    If I could give zero, I would. This company is unreliable and unprofessional. Between the broken furniture, poor ethics (driver intentionally took our paperwork from us and drove off), we are disgusted. We are pursing legal measures and have testaments from several employees. This company scams the elderly and is fraudulent. Run!

    Called Southern Elite Van lines a few days before my move and they provided a very good rate for my moving needs. Two movers, Jerry and Duane, came ten minutes early on the day of the move date and got right to work. We moved the entire 1 bedroom apartment, including travel to the storage, in exactly same time as quoted!

    The two movers who helped me were extremely efficient, experienced and handled all my small and large furniture and delicate articles with great care. Despite a slight communication barrier, as the movers were outsiders who did not speak fluent English, they were able to know enough to accommodate my requests and get the job done smoothly and seamlessly.

    NO - THEY ARE NOT LEGIT!!! I AM ONLY GIVING 1 STAR BECAUSE I CAN'T POST UNLESS I RATE...My former Manager tried to warn me, but it was too late! This company nickel and dimes you for every little thing, including "going over space" which I have never heard of. But if you like watching every single item you own be broken down to pieces and screws, given various delivery dates that they do not meet, or talk to the absolute rudest people on God's green earth, you have the right company!

    When I received my property, it was all scratched up and my entertainment unit completely broken! They also tried to give me another person's property!! I moved over a year ago and was just recently contacted by "the owner" who plans on rectifying my nightmare of a move, but I don't think that's going to happen, he told me his people would be in touch but I just think it was done for me to remove my google review which I will not unless he fulfills what was promised.

    Haven’t received my stuff yet but so far moving with the company has been a fricken NIGHTMARE!! And that’s saying something since we are military and have used countless military contracted movers. Original point of contact was Chris who was great at first…Now ignores my calls and messages... He just forwards me to the general customer service line. Second POC was Heather..Also can no longer be reached..Final POC was Charlie..Same scenario. I would NEVER work with them again or recommend them. I’m big on communication and there has been little to none with this company. The only reason I gave 2 stars instead of one is because the ONE guy they sent to load and wrap BY HIMSELF was the VIP. He busted his butt. When the QA called to get final inventory they also estimated the cost to be almost $1000 more than original even though I got rid of 2 dressers and a washer/dryer..How does that work??

    Absolutely the worst moving experience. Do not chose this company. They will lie to you and charge you extra and not deliver your belongings for over a week. I'm still waiting on my belongings and they charged me double.

    The clients service, the movers, and everyone else were highly professional and friendly. The movers managed everything with care and worked quickly and expertly. It was also a great value for all the work they did and as quickly as they did it. I was nervous about our move but after reading so many positive reviews about them, we decided to contact them for a reference. I was in contact with guy to coordinate my move. This guy was my main point of contact and he was very helpful, polite, communicative, and honest. He was assigned as my mover and he was extremely hard working, punctual, and kind. He was professional and clearly knew what he was doing.

    Firstly I was upset that I had underestimated but all my worries were finished the day of the move, nothing was queried, they just concentrated on moving things that were fully packed or that we consider were necessary. They were able to able to get the job done and managed our items with care. We had many brittle items but they ensured everything was wrapped perfectly and, safely. It didn't hurt that they were very well priced as well because other companies were giving me high price to move but from these movers as a fixed rate for the same exact time period. I am very happy with our move in experience and it is all because of them.

    I recently moved from NC to WI and these guys did a great job. They helped me pack and loaded everything with care. Within a week I was able to get all of my belongings. Everything was wrapped and well taken care of. Pricing was fair. Will use them again if needed and for sure will refer them out.

    We have moved many times and used a different moving company each time but this was by far the most effective move. They arrived on time, ready and wasted no time. We expected for 3pm and they were a few minutes before times so they can see what needed to be winded up, protected and moved. After that 3 more movers joined him and clear the whole place in less than 3 hours. They unpacked everything even quicker. Total process probably took 3hours. We were quoted for 4-5 hours so very pleased with the results.

    Nothing was broken and everything was well taken care of. They even questioned which place they wanted everything situate in and rebuild everything that we disassembled to make the move easier. They were thorough and professional. They took care of my items good during the move and even measured out the doorways to plan how to best move the big pieces. The wardrobe had not a single scratch and I moved from a 4th floor go up to a 3rd floor. They did it all in three hours. We will never use another moving company again. We would highly recommend them.

