Perennial Van Lines is a broker, not a direct moving company, so many reviews are based on the moving company and their mistakes rather than the broker. I had no issues personally using this broker. I read the reviews of any company they recommended, the representative was nice over the phone, and I did my homework before finally settling on a company that was in my price range and with whom I could agree.

My name is Desiree. This is the first time I have moved cross country. I am totally blind and a mother of 3 girls. I did not know a lot going in as to what to expect. However, every representative I spoke to I was clear that I did not have anyone on either side to help with moving big items and assembling items. I also said multiple times that I needed a moving company experienced in moving baby grand pianos. I was initially told by the rep on the phone that they had hubs in both places; my pick up location and my delivery. I was not aware that they would choose the 3rd party company that would help me and that I would have no say in which company they chose.

So you decide your day and where you wanted your pod to be dropped off. That Is the day the pods will show up and will actually leave the house that day too. We did also choose to pay for labour, so we hired Perennial Van Lines to lift our stuff. We were just the two of us, we do not have a lot of family in the area so it was a peace of mind for us, we did not have to worry about actually loading it up. So they were going to come up with the pods in their truck and they were going to load us up and once done they took it away to the U-Haul warehouse and our stuff was going to hang out there for a little bit. The only downfall to this system is about a 14day ship time so just plan accordingly. For us we are travelling for the first two weeks with our job so it did not really make a difference. We were given a drop off date which was a weekend and so I will have Monday off giving us an extra day to unload.

Old furniture, supplies that we do not need and anything that we can potentially buy on the other side of the country for a reasonable price. Some of the most important things we moved with us are our bedroom furniture, baby furniture and supplies and gear and both our vehicles.

TERRIBLE Experience! Wouldn't recommend Perennial Van Lines to anyone. Wish I could give a ZERO or NEGATIVE star! I have relocated multiple times across the country for work and never had a horrible experience as this! Signed a contract with them for a move across the country (2000+ miles) and they hired a moving company, MSN Logistics (Best Quality Movers) for the job. Listing out the issues -

If you are storing your container at one of the storage centres and would like access to your belongings simply call 24hours in advance. Your container will be ready for you when you arrive. If you are renting multiple containers it is a great idea to keep a list of container numbers along with a list of items that are in each one. When you need items right away you will know which container to ask for. Multiple containers can be delivered on the same day or one at a time. If space is limited and then simply swipe your full container with an empty one that is ready to load. If you need to schedule or reschedule your delivery or have any questions regarding your upcoming delivery call their toll free and a customer service agent will be happy to assist you as they assisted me.

The pod lift system is pretty maneuverable and can get into tight spaces, 12 feet of width and 15 feet of height is needed to make a delivery. I checked to make sure there is no obstruction such as low hanging branches, wires or awnings that could be in the way. The area should be clear of ice or snow as well and if possible have your container placed on a paved flat surface, a stable surface free from obstacles such as sprinkler heads and shrubbery is important. To prepare for the container delivery I cleared the place where I liked it to be placed. If the container is placed on parking lot reserve 3 parking spaces next to each other. The container will only take 1 parking space the other spaces on the side are needed to maneuver the container in place.

A week before the move I accepted the Contract as my container cannot be delivered without this. This gave me a chance to verify the addresses they will be delivering my container to and from and also confirmed where the container is to be placed on my property. I further confirmed my email, phone number and delivery date. My move was going to be large and so I was glad they could handle just about any size move. If you realize that you need additional containers you can add them at any time. You don't need to be there when the container is delivered but the more information provided the better the order can be fulfilled.

They dropped off a moving truck or relay queue and they gave me three business days to fill it up. We made sure to put heavy stuff in first then put boxes and other light things all around the heavy stuff and they were sure to tie down the heavy things in the truck, because the items will be moving, if you are not gonna use the entire truck that is awesome because you only pay what you use and when you are done it is time to put up the wooden boards or the bulkhead and if you did not fill up the whole truck, then you will have to put the wooden board wherever you fill it up to. In my case we filled the whole entire truck. That is why the bulkhead is close to the edge. They kept in contact with me the whole time and when you are done and ready to move the truck all you have to do is text them and they will be there the next day. The nice thing about this company is that they will hold your truck until you are ready for them to drop it off at the new place.

I just had a great experience with Perennial Van Lines. I had to reschedule my move date twice, and she was able to accommodate me no problem. The movers actually came 20 minutes early, but I was ready! Two man crew with very limited English, but still easy to communicate what is being moved and where to put stuff. They provide wardrobe boxes for free and wrap everything in cloth or plastic wrap. They will ask and confirm with you what needs to be moved and what's staying put. I only had a small studio apartment to move 5 minutes away from my old place. So it wasn't as difficult a move, but they got the job done in 2 hours on the dot. I just handed over the amount of cash that me and Wendy agreed upon and tipped each mover. Smooth, efficient, easy. Absolutely no complaints. Recommended.

