if you cancel your membership before the 100 dollars is received the 100 will be not be issued. So the longer Weight Watchers stalls the more monthly fees they get. Each month a 48.00 fee was being automatically withdrawn from my bank account. I finally gave in and had my membership cancelled over the phone and they can keep my 100.00 dollars. Cancelling the membership over the phone took another hour (and that's no BS). Believe me I will never sign up for anything with Weight Watchers.

BEWARE DEALING WITH WEIGHT WATCHERS --I purchased 12 weeks of the Weight Watchers program on-line. I made sure I only purchased 12 weeks on a one-time payment. Instead, Weight Watchers has buried deep within their terms (you know, the small print written by a team of lawyers in lawyer-speak) that they can bill you at maximum monthly payment. You won't realize it unless you scrutinize your credit card statement 3 months later. It may be a Wall Street traded stock, but Weight Watchers works like a SCAM OPERATION!!! Never purchase anything from Weight Watchers without a competent lawyer in tow.

I joined several months ago under a program for 3 months. I wanted to upgrade my account to a different level, Total Access member and I tried to do over the 24/7 chat and after 30 minutes of going back and forth with a Tech support that seemed like forever, they informed me that I had to do the account status change over the phone. I called the 1-800 phone number and got someone from who knows where (clearly overseas) and they asked for very sensitive personal information and credit card information. I was not comfortable providing it and after numerous attempts to provide other information, I did have to provide my cc information in order to complete the status upgrade. After the phone conversation I regretted ever doing the transaction over the phone, but there are no other options that WW provides and EVERYONE in the organization defers to the 1-800 number for customer service.
Four days later, my CC agency informed me that my CC had been compromised and purchases in Japan were made using my card. I was upset and reached out to WW again on their 1-800 phone number and got another someone from who knows where and I agreed prior to the phone call to answer a phone survey after the conversation. I asked to speak with a supervisor and after 30 minutes on the phone, they said there was technical difficulty getting a supervisor on the phone to talk with me. They told me to call back. After the phone conversation, I was expecting to take the phone survey and guess what happened? Nothing...yep, the phone went dead. I guess they didn't want any feedback that wasn't going to be positive.
I have since left feedback in the email to WW and guess again, yep, someone from who knows where with a name I cannot even pronounce emailed me and wished me all the success on my weight loss journey, but wanted to know why I wanted to speak with a supervisor...REALLY?? This is the fourth person I have had to tell my story to and I still haven't gotten anyone to speak to other than tech support. Customer Service is non-existent at WW and I have no idea where these people are from, but I am convinced my CC was sold or stolen as a result of providing it over the phone to their tech support.
As of today, I have talked or emailed to five different individuals and am no further along on resolving anything. My Credit Card Agency opened a fraud investigation and all I wanted to do was to alert WW about a potential problem they may have on providing customer service overseas. Unless they figure out how customers can pay in cash, check or in person, I will no longer remain a customer. I have never encountered a worse customer service (or lack of service) system in my life. Do not do anything over the phone or with their 24/7 chat system. There are NO protections for your identity or confidential information.

I'll start by saying I like the WW plan and both me and my mom have been quite successful on making some necessary lifestyle changes. I have no complaints about the actual program... it's the business practices that are stinky and why I'm cancelling my membership. I knew that after signing up for the 3 month plan that WW would start to auto-bill me after the three months was up (it's in the terms and conditions) but I didn't realize I'd be billed 6 weeks in advance with no warning whatsoever! No reminder email that "FYI, your about to be billed for another month". Okay - my bad, read more carefully. But 6 weeks in advance is a very long time to auto-bill someone without any warning. It just feels sneaky to all of a sudden see these charges come off your card without any advance warning. It's poor customer service. If you think your program and business is so great, why do you need to trick people into staying?
Trying to cancel your membership after your credit card has been charged is almost impossible. The online cancellation is counter-intuitive. Even still, I cannot sign up for another 3 months. It's month to month or nothing! You go from a three month plan to a very costly monthly plan. If you want to sign up for a longer period of time you actually have to cancel altogether and then re-join as a brand new member! This means you pay the joining fee again too! Poor business practices. They may have got an extra month from me but they lost me for any future business. Shame WW.
Finally, we had a few weeks where our leader didn't show up (sick) and we were told our accounts would be credited for these weeks. In following up, WW has no record of these requests even though the staff in person keep saying they've let WW know about the missed meetings, they tell me to contact WW. I do and then WW tells me to go back to the meeting staff to discuss it. It's just a runaround. It constantly feels like they are trying to trap you into paying more and more. It just feels sneaky and stinky... so I'll do the program on my own with the support of fellow ex-WW participants. Too bad WW - you lose in the end.

