Ripoff company. They offered me a very low price, and even I had much less stuff than initially they raised the price. They sent me truck from EZ Movers, but when driver raised the price they refused to negotiate it, even in their policy says they have to help with price negotiations. They took 1,500 on top of EZ Movers charge. When I asked "why you took this money," it no answer. What is their participation in the process, they just found a client for EZ Movers. Plus, my furniture had multiple damages after this moving service, but no refund. I would not recommend anyone this business, only to my enemies.

When I called to arrange my move, all was perfect, representative was so responsive and helpful that I got lured in. Set up a delivery date two weeks from the pickup date to guarantee this exact day. All was well. I was very detailed and conservative on the online inventory estimation to have as few surprises as possible. And then the pickup date came... Movers gave me almost the double sq footage of what I was quoted for. I had nothing to do but pay this ransom... But then as the delivery date was approaching, I found out that my stuff is still at destination and will arrive about a week after initially agreed. I had numerous conversations with customer service and was basically told to plea to the moving company directly because there was nothing they could do. Fantastic...

And then when I flexed a muscle and said it would be reflected in my review, the woman from customer service basically cursed and hang up the phone. Few days later I got to talk to her supervisor who was nice and sympathetic but nothing changed in the state of the matters – my things were still 1000 miles away. By the end of our conversation this lady said "Now I'm going to send you a review link and if you give us 5 stars, then I'm going to refund you $50 for your inconvenience." So bribing for a review – that's a good one... Wonder if I will be refunded after I give my HONEST opinion...

The long distance move which I booked with National Moving Group turned out to be a week long nightmare. My agent Erik ** was wonderful until things started going wrong, then he would not answer my calls for help. Elizabeth and Tami in customer service were worthless, rude, and unprofessional. My move was scheduled between 9am and noon. The outsourced movers, Super Movers & Storage, finally showed up at 8:45pm! The driver, Mohammad, complained from the beginning that the estimate was underweight. One thing Erik assured me of was that there would be no problem with the estimate because things even out. By 11:30 pm with the truck loaded I'm signing under duress for an additional $1093 to get them out of my house. No one can be reached at National even though they assure you of after hours assistance if there are problems.

At delivery Mohammad was demanding cash instead of money order. He threatened to take our furniture to storage and charge us for storage because my husband was questioning the weight difference which was thousands of lbs. different from the estimate. He won, but I finally got my furniture! My furniture was damaged, a lamp is missing, a steel door was scraped and gouged by them forcing the legs of a sofa through it. I had to borrow tools from a neighbor at 10pm because they had no tools with them to disassemble the bed and mirror which was part of the contract. This is the short version of the complaint I have filed with the Better Business Bureau on both companies. No one should ever have to go through what we did with all the promises made at signing. Tell everyone you know to avoid these two companies so you won't live the nightmare we did!!!

My move was not going well at first, which was caused by the moving company that was assigned the job. I had many problems dealing with them and getting them to respond/reply with accurate estimates on when my move would be delivered. I finally came to the realization that maybe National Moving Group would have more success in getting a response from the moving company. I was fully prepared to be told to deal with the moving company about any problems or complaints, but Tami (my service rep at NMG) was able to resolve all of my problems with the moving company quickly. She followed up with me and even offered a $50 refund for my troubles and assured me that National Moving Group will never send work to the company that was causing all of the delays and cost issues. I should have called NMG as soon as I started experiencing problems with this other moving company, as they were quick to resolve any and all problems.

Thus far, our experience with this company has been horrible! It started with the lies and misleadings from rep, Joe, who lied about price, duration of time to get our things, and many other things. He told me to call him on his cell often, where the lies and misleadings weren't recorded. In my opinion, he should be fired! I've never used a moving company before and he knew that, so he took full advantage of my ignorance!!

Then, after two weeks (which our things were promised to arrive after one week), when I called National to find out where on Earth our things were, I was told your company had NO idea where our things were! This was extremely stressful for us as we have in our things, photos, my son's things who had passed away, and other things which cannot be replaced!! Rep Tammy, worked hard to find out where our things were and is the ONLY one so far who deserves the five stars!! So to be clear, the stars are NOT for the company but for Tammy only!! Thank you!

I called National moving group to moving my furniture from Mississippi to San Antonio. Even thought it cost more money than U-Haul I felt it was a good decision. I was wrong. I was told my stuff would be picked up on Sunday the 12th between noon and 6. I was told a driver would call me with a exact time. No one ever called or showed up. Then I received a text message saying they would be there at noon then another text saying between 2 and 5. The driver finally showed up at midnight. I called that Tuesday to discuss the issue. I was told I would receive a discount, but they had to work on it. This took a week to figure out my discount. Since I moved into a two story house they wouldn't charge me to move my stuff upstairs. I dint have a problem with that cause at this time I just want my stuff. Someone called me on Sunday and told me they would be there Monday. No one called or showed up.

I get a call Tuesday. The caller said someone would be here between 1-4. At some 6 the mover showed up. They can't put my furniture back together because they don't have any tools. My bed posts are broke and box spring dirty and tore up. They were in a mattress cover when I shipped them. I am missing parts off my bed. I cannot put my bed together because of broken pieces and missing parts. I need to buy a new bed. I will update tomorrow on how they handle it. I'm not willing to wait another week for them to handle this. I will be contacting a lawyer tomorrow.

National Moving Group is a broker company. They contract with other movers to actually do the work. When you sign an agreement with National Moving Group, the actual drivers that pick up, drive and load do not have to follow the contract you signed. I experienced many discrepancies when the driver arrived to pick up. It was so bad that I thought I was being scammed. National Moving Group could do nothing about it. National Moving Group's customer service was poor, but even if it was good, they can't do anything to help the day of pickup. The quote was so severely off that I believe they misquoted me on purpose to get my business. If this review causes one person to go with a different company, it is worth it. My experience was miserable. I could have paid the competitors the same and at the very least, experienced some level of transparency. Please use a different company. National Moving Group is not a good moving solution.

