I decided to leave a review here to support the other reviewers. Bottom line if you liked the Points Plus program you will hate this system! My wife and I used to be able to dine out on the program eat a little pizza and have a burger from time to time and still lose weight. I told everyone about how amazing it was. Now that is not the case at all. If you're not a bodybuilder fixing lean meals at home, good luck. Dining out is off the table on this program. Bottom line find sites that have the info for the old program and follow it or if you need support find a free calorie counting website that has the same features.

I was charged twice for a purchased item. It was acknowledged there and then and the refund process would be initiated. Two months later I was still waiting for the refund. I then said I would not leave the meeting until I had been reimbursed. This led to my saying I would report this to trading standards and all of a sudden, the money was produced but the leader of the meeting said I would not be welcomed to the next meeting, despite I had taken out a monthly pass with the money being taken out of my account. I now find I cannot go to the meeting or cancel the direct debit as I had given WW the long card number. I have to put the complaint in writing to show the bank before they can cancel it. Beware!

In the past I had been a Weight Watchers consumer. I loved the Points Plus Program. When they changed over to this plan Smart Points I realized everything was double the point value. IT SUCKS!! They need to go back the old way. I am very disappointed and tried to also cancel my membership several times with no response from them online. Holding is just ridiculous over an hour and no one picks up at all.
I also ordered a scale from the online shop but cancelled it the same day. When I called to cancel they said "well we have no order for you". My card was charged! "Well call us back if it gets there." 1 hour and 1 minutes on hold and no one picks up as the scale showed up today. I am returning it tonight to them. But they have no return information so they ask you to call or email for return authorization. This is a joke as you cannot get through and they do not respond back to you at all. Maybe the new spokesperson should know what WW is really like~!!! I am very disappointed and I am using Lost It online which is FREE!!!

I returned to Weight Watchers after about a 1 year off the program. I should have been more cautious when I saw the new and very unfamiliar website but, although I looked for a "trial," all I could find (and finding ANYTHING on this new website is a challenge) was how to enroll and pay for 3 months upfront. None of the information from my previous subscription was available, except my address and email and phone numbers. Then I found that all my carefully selected favorites and recipes are gone.
Next I tried to put in information about foods eaten and activities and finally, after an hour's frustration, I closed the website and walked away from my computer. I HATE the new program and I HATE the new web interface. I can do much better on my own with an excel spreadsheet. Weight Watchers customer service seems to have been severely curtailed as well. Telephone calls, online "chats" and emails have not generated any response. I suspect some corporate takeover. I've put in my cancellation request and will monitor my CC to see if I actually receive my refund. Per some other postings, that could take months - or forever. Beware - don't get caught in this reimagined Weight Watchers.

I saw that my subscription was due to renew in 1/16 so I called in 12/15 and the rep said the best way to cancel was to do so online. Great! I am tech savvy and would prefer that anyway. Well after 6 attempts to cancel (4 using the online form which they direct you to as the best/easiest way and 2 using their online cancellation email method) it was still active. I would complete the entire form/email including the captcha and hit submit and it would take me back to the contact page where I started. Apparently, none of those did a thing.
Tonight I decided to chat with a rep. I got kicked off the chats twice and told different information each time by both Martinez and Emily. Finally, I got to a billing rep (Lynna, I think... I'm not sure since it kicked me out yet again). She offered me a free month to stay but when I said, "No, I just want my money back since this was your website's fault.", she said she couldn't do that. What??? This is clearly a huge issue with this many people experiencing the same thing. I am only asking for my $19.99 back. Come on, do the right thing. Btw: I am 1/2 way through that current billing period and they won't even refund that. Crazy! It is clear to see that I have not used the site. I hate to say it but I agree that this may be an intentional scam. Beware! At least it is finally cancelled (hopefully) but it stinks that they stole $19.99.

I have been a member of WW for years and have been very successful. I loved the philosophy, the online help and the fun at the meetings. Sadly that all changed the minute they introduced SmartPoints. It has totally destroyed the way my husband and I eat. Everything except fruits/vegetables and some meats have doubled and tripled in points!! It is so defeating and depressing. We have been trying to cancel our subscription for two weeks and my husband was finally successful last week, but now they have deducted yet another month of fees on mine. I have tried multiple times to cancel online. I fill out the form and typed in that weird number step where numerous voices are doing their best to sound robotic and mumble so you can not get it on the first try. I have called but left on hold forever, thus enabling them to reach their goal of customers getting frustrated and hanging up.
One more thing, holistic?? That makes me laugh. The chemicals that are added to fat-free, sugar free, blah, blah, blah are so much more damaging to your body than a moderate amount of REAL butter, honey, sugar, salad dressing, cheese, etc. I happily reduced my intake of these things because my body adjusted to having small amounts but I was SATISFIED because it is real food. I was never hungry. I tried this SP madness for a few weeks but became so defeated and down on myself because I was failing, because I was hungry all the time. I have IBS, which is a challenge anyway, being that I can't eat salads, cruciferous vegetables or too many raw veggies and fruits. I made it work! I lost weight! I felt proud! I felt healthy! Now I'm just mad and sad and I can't cancel this nightmare. Thank you for listening to my rambling rant.

In December 2015 I cancelled online, I received no confirmation so I did it again. Again I received no confirmation. Then I noticed I got charged for another month - about 1 1/2 months in advance. Then I got charged for another month. Just got off the phone with Weight Watchers, asked for a 2-month refund, they said someone would have to call me back. I believe Weight Watchers is intentionally charging credit cards for monthly pass membership too far in advance and counting on people not asking for refunds when their online cancellation doesn't work. I plan to file a complaint with the AZ Attorney General's office.

I'm so unhappy with their technical support. When they switched to the new system I couldn't figure out where all my saved recipes and combos (e.g. my morning smoothie) had gone - the online "chat" support was thoroughly unhelpful and then just cut me off. I also tried at one point to cancel my subscription, and thought I had, but then I was charged the next month... I thought I had mistakenly not followed through on the website, but tonight I tried again (and again and again and again) and it didn't seem to go through (no confirmation page or email). So again, I tried the chat function and was talked into downgrading to just eTools rather than cancelling altogether, but then that chat guy cut me off. Out of sheer frustration, I got back on chat, got another guy, and just cancelled completely. I really think they've set the website up so that it's difficult to cancel!
I did like that the new system synced with my Jawbone Fitness Tracker, but I did find it odd that suddenly I was getting all sorts of extra activity points for doing my usual 10k steps per day. And I hated that all the points I'd memorized for things I often eat were now different. There should have been some kind of discount (e.g. one month free) for continuing members to give us time to get used to a new system. Why should I still be paying $45 for a system that I have to learn all over again?? I'm going to calorie counting through the app on my Jawbone, and going to SparkPeople for support.

Weight Watchers customer service is hard to work with. I have called there ~ 6 times in the last six months and most took at least 30 minutes. The most recent time I tried their 24-hour chat and almost two hours later we were promised a refund within 7-10 business days. It has been three weeks and there has been no refund. Their contact system online is not working for email and I can no longer use chat because I am not a member. Beware when working with Weight Watchers.

I tried to cancel my WW account online as WW suggests being the best method. It does not work so beware. You will probably continue to be charged if you try cancelling online. I did not receive any type of confirmation by email or on the website so I called and sure enough it did not cancel. It was very difficult to cancel by phone as well. They put me on hold for over 10 minutes and I tried again only to be put on hold again for over 10 minutes. I finally reached a helpful person who not only cancelled the account but said she would refund last month. Also pay attention to the time period you have pre-paid for since they charge you ahead of time and make sure you get a refund if you haven't used it or won't use it in the future.
WW has turned out to be so disappointing since they changed it to SmartPoints. It is now officially a 'diet' which does not work for anyone for any length of time. It's so restrictive now and is trying to force people to eat unrealistically. And their website and app still don't work correctly. It was a fiasco in December and what a bad time of year to make changes like that in the first place. Very bad decisions are being made. Good luck with your stock Oprah, you should be worried.

I used the points plus system for 2 1/2 yrs before smart points was introduced. I liked the fact that I could calculate pts for my own recipes and keep favorites on the app. In addition, I could use the WW app to find recipes based on user reviews, and I could easily look up my favorite foods to track. When the new program rolled out, I was told everything I had set-up would be auto updated (i.e.- all of my own recipes that I had entered to the system over 2 1/2 yrs). This did not happen.
It was the busy holiday season and I couldn't refer to my favorites or track the pts w/o looking everything up. It was like starting over completely...during the holidays! My "favorite foods" all showed "0" pts until today. My recipes never updated. Because the points for foods had all changed I wasn't sure what to eat until I looked it up. This can be time consuming and I asked for help w/ this at my meeting and was directed to contact tech support. Contacted tech support 2 wks ago today and they said they were working hard on fixing the programs and it would take at least 2 hrs. Nothing changed.
Today I contacted tech support and was told that I must manually adjust all of my recipes myself... That I must've misunderstood! A complete turn-around after 2 months and paying $42.95/month! So, they changed the whole website and we are responsible to update it? Ridiculous. What are we paying for? In addition, WW has changed their fee structure so that in order to go to the meetings you must pay for the online app program, so you can't just go to the meetings and pay only for that. I understand that some changes and updates are necessary, but when you are paying for a service over many months and you work to keep it up so you can always refer to it you just feel cheated when all of that is pulled out from under you during the most busy stressful time of year.
And then to be told I "misunderstood" is just dishonest. I put up with buying a WW activity tracker and that becoming obsolete. I put up with no longer having recipes reviewed by users because the website is all new. I just don't think I should be paying for a "service" when there is no service. After learning that WW can't update all of my points info I asked to cancel my service completely. I was given an 800 # to call. It's an automated line and you have to wait. Then you talk. When you do speak w/ someone they have to get authorization. It seems as though WW has really reduced the real people that you can deal with. There is a lot more automation and it is less personal. I asked for and rec'd (in 7-10 days from today) a refund of $85.95 for those 2 months of non-service.
I cancelled my service completely because I feel that this was an exasperating experience. This online tracking was originally marketed to me as a system that keeps your history for you and you will always have it to refer to. That didn't happen and now I'm left w/o a program to follow. Guess I will just track myself based on points plus and those free recipe blogs and nutrition trackers. At least I will have $500 extra in my pocket this year!