Well, to my shock Weight Watchers Online continued to take money from my account beyond the 6 month period and now that I have disputed, they refuse to refund my money and tell me to read the Terms and Conditions!!! I am a recently widowed senior. I have gone to weight watchers several times over the last 40 years. You could go and pay your money (in cash) and receive the information and get your weekly weigh in. I looked on the website for a long time last night to get the rates and then just traveled quite a long way to a meeting. When I went a representative asked whether we knew the rates and two other people said they spent time online and could not find the rates. I was going to purchase a 3 month pass for cash. She said she could take the money but I had to go online and use my credit card to register and then I would have to go online after three months and cancel it even though the meetings were not going to be charged on it. She said if I did not cancel it new meetings would be charged to the credit card.
I said I only wanted the 3 months as I did not have that much to lose and I would be out of the country in three months with internet that was not always consistent to cancel it. I said I did not want anything offered online I just wanted the program and the meetings. She said I could pay the $101 today but if I did not go online and register with my credit card my payment today would not be recognized and I would have to start all over next week. I called the 800 number she gave me and I got the same story. It looked like if you do not give your credit card so they can find out a way to rip you off they will not let you come. I thought this was a company that started because they wanted to help people not rip off the most vulnerable.

The new Weight Watchers Smart Point System is defeating. I joined, only to find I had minus Smart Points after only two days. I had altered my diet and still, I had minus points. This meant that each day, no matter what I did, or how much I exercised, I was still in the minus, which is psychologically defeating. After three days I wrote to them and asked for a refund, which they refused. Dieting is hard enough and requires some cheering on, not the other way around.

I joined Weight Watchers 2 years ago in 2014. I just did the online and mobile app. I found it very helpful when I wanted to lose 10 lbs so I decided to join again on 8/28/16. I went to the website, set up a profile (my old one could not be found), and proceeded to pick the plan that included going to the meetings. I was delighted to find out that they had a 50% off deal for 90 days of meetings and the app, etc.
However when I tried to pay for the service I was told my card (the one I use for all online purchases) was invalid. Since this card is already set up on my laptop for online shopping, I thought it was odd since I did not have issues on any other websites, but I decided I would try again to put in my card manually. Again, the website said the card was invalid. I tried 1 more time thinking 3 is the charm and AGAIN I received a message saying that my card was invalid. I decided to check my bank account to see if the card went through and saw 7 charges for $77.20!!! 3 tries...7 charges!
I immediately called my bank. It was 8:00 PM on a Sunday but the bank fraud call center was open, and I open a case number for the charges. I was advised to call "the retailer" which I did the next day. I talked to someone in the Philippines who told me not to worry. They would be glad to take my card over the phone and sign me up. I told the rep that there was NO WAY I was giving them my card. There had to be another way for them to check my account besides me giving them my card. She did admit that she could use my email address and log in name to check the account. She came back after a 10 minute wait to tell me that my account was not activated and she could take my card over the phone and sign me up. I declined. I called 5 hours later same day and talked to someone who sounded like the same person but gave me a different name. Same blah, blah, "Don't worry. Just give me your card number." Yeah, no way.
I called again about an hour later and this time instead of talking to the billing department I selected the prompt for Tech Support. I talked to a woman who SOUNDED EXACTLY THE SAME AS THE FIRST TWO PEOPLE, who... surprise, surprise... told me that she would need my card so that she could sign me up. Since when does Tech Support sign people up? I even told her that they all sounded like the same person and she just laughed nervously, but didn't deny it. She constantly fumbled for words and never gave me an explanation as to why this would have happened. She also told me she did not have the capability to open a trouble ticket. "This is Tech Support, right?" "Yes," she replied. She again asked me for my credit card. Really???
I think that the "malfunctioning website" is a ploy to get people to call in and sign up over the phone. I also think it is a window for fraud. I am not going to trust a person in a call center with my credit card information. I have been burned too many times and it's such a hassle to get the charges taken off. I wanted to sign up and still do, but the experience was so bad that this is NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. I am just really disappointed that I can't use the system that helped me lose weight 2 years ago. I have to look for another program or try to lose this last 10 lbs on my own.