UPDATED ON 11/01/2016: I addressed a specific concern about working with a contractor of National Moving Group. When asked, Tommy (the company representative) quickly confirmed that the drivers were "affiliates, not contractors." The definition of affiliate is, "a person or organization officially attached to a larger body" or "officially attach or connect (a subsidiary group or a person) to an organization." The official connection implies to a consumer that the driver works with the same contract agreed upon by the consumer and National Moving Group. We found out on our moving day that the driver is actually a contracted company working on a completely different set of terms and conditions. I feel like we were purposely mislead in order to gain business. We experienced many discrepancies when the driver arrived to pick-up:

National Moving Group told us the driver would arrive between 8AM and Noon on Saturday and that we would get a call 30 minutes or 60 minutes prior to his/her arrival. At 11:30AM, we had not received a call. After contacting National Moving Group, we were told the driver would call within 5 minutes. That did not happen. The driver finally called and arrived after 1:30 PM. Upon arrival, the driver told us that he had been sleeping and he did not know about the pickup until Saturday morning.

Upon arrival, the driver did his inspection of items to be moved. He came back into the apartment with an updated price based on cubic feet. We were told specifically by Tommy at National Moving Group to go by weight, not cubic feet. I even asked Tommy to take cubic feet off of the contract altogether, not understanding why it would be on there if it was not important. I talked to the driver's manager and he said the cost would be significantly lower with cubic feet and that his goal was, "to save us money." This is the opposite of what our salesman, Tommy told us. I feel like were purposely mislead in order to gain business.

After we decided again (based on advice from Tommy) to go with weight, the driver told us he did not come prepared for that because he didn't know we were paying by weight. Our contract was based on weight the entire time based on advice from Tommy. We were not given the chance to watch the truck weight (which the company is required to do) and when we asked, we were told we would not get our stuff if we required it.

The driver tried to charge us $750 for an extra flight of steps. This is after we worked with Tommy specifically on the number of stairs to enter the apartment. The driver quickly changed his mind to $150, but upon showing him the updated contact, he agreed to remove. The driver tried to charge us for packing. We did all packing prior to the move according to instructions from Tommy. We did need and expect to have blankets and tape used to wrap the dressers, couch and chair, but that was specified in the contract as included. The driver told his manager that we needed "lots of packing" which just was not true. The driver reversed that when I told National Moving Group that I would face-time in order to prove.

The driver manager tried to sell us on packing as well, but backed off when we reminded him of the insurance provided in our contract with National Moving Group. It is not a full policy, but it is 60 cents per lb, up to $10,000. The estimate we received from Tommy was 50% lower than the final price. Either Tommy is incapable of making an accurate estimate. Our final list was only five boxes off the original list that the quote was based off of. You can't tell me that five boxes equal 2,500 lbs. Tommy assured me that if anything, the price would be lower because he over estimated. Or The contracted moving company put items on the truck after our pickup in an effort to raise the weight and therefore our price. Either option is unacceptable.

Because the driver did not come prepared to determine weight, he had to leave to get the truck weighed. Apparently the closest weigh in station, 16 miles way, was closed. Sixty minutes later, he called to say that he had to drive to Mebane and that it would take him 1 hour to return. Mebane is approximately 30 miles from Durham so that made sense. The driver never returned and said later that he had to go 64 miles to Mebane. Mebane is not 64 miles away so that information is not accurate.

The manager of the driver and Frank from National Moving Group confirmed 100% that the driver would return on Sunday between 7AM and 8AM. We did not hear from the driver until Frank (an alternate company rep because Tommy was nowhere to be found) called him Saturday morning at 8:20. The driver finally showed up at 8:45, 45 minutes after his team confirmed. Frank even said on Saturday night that, "you have no other option than to trust that he [the driver] will arrive between 7AM and 8AM tomorrow morning."

The driver assured us that we would receive the final weight on Sunday. This only came after repeated calls to both the driver manager and Frank. Frank admitted to his incapability of assisting us over text. He indicated we needed to work details out with the contracted driver, which is the opposite of what Tommy told me.

The driver tried to get us to sign a new contract indicating he had 21 days to deliver our items. We did not sign. We informed him that we signed a contract with National Moving Group that included a 7-day delivery timeline. Even if National Moving Group had good customer service, they cannot do anything about challenges because they are the brokers.

The most disappointing part was when the company asked us to sign a word document stating we would not get our stuff if we provided a negative review. A word document and any payment made in cash is not professional. It was my mistake as a consumer for not following up on reviews for this company. The good reviews are fake profiles and the negative reviews are real consumers.

The company is not reputable. Shame on me for trusting. They have a DOT number and have the proper paperwork filed, but they are not honest. If this review causes one person to go with a different company, it is worth it. Go ahead and pay for and use a reputable company. You might have challenges, but you will not question whether its a scam or not.

I have mixed emotions: Ordering was extremely upsetting. Brandon claimed time and time again NMG was different because you weighed items, not by how much room was taken up in the truck. So I sold some very expensive but heavy items so I wouldn't have to pay to haul. Then when they came to load my stuff THEY CHARGED ME PER SQUARE FOOT which is EXACTLY what Brandon told me time and time again you didn't do that made your company different. He straight up lied and was extremely deceiving. It was recorded via phone so I would appreciate if that was dealt with. I know that he brings in a lot of business but there are other ways to do it than lying.

Pick up company was great! Couldn't be more satisfied. Delivery was more than disappointing - box was lost, things were damaged, & driver trashed my yard. Still haven't received package. Tami was AMAZING! She took care of me and has done everything in her power to solve all the issues the drivers created! I could not be more happy with my customer service from her. She deserves so much from you guys. Without her, I would be probably suing your company. Things are not completely worked out yet but they are getting figured out thanks to her.

This was the worst experience I have ever had with ANY company, not just movers. Here's a summary of what happened: Among other hassles, National committed an administrative error that resulted in a two-week delay in the delivery of my shipment of household goods and cost me several hundred dollars. I emailed National to schedule my delivery and then called the next day to confirm everything was all set. National confirmed that we were good to go and that my delivery was scheduled as requested.

I waited about two weeks and called back a few days before the scheduled delivery in order to re-confirm that we were on schedule. At this time, National realized they had failed to take any action on my request. They had simply sat on the information for the previous two weeks. The rep I was working with, Thomas **, blamed the error on National's customer service department. The customer service department blamed it on Thomas.

Because of this delay, I was forced to spend several hundred dollars on temporary housing while I waited for my shipment of household goods to arrive. Not only did National Moving Group deny my request to be reimbursed for my additional expense, they were incredibly difficult to work with. On six different occasions, their customer service department failed to follow up with me on the timeline they promised. As soon as they had my money, they basically stopped paying any attention to me. Avoid this company at all costs!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY TO MOVE YOUR ITEMS! My move from Washington to Chicago took thirty - 30! - days with National. I was constantly shifted to different personnel and given empty promises. Boxes were crushed and a bed was damaged - but given National's service throughout the process it was not worth fighting over since I knew there would be no response. I was also promised on multiple occasions that I would receive a credit due to the insane amount of time it took to receive my items. However, once my items did finally arrive no one from National would return my calls.