Shortly after using the new website for the "Beyond the Scale" program, the tracking part of the website for foods stopped working effectively. Also, I was unable to access the large library of recipes. I spent the better part of a week, a couple of weeks ago, trying to address the issue. No one could help me and it turns out that their computer issues are outsourced to the Philippines, which is a major turn off for me, so I cancelled my subscription for good.

I am deeply disappointed in the Weight Watchers universe. The plan changed too much at once and left all its old members without support. The website is non-intuitive and downright difficult to navigate in this world of Google searching and online business. The app is just as difficult for this Android user. For a company that has made its living on the back of well-intentioned people determined to lose weight they have done us all a big disservice. The new plan itself is a good move and I believe lower saturated fats and less sugar is the way of weight loss and health in the future. The infrastructure was never considered when they made this move. I want to quit. My meeting is the only thing helping me continue to lose weight.

I have used the WW Points Plus program successfully for years. They changed that program to a new program that just does not work successfully for me. Over the years I had retained my eating habits by knowing the point system and being able to easily determine what I could eat and remain successful. I had menus saved and meals grouped to gather for easy record keeping. The new system started out incomplete and never became better. I don't agree that WW can change the point system with a goal to change my eating habits. I ate well and according to my likes. If the points are based on the actual food how can something one time be 4 points on the Points Plus and now is 7-10 on the new system. I contacted them 3 times and the reply was that I could cancel my account - which I did.

My wife has been a lifetime member with Weight Watchers for some time now and she signed up at her workplace only to find out she was not getting the special discounted workplace price and is being charged almost double for the last 6 months. She called customer service to get the billing corrected only to get bounced around from one customer service representative to another explaining her situation several times to correct her billing issue and she kept getting a different answer every time she called.
Don't get me wrong, I like the Weight Watchers program, it works, but the customer service is horrible. How hard is it to update the info in a computer with correct info? It seems like they do not want to go out of their way to make things right. On top of this issue, a few of the Weight Watchers customer service reps had the nerve to get upset with my wife, that is only trying to fix her billing issue. This will be reported to the Better Business Bureau as well. Consumers beware, and make sure you are billed correctly. No one should have to go through this, not this day and age.

WW should bring back the way the 'classic plan' allowed you to view the entire week...or weeks (since you could go back and see your accomplishments) for weeks or months. Each daily meal was highlighted in a different color for breakfast, lunch, etc. Now, 'ONLINE EXPERT' chat says that something similar is available on the mobile app, but for those of us paying/using E TOOLS...we do not see it. Why not? Why not address this as well? Same thing for weight progress. The 'classic plan' actually graphed it by week, 4 week, 12 week since joining. This new format just lists it. It is worthless. Tell THERESA ** (content and magazine editor) that this new E-tools is NOT an improvement...and she should address it.

I have been using the online WW site for quite some time. I do not understand why they had to make such a dramatic change. The old site had everything available on one page. It was great! Now just to add a favorite you have to load page after page to get to the desired item. I spent 15 mins with the online chat help today and neither of us could locate how to enter a recently entered food. That was so easy to find on the old site. I liked all of the graph options the old site had in monitoring weight. That appears to be gone. Also measurements. How do we enter those? Many weeks I won't lose a lot of pounds, but may lose a 1/2 inch. Weight Watchers take notice. The new site is a FAIL!!! If you really care about members' weight loss, change it back!

Did the trial run for the online services. Loaded the app to my phone, submitted my credit card, and created my profile. That was it. Could get anything else to work. After fumbling with it for 24 hours and still not getting anywhere, I sent an email asking for help. I received a confirmation email right away giving me a claim number and reassurance that someone would contact me shortly. 14 days went by, the app still did nothing. I was at the end of my trial, and no one had contacted me to help me resolve my problems, so I called to cancel. No problem, cancelled right away, but still had to pay for Jan 4 to Feb 4. Why? I did not get anything but aggravation. I still haven't heard anything from tech support. The icon on my phone wasn't worth the $129 and change that I've been charged.

I have been a Weight Watchers lifetime member for many years. It has always been my go-to when I feel myself losing control. Weight Watchers has always been a part of my lifestyle. That ended with the new program. It now seems to be run like any other big business whose sole intent is to make money. I am tired of the leaders trying desperately to convince me to ignore all the bad comments and toe the line - buy more of the Weight Watcher products and you will succeed. I won't touch on the disastrous new online program (the reviewers before me have done a good job) except to say that I can't use the app unless I buy a new phone. It can no longer be used on an iPhone 4.
The points for just about everything except fruits and vegetables has doubled or tripled. No more treating yourself - what kind of diet would that be. People who followed the old lifestyle-focused program lost weight successfully, and kept it off. People who follow the new diet-based program are losing weight, but will they be able to keep it off. Or is Weight Watchers now the latest fad diet. Weight Watchers marketing department - you got it terribly wrong. I think you'll see that.

The program worked well for a time, until I hit a wall in my weight loss. Since I had been paying 19.95 once a month for an entire year, I felt it was fair to quit and continue on my own based on what I had learned. I followed the steps online in order to close my account, but then was still charged when my monthly renewal rolled around again. I then went on and canceled my account two more times, it still was not canceled. I emailed customer service and got no response. I finally contacted customer service through their chat service. They did finally cancel my account (or at least they say they did), but they refused to give me a refund unless I could provide them with my cancellation confirmation email, or confirmation of my email to customer service. I never received any of these emails, because it was all through their website, which is seemingly not functioning.
They refused to give me a refund for the one extra month I was charged for, but suggested I call to speak to someone higher up. I did, and was told I would need to wait. Finally they asked if they could call me back in 4 minutes. That was now 23 hours ago, and no one has gotten back to me. Besides the fact that they do not let you leave, the website and program has changed a great deal since I joined a year ago. It no longer seems as easy to use, and the app has gone down in function-ability.

I have done Weight Watchers on and off for years and made the switch from the exchanges to the points. The new program left me totally confused. The online program did not have anything to assist in understanding the new method of calculating points. All my recipes are gone as well as my favorites, plus the functionality of the new tracker is inferior. I left feedback on the website and never got an answer. Also canceled my membership. I've not read one positive review of the new program. Weight Watchers just lost all their long time customers from what I am reading online. If I had forgotten to cancel that would be one thing, but I tried twice, and there was no record in their system. The matter was supposed to be taken to Corporate, and it was not. BEWARE!!! I saw the ad with Oprah and thought she was sincere (great actress), which motivated me to join Weight Watchers. I had lost weight in the past with Weight Watchers, and enjoyed the support and friendship. However, this online Weight Watchers cost more, and gives no support! To the extent of not even giving plan instructions. After you join and answer a few questions you can only put in points. There is no help, and no link for support or guidelines, just diet and exercise points (how does it work?). You do receive access for recipes. Diet recipes can be gotten online for FREE!!
I think I will stick with Spark people, they provide better support FREE!!! It is too bad. What use to be a great program is now only a money maker for Oprah. I expected so much more, after joining I never even received a welcome to Weight Watchers or follow up email. I am experiencing many of the same issues as the other 249 people that have posted their complete dissatisfaction with the new program. I spent the majority of my day Saturday "chatting" with the so called Tech Associates. The lack of knowledge is shameful. I was kicked out of the chat several times, which required me to start up a new chat with someone else. I would get different answers each time. "This is a known problem and has been reported", or " it is a problem with your browser" or "I don't see this problem in your account". Something as simple as changing the weight metric from kgs to lbs is not possible. WHAT! I am so disgusted with the site I am ready to cancel. On Monday 12/28/2015 I decided to rejoin Weight Watchers. I had worked the plan earlier in the year with success but had fallen off the wagon when I changed jobs. I spent time earlier in the day buying the foods I had learned before that I could eat because I had a pretty good idea of what the points were of certain favorite foods from doing the plan before. I even piled a bunch of Weight Watchers branded items in the cart, nice 3 point sweet treats for cravings, and diet soups and freezer meals for lunches that all had the points listed on the packaging. Then, feeling prepared to start, I weighed myself and then signed up for the plan on the Weight Watchers app on my phone.
It is important to note that Weight Watchers does not allow you to calculate points on the app without being a member. The next day I tried to start tracking my foods and I realized none of my previous favorited foods were still in my saved account. When I went to re-add these items I found that everything was 2-3 times the point values they were before. I tried to find a clear explanation of how this new point system was calculating points and I was only able to find clear descriptions on diet blogs hosted by people not affiliated with WW at all. The new plan is all about the Protein. Hmm sound familiar? It is very similar to the Atkins plan which I CANNOT do because of the way my body processes protein. I can't cut out all carbs and eat all protein. And this is why Weight Watchers was the plan I originally started, suggested by my physician.
So, I realized the plan was something I couldn't do. So I submitted the cancelation by email form online on Wednesday December 30th, 2015. I never heard back from anyone. I submitted the form again on 01/02/2016. I never heard back from anyone. By 01/05/2016, I was starting to get a little upset because no one was responding. I submitted the contact form one more time, then I logged into my PayPal account and was able to find a contact email for the customer service department (that is not listed on their website). I emailed that address and FINALLY received a response saying that they could refund me $20 of the $60 I paid even though I had been trying to cancel from the very beginning, even though I explained the circumstances.
I received a form reply. I responded again. Once again they sent a form reply stating that I would not get a full refund. Even though I couldn't know the points values had changed until after I paid. The customer service rep became increasingly hostile and it has been one of the worst experiences I have ever gone through with a company. Most companies are willing to make an exceptions in order to provide exceptional customer service, Weight Watchers is not one of those companies.

It's tough enough for a guy to attend weekly meetings when there are so few men in attendance. I'm a lifetime member for 30 years so I've been successful in the past. Every time I get comfortable with the "new" weight watchers program they change it. I purchased their Activelink activity monitor and monthly subscription for the monitor in addition to my regular monthly membership. Only to find out that they barely support it anymore. Their new website has replaced all the features I've been accustomed to for a decade or more. They just sell more services on the web without supporting the program that I used to lose 113 pounds.
Try canceling a subscription to Activelink. Nowhere to be found, and Philips, their partner, doesn't offer any links either. I go to a meeting in December and they say that the old program is out and there's a "new" program. Another "new" program? If the old one was so great why switch to a new one. I am VERY disappointed in the company. This is not the same dependable company that helped me reach goal and lifetime membership. Very disappointed! If they manage a monthly subscription to Activelink, they should also be upfront and clearly offer a path to cancellation if you are not happy. Obviously from all the negative reviews, many other members feel the same way!

