It was a pleasure to work with Van Lines Inc. for a Cross Country move. I had no problems at all with the crew members or with customer service. The price was not bad, it was about the same as the estimate. We had some very heavy furniture to move but they did everything so good. I liked that they made scheduling easy and handled everything professionally. Keep up doing excellent work guys.

We moved our 4 bedroom home from Delray Beach to Bloomingburg, NY. It was our first time using a long distance moving company. I was so happy to be able to have a point of contact in case I had questions. Which I did... the office support was so helpful in preparing me for this big move. The guys that moved us were very respectful of our furniture and that was huge for me. If you are nervous about moving and you want to deal with real people call VanLines!

We had a wonderful experience relocating with Van Lines Inc! Made the hassle of moving much more manageable! Incredibly thorough! Customer service, particularly Dona, are thorough, friendly, and very professional! Love these guys!!! They are the best! We would recommend their service for instate or out-of-state moves.

I was calling around getting quotes from different companies. I had signed a contract with another company and I received a call from an agent from Van lines Inc. When I told him I was not interested anymore his demeanor was very aggressive and wanted to know who I signed with. I told him that I was not interested anymore and hung up. He then proceeded to text me the following. "Mrs Rude, I was trying to keep you from moving with a broker. I hope you get screwed by a broker and never see your stuff again."

I was so relieved to discover that I trusted my move with Efie and company who respected my prized possessions. The stress was alleviated because I hired the professional movers who respected my prized possessions. I totally recommend this company.

We had a wonderful experience during our move with Van Lines inc! Straightforward and competitive pricing. No hidden fees. Quick with the response time and answered all my questions… No matter how many times I asked. It was a perfect pleasure to have them helping us in a time of need. I would recommend them to everyone I know.

I cancelled in the 48 hour period of time as per policy. I was to get a refund minus 20% for their work. The policy does not indicated that is 20% of total estimated cost. I expected that it would be 20% of the deposit that I paid.

Van Lines inc are by far the most professional and honest movers. The office people did an awesome job of keeping in constant communication. The movers were very professional, and everything was packed up and unpacked nicely and neatly. I appreciate this company and highly recommend them! May God Bless you all!!

Updated on 10/20/2022: After reading the response of my complaint of Sept. 2022. Nothing was said about missing items nor the fact that they did not set up the garage shelf. I told Harold that we had different-sized boxes. He said not to worry. What about not responding to my phone calls? Harold stated they would be with me every step of the way. And even after my review nothing was said about missing items! Again no phone calls addressing my concerns. Please note, not accredited by the BBB. Now I know why.

This was my first time working with a full-service moving company and they were amazing! They were all very professional and everything was packed up and unpacked nicely and neatly. They were very respectful and took great care of my furniture and other items. Also, Jack was great and made the process of scheduling easy. Van Lines inc are one of the most respectable dependable respectful companies that I have worked with. They have excellent communication. The guys did a wonderful job for me, and I would tell any of my clients about Van Lines inc incredibly good service. They wrapped every single piece of furniture and secured it on the truck. Our move was very smooth and up to our expectations. Their customer rep was really good about giving us the necessary information and estimate and would answer any questions. Vanlines Inc made our huge long-distance move run like a breeze; I had no worries or stress and they delivered earlier than estimated with no damages! I recently moved from Ohio to California with Van Lines Inc who did a fantastic job with our move. From the 1st call I made I knew this was the right Moving company to help with my move. The sales representative (Jack) was extremely helpful in answering all my questions and made me feel confident that all my items would arrive safely. TERRIBLE MOVING EXPERIENCE! We moved from Nevada to Florida. As I was planning the move, I got many quotes from many moving companies. I chose Van Lines because of the "reputation" I thought they had even though I had quotes from other companies that were half the price. Van Lines estimate was $14,788.32 for 1372 cf of space. I spoke with Joseph **, the sales rep at Van Lines. He never said he is a broker, he never said Van Lines is not a moving company, he never said they were going to outsource the move to another company. When I agreed to hire Van Lines, he said he'd be there all the way through to delivery if any issues arise. BIG LIE!