I would ABSOLUTELY recommend that anyone looking to move find a different company to work with. Unless, of course, you enjoy not knowing where your personal items are for weeks on end and then enjoy having them arrive rain-damaged from sitting in a storage unit somewhere. National uses - from my experience - the absolute lowest-cost subcontractor drivers possible and pieces off the move to multiple companies. What's worse, it is painfully evident that National is not able to adequately manage this subcontracts and for four weeks I was never able to determine where my items actually were. The entire process was very stressful and one of the worst service experiences I have ever had.

I ran into some problems with the movers, but Tammie from customer service was very helpful in mitigating the situation.

    Original Review: April 26, 2016

National Moving Group is a broker of moving service. They subcontracted the move to some random moving companies, and that's when my nightmare starts. It has been 3 weeks and I still haven't received my items. I called many people to track down where my stuff is located currently and no one could give me an actual status. The moving company that National contracted was subpar and was very rude. I was lied to, hung up on, and yelled at. I am very unhappy with the situation. This wouldn't have happened if I knew from the start that National is only a broker.

The communication between National and the movers are very difficult. Tammie at National customer service has been very helpful, and this is the only reason I am giving this Company a 2 stars. She helped me with contacting the movers and followed-up with me like promised. The experience dealing with the sales and the customer service was not bad. As I said it has been three weeks, I still haven't got any status on my shipment. When you pay for such an expensive service, you would assume that is a very minimum that anyone could provide. I hope National 1) find better movers, 2) let potential customers know what their role is when selling the service.

He probably took 10 calls from me and was always patient and helpful, giving me valuable information on how to work with the movers. Tami might be my guardian angel. While my items were in transit she took AMAZING care of me, definitely putting my interests first and being the ultimate liaison between me and the delivery. If I could, I'd fly to Florida and give her a big hug and a homemade pie to say thank you! The lady over the phone is very helpful with any problems that we faced. We moved cross country from New York to Arizona and the actual movers we had problems with but National helped us out and resolved the issues. Would recommend to someone.

    Original Review: April 25, 2016

If you want to move cross country and have all of your valued possessions completely ruined and destroyed then this is the company for you! Not to mention that there was motor oil completely covering many items making them not only completely ruined but the smell was so disgusting it makes you wonder if the movers bathe in it. I would never have considered moving cross country if I would have known that the people taking "care" of my items were so careless.

You wonder if all of the stuff actually came, considering there was no checklist of what made it and what didn't. They told us that they were going to be here on Monday with all of our stuff, not coming in until Friday. Good thing they didn't unwrap any of my items because they knew just how damaged everything is and how every single dresser was missing all of its handles. I would have rather sold all of my precious belongings HANDMADE by my grandfather than have it come to me completely ruined. A FEW attached images show how terrible all of our stuff was handled. They put tape on the back of our wooden tables causing the tape to take off the finish. As simple as a brand new television I just bought won't turn on at all. It's safe to say that I would never recommend a place like you to anyone, not even Satan.

National Moving had a very nice agent who talked to us and told us what they do and how everything was going to be great. So we decided to do business with them. The whole thing turned out to be very stressful and unsatisfactory. They set a date and it was three weeks before we had to be out of the house. So we were in our house with a limited amount of furniture because we didn't move everything in the house.

On moving day, Eden's Moving in Denver showed up on the doorstep. They said they left a message on my cellphone but they're supposed to call a half an hour before. We didn't want to move that morning. We called National Moving Group and they weren't kind at all in helping us move the date. The movers were already there so we decided to go ahead and load it up. They told us that it's going to cost us more money. We called National back and they didn't provide any support at all about it. So the movers packed up the furniture, took it to Denver and put it into storage.

When we got here in Phoenix, the movers called and told us the things would be here any time between March 12 and three weeks from March 12, and it was the contract. We didn't like it. Eden's truck showed up. It was a rental cab and a trailer that had graffiti all over it. It's not very professional at all. Things came and the boxes were squashed. They unloaded our things and brought them up. We are on a second floor so they brought it up in the elevator instead of carrying up the stairs. We had one empty bedroom which they filled up about three-fourths with everything that we couldn't put in other places and charged us $125 because it was more than 75 steps away from the apartment. As they said, they had a second story stairs charge or elevator charge but they didn't charge us that.

Overall, they added it up and it was somewhat more than $4000 compared to the to $2500 they initially estimated for us. We got a really low-ball estimate of the move based upon the number of boxes we thought we’d need and everything. But when they counted the boxes and during the load up of the truck process, it turned out to be more and I had to pay more money. I wasn't expecting to pay that much. They told me that I had to have a cashier's check to give to the movers when they had finished and I did that. Other charges I was able to put on a credit card which was okay. It was not a good move. We only interacted with National on the first couple of calls. The rest of it was with Eden's Moving Services. I hated everything from the very first person I talked to on the phone.

When I was moving to Ohio, they picked up my furniture when they said they would and delivered it sooner than they said. They lost a couple of my chairs and a couple of things got broken but it wasn't any big deal. They did make the move stress-free. Every one of the movers worked non-stop but they still didn't frown. This 5 stars customer service rating is for Tamy ** only, not for the National moving group. While the company, several of its employees (particularly Zack and Liz) and company's vendors left a very negative impression, Tamy has been extremely helpful and attentive through the whole process. It looks like she was the only person among everyone I've spoken to, who actually wanted to solve the issue and help finalize the move. When I originally booked moving services with Zack, he provided a lot of misleading and false information about the moving process (pick up and delivery dates, insurance specifics, etc). He told me I would be notified one week ahead of time about exact dates, but later I learned that your company provides pick up and delivery dates only one day before, which contradicted previous statements from Zack and rules of both move in/move out properties.

I had to call many times to find out when my move in date is going to be and when I'll be send a certificate of insurance, but no one would give me an answer. I have spoken to Liz, her supervisor (I don't recall his name), and members of the actual moving company (Gaby and Chris), but they had given me different information each time I called and promised to call back later in the day with an update, and of course, none of them called back. So I had to call again and again to hear a different lie.

Tamy was able to understand my concerns and specific requirements from my building (certificate of insurance 72 hours ahead of time, elevator reservation, etc). She got on top of the situation and was able to arrange insurance and move in date. She called me back several times to make sure I have everything I needed for the move. You should promote people like Tamy and replace others with more qualified candidates. If you don't do it, horrible customer service experience will kill your company. I would never recommend your company to anyone.