For the majority of my adult life I have been an on/off member of weight watchers. Never did get that gold but certainly will not ever get it now!! The most shocking system when dealing with customer services "system" being the operative word. So far I have spoken to 3 lovely members of staff, supervisors included whom with all the will in the world could do nothing for me due to their hands being metaphorically tied by this atrocious company. No one in the ivory towers can be even spoken with, leaving it all the workers on the front line to take all the flak.
I am not normally a negative person (and spoke with the utmost respect to those I communicated my issues to) however show me the way to a Director/C.E.O of Weight Watchers and a few choice words would be spoken!! Sorry for the rant and thank you for the other posts that at least made me realize I was not alone :-) Its not the money, its the principle. I will be spreading the shocking feedback as I go and never darkening the doors of weight watchers again (which is a shame because at times I really rather enjoyed it).

My daughter and I signed up for 6 months and were happy and successful with the program. We then canceled our accounts. However, Weight Watchers continued to bill us for the service for months and months after. When I called to question the charges the person on the phone was rude and implied that it was my fault that the account was not closed, and did not offer to refund any of the fraudulent charges. Weight Watchers knew that there is no activity on an account, but instead of sending a courtesy email asking why we were no longer using the service and enticing us to get back on it, they chose to remain silent and continue to collect the $19.95/month. And when I called, again, they could have looked up the account and seen that there was no activity for months and refunded us for that time, but they did not. That is a crooked and very anti-consumer policy. Shameful. Beware.

Yes, I'm a Lifetime Member, which doesn't mean much anymore. I cannot say how validating it was to read the reviews of the current WW Smart Points Program. I had done well on Points Plus, then had surgery and gained 30 lbs having be in bed for 3 months. So I joined WW again, ready to go. What a horror! As so many have said on here, all the points changed and what I'd done before using the points worked beautifully, this time all the values had increased, even really healthy things. I am a milk person, and to find that my 1% milk went from 3 to 5 points was just one of many horrors. Amy's Organic brand Mexican frozen meals used to be 8 points. Now they're 10. I could go on and on. They have a no-count option, but this entails eating, ick, like tasteless lean meats, that awful "lite" bread, SKIM milk (which I hate as much as I love the other milk options), gag, gag, gag.
I purchased the coaching option, and for three months I tried to wrap my head -- and my motivation -- around this new program, which others on here attest to being depressing, demoralizing, no way to live. WW is all about lifestyle change? Gag me with the way I have to eat on this new program. I cancelled today, and having read all the many complaints about WW not stopping their withdrawals from people's' accounts, I made a copy of my online confirmation (WHICH -- HEAR THIS -- DOES NOT HAVE A CONFIRMATION NUMBER). One person said to call the 800 number (800-651-6000) and GET A CONFIRMATION NUMBER!!! This was today, and the woman assured me in looking at my file, that nothing should come out 5 days from now, and she said her identity was part of the confirmation number, so it would be trackable. We'll see.
Now to the coaching option. Each to their own as to what works for them. And my coach is so nice. That being said, they are all WW leaders, and it's just a more intimate version of the meetings. That's really what I wanted, because I had some emotional things to work through regarding beginning this process again, and I don't take real well to the way the groups are run (for better or worse, I'm a professor who specializes and teaches group therapy, and I see the kind of training, which isn't the fault of the leaders, it just isn't a good model of how groups should be run). Anyway, the groups have been somewhat helpful in the past, but not so much for me.
I've been a fan of the Pro Tracker App which totally emulates the Points Plus Program and still does. I'm relieved to be going back, and leaving this most expensive, confused company behind. The good news is that going through this 3 months with WW again has REALLY powered me up to do it myself. I have everything I need right inside me. I've done it before, and I'm more motivated than I've been in years to do it the way that works for me. I think this is the end of a long on again, off again relationship with WW. Bye bye, WW.

