I decided to have Top Tier Moving Group help me with a move, house packing, and set up to a new home over an hour away. Nick, Josh and Samuel were great! Every one of them kindly greeted me and introduced themselves, they were friendly and professional throughout the whole day. They neatly wrapped all breakables, took caution by wrapping furniture and protected the door ways and corners. This was a big help and took the stress and exhaustion out of moving.

I had Top Tier Moving Group move me from my 2 bed 2 bath apartment in North Bismarck to my home 5 miles south of Mandan. They were so quick and efficient. They were punctual and at my apartment exactly when they said they were going to be. They got to work right away and wasted no time. They were diligent and took care of my items when loading, hauling, and unloading. They explained everything, and the process was so smooth. They were neat and respectful and asked me if I wanted specific things in specific places. It was so helpful to have them put the boxes in separate places of the house. I’ve worked with moving companies before, but Nick & his team blew every other company out of the water in every aspect. 10/10 recommend.

Top Tier Moving Group gave prompt response and had competitive pricing in comparison to other companies. My experience with them started off on a positive note; they were proficient at organizing the initial move and connecting me with local movers. However, it soon became evident that they primarily function as a middleman, and once everything was set up, it became challenging to track the progress of the move or get reliable updates. I used them for three different moves, and each followed the same pattern: efficient in the beginning, but communication faltered during the delivery stage, which could span up to a month later. The local movers were the only ones truly in the loop, and their contact details were not easily accessible.
The quality of the local movers was outstanding. They were professional, accommodating, and managed to handle a couple of tricky situations with ease. Once I was able to communicate directly with them, things moved smoothly. The key issue, however, was coordinating the schedule; it’s crucial to establish contact with the movers to get a clearer timeframe on arrival.
The websites for such moving services, including Top Tier, tend to be vague about details until a service agreement is initiated. While Top Tier's website was my gateway to them, it didn’t provide comprehensive information or a transparent pricing structure upfront—similar to other middleman companies. The websites mostly serve the function of setting up a conversation with a sales representative.
While the organization and intermediary service were solid, the lack of timely updates and direct communication was a drawback. I would rate the local movers who executed the move a full five out of five for their excellent service and professionalism. As for pricing, it's competitive. However, the frustration with their online platform meant I could only give it a two out of five.

After reviewing our records, we do want to clarify that we have documentation for one move that was scheduled for pickup on 8/31 and another scheduled for 9/5. The same assigned carrier was responsible for both moves, and we would have been more than happy to facilitate additional communication with them or address any concerns regarding delivery status. However, our records indicate that for both moves, we were never contacted to request updates or report any onsite issues or delays. Our last communication with you involved confirming pickup ETAs, and we did not receive further outreach afterward.

Initially, the setup process over the phone was pleasant, as the Top Tier representatives were kind and professional. However, my experience changed when the moving process actually began. I was taken aback when the movers arrived and informed me of additional charges that were not mentioned in the phone conversations. I felt deceived because they required smaller boxes, wouldn’t pack certain items, and suddenly increased the cost for stairs and other details that had been overlooked earlier.
The delivery also faced significant delays, taking two months instead of the promised thirty days. Communicating with a pleasant representative about the delays brought some comfort, as she assured there would be no extra charges for the late delivery. Dishearteningly, the movers displayed a different attitude. They suggested tipping for their ‘favor’ of not charging beyond a hundred feet, despite the initial phone promise of all-inclusive services. Furthermore, once they finally delivered my belongings, they simply dropped them off without setting up the items, contradicting what was told to me initially.
In the end, while nothing was lost or damaged during the move, the whole experience was far from seamless. I felt the initial promises did not align with actual service delivery, leaving a sour taste. Overall, despite some positive elements, such as courteous communication over the phone, I wouldn't recommend or use their services again given the inconsistency and unexpected charges.

Per the signed agreements reviewed and executed by both yourself and Top Tier Moving Group, the initial estimate provided at the time of booking was based entirely on the inventory and information you supplied during booking. As outlined in those agreements, all binding estimates are determined by the customer-provided inventory and the services requested. By federal law, the foreman is required to then complete a physical walkthrough at pickup to verify the actual inventory and identify any additional services needed to safely complete the move.
As stated in your contract, the total cost is subject to change based on the agreed-upon rate per pound and/or cubic foot. If additional items are present on move day, or if extra services are required—such as packing delicate items (televisions, glass table tops, etc.), specialty crating, or handling bulky items over 300 lbs— the estimate must be adjusted accordingly due to the extra material and labor it would take to complete this service. Our records further indicate that upon arrival, your actual inventory exceeded the original estimate of 298 cubic feet by approximately 400 cubic feet, and that additional services were required at pickup due to a few items that were not disclosed at booking.
We do not have record of contact from you at the time of pickup or during the period when you experienced delivery delays, in fact our last form of communication with you was July 28th to confirm the carriers estimated time of arrival. Please rest assured that had we been notified of these concerns beforehand, we would have been able to advocate on your behalf, request delivery updates from the assigned carrier, and further assist in facilitating clearer communication to help work toward an amicable resolution.
Our team has since provided you with detailed information on how to file a claim for any ongoing issues related to missing items, damages, delays, or concerns regarding the actions of the estimators, movers, or carrier personnel . Since we do not physically handle your shipment, nor do we have the authority to adjudicate claims, we encourage you to complete this step with the carrier for further consideration and/or compensation.