Transparency with your customers should be a key in logistics services. You cannot trick people into signing the contract by providing false information (and I have to admit: I should have read the contract more carefully instead of listening to your employees and vendors), and then just do nothing because you got your money and you don't care. I never moved to a different state, but I moved several times over the last 6 years and I export luxury automobiles for a living between US, Europe, Russia and China (20-40 units per month), so as you can see I have worked with moving/brokerage/logistics companies a lot. I can state that my experience with your company was the worst and cannot be compared with anything else.

I have to add, I still haven't received the glass dining table top and 2 metal threaded rods that connect table top to its base. Those 3 items weren't delivered with the rest of my stuff. The driver said people from the warehouse forgot to load those items on the truck. He showed me a picture on his phone to make sure that the top that they had in a warehouse was in fact my table top, and yes, it was.

The driver got a $150 parking ticket and told me I'll have to pay upon delivery of my missing items. When I said I'm not going to pay it, because it's not my responsibility, he replied that I'll have to go buy a new table if I don't pay the ticket, then he turned around and left. That kind of attitude is not acceptable when a customer pays about $2200 to move 1br apartment from DC to NYC. And it's not cheap either, I pay $2500 for container from US to China (just a little comparison for you). Therefore, being trustworthy and attentive is the least you can do for your customers. I still hope you will deliver my things tomorrow - Friday, April 22. Again, Tamy - 5 stars, National Moving Group - 1 star. I hope you will improve.

I did a Google search for a moving company and National Moving Group was the cheapest. They were willing to do the move for $3000 - $1000 upfront and then at different parts of the move, they wanted the other $2000. What's weird is that they hounded me for that $1000 off the credit card - that's why I didn't go with them right away.

National Moving Group ripped us off. They took $1090 payment but we didn't go with them because they ended up wanting to charge us more and give us a smaller truck than what we originally ordered. I gave them a list of everything that I was moving but then I forgot a couple of things but it wasn't too many. However when I talked to them the second time, the representative said that was going to cost me a lot more money. We originally ordered a tractor-trailer but the rep said she was going to send a 26-foot truck instead. We wouldn't have been able to move everything with that truck. We eventually went with a different moving company but National never put our money back in our credit card. Something's got to happen. They didn't do anything so they shouldn't have that money.

I decided to go online and I had a bunch of quotes from moving companies. I went with National Moving Group because of their price but the quote that I first got from them was wrong. The representative during purchasing process was professional. However they said online that they'll give a 65% discount, but they didn't. There was another $200 that I didn't see either, which they said was built-in. But we finally got it all figured out. They said I had 15,000 pounds but I don't believe it. I never did see the weight difference out for it though.

It's my first and last time using their service. I told them my preference date for the move - the 25th and 26th. At first, a person named Jeff told me that they could come on the 23rd and 24th but later on called again to tell me that they won't be here until the 27th. They sucked as well. They didn't package things right. They just put them in a box without marking them. When they got to the house for delivery, the driver told my daughter to stand at the front door and tell us where things had to go. My tractor is torn up plus they took a part of my motorcycle but didn't put it back together and put it in different places. I'm rummaging through the stuff to find it. They didn't put anything on the floor as well. The carpeting was torn up and it was all muddy.

Half the stuff got thrown in the garage and they never asked where to put it. I had speakers, amplifier, and a receiver that should have been at a certain place but they weren't. Also, they were asked to put something up in the backyard but they tried to move it through the kitchen. It wouldn't fit so they just stacked it in the garage and left it there. I'm still going through the garage since there are so much stuff there that belongs in the house. When I say I want to file a claim, they put somebody on the phone that can hardly speak English but who says she is the CEO of the company.

However, when they came, they charged me an additional $450 because they said they couldn’t get the truck in the storage facility. They had to rent a smaller U-Haul and I had to pay for it. There should have been a comment about extra expense, whether or not there would be something in order to expedite if there was any problem. I told them where it was in a storage facility and the truck that they got should have been able to handle going in there without me having to pay a separate, additional fee.

Other than that, I have no problems with National Moving Group. It's their subcontractor's service that I do not like. Communication is lousy. Original Review: April 19, 2016

The people that we dealt with over the phone from National Moving Group were really nice but the experience overall has been awful and terrible. The movers called us the day before and said they’d be there from 8 to 10, so my husband got up really early in the morning and got everything gathered and waited, and then at 11:00, he called me and he said they’d be there 30 minutes later. We then called them to ask where they were and what's going on. They said, “We’ll be there between 4 and 5.” So at 4, my son had been taking a nap, I woke him up and we drove over. They called us and said, “We’re gonna be three hours late.” They arrived 8 at night and we waited 12 hours, past the time that they had set in the morning which it wasn’t their fault because they had a flat tire. But they could have called me and the communication was awful.

When they arrived, they walked into the house and immediately asked for a tip. The first thing that they said was “You know we get a 10% tip, right?” That was obviously an issue because it wasn’t very professional and that's pretty bad, not because we didn’t want to tip them. They should do their job first before they ask for a tip. Then the guy didn’t even explain the price and charged us for a crate that he never discussed with us. When he sat down with my husband to sign the thing, he simply said, “Here, sign here,” and didn’t go over the paper at all with him. In addition, some of our furniture is broken and we’re missing the Diaper Genie which is $40.

I called their customer service line and said the moving crew asked me for tip immediately as they walked in. I said he hasn’t even done his job yet, we haven’t even signed any paper, how can he demand us to give him 10%? They called the guy and he came up to my husband afterwards. He said that my husband got him in trouble and he's got a family. Also, I had spoken to Tina who's been really nice and gave us a discount because we were charged extra. But I was upset about the whole experience. The move was hard and didn't go smoothly.

I looked through websites and chose the National Moving Group. The rate was fairly competitive with the other rates that I looked at. The gentleman who helped me, the representative, was good in explaining things to me. The purchasing process was okay, but I did have a complaint with doing it over the phone. I am not experienced in moving myself and I told the young man what we were looking for. Other than that, I didn’t have many problems with the National Moving Group itself. Their people in the office were good. But I did have problems with the moving people themselves. The van line sucked. We had a four-bedroom house and a number of furniture and stuff that needed to be moved. I gave all that information, but then when the movers came in, they didn’t bring a big enough truck and they did everything by weight. I had to leave some things back at the old house and give stuff away like ladders and compressors.

