DO NOT BOOK THIS COMPANY! THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM! This company is under review by the U.S. Dept of Transportation's FMCSA. They are using my situation to support the case against Perfectly Fast Moving. This company is guilty of FRAUD, BREACH of CONTRACT, UNJUST ENRICHMENT, THEFT. Perfectly Fast Moving is not registered with the FMCSA: USDOT: 3516489 & MC-1197300 are currently under Midland Van Lines out of TX.

My Personal Story: I received a moving estimate from Perfectly Fast Moving on January 27, 2025. The total estimated price was $2,356. This was for 300cf. / $5.28 per cf. The movers arrived at the storage unit HOURS LATE. Well past their estimated window. They recommended packing some additional items and I agreed, with an additional cost of $528.50.

    1) It was not until they had the truck fully loaded that they informed me the cubic footage exceeded the estimated amount. At that point, with everything loaded on the truck there was little that could have been done about it. I also saw when they pointed this out, that there was at least 18in of open space from the top of the trailer. The estimate provided stated that I would be notified PRIOR to them loading past the quoted cubic feet. I believe had they packed the trailer better and utilized the open space on top, the additional cubic feet would NOT have been needed.

    2) Then I was notified that they were not able to provide me with a copy of my Bill of Landing because the offices were already closed. Your mover’s solution was to have me take a picture. I was forced to sign this, being so late in the day and everything loaded on the truck. I was told I would receive a copy of the Bill of Landing via email once the office received the paperwork. I never received a copy.

    3) I opted to have my things kept in storage. Each time that I called, I was transferred around and told someone would call me back. I never received a call back.

    4) I had to reach out to them several times to obtain information on how to pay for storage and the cost.

    5) I sent an email on May 19, 2025, providing the address for delivery and requesting a delivery window of July 28 and August 1st. In this same email, I requested to have my belongings out of storage by July 24th. In a reply to this email, I was told that once my stuff is loaded and in transit an accurate ETA could be provided.

    6) Because of the reply from the company on May 19th, I expected an update by July 24th. I never received any communication from the company's end stating my belongings had been removed from storage and loaded for transit. I sent an email to get a status on July 23rd and was informed there was no ETA yet.

    7) I, once again, had to follow-up with the company on July 30th. I stated that I still had not heard anything from the company.

    a. I received a call at 7:30pm ET on July 30th from Donna. Saying the ETA was Monday or Tuesday (Aug. 4 or 5) and I would receive a call the day before.

    8) No one contacted me Sunday, Aug. 3. By Monday, Aug. 4 when I still had not heard from the company I called at 2:15pm and was told they couldn’t provide an update because they couldn’t reach their movers. I called back at 5:59pm and left a voicemail requesting a call back from a manager. At 7:10pm, I called again because I still did not receive any update as to when the movers would be out or hear back from a manager. I was told during this call the new ETA was the end of the week (week of Aug. 4th). I requested to speak with a manager and was told they had already left for the day.

    9) On Friday, August 8th, I still had not heard from a manager or your company. At that point, the company completely ghosted me. They were not returning any of my calls or emails. I reported the company to the BBB and FMCSA. I also filed a police report.

    10) On August 27, 2025, Amanda called me. She apologized for the delay in delivery. They changed their moving territory and had trouble finding a truck to get my personal belongings to PA. She said, once they found a truck, that truck broke down. She claimed they were working on getting a truck out to deliver my belongings.

    11) September 2, 2025, I followed up with Amanda. She stated they were still working on finding a truck to collect and deliver my belongings.

    12) September 8, 2025; requested a follow up from Amanda.

    13) September 11, 2025; followed-up with Amanda. Left a message stating I have not heard any updates and if I did not receive an update by the end of day, I was going to request a charge back for the Security Deposit, 50% of balance paid at pick-up, and the months of storage I paid for.

    14) I received a call back from Amanda. NOW THEIR STORY CHANGED. Amanda told me they had an employee that was responsible for collecting payments for storage and applying them to the units. Amanda claimed the employee did not do this and had since left the company. Amanda claimed that because payments were not being sent to my storage unit, my unit was auctioned off. Amanda stated there was no way to recover ANY of my personal belongings.

*** This company stole EVERYTHING. When I created an inventory for a lawyer, it came close to $20,000. This was traumatic for me. So many sentimental things that there is NO WAY of replacing. I was able to place a charge back and get the Security Deposit, 50% of the balance paid at pick-up, and the months of storage I paid for back. HOWEVER, I have not received 1 penny for my personal belongings. AVOID PERFECTLY FAST MOVING AT ALL COSTS!

I spent several hours on the phone with Victoria getting everything clarified for my move. I was told someone would be in contact a week before the move to do a video call and then 2 days prior to verify. I put a deposit of $1575 for a $4000 quote that included every item of furniture in my home. I then heard nothing. The move was scheduled to be picked up May 31 and dropped off next day *additional charge*, June 1. As I hadn't heard anything, I reached out on May 30th. Victoria assured me that everything was all set and good to go. That evening I received a call from Karl letting me know that they would NOT be here on May 31, they would arrive at 10am on June 1. I was also told at that time that it would not longer be delivered next day and would instead arrive 3-5 days later.

On May 31, Karl asked me what time worked best and I told him 12 would be perfect. He agreed. I then received a call June 1 to tell me they were running behind and they would arrive at 1:30pm. They finally arrived at 3:20pm. They immediately said they would need double what I was quoted to do the job. They sat in front of my house for 2 hours and then told one of the people helping me that they would do it for $9000- more than double what I was quoted. I was very clear about the space of my home and items included. They have refused to give me a refund at all and eventually left without saying anything to me. The sales reps and customer service dodged my phone calls all day. This was wildly unprofessional, unethical, expensive and exhausting. I'm out $1575 because they attempted to extort me for double.