I have used the Weight Watchers points system successfully for weight loss and management for 12+ years. Now I feel they have abandoned me with their new Smart Points plan. I rely heavily on the website and mobile app to help keep me on track and now they are not usable. I don't have access to my recipes or weight history. I have been paying my $19.95 per month because I felt that it was a good value for having easy tools to use and now they are filled with software bugs and not very user friendly. The Point Plus plan worked great for me, and the tools were better than the free apps that are available.
Now I don't have the PointsPlus option unless I want to do it on my own and track manually. I have been on Facebook and communicated with some of their leaders. Their answers to my questions are canned. I asked, "Why did they increase my daily points and fitness points?" The answer was "You are able to trade fitness points for SmartPoints." I still don't know their logic behind this change. My fitness class was worth 4 points, now it's worth 6. I don't trust that I can still lose weight with this program. When I asked about the technical issues with the website and mobile app the answer was "Change is hard but the new SmartPoints plan is worth it". Weight Watchers has done a disservice to their loyal customers and I've started to look at other programs since I have to start over anyway.

I have been an online participant of WW for several years and very happy with the site. The new site is so poorly designed. It eliminates any points created for foods and recipes. So the many custom foods created over the years are now rated 0 points. The thought of recreating all those foods and recipes was just too much for me. They have the assiduity to charge $20 a month for the privilege of using the site. No more for me!

How can 100 calories from sweet potatoes be 7 points and a Weight Watcher meal with 270 calories be 7 points, something is wrong. I have been a meeting member for years and when I reached goal a few years ago, I switched to being an online member to continue to maintain via the tracking option on their app and website. I started WW on the day the ProPoints plan was launched and found it very simple and easy. However, last month WW decided to make all of its members (new, goal, online and meeting members) switch to a new points system called SmartPoints. It was at this point that I became immediately aware that the SmartPoints system was going to be very challenging as all of my recipes and saved foods from years of tracking had been removed. Everything I am used to eating has changed in value and my allowance has changed too. Much higher than it used to be.
To put it simply, it's very frustrating and difficult to follow not just because the app works only when it feels like it and the interface is a lot less user friendly. I feel forced to change when it was previously perfect for me. I have complained to no avail and waiting for a response from my last attempt before cancelling my membership entirely and going it alone from memory. I cannot believe the company would do this to its members. We should have a choice as to which plan we follow - after all we are the ones paying for the service. They allow members to follow simple start, filling and healthy and SmartPoints but have removed any access to ProPoints??? It's crazy. They should be retaining existing members not alienating us.

The new online tracking system is full of bugs and difficulties. When asking questions through the "Tech Support" Chat, the representatives are unable to help. This has happened on several occasions. The rep tells me that she'll transfer me to "Tech Support" (which I don't understand - as I'm clearly in the "Tech Support" Chat) or that she'll transfer me to a supervisor to make my grievances known. This system is more difficult to use and WW seems unable to help. Adding a new favorite food after searching for that food is not easy - you are required to reenter the entire name - AGAIN. When searching for Favorites, I'm redirected to "Foods". This is just the tip of the iceberg.

I am very dissatisfied with the new Weight Watcher's site. I note many reviewers have the same complaints I have: as I try to track daily intake, it is difficult to navigate between screens. I'm not finding foods to "quick add", as In the past. The old system helped me to be very successful in tracking my daily food intake, and in moderating how I ate; I could easily lose when I gained a few pounds--and I found it easy to track my weekly weight. I am a Lifetime member, but I plan to discontinue my online tracking tools. They are not usable now! As these new changes roll out, I've been watching my Weight Watcher's cost increase, from what used to be a low monthly charge, to a now very significant monthly charge. Sorry, WW, I believe it is time to part ways!

I have been a weight watchers member for over 10 years. I use the program to maintain my weight. I have maintained my weight with weight watchers for the past 10 years very successfully. Since they changed the program giving the user more daily points, but upping the food values and taking away roughly half the flex points I'm used to I have gained weight every week. I have called each week to explain that for people who like to use their flex points for the weekend and also go over by a few points each day that with the new points system that is nearly impossible to do. I refuse to pay for a weight-loss program that I'm gaining weight on. I have informed them that I am quitting before my next pay date. All I ask is that they let the people who want the 26 points per day back and 49 flex per week be able to have that option and for the people the new system is working for they can keep that as well.

I haven't been tracking since before Thanksgiving because of the website fiasco. I logged in to start tracking today, hoping that WW would have the site working by now, but that was too much to ask for, I guess. I went into 24/7 Chat and asked when some specific operations would be working (searching My Favorites since the scrolling hangs up about 1/3 of the way down, Points calculator agreeing with the number of points in My Foods). Imagine my surprise when I was informed that the site was "fixed" - apparently WW is now resorting to outright lies instead of pleading for "patience as we work hard to make things right." After giving the chat person a specific example of something that wasn't working, she tried it and admitted that it didn't work for her either, but perhaps "that was just the way it would work now."
I started WW in mid-January of 2015 and lost a bit more than 30 pounds - I was hoping to lose another 20 this year, having made some good, healthy changes to my eating habits. What was working (along with tracking, which is essential for me) was that the program didn't feel like a "diet" and I didn't feel deprived. I could occasionally indulge in a glass of wine or a dessert and still have an overall healthy eating plan - you know, like an ordinary human being. Well, you really can't do that with this new program.
My normal breakfast is plain, non-fat yogurt (which just went from 3 points to 5!) and fruit, but an occasional bagel with 2 tablespoons of cream cheese and coffee with fat-free, sugar-free creamer eats up more than half of my daily point allowance. I can certainly have a salad for lunch, but any dinner that includes something with any carbs at all will throw me over my daily points allowance, and Heaven forbid that I might like a glass of wine with it. Combine this with the website making it much more time-consuming to track, as well as having inaccurate point values so that you must use the point calculator to check everything before you track it, and WW has successfully sabotaged my weight loss. I would have recommended WW to anyone before this, but now I will say that they are only in it for your money.

I called, sat on the phone for nearly an hour. The customer service rep just kept saying "we don't see an account created or charge and we've been having trouble since last week with the same thing. You have to wait for 2-5 days for your money to be refunded and try again." I told her that my account was showing that I was charged and I just want to login. While 60.00 isn't going to break the bank, how dare a company think it's OK to hold your money and not provide the service. I will never use WW and will tell everyone that will listen to not to use it either until the customer matters.

The changes to the WW online food tracker are so big that they present insurmountable obstacles to current users. The complaints of many seen are, I think, the tip of the iceberg with it comes to customer dissatisfaction. The ease and elegance of the previous user interface were near seamless. One strong user benefit: you could see and manage all your activities -- food consumption, exercise, water intake, vitamins-- all on one screen. One could look up foods from a vast library, contribute to that library, and add new foods easily. That ease of use is now missing from the newest iteration introduced in Q4 of 2015. What we could do with one click, or drag and drop is now replaced with multiple clicks, multiple screens, and a growing user frustration. What might have been an effort to enhance the user experience has resulted in a big step backwards.
I can imagine that what drove these changes were the needs to accommodate mobile users with the limited real estate of their screens. But usability has been sacrificed, and the online app now looks and acts more like MyFitnessPal, a free service, I might add. Clearly, the new UI was not sufficiently tested prior to launch, a big sin in software development. But no amount of apologies from the WW call center can disguise the fact that, higher up, a wrong decision has been made. I, for one, vote with my money, and so have terminated my monthly payment to WW for use of their online tools. It's best to keep the customers you have, rather than go trolling for new ones. I lost 70 lbs in the old program and have been singing Weight Watchers praises as the best way to lose and keep off weight, but after 6 years, I will not be using praise anymore. Using technology is great, but there should be just as easy ways for those of us who don't use it that much. Especially for older people. I kept all of my recipes, with the calculated points on the Weight watchers website. But some of those recipes are no longer there, and those that are can only be copied by cut and paste. When you do paste it into word, you then have to reformat the document so that it is readable.
Also, a lot of very healthy things have gone up in points, such as the use of beans. Even with the increase of points you get it adds up to less food. Sometimes it has less points to use an unhealthy choice, like a light, white bread English muffin is 2 points, as opposed to a higher fiber multigrain muffin, which is 3 points. That's because the new formula does not take fiber into account. On the old program, if you eat a higher fiber item it was less points than a lower fiber item had. This move all seems to be geared to new younger people, while ignoring the people who have been on weight watchers for many years. I am very disappointed with weight watchers!!

I am a medical student and my area of study IS health. I was also a psych major in college and was trained to read through marketing BS because I almost went into advertising. So let me break things down for you: Weight Watchers is a for profit organization and this could not be more obvious. What they say: "You asked for change and we listened!" Reality: This for profit service needs to "shake things up" every so often to generate new interest and money. Most people join in January so they changed everything in the middle of the holiday season (where people are most vulnerable) so they could look fresh for new clients. Basically sacrificing everyone who was already here to experiment the new plan on. Plus the new app does not work. You are likely to be paying for a service that does not give what they promise.
What they say: "Our biggest change yet!" Reality: Seriously? Joining the internet and creating an app was your biggest change yet. But nice marketing attempt. What they say: "The new plan is guaranteed to work!" (Insert carefully chosen testimonials.) Reality: It should work. Why? Because the corporate office DECREASED the extra points we are allowed each week and DECREASED the extra points we are allowed each day to compensate for their "lowered points" of healthy food. So obviously by forcing us to eat less we should lose weight. What they say: "We are now taking into account calories of food!" Reality: Counting calories DOES NOT WORK long term. I joined weight watchers because it represented a lifestyle change that did NOT count calories. I quit tonight because this is clearly not the case anymore. This new plan basically turned into one of the old plans only now they count protein.
BOTTOM LINE: A money hungry organization that changes around how much each food is "worth" while not really making any progress at all. (Picture a see-saw but the net change is still the same.) It could not be more clear that this company really has no idea how much each food type is "worth" because they keep changing everything. Just look at the trend for chicken over these past few years.
Will I ever rejoin? I probably will at some point, but ONLY because all the other diet plans out there are just quick fixes and my medical education and experience has taught me these will not work. Weight Watchers is more long term. But give me a better alternative way to monitor my lifestyle change and I will drop weight watchers like a hot rock and run for the hills never looking back. (And probably lose a bit of weight while doing so.)