We couldn’t even get my bike. I even asked them to load and pack my trailer, but I ended up having to bring my bike and trailer down myself. These guys also charged me so much money for the number of boxes that they were using. We started out with a $5,000 bill. By the time we ended up, I was paying over $8,000. It was a total fiasco. They broke my wife’s china, dishes, and crystal. They put a couple of tears on my wife’s dining room set like the chairs. We got to get those reupholstered. They're also supposed to put the mattress covers on the mattresses. They didn’t do that. They dragged them through their truck and the bottom was super dirty. All our stuff here is in good shape and fantastic. We take care of them, so their service was disappointing.

I haven’t completed the forms yet because we haven’t completely unpacked. We've been here now for about a month. My wife and I are putting things together. We're both a little bit under the weather. They didn’t put stuff back together. They came in late. At 10:00 or 11:00 o’clock at night, they were still here trying to unpack. We moved in a decent timeframe, though. We had no problem with that. It was just the services that they provided. The experience was a chaos.

Our move with National was fast and efficient. Their movers did exactly what they were supposed to do, but I had a problem with the end cost of it. What happened was I agreed to go with them after I got a quote from Kyle, who suddenly was no longer working for the company when I actually needed him. He told me that if I had anything else, I could always add it up to a reasonable amount and would have kept my cost as such. But I was not given the final cost when the movers came to pick up my belongings. Instead, they packed everything up and then told me that they're going to have to weigh it and then they would tell me how much it is.

So from $1255 when Kyle came, it went up by another $260 or $290. In the end, I paid approximately $2,000 to move 3100 pounds. I was told that it should have never cost me that much by any other movers, but they've already packed my things and I needed them. I would have chosen another company and paid at least $800 less had I not already been locked into this one. I was ripped off. I would not recommend using this service to any of my friends. They weren't terrible, but I should've just done a better research.

National Moving Group had the best estimate for what I was needing but my experience with them was not that great. I was told that it would be about ten business days. Once they were on the road, they said it will be ten business days from my first day of available delivery. According to when they picked it up, they were about 20 days. Also, one of the reasons they were delayed was one of their trucks broke down and no one called to let me know. They had no communication so I was wondering where my stuff was. I called them and asked where my stuff was and that's when they informed me they had truck issues that they had to unload my stuff and load it up onto another vehicle.

And their estimation was not close enough to what real items were. The actual price was $800 more than what their initial quote was because of the weight discrepancy. They need to rewrite their estimating software because they said that my stuff was about 1300 pounds more than what their initial estimate was, based on my content list that I gave them. That's a huge gap. We only had six or seven boxes. It’s hard to estimate the weight of a box because no one knows what's in it, but the rest of the stuff was a dresser , a nightstand and a single bed, which should be easy to estimate. They said that I would be getting information when everything was picked up, and I never received a re-rate. They never contacted me until the guy called me yesterday to say he'll be here tomorrow to deliver my stuff and informed me of my balance. I called the company this morning, and asked me why it’s different. So they're like holding me hostage.

I researched National Moving Group online. The quote they gave me was cheaper than renting a U-Haul and doing everything myself so I decided to get their service. My experience with them was okay. The only thing I didn't like is that they outsource. I didn't realize that they get an outside company and I ended up paying a lot more than what I was originally quoted. They were able to do the move within a decent time frame and the companies they hired to do it were very nice.

The first company that they hired to move my stuff however wasn't there at the allotted time. Furthermore they called me two hours after the time they should have been there to tell me they weren't gonna be there until 10:00 at night, when they were supposed to be there no later than 4:00. So I called the National Moving Group. They outsourced it to a different company and told the first company to not show up. Still, that first company showed up after midnight but they didn't get my service but the second company they outsourced the job to was good.

One of the representatives was really friendly and was able to get me half of the cost of what I've been quoted at before. The three-part deposit and pickup worked out fine. That was a good way to break everything down and the cost was within my budget for everything. I move frequently in my line of work and National Moving Group helped me out. Everybody was great and everything went right according to plan. I had a great experience. They were courteous and helpful. I told them I would always come back to see what they can do for me. Original Review: April 16, 2016

It was my first time using National Moving Group, and my experience was not a good one. The guy that I spoke to made it sound like a cakewalk, so I went with them. He said they do the right price and get the job done properly, but the company that they hired to do the work screwed me around. The movers came, they took my belongings, which I didn’t see for two and a half weeks. And when I got my belongings, most of them were broken. Also, they only sent the driver. There was no helper. He had to unhook the box here, leave it in front of my house and go find somebody, and then come back to do the work. Moreover, he couldn’t find half of my stuff because it was mixed in with other people’s stuff.

My experience really stunk. I worked with Dahill Mayflower as a lease driver 35 years ago, and I know what it is to be a mover and how to handle people’s stuff. I know how to treat the customers, and there’s a right way and a wrong way. I got shafted the wrong way down the road. I wouldn’t recommend those people to move a doghouse.

I put into a site that I was trying to move and got random bids from several carriers, and I found National Moving Group. The bid that they gave was lower than the others so I went with them. Apparently, they're a broker and grossly underestimated the cost of my move. I told them all the items that were on my move, that I will be moving, and the number of boxes which maybe different by no more than five. The movers came and itemized everything. What they did is like a bed would be three pieces--one for the box spring, one for the mattress, and one for the frame--instead of one piece. They piecemealed off my items like that to try to justify a higher charge. I ended up paying $1500 or more than their actual bid and it’s certainly disappointing, to say the least.

The moving company that they contracted overpromised and under-delivered the amount of time that it was going to take to ship my stuff and they couldn’t give me a window. The movers didn’t know when my things were going to arrive. I thought it was lost because initially after my belongings were packed, I was told that it will be delivered in Atlanta in three days. So I prepared for my things to be delivered in three days and when that didn’t happen, they kept on telling me two or three more days, until the driver finally called and told me that he was 10 minutes away. I never knew that he was really going to show up because their window wasn’t reliable and it went over.

There were two movers who met at my house and they were waiting for him. They told me that they were contracted by the moving company and they would do any move within 75 miles of Atlanta. However, I find out that the driver has hired these movers from Craigslist. Then there was a disagreement about the price of what they were going to pay to the two movers and they walked off the job with my belongings on the street. They lost a couple of my boxes and it’s ridiculous. So the driver tried to move the stuff by himself. He eventually picked somebody else--some random person from Craigslist to move my things.

