I was pleased with the way the rep handled things. They came out a bit cheaper and they did a wonderful job. The rep told me that she would send me a quote and a couple of days later, I got it. The crew moved all the things I wanted. I collect seashells and they packed them almost individually. They even went so far as to measure where I want this large piece of furniture and called me back and say it fits. They even hung pictures on the wall and things that I had brought with me. Use them.

We've been recommending WayForth to everybody. So anybody that needs to move, they get our advice quickly. Interpersonally, efficiency, the whole thing was a pleasure to do business with. And Britten, the moving coordinator, who we were introduced to first, was the strength of the whole team. To this day, we still talk with her. She had the best sense of humor because that's one tough thing to do. And being so organized and knowing where the tops of lamps would go when they move it in, we've never had a moving experience like that. The whole team was special. When they moved everything out, we staged it and sold the house in half an hour. So, it was a good experience for us. We thought it was a fair quote when we first got it, and it seems to track the way it should be.
We have a lot less space than we currently have and it was phenomenally done. WayForth runs policy that we can't tip them. I got a lot of nice food, but they never ate. They were professional. But Victoria assured me that it would be gone by the time they got back to the warehouse, because our furniture was being moved to the storage, and that was all I cared about. It was a way of anticipating that it would be good, but I did not expect that good.
I talked to another woman that was moving in there, and she said, "It was a little expensive." I said, "Jill, worth every penny. Don't even think about somebody else." They know when to run, they know the whole drill there. Plus, you couldn't find a nicer group of people. And you combine professional ability and execution with people being nice, and that's a winning formula.

Britten showed a true sense of professionalism, organization, humor, and compassion throughout the moving process - all attributes we strive for here at WayForth! I've had good experiences with WayForth. They've been really great to work with. They did a systems change and they forgot to bill me and I forgot to pay for a year for the storage. I called them and I got a bill. We had to unscramble a few things and they were wonderful.

WayForth is excellent. Everything went exactly the way they said it would. It was a three-day process from start to finish. They came a couple of weeks earlier to survey and give us a quote. When it came time to move, they brought a crew in and spent half a day packing and getting everything ready. The next day, they came and packed the truck and loaded everything up. They were very careful with everything. The next morning when they moved in, they brought everything in. They organized the kitchen, the bathroom and the closets. When they were done, it was in good shape. Everything was somewhere and not exactly where it ended up, but they did an outstanding job. They took a tremendous initiative, and I was very impressed. Some of the horror stories that you hear about people waiting months and everything being broken but the company wouldn't do anything or respond. But these people are extremely responsive. I can't imagine anybody else rising to their quality of service.

We had them come to the house. They looked at the apartment my mom was going to move into. They came to the house and said, "Okay, here's your dimensions." And they actually put the furniture in the house and put on a little scrabble board-type thing. We worked with them and they said, "Okay, those are the pieces we can move. This is the cost to move them and assemble them in the new place."
They came to the house two days before the move and they boxed up the things that needed to be boxed up. When the move came, it was seamless. They grabbed the furniture and the boxes and off they went. They took them to the house and set everything up for us. From the pictures, they did everything. They were very efficient. Everybody knew what they were supposed to do and they did their business. They were very polite, respectful and were very good. It was a very pleasant experience.

So far, we've been very pleased with WayForth. We're going to be moving to Windsor Run in early November. The lady that came when they cleaned out could not have been more helpful. My wife asked if she'd work with us during the move. She was so good. They also worked with us on measuring the furniture and seeing what we've got. Also, they sent some folks out to help clean out the attic and get rid of some stuff.

The service I received was good. There was a problem, though. The dumpster company WayForth subcontracted with went to my neighbor's house. I was in the shower and I heard something. I finally got ahold before they left. When I went outside, I came to the guy and he said, "I'm sorry." I said, "What do you mean you're sorry? You went to the wrong house." He said, "No." He hit my basketball hoop and destroyed it. They did nothing. They said they'd have to get an estimate.
We've argued back and forth. The representative from WayForth was with me when we talked to them on the phone. They told me a lie. They said I directed the guy into the hoop. I said, "I didn't even see him hit it." Now, we're waiting for an estimate. It's been for a while now. I want to get this thing resolved. I'm not gonna pay the bill until this is resolved. The cleanout and estimate were fine. But this dumpster company was saying they were not gonna pay. I'm waiting for a resolution.

