I would give them a zero if I could. They are total scammers! My quote was $4,900. After my stuff is loaded on the truck, they tell me it will be $13,000!!! This is illegal! Getting an attorney soon!!

Hi there, independent thinker! I also thought I was an independent thinker and foolishly chose to ignore all the bad reviews and red flags. I decided to trust the few good reviews this doggone company has online. Oh boy, did I regret that decision. I spoke with a guy named Justin, who seemed very nice and professional at first. We went over the items that needed to be moved, and I told him there would probably be about 25 boxes of non-furniture items. He said okay and told me he had included that. He then showed me the list, where the 25 boxes were not actually listed—but I didn’t think it was a big deal at the time. He gave me a quote I was excited about. I signed the documents and made my deposit.
Then, on the day of pickup, the crew shows up and tells me: “Well, the 25 boxes aren’t listed, so you’ll need to pay more.” The final price ended up being nearly double the original quote. Do you see what they did here? Completely upset, I reached out to their team. They offered me a “courtesy” discount of $200 for failing to calculate their quote correctly. $200 is about 5% of the total. Very unethical individuals. Sleazy sales practices and a complete rip-off. DO NOT HIRE THEM! LOOK ELSEWHERE.

Called to get a quote - they kept me on the phone for 20+ mins, put me on hold, and then transferred me to a "closer" that quoted me at over $5,500 for a 2 bedroom apartment. There is nothing I hate more than a sales call. I'm calling for a quote, it should be a few questions and then I should get a clear quote within 10 mins max. I had already called around other companies so I know how it goes. This company is the only one that asked for a full list of inventory, which took over 15 mins to go through. The rep, Bryce, was so nervous and weird, it was like he was reading off a script. I know what scripts sound like, I've done cold calls before (and quit because it's icky). So then he gets inventory for all of my furniture room by room, then starts asking about stupid stuff like floor fans, space heaters, and rugs. Then I get transferred to a "manager" and he told me $5,500+ which can be broken up into 3 payments. Excuse me?
This is to move a 2 bed apartment, ground level, 2 hours away (still considered a local move). I'm obviously annoyed, and then he starts asking me what other numbers have been thrown around so that maybe we can work something out. Red flag. So you're just making up numbers, and then "working with me" to "get me a good deal?"
Every other company I have called has quoted me about $2000 or under, and that is all inclusive, 3 movers, and double time for the drive. This company gives GRIFTER energy. I blocked them immediately. And if you're the company and you're reading this, I don't want to hear from you. Don't comment on this post with your fake apologies. They don't mean a thing to me.

My family and I have moved interstate several times throughout US so we have experience with moving companies. We DO NOT RECOMMEND using X Van Lines as the experience was stressful and did not need to transpire the way it could have. Some of the worst customer service we've ever experienced. And very poor communication among their sales, dispatch and moving teams, which are not connected or communicating. Managers overseeing job kept changing as well which did not make us feel assured about the service or condition of our belongings. There is NO ACCOUNTABILITY with X Van lines.
2. Upcharging from initial evaluation to end move (began as $6700 estimate, ended up $13,500)
3. Random X Van lines managers available without any consistent lead for our job, we waited on hold for most of time
4. Unprofessional and ignorant driver delivering items to Oregon with little lead time
5. Driver stated he would park along side of road and partially block one lane of traffic IF Police cleared him and wouldn't ticket. We had police come out to state he could just turn on hazard lights, but driver still whined and drove off, which then charged us a shuttle fee and multiple broken items.
6.Driver did not communicate with customers on plan for delivery (with shuttle), instead, customers had to wait on hold for one of the many managers to discuss detail.
7.Driver complained about just about every item he had to do. his crew called him Napoleon because he barks random orders and is often wrong. very difficult to work with.
8. We are now dealing with the claims department that is yet another separate organization which will provide a response to our damaged items in 90 days!
We would have chosen a different moving company in a second if we had the opportunity.
Sincerely, unsatisfied client

They arrived right on time and were very organized from start to finish. The team handled everything carefully and efficiently, making the whole process smooth. On top of that, their price was very reasonable for the quality of service they provided. I really appreciated their professionalism and attention to detail. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable and affordable movers!

If you are looking for the best service, best price and most efficient, then hire X Van Lines. Anytime I love you can guarantee I will live with them!

Run. Do not walk run from this company. I’m 68 yrs old. Have heart issues, have had heart surgery, diabetic. They packed and loaded my house in Missouri on December 14, 2025. I’ve been in my new home sleeping in air mattress and sitting in lawn chair for 5 weeks with no delivery of my house items. Customer service is the worst too. They never have any information and never call you back. One supervisor yelled at me then lied to me. His name is Carlos. They bait and switch price. I was quoted 8,000. I had sold most of my stuff. Now they are up to 12,600. Still as of this posting nothing has been delivered. I guess next step is to file lawsuit. Run from this disaster of a moving company.

