Excellent moving experience! The crew was incredibly fast, efficient, and very careful with all of my belongings. They worked hard the entire time and made the whole move out of my condo feel easy and stress-free. I was especially impressed with how respectful they were of my furniture and fragile items. Everything was handled with care, and nothing was damaged. They were also very professional, organized, and clearly knew exactly what they were doing. Moving can be stressful, but this team made it a smooth experience from start to finish. I would absolutely hire them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, hardworking movers.

They were great at communicating their arrival time so I wasn’t waiting around. They were as sweet as can be and really fast and efficient. They even helped me quickly assemble my bed frame which I was really worried about doing on my own. I can’t imagine having done this move without them and you’ll be in good hands with them. 10/10 recommend!

X Van Lines made such a stressful event completely stress-free and hands-off. And they somehow navigated the pickup on Hyde St (with the SF cable cars) perfectly. From the move coordinators checking in daily leading up to my move, to the team they sent on the day, everything went so smoothly. Andres’ crew was fantastic. I couldn’t recommend enough. I’ll be hiring them again for my next move!

They made the whole process stress-free, and I truly appreciated how respectful and friendly they were. I’ll definitely be using them again and can’t recommend them enough! I uploaded a photo of you all to see that my storage unit is literally empty at 30 minutes.

I absolutely will NOT use this company! Very misleading, dispatch very rude (Carlos) and they try to add more money and when you don't allow that, that's when you will see the truth about this company! Carlos come off very rude and manipulating, if you do use this company and make sure you know anything such as a shoe can add a charge to the amount upon pick up! Very janky business. I wish I did not let my things go with these people. I'm very unsettled about my experience with carlos as well as the driver sent out.

      Reviewed May 24, 2026

I was very disappointed with X Van Lines. They say all the right things up front but then it goes south. I did research on many moving companies but unfortunately went with this company. They increased my initial quote by 1200.00 and this was after I clarified my inventory with my first contact person, Chris **. He talked to me about work ethic and integrity but disappeared after I shared my frustration regarding the upcharge. The final inventory guy, James, was condescending when he charged me extra. They can only give you estimates of day of pick up and day of delivery. It was so stressful, worrying about if you were going to be charged even more on day of pick up. I had to call to find out when they were arriving. They said they would be communicating every step of the way. Not true.

When I finally got my arrival window, they did not arrive until 2 hours later after the latest time of the 4 hour window. So frustrating, as I had a 6 hour drive once pick up was completed. They only had two guys and I was told two more were coming. Lie. They did work hard and as fast as two guys can, so I did appreciate Sergey and Alex. Before they left my house that night, their truck started having issues. They were supposed to deliver the next day, and that was critical to me all along. I told them I was ready for pick up any day but that my delivery had to be a particular day. They agreed that it was doable. However, I was told that because of truck troubles, they would not be able to deliver on the agreed upon day. Then on the new delivery day, they were late again. No apologies. This time Alex had two guys with him. They worked hard and were polite.

At no time did any of the men wear shoe coverings though and they scraped up my walls going up the steps. Several pieces of furniture were scratched and one of my favorite lamps was broken. I know the one worker saw it and did not say anything. I just wanted the whole experience to be over with. And yes, I tipped because I know they worked hard. It was just a bad experience. They brag about their timeliness, customer service, and communication. Please make sure you have an exact inventory to report so you won't be blindsided by upcharges. Most companies assume there will be boxes so I did not think that was part of "inventory."

These people are the experts so I told Chris that he should have asked me the right questions in order to get a concise picture of what needed to go on the truck. Please know that your things will likely be on a truck with other people's and this was not clear to me. Some of this was my ignorance so I hope that what I experienced can help someone else have less stress and disappointment. I do not recommend this company, although I think many other companies charge the same way. Whatever could go wrong, went wrong for my move. Just make sure you know exactly what you have so you get the actual total, because they will be looking to see if anything seems more at pickup. You can only pay with cash or money order on pick up and delivery days so that was especially stressful. No one ever called me to ask for my feedback like they were supposed to. I don't think they wanted to.

It was my first long distance move so I learned the hard way. I hope that I can help someone else avoid potential pitfalls. The actual movers were knowledgeable and I think they are just making a living (even though they were rough with my stuff). My guys had truck trouble and we're not timely. That was unfortunate. But the bigger letdown for me was that I trusted the first person whom I feel sold me on values that he could not deliver on. When I reached out to tell him he didn't ask about boxes and that I had some and was wondering if that would change the estimate, he had the chance to tell me the truth. All he said was "It's ok and that he would note it." Well he didn't and he asked if there were less than 50 or more than 50. I said less than 50 and he did not respond so I incorrectly assumed that less than 50 meant no change to the estimate. Do not be naive like me.

