    I engaged Wayforth to haul away a few things that I was clearing out of my garage. I am getting ready to have it repainted, and I had a lot things in there, including a lawn mower, a seed spreader, and various other things that they picked up and hauled away. To some extent, we were able to have it donated for a tax write-off. The moving crew was very good. They encountered a problem with some roadwork on the highway, but they got there very close to on time and were gone within about half an hour. They were very efficient, friendly, and nice guys, and based on my experience, I would definitely use them again. In fact, I've already told them I will most likely be engaging them when we get ready to downsize the rest of our house. It'll be a much bigger job when we do that.

    Wayforth helped move my mother-in-law when she transitioned from a from a single family dwelling to a congregant living facility. We did all the packing ourselves and then the movers showed up, put stuff on a truck next day, took it down to the new house, and unloaded it. So it was a very, very simple move. They were the nicest, most professional, and yet friendly and courteous group that I've ever encountered in a move.

    We had a person on the front end who was there to see if there was any packing or help that needed to occur. But she realized there wasn't. She just pitched in with everybody else. The movers were courteous and thorough. They wrapped stuff well. Then on the back end when they unloaded stuff, they were much quicker than anticipated. So it was as good as you would want a move to be. We were really delighted with their work.

    One of the things that worked out better for us was that Wayforth worked by time and not by weight. It makes sense with their business model of doing high touch for elderly residents moving from one place to another. But for us, it was ideal that we did all the work ahead of time and on the other end. So we just paid for Wayforth to do the pick up, put the items on the trucks, get it there, and then undoing it.

    The reps from WayForth came one day and did a walkthrough and gave an estimate. We were taking pieces to two different destinations and somebody came and tagged things with two different colors for that. The movers were a little bit later than they said they were going to be, which ended up being fine for our purposes. Everybody was very polite, professional and helpful. They were a lovely group of people, packed everything extremely well and seemed to be highly competent with what they were doing.

    Moves always take longer than you expect them to so it took longer than we expected. But it wasn't ridiculous. I would have loved it to take an hour or so less than what it did but it was certainly within our estimated timeframe of when it would happen. The movers unloaded the items first at the same facility where my father-in-law was moving within the facility and then, they took the other items to a remote location that was about 30 minutes away. We were very pleased with WayForth. They're not the cheapest but they did a good job. And clearly, Cedarfield trusts them. It was a good recommendation. It was high-quality and a good experience and in this situation, it was definitely worth it.

    I heard good things about WayForth. With the quote they gave, they said, "If we come under it, we will give you a refund on that." That was pretty fair. My move was from Columbia, Maryland to Silver Spring, Maryland and WayForth made it to one move. The timeframe of the move was as they predicted. Their rep said, "I think the first truck will arrive around 8:30, and they will probably be done, unpacked the truck around 12:30... The next day where we do the unpacking, we will be done sooner. We will arrive later and we will leave sooner than that... Should be out of here, I think around lunchtime." And they were. She said, "We'll be back in about two weeks to hang your pictures." And they were and we got them up exactly where I wanted them.

    The young lady that handled the move checked in with me. There were a couple of minor items that were missing and they got replaced. She said, "At this point, you may be under the amount that we have quoted you, so there would be a refund coming." But that will take a while. That was no big deal. I know where they operate. There's an awful lot of WayForth that comes through here and goods that would get moved into Riderwood.

    One of the WayForth representatives came in, looked at the apartment, made an evaluation, and gave me an estimate. We agreed on all the details. I paid the deposit a few days afterward. And it was fine. Everything went smoothly during the move. The only problem was that, when we had agreed on a date, both I and the representative did not realize that it was going to be a holiday. It was Juneteenth Day. So they ended up not finding a parking spot that was close to the building's door. Things took a little bit more time than we expected, just because of the longer walk to the truck. But I would definitely recommend it, especially if others had as much stuff as we did. Everything was handled quite well and everything arrived fine. There were no losses.

    I had a very easy experience with WayForth. They came out and they gave my mother an estimate. They provide all kinds of services. We didn't need all of them but for downsizing seniors. They had someone come back out once we picked the date and marked all the furniture and items that they were gonna move, then they moved. They packed her up and unpacked her. There was a little bit of damage, but they handled that in a professional manner. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again. They’ve just been very professional and affordable.

    Things were put into storage in Florida and I was six months at another senior facility and then in May, WayForth and Town & Country took all our furniture from the apartment that we were living in and the storage unit, took it up here to Maryland. When it got to Maryland, some went to our house, some went to my daughter's, and some went to a storage unit. The moving crew were very polite, clean, nice and helpful. WayForth is delivering some things right now and I need to get the damage claims filled out. A glass in a picture was damaged, pieces of the dining room table chipped off and an antique piece is coming apart. Also, a large handcrafted crucifix Jesus is dismembered.