Top Tier Moving Group got all of our belongings from Chicago to Madison. Overall, the experience was positive. Nothing was broken upon arrival, which was a huge relief. The movers even reassembled our furniture instead of just leaving parts scattered around, something we truly appreciated. Coordinating the move was pretty straightforward. When setting up everything, the interactions with customer service went smoothly, and I never felt frustrated or uneasy during the process. The one thing I wished for, was more notice on their arrival time; finding out just the day before was a bit stressful. As for the pricing, I don't remember any glaring discrepancies between the original quote we received and the final amount paid. It didn’t stand out to me as an issue, which suggests it was within an acceptable range for our budget. We did the packing. They just put the stuff into the truck.

Unfortunately, my experience with Top Tier Moving was far from satisfactory. I believed I was engaging a standard moving company that would transport my belongings in a dedicated truck, only to find out that the space I had been allotted was limited, with specific constraints on the size of the boxes. I had initially purchased 30 large boxes but was later informed they needed to be medium-sized boxes, leading to last-minute readjustments.
The miscommunication continued as I discover there were stipulations regarding what they would transport, which meant I had to rent a U-Haul myself to move the rest of my items. Additionally, they refused to deal with stairs and left my floors scratched, turning the whole move into a chaotic and stressful situation. I did not even file a claim for the damages as I was so dissatisfied and unwilling to deal with them further.
I initially suggested another friend consider them, but I strongly advised against it after my experience. I would not trust them even with a simple task, they are the last moving company I would recommend. I paid a premium for their services and was seriously let down by the company.

I went with Top Tier Moving Group largely due to their availability and competitive pricing compared to other companies out there. The entire process spanned around 350 to 400 miles, and most of my belongings were already packed beforehand. The crew played a crucial role in ensuring everything reached its destination without issues. They took extra precautions with certain items, like wrapping my computer to keep it safe and securing a few chairs.
The quote was quite affordable. Overall, I would rate my experience with them a solid 4 out of 5.

I was considering renting a moving truck myself, which would have cost about $5,000. However, Top Tier Moving Group promised the same cost with the added benefit of taking care of the move themselves. This sounded great, removing the stress from my end, so I agreed. To my shock, the total cost ended up doubling to over $10,000, which took me by surprise since I was under contract by then.
The moving team never came to look at my items in person before the move. Instead, they assessed the volume over the phone, and it turned out what I had described didn't match their expectations. Surprisingly, there was nothing wrong with my packing by normal standards. However, they decided to repack everything differently which meant extra charges for labor and materials. To cut costs, I even had to exempt some items and eliminate part of this newfound expense, yet I still ended up overbudget. The whole volume estimation seemed off which caused this increase.
Moreover, arranging everything myself would have had my items relocated in about a week, but Top Tier took about four weeks due to scheduling and routing delays. If anything had gone wrong, or if there was room to handle claims for damages, it remained unspoken. Unfortunately, some of my belongings arrived damaged, but addressing this issue seemed out of reach at that point, so regrettably, nothing could be done. For the service itself, I made the move but paid a steep price. Although their personnel were courteous, the entire process just left me lacking control and accountability, spiraling costs with inadequate cost forecasts.

Upon arrival, the crew determined that several items were left either loose or wrapped in materials unsuitable for interstate travel. Our records further show that your shipment exceeded the original cubic footage by 286 cubic feet, which would have also contributed to the increase in cost. The total cost for your move—reflecting the verified inventory, packing materials, and labor—was $9,888.75 after applied discounts, which was signed and agreed upon at the time of pickup.
Regarding communication, our system does not show any contact from you during the pickup process that would have allowed us to address questions or clarify revisions in real time. The last documented communication occurred on 6/16/25, when the pickup ETA was confirmed. Our team has also provided you with the claims information sent to the email address on file, should you wish to proceed with submitting a claim for further review.
Please note that while all claims related to damages, missing property, overages, or delivery delays must be pursued directly with the assigned carrier, we remain willing to assist in facilitating communication within the scope of our role as your moving coordinator. Worst company to use, they quote you an estimate and each mover comes in and upcharges you! All scammers! Hunter answered the call, quoted a move, stated after deposit pay van company $500.00 at pickup and delivery. First company upgraded charging and moving company won't tell you when they will deliver.