Right before Thanksgiving of 2015 they did a system overhaul and changed the online tracking system and revised all their point values for foods. The online system has not worked properly since they changed it. In fact, it is seriously flawed. Many times a day it does not allow system access so you cannot track your foods. It is not calculating foods correctly when scanning. It is not storing your data. The whole program is based on these factors. They took a winning formula and completely destroyed its integrity. It has been a month and they still do not have it right.
All they keep saying is that "We are working hard to correct these problems and stay positive and change is hard and it must be frustrating". I asked for a refund and they gave me a month free. That means they are using current members who need full support over Christmas as guinea pigs so they can do a full launch in January to make a bundle of money. They had to know this was not ready and yet they've sacrificed their current members to a business plan. We all deserve at least a free month. For UK Weight Watchers I recommend **, a terrific site. They do not give simple clear answers to questions such as "are the new so-called smart points the same value as the points plus?" They give graphics of exercises without telling how to do them and how many of these moves add up to anything viable or valuable.
Worst of all, they are pandering to people who have smart phones -- even though it is an Online program as opposed to in-person meetings. I think it is unfair to those of us who do not have phones where we can download apps. I have only a TracFone and a desktop (which I love) but everything on WW online is about apps. Not fair. Not what I expected when I signed up. There is no way to access foods we have already eaten or their points value. One needs to type in every single food every single time. I have been a member for over 2 years and pay a monthly fee for the online-only membership. These online and mobile apps are the only services I used from Weight Watchers and they have been consistently fill with errors since the launch of the new site. I can only assume that it is the volume of users trying to contact Weight Watchers that has made it impossible for me to get through to their support services. They are aware of these errors and have not made timely corrections.
These issues that I have experienced that is making it difficult and mostly impossible to use the site as advertised. Furthermore, dieting and weight loss is a very sensitive subject for many people. The failures and errors in the new site adds another layer of challenges to what can already be a difficult path. This is a direct act of carelessness and insensitivity to paying members. Here is list of applications errors that is preventing me from using the Weight Watchers application that I pay $19.95 monthly for: cannot find or access my saved food, cannot find or access my saved recipes, recipes created are not saving properly and ingredients are missing, created recipes are not saving, points values are inaccurate - had to recreate recipes since they were not saving and the point values changed even though ingredients did not.

Been a member off and on for years. I have been with them again, now for the last 4 years with great success. So why the dissatisfied experience review. Although the program works, until now, previously I have had some great leaders but they either quit or disappear, then they send a substitute for either another district or corporate. They are usually inexperienced or just plain uninformed about the program. Ok so I miss my great leaders. But this week without notice, they claim notice but even my leader today say it is supposed to be a big surprise. O it was shocking how they have messed up their tracking web page. If you have ever done WW you know that tracking what you eat daily is the basis of the program. They have totally destroyed that area on the new page, favorites disappeared, cannot update favorites. They eliminated the healthy tracking of water, fruits, vegetable, health oils, daily vitamin which they claim no one was using!
So let me shorten this complaint with their tech support as just ok but that has totally disappeared when you go to contact them. They attempt to send you to web page that is not functioning. I am giving them a few more days to fix this but they seemed determined forge ahead with this update not so called upgrade and at the meeting day they continue told us they are forging ahead on untested changes to the program. So I am preparing to cancel my membership and move on to other support groups while tracking on my own. Oprah please help!

Each month I would properly get my voucher from WW, submit in my computer, wait for the next due date to come up take note of the $0 balance. Little did I know they were stealing money from my credit card. American Express had to get my money back from them because they refused even though they gave me back half willingly which let AE know they were at fault. Crooks!

Updated on 11/27/2015: Since they've certainly had so much feedback and request for help. Today when I tried to contact them on each option you get a error message. This wouldn't be the case if they tested this website BEFORE going active. I really don't want to be the 'tester' for a website update. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

I joined Weight Watchers August 2015 as an online-only user for a health issue. I needed to lose 30+ lbs. It took some time learning the "Points Plus Tool Tracker" and navigation of the web pages. Most of the time I only had "time" to add my daily intake and activity, but along the way I added recipes (the Tool Tracker gave the ability to give old family recipes a point value), favorites, meals, and reviews.
I have been very successful in my weight loss program to date. This past weekend, WW changed their complete website and took the online Tool Tracker away. Delimited, gone, history. ALL of my recipes, created meals, stats, graphs, weigh-in date/data, favorites, G-O-N-E! I have contacted 24/7 and Tech Support with no resolve. They ask me to have patience, get to know the new web format. Change is always difficult. I am completely at a loss why they would do this. I have not been able to use the new online system since the change.
I have tried to reach out to the president, without response, and to the point that I must decide to unjoin WW. They have pulled the rug out from under me. I am just 6-10 weeks to my goal weight and was looking forward in using the "Maintenance" portion of the program for continued success. I would like a FULL refund, as they have taken away my online experience. I would NEVER have joined online with the product they offer today. I would have opted for meetings locally.
Updated on 11/30/15: Building a new profile is time-prohibitive IF the system retains and retrieves the data at ALL. I keep thinking they will get it together and it will come back, but how long do WE wait? I thought this was a professional acting company. They're publicly traded. Why have the stocks gone up with this debacle on-going? Gobsmacked, completely Gobsmacked.

After 3 attempts I finally felt like I was making progress. The lady took down my info my workers comp adjusters info and said she would get back with me in about 10 days. It's been a month and have not heard a thing. I call back and transferred everywhere including the IT department. At this point I say screw it I'll do the diet on my own. I am not complaining about the actual diet program, as I attended meetings years ago and it worked quite well for me. However, I recently wanted to rejoin using their Online Plus service, where everything is done online with no meetings to attend. The "Oprah-approved" fee is about $50 for 3 months. The problem is you cannot really see what you are getting until you sign up. Sure, the marketing gurus give you all the fluff about what to expect, but no way to access a test page or any short term trial.
The way they get you, or SCAM you in my book, is once you do purchase this package and have full access to the site, you have no ability to get a refund if you are unsatisfied. And believe me, I was unsatisfied. The site is awful! Within an hour I knew I would be so frustrated in trying to use it that I may as well have thrown my money away.
In all fairness, Weight Watchers does put in fine print that you cannot get a full refund once you join. But when trying to cancel it indicated that I could only get $9.99 of my $50 refunded. I even tried to submit a claim through PayPal explaining my non-use of the site but I did not prevail. My question is this: Is it fair to offer no refunds on a product that you cannot even see beforehand? Really, after one hour, what is Weight Watchers out in terms of cash output? Why are they keeping my money (which I have yet to receive back)?

Hi I'm absolutely appalled at how the WW system worked for me. Joining I was told the monthly pass was the easiest thing to do and so easy to cancel if I change my mind - apparently just a phone call away!! How wrong it was. I had every intention on sticking on the monthly pass but in the 20th of June I lost my brother. I rang to cancel (about a week after) and that I thought was it until in Sept I noticed the payments were still going out so I rang back. She said she'd sort it but the October payment came out again so I rang again.
She said I should have been given a number which I wasn't so I was more a less called a liar so this was my third call to cancel my payment. Still no number given and payments still being taken out at this time!!! I have just been refunded 2 months and someone was supposed to contact me to sort out the other 2 months but haven't heard anything.. It would show on the account. I've been nowhere near WW since June so why would I pay if I'm not attending. I feel chasing my own money for all these months is absolutely disgusting especially as the only reason I couldn't attend was through the death of my brother...

When I call WW, they say "it's a glitch in the system" and remove the charge, and promise me it will never happen again. It keeps happening. Weekly. American Express had to block them as a merchant from ever charging my card again. This is fraudulent. I feel sorry for those people that don't realize this is happening until they read their statements, and then they have to fight with them to remove the charges.

Have been disappointed with recent changes. Seems like every time there's a change in the executive suite they change the program (perhaps so someone can juice up the figures to juice up his/her bonus?). One week they're pushing everyone to buy a FitBit (wonder what the markup on those is), next week someone (maybe a PR intern) has discovered "mindfulness" so we decide exercise not all that important and all have to be mindful for the next couple of weeks. Now it's emoticons, and we are supposed to chart our progress with happy, sad, and in-between faces. Forget about the scale! What will it be next, Hello Kitty?
Even the best leaders have become very disappointing with this constant hustling. In the meantime, starting to feel if I reach my goal it will be in spite of the weekly Weight Watchers meetings, not because of them. Consider just signing up for online program (at half the cost) and forget about meetings, which are turning into group therapy for people who are too cheap to go to shrinks.
UPDATE ON 10/13/2018: I am a returnee, having had pretty good luck w/ WW 17 years ago, came back again recently. But am very disappointed and have decided if I lose the substantial "w" I need to lose this time it will be in spite of WW, not because of WW. First, they now seem to change the program every 6 months, leaving my head spinning. Second, they have belatedly jumped on the "wellness" bandwagon, in an apparent attempt to attract a younger demographic and thinking nobody has ever heard of yoga, exercise, scented candles, meditation, etc. Good grief. Yes, a lot of the unhappy people who go to WW probably need therapists and a shoulder to cry on, but I am tired of hearing from them, and think they should be directed elsewhere for their wellness advice.
Third, they have seriously veered off course in basically saying, "It's okay to be fat, just feel good about yourself." Maybe that's how Oprah has decided to deal with her ongoing excess lard, but it's not how I want to deal with mine. I am older, and if I don't get rid of my lard I could have a stroke. To the best of my knowledge, the prizes they hare giving out in the new purple program do not include free home care aides, which is what I could end up needing. Maybe this is not a concern to a billionaire like Oprah, but it is to me.
Fourth, there is very little practical advice, like on food, recipes in the new program, at least compared to what it was like 15 years ago and what there is seems to be aimed at glop-loving families of four in the suburbs. Like low calorie version of big gloppy high calorie Mexican dishes people get at chain restaurants. I'm not interested in that junk (and by the way, those folks are going to end up going back to the high calorie chain restaurant versions) and don't have a family of four!
Fifth, I have cancelled my monthly membership. I am giving it another month or two and will just pay for each meeting (oh, excuse me, "workshop" is the new lingo) I go to.Will just have to figure it out on my own. I am SO terrified they are going to turn me into some creepy 300 lb Oprah like character waddling around yacking about yoga and meditation.

