Domino’s is trying to bring some fun – and freebies – to consumers repaying their loans

As of September 1, 2023, the years-long pause of federal student loan payments that began during the COVID-19 pandemic came to an end. Now, borrowers across the country once again have the responsibility of making their monthly payments, after not doing so for the last few years.

In an effort to lessen that burden, Domino’s is giving away $1 million in free pizza to anyone whose student loan payments have started up again.

“Student loan payments have resumed for millions of Americans, and we wanted to help in our own little way by using the power of pizza to do something nice for our customers,” said Kate Trumbull, senior vice president of Domino’s. “When life gives you loans, Domino’s gives you free pizza!”

Score free pizza

To be eligible for a free pizza, consumers must first fill out an application with Domino’s and verify the email address they provide with their application.

Each day, a limited number of codes for free pizzas – about 4,200 per day – will be available for those who are starting up their student loan payments again. If you make it in time to score a code for the day, you’ll receive an email from Domino’s with a coupon code for a free pizza that must be redeemed within 30 days.

To hit the $1 million mark, the pizza chain will give out over 67,000 free pizzas in total. It’s important to know that free pizza codes are one per person.

Free pizzas can be redeemed either in-store or online and for either takeout or delivery orders. Consumers don’t need to be enrolled in the Domino’s rewards program to be eligible for the free pizza; however, minimum delivery fees may be applicable when placing orders.

Emergency pizzas

This latest promotion for free pizza from Domino’s comes on the heels of another free pizza promotion: Emergency Pizza

Now through February 11, 2024, customers have the opportunity to get a free “Emergency Pizza” from Domino’s. First, you need to place a qualifying order (a takeout or delivery order of at least $7.99), and once you do, a coupon code for a free emergency pizza will be uploaded to your Domino’s rewards account.

However, now there’s the possibility of getting two free pizzas from Domino’s with this new student loan repayment promotion. The same conditions still apply: consumers must first make a qualifying purchase at Domino’s to get the coupon for the Emergency Pizza. Then, complete an application for the student loan repayment promotion and cash in on one of the codes for a free pizza.