They were good to work with. They were productive. There were a couple of things that I wasn't satisfied with. Nothing major though. One of the things was they did not bring their tools as far as hanging pictures, so they had to use ours. But, they did a decent job.

I called WayForth on the phone. They came, went over the whole process and told me what it would cost. They were on time and very efficient. They put everything exactly where they were supposed to be. They seemed to know what I wanted. I mentioned to them before the move that I'd like to set it up where I don't have to do anything at all, and they did that. They packed up everything, moved it and unpacked it.

Two women came to my house and spent a good amount of time talking with me. We FaceTimed with the office manager in the Raleigh office and by the time they left my house, I had a very clear understanding of what would be involved, and I had a price. It was a very simple process. The crew spent two days at my house packing before the moving day and took things I was going to sell to a consignment shop for me. They would have taken things that I was donating but Habitat for Humanity came and got those. The crew wrapped everything. They also took some things that my daughter was gonna get and took them to her. She was impressed with how everything was so wrapped and how careful they were.
On moving day, the crew were there bright and early. There were a number of people who came and were involved. They worked all day long. They were extremely efficient and were as nice as they could be. The movers from WayForth drove the truck from Charlotte to Raleigh and stored the vans overnight. And I drove down here and met them the next morning bright and early, and they did their job. People should use WayForth. They are expensive but you get what you pay for.

WayForth moved the furniture from my aunt’s apartment to the assisted living home and the guys who came were super good. They handled even older furniture like it was brand new and wrapped everything. They did a wonderful job and were very friendly and accommodating. In general, the move was excellent. There wasn't a lot of stuff for my aunt so it took four hours.

They came when they said they were gonna come. They were very efficient and careful with the furniture. They did a great job. It was better than I expected. They were all very professional. I called WayForth and we were pleased with the service. The rep came out. She was very helpful. She went through the house, measured many pieces of furniture. She has a better idea than I did of what was what would work when my friend Donna measured all of the pieces of furniture in the house, and was very professional. They took a couch from Donna's family room, a little hutch from the dining room, and a chair that was in her bedroom. They were so thoughtful. The gal talked about, "We'll take some folding tables," and that was wonderful. They chose the pictures. We changed out a couple of pictures that Donna preferred having there. Monday, when Donna arrived, and she was not in favor of this move, she wanted to be in her home, but when she went in she said it's beautiful. With the furniture that were chosen, she felt at home. I breathed a sigh of relief.

We had to move my sister from the place she lived into an assisted living facility because she was at end-of-life. Wayforth allocated one person to manage the job. He was responsible for giving me a quote. He did a site survey and collected what he needed. It was all very timely, quick and thorough. The moving crew was very upbeat and easy to work with. We were in an emotionally challenging situation and they could not have been nicer. When my sister passed, they told me they took a knee. It was a really good aspect of the whole process. I'd recommend Wayforth to anyone especially in this situation. Time was of the essence and they closed the loop. Communication was very good.

Our move with WayForth took several truckloads. They came over to see how much stuff we had to move, and they gave me a quote. They came and packed everything up. They wrapped stuff up and put it in boxes. They padded it. So, there wouldn't be any damage. The moving crew was very pleasant. They took my stuff to the warehouse because they had to store it for a month and a half because our unit was not ready. They knew when we're gonna move in. So, they reached out and said, “We wanna bring the stuff over.”
They came and unpacked everything. It took probably one day to get everything off the truck and another couple of days to unpack everything. They were bringing stuff in while people were unpacking it at the same time. Overall, they did everything that we wanted to be done. We did have damage. Some of the furniture got scratched and some things went missing, but they repaired everything and they paid me for what was missing.

We had the guy in to give us an estimate and we were pleased with what he told us. Also, Leslie was the head person and she was outstanding. WayForth not only moved furniture from our townhouse to our apartment but also to our lake house, which we still own. So, they went to two different places with the stuff, and disposed some of them as well. A couple of glasses were damaged but WayForth replaced them. The final cost was a bit less.

