Wayforth was recommended to senior me in 2020. They sucked. They broke things. They "lost" things. I settled for $300 just to get the fools out of my life. The things that vanished were of major sentimental value to me. Especially as I have no family left. They could pay me a million dollars and it would in no way compensate for the emotional harm they did. A number of things that were "lost" are in photos in my album, and every time I see them it hurts all over again. I was glad to hear they were in trouble and sticking to Richmond. I'm in Maryland.

Extremely professional and I would highly recommend it. Very communicative. They were our movers, very friendly, and took great care of everything. Will use them again. Nice guys, very organized, polite and smart workers. The price was competitive too. I’ve had previous difficult experiences with other movers; today was great! They were respectful, efficient, and thoughtful. I highly recommend this company.

I had heard such good things from a previous client about this moving company. But my experience was terrible. Poor planning, poor communication. One packer showed up unvaccinated during Covid. After I complained, she showed up again for unpacking. After I asked for a detailed itemization of the balance due, I didn't hear back from the company for months. Understand it is now in bankruptcy. I'm not surprised. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY,.

My mom's 93 and she couldn't live alone anymore and WayForth did very well with moving her. We appreciate everything. The guys were on time and moved everything with care. They were very efficient. We wanted to move a few things and change things around, and they were very easy to work with. They did it all in one day and it was wonderful. They were very professional and everything was better than I expected.

Whatever our schedule was, Wayforth worked with us. They graciously accepted doing the move without any questions. The girl that came out was perfect. She did a cost assessment for us and gave it to us. We even asked if we could get some boxes and she said yes. She went over, got some boxes and brought them to us. She did everything we could ask for.

I was a little apprehensive because I'd never heard of WayForth. Their truck broke down and were about three hours late getting here. That wasn't the problem because we were only moving across the street. It concerned me because I didn't know if they were gonna be able to make it on time. I had a cleaner scheduled to come out the next morning after they got the furniture out. But they were here, and it took them four hours altogether.

They did a wonderful job. They carried the stuff with my furniture across the street to the house without having to load the truck. I told the head guy that he could back the truck up right to the garage to make it easier for them to load the truck but they did everything by hand. That was amazing. If it turns out that we have to move again, I would go straight to WayForth. They had the lowest bid by far and as it turned out, we were charged even less than that for the final bid. I couldn't have asked for better service. They could do a better job advertising though.

Wayforth moved me from Lake Wylie, South Carolina to Columbus, North Carolina. They did an excellent job on that move. So I called them again to move me to Indiana. A gentleman came from Concord, North Carolina to Columbus, looked at what I had to move, and that day, gave me an estimate of what the cost would be, said he would go back to the office and give me a firm estimate. Then he called me the following day. This move was little over 700 miles so Wayforth's quote was in line perfectly.

Two people came to my door at about 9:30 on the day that they told me they would be there and started packing. I told them that I see no reason for me to stay there. I just would probably be in their way. So I told them that as soon as I got the last of the things in my own vehicle, I'd probably be leaving. I did that in about 10:10 and I started driving from Columbus to Crown Point, Indiana. They used a heck of a lot of packing material to pack me and the result of that was that everything arrived at the destination in very good shape. Nothing at all was broken. It was prearranged that they would make the move and the delivery on the 30th of the month. They gave me that time in between to get where I was going to receive the property. It worked out just fine. When two gentlemen came to unload the truck, I just showed them where things went in the home, and they put it where I asked them to put it. It worked very fine too.

WayForth specializes in moving seniors out of their spaces. That's their forte, which was great for us because we have a bit of clutter. They didn't seem worried or scared about that, which was nice. Originally wanted to get the full quote for we don't do anything type of moving, and tried to get ala carte. So, we picked and chose what services we wanted to get. Did that with a few different vendors just to get an idea of what the cost would be and WayForth was willing to provide an ala carte menu. Each one of those services could be dropped or another service could be added without too much of an issue. So, that was nice for customer flexibility based on our budget. We had them come over and do the packing of all of our stuff. So, it was a full pack, and we had them load a U-Haul. It's essentially like a private vehicle. It was quite the experience. But they had a team come in.

It was an initial evaluation, and they had secondary evaluation, and they came in with packers for two days. It totaled nine hours worth of packing with a three to four-person team each day. And on the load day, they had loaders come in and spent eight and a half hours loading our truck, which was a 26-foot U-Haul truck. At the beginning, we were a little worried. We weren't sure if everything would fit on the truck and we tried to figure out what we would do if we had some overflow.