We had a big house in FL to move into a small house in AZ and a storage unit. Van Lines Inc. is Wonderful and helpful business that makes moving much less stressful than you would normally experience. I called multiple movers for quotes; this one was only to give me a price without wasting my time with an in-house sales pitch. The crew was friendly, fun and professional! I highly recommend this company!

I am very satisfied with the move. Everything went smoothly from start to finish! Moving is always a struggle but it was totally stress free with Van Lines Inc help. Very flexible and quickly adapted to change of schedule. Competitive price. The coordinator is very capable, very professional. The 3 movers did an excellent job. Our move was from Pittsburgh, PA to Phoenix, AZ. The pick up date was April 8, 2022. The load was delivered on June 8th, YES June 8th!!!! I contracted with Van Lines Inc, who acted as a broker, they hired Keep It Moving (out of Philly? or Georgia?). Keep it moving arrived a little late (couple of hours), not a big deal. They were very polite, respectful. I asked one employee if they deliver out west often, his response "we hardly ever go west, we stay east coast" (First red flag). They left our house and took the load to Georgia, where it sat...and sat...and sat in their warehouse. Van Lines, did nothing to help find our load, update us on delivery, nothing...

This moving company was great from the start. Pricing was also better than many large companies. I was well pleased with how my move went. Very professional pickup and delivered the item with excellent care. All my items were moved without issue. TVs were wrapped and boxed. The tables and bed frames were disassembled and reassembled perfectly. If you are looking for a GREAT moving company, I highly recommend this company. You will not be disappointed.

Van lines was very professional every step and we had a great experience. The drivers were great as well as the movers, they were punctual and very careful with our items, also the one setting us up was also awesome! I would highly recommend Van lines to anyone who is moving. Harold handled setting everything up and he was great answering all my questions.

The customer service was impeccable. I was super stressed about my move and everyone from the people who took my call to the movers were incredibly patient and so careful. This was my 2nd cross country move in the last 18 months and my first experience using a broker over a moving company was the best decision till date. They were by far the nicest and most professional company I have used. It was not the lowest quote I received or the highest, my consultant was very honest on the expected time it would take to complete our move. He provided multiple options for payment, which was very convenient for me. The staff was careful, friendly, and professional. From start to finish, Van Lines provided such a truly excellent service. They offered fantastic service at a great price; the reasonable of all the quotes I had. My move was cross-country from FL to CA. The contracted price and quote were a flat rate which included packing. They communicated frequently particularly before pick-up and during transport. The price never changed. My furniture and boxes were wrapped by the movers better than a birthday gift. I cannot say enough about the quality of their work, professionalism, I WOULD recommend VAN LINES INC to my friends and family, and I WOULD use them again!!!!

I am extremely impressed with all the people at Van Lines Inc.! There was no pressure to sign extensive agreements or credit card authorizations. I received a very fair estimate and we set a move date. Everything went better than expected. On the day of the move the team notified me about 30 minutes prior via text of their arrival. Everything was wrapped in blankets; mattresses were bagged, and they took care of all my belongings. Upon arrival at my new place, they had everything put exactly where I wanted, and the furniture was reassembled perfectly. I highly recommend this moving company!!!

I moved from Chicago to Dallas, and I had an incredibly pleasant experience with Van Lines Inc. The office was extremely fast and professional in providing a quote and scheduling a date. The staff was friendly, extremely professional, and quick. They disassembled and then reassembled, they protected the furniture, and walls during the move. They were extremely respectful and listened to and followed all our requests, and directions. Will recommend and use their service again!

They had tremendous communication from the beginning to the end. We had a large cross country move and everything went off without a hitch. I paid exactly what my quote was, no more. My belongings were well cared for and safely handled! Most of my boxes in the storage were in bad condition but the crew took care of it. Our inventory was large, and there was NO DAMAGE to any of our items, including grandfather clock, Glass furnishings and fragile items packed in boxes. Totally worth the value. I will start by saying 5 stars is not enough. They were able to schedule the pickup within a week. I worked with Jack, and he was exceptional throughout the entire process. Van Lines was the fairest quote, so we booked packing and moving service and it was well worth it. I am very happy to share my experience. This company saved the day when I had another moving company completely made a huge error on my move date and could not move me. I called The Van Lines on May 11, 2022 and spoke with Jack. I asked Jack if they could move me the next day on May 12, 2022. I was desperate and extremely upset. Jack was so kind and professional. The entire process was so easy! And the PRICE of the Whole MOVE was so reasonable and fair! No hidden fees or fraud. I promise you… You will not be sorry with this company!