WayForth came, packed up things, and put them in storage. In several months, they'll move our current belongings in our home to our new home, take things out of storage, and send them to us. They really have gone out of their way with phone calls and emails. We had a large piece of furniture that needed to be moved, and they found somebody that was so professional and was able to take care of it right away. Their customer service has been excellent. We worked with Jody, then Shannon came out and packed. She was great. We've been working also with Britain, then Jennifer came out to do the assessment and she did a floor plan for us where furniture would be located.

WayForth had a local representative that could come out and look at my move, which was a big plus for me. It wasn't just taking a picture and then they talk a little bit about it. It was coming there looking at it, seeing what was an antique, what was fragile, and that was a big plus, too. Natalie was very experienced. She knew what she was talking about and again, that was another positive thing for the local people. I had about six items that I wanted special care. Two of them were baby grand pianos and a grandfather clock that they subbed out to Queen City Piano Movers, which I also thought was very smart, where they didn't try to move it themselves. They really had people that knew the industry, knew how to take apart the piano and take care of it, especially with the move. I was very impressed with that.
The other three items were the master bed, antique armoire and a China hutch. It was king size and it had the incline for your back and then also for your feet. So, it could go up and down. It was very heavy. The antique armoire was very big and had a lot of glass in it. The China hutch is very large. As far as the movers, I was impressed with the prep work, the packing, taking things apart, the care with putting things into the truck, even the matting that they put on my hardwood floors when walking in and out and then moving the items. I was totally impressed with the operation.
Everything took place in a day, where they came out, packed it, and then loaded it on a truck. Then the next day, I met them at my new home, which was five hours away. So, they traveled and spent overnight someplace nearby. In fact, this WayForth even had their local people help offload the truck, where Queen City Movers are from Charlotte. So, that helped where they also had additional help to bring the items in and set them up.
The WayForth guys did their work, they kinda split up into groups prepping the work, and then all worked together to make the move. I was very impressed. They did a great job of cleaning up. I realized that if everything had this detail with my move, it would have been a very expensive move, but what they did was exceptional. I've been pleased with our move, how we've been kind of trying to be economic goal with the moves, and overall, that worked out, other than can no longer get a lift gate with a rental truck. That's been the big deterrent for some of those things.

The people at Gulf Coast Village gave me WayForth’s name and I called them and the next day, had someone come to our condo. She was wonderful to work with and very helpful but we said we would talk to the other company before we make a decision. Wayforth was fine with that. The next day they were supposed to come and they were over an hour late and did not call me. They went to the wrong apartment and fortunately, the people in the apartment they went to knew who we are and could send them to us.
The people in WayForth made a diagram of the apartment we were moving into in Gulf Coast Village and how we could place the furniture. They were careful and kind. They were very happy to pack the things up and take them to Goodwill for us. We moved in on April 6th and one of the two elevators in this building broke down. Anybody who lived in the building had first access to the other elevator and when they spoke to us they said our movers were so nice. They didn't argue with them and said they could use the stairs and it was not a problem. We were moving into the fourth floor. So, they had to move beds and mattresses and couches but they still did it. And some people said they were singing on the job.
The next day, two people came. They hung our pictures and in the kitchen, when they put things in the cabinets, they put Post-it notes so I would know what was in each cabinet instead of opening 10 cabinets trying to find a glass. It was just great. My husband and I both said we might have saved a little bit of money with the other person, but we sure wouldn't have gotten this service.
One day, my husband and I were going out to dinner and we happened to be following up the main road in Cape Coral and we saw WayForth turn right into Goodwill. So, we knew that they were delivering what we were giving. The next day, we got an itemized list from Goodwill and it corresponded to the list that we had from WayForth. We were very happy with them. I would recommend them to anybody. They were helpful and if I said I was concerned about a thing, I could just call up and it would be settled in a minute. It was always they would take care of it and they truly did. It was great.

There were many unpackers at one time. And we couldn't keep track of who put what where. In some cases, they put things on ridiculously high shelves which we have been unable to reach, unless we get someone with a ladder to help us climb up and get the stuff. But the people themselves were 5-star. They were diligent workers. Their interactions were polite. They tried to please. I would highly recommend WayForth for anyone who isn't getting packing or unpacking. But I would recommend fewer packers at a time.