    I had an excellent experience with WayForth. I had a five-level split home and there was a lot of stuff that had accumulated in it. There were four workers and a supervisor for the first two days and they worked with the stuff very well. Also, when the move day came, someone came with a truck and a supervisor and six men, and they did an excellent job. On the final day of clear-out, WayForth had to send an extra truck and they might have had 12 guys on that day. The supervisor, Cheryl, was great and everyone was very neat, kind and professional in their manner toward me and my family who was helping me there. I would rank this situation very highly.

    I was surprised at how the workers seemed very respectful and understanding. I've seen it in nurses, but I didn't expect to see the same type of behavior in other types of workers. And I like the idea of having a supervisor because the others needed that help or coordination. They needed to have someone to go to. There was someone there to tell them what we were working on first or second or third. And it just seemed to make the operation go more smoothly when they had someone with a stronger foundation as the head and then had the other workers with them. Cheryl was excellent with them and they responded to her well. She and the leader of the moving van stood there together and coordinated the whole situation, the women who came to do the packing and identify what needed to be done. Then, the movers came in and took things out.

    The coordinator of the movers and the coordinator of the young women at the house seemed to work together. It's a very difficult situation. I moved but to me, it was a crisis because I had been in my community for 51 years. I had been in that particular house for 35 years and my whole life was there. But they were very respectful of everything, treated everything gently, and asked questions before they did anything about situations. And that was very helpful.

    I'm shocked at what got cleared out and how quick it was. I needed very strong men and workers because I had heavy things in my basement. The workers wanted the place cleaned out because they were gonna paint the walls and sand the floors throughout. Some things had to be given away. Some things were sold. Some things were stored. Various things happened to the items. But they got it cleared out. And the workers got right in to paint and sand the floors and move the house along for sale. I couldn't have done it without them. I worked for weeks in advance, cleaning out drawers and identifying what needed to be thrown out of the house. But not enough got thrown out. So, they helped with all that.

    Erin, the rep from WayForth, was terrific. During the move, the crew couldn't get the bed apart, so that had to be done later. The final cost changed slightly but that was because the crew had to go back and get the bed after it was taken apart. It was $200 and they didn't have to go far so it was a big deal.     My dad is 90 and has been living alone and it was time to get him close to where I live. So we moved him out from Kentucky to North Carolina. And I'm moving him into a retirement community. The local gentleman from Wayforth did a FaceTime tour of my dad's place and was able to make his estimate off of that. It came in a little higher than his original ballpark but that was no big deal.

    The crew was scheduled to meet me in Lexington, Kentucky on Monday morning and they showed up early. We started before 9:00 and they were done by 12:30. They hired a local to help them. My dad packed 15 boxes of books but the crew packed everything. They did everything from soup to nuts. WayForth was more expensive than some of the others but my dad didn't wanna move and it was gonna be a hassle with him having to be relocated. And Wayforth was perfect. I’d recommend them. They did a great job on the project I had. I was very pleased and the people were very nice. I was impressed with them.

    WayForth came out to my home and we reviewed the items that were to be moved. I went through the process a couple of times because I had changes of direction of where I was going and then what room I was gonna be in. So they had three different proposals that were given to me. They gave me a floor plan and then a quotation. At almost the same time, I changed my mind and determined that I was coming to Windsor Run. So WayForth developed a new plan for me. Britney did an outstanding job.

    There were two prep days before moving day. One way was for marking what was going out the move, what was staying, and what was gonna be put in storage. We have some things currently in storage at a WayForth facility that two of my children will hopefully pick up in the next several months. There was one person that was responsible for marking the areas. She marked them correctly. It was just that one of the packers was inexperienced and got confused on the second day. There was some confusion between the marking and the actual packing of things that some items were identified to come with me or to be packed for one of my children. Fortunately, I was in the area and I put a halt to that. So they repacked some of the items.

    On moving day, the moving crew packed up everything and moved it for me. I stayed out of the way and made plans to come several hours later. When I got here, they made decisions on where to put things and about 85% of that was better than anything I could have thought of. So it worked. The basic furniture was in the spots that we had determined between us, which we concurred on. But all the other items were done very well, unpacked, and put in places that I'm still starting to figure out what I'm gonna do with some stuff.

    I bought acreage in North Florida and moved. It was 300 miles away. I researched and looked at reviews. WayForth seemed to be the one to call. The process was all very easy. People came out and walked through the house with me. I actually had three locations. I had a house, a condo, and a storage bin. I was getting ready to sell the house so I emptied my house out and put most of the stuff in storage. We had to go get three pick-up places. We coordinated and there was a lot of scheduling. It's like, “I need you to pick up the storage bin first, then I need you to come over here and pick up the condo. And then you need to come here and pick up the house.” It all went well.