I recently used X Van Lines to move my belongings from Long Island New York to southern Florida. The initial phone conversation was polite and professional and I signed a contract for a set price guaranteed to not increase with any "hidden " charges. Upon arrival of the two men to load my belongings I found them unprofessional. They immediately used a deliberate bait and switch tactic to increase the price by $700.00 and advised me they couldn't proceed without additional money first. I would not agree and took items off load to keep price the same.
The packing was haphazard and they neglected to load the first item listed in the contract (a $1100.00 Weber BBQ ) I physically saw it loaded onto the truck but at arrival at destination, the Weber Bbq was missing. Also my television was rendered unusable with missing legs and power cords. The customer service and claims department have rendered ZERO assistance with compensation either with follow up or monetary reimbursement. This is 100% a case of theft of personal property and unacceptable follow through with the company.

I highly recommend X Van Lines. I recently had the team of Alejandro, Roni and Dago, who were wonderful - on-time, well-prepared, efficient, professional and personable. The team moved furniture items from my 2-story house into my garage and also wrapped and packed additional furniture items which they delivered to another location. Very positive experience!

If only we could rate with a negative number.... This so called mover was rated high with Consumer Affairs. I called X Van lines and asked if they were brokers, which they immediately replied no. Their company did the entire move, from beginning to end. After providing us a $2,400 quote, I sent pictures of what was to be moved. It was raised $500 just to be safe but at the day of moving, they finally showed up at 7:00 PM. We were closing on our home the next day. We were trapped, vulnerable, and they knew it. We had not added one item to the picture of belongings I sent, since talking with them when our rate was increase by $500 (just to be safe). The day before our closing, at 7:00 PM, they arrived and increase our move to $6,450. We paid because we had no alternative.
THEY DO NOT CHARGE BASED ON WEIGHT, AS EVERY OTHER LONG DISTANCE MOVER OUT THERE DOES!!! We were told our belongings would go to their hub in Chicago, then loaded with others customers coming to our new location. We were told it could be 2 weeks before we got our belongings but in all reality 5 -7 days was more realistic. One week, two weeks... We finally hear from them but they brokered our move with a third party mover. When the truck showed and was opened, my wife saw the condition of our contents and I became very concerned. There were items labeled fragile, holding up the entire wall of our belongings. Boxes were crushed and our curio cabinet was actually laying on its back, on the top of the entire wall (10 feet+/-).
There were several items damaged and missing but I will take care of fixing or replacing myself. Please hear this: if you are considering using this unprofessional, deceiving, lying, poor excuse of a mover, please consider what I have written in this review. X Van Lines LLC is terrible. They will steal from you and destroy your belongings. Even the broker mover which X Van Lines hired had nothing good to say about them. Consumers Affairs, shame on you for recommending this terrible mover. X Van Lines LLC, shame on you for lying, deceiving, stealing and for even being in business. You Suck!

I WILL NOT recommend this company to anyone. In my attempt to keep this review shorter, I’m going to let my pictures tell the story. There was so much to say that I just didn’t know where to start. That is why it has taken me a month to write this review. What I will say is: Customer service leaves a lot to be desired. The only friendly one I spoke to was my initial contact with Chris, the salesperson, and a receptionist that answered the phone when I kept letting it ring and ring when I could not get anyone to answer. It’s very difficult to reach anyone within the company. After I book the move, I was never able to contact Chris again. A gentleman by the name of Justin said he would be my contact person and he gave me his personal phone number if I had any questions. I emailed him and called him several times, but no response.
They answer the phone by saying moving company or nothing, instead of X Van Lines. Maybe they have a reason for that but looking back now I’m thinking it sounds a little shady, but that’s just my opinion. I was told it would take 3 to 10 days for delivery because my move was greater than 500 miles. (from GA to IL - 10 hr drive by car). I have heard that before so wasn’t concerned. I WAS NOT told the reason it would be 3 to 10 days was because my things were going to be put in a supposed climate controlled storage in Alabama until they could find another load to go on the truck with my things.
I finally got my items in 10 days and there were at least four other customers’ items on the same truck. That might have been OK, but considering how my items looked when I finally got them delivered, it was not acceptable. A lot of the boxes, totes, plastic storage containers were squished, torn, and tape coming off or missing. Writing FRAGILE on the boxes did no good. Some of the boxes were brought inside upside down. There were boxes that had brown tape where the clear packing tape was used, making me wonder if someone had been in it.
Each and every box or tote that I opened was a mess. Looks like somebody opened them up and took everything out and just threw it back in. A few items were broken, a few jars with screw lids were open and the contents all over the boxes, and there were parts of items in one box and the rest of it in another box. Oddly enough, there were two picture frames loose in the truck. How does that even happen?
It’s obvious too many people handled my belongings before they were finally delivered to me and/or they did not respect someone else’s things. I have moved several times and have never had this happen, especially with the amount of boxes damaged. The one good thing about this move was Ricoh, the driver who picked up my belongings in Georgia. He and his crew wrapped my furniture wonderfully, so nothing was damaged.

