As a licensed moving broker, Top Tier Moving Group LLC coordinates and facilitates transportation of household goods through FMCSA-authorized carriers. We do not physically transport, handle, or store customer belongings ourselves. As such, any claims regarding loss, damage, or delays must be pursued directly with the assigned carrier or through the third-party claims process, which is standard industry procedure.

In your case, the assigned carrier was Four Season Moving Inc., and any claims involving damaged, missing items, and/or delivery delays, must be filed directly with them for review and additional compensation. However, we would like to take this opportunity to clarify our terms, procedures, and the role of Top Tier Moving Group LLC as a licensed moving coordinator and shipping agent.

As stated in the signed contract agreements between yourself and Top Tier Moving Group, your estimate was based entirely on the information and inventory list provided at the time of booking. Our binding estimates are determined by the customer’s declared items and requested services. By law, the foreman assigned to your move must perform an on-site walkthrough at pickup to confirm the actual inventory and any additional services required. If extra items are added or the volume, weight, or services differ from what was originally quoted, the total cost is adjusted accordingly—with your understanding and acknowledgment before work proceeds.

Your quoted price already included all fuel surcharges, tolls, loading and unloading, basic disassembly and reassembly of standard furniture items, and up to 75 feet of long carry at both origin and destination. In the event the movers are required to carry items beyond 75 feet, the foreman will revise the price on-site to account for the additional labor and time involved. This is standard practice across the moving industry, as it directly impacts the physical handling of your belongings.

We also want to note that movers do not only accept cash payments at pickup—they are permitted to collect alternative forms of certified funds, which is clearly explained during our verification calls prior to the move.

Our goal at Top Tier Moving Group is to make every move as seamless as possible. If any changes occur at the time of pickup, we strongly encourage customers to contact our customer service department immediately before signing revised paperwork. Our team is trained to assist with any updates, add additional items to your estimate, or mediate with the assigned carrier to ensure fairness.

According to our records, we did not receive calls or written correspondence from you regarding these concerns until after pickup. Had we been notified during the process, we would have been able to intervene and assist on your behalf to reach an amicable resolution, as also outlined in our contracts.

We want to emphasize that Top Tier Moving Group does not engage in “bait and switch” practices and does not hold customers or their belongings hostage under any circumstance. In good faith, we remain committed to answering any questions you may have and assisting you with the claims process for further review and potential compensation through your assigned carrier.

Upon arrival, the foreman determined your shipment included an additional 659 cubic feet, which necessitated an adjustment to the total cost in accordance with the agreed-upon terms. We do not show record of you contacting our office during this time to clarify or dispute the adjustment; however, did receive paperwork showing your signed understanding and acknowledgement of these updated charges.