I am not sure how high they can escalate it in 15 weeks but my query must be in Oprah's capable hands by now!
Jokes aside, I am absolutely fuming. After my next call with them, which I am planning on Monday, my the next call will be with Trading standards as WW have broken the contract that I signed up for, not just for the lack of refund but also for the method of refund, as they originally stated that the refund would be in the same method as the way I paid for it i.e. credit card but they have gone back on that and said it is now by cheque.
As per Chiara these people are embarrassing and they should be ashamed of their very poor customer service. I have lost count of how many representatives I have been in contact with but some of them are Veronica, Joanna, Lawrence, Seni, Ropate. Two of them have given me reference numbers, one of which they now conveniently cannot find trace of and I have lost count of how many times I have been promised the cheque refund in the following week. Even with her help, and her emailing me the invoice and confirmation number, the Southgate location could not get it entered in the system prior to the expiration. They said I had to come back on 6/27 to use it. I am going out of town and my next scheduled weight in is 7/1. OMG, the invoice will expire by that time and, again, I received it from corporate who already shows it as paid and sent me to the location to complete the transaction.
Another challenging part is that they are not available by phone. The local locations does not answer the phone even when they are open, if you can get the secret phone number. What a horrible customer service. If you have a choice, do not waste your money. If you work at Blue Cross Healthy Blue Living - stop wasting all this money. Weight Watchers may have some nice, intelligent people, but it is just a profit making venture and there is no one there to truly work with you even on basic questions. I have made repeated complaints, they obviously have no desire to take care of their customers. Today, the person told me not to come back and said I was rude. OMG! This because I did not care to look at her screen or do her job by coming back on a day that was convenient to her. Again, I have a paid invoice for the next 13 weeks. Horrible customer service!

I joined the three month plan. No points counters, all out of stock for a month. No one informed me how to work out the points. So I obviously wasted my money and canceled any resubscription, following Weight Watchers online system. So two months later after the three month membership expires, and I had received confirmation of the cancellation, but figured I didn't need to keep it as they would have record of this. They charge my account and send out another pass a week later; though I had sent three emails to which they took a week to reply, refusing to refund my money, or even apologize for the appalling service, which made me cancel initially.

I signed up for a three month trial in January. I didn't like the service, so I cancelled my account online in March. I followed their online cancellation procedures and answered the questions, etc. I received a "sorry to see you go" survey. Because we use online banking, I did not catch that they were continuing to charge me after the cancellation. I called them today to dispute three months worth of charges (totaling about $60). They agreed to refund one month, but refused to refund the other two months. I did not have a confirmation number in my "goodbye" email. After searching the issue online, I found that this has happened to multiple people.
The app is terrible, and I found that the new program was not enjoyable at all. There are much better programs out there, and they won't steal your money. My bank is currently filing a fraud report and disputing the charges with Weight Watchers. As a warning to other consumers, CALL and cancel your account, do not use the online cancellation process, and demand a confirmation number. This company will steal from you.

I am a lifetime member and decided to go back because I was not on my goal weight. I started to pay by the month 4495 a month. I started on May 31 and was told that it was good for the whole month of June. They charged my credit card on the 15th of June and said they will charge again on July 15th. It means that I will pay 3 months for 2 months. Customer service said it was written on the terms and conditions. I read the terms and conditions and nothing is said that I would be charged 3 months for 2 months. So, I cancelled. The greed and dishonesty is amazing. How can a company be so greedy? Nowadays all the companies want is to have access to the bank account and our credit cards so they can rob us. You do not have an option to pay by cash anymore. I had to cancel something I love because of greed. It is very sad.

I had a bit of issues opening up my Discover card, I couldn't log in too many failed attempts so they had to unlock my account for me again. While I'm not here to review them I'll say Discover did a great job helping me. But, onward. When logging into my Discover card I noticed that I was charged by Weight Watchers for over 50 dollars. This struck me as odd because I paid for their 6-month plan. I canceled my account right after to find that I wasn't getting a refund. So I decided to call, I hit Zero to get through to customer service as you are suppose to do. I did it more than once only able to stand 5 minutes both times. On the third try I stayed on the line, for a total of 15 minutes, bringing my grand total to 25 minutes only for them to stick me with a voicemail I know they won't call me back on. So I'll out 55 dollars on a 10 dollar an hour job with a 1500 dollar surgery bill and these people just do not care. They are the epitome of greed.
Personally after this I wouldn't recommend it. No one is ever there when you need them. You're better off with Jenny Craig, Nutrisystem, Soza, or better yet My Fitness Pal. You have to pay extra to get help from people with Weight Watchers. Stupid enough I paid that extra without a helping hand from anyone. This weight loss plan is just... It's horrible. I lost weight myself with no help from Weight Watchers. I never log in and I never log my stuff. That should have been a red flag that I'm not using their product anymore. I highly suggest you go with another company, do it on your own or REALLY REALLY think hard before using this service because they're not there when you need them.