I had a perfect experience with WayForth. Right away, somebody came down to look around and see what I had and to tell me how the process was going to work. They went ahead and implemented it. They did exactly what they said they were going to do. There was a small table I had ordered from Wayfair, and I had not put it together. When it got moved up here, I found that the people from WayForth had put it together for me, which was above and beyond the call to do that. I tried to tip them but they wouldn't receive the money. They did a terrific job. But if you want the cheapest possible move, it's not at all the outfit to get involved with. But if the objective is to have a seamless and error-free move that gives you peace of mind, which is what my motivation was, you can't do better than WayForth.

I worked with a woman named Melanie. She was great. When we tried to schedule it, Melanie made sure that the date worked. The moving crew was friendly. I also couldn't believe how fast they were. The whole thing was done in three hours. It was unbelievable. We had no issues too. Nothing was damaged. It was all professional. They did a good job. We're happy with it. It was a good experience. I'd recommend WayForth.

I had used WayForth a couple of times in the past and was very happy with their service. I had them on behalf of my mother who was living in Virginia Beach at the time, and we moved her to where I live, in Richmond. A few years later, after she passed away, they moved her stuff back into her house, which we ended up keeping. At the time, it was the predecessor company, Door to Door Solutions, which was the company WayForth acquired.
Recently, I had them here for about an hour. This was such a small job, but it was very helpful. I'm having floors refurnished in my house and I'm retired and neither my husband nor I are as strong as we used to be. I had unloaded everything so the young men didn't have to do any packing. All they had to do was move the really big heavy pieces of furniture out of the rooms that the floors were in into some other rooms. They were very careful in how they did it, and respectful of the space and the furniture, but I would have expected that of them. They'll come back in another month and move everything back.

WayForth has a piece of my furniture that they're working on. The rep called me to let me know they were gonna refer it out to another partner for refinishing. Otherwise, everything is great. I am referring them to our clients. Our rep, Jennifer, is awesome. She's been the contact that we've been using for our clients. It was good to see it all in action with my own move. The moving crew was three guys and they were very professional, on time and focused on getting the move done in a timely manner. I was happy. The only thing next time is I'm having them pack it all and unpack it.

Cheryl who was our person on-site was always there supervising the people doing the packing. She was very good supervising them. WayForth delivered in good shape. I had no breakage. They did a good job of putting things back. I had a lot of stuff and they managed to find a place to stick it. When I walked into my apartment, it looked very neat and tidy.

Our experience with WayForth was very good. We had a short amount of time because my father had died, and he has five children so we needed to move quickly to empty his apartment out in order to avoid paying for another month. He lived in a very nice retirement community. So WayForth came. The agent that worked with us was Lee and he was wonderful. We went through the process because we had three separate moves, and he handled it very nicely.
My husband and I live in Gainesville, Georgia, and we went back for the pack-out in North Carolina, then we were here when they brought my father's stuff to our house. It was the same men that had helped pack us out, and they were very friendly and courteous. They knew what they were doing. My daughter is moving from Atlanta to Gainesville, and I told her WayForth is really good. They did a very nice job, and it worked out great. They still have to move both my sisters, and they're waiting until my sisters say they're ready for it all. One lives in San Diego, and the other lives in Seattle, and they have to take their stuff from Raleigh-Durham.

We understand that this was an emotionally difficult time for your family and that it is our duty as professionals in the business of relocation and estate services to bring understanding and compassion around such events. WayForth is a good company. They are very hands-on. They came over, I told them when I needed their service, and all of them had a good attitude. They were very efficient. They packed my furniture and moved us an hour away. We met them at the house, they unloaded our things, they set them up, and it was simple. It was very positive, timely and worth the money.

We had WayForth come out. They don't just do moving. They look at the size of your apartment, at what furniture you have, and tell you what will fit. They outlined the timeframe and stuck to it. Avery Point, the senior living community we moved to, gave us the move-in date, the 17th of March. We had to have the moving van there at 8:30 in the morning, and there would be an elevator available. They coordinated that based on that move-in date. Another feature they offer is they would pick up the furniture you don't want, take it to an auction company, and it would be auctioned off. The auction company takes a certain percent, and you get what is left over.
The crew was very courteous. We even had a piece of furniture that was shipped to our old house, and it had to be assembled. They told us, “Don't worry about it. We'll ship it to your new apartment and we'll assemble it for you.” They were very accommodating. I would highly recommend them. They didn't put the frame correctly on our king size bed, and it wasn't adjusted right. But they came back and took it apart, and did it right. So, they stand behind their products. We've heard other people that used WayForth, that if something was damaged, they reimburse them for it.