    My recommendation anyone looking at this moving company do not use them. Sales person Sam ** who quoted this to be a direct move from SC to NY made false statement. I made several phone calls. No-one would pick up the phone. They waited to load with 3 moves a move from MB to NY which should have been maybe 14 hrs took 9 days. I advised all items plus had a Zoom call and I believe they scammed me for more money at pick up.

    Customer service is the most unreliable company, I have ever encountered, they do not pick up the phone and do not call you back. They use unreliable and inexperienced drivers from their dispatch facility. They do not have their own experienced drivers. Some are rude. Manager David ** called to apologize and to look into this awful service and advised on some type of refund as of a month later have never heard from him or his company. I have advised both Better Bureau business and Consumer's affairs of this poor service. Please look elsewhere for a better and reliable moving company. Thank you.

    I strongly advise anyone needing to have their household furniture moved, to not use Southern Elite Van Lines. They are the biggest scam artists I have ever come into contact with. After our household furniture was moved from North Carolina to California, we encountered excessive damage to various pieces of furniture and décor. This company has the absolute worst customer service of any company I have ever dealt with.

    Once they received our down payment, all communication essentially stopped. We were told after the load was on the road that their truck broke down and had to be serviced for several days, but, getting any kind of details as to where the truck actually was, when it was going to be repaired, or when to possibly expect the delivery, was non-existent. Our delivery driver said this was a lie, as his truck has not broken down. It seems to me that this delay allowed Southern Elite to move our furniture to another truck, and possibly more.

    They claim they are the moving company, not a broker, and the trucks are theirs. This is another lie, as our driver was a sub-contractor and did not work for Southern Elite. He did not load his truck and therefore, he was not responsible for any damages. Southern Elite also claimed we could pick a liability level to assist in case of any damages. This was not done. We were never given a list of inventory that was loaded so we could compare. We were never given any kind of legal weight of our load, in order to confirm their estimates. Overall, I think Southern Elite Van Lines is a fraudulent company and should not be allowed to operate. They damaged over $10K worth of our furniture and have not offered any where near replacement value for any of the damage. I have attached pictures of some of our damage, and have several more. Do not use this moving company!!!!

    DO NOT USE!!! Estimated cost was way, way off (almost 1/2 of actual cost). Did not track the box numbers properly, numbers fell off items, so impossible to tell whether all items made it. We moved cross country with a small load. They assured us they would separate our items in their warehouse in GA, then ship with a bigger load. We had good communication as to when the delivery would happen, but.... We had a couple of Air Tags in our goods, so know for a fact that at least one item is still in their warehouse a month later. Have received confirmation from an employee that they have the item, but now silence. Have tried to communicate with the company with no luck - full voicemail, no response to Customer Service for submissions, etc.

    We have moved many times in the last three years. They has delivered by far the great service I have ever seen. They worked so fast and they were all so nice. Everything was perfect where I needed it. They even moved stuff around when I changed our mind about how I wanted it set up. Throughout the whole was great. They handled our furniture and belongings with the extreme care and attention to detail. Their method of protecting our items was truly impressive.

    We not long ago sold my parents' accommodation out of state and relocated many of the items to new area. Southern Elite Van Lines was caught to handle the last leg of the move. The administrator and dispatcher was articulate and on point concerning arrival day, estimated time and items. Henry, be at the head on the truck, shouted as they were en route to give a particular time window and they came right on time.

    To summarize, my husband was unable to assemble the clock until last Thursday, when he discovered that the pendulum was missing due to travel and job changes. Tragic, this is!! Not only does it devalue the clock by preventing a critical component from being replaced on time, but doing so will also require a lot of effort. Imagination of the crate acquire thrown into the dump with the pendulum inside kept me awaken. I legitimately had no hope that the pendulum, which was disconnected from the crate and recognized all numbers, was accidentally discovered or that the crate was in a storage warehouse.

    They were very helpful and familiar during our costing negotiations, and he suggested a very reasonable rate. On the day of our move, the crew arrived promptly and remained operative throughout. They treated our time and goods with great respect and forbearance. Nothing appeared to be a problem and even though we were only moving a short length move they packed our possession with the maximum of care. They were very accommodating when they placed our belongings in our new space. If I could, I did give it more than five stars.     My new site is on second floor and it does not have an elevator, and they had to walk for some good interval from where its station to the stair. I was imagining given it is completely stairs it would take extended to move all stuff up, but guess what, they complete moving and get together my bed within 1 hour. They could effortlessly take longer time and that would still be fair-minded, but they did not do that. No unplanned fees I require to pay on the day, every single item was as transparent and anticipate as when they on condition that the estimate.