Then the driver tried to get me and my wife to pay him $75 because we have stairs in front of our house. The contract stated that if there’s less than 21 stairs in front of the house, then it’s included in the price that’s paid. The driver was trying to tell me that it was 12 stairs so I pulled out the contract and showed him. So I will be likely suing National Moving Group and their affiliates. It’s completely awful, it’s a scam company and I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone. They broke a lot of my things and it’s not a good company. Don’t use them.

The guy from National who organized the move for us was good throughout the process. He made it seem like it was going to be a straightforward process, plus the pricing was good. He made me comfortable. However, I didn't realize that he was a separate party - a whole different company than who I was going to actually be talking to in the end. There was a lot of third party involved in the move, so I was speaking to different people at each different turn. We were also told stuff that when we got there the price had escalated at $400. It wasn't a good move at all.

The movers came with a van that was too big and they wanted to charge us more money for it. I informed them that they should have told us in the beginning if the truck was too small and they can't load other people's stuff. Also, they picked us up at the last minute. There was also so much going on because I had to go with another truck so they could move my stuff. Once I got to the freight elevator, they had to drive it back up to their truck and unload the stuff. The whole process took extra long and by the time they were trying to deliver our stuff, they told us that we might have to get our stuff six days later. Initially, they were supposed to arrive the next day, but we actually had to drive down here. So we ended up getting here way before they did and they told us that they couldn’t make it. It was terrible. I would never use that company again.

The driver was telling me "Miss if you don't pay me, I won't get any money." I was tired of being ripped off so I said that if he's not happy with his job, he's not getting paid and needs to get another job. I'm really disgusted with them. I would never use them again. Overall Ms. ** has done a superb job in handling our move. We have had nothing but issues with the movers, Oleg Van Lines. This is my first move and acknowledge I have made mistakes but some of the practices of Oleg Van Lines are very questionable. The problems started with the signing of the paperwork. They had me sign all the forms before they would start loading and was told I would review them before they left. I forgot to ask and they didn't offer this review. I was charged for incorrect amounts of packing materials ($815.00). Ms. ** advised would work on the incorrect amounts of packing materials and would let me know the outcome.

Second was the use of a shuttle and additional labor. They showed up with a U-HAUL truck and told me the driver of the big rig determined he couldn't get to our house. When I advised them our house is 62' long and 12' wide and was brought in by truck, they said there was nothing they could do and so there was another charge. Ms. ** she would have the shuttle removed (it was removed before the final bill). They requested and we paid with a personal check for $1,700.00. When I called to complain Ms. ** she was very nice when asking why I had not called as requested in prior conversations. I advised we had to let them move our belongings because the tenants were moving in the next day. She understood and told me she would do what she could.

Upon review of the final bill, the weight tickets were not consistent for the full weight totals. Ms. ** called the movers who advised there were two trucks which were used and the charges based on the available information was correct. I asked and received the phone number of the person she spoke with. When I called and requested the weight of the load be checked upon delivery he refused as it was not company policy. Ms. ** is having the tickets reviewed and will let me know the outcome. Ms. ** professional handling of our move is the only reason I have not contacted my lawyer yet.

I'm still upset about my move with National Moving Group. It was a bad experience. These people that had been paid nearly $2,000 tried to get more money out of me. This was a real tragic situation that I got myself into. A very beloved neighbor, who lived two houses down from me and whom I had known for almost 40 years, died. This woman had a daughter, Patricia, and she contacted me and I helped her in packing up her mother's things here in Florida and moving them to her place in Missouri.

I put in an inquiry for moving estimates and there were all these people that contacted me about giving me a quote. We wanted to get the job done and get the stuff out of the house since the house had to be vacated, and National Moving Group got back to me and they were $100 less than anybody else. So I went ahead and stuck with them. I went in to the mother's house and spent two and a half weeks boxing, bubble wrapping, and packaging. I removed the stuff out of the house, met the movers, and signed all the papers.

The movers threatened me for money and to give them a check. It was awful. They told me that nothing was boxed right. They wanted another $150 to re-box everything. I really went above and beyond because I didn't get any money for doing any of this. I did this out of my love for my friend. When my back was turned, the person who was in-charge called Patricia and told her, "Hey Ma'am, all this ** isn't boxed up right. Everything could be crushed and you're going to have to pay another $150 because it's all gotta be boxed right." She said, "Oh my God, you mean Joy didn't get everything boxed up? All right, here's my credit card. Charge me $150."

When I walked out to the street, he was getting ready to take a razor blade to open up one of the banker boxes that I had there. He was up on the top of the truck and he fired down this thin, flimsy box and a pack of tape, and he informed me that all my boxes which housed glass and delicate items, and many dollars of bubble wrap, were all going to be re-boxed. I caught Patricia immediately on the phone and I told her the stuff didn't need to be re-boxed. The man also wanted me to sign a document in blank and I told him I was not going to do that. He was stinking mad about it and told me it was going to delay them. I had 14 boxes and a two piece black walnut China cabinet. I wanted everything completely enumerated. But they were trying to screw me and Patricia. If it wouldn't been for me being smart, this would have turned into more of a tragedy than I can ever think and imagine.

Even before all this started, I had to sign all these papers with the yellow highlighter. At one point, he highlighted that I owe him a tip and had me freaking initial it. When I handed him the paper back, he threw the paper back in my face, tapped his pen on his board, and said, "Did you read everything that I asked you to initial?" I said, "Yes, I did. I initialed everything." He whipped the paper back in front of me and tapped his pencil on that thing about giving him a gratuity. It was a nasty experience.

I looked on a couple things before I agreed to hire these people. I spent time I thought doing some research on them but boy was I wrong. I never want anything to do with any of them again. I'm almost 70 years old and if I needed to move, I will never hire another moving company ever again. I will do a U-Haul truck and pay people at this end to help me load stuff.

They were hiring people from different cities to move their stuff and did not provide any service men. They were not a combined, concentrated company. They did bits and bites.

In terms of the purchasing process, they were bad. They did not provide detailed info and how it worked. They breakdown the whole payment in three separate transactions that I did not want to pay additional. Each time, they charge for money for using credit cards. I had a pretty good call with National's sales rep and they were offering $300 off, but that was the shining moment of my experience. Everything was completely downhill from there.

My moving experience was horrible. If I could erase those few weeks in my life, I would. They are brokers so they hired an actual logistics and transportation company to do the move and the people they hired were unprofessional. They lied and upcharged. They hired a van company that shouldn’t be in business that damaged thousands of dollars’ worth of my stuff, lost boxes, and they damaged a number of my things. I still haven’t found my stuff and have not been able to get an update on what the status is. Then National pawned it off on Oleg Van Company who did the move thing. They had nothing to do with it. If I had any inkling that my experience would have been this way, there is no way I would have ever signed a contract with them. Because effectively, they did nothing to help my move other than hire a van company that was just awful.