Top Tier Moving's quote was approximately $300 to $400 cheaper than others. Unfortunately, this decision was regrettable. The final cost ended up being about $2000 more than initially quoted, which was quite distressing.
Top Tier Moving simply acted as a broker. They passed my relocation to another moving company, which was equally disappointing. The delivery took longer than expected, around 10 to 14 days, even though my load was small and shared with others.
Customer service was below expectations as the information provided to me was inaccurate, prompting me to rate my overall experience as a 1 out of 5. Additionally, the final price was much higher than anticipated, reinforcing my dissatisfaction. I would not recommend Top Tier Moving to anyone and plan to report my experience to the Better Business Bureau.

I had Top Tier Moving Group handle my move from Maryland to El Paso, Texas, covering about 1900 miles. Unfortunately, my experience with them was far from satisfactory due to several issues. There was continuous miscommunication, leading to frustration every time I tried to call and get information. They made me pay $500 for my stuff to be picked up the next day and they told me that it was gonna take at least 20 days to come to my house. The delivery ended up taking almost two months.
Additionally, the handling of my items was not as careful as I expected. I have two TVs and they broke one of them. One TV was wrapped up in bubble wrap things, but the other one was left as is in the truck. Unfortunately, due to my commitment in the army, I haven’t had time to file a claim and to be honest, I expected little resolution from them.
Overall, my move with Top Tier was marked by complications and dissatisfaction, leading me to rate their service quite poorly.

The experience was beyond disappointing. To start, I didn't receive all my belongings. Some are still unaccounted for, sitting on a truck somewhere without a clear plan for delivery. I encountered other issues like a revised estimate being $1200 more than initially quoted, but since my items were already loaded, I had no choice but to accept it.
Delivery took over a month to reach Ohio when I wasn't expecting such a delay. Additionally, three of my furniture pieces were damaged: two end tables and my late mother's jewelry chest. They also only sent one person to unload everything late in the evening, who declared the job complete without telling me that some items were missing. Consequently, I've had to replace those items myself.
I cannot recommend Top Tier Moving to anyone. They deserve a zero in my book. My advice would be to steer clear of their service entirely.

On the day of pickup, the foreman is required to complete a physical walkthrough to confirm the actual inventory and requested services. When additional items are present beyond the original estimate, or if additional services are requested, the price is adjusted accordingly by law. In your case, our records show that the revised estimate was discussed and agreed upon prior to loading, as your shipment exceeded the original 550 CFT estimate by 250 CFT. We also show that a total of $617.00 in discounts was applied to assist further.
Regarding the missing or damaged items, our records do not indicate that we were notified of these issues at the time of delivery. I needed a reliable moving solution from California to Kentucky. Initially, I reached out to a company called U-Pack intending to use their moving pods. However, they couldn’t provide the size I wanted and referred me to Top Tier Moving Group as an alternative.
At first, everything seemed fine with my interactions with Top Tier's moving coordinator. I was informed that Swift Quick Movers in California would handle my belongings. Yet, when the day came, a completely different company showed up, which was unexpected.
The real issue started post-pickup. They were supposed to deliver my items within a week or two after pickup on July 30th, but I didn’t receive the first load until September 8th, and even then, many items were missing. It took persistent communication for them to locate these items. They cited misplacement as the reason, although I believed everything should have been safely stowed in the truck.
The ordeal did not end there. When my remaining items finally arrived after several more weeks, I noticed considerable damage. Among the items, my mountain bike was bent and its handlebars twisted. Hard plastic totes were cracked, and other items broken, highlighting the lack of care during the move.
I haven’t yet reached out to Top Tier Moving Group regarding the damages because I'm still sorting through everything, but based on this harrowing experience, I stand by a zero rating. I wouldn’t recommend Top Tier Moving Group, or any of the companies involved, to anyone.
This experience has highlighted a significant lack in reliability and professionalism in handling and transporting my belongings.

Top Tier Moving Group was a recommendation. The process began with a moving coordinator who helped me estimate my inventory and provided a quote, and I found their service to be quite accurate overall.
I had interactions with two drivers during my move. The first one did cause a bit of hassle, but the second driver improved the experience considerably. At both pick-up and delivery times, the team was well-prepared, which was reassuring. Top Tier Moving Group made it easy by keeping me informed about the whereabouts of my belongings throughout the entire process.
Given my experience, I would recommend them to others.