And we weren't really getting the answers that we wanted, which would mean more exact box count or what their strategy would be from your program manager at first. But reach back out, and then sort of dealing primarily with one of the lead managers there and he took over the whole case. And really, we didn't look back from there. So, any issue that we had, we were able to speak to him directly. He was able to provide solutions and explanations. No question felt like it was silly or dumb or bothersome. He took the time to answer all of our questions and also took the time to provide solutions. Even so far as showing up himself every day to do work, like physical labor, on whatever else the team needed. The team that did show up for packing and also floating, everybody was professional.

Everybody did exactly what they said that they were going to do just about. If I'm going to do a 9 out of 10, I would say everybody was scoring in a pretty good 90. The loading day was really hot, during part of that heat wave time. So, they took great care of themselves, as in like taking the breaks, taking some water breaks, and really just knocked it out. And this is where the manager came in towards the latter part of the load to make sure everything was fit. And by the end of -- it was like maybe hour and a half of working there -- he was soaked, like drenched, like he was dumped in a pool. So, he was definitely working super hard to get it done.

Towards the end of the whole experience, they had to start to settle up and figure out what the ultimate cost is. They took extra time to load some high-value items that we were worried about and walked us through the whole process. I was involved because it took two people to do. It was moving a chandelier, crystal chandelier, family heirlooms that we were very nervous about. He took his time and said, "I've done this before."

So, demonstrated expertise, did it. Got here, everything was unloaded, and we had zero breaks.Everything was labeled appropriately so we could figure out what was in the box. All in all, very good experience. When the final bill came through, it was not unexpected. Moving is very expensive and they delivered on what they said that they would do. They did a great job.

My family doesn't have a problem pointing something out if we don't like it and try to make some changes. We've tried to talk about it first. But WayForth stepped up and we're happy that there's a local office. We didn't have to contract anything out. But they did everything that we asked. And everything that they said would fit on the truck, fit on the truck. Everything was packed all the way. The packing job that they did two days, we couldn't have done it on our own. We had a lot going on and they were able to work around us and get it done.

Scheduling the move was really easy. We called and got it all scheduled. Then, the crew came and did a great job helping me move some of my college stuff to storage. They did most of it. I just told them what to take and what not to take. WayForth holds themselves to a very high standard and they really delivered in what they say they'd do.

The contact with WayForth was very accommodating and pleasant to deal with. We were in a hurry and they were very informative about availability and helping me figure out the dates. I was asking what we could do so that the cost would be less than the estimate. The main thing was we could do a lot of the packing ourselves. For anything that we packed, we had to unpack them. They made it clear that if anything broke, it wasn't their responsibility. My mom had a piano to move and they had movers that would do that. They didn't have to handle that separately. They guaranteed that they would cover anything if anything broke. I was very pleased with the moving process.

However, they're expensive and I had sticker shock at the cost. There was one thing I didn't notice about the actual versus the estimate and that was the number of people. I didn't pay a lot of attention to that and to the fact that you're charged for travel time. They didn't say what the travel time would be. I have a certain cost estimate based on the certain amount of time over two days. The lady did a conservative estimate. But the actual cost and the time involved, even though we did all that packing, was more and the invoice was slightly more than the estimate. That is where I had some disappointment. They offered me a 10% discount of the final bill, not the total bill. There was a 5% overall discount because I had already paid about half of it upfront. A little bit better communication about how much their service is gonna cost or a better estimate would be good. But I would still recommend them based on the type of move we were doing. It was excellent service.

Somebody from WayForth called me back right away and set up an appointment to come and walk through the house to give me an estimate. It was super easy. It was quick, which was good because we were moving in a hurry. I packed things myself. When my aunt moved, she's quite elderly and she had them pack everything. So I knew it was an option, but I didn't choose to do it. The crew was fantastic. It ended up being a rainy day and they were very careful about wrapping everything and moving things into the truck between downpours. They were super and just fast, efficient, helpful and friendly. I've moved a lot in my life and they are the best movers I've ever had. I wanna give a particular shout-out to one of the employees, Victoria, who was in charge of the whole move. When we got to our new place, she recognized that there was mold on some of our furniture and she let me know right away.

We inspected everything and she made the decision to get rid of some of the furniture because we didn't wanna bring the mold into our new apartment and she was so helpful about that. They took away the old furniture. I didn't wanna move it into the apartment, but I didn't wanna leave it in the hallway. And I didn't have the energy to try and research fixing it. There was a lot going on that day. She walked me through all the options and I ended up deciding to get it out of my life. There was an additional charge for removing the moldy furniture, but the estimate actually came in lower than we had expected because we downsized so much that it ended up being the same price. All the items were perfect when we unpacked and nothing was broken.