I went online and read quite a lot of reviews on moving companies, and I was shocked at what people go through with moving companies. Beware of companies that lower the price only to slap on extra charges on the day of the move. Van Lines Customer service was wonderful, and the set price was competitive. The worst, absolutely the worst experience. Promises of delivery not kept, delivery was even worse because everything was left in my dining room, because the person doing the delivering was by himself and refused to walk through the house. Everything that had been disassembled had to be reassembled by me and my family. Choose U-Haul, your own truck, or even choose not to move before you consider Van Lines, Inc..

We were able to book them at the last minute to move from Boston to Miami when another moving company did not show up. The customer service was perfect. They arrived on time and gave me a call when they were heading over so I knew to be ready. They packed up my goods very carefully, disassembled my furniture quickly without breaking anything, and took safe care. They arrived at the new location 7 days after pickup and were able to unload my goods extremely fast as well. They put all the boxes where I asked them to, and they put my furniture back together extremely fast and arranged my room the way I wanted. I would recommend them to anyone that is moving.

Honestly, it is the best experience I have ever had with a moving company. My move from Los Angeles to NYC was without bumps. I am giving Van Lines inc 5 stars for the incredible movers who packed up and delivered my items. They did a full pack which went off without a hitch, every mover who was in my old apartment and new apartment was super kind, careful, and professional. No broken or damaged items and everything they packed up arrived at my new home and I am super grateful for that!

This was the smoothest move I have ever had. I moved from California to Texas. The customer service we received before the move was second to none. Someone was always there to pick up the phone and happily answer our questions. The movers went over my boxes and all my items and confirmed it with the invoice. They loaded my belongings with great care. My belongings were set to arrive 2 weeks later. All my belongings arrived without any damage.

Hired Van Lines Inc. out of Fort Lauderdale Florida to move me from Las Vegas to Kansas. When they arrived it was another company they hired in U-Haul. They told me it should be delivered on the 8th, so on the 7th I called to find out my stuff is still in Vegas and not even touched. They gave me a new day and then called back days later and said the, yes they one driver and he had an emergency and it would be even later. Approximately 10 days later they show up in a U-Haul pulling a U-Haul trailer with one driver and someone they hired off of Craigslist. This company is so unprofessional. They lost my speakers and so far they're willing to do nothing for me.

Our moving experience was great! They were expensive, but well worth it. Great communicators, and easy to deal with. They loaded everything quickly in CT and assembled all our furniture in NYC in the new apartment, so we were ready to spend the night! If you are planning to move, I recommend Van Lines Inc.

This was the smoothest move I have ever had, and if you call in with changes to the request, they are very accommodating. They estimated 824 CF and it took 870 CF (this was my first move that I did not have to pay double my estimate). The moving team was timely, professional, and efficient. They even fixed a few pieces of furniture for us when they put them back together. I recommend Van Lines Inc 100%!!!

Best moving experience ever. Cannot say enough good things about VanLines Inc. They worked non-stop wrapping and taping our furniture and fixtures, loading boxes and securing items with bubble wrap, taping them securely, then, loading everything onto the truck. Custom boxes for TV's and mirrors were made, on delivery nothing was broken or damaged. Dispatch Team in notifying us about the arrival and delivery and schedule. They all did a 5-STAR job.

Van Lines Inc. was the ONLY company who wanted to do a virtual walkthrough so they could see everything and give me set price door to door. I was quoted extremely low prices by some other movers, and I knew it was not realistic for a large cross-country move, The packers did an outstanding job of being incredibly careful with every item, diligently wrapping and handling with care. Our driver also did an outstanding job of keeping in communication with us. Highly recommend.

Awesome movers! From the first call, I was immensely impressed with the professionalism. The movers arrived on time and took great care of my furniture and other belongings in Atlanta GA and 2 days after they delivered them to Chicago IL. I was honestly thrilled and defiantly recommend them!