I recently moved houses and when I was deciding to move, I was looking for a moving company that was affordable but would still give me good quality services. If I can save my coins I will save my coins. This is not my first rodeo. This is not my first time moving out. The first time I moved, I had a random guy who had a pick up, Just carry my things to and fro and we had to do a few trips as the vehicle space was small. At the end this was tiresome. Also I had to take part in the heavy lifting of things but when I tell you, I did not have to lift a finger this time around with Perennial Van Lines, they did literally everything.

Delight to work with and they made everything easy for us. They were punctual, efficient, and careful with our belongings. The price was also very reasonable. And on top of that - they did everything in record time.

Perennial was not the cheapest price but had a fair package. The problem came with booking and follow up. While they couldn't "guarantee" the date of delivery I was very specific about my needs. They claimed to have confirmed with truck that we should be safe based on the booking date. However, they became noncommunicative, said 2-10 day delivery. Emailed back to say I would cancel if they couldn't communicate, within the 72 hours. Finally got return call and said they had another truck but no real time frame on delivery. Would not return deposit. Very very bad transparency, disappointed as I had read good reviews. Stay away unless you have lots of flexibility.

Numerous employees gave me the wrong information. They assured me I would be protected from overcharging and my furniture being held hostage was NON EXISTENT. They went back on their word; the procedures at pickup were totally suspicious. Charged more than what we agreed. Drop off procedures shady and not transparent. More charges at drop off.

On move-out day, A Crew of three guys including the “fragile item” packer (I can’t recall her name), came at the appointed time and packed the moving truck without mishap in a quick and orderly fashion. They were highly experienced and knowledgeable, and a pleasure to work with. On move-in day several states away, The long-distance driver, arrived at the appointed time with two local movers to assist. The unloading of the moving van, and the arranging of heavy furniture was done quickly, with a smile. This, despite the fact that the condo elevator was out-of-service and the guys had to walk everything up to the third floor.

Right from my initial inquiry I was impressed because the manager, came by himself to assess our home's contents. He came within days to supply us with a moving estimate. When my packing time arrived, I was super delighted and grateful when I learned I could stop by their office/warehouse to pick up gently used boxes for packing use for free (if available). Several times I stopped by to retrieve boxes and packing materials and each time, the office manager, was gracious and accommodating. The friendly warehouse workers would even help me load the boxes into my vehicle, which I really appreciated, too.

Perennial Van Lines is a professional company that will broker shippers for you to move your belongings when you move to a new home. Their prices are competitive, and you will get your items in good condition. However, it is important to note that they are brokering the move and hiring another company to do the actual shipping and delivery. So you might be able to save money by going directly to a moving company, since PVL clearly takes their cut. But despite that I found their rate fair and equal to that of other big name moving companies. The reason I'm not giving them a perfect 5 is because it was my understanding that I'd receive my goods on Feb 2, but I didn't actually get them until Feb 13. Clearly that was because the company they hired waited on shipping my items until having many other households in my same area to deliver to.

Even before the move the communication team was great, from the walkthrough and estimates, to communication, and their patience when we had to reschedule 5 times. On moving day The moving crew were friendly and considerate and not complaining when they had to move our 300 pound treadmill up from the basement then down to the basement. They wrapped each piece of furniture and handled it like it was their own. We moved into a new house without a driveway or sidewalk so the only way in was all mud, they covered our floors with plastic and when they left there wasn't a footprint anywhere.

They had a team of 9 people helping my family deal with my Dad's house, for two days. Saying it was not an easy job, is a tremendous understatement... They worked ever so fast. Our situation was not a normal one, and they dealt with it respectfully. My Dad and I are so grateful for help we hired from this company. The owner came and met my family, when he brought his staff lunch. From the first phone interaction, to the final attention to detail, along with being understanding of the whole situation... They truly handled all of it, with care.

I purchased a couple new rocker recliners at a big box store and got them home in a trailer and realized I needed help, I Looked online and found this company. Asked if they could do a small job for us, moving out an old couch and bringing in the new chairs. The front desk called and arranged the move for the next day and gave us a quote. She was great to talk and text with. The guys called on time when they were a 1/2 hour away. They were cheerful, helpful, kind, even vacuumed the floor before bringing in the new chairs. They were so professional and took great care about how they did the work, I never once was concerned about the furniture or my walls.

A team of two worked so well together. They called an hour before arriving letting me know they were on their way and arrived right on time. They surveyed my contents and planned accordingly. Handled my boxes and furniture with ease. I had my doubts that my home would be loaded in one 16 ft POD. The Team kept assuring me that all would fit perfectly. I was looking at them creating a puzzle and made everything fit perfectly. I asked Tim to save me an area to include last-minute content as my wife is disabled and needed her content until the last minute and he sure did. Even instructed me how to place the items correctly.

My wife and I have accumulated a lot furniture over the years and just the thought of moving was getting overwhelming. We called this company to help move our large antique clock, They went above and beyond, padding and wrapping our stuff and everything was meticulously carried out of the house, Around tight turns and staircases, Of particular concern was the very large, heavy and fragile Howard Miller clock that my parents gave us for our 1st anniversary that has a lot of curved glass as well as 120 year old Cherry dining table and chairs we inherited. We had 4 crew members total and 2 were crew leaders. They expressed teamwork to ensure I had a smooth move.