I started attending meetings at the Orchard Park NY store. The group leader was very unprofessional referring to Weight Watchers Int as the mother ship and telling us how he ate cheeseburgers, doughnut, and onion rings. The worst thing was the private Facebook group that he ran. You were not free to post whatever you wanted to this group and he would publicly let you know if he didn't like it in front of everyone. When I said something to him about it he unfriended me from the group. I have recently complained to the Weight Watchers headquarters and will post the results.

Several years ago I joined Weight Watchers at a Saturday morning meeting located in my town. The leader conducting the meetings was of no help at all to me. She didn't know the program and was very impatient with new members. Basically, we were left on our own to learn the program. Furthermore, it was very difficult to get through each weekly meeting because she had this excessively loud, I'll call, cackle of a laugh. It was so ear piercing that I would leave the meeting each week with a headache. It didn't take long to realize that I was wasting my time at these meetings. Other members felt the same way. Therefore, I dropped out.
Recently I joined Weight Watchers in a nearby town, hoping to be lucky enough to get a different leader. Sundays is the only day I can attend that this town had a Sunday meeting time. The leader conducting the Sunday meetings is very good, very kind and positive. Unfortunately, the Weight Watcher weigh-in lady that works on Sundays is the same person that was my leader several years ago. The one that I left the program because of.
My first week I lost 2.4 pounds. My second week I gained .6 of a pound. My third week, I maintained the same weight. At the scale, I asked the weigh in person (who was the bad leader several years ago) if she wanted to look at my journal. I told her that all three weeks I followed program exactly and had even given up rice, potatoes, pasta and bread this past week. She did not wish to review my journal and said to me "you didn't get to Weight Watchers by eating fruit and vegetables." I was so insulted! How can anyone representing Weight Watchers have that attitude and be so demeaning? I reported this incident to Weight Watchers. But, have not yet heard from Weight Watchers. I am so disgusted and upset.

The chat leaders are a joke and provided no specific information. They just redirected me to more literature to figure it out on my own.
My biggest complaint is that I am paying for online services that are not being provided. There are days when I have to track a few in advance just to get an idea of what I should be eating before the site craps out on me. As a person that used to work for WW, you must read the fine print. It does state about reoccurring billing (automatic billing). I worked for this company for nearly a year before I couldn't take it anymore. I was one of the people that would take the calls due to reoccurring billing or packages not sent or not entering lifetime codes correctly.
FAIR WARNING: Meeting leaders do not fully understand what to do online! I have called many meeting locations and spoken to these leaders who are dumber than a box of rocks! I really enjoyed helping members & so happy for the members that reached their lifetime goals, but this company needs to be more picky about the idiots they allow into the company. After several year, I started to gain weight again as I was approaching perimenopause and had not been as careful about what I was eating. I joined Weight Watchers under the 360 program, and although I had only 7 pounds to lose, it took me over a year. I strictly adhered to the program very carefully, and sometimes did not use my extra weekly points, yet despite this, I was only losing about a pound every 2 months.
Upon reaching my goal and starting to add more points to my eating, I gained all the weight back. It is extremely frustrating as I spent hundreds of dollars on the program. Furthermore when I expressed my dissatisfaction with the new programs, the leaders were unresponsive. I have asked if I could access the old WW materials (I had thrown mine away); however, I was told no. Upon speaking to numerous other people, I have heard the same complaint from them. First let me say that I have had some good success with Weight Watchers in the past, and it's not their eating and weight loss plan I have a beef with...but the online program is the BIGGEST disappointment I have ever experienced in terms of customer support. I have a question about whether I entered information correctly to determine my daily points, because I has stopped losing after a pretty good start. I just feel like I have too many points. So, one might say "Just eat less"...fine. But if I'm paying for the service, I want it to be accurate and I simply want to have a PERSON help me figure out if I did it right, and I want the ACCURATE point target for the day to appear on my page and my phone. If I'm paying money, I should have to mentally subtract etc. I want their expertise in helping.
First, the people in the ONLINE CHAT do not know anything. I believe they are volunteers or work-at-home people who get paid per response. In the span of 20 minutes, I had three different "experts" tell me three different calculations for my daily target ranging from 38 to 57!!! Seriously? How can I trust any of them? So I try emailing WW. The responses you get are obviously computer-generated, based upon keywords in your inquiry, because they never really address your problem if it's anything more than one of the frequently asked questions on the website.
And don't try calling them. I tried three times. The first time, I held for 28 minutes and after the person asked me my name, it went to a computer asking me if the information was helpful. No more human contact. The second time, I was on hold for 37 minutes and gave up because I had to go to work. And the third time, I got mad after 17 minutes of hold time.
Finally, the website is no better. It's VERY DIFFICULT to navigate if you are trying to do much more than just enter your food intake to track your points. It's slow. It looks like something developed in the 90's. It's not hip, it's not attractive, it isn't convenient, and the phone app is not much better. There are other apps out there that are so much more visually appealing and encouraging.
The bottom line is that WW is a "for profit" business and they have taken this whole ONLINE thing to a point of pure profit. They don't have to pay anyone to do anything because the computer does it all, including charging your credit card every month. If you have a question or a need a little guidance...FORGET IT!! Too bad because it's a good diet if you don't need any help and it has a good reputation, but online it's pure profit for the company and very little service for the customer.

I've been to Weight Watchers many times. I think I would learn my lesson but I keep going back every time they change their programs. And really their programs are still the same but they somehow change the points. But, no matter how many times they change the points, it's still the same program, no matter what. The last time I went, I lost 3 pounds in 8 months and that works out to $280 spent plus more for their junk. They talk you into buying @ the meetings. So, $280 to lose 3 pounds. Sounds like a good deal for Weight Watchers but, not me.
And yes, I really do keep track of what I eat. I measure everything I eat. I go for walks. I do every thing that I am suppose to do & lost only 3 lbs in 8 months. At the meetings, the leader acts like if I'm not losing, must be my problem. I must not be following their program. The leaders act like they do not even want to talk to me and they don't. I live across the Columbia River from Astoria OR. I started with the meetings in Long Beach WA but it was cancelled about a year into my membership. Since there were three meetings across the river in Oregon, I joined the one in Warrenton. It was a fantastic group, high attendance and the best leader. When after a few years of being the leader both she and the secretary gave their notice and after three months, no replacements were found/trained. On our last day the regional manager showed up, she lurked in the background and never did face the group to introduce herself, explain the situation and never thanked the wonderful leader and the secretary for their dedicated service. Very bad form indeed. When one of the members suggested that she take all our email addresses, she had no paper, no pen. She stated to me that there was no other meeting left in the area since Seaside meeting was also canceled.
We did find out that she did not tell the truth, there was a meeting given to the county employees and they welcomed us if we wanted to join. My point is that the whole concept of Weight Watchers has always been the meetings and the encouragement we received from each other and the leader. I don't want to track on my phone or try for counseling with a representative. Most of the time you ask a question and the standard answer is "I will have to ask my supervisor". Even when I called to get the CEO's address, I got the same answer. I contacted a rep via email to inquire the reasoning behind this policy and was given no explanation, except "This is policy".
I then asked to be reimbursed, as I do not wish to continue with a plan that operates by billing your account 15 days in advance of expiry!! I scheduled an appointment with a personal coach and made sure it was a time that I could be available without distraction. After 20 minutes - no call from the coach. She emailed me to say my phone number was not working and they must have the wrong number - but that was impossible because it was the same number that WW used to text me for the appointment reminders.

Customer service rep ** was a poor representative. Weight Watchers should train the reps to leave the customer trusting their words and the company. Trust, or lack of trust can make or break a business relationship. WHAT HAPPENED: I called to find out about the "Refer a friend" promo that I was told I would receive several weeks before, but did not.
She stated the promo was limited to ONE referral, but that is not stated on the webpage https://www.weightwatchers.com/invite. Weight Watchers should want people who have lost a significant amount of weight to refer as many new members as possible. CORRECT? Why would WW only want you to refer one person? That would limit their ability.
I mentioned it was not written anywhere, the ONE limit she stated to me. I told her that they must follow the terms that are written and that she does not have the authority to make new terms for the company. She put me on hold at least 5 times and when asked to speak to a supervisor, but they NEVER allowed me, a member, to speak to a supervisor (details: 6/25/2015 at 0744 #**).
** agreed to the one month extension, but she was evasive - by saying she would refer it to a higher department. I said. "You, a WW representative, stated that you would give me the extension." She reluctantly said, "Yes". When speaking to customer service you have to be clear and get them to repeat back exactly WHAT THE AGREEMENT IS, OR YOU WILL NEVER RECEIVE IT.
WEIGHT WATCHERS damages their own reputation by severing a long commitment with evasive. ** is a game player, that adds terms and bends phrases, this causes mistrust. No one likes to deal with a company that plays word games. FINAL THOUGHT: There are too many weight loss companies for Weight Watchers to do business with a shady method.
Buyers Beware. Get the terms laid out in clear, decisive terms and double check the statements of the representative. I believe this representative made false facts to me that she could not back up with written terms of agreements. The terms said, "Your referred friend would receive 1 year of WW magazine." ** said I would have to speak to the magazine department and she would transfer me.
I asked, "**, will you be speaking to them to verify our conversation so the magazine rep would be aware of the terms of agreement?" She said, "Yes". She transferred without speaking to the magazine rep to explain the terms of agreement we discussed. If I was to grade this rep it would be far below average. She is an awful representative for the Weight Watchers Corporation. Her actions has the ability to harm more than help.

In February 2015, I signed up for three months at a special rate promoting Weight Watchers Online Program. It did not work for me. I found calculating and entering the points online to be onerous, especially as I travel frequently. I chalked it up to experience, thinking that when the three-month period ended, so did my membership. Unfortunately, I missed the automatic subscription renewal line in the subscription agreement and my credit card was billed for another month that I didn't want, need or know I had.
When I saw the $22.99 charge on my credit card statement, I cancelled my account immediately, and asked Weight Watchers to credit my card since I had not used the service for at least two months. This has happened to me with a couple of magazines, and they have always reversed the charge. Most reputable organizations also inform their customers when they are about to be charged for a subscription renewal. I was very disappointed in Weight Watchers refusal to do the same. It is annoying to be told that this cash grab is set up for customer convenience, when, in fact, it often results in unanticipated costs since no authorization is required.
Weight Watchers Online Program is very sophisticated. I suggest they improve their service by advising customers with a timely reminder when an automatic renewal is going to be charged. In the meantime, let my experience stand as a warning to all current and future members. Be sure to cancel your account if you no longer want to participate. On a positive note, I contacted my credit card company, RBW Rewards Visa (RBC Bank) and explained the situation. They graciously agreed to credit my account at their own loss. Many thanks to agent ** and supervisor **.