WayForth is a great company. They were fabulous, helpful and receptive. They were on time. They came in and emptied all of the stuff out of the apartment that we needed to go. They took a handful of things and put them in storage for us to hold for my dad. It was great. I could never have done it on my own. Very happy with them. If you're using elder care or you're moving to downsize, Wayforth should be somebody you absolutely talk to.

My parents were moving into assisted living and I was moving them out. WayForth was recommended by the place that I was moving out of and moving into. It was very easy setting up the service and they were very accommodating. The quote I was given was high but they were doing a lot of services, so I was okay with it.
The moving crew was courteous and they did a great job. They packed up everything and they were very efficient. They labeled everything for my parents when they unpacked. My parents moved in right after they completed the job. I was there for the completion and they did a very good job. I would highly recommend WayForth.

I liked the phone call they gave me. They asked to do an in person at no charge walk through to look at all my stuff, which was cool. When I met with them in person, they seem like very normal friendly people. We did the walkthrough and so I felt that their quote was really accurate since they seen all my stuff. The cost was excellent. Anyone else would have charged me a lot more. The moving crew was really good. They were really accessible to communicate with. They were on time. They worked really hard. They seemed to be careful with my items.

Scheduling with WayForth went smoothly and I was pleased with it. There's damage to my wall from moving the bed from upstairs where maybe one of the headboards fell against the wall. Other than that, everything was fine and everyone was very cordial, kind and patient. Linette was spectacular. When I got over to my husband's room in Paramount, she had everything set up. She had a maintenance guy that works for Paramount in there hanging the pictures. I packed the things, and then Linette did his clothing that hangs in the closet. She put that in clothing bags. Overall, I would recommend people to check things out, which I did not do. I know they would have made good for the damage that was done. It's not extreme, but it is noticeable. I would recommend WayForth because they're quick, thorough, and very easy to work with.

WayForth was recommended by the senior facility where my parents moved and by the consultants who used to find the senior facility. They frequently move people into the senior facility so they were at the top of the list and recommended as a sort of soup to nuts provider. John was the one who moved my parents and he was great. He stuck with the project from beginning to end, including the final cleanup, which entailed having the auction house, pick up the items that my parents couldn't use and were being sold, and everything else they disposed of. He was very communicative and hands-on.
The crew that did the boxing and the moving were all great too. The individuals who came the day before the move and boxed up were extremely helpful and communicative with my mother. They were careful. A few small things broke, but these are minor things like little pitchers. The reality is there was a lot of stuff. To have a handle break off a small little pitcher is not a big deal. The crew that came and did the move and then moved my parents into their different apartments at the senior facility were top-notch too. They were friendly and understood the urgency of everything.
The experience was top-notch from beginning to end. WayForth was very upfront about what the process was going to be and what the likely costs were going to be. They actually came in a little bit under the initial estimate so I was extremely satisfied and more importantly, so was my mother because she was the actual customer.