I needed a moving service quickly and Top Tier Moving Group was readily available. I interacted with a middleman to get a moving quote, which ended up being different from what was initially promised. There seemed to be a disconnect between the middlemen and the actual movers. But the driver who assisted during the move was great—very efficient, which was a big plus. As for how prepared they were during the pickup and delivery, everything went smoothly. They managed to pack up everything, transport it, and unpack it at my new place without major issues.

We had to move a bedroom and some other stuff. We checked a lot of companies. Top Tier Moving Group was one of the least expensive ones. The customer service representative was friendly and helpful when arranging the move. However, our experience took a turn during the actual move. There were some issues because, upon delivery, one of the 15 boxes wasn't ours, and it's unresolved whether my sister ever got her belongings back. It wasn't a simple take care of it in a 24-hour period thing. Moreover, when the movers arrived, I noticed other items on the truck in disarray—some were broken, possibly due to poor packing or lack of securing them for transit. While the drivers were courteous and efficient with packing up our belongings, the oversight mentioned left a concerning impact on this moving experience.

I went through a list I found online and picked out Top Tier Moving Group. When I initially contacted them, the quoted estimate was quite different from what it ultimately ended up being. It started at $5,000, then jumped to $9,000, and finally soared to nearly $20,000. Their explanation varied, but mainly centered around claims that our load was too substantial for their trucks.
In the end, it was my niece and her husband who came to the rescue, offering to help us with a U-Haul for what was left behind. Interestingly, a discussion led by a friend managed to bring the cost down to a middle ground, which Top Tier accepted after speaking with their boss.
While the fluctuation in pricing and initial miscommunications left a lot to be desired, I appreciated the three young men who came to pack and move our belongings. They were genuinely kind and diligent in their work.
All things considered, I find it difficult to fully recommend Top Tier Moving Group to any friend. My score for them would be a 2, solely due to the positive conduct of the moving crew themselves. I wouldn't want anyone else to get stuck in that same situation and not have any way out of it.

This is the worst company to complete a move, up charges out of every little thing. Customer service is awful and rude and does not communicate anything. My items were not picked up on time and was delayed by a whole day and the delivery date (which still hasn't happened as of me writing this) is delayed by almost a week. DO NOT USE!!!!

Please note that all estimates are based on the information given by the customer at the time of booking and includes fuel surcharges, tolls, loading and unloading, as well as the basic disassembly and reassembly of standard furniture items. Any costs for additional items and/or services required at the time of pickup that exceeded the original quote, are reviewed and discussed with the customer prior to arrival to ensure there is no misrepresentation.
Pickup and delivery times are also estimated per our agreements and cannot be guaranteed due to circumstances beyond our control, including inclement weather, mechanical issues, road conditions, or remote or limited-access locations. Our records show that our team remained in communication with you while the shipment was in transit, offering real-time updates and estimated arrival windows based on the size of the move and distance traveled.
Our records further indicate that your movers attempted delivery between 11/1-11/2 but you were unavailable to receive the shipment. I have used Top Tier Moving Group twice after they were recommended to me by a friend and I have had a great experience both times. Josh ** and Cameron helped me move last week and they were an awesome crew. Customer service via phone for getting a quote and booking a move date was helpful and quick. The time and cost estimate I was given by the central office was very close to the reality on my move date. Communication with the moving crew was great, they made sure they knew what was going where and worked relentlessly to get my move done. I just recently used Top Tier Moving Group to move and they were absolutely awesome! The great customer service started with booking (Thanks again Ben). They were very accommodating, especially with my agenda being so last minute. I was given a confirmation call the day prior of my move. The day of my move, I was given a courtesy call prior to their arrival. Once there, the gentleman moved purposefully and were very professional. They moved with intention and were very careful! My experience with Top Tier has been extremely disappointing from start to finish. The initial pickup was delayed by an entire day, followed by the driver and helper reportedly being detained by ICE. A second company was then assigned to handle the shipment, only to disappear for several days without communication.
I’ve had to initiate every follow-up myself, as no manager from Top Tier ever reached out. Despite multiple requests for assistance with my claim, the company has now gone silent. I have thousands of dollars worth of my things missing, and I’ve received no support or resolution from Top Tier. I was pushed to a 3rd party claims company and had to provide documents that were apparently not filled out correctly, thus ensuring my claim will be denied. Top Tier is NOT a moving company, as they are a broker.