The move wasn't really done in a decent timeframe because they’ve called a couple of days before when I thought I was moving and said that date wasn’t guaranteed even though I had signed a contract. Finally, I got them to agree to still move me on that date. But then my stuff didn’t show up for several weeks later and they said they had nothing to do with it because at that point, it was in the hands of the van company. So I don’t really know what the role National Moving Company really plays other than I get the broker but they added absolutely no value to the move. I filed a claim against both National Moving and Oleg to try and get this resolved but there’s no way I could, out of my heart, recommend either of these companies to anyone to make them go through the experience that I went through.

I did some research, calling some different places when I was in Greensborough and a couple of the companies were really trying to be pushy with it like they hurried me to make a decision, that I have to pay it today, and have to lock in. I work in the field and I’m busy. But National Moving was not like that and that’s one thing I really liked. I was pretty happy with what I heard from them. I was able to move in a decent time frame and the purchasing process was fine. They did an excellent job, was on point, and timely. I was very pleased with them.

I went to the website of approved moving companies and the National Moving group was one of the ones that came up. It was important that they were insured. I got three different estimates and they had the best estimate for the amount of stuff that we were moving at the time. Moreover, their blogs were favorable as far as the past customer comments.

The guys were cool. I was told initially that they'll pick it up on one day and deliver it the following day. I moved from Waldorf, Maryland to Charing, North Carolina. It's about four hours drive. They picked the stuff up on Saturday and delivered it on Sunday. However, I'm not a professional mover and I felt like there was some information they weren't expert about like tables had to be wrapped, furniture had to wrapped and so on and so forth. Once they got the stuff here, I went off a little bit because they were trying to tell me all these additional charges.

Our stuff had been in a storage unit for two months and I gave them a close list to things that were in the actual storage unit. I gave them the measurements of the storage unit and basically it was about 85% full so without inventorying every single piece, I thought I was close. I already paid out close to $3,000. Since the stuff was already in storage it's not like they had to move it out of a house, come up and down steps and then most of the stuff in the house that we moved to was on the first level. It was probably one of the easier moves for what they were charging.

Moving is a stressful event and I just wanted to get the stuff to the house in one piece and not necessarily make a big deal about it but there were additional costs for things like the tabletop. The representative that I spoke with also made reference to the TV that needed to be secured so we wound up bringing it up on a vehicle versus the truck. And then we found out that there's a chip in the table that we paid additional money to have wrapped. Those are the things that just didn't sit well with my wife and I-- getting nickel and dimed on the back end after trying to find the best price and the best quality.

I got National Moving Group to help me move because I thought it was going to be cheaper, but I feel very poorly about my experience in moving with them. I was upset that I asked them if they boxed the TV and they said yes, but they didn't tell me they were going to charge for it. I would've done it myself or gone to U-Haul and bought that. So I spent $140 to box up the TV. They didn't tell me about leaving the cars empty, too, so I had to pay $150 extra per box, but I would also have done that myself. Then they were going to charge me $300 to shuttle with the new car, and so I ranted away. Then there was the $75 charge per 75 foot, but it definitely wasn't 75 foot, so that was crafty. They should just have disclosed what the actual price was going to be. I really was dissatisfied with their service.

At the beginning, National Moving Group was less expensive than any other group that we looked at. But when it came down to it, they cost us almost three times more than what the others had quoted us. We were quoted per pound per mile on the price but they wound up charging us per cubic foot - they blatantly lied to us. They also wanted everything upfront beforehand. Moreover, we had to wait a week after their stated delivery date before they actually delivered stuff.

Their people that brought the truck here and unloaded my stuff were good but the ones that packed and loaded the truck in Colorado were rude. To top it all off, something from every box we have unpacked so far wound up broken, like my two six-foot mirrors. I had a crappy experience with this company. I will never use them again and neither will I recommend them to anybody.

They gave me a two-day window to pick up and deliver my household items but they didn't stick to it. They didn't contact me about the pick up. I had to call them. They told me they had an accident which I don't believe. So they were a day late and now the delivery is scheduled this coming weekend but then there are excuses again. I will not recommend them to anybody. I don't like to deal with them. They're a bunch of useless people to work with.

My experience with National Moving wasn’t good. The guy that picked up the stuff did okay on the pickup, but they made me mad when they got down here. They didn’t mark things correctly and it looked like they had hurried through the inventory. I wasn’t with them on the other end, so I didn’t get to have any input on that. When they got down here, they misplaced a box and my step stool, which he did pay me for. But he only paid me after I had given him $100 to set up, which he didn’t even do. From the beginning, they said that the driver will be willing to set up. He had gotten my stuff out of storage, which I had told them at the beginning, and when he came on the truck, he goes, “I didn’t take it down so I don’t have to set it up.” He didn’t even put my couches together or my beds.

When he got to the gate of the base, none of his crew had the correct ID or could get on base. They had bad background checks, which means that his crew had done drugs or gotten in trouble with the law at some point. The guys that he ended up getting locally to replace his crew were better than he was, and they didn’t even work for National Moving. Also, with the quote that they gave me, they didn’t get a good count of the weight. When I told the lady that called back to set everything up, she said, “He didn’t give you the right weights. We have to increase it by $1000.” We were like, “Are you kidding me? The reason we chose you guys is because of the quote he gave us.” We didn’t know what to expect and it hit us out of the blue at the last minute. Overall, I wouldn’t do it again with that company.

We got National due to the price and overall, it was nice. We were able to move in a decent timeframe. Also, the representative that I talked to when buying the package was very nice and was definitely working hard to get us the best deal possible. However, we were given an original price and then that was adjusted again and again. It almost went past our first price of what we wanted to spend. Also, we were moving into an apartment complex and I’m not sure where I had missed this in the paperwork, but we didn’t know that if the movers have to walk more than 75 feet between the truck and the property, it’s an extra $100. They charged us that. Moreover, they damaged a piece of furniture, some dishes and some other things. The driver of the moving group said he was going to send us a form to fill out to put claims in on those and we never got the form. We haven’t been able to get ahold of anyone to make that claim.