Van Lines Inc. is an authentic moving broker. When I got the estimate from my moving specialist, he was responsive and answered all my many questions. They picked up my things Thursday afternoon in NY, and I received them the following Tuesday morning in FL. They showed up on time and were helpful, fast yet careful with my stuff, and extremely easy to work with. My moving specialist kept in close contact with me and the carrier the entire time. This company did a virtual inventory and gave us a cost of $15, 900 to move us from Colorado to CA. Did not divulge that they are a broker and a different company will do the actual move. Contract explicitly stated move must occur on a certain date. Move was late by one day and created many complications for the customer. The carrier who showed up for the move, A New Start Moving and Storage inflated the volume by 100 % and increased cost to $30,000. Proved that they could not have moved the volume they estimated with the volume of the trucks they used.

Have been in Kentucky for four weeks and still do not have my furniture. Many excuses where my furniture is but not a delivery date yet. Between the additional cost they held me up for prior to taking my furniture $$$$. and still after a month do not have furniture or date to be delivered. Do not use a broker! They don’t care if you ever get your furnishings. No communication, no concern that I am 73 and without my belongings for a month now.

We moved from CA to NJ 3-bedroom home. Van Lines were efficient from the start efficient, courteous and trustworthy. The driver and helpers were very careful about how they packed the truck and delivered on time. I recommend them highly.

I'm so happy I found this company online. I received so many different estimates and really didn't know why the prices varied so much. I did a Facetime with Joseph and showed him exactly what I needed to move. Price was fair and they didn't change it.

Updated on 05/14/2022: Second review in reply to their reply. We notified the company same day of delivery, advised us they would call back. Never called us back. Reason for this review. They disassemble The refrigerator and put into several boxed. We insisted they reassemble. They did not. There are missing bolts etc. in addition it was damaged. I would love to receive a call back to discuss my issues.

I moved from Wayne NJ to Florida and this is the second time I have used Van Lines Inc. I moved from a three bedroom condo to a three bedroom home. They did full packing and all items were received in perfect condition! The estimate I received was exactly what I paid. I think the pricing was fair for the amount of work done. I would highly recommend them and use them again.

I’m not at the point yet where Van Lines has picked up my household goods. My interaction with them over the phone went very well. The agent I spoke to was very courteous and knowledgeable and explained in great detail how the process will unfold. She also sent me two emails of which one had the entire future transaction and process laid out. I felt very comfortable after completing this request with them!

I recently moved from CT to CA. I’ve never been one to write reviews but Van Lines Inc. impressed me so much I thought I should share this in this day and age where we always hear about bad experiences people go through in moving. I had contacted several companies before settling with Vanlines Inc. And I’m so glad I did. Van Lines was not the cheapest quote I had received but I liked the service they were offering more than the other. Jack, my sales representative, was very informative and was able to answer all the questions I had.

My original quote, even with pictures, was $1600 more. For 4 days storage I was charge an extra total month charge of $425. No prorating. Movers could not set up the adjustable bed, and put on a frame, just left the electrical parts taped. My 2nd bed, they did not put it on a frame, as that one was lost. It was set up with pieces of wood underneath for support.. A brand new, never used 6x8 rug and an entire box; bedding, linens, blankets and knife set with sheath was LOST.

This is review is completely regarding the Broker of Van Lines Inc. not the actual moving company that moved our belongings. The moving company was a 5 star rating with excellent customer service and care. My review is solely based on the lies of being told what the price would be and then doubling the price as our things were being packed into the moving van on moving day. I was told and I have it in written confirmation from a Van Lines Agent promising the price would "NOT" change that it was a concrete contract! I reached out to Van Lines many times to discuss my disgust and was pushed off and finally told I would not be compensated in any way. My advice to you is do not use Van Lines Inc. Go directly through a moving company.

Terrible experience. They changed pick up date at last minute. Kept changing delivery date. Belongings were moved through so many warehouses and different trucks. There was a lot of unnecessary damage. The loading crew was good. The unload was not. Arrival was late. Some of the crew didn’t show. Workers walked off long before the job was done leaving only the truck driver to unload and deliver, move, unwrap, etc. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. WOULD NEVER USE OR RECOMMEND!