WayForth was so wonderful. They were recommended by the senior living facility where my mother is and where she was going to be moved. My mother was moving from independent living to assisted living and she's not entirely well, both physically and mentally. My sisters and I all live out of town. So, we had to coordinate from a distance, but they were very helpful. Brandi was willing to meet with me on a Saturday, which was lovely. We went through and she got the lay of the land to figure out how much stuff was there, how heavy it would be, how much of it was fragile, and all the things that movers internalize when they look at and price out a job.
We then had to figure out what was going to fit in her smaller space. So, after Brandi came and looked at that, we did some measuring and said, “Okay, here are the things that are going to be moved, but I'm not sure where everything else is gonna go. And I don't know how to handle that.” She said, “Well, you know, what we could do is an extraction, where basically, we take out the things that are going to be moved to the apartment and just extract it like you would choose and then leave the rest of it there." I said, “Oh, God, that is so great. Because otherwise, there's no way I'm gonna be able to figure out where everything else is gonna go.” So, she gave me a really good solution for sort of breaking down and phasing the move so that my brain didn't explode. She gave us a quote.
We met with the moving crew on the day of the move. My sisters and I divided up. They were on the sending end and I was down on the receiving end. So, I did not see them when they packed up, but I saw them as they brought down and moved things in. My sisters were happy with the whole thing. On my end, everything was great. They were very careful. They knew what they were doing in terms of how they would wrap it. They have these big things like big rubber bands. They were making sure that things didn't scrape up against door jams. There's a mechanical bed that had to be taken apart and put back together. It's one of these things that you can press and it bends you up. They figured out all the assembly and disassembly and reassembly for that. They were able to take the stuff apart that had to come apart and put it back together on the receiving end.
My mother was being kind of difficult that day, and she was moving against her will. The movers were incredibly discreet and low-key. They read the room and said, “You know, we need to be quiet, we need to be in and out carefully, gently. You know, this is a volatile situation with the mother and we're not going to do anything to exacerbate that,” which was great. So, they were very cognizant of the psychosocial dynamics going on in the room and were great with that. I’m very happy about that whole thing.
WayForth did the extraction and then we went back, and there were a couple of items that were going to go to my sisters and me in various places. They went back. They got access. They were willing to work with the facility to get access so that I didn't have to come back up, but I sent them photographs and said, “Pick up these three things and this is where they're going.” They're still holding two things right now because they're single items that are going out to the Midwest, and Brandi is working really hard to try to get me the best deal she can because it's expensive when you only ship one thing and it's outside of the service area. It's been kind of a crazy thing, but they made everything really easy. They did a great job. I can't say enough good things about them. They were really remarkable.