    I appreciate their excellent service. Their arrival time was 4 to 6. They arrived early and worked non-stop until all of our very carefully wrapped and boxed goods were loaded onto 2 lorry at around 4. Then they made two breaks to unload after a two hour drive, at our rental and our storage places, with everything being completed around 7pm. Throughout, the team remained incredibly expert and friendly. We would highly recommend them.

    They were systematized, neat and propose attention to detail. They bind every item in plastic wrap or wrapping blankets. The entire team appeared on time, handle our items with extraordinarily care, and worked proficiently. Not a quick and dirty load the truck. Takes a few more but in actual fact avoids damage. They make our move featureless, easy and even entertaining. They approach in at the estimated price. This was the best company we have ever move with.

    They are professional criminals. From the 'slick' salesperson who quoted a low estimate, to the 'squeezer' (the night of the move 1am in the morning trying to get more money out of us once they loaded the truck), to the 'crooked' closer who promised one truck direct delivery in 2 days and instead unloaded 2 trucks into their warehouse in Georgia and delivered 8 days later than promised with missing items and damaged furniture! The workers are unprofessional and do not speak English. I had over $10K in stolen/lost items and damages. They do not pick up the phone, voicemail is full, and do not return emails. Still waiting for the insurance to pay pennies on weight (not dollar estimate). I believe there is a class action suit against them. Don't use them!

    I was quoted $2,100 for my move, but I ended up paying over $4,000. I even paid for 9 extra boxes, but they only used 5. I provided a detailed written list and a FaceTime walk-through explaining exactly what to take and what to leave. Despite this, they took items that were supposed to stay in my home and left behind important items I needed moved.

    The damage to my belongings is appalling:
    • Tables and cribs broken (photos attached)
    • Bed frame and headboard stained, scratched, and filthy
    • Furniture parts and screws left in disarray
    • Items wrapped improperly, resulting in visible dirt and damage

    • Wood pieces cracked, paint stripped

    Before the move, my main contact “Sam” called me daily. The moment my items were picked up, he disappeared with no returned calls and no updates. When I finally reached David, the manager, he was rude, dismissive, and only concerned with charging more fees, ignoring all the damage and mistakes. Now I have to hire another moving company to go back to Atlanta to retrieve the items they failed to bring. This move has cost me far more in time, stress, and money than expected. The photos speak for themselves. Unprofessional handling, massive overcharging, and zero accountability. I will never use or recommend this company.

    I’m filing this complaint regarding a recent move from Atlanta to Boston, for which I paid nearly $3,000. The experience involved dishonesty, contract breaches, and poor service. The sales process was dishonest. We chose this company over a more reputable competitor because they guaranteed features, including full packing and unpacking, that they ultimately did not fulfill. One costly assurance was delivery time frame, which added hundreds to our moving costs when our basic essentials arrived in weeks and not a few days. They even discouraged us from reading the contract closely, saying “everything’s taken care of.” Once they received payment, their behavior changed immediately.

    Communication became impossible. Calls and texts from my phone were ignored, while using a different phone number that could be a prospective customer resulted in prompt responses. The contract we received during the move was unprofessional, with multiple spelling errors. By then, the move was underway, and we were trapped. The packers didn’t label any boxes, making unpacking disorganized and stressful. Movers were scheduled to arrive June 4 between 8–10 AM but didn’t show until 8 PM. They packed until 4 AM and left items behind that I had to move separately.

    Delivery was on June 18, but I only got 9 hours’ notice via a 10:30 PM text—violating the 24-hour notice in the contract. As a physician on call, I couldn’t be there. My partner, who had a job interview, had to assist. Movers arrived nearly two hours late, and he almost missed his interview. Missing items including a speaker, hand truck (used by movers), and a laptop fan—worth nearly $700. Others arrived damaged, including a monitor, lamps, and kitchenware. The contract included basic furniture reassembly and unpacking, but the movers refused both. I had to reassemble and unpack everything myself. The company later offered $300 to drop all claim, far less than the losses. I’m requesting appropriate compensation and a formal response.