    There was a problem at the condo but the crew took care of that. The condo had laminate floors. When they were packing up the furniture in the condo, the team lead was out in the truck, packing the truck. Instead of lifting furniture and couches and things and putting them on dollies then spinning them to wrap them in plastic, the other guys spun them on the floor and they scraped the heck out of that floor. When I saw what happened, I contacted them. They sent somebody over and the cleaners looked at it. They couldn't clean it up so the crew did what they needed to do and replaced the flooring. I had already sold the condo. I contacted the new buyer and said, “This is what happened to the floors.” We had a deadline to get the floors done because the new buyer was coming. Even though I had already closed on the property, we went forward. The new buyer picked out the flooring and the crew got it installed and took care of it. I had a very good experience with WayForth.

    I was moving my father into an independent program, and WayForth was helpful. They're known for being movers for senior situations and they should be. They were very hands-on and understanding that this could be a difficult situation and not a typical move. We have not sold my father's house yet because we didn't need to to make the move, and they said, "Let us know when you're ready." If I need help, they'll help me get an estate salesperson. They're not done with me. They'll be there to assist. Their helping with packing and setting up was very personal, and the guy that they had working with me was wonderful. He was very caring and nice.

    WayForth quoted me a price, which I accepted, and it came out cheaper. That was shocking, and I don't think I have ever had a situation similar to this. There was a deposit, a payment at pickup and a payment at drop-off, and when I added everything up, it was almost $800 less than the quote. It could have been that we didn't take a lot of stuff or maybe they expected to have more packing and they didn't have to pack up dishes in the kitchen. It was mainly pictures and personal items. It wasn't a huge move, but I expected the final charge to be a lot more and it wasn't. I've done for myself a few different moves and once a place quotes you, you expect at least the quote, but the final charge could be a little higher. You always go into those kinds of things expecting, "It took a little longer than we expected. We have to charge you a little extra in labor."

    WayForth is an honorable company, and I would not hesitate to use them again. I also won't hesitate to call them when I'm ready to work on the rest of the stuff at the house and put it on the market. My dad's move was amazing. In hindsight, he had me, my husband and his granddaughter and we really held my dad's hand through all this. However, I was also thinking in terms of, "Thank goodness he had us through this because this is not an easy move to make. He's 93 years old." Had it been a senior citizen in their nineties that was alone and didn't have that kind of care, WayForth is the company I would have wanted taking care of him.

    I sold our house and the crew had to send some things to donation one day and then, they had to pack up most of the stuff because we're moving to a retirement and it wasn't ready. So, they had to take care of that and move it to storage. They also had to move stuff to our apartment. So, it was a complicated day but it all got done. WayForth had someone come over and repair one thing that was slightly broken. So, I was pleased.

    The cost is the only thing that confuses me a little bit. They gave me a price and it depended on what the eventual poundage would be. They said it took four vaults so it's $300 a month and I assume that's reasonable. But the move was expensive. I just paid for the initial stuff and I'm waiting until after they move from storage, in my little apartment, to the new one to do the rest. They sent me a bill and charged an extra $1000. I called them and I asked what it was all about. Jennifer called me back and said they were looking at it. But I never heard from them again. Overall, the personnel is great and the customer service is excellent.

    Everything was very efficient and timely and they did a good job. My mother was moving from one assisted living facility to another and they had to pack a room. There was a little bit of uncertainty as to when the new room was gonna be ready and they were flexible in terms of being able to accommodate move dates and times. They were able to accommodate storing it for a few days and then moved it in to a new facility. Also, they were very fast to respond.

    We were getting the house cleaned out so that it could be sold and the rep who helped me get everything set up was very good. She came and explained everything, and gave us some suggestions that were helpful that we didn't even know of before. She answered any questions that I had and was patient and very personable. She also told us when her team was gonna come out and what they were gonna do. And they did what she said they were gonna do within the timeframe that she said.     It's difficult moving. My mom has some dementia and had to go from her apartment to assisted living. But our project manager at Wayforth was so kind. They were so sensitive with every bit of it. There was a problem with one of the trucks but everything was handled. The moving was smooth and the moving gentlemen as well as the packing people were amazing. They were so friendly, thoughtful, and very careful with everything. They had a lot of good ideas too about what to do with the things we weren't moving because we had a lot more in the apartment than it was going to go to mom's assisted living.

    I had done a little research, so the quote they gave me was not unexpected. The project manager looked through everything. Also, Susan, the lady in the office that I worked with, was so helpful with all the billing and the back and forth because I'm in another state. She kept in touch with me all the time about what was going on so we could coordinate and I didn't have any problem with the price. They certainly earned it. They worked within the time frame and they work at Granite Farms here a lot, so they're familiar with the routine, the buildings, how to get in and out, and which elevators to use. So, it really was a very easy move, considering that it was a very complicated one. My mom's all settled in now and she's doing well in her new place. I found out that Wayforth also has offices down where I live down by DC. So, if I had to move myself, I would consider them.