I called WayForth and then Aaron came out to where I lived and did an assessment. We talked for a while and then she did a drawing plan based on the unit that I was gonna take. It was a one bedroom with a den unit. I signed the contract and gave a downpayment of $1,500. So that was all set. This was all around the middle of December and my move date was the end of February. I didn't have that much. So they said easily it was one day packing and moving. If I needed anything else, they could have the other one, which would be helping me unpack, get things to the apartment, and take the boxes away. The estimate they gave me based on what I needed was somewhere between $4,000 and $6,000. They gave me the plan. But right away, I said that there was gonna be a problem because the plan they took wasn't the unit I was gonna get. It was like the unit, but it was flipped. They said, “Oh, well, doesn't make any difference.”
When I was bringing things over like my plant and a few other personal items, I looked at what the floor plan was and realized that it wasn't gonna work. The den was fairly small, and it had a day bed. The wall they showed me where it was gonna be was too tight. It needed to go on the opposite wall. The couch and a bookcase were gonna go beyond the length of the wall. So nothing was measured out. When somebody came to do a pre-move thing, I mentioned some of the ways that things were laid out that may not really work when we get in there. He said it was no problem and that they could move things around. That sort of raised a bit of a red flag.
They called me up the day they were gonna come in and do the packing. They said they hit some very bad traffic and that they were running late but they would be there. They were supposed to be there before 9:00 and they got there about quarter to 10:00. I was there for a while, but about five people were there and it was much too crowded. We talked a little bit and I said, “Well, I'm gonna clear out ‘cause I'm only gonna be in your way. And I'll check back with you.” So, I went out, and did a few things. I was sitting in Starbucks enjoying my chai when I got a call. This was about 1:30. He said, “Oh, we're done. And they’re asking me, do you want us to lock your door, the door handle?” I said, “You're really done?” He said, “No. No. Everything’s done.” They left my bed made and left one or two things out for me that they would pick up in the morning. So, it took them half a day to do the packing.
The next morning, they were supposed to show up at 9:00. Again, I got a call saying that they hit an accident and that they were gonna be running a little late. So, I said, “Yeah. Okay. No problem.” They got there again quarter to 10:00. But both the packing and the moving crews were very, very efficient. They had to take the day bed that was assembled by an Ikea person. I mentioned to the guy who was managing that, “I don't think that the day bed is gonna fit on this short wall. I think it’s gonna be a little too long. It needs to really go on the other wall.” He said, “Okay.”
They simply followed the plan that had been made out. Then all of a sudden, I heard screams, “Helen, Helen, come here and look at this.” So, he had about halfway assembled the day bed, and it was too long for the wall. I said, “I’ve been saying all along it's not gonna fit this wall.” I told him it needed to go on the other wall. He said, “Well, I don't know with that wall because the closet was at the end. If the closet doors come out, they're gonna maybe hit the bed.” I said, “Well, let's just measure. Measure the bed and let's measure the wall.” But nobody had a tape measure. I said, “I've got a very good toolbox. Will somebody find my toolbox? I've got several really good tape measures in there.”
They found the toolbox right away, and pulled out a tape measure. It worked perfectly on the other wall. We had over a foot to spare and the doors could go open with no problem. So, they disassembled the bed. I said, “Don't do any more assembly until we find out the measurement because you're only gonna have to, I think, disassemble it.” So, then he put it on to the wall. But everything was finished. The guys left at about 5 o'clock. Overall, they did a great job.
The guy who was managing the move asked me, “Do you need us back to help you unpack and get rid of the boxes?” I said, “No, I really don't.” I could move the other furniture more or less where it was. The only thing I wouldn't have been able to move would have been the day bed. He asked about the boxes and I told him, “Well, I'll just disassemble the boxes. I'll break them down and I'll put them in the trash room a little bit each day so it doesn't overwhelm anybody or do any blockage in the trash room.” Then he said, “I’ll check with you tomorrow and see if you need us out here again.” I said, “I really doubt it.” But he called the next day and asked me how I was doing, and I said, “I'm doing fine. I'm disassembling the boxes.”
The initial estimate was between $4,000 and $6,000. I assumed when I gave the guy the check, that was it because they never came back. He called the next day and asked if I needed anything. I said, “No,” and never heard anything. But a couple of days ago, I got a call from WayForth that said, “Oh, we sent you a bill, and you haven't paid it.” I said, “Well, I paid the down payment. I paid the last thing when everything was done.” Then they said, “Oh, well. No. That was just a progress payment.”
I told them that a progress payment means there's more work to be done. But there's no more work to be done here. I also told him that when I checked with their guy, that was the end of the work and everything had been done. They said, “Well, no. Look on your email. We sent you an earlier email.” I said, “Well, I never received the earlier email.” So I looked at the email, and I saw they were charging me another. Out of the $4,500 I'd already paid, they wanted another $2,700. It was crazy.
This was a move that took a day and a half. There were no complications. I completely disassembled everything, including the boxes, and put them all in. I moved across the country twice, and my cost was half the amount that WayForth wanted for a 14-mile move. I very rarely dispute bills but this was absurd. They said, “We’ll get back to you.” They came back and said, “Well, we're gonna knock $500 off.” I told them that was still unacceptable. I said, “Listen, I'm gonna cost some things back.” Because the way they broke it down, nothing was by hour or by labor rate. So I broke it down by the amount of people and time, and then I came up on a very high side with 50% in there for direct costs, and 50% in indirect costs. I came out with a high bill of $4,500, which was exactly what I paid. So I have some real bones to pick with the way the bidding and the billing were done.

WayForth moved us out of the house, in the storage, and this coming Saturday, they'll move us out of storage and move us here. It's a good company to work with. Our primary contact has been extremely helpful and cooperative. We're also very pleased with the crew that came to move us out of the house. My wife and I are elderly and we can't lift and carry stuff. Sometimes they would move some stuff around for us that wasn't part of the move. It was a nice experience.

My mother-in-law moved into independent living, and that facility highly recommended WayForth. They came out and explained everything very thoroughly what they could do. We were very impressed with them. They got in here exactly at the time they said they would. The women that were here that were packing were professional. It only took them two hours to do everything they needed to do to get the things where I wanted it to. The three guys that were here moving were very mindful and respectful of everything. We got there, and not one thing was broken. They were great. I highly recommend them.

The team at WayForth was very knowledgeable of what works out here at Ashby Ponds. They came to the house a couple of times. It was very nice. They were all good people and the price was right. There was one little table that had its leg broken, but they went out and fixed it right away so there wasn't any problem.