Complete scam. 1) Overcharged by $5,000 from quote. 2) Packing crew abandoned job and left us to pack up on own until 2am which has resulted in permanent injury. 3) Did not have full dedicated truck. 4) Initial items arrived after promised date. Second shared truck (again, were all supposed to be on same large truck) were another week later. 5) Terrible communication the entire time.
As stated in writing , Top Tier Moving Group operates as a moving coordinator and shipping agent not as a carrier. Our goal is to streamline the process of long-distance relocation by connecting customers with a network of licensed, bonded, and insured carriers who perform the actual transportation. This structure is fully disclosed in our agreements, and customers are provided access to our carrier list to ensure transparency and informed decision-making. Per the terms of service, Top Tier Moving Group’s binding estimate is solely based on the inventory and services provided by the customer at booking. We further disclose that the total price may vary if additional items are added or if extra services are required, as adjustments are made according to the agreed-upon rate per pound and/or cubic foot. It is important to note that, as a broker, Top Tier Moving Group does not handle, transport, or store any household goods. Therefore, we cannot guarantee delivery dates, as those logistics are managed directly by the assigned carrier. However, we want to assure you that we are not in the business of misrepresenting our services or "scamming" customers as we have several safeguards in place, including detailed contractual agreements and verification calls prior to pickup to review your inventory and confirm all details.
In your case, the assigned carrier was Four Season Moving Inc., and any claims involving damaged, missing items, and/or delivery delays, must be filed directly with them for review and additional compensation. The crew showed up on time and were very professional. I was very impressed by the efficiency in the way they moved my house. Josh and Nick did not waste one minute of my time and still provided an excellent move from the way they padded my wood floors to protect it to the way the padded my furniture I was very happy. This wasn't a moving experience, this was a nightmare. An absolute SHAKEDOWN. If you’re even considering TopTier Moving, ASK THEM WHO IS ACTUALLY SHOWING UP DAY-OF! If the answer is Move King, LLC....RUN. I got ripped off, big time. I was completely taken advantage of, my valuables showed up shattered beyond repair, and to this day, they refuse to take accountability.
I’ve moved over 15 times in my life. I’ve worked with reputable movers and shady ones, but NOTHING comes close to the absolute trainwreck that is TopTier Moving (a name so ironic it's offensive). They quoted me about $3,600 for my move. Reasonable. But when the movers actually showed up, Move King, LLC, TopTier's third-party vendor that they never warned me about, they immediately told me the job would cost me an additional $3,000. No discussion. No explanation. Just a bait-and-switch right at my front door. Oh, and they required cash payment. Let that sink in: before a single item was moved, I was already being held hostage for $3,000 more than I agreed to. And it only got worse from there.
My TopTier "point of contact," who was really just the sales guy who convinced me they were a reputable company, ghosted me immediately after my initial payments were processed. He never once answered a call or email after I paid. Move King tacked on ridiculous charges like $300 because the hallway in my building was “too long.” That’s not a joke...they literally charged me by the foot to walk. Every step they took seemed to cost me more money. I ended up paying over $7,000, nearly double the original quote. And what did I get for it? A shattered (and brand-new) $1,300 Google TV, broken in transit despite paying top dollar for boxes and “protective wrapping.” So much for professional care. I had to take the time to write this because companies like this should be shut down. I've never experienced a company so unethical in my life and I hope this doesn't happen to you.

If extra items are added or the volume, weight, or services differ from what was originally quoted, the total cost is adjusted accordingly—with your understanding and acknowledgment before work proceeds.
Your quoted price already included all fuel surcharges, tolls, loading and unloading, basic disassembly and reassembly of standard furniture items, and up to 75 feet of long carry at both origin and destination. In the event the movers are required to carry items beyond 75 feet, the foreman will revise the price on-site to account for the additional labor and time involved. This is standard practice across the moving industry, as it directly impacts the physical handling of your belongings.
We also want to note that movers do not only accept cash payments at pickup—they are permitted to collect alternative forms of certified funds, which is clearly explained during our verification calls prior to the move.
Our goal at Top Tier Moving Group is to make every move as seamless as possible. If any changes occur at the time of pickup, we strongly encourage customers to contact our customer service department immediately before signing revised paperwork. Our team is trained to assist with any updates, add additional items to your estimate, or mediate with the assigned carrier to ensure fairness.
According to our records, we did not receive calls or written correspondence from you regarding these concerns until after pickup. I have used their services three times over the past the three years, and all of the crews have exemplified superb, responsive, timely, and highly positive customer service. They are not the least bit daunted by the challenges ANY move can present. Today's crew brought an incredibly professional approach to our move, as well as a great sense of humor.