Chris knew I was on a very strict budget and he chose the cowardly way out and didn't want to tell me that my price would increase by 1200 bucks because of those 41 boxes. Deception, cowardice, and telling a consumer what they want to hear. There is nothing binding about any of their estimates unless every item is accounted for from the get go. Not every person knows how many boxes they will have when they begin searching for a reliable moving company. I was as transparent as I possibly could have been and still ended up paying more. I let a salesman sell me some swampland despite reading some bad reviews about them, and I paid the price. Please do your homework, research at least 5 companies, and have a better experience than I did. Bottom line? You're nothing to them and they don't care, as long as they get paid.

      Reviewed May 18, 2026

I recently hired X VAN LINES for moving services from New Jersey to Florida and, unfortunately, my experience was not satisfactory. Here are the key issues I encountered: Delayed Service: The service was not completed within the promised timeframe, taking 16 days for a 13 hour trip, causing additional expenses for displacement and food. It was very cold in New Jersey as well, and I was worried about many of my belongings being left in the cold. I even offered to possibly retrieve my things after a week, but they refused to let me know the condition or if they were in a controlled climate. They refused to even tell me where my belongings were and then stated that it could take up to 30 days, claiming it was in the fine print of the contract. Again, this was an overnight trip from New Jersey to Florida.

Poor Communication: I faced difficulties reaching customer service for updates and had to make multiple attempts to get a response or call from a different number for them to answer. I asked for the manager and questioned what was happening and why my belongings were being held hostage, and I threatened to take further action if I was not given an answer. Then I learned that my items were still in New Jersey. They sent a truck to pick them up, took them to a warehouse, unpacked them, and had them sit for over two weeks. I also believe this is where the theft and breakage occurred. They opened my boxes, took what they wanted, and retaped or reboxed them. I bought jumbo boxes for my comforters and bulky items and was charged for them. I was also charged for tape, rate changes, etc. When I called and told them, a representative said they would look into it.

I called again after sending the receipt and was threatened that if I insisted on her removing the charges, she would double the fuel charge, which she did, adding almost another $700 because I insisted on removing supplies, tape, and boxes that I proved I purchased. To make matters worse, the boxes were used for someone else, labeled with someone else’s name, sent to Texas, and then came back and were reboxed with my items again. At this stage, they also broke down items that were packed whole, like a lawn egg chair that was originally in one large box, and then labeled each cushion, arms, back, etc. as individual pieces. I believe this was done to account for missing boxes of items that were stolen. The damages and breakage are extensive. They also misplaced the pieces and screws needed to reassemble items.

To date, I am still looking for screws to fix my daughter’s new bed set. The brand new sofa bed for my guest room had its entire frame broken. The manager was called and shown this. My 75 inch TV screen was shattered. All my store inventory of electronics and my boutique clothing, all high end name brands, were stolen, along with personal items, even bulk body washes and numerous home decor items. My antique dishes, art, marble side tables, all were broken, stolen or cracked. Pictures of everything were provided to the claims department, and they came back with an offer of $75 despite me providing documentation and easily verifiable comparisons online. My garage is full of damaged and broken items, in addition to the many that were stolen.

Pricing Discrepancies: The final charges exceeded the initial quote by over 300 percent, causing unexpected financial burdens. The manager refused to release my items because the wire transfer payment was still pending, even though I had already sent it. I need my items replaced or would like to start a lawsuit against X Van Lines. If anyone is interested, my email is **. This theft and bullying need to stop. The insurance claim process is bogus. I need action.

There are so many complaints about this company, and they need to be held accountable or shut down. As of March, there were over 25 complaints, but no one is hearing or helping us with the injustices we are experiencing. This company promises to deliver our property safely but is instead damaging and stealing our items or prized possessions. They also lied and said they are not a broker and spoke negatively about brokers. They are a broker and did everything I was warned about and worse when I booked them. Powerful and eagerly awaken action! AVI

When initially agreeing to use X Van Lines to move my household goods, the total price was $7,800. At the pre-moving conversation, a week prior to the move the price increased to $11,000 and when the movers arrived the price increased to $14,410. I asked and was re-assured that they would provide a weight ticket, only to have the movers communicate no-one communicated to them to get a weigh ticket. My house move-in date changed from the initial date. When I communicated the change of delivery date to X Van Lines, I was assured this would not be a problem. Then I was called a week prior to the initial delivery date saying the goods were set to be dropped off and told from X Van lines no one had record of my communication with them about the change in date, even though I was assured multiple times from employees that the change in delivery date would be no problem.

Multiple items were severely damaged on the move, such as my dryer which the top was disconnected from the dryer; dining room table which we cannot use the leaf or extend the table due to the damage; along with many other items. When providing all documentation for damages and compensation, the company offered to pay $75.00.

When attempting to communicate with X Van Lines representatives, I would consistently be told I would receive calls back but constantly would not get a call or communication back. I asked to talk with managers about my experiences but would not get a contact back. When asking representatives why they didn’t call me back, often the responses were that they were busy or sorry that they had forgot. I have 8 different documented instances where I was either hung up on or did not receive a phone call back from the company.