I regret moving my furniture with National, because at the end of the day, they didn't give the actual information or the way things run. I found them online before I moved to Florida when I was looking for a place and it took me five days to actually find them. Firstly, when I called them and paid my deposit, it was stated that they have a storage in the state of Florida where I moved to - that was fake. My furniture was stored in a truck or wherever. Then I did business with them and in the end found out that National had a contract with somebody else, which I wasn't notified about. They also gave me an inaccurate price. Their representative tried to say that I gave him the wrong details of my furniture, which I didn't.

After everything, I told them to give me my money and security deposit back before they even had my furniture in their business since I didn't want to go along with the process. Their representative didn't want to give it back to me and told me I would lose it. So I decided to keep my move with them and ended up paying $2,500. I was able to move my stuff in a decent time frame, but I was not happy with their services at all and I will never use them again.

    Original Review: April 4, 2016

I went online and I had six or seven big moving companies come in and evaluate the house. Everybody wanted to know how much square footage I had and I didn't know that. I called National Moving Group and their representative, Tom, convinced me that he could get it in for less than all the other companies and they would do a good job. So I went along after Tom assured me that they always overestimate their quotes so it's okay even though he doesn't see the things I have to move - about 30 years of accumulation. I wanted the whole pack quoted even when there were certain things that I wanted to take care of myself. He also assured me that their team would pack whatever I can't due to my knee surgery which was one of my biggest concern that I expressed to him many times. They were able to do the move within a decent time frame but I have mixed feelings about this company.

The guys that came were very nice but I felt constantly pressured by them as to what not to take with me that by the end of packing day, I was totally frustrated. They kept asking which things I'm going to take. We were going upstairs, downstairs, and the detached garage - I couldn't be in all three places at the same time. I was going to take my bed but not the mattress and box spring. I didn't get to take the barbecue as well as a lot of things that I would originally have taken. It's just that though the things might not be 100% perfect brand new, but there was really nothing wrong with them. I wanted to take everything but it costs more to ship them than just buying new ones, plus the guy kept saying that the truck is almost full.

I left my crutch at the door and they even packed that in my locker, which I didn't get. I had one in my car but I was just really frustrated. I also kept saying to them that they haven't packed some things yet. They were going so they told me to put everything I want on the mattress. However this was really challenging since I was already pushing my knees to the extreme as it was.

There were some dishes I ended up leaving but they did pack some that were in the cabinets which I couldn't bend down to get. I can't believe the way they packed it though. They just put it in one of those wardrobe boxes with nothing in between them. Same goes for the pots. They also threw my guitar in with the curvy vacuum cleaner and floor washer with little pieces, such as the top of a cardboard box separating them. It's not a million-dollar guitar but my husband gave it to me when we were dating and it was priceless to me. As can be imagined, the guitar broke. Moreover, they wrecked some of my Christmas decorations in the garage and I can't really do anything about it once they left. We are now re-doing the house we moved in and there are still a lot of our stuff in boxes. I'm scared to see what's inside them.

I wrote National a letter and I tried to calm myself down - tried to think that it wasn't as bad as I think. But I don't know how bad it is because there's a lot of those wardrobe boxes. I also can't find the remote or the cord to my TV. The guy said everything they took apart in the packing was re-assembled on the other end, but that didn't happen.

I was really discouraged with my experience with National because I was assured that their team would pack everything for me. I wonder though what would've happened if I didn't pack the 200 boxes myself. I really truly pushed myself to the extremes that at the end of the day, my leg was so swollen and sore. National pushed me to the point where I don't care anymore. Nevertheless I did care, but I just didn't have any more fight left in me. I would not recommend this company. In the long run, I ended up spending the same amount of money that the other companies were going to charge me anyway.

National Moving Group told me that they will have their own truck and will make sure to say they are the broker when arriving. I am updating my star rating because I believe they will take this information and apply it.

    Original Review: April 3, 2016

My mom was moving from Iowa to Idaho so I looked at long-distance movers on the internet. I liked the National Moving Group and I figured it was a group of movers, so I called them. But they didn’t tell me they were a broker. I didn’t know that until I called them and said, “What’s going on? The truck was delayed. They’re supposed to be here two days ago.” And then they told me they’ll get a hold of the moving company. I said, “Oh, you guys aren’t the moving company?” They said, “No. We’re a broker.” And I said, “Why didn’t you tell me you were a broker?” Then it cost $2500 to go through a broker. So I’m not happy with that. Had I known they were a broker, I would have said, “Oh, no, no, no. I want to deal with a moving company, not a broker.”

It really was not the greatest experience. I wouldn't have gone with them if they told me they were brokers. But the two guys who helped pack up were fantastic. Other than that, I wouldn’t recommend National Group. I was a little disappointed in the fact that they didn’t tell me upfront that they were brokers. And we paid double what the first bid was. Then some furniture was damaged, which happens - but they were not prepared. When we moved, it took them three weeks to get our stuff here, but I guess that was in the contract. They had to get a U-Haul and take it to a storage. They were super good and efficient. And then the guy who delivered our stuff was really good too. The workers were excellent, and I really appreciated them.

I went online and a site I accessed started feeding me movers - pretty much everybody from the East Coast. I eventually spoke to a pleasant gentleman from National who made the initial arrangements. He gave me a better deal and price; he sounded earnest and sincere, which convinced me to go with them. However, my experience moving with National wasn't so good, but I'm not gonna complain. I got mostly everything now and they were able to move my things within a decent time frame. I had moved to a storage unit and then National's people moved me from the storage unit to my home again down here in Florida. Since I didn't see how everything was prior to the move, I don't know if I can blame National or the company who moved me to the storage unit for the condition of the things I received.

I loved the guy that took my things out of the storage since he was really personable and nice, although he made some mistakes on the itinerary list. It's been several months now but I'm still going through some boxes. Hopefully, I haven't lost anything. The gentleman that eventually delivered the furniture and some boxes couldn't wait to get the hell out though - he wasn't pleasant, which made me unhappy. Maybe he was tired or not cool with the idea that he had to come up with other numbers and make sure that everything was there. He even scraped my floor with my antique Victrola record player. Nevertheless, it is what it is and anyway, the guys from National did their job. I don't want that guy's attitude to reflect on the company's entire operation because I did meet very nice people and had a good experience at the very beginning.

However, it was a nasty surprise in terms of the price quote because they quoted one price and then it went up by a third - from $2,000 to $3,300 - and that's after my mother decided she didn't want to take several pieces. The people who gave the estimate really need some more training to figure out how much things weigh and what's required because once I paid, it's not like I could go with somebody else since it's not refundable.