The pricing of Van Lines was reasonable for the move at the time. But the price changed drastically and it was way underestimated as far as the cubic feet. It came to 725 cubic feet and the movers said that we had 520 cubic feet over. I said, “That's a whole another half a house.” We had a few items, like the ironing board, a lamp and a suitcase and a few other things. But it wasn't 500.

The rep from Van Lines was great. She asked for my itemized items in detail, which I provided. That wasn't too bad and she seemed very helpful. I purchased the full-service package, which is a significant amount of money. Van Lines had a third-party person arrive who came with not a big enough truck for my item. They refused to pack my items, which was part of the full service. They said that wasn't part of their job. There was a lot of discussion that happened yesterday with Van Lines. Back and forth, there was a four-way call of why this wasn't being completed. Another issue that I have now with Van Lines is, I provided my itemized items. They put it into some computerized system that has an algorithm that kicks out the cubic square feet. And it very much grossly underestimated what was the cubic square feet, versus all the 58 itemized items that I provided.

When I called Van Lines, based on the quotes that they had given me, it was a lower cost than a few other companies that I had spoken with. But when they got there, they doubled the price. They said the guy put me down for having 19 individual items in my home. I went over everything I had with him numerous times. I had even noticed on the email that he sent me after making the list on the phone, that he had some items missing, so I called to update him and he said they were corrected.

We've moved with movers 11 previous times, and this was by far the worst move we ever had. We weren't really sure when they were coming to pick up. But they did pick up. We were led to believe that it would be delivered the next week but it took an extra week and there was a lot of damage. They didn't put all the stuff in the rooms that the boxes were marked. They just put it where they wanted that was close. They didn't have to walk very far. We have a coffee table that's completely broken. They wrecked the top of the stairs with whatever they were hauling stuff down to the basement with. They also did some damage to the custom vinyl flooring. There was a lot of stuff that has to be thrown away. It was a horrible experience. But the reps of Van Lines that we talked to over the phone were fine.

The Van Lines rep was wonderful. He answered all my questions. He even gave me his phone number. He said, “Call me anytime you have any questions or concerns.” The other day, I called him. I asked, “Are they putting my things in a climate-controlled container?” He said, “Of course, your things will be in a climate control.” I also asked exactly where my stuff is going to be stored. They said when it gets close to them coming to move me, they'll be able to tell me. They also gave me a discount because of my age.

We used Van Lines for our move. They subcontracted Affordable and Assertive Movers from Clinton or Patterson, NJ. to do the work. The movers were a team of 6 strong guys who were polite, agile, personable and professional. Their leader Felix was terrific. They picked up in PA, loaded up in four hours and unloaded in VT within 3 hours. Amazing! The men were excellent and we highly recommend their work.

The reps walked through everything with me over the phone. They were great and they followed up multiple times. The moving crew was the best crew I've ever had and I've moved about 12 times. They were like machines. These guys were so professional and got it done. Van Lines was so pleasant to deal with. I would use them again.

When I spoke with the reps to give them the credit card, they were very helpful. I asked a few questions and they answered them for me. They were prompt with all of our requests. My wife gave them the information of all the items that they were going to be picking up and transporting. Once they got all of those items, they put it in the system and they came up with a pricing that we agreed to. We didn't experience any upcharges at the time of the move. They said that they had to split it up into three payments and that was fine with us. Once we put down the deposit, they split the remaining balance into two payments. We paid it at pickup and then my wife was at the delivery and she paid the remaining balance once they arrived with everything at the delivery.

Joseph reached out to me and he ran through everything. He let us know everything that was going to happen. He always answered his phone when I had to change something, or when I had to ask a bunch of questions. I literally talked that guy's ear off. He was great with his customer service. Everything went as planned. We ended up having a really smooth loop. So it was good. When the moving guys came in, they were polite and they took a final inventory of everything, which I knew was gonna happen. They were very nice. We had a little bit of extra stuff that I forgot to tell Joseph. So the price jumped a little bit, but it was nothing crazy. I was expecting it. I'll definitely use Van Lines again.