Lora in sales quoted me $7100 for my move, including packers. I anticipated it would be a little higher as I added on a King size bed and kitchen set. The movers arrived with a U-Haul truck and packers from another company out of Phoenix, AZ. After packing and loading began, I was given a new estimate due now that was $5200.00 more!

I should have made them unload and leave, but I needed things moved. They didn't take everything, everything was an extra fees, even a tv tray set. I found water bottles and empty tape rolls everywhere, they did not clean up behind themselves. I got one month of free storage and Lora told me the max for monthly after that would be $350.00. Well, Guess what, that is now $795.00. I was never able to reach Lora, by phone or by email. A move that I was quoted $7100.00 for turned in to $13,100.00. The crew wasn't awful, they were nice but could have been more careful. I am sorry I sent them a tip since I found afterwards a couple of items broken and all the trash they left.

Updated on 05/04/2026: Excellent manager solved all my issues to my satisfaction. Excellent work. Stand behind what they do. Would recommend.

Original: Do not use this service. I repeat do not use this service. They screwed me over royally. I initially had a quote of $8,000. I ended up paying $23,000. They brought two trucks to take my stuff from my house. They put it in storage and then put it in one truck and brought it cross country for me. Now I paid for two trucks which means four drivers and helpers and that the one truck that came out wasn't even fully loaded and I still got charged to 23,000 plus I had many breakables. I had many dents, scratches. You name it, I've got it. Nobody's going to cover it. Do not use this company no matter what if you value your money, your peace of mind. It's been a nightmare.

DO NOT USE PERFECTLY FAST MOVING!!! You will see on BBB and other reviews that they have many complaints that are very similar to my experience. I moved from Portland, OR, to Oakland, CA. My initial quote, after walking through my 2-bedroom house & single-car garage listing every item(boxes, storage bags, furniture, and odd pieces), Andy ** told me that for that amount of items it would be 960 cubic feet and was going to be close to $7K. I let them know that I couldn't afford that. He put me on hold, and after coming back, told me he could give me a discount, and it would be $4K. Being unemployed and living on savings, I thought I couldn't walk away from that. Plus, they would give me 45 days of free storage (which I am grateful to this day). I was then told I had to put down a $1K deposit towards the move and sign the moving estimate document.

I called and emailed a week or so later, concerned that some of the items I listed were not on my articles list, and I was worried that this would affect the cost since they go by volume. I never got a call back from Andy. I called the office after waiting a couple of days, and they told me I would get a quality control call to go over the estimate to ensure they accounted for the number of articles. I received a call a week before the move. I went over what I had, sent pictures, and I was now told my estimate was 1395 cubic feet (an additional 700 cubic feet!), and my estimate was now $6400, and I needed to pay another $1K deposit. I asked if I could get rid of a few items, can I get the cost down? She told me yes, but the driver will decide on the final cost. I got rid of SEVERAL large items.

On move day, the estimate went up again, now they added an additional 200 cubic feet, and it would be an additional $2K! I was furious, and it felt like extortion. I had to be out of the rental property that day, what other choice did I have now!? I would need to pay a little over $4K, and the rest when they deliver my property. Then I am also told that I can't pay with a credit card/debit card (which is what I used to pay my deposits), I had to pay via Venmo, and they couldn't accept anything else!!! If it weren't for my daughter helping me with half, I would not have been able to pay.

On the day of delivery to my storage unit, they arrived at the wrong storage unit. I waited for almost 3 hours for them to arrive. Then they wanted to charge me over $200 to pay for their administrative error, but I refused and had to go through hoops to prove it was not my error. I was then told that when they arrived, I had to pay before they would unload the truck, and it would have to be Venmoed. Also, they would charge me an extra $150 per hour after the first hour to unload. I called the agent I worked with, and he sorted it out so I would not be charged the extra $200 and $150 per hour charge. The absolutely worst experience in moving I have ever had, and I have moved out of state 3 previous times.

Do not hire this company for your move. They are unreliable and they lie about their prices. I initially negotiated a very well priced move. The day before my move, they contacted me to go over my inventory, my inventory increased, so they charge me an additional $500 on top of my original price of $2500 but on the day of my move, the movers try to renegotiate and charge me an additional $2700, tagging on fee, after fee. I argued with their dispatcher about the fees, and had no choice to agree to some sort of price because I had to move. I agreed on a payment, but, on delivery day they wanted to charge me even more! When I refused to make any more payments, the delivery guy left all my stuff in the front entrance. Didn’t tell me He left, So all my stuff was sitting there for almost 45 minutes unattended. Do not use these people. They are liars and they will gouge you for every single dollar.

Originally they told me they use their own trucks, which was a lie, on the day of my move, three movers showed up in a Penske rental truck, they took all my boxes and personal items. Moved it into this rental truck, then relocated all of my items, I don’t know how many times, into several different trucks before it finally got to its final destination. The boxes were torn, bent and opened, my furniture was cracked and damaged. Something spilled all over my dressers and ruined them. I tried calling to make a claim and still to this day, I have not heard back. All they do is give me the run around. Again. Do not use them.

This company has been a horror. The movers were inexperienced and negligent. Our one-of-a-kind family heirlooms were broken. At first the manager said they would pay for repair and to provide an estimate. When we did, at a cost of almost $1600, we were ghosted. When we went above his head to the GM, were offered only $500 only. After some thought, we decided to take their offer and the response was, "F.them"! Now we will have to sue in small claims. Ours is not the only horror story. Get past the paid promos and you'll find this company is truly awful.