I have emailed and called the company and "temporary" passwords have been flowing but none of them give me access to my account. I spent so much time trying to resolve this matter but I gave up. I called to cancel my subscription (I only have one month left) and their solution was to grant me a ONE month extension - when I actually just lost TWO months. I have used Weight Watchers over the years. The old model was you joined for three months and then it is canceled. Two years ago I joined Weight Watchers without realizing that I was still paying for an existing membership. I did not realize until recently that I was being double-billed on my Amex card since 2012. I admit that I should have paid closer attention, but I did not regularly read my statements. That said, I contacted Weight Watchers to notify them of the error and to request a refund. I estimate that I overpaid approximately $500 (about $20/year).
After several back and forth phone calls, they offered me a three-month refund at 21.75 for two months and $17 for one month, for what amounts to a roughly $60 refund. This is ridiculously bad customer service as it is an intangible online service of which I used up zero of the company's resources. Also, twice an agent told me someone from the corporate office would call me within 10 days, but when they called, they hung up after one ring without leaving a voice message. However, in my file it was noted that they had attempted to contact me. They never left a voice message, nor gave me a chance to answer my phone. After writing a complaint letter to the head of communications, a person form the corporate office called me. When I called back, she was not available. Another woman told me that WW's final offer was a three-month refund. I see here on this complaint that I am hardly the first person that this has happened to.

I've been a long term supporter of Weight Watchers and joined Weight Watchers online because it was difficult to find meeting times that worked with my work schedule. I was a member for over 2 years and was overall happy with app then all of a sudden, my online id and password stopped working. The customer service phone number that's posted on their website isn't even their phone number! The phone number goes to Weight Watchers in Philadelphia, PA, which is not even associated with Weight Watchers international. After spending a huge amount of time trying to contact them, someone in Philadelphia was able to provide me with a phone number which was nearly impossible to get through to anyone on. When I finally did reach someone, they were ridiculous to deal with. I was repeatedly offered 2 additional weeks "free" because of my difficulties and I said "What good is another free weeks if I can't even log on!"
None of the ridiculous people that I got bounced around to knew how to fix my log on issues and it was never addressed by anyone and I got bombarded with emails continuing to offer these same 2 free weeks but never fixing the login issue. Finally, after more than 2 weeks of aggravation with these truly incompetent, uncaring and rude people, I sent an email back stating that I wanted a refund for time missed and that I wanted to cancel my account with them. It took numerous emails to get this point across to these people. It's too bad that Weight Watchers has to get a bad name because they can't provide accurate contact information on the website and when you do find them, their customer service and online support stinks and doesn't resolve your problems. I guess that's why they don't want you to find them. Well, they lost a customer anyway. Seems like they're losing a lot of people based on reviews I've read.

It's a bit difficult to find certain things on their list of food items as well. Lastly if something comes up in your life where you are unable to continue the diet plan, make sure you cancel ASAP! They will NOT refund a cent to you regardless if you miss your deadline to cancel by a minute or a day. They are unforgiving when it comes to any hardships you may be experiencing in your life. So word of caution, if you join make sure you are dedicated to the fullest for the entire amount you are signed up, and make sure nothing unplanned occurs that would interfere with your program, otherwise like I said it will be a waste for you.

Weight watchers have charge my charge card for four years. (2011-2014) I discover this last year (2014) when I was checking my statement. After looking at my statement more closely I saw a charge of $17.95 from Weightwatchers.com Inc. I call my charge card company asking them why is there a Weight Watchers charge on my card. I explained to them that I have not authorize Weight Watchers to charge my card for $17.95. After checking into what was going on I discovered that Weight Watchers had been charging my charge card monthly since 2011. The credit card company said they only could refund me 4 months back. They stated to me that I would need to get in touch with Weight Watchers to get a refund from them.
When I tell you the wait time is ridiculous that is the understatement. When I finally had the opportunity to speak to a live person, after some research I find out that my daughter had sign up for 3 months (2011) which that's what I told her she could do . After that she call and cancel the weight watcher program. (I had to get my daughter on the phone because they indicated to me I did not have an account with them). My daughter explained to them several times that she did cancel with them because she was unable to access her online account. When the representative ask her did she have the cancellation information, my daughter indicated to her that she never got the email verification from them. The representative said she would need to speak to a supervisor regarding this matter. I waited several weeks for someone to call me back. I had to call again and go through the long wait time and explaining this situation all over again.
I finally spoke to a supervisor and she said the best she could do was refund me for 6 months. By the way she was extremely rude. I know that I should have been looking at my statements monthly. But since I do not receive paper statements, I just pay my monthly statement. I explained to them that there has not been any activity on my daughter's account for all of the years and you were charging $17.95 per month for 4 years. After reading some of the other reviews regarding Weight Watchers, this type of thing is something Weight Watchers really need to address. A company like Weight Watchers taking monies from customers is wrong. I use to be a fan of Weight Watchers, not any more. I am paying for 4 years of Weight Watchers online services I or my daughter never ever authorize.

When I called to complain they asked for a cancellation number, which their system never gave, so they only reversed one month's charge. So right now, because I have been away and the correct page does not automatically appear, I have to log in and cannot get to the area where I can put in food, exercise, weight, etc. Ridiculous.

I was surprised to be billed for my monthly membership after I had achieved lifetime. When I questioned that at my meeting, I was then told that I had to call to advise the billing office that I achieved lifetime. I don't think that should be necessary, but I made the call. And then I called again and again as the charges didn't stop. Eventually, I had to have the meeting leader call on my behalf because the charges weren't stopping and I was owed hundreds of dollars. Finally I received that credit. I was told that they would give me an etools code to use - etools for free. I did that for a while, but eventually decided I didn't want to use etools, so I quit entering the code. I just realized I have been being billed for the etools. I called about that and they are willing to give me only half of my money back.
I am shocked and saddened that a company of this size/reputation is obviously run by people that think it is okay to steal. I will never, ever join WW again or purchase any of their products. Additionally, I will discourage anyone and everyone I know from doing the same. It is a shame that something that should be doing good for people in fact cheat people whenever and wherever they can.

I was a member of Weight Watcher in 2012. I had notified the instructor I was no longer going to attend Weight Watchers. She said not to worry, she would handle everything. Two years later I found by accident that Weight Watchers was still billing my employer Adams County Human Services for my attendance. I am out $432 in that range and I contacted Weight Watchers who does not want to take accountability. I know when I attended classes because they contracted through my employer I had to sign in at every meeting. I am frustrated at this point and very angry. I feel as if I have been robbed. I feel that Weight Watchers does not want to hear my concerns and will not address the fact that I am out all of this money.
The scary thing is I just talked to another employee of Adams County Human Services who stated the exact same thing. She had attended with me and notified the same instructor who also told her the same thing and she just found out they are doing it to her also. I feel this is theft and they are no better than someone who robs or mugs people. I am owed my money back and someone should be accountable. I feel violated as if I were robbed or mugged. This company has done this I am sure to many people. I tried to talk to them and they would not listen except to contact you. I am so angry that they can keep my money. We were accountable for signing in at each meeting because of the agreement Weight Watchers made with our company.

I went to the desk and told them to cancel my membership. They said that wasn't possible. I inquired as to what charges they would be putting on my credit card and they said 3 months of meetings and that is exactly what happened!!! SO NEVER, NEVER, NEVER GIVE WEIGHT WATCHERS YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER!!!

As a former customer rep of Weight Watchers I do want to bring some inside view. I personally read a few reviews and see how well some people can get quite angry at the reps. However if possible I would like to kindly as to PLEASE don't fully blame it on them. They are LITERALLY (and speaking from experience) just doing their job and/or what they are told to say/or do.
Most information was given to us by short notice. Other information we were trained for. But mainly we always try to do our best. But same time we have to focus on still following the policy.
Believe it or not some of us even cry over the fact that we try the hardest to help out the members we get and still get reported as bad customer service. Truthfully its not our fault. And we are surely not blaming you either. You would be surprised that we honestly would get fired or scored bad just because of the calls we get. Which is HIGHLY unbelievable...But there is nothing we can do but hope for better calls. We could get a call with a member already truly pissed off and if that member can't get his/her refund they would score us bad and we would be consulted or warned or even fired because that member was upset. I mean we followed the policy but just because that member was already upset and reviewed us as bad support we the ones who get penalized or even lose our job.
I remember a bunch of calls I took where at the end of the call I would end up crying because there was nothing I could do to assist the member beyond what I am allowed to do. Hey I agree with you it is wrong...But what am I suppose to do? Make you happy lose my job...Or follow my job's policy..And still may end up losing my job.
We have it heavy where we at and somehow we still try to end up smiling at the end. Some agents like myself would go the extra mile or show extra support in order to help the member. Be surprised how many members I got that were not computer savvy and was upset because they would have to do something with their account on their computer they may or may not have.. But because our policy states we cannot do it for them.. Well its out our hands.
Now for the years I been working as a customer service rep I will say this one thing... It is HARD... Only those who been through it and FULLY understand the HELL you go through with trying to help the member but only allowed to do so much. It causes a LOT of stress. Some agents would even catch heart attacks and such due to the high stress of really trying to pull in all their effort into helping the members they get but knowing that this is what they have to do to earn a living. Some agents have nowhere else to go and nothing else to do. Some have children and they have to come and deal with members who are wanting things that would put them in stress.
My only request is when you get with a rep try to ask them how their day is going and let them know keep up their hard work cause you would be surprised at how HARD it is....

I signed up and paid for a 3-month membership, but was unable to access my account - ever. In the margin of the email acknowledging my having joined was a paragraph that they would automatically bill my credit card monthly after the initial three months were up, and they did. (this isn't something I would normally consciously authorize) Just want people to know that they lure you into a low cost membership, have problems with their website/membership/benefits and will continue to bill you. After reading other complaints, I cancelled my debit card to be safe.