I had Jack help me out moving and we went over all the furniture in my apartment and all the measurements. He helped me get a really good deal and was very helpful overall. Their customer service team is great. If I had a question, I could easily call them. They pick up the phone no matter what time of day it was. I had a really good experience with that. I highly recommend Van Lines. Use Jack. I've called many other moving companies and none of them were as helpful. Also, they didn't really want to give me a good quote.

Different quotes were given to us by two different people, really expensive and we are still waiting for our boxes. It’s almost a week now, my kids are sleeping on the floor and still no call or nothing.

If you want a professional service for a fair price choose this company. I’ve moved 5 times always been a nightmare whether I did the move myself or hired a mover. I would use them again but I live in Florida now and I never wanna move again!

I am dismayed to report that the high quality of customer service demonstrated by Van Lines, Inc.’s sales and scheduling team is NOT sustained when the movers show up. The estimate to move cross country was MORE THAN DOUBLED by the movers on arrival. We had no time for a Plan B and felt bullied by the mover in charge. Please learn from our terrible experience and insist on an onsite estimate. We understand estimates can shift, but to be more than twice the bid is unacceptable and NOT TRUSTWORTHY business practice.

When I contacted Van Lines for a quote to move 1200 miles, I had a very pleasant conversation and comprehensive review of every item in the home with a Van Lines representative. The bid provided was reasonable and consistent with bids from competitors. The scheduler was equally pleasant. The movers, however, destroyed trust. They walked through the house and MORE THAN DOUBLED the cost of the move. There was no time to dispute it or make another plan. My calls to Van Lines to address this issue have not been returned. I can understand a 25%, even 50% discrepancy on a bid, but to be off by over 100% is inexcusable. Please learn from my experience and insist on an onsite bid, and do not use Van Lines.

Both the movers in Texas who also packed, and the movers to PA were professional yet personable. Only negative was that the cost was underestimated even though we went through the whole house. Still their cost was half of another bid.

This is a broker. I didn't even know such a thing existed and they certainly didn't share that info so if you get a quote from them automatically add 33% to it. Then add another 10-20% because you'll find out a lot of the items you told the agent about on the phone gets left off the pick up order. I've written you a letter about them and am also pursuing through the AG's office in Florida where they are based. DON'T USE!!

This company was hired on Nov 2 to move belongings from Colorado to Florida and a 2 bedroom apartment. This process started out good, however on the day of pickup the confirmed day and time no one showed. When called the dispatch the dispatcher put the responsibility on 3rd party company hired to move belongings on a 26 ft truck. Dispatcher asked me to call them, I did and owner S. ** told me too bad my contract had a 2 day window. I was not happy that I had to go to hotel as all my belongings were packed and ready to go. Pickup happened day later and went mostly smooth until the allotted amount of 757 cu ft jumped up to over 1300 cu ft and added almost $3000 to total. I know that a 26 ft truck holds approx 1700 cu ft and this truck wasn't half full, however now I am stuck paying this since they now have my apt loaded.

I moved from Dallas, TX to Miami, Fl August 8th with Van Lines Inc. Jack ** was my consultant and made the process as easy as possible. Moving was stressful from the moment it started with getting quotes. My phone rang non-stop for weeks. Jack was very in depth with weeding out low balling competition and highlighting what industry standard practice was. Definitely not the cheapest but worth every penny for the peace of mind.

Going through their sales team, they were very professional at first with how they took the inventory - overly polite but in a good way. They made it so smooth and they weren't pushy at all. They were very respectful and very patient with the process of how I wanted to do the inventory with them. Because I gave them just a gist of what would be going on the truck and then they just wanted to follow up and make it adamant that we needed to have a very accurate list so we wouldn't be surprised with our pricing. But they let me work at my pace and let me call them back at my leisure. That was really peace of mind knowing that I wasn't pressured into doing something.

At first I was mad because the driver was about an hour later than he said. But I was happy once they got started and I didn’t have to lift a finger. By the time my stuff was delivered it was still looking like exactly how it did when they packed it. Truly can’t complain

This is the 3rd time I have used Efi to move. I moved out of the house I lived in for 15 years. They also moved my sister and brother in law in California and my mom to Florida.