Setting up with WayForth was a great experience. They were very customer-friendly and helpful. There was a project manager who came to the house and evaluated everything and gave us suggestions. Then, the team came to pack up the things. On the first move, two-thirds of the things went into storage and the rest went with us to our temporary housing. On the second move, several months later, the team came to evaluate and pack up and then, they helped deliver. Everything was great. It was very smooth, and there were good staff and good communication between them. They cleaned everything. They removed all the packaging and helped unpack. So overall, it was excellent.

WayForth gave us personal attention and really listened to our needs in our move. They were willing to do every nitty gritty thing which was a big help. They were very friendly and felt like our best friends throughout the move. Their attention to detail was a little bit too detailed for a move from one building to the building next door. The move took a lot longer than I anticipated and was a little more expensive. But they did a fantastic job and made moving my mom into her new place a much easier process for me.

I moved 10 miles down the road, and the moving coordinator I worked with was very up front and forthright. However, I was quoted a price, and the amount that was charged was a little exorbitant. I had everything packed. It took the movers four hours and they charged me $2,700. My original estimate was $2,500, and I really thought I would be getting a credit because of the shortness of time and distance. I also found out that the time they put down for getting back to their place of business was wrong. I questioned those things, so I haven't paid my final invoice with them yet. I'm trying to negotiate it. I'm not displeased with WayForth's services and I would never give them a bad recommendation, but I don't feel this billing practice was correct.

I had a great experience with WayForth. It was a one-stop shop, and they did everything that I needed them to do with good efficiency, professionalism and care. I got great value for what I spent to have the move done. It was for three-bedroom place that was my mother's, and the gal that was in charge understood what I was going through, having to dismantle my mother's home. I wanted the movers to pack everything up that I had organized, and I wanted the gal to handle everything for me and be my representative. She handled everything and kept the crew on task, and they worked really well together. Everything was on time too. They did the move within the time frame that was expected. They delivered my mother's piano to my home, and that went really well. It all went off like clockwork.

I had a fantastic experience with them. The rep came out first to do the estimate. She came a couple of days before the packing with another worker to help take apart my treadmill 'cause that was a big piece to move. She was there with the people who packed the place and was really overseeing everything. Then she was there the day of the move as well.

The reps I dealt with were very responsive and helpful. They were great. The movers were also good and pick-up was fine. However, we had a multiple drop-offs, and they screwed a few things up. Some things were supposed to go to point A, but it ended up at point B and vice versa. It was not a huge deal, and we just took care of it ourselves. All in all, I was good with the service. It was good value.

I like their accessibility and that they got back to me very quickly. They were thorough and very fast. My rep was terrific and I really liked her. They had eyes and ears on site and it was like having that extra person who was coordinating the movers. My rep was on top of the guys with labelling the boxes before they sealed them and making sure that everything was accomplished. It was one more layer of organization that made things so much smoother.
The estimated cost of the move was the same as the final cost. It was on the high side but at the end of the day, I didn't lift a finger. The movers unpacked and they broke a TV. But there was a brand-new TV the next day.

Christian and his team got to my mother's place about 8 o'clock and by around 4:30, it was all done, and she was settled in the new place. The quote that they gave us stayed the exact same. It was a fabulous experience. I've already referred WayForth to other people.

I love Wayforth. We felt like family and they acted like family. They moved us to the storage unit on the 20-something of January then on February 17, we met at the storage facility, picked half of the stuff and took it to the house that we were moving into. It was wonderful. The communication was perfect.

WayForth was so understanding and efficient. It didn't feel like they were underfoot. They knew what they were doing. The first lady came in and helped us pick what to take and told us about the services we could use. We ended up deciding to clear a lot of things so we knew what was going over and getting rid of other things ourselves. She gave us the quote, and we fixed the moving date. I was not able to do that, but she was so flexible with me changing that. Even though she knew she wouldn't be around, she said, “We'll make sure we do it.” When her assistant called to confirm some things, I said, “No, that's the wrong date.” The assistant also did her magic and everything was moved at the date and the time that I needed. The move was so smooth. The people, from the team leader to the packers, were so delightful and respectful. I love them all. I've already told someone to use WayForth.