Let me begin by saying that I have been a Weight Watchers lifetime member since 1985, and I think that their weight loss program is excellent. The trouble started when they began selling Monthly Passes, billed to your credit card. If you reach goal weight early in the month, you will never see a refund unless you are willing to hire a lawyer. They may also continue to bill you monthly for the Pass, even though it should be cancelled. Etools is worse. If you ever agree to have an account and have Etools, you will have an awful time cancelling.
I was billed $14.95 for Etools for 4 months, despite 3 attempts to cancel. Each time I was told my account was cancelled, but they billed me anyway. Now they say they are going to give me a refund, but I will believe that only when (and if) I see it. Bottom line, as so many others have said, NEVER GIVE WEIGHT WATCHERS ACCESS TO YOU CREDIT CARD OR BANK ACCOUNT. They will do anything to make a few extra bucks off their unsuspecting members.

He talked in circles and never offered any solution or assistance and even proceeded to tell me it was my fault because I "Forgot" my password, which I did not. I told him clearly that I wrote my password down, and put it in and it did not work.
I then changed the password to a new one and that still did not work. I could not access the site at all. I would not recommend this service whatsoever. They are poorly run and their customer service reps are full of empty excuses - so pitiful.

I signed up for what I thought was the online, month-long membership trial in January of 2014. Little did I know that by agreeing to "test it out," I was actually giving Weight Watchers permission to withdraw money from my bank account every month until I said the magic word "cancel" (which I actually thought I had). I had difficulties with their online site and communicated that to them; I believe on two different occasions. I was not satisfied with their cookie-cutter answer but was relieved to "know" that I had only signed up for the one month.
In addition, it was my understanding from the communications that my account would be cancelled at the end of the month. Of course, I did not keep any of the communications since I did not think that I would need them later. Now, they are telling me that there is no possibility for a refund. I am disappointed that a business would treat their clients like this.

I joined Weight Watchers online, and have been buying many of their products. 1st week I lost weight, eating more fresh things & other named products & I lost weight. 2nd week I purchased mostly Weight Watchers products. One day I decided to weigh a packet of their crisps on the packet it says 16g and worth 2 Pro Points. Imagine my dismay to find they weighed 46g, which is worth at least 6 Pro Points. So basically no chance of losing weight!!! So I pay for Weight Watchers online and purchase their products at a cost higher than most products, and find I am very (and others too) that I probably won't lose weight if the food is falsely advertised in this way. I emailed Weight Watchers, and the response was they don't manufacture the products and will pass on my e-mail. I have not heard anything since.
At the end of the day, I don't care 'who' manufactures them. I am paying to weight watchers, and purchasing products with their name on it. They should be held responsible. I will now be taking this further, as I am disgusted with this and the lack of responsibility from WW!! I also have a sealed bag of these crisps again weighing at 46g which I will be using to bring them down and get my money back for a diet that is not going to work.

I decided to try Weight Watchers for a 1-month trial which I paid for at a local WW meeting with promises of no further obligation if I didn't want to continue my membership. However, in order for me to "activate" my membership and get their newsletter and other info, I had to register my membership online -- which also required me to provide my credit card info -- which I was informed was standard practice as a "convenience" which would allow me to pay for monthly fees if I decided to continue participating in WW. It turned out that WW wasn't right for me and did not renew my membership. On my next credit card bill I was surprised to find that WW had charged my card for another month of membership -- at the highest rate possible, though I had declined to continue.
I then emailed them in an attempt to get a refund for which I have not yet received, nor, as it turns out can I delete my credit card info -- or my personal data from their WW website. Thus the only recourse I had was to have my credit card company stop payment on any future charges from them. Shouldn't it be illegal for a company to prevent its members from deleting their personal info and credit card data from the website if they decide they no longer wish to participate in that service? I was shocked by what I consider an unreasonable policy. My credit card info is now permanently on file at Weight Watchers and vulnerable to hackers, unscrupulous WW employees, IT vendors and whomever may have access to that info -- with absolutely no way for me to delete such information when I have no plans to continue having anything to do with that organization.

I lost over 54 pounds in less than ten months simply by following WW's rules and program TO THE LETTER. And I've kept the weight off for more than three years. So, it really does work, and it works because it teaches you how to deal with REAL food in the REAL world. And, that's particularly important to me because my work as a consultant often means working lunches and dinners, and conferences with overloaded "refreshment" tables. Through all of this WW has given me strategies to attain and maintain my successes. The key to WW success is the leadership at the local level (and our group leader is an absolute wonder in every respect) and the camaraderie and support of all the members in the group.
Unfortunately, what WW has that is so wonderful at the local level is sorely lacking at all the levels above the local. This is particularly evident in their online services. We continually battle features and functionalities on their website that are poorly designed and maintained. For example, my wife received a notification about a week ago that WW couldn't charge her membership to our credit card, except that the credit card number they had was replaced more than a year ago and they had been successfully charging to our card all the time since. Trying to rectify the situation with WW on the phone turned into an hour-long goat-rope and a very obviously jury-rigged "fix" that indicated to me they have what appears to be rather dubious security procedures for members' account information. Then, just three days after WW's bungling of our card information we were notified by BoA that our current credit card number had been compromised by an online service provider sometime during the previous three days.
Another problem with their online services is the overall poor operating performance of their website. Even though I stay logged on as an active tab in Firefox, three quarters of the time I go to my home window to enter my food intake it keeps treating me as if I'm a first-time visitor and activates all sorts of pop-ups to explain features and I have to keep telling it not to do that, only to have it do it again the next time. The food and activity database search engine function is completely unintuitive and will only respond with a food or brand if the query is phrased and typed EXACTLY as it is stored in the WW database (even in instances where the database spelling itself is incorrect); and, foods searched by type will appear with their respective commercial brand names, but if you elect to find them by brand name the database search engine never finds them.
All told, WW's online services remind me of website performance of the sort I encountered when I first went online more than twenty years ago. Think of it this way, I give Amazon $99/year for my Prime membership and their online services are simply great, but we give WW almost $480/year and their online services are severely afflicted... quite a contrast. I could go on at length, but I'm in a hurry to run errands and sum it up by saying that if Amazon ran their online services like WW they'd be filing for Chapter 11 protection in a week. I just wish the WW organization worked 10% as well as their plan does!

In less than one day I wrote them saying I wanted to cancel because it wasn't like it used to be and was difficult to use the app and it wasn't for me. I paid for three months in advance $53.85. I could have also only signed up for one month which was only $18.95. They were having a free membership special. They responded back to me saying I would only receive $4.95 back because cancelling voids the free membership fee of $29.99 plus I would have had to pay for the first month. They said I could do nothing and my membership would cancel after the three months I paid for and would avoid paying the membership fee. If I would have just paid for one month at $18.95 then cancelled after the month was over I would not have been charged the membership fee and would have only been out $18.95. So basically they received my money for nothing.

Thank you for all of your reviews. I want everyone to know because of these reviews, I will not be joining Weight Watchers. I will have to do it the good ole fashion way with hard work and google for a food plan. I think that WW has gotten too big for it's britches and forgot what they started doing. Being overweight is one of the hardest thing to overcome and they have clearly taken advantage of it. Find your own support group through friends, family, coworker, church family. Contact a local nutritionist and ask if she would be willing to do a group session so you all can split the cost. Also do that with a personal trainer.
Find a swimming pool, and plan your meals for the whole day before you eat anything that day. Remember water, water, water!!! If you have enough people willing to become healthy, ask your Pastor or church leader to contact some resources for the church as a whole and that will save on time & money. There is success in numbers. Stay Focused and good luck to all.

I recently received a letter from Joseph, Mann & Creed a Collection Agency stating they were attempting to collect a debt for Weight Watchers. I immediately reviewed my credit card statements and could not find any charge from any company that had been denied. I contacted Weight Watchers Customer service by phone and the person who helped me looked at my account and stated he could not find anything out of order. He then called and set up a phone conference with Joseph, Mann & Creed. I was told it was a bill caused by my credit card number being incorrect. This does not make sense considering Weight Watchers has been charging the same card for over 6 months and as I said, no charge has been rejected. I refused to pay immediately and have made multiple attempts to contact Weight Watchers at various email addresses on their site. I always get an automated email stating it will take us a few days to respond to your email but, never have heard anything from Weight Watchers. It has been 3 weeks since my first email to them. This is not the way customer service should be.
First, WW feels I owe them something, why have they not communicated with me about it. This is the first I am hearing of it. They send me a new membership card every month so, they have my address and could have written me. That did not happen. They send me emails every week to my private email address touting various things to try to assist with my weight loss so, they could have emailed me. That did not happen. When I signed up, I gave them my phone number at the same time I gave them my other information including the credit card they have been charging. Yet, they did not call to say we believe some money is due. I have asked the person who leads the meeting and the lady who collects money and credit card information for the items sold at meetings. Neither of them know anything. So, I'm concerned that WW would send something to collections without first contacting the customer (me) and explaining themselves.
Second, to totally ignore emails sent to them by a customer now leaves me wondering exactly what I have to do to get someone from WW to respond. Should the issue be my emails went to the wrong places, someone could have either sent them to the proper department or sent an email to me stating please send this to blah, blah. At this point WW is about to lose a customer because of its lack of respect to respond to its customer.
At this point I have informed the Collection Agency in writing I do not believe I owe the debt. Maybe now WW will respond at least to their own Collection Agency.

Last year, when they switched to the new point system, I no longer wanted to continue with Weight Watchers Online (I found the new point system far too time consuming and Lose It - a free program - was so much easier, like the old Weight Watchers). I called and the young man I spoke to was very rude saying in a very snide tone, 'Well, everyone else seems to be able to figure out how to do it quickly enough.' I told him I'd didn't appreciate being spoken to like that and that I wanted my online subscription canceled immediately. He was very huffy and said he would do so.
Today, I have been informed that they have continued to take money from my account. For over a year. When I called to complain, a customer service rep, Alice, told me they have 'no record of me calling to cancel'. I guess the young man really stuck it to me where it hurts - in my wallet! Alice would not even go into my account to see that, indeed, I had not used my account in over a year. This might have been an indication that I was telling the truth. Clearly, Weight Watchers does not care about customer service.
My big mistake was not calling back to speak to his superior to complain about his rudeness (utter lack of customer service) and then follow that conversation up with a letter stating, again, that I no longer wanted to be part of the Weight Watchers community. I then should have asked that they respond in writing to say that, yes, my account had been closed I was no longer being charged. Buyer beware!