Weight Watchers are total thieves. I cancelled my account 3 years ago and they have billing my credit card which my wife receives statements and never noticed charges. They rolled it over year to year without my permission. When I called them I explained that I haven't been on the website for 3 years and to check my login data. They said they couldn't check and all they would do is refund 3 months. The service is useless, they are crooks. Do not use them ever.

This company has become the perfect example of corporate greed. Did you know that they will not allow you to pay cash for even a year in advance! Guess why!! They insist on having access to your bank account so that they can charge your account at their convenience. This is a crooked company now. I wanted to join, but I will not be ripped off. They collect their fee 15 days before your 3 month period ends. Yes, you have to have a bank account and a computer to be a Weight watcher member. This means that poor and many elderly people can not join.

I took up a one month special Weight Watchers MEETINGS offer and was rolled over without my permission into a monthly 'online' plan and without my permission they started to dip into my credit card account. I call that theft. I rang and told them that I never signed up for an 'online' plan, ever. They told me that I did. I told them I didn't. And so it went on. They are like dogs with a bone. I've been a member on and off for over 30 years and Weight Watchers was once a lovely caring organisation. Now they are just money-grabbers. Do you know if you don't have a computer, you can't join these days? What about the over-60's many of whom have never owned a computer! They want the $$$ roll-over each month. Corporate greed. Don't EVER give them your credit card details. Someone PLEASE start up an alternative. WW does things well at its meetings, but the greed is hard to stomach!

I used to love Weight Watchers. Not only is the new plan a joke (it's a diet), but when e-mailed them AND cancelled my subscription online they continued to charge my account for two more months. The customer service person was about as helpful as a splinter in my toenail. She was so pushy and tried to trick me into keeping my subscription (that I had already cancelled). Please don't sign up for this. It's not a good program or a good company anymore.

I have been a member of Weight Watchers for many years. In fact I was a group leader in the early 1980's. The past few years I have had the experience of Weight Watchers taking money from my accounts when it clearly wasn’t theirs to take. Several years ago I was set up with e-tools and money was charged to my credit card. The account closed suddenly and I thought it was because I was not actively using it. However, they continued to charge my credit card. When I would call they would tell me the account was closed, but the charges continued. My experience with the Customer Service Department was frustrating at best. They don’t know anything about Customer Service and they are incompetent. I never did get all my money back.
Now cut to the present. I am a lifetime member and when I set up the voucher, somehow the old account was activated. My primary account has no charge, but this old account started charging my credit card $14.95 for eight months. I thought it was the charge for my husband’s account, but it was for my old account. I called Customer Service and they are refunding three months. I feel the entire eight months should be refunded. I spoke to the Customer Service rep, and he could do nothing. I spoke to the supervisor, Joseph, and not only wouldn’t he do anything, he even refused to give me an address I could write to file a complaint. I was thoroughly dissatisfied. I told him he could view the two accounts. The mistake was visible. It is not like I was trying to get something for nothing. I will continue to write letters and file complaints until the matter is settled to my satisfaction. I do not like being cheated.

I used to think that Weight Watchers was a serious company, until I had to deal with their customer services. I attempted to register through their website and the registration did not go through due to an error in their system. The payment however, went through and have been pending on my husband's Paypal account since. I paid 3 months in advance and so far got no service in exchange.
I contacted WW via phone several times, via email and I even contacted Paypal, no one seems to be able to assist me. Weight Watchers keep repeating that the matter will be dealt within 24 hours, paypal says the same. No decent response has been provided and to this date the amount of £55.95 is still being hold on my credit card. I am so disgusted by the incompetence and disregard of the WW customer services that I will never ever try to register with this company again. I thought their services were more serious and that their customers actually meant something to the company. Pure frustration. I only hope that I will be seeing my money being released at some point in the future.