They are a broker. We were misled the day before our scheduled pickup. Frederick told us to reserve more space than we really needed, stating that we would only be charged for space used. He said the markings in the truck could tell us how much was used once our items were loaded. Others in the office stated that they could tell nothing from our pictures. We were not allowed to measure or view our shipment until we paid cash on a delayed delivery. They offered us $500 and later $1000 to sign an agreement not to give a negative rating. We refused. One representative gave me a delivery date. Nothing happened. Another one finally found our shipment, still in Atlanta. No firm date. It had to somehow make it to Dallas first, and all drivers had to do other pickups and deliveries on the way.
You seldom representative get to talk with the same representative twice, and then they have to find a dispatcher who might or might not know anything. They brokered out my "covered" auto transport, and that company never made any arrangements. Apparently they brokered it out, and I ended up making my own arrangements, it was open transport, and I photographed the damage to my car. In the end, it would have been cheaper and more dependable to use Mayflower, who did a much more professional job.

Would give 0 if I could. Charged my parents most 12,000 to do a full pack and move from Florida to Tennessee. My mom told them all the stuff they had and he said they were sending a 26ft truck. My mom said, "They will not be enough. I have moved several times." The guy argued with her saying he was the professional and she was not. She tried several times before the day to talk to them and the sales guy to confirm everything and the sales guy supposedly don’t work there anymore. Then day of move they don’t arrive until after 12 with 2 men to full pack and move a 4 bedroom house. 26ft truck and they pack horribly. Broke the washer by shearing off the hose. Broke off the thermostat off the wall and several other items.
They did not get everything on the truck or packed at the house. They demand cash or Zelle of 3800 upon arrival in TN. They refused to drive up the driveway unless cash in hand. I had to get the cash for them because they don’t bank here yet nor do they do Zelle. Brought 2 more guys to unload and paid them $60 each to do it. They hired them off the street in Huntsville Al. Now that they have their money customer service is not talking to them anymore. It’s time for a lawyer. I have now read so many complaints here, Google, Reddit of the same song and dance. Every single detail! My parents had to rent another 26 ft truck. Head back down to Florida and pack the rest, load it and drive it back here paying more money now. Contract they give you is a joke!

I was deliberately low-balled an estimated square feet for my move. I was told that even though everyone's items are shaped differently they would add extra room, for an up-charge of 2 thousand dollars, to make sure everything fit. One third of my belongings did not fit. I had no choice but to leave 1/3 of my house on the curb. My things were stored almost three weeks at an undisclosed location where they were ruined, gone through, and left.
Sunday, July 27th I received a text from the driver saying he would be here the next day and would text me an ETA in the morning. I took the day off of work. I checked in at 9am, no response. 11am, no response. Finally around noon I called customer service, and then he let me know it would be MIDNIGHT. He changed it to early the next morning, but I had moved all meetings to Tuesday morning due to HIM SAYING he would be here Monday. I said noon is the earliest. At 11am I texted and he said he was 3 hours away. At 2pm, when he said he would be arriving, he sent a GPS pic saying he was ANOTHER 3 HOURS AWAY.
At this point I called customer service to start the complaint process. The GPS picture he sent said his arrival is 445pm. He did not show up until 6:40pm. On arrival boxes and plastic bins were demolished and unusable. Furniture that was packed up is missing screws and parts. Shattered glass, dishes, BBQ table bent and will not roll, water stains on couch and the fabric is loose and ruined one bin of items never made it. INSIDE of my bins I found things from other people, they were not my belongings. It's obvious my bins and boxes were looked through because everything was shifted, especially when other people's things are inside.
This was the plan all along, tell customers the smallest size with the best price. Then, when they get there, nothing fits. Here is a list of items they said would fit but wouldn't:
1 Dresser1 desk
2 patio chairs
2 barbells
1 squat rack
1 sandbag
6 kettlebells
8 dumbbells
200 lbs of bumper plates.
Even the man that was hired locally to help said they have the worst reputation as a company and are known to rip people off and ruin all of their stuff. They completely took advantage of me, like I am sure they've done with hundreds of other people. Nobody is this awful at their job. I took 12 hours of work off because of their inability to do thier job.