I joined WW recently started going to the meetings. November 6th I received a letter in the mail from Joseph, Mann & Creed, a collection agency saying that WW turned me over to them. I called WW and asked the representative why I got the letter and was asked if it was from Joseph, Mann and Creed. I said yes and asked if it was a scam. He asked me to put me hold. He came back asked if I was Melvin. I said yes, but at this time I had not given any information about myself. He said it was not a scam. I asked again why I got this letter. He pulled my account then told me he did not know because my account was in order and even my past payments were great (2nd time member). I asked him to verify the last four numbers of the credit card I used when I rejoined at the meeting and he did. I told him that he needed to contact the collection agency. He stopped me and told me they don't have anything to do with it once the agency gets it I have to deal with them.
My wife who is an accountant, who does billing and collections for the firm she works with was listening and said No that is not correct you need to call the collection agency and send them the form to call the dogs off. The gentleman said they could do nothing. I asked for his supervisors name and told him that I will take care of it and told him that my wife will be calling back tomorrow. I called the collection agency and left a message for them giving them WW phone number and who I spoke with and to get in touch with them and work it out. After not hearing anything from WW or Joseph, Mann & Creed for 5 days I called WW again and spoke with another representative who basically said they couldn't do anything but did tell me that apparently it was not processed correctly at the location of the meeting. So I wanted to know if it wasn't processed correctly how is it that they have been billing me since and she didn't know but told me that everything is paid up in full and she didn't know why I would have been sent to a collection agency.
At this point I had not personally talked to anyone at Joseph, Mann & Creed and called and left a message. A representative called me and I asked if he had been in touch with WW and he said no. He just collects the money and gives it to WW. I told him they said that the account is ok and I don't owe them anything. He said that it appears that what happened is that when the card was processed it came back as invalid. I said that could not be because they have charged the card since and he proceeded to tell me that when I went online to update my profile I entered the correct card number. I stopped him and said that I never entered a card online. Everything was done at the meeting and he said that they somehow got the correct number from somewhere but basically the first month wasn't charged because it wasn't processed properly and that I needed to pay him. My wife calls WW speaks to a supervisor who contacted someone in corporate and said that they will get in touch with Joseph, Mann & Creed tomorrow and she will call back tomorrow.
I went to my meeting that night and spoke with them and they said that all they do is run the card thru the kerchunker and they mail them to be processed so it couldn't have happened there. The next day the supervisor called my wife and told her she spoke with corporate and there is nothing they are going to do about the matter and we have to pay Joseph, Mann & Creed. My wife wanted to know why if the account was in good standing and the supervisor said that actually it wasn't. She explained that when I joined the credit card did not go thru because it was processed incorrectly so we were not charged for the first month then the second month was free and we just charged him for this month. My wife asked, "How you did that if the card did not go thru the first time? How did you get the correct number to charge the card?" And she didn't have an answer. My wife asked why is it that both representatives we spoke with earlier told me that the account had no problems with it but the representative at Joseph, Mann & Creed knew what the problem was and she didn't have an answer for that either.
What really upset us both is that WW could have taken 5 minutes to call me, email me or send a letter saying that they had a problem but instead they chose to rush it off to a collection agency. Where I work I sometimes have to take cards over the phone and I do make mistakes and the card come back invalid. I call the customer back and usually it comes down to me having transposed the number but in 5 minutes I have the problem resolved. If I were to have just said, "Oh well and turned them over to a collection agency" I would be fired from my job.
WW really needs to look at how they handle their accounts more professionally. The other thing that really got to my wife was at the meeting they use what I call a kerchunker to imprint your card. You know that thing they used in the 70s and 80s that slides back and forth. You would think that a company as big as WW would have at least a smart phone card swipe adapter of some kind. So basically what it comes down to is somewhere in WW land someone made a mistake then sent me to a collection agency. WW billing representatives don't know how to do their job and corporate could care less as to how they treat their customers. I am canceling my subscription and will go to my next meeting to tell all how I was treated and will tell others I encounter who are thinking about joining. It's a real shame because I really like going to the meetings but I refuse to deal with companies that don't take responsibility when they make mistakes.

I have no refund but they say I can still use the site. I'm unable to use it at this time so why did I cancel. They won't give back any of the money. It is too bad. What a waste of money.

Weight Watchers has a good product in spite of itself. However it does not have customer service. First, I purchased the Active Link and it took me six months for me to get the problem resolved. (It was defective.) After numerous calls and promises that they'd call me back - they never did - it was unbelievable. Second, the meeting sites do not have a phone number. Third, I tried to get a receipt today and it took three transfers and a 30 minute hold. At the end of the call, the survey asked about my customer rep. The customer rep was fine, but they didn't even ask the right questions. Their business needs better management, and processes. Too bad, because their product isn't bad.

On October 17th, 2013, I went to a local meeting and joined WW. I chose the monthly pass for $42.95. My card was immediately charged. I attended the meeting and was given my log-in info. I went home and noticed I couldn't log in. So I waited until the next morning and tried off and on for an hour, with no success. I called there so called "customer service" line where, after being on hold for over 30 mins., I spoke with a girl who advised they did a system upgrade the night before and anyone who joined wasn't uploaded into the system. She advised me to wait 6-8 hours and try again, and I did... No luck!
I called again that night and was told everyone should be up and running by Monday and that I would receive a link for half off my monthly pass for the frustration and a full refund (the refund should only take 3-5 days). I received the link, but no refund. Since then I have called back 11 times with an average hold time of 30-40 mins. Once I get someone, I'm always told something different. The last thing I was told is it takes 10 business days to get my refund. As of today, no refund. But last night, on 10/28/13, I got an email thanking me for joining Weight Watchers... but I didn't.
I have over 12 emails between me and WW explaining I'm done with them and just want my refund. I got a call on 10/25 saying I get one month free and a full refund. I also have emails from them stating I will get my full refund, but they set me up anyway. I called and asked for a sup and "Raul" in AZ placed me on hold for 33 mins until the line cut me off b/c their office closed!! I am now filing a complaint with corporate and the BBB. I will probably never see my $42.95 again, but the time, stress and effort I've put into this is worth more than that.

I emailed and was told to log on to complete my transaction. I spent 45 minutes and gave up and called my credit card company to block payment. I later received an email from them saying they could not process my renewal and I should go online to update my card. I replied to that email stating I wanted to cancel. They said we need more information from you in order to process your request. Weight Watchers is a roach motel - you can check in but you can't check out!

Two weeks ago in Spring, Texas, the Territory manager came to our meeting and informed us that there would no longer be a Wednesday meeting. When asked why, she stated to provide a "better customer experience". Well since when is cancelling all the meetings on a particular day better for customers? She denied that Weight Watchers was cancelling the meeting to improve their bottom line. Well I may be overweight but I don't lack intelligence.
She then proceeded to hand out schedules with a coupon as if that made up for our inconvenience. Her manner was very condescending as if she was doing us a favor. All of the members at the meeting were totally disgusted. Wake up Weight Watchers! You in your fancy corporate jobs! Change your attitude! The weight watcher leaders who run the meetings are the important ones. You would not have your jobs if your leaders did not help members.
We, the members, pay for the services. Yesterday I complained and was contacted by Corporate Affairs. I was asked to furnish my phone number and told that the District Manager would call me today. I received no such call. Apparently member complaints are not a priority at Weight Watchers. I am done dealing with this company!

I have been a leader for Weight Watchers since 2011. I live in a very small community in Northern Berkshire, Massachusetts up until last week when my territory manager who comes from Albany, New York (much larger area) decided that it was time for me to go so she fired me. She has given me nothing but attitude since she saw that I had a tattoo on my upper back after asking me to participate in a Moms and Proms Fashion Show in 2011 and she said "we don’t show tattoos in W.W." I had to go through training twice as long as anyone else. I had 2 meeting groups in Northern Berkshire and when the position became available, I took them both on. One leader quit because she was just sick of working such an all consuming job for minimum wage and the other got a full time job elsewhere.
Yes we make peanuts. Weight Watchers preys on the fact that we love and believe in the program. The manager came to my meeting one Monday night and said I didn't fit the "role" of a Weight Watchers and fired me after 2 years. This created an outrage from my members as I was replaced by a leader who insulted my entire group by speaking to them as if they were her kindergarten class. They walked out and contacted me for information on how to contact someone to send in letters. I am a great leader (was) and these people are very upset. This is where the problem lies. Huge companies do not make it easy to file complaints and in this case, there are a lot and believe me this is only a small part of this.
Weight Watchers expects the same member attendance in small areas as big cities and that’s how we, the leaders get rated. If you don’t stay, you don’t matter even though you are paying your 50+ dollars a month not to mention the ridiculously high cost of products. Anyhow there is no reason for this other than moving me out so the teachers little pet will have a spot. No reasons given other than I don’t fit the "role" and an angry e-mail which wasn't angry at all (I have a copy). So think twice before joining because you’re not just getting a weight loss program, you’re dealing with another corporate American company and they don’t give a rats ** about you. Just read the other reviews before you decide either as a member or staff.

As others have said, if you use your credit card for paying Weight Watchers, they will try to bill you for as long as you live, maybe longer even after you call to cancel. If you don't want to participate any longer, run. Don't walk to your CC company and block (and I mean block in capital letters) them - calls to the WW service center will get you only a runaround about cancellation numbers and missed dates for cancelling, plus another charge the next month. After having to eat one charge of $18.95 called to cancel, they still charged again, even had the cancellation number for the first call. No business should do this. Because I accepted the T&Cs when I logged into their site (to review), I was charged for five months of services at $42.95 that I didn't want and never used. Apparently, WW sends your credit card information to their corporate office, which I did not agree to, and they keep charging you after the initial log on. Weight Watchers online is a completely different company than Weight Watchers meetings. They would sell nothing to me. The only option I had was to pay for a meeting (which was already over and join up) and then they would sell me a calculator.
I have contacted the complaint lines and received no satisfaction from them. They feel that this is fair behavior and stand behind their guidelines as they get no money from me as my money goes to the online people. All I can say is congratulations. Over a $10 calculator, you have ensured that I will never recommend going to a meeting in Huntsville and you have destroyed the Weight Watchers name as far as I am concerned. Was it really worth it?
