Very courteous and professional on the phone and answered all my questions. The problem came when the packers showed up, things were thrown into boxes unwrapped so when I arrived many things were broken. They underestimated the boxes, took boxes of trash I had on one side of the garage and left others behind because they ran out of room, I ended up having to rent a uHaul to get the rest of my things. They broke a cabinet door and then tried to hide it until I saw the glass. They are awful.

Company is a fraud. They say they don’t use day laborers but the men in my house told me they were found off Craigslist! I trusted this company. They bait and switched me. I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone.

My review keeps being hidden in Google, so leaving one here to try and save someone from the stress and hassle and expenses. I had a stressful experience with Mayzlin Relocation. They were only helpful during the quoting and first set of payment which is to them. The last half is payment to the movers whom you pay directly under their terms, no exceptions. My advice for a long distance move, get your own truck and hire your own movers or find a different company and read the reviews.

Moving cross-country from Arizona to North Carolina was stressful. My valuable craft cabinet arrived with visible holes in the box and damage to the woodwork. Despite multiple calls and emails, customer service was dismissive and did not offer any meaningful solutions. The lack of responsiveness and accountability was frustrating, especially when dealing with costly, fragile items. While the movers were polite during loading and unloading, their carelessness led to damage that significantly affected my trust in the company. I would caution others to consider quality and customer support carefully before booking.

I also had a very bad experience with Mayzlin Relocation. Same scenarios as a few of you folks. They wanted to charge me over $900.00 extra when they came to pick up my things. Said they were not informed about the size of my craft cabinet which I went over in detail with the rep. Told them I had no money as my daughter was paying for my move. Ended up giving them 100.00. The items I boxed myself were fine. Thank God I purchased heavy duty moving boxes from Amazon and Walmart. They were totally bashed in and big holes in boxes. My furniture was not so lucky. Everything was damaged to some degree but my 2500.00 craft cabinet was damaged to the point that it will not function. I am heartbroken. I’m 76 and I only moved pieces that were near and dear to me.
Mayzlin’s website stated that they do not use 3rd parties to transport but that was a lie. When I spoke to the driver about the damage he said he had nothing to do with Mayzlin. He was just hired to deliver. It took them two months to deliver my things and they obviously didn’t secure the items. They showed up in the biggest moving truck I’ve ever seen in hopes of getting me to pay more money for a shuttle even though they knew how big the apartment complex was because they told me it had a loading doc. Would not take my items off the delivery truck until I signed and paid for the move.
I was so stressed that I initialed a waiver I shouldn’t have so I’ll be lucky if I see any money. If the date I signed on the paperwork and the driver’s date are different (he signed it as the day after it actually happened) does that make a difference? Even though I will probably not get compensated for my loss I will contact the departments you folks have listed so hopefully no one else has to go through this.

Here are some of the key issues we had when dealing with Mayzlin:
1) (The biggest complaint) - There is no single point of contact, no one person assigned to our move. Responsibility on the Mayzlin side shifted with every phase of the move, from Sales to scheduling to Quality Assurance to pickup to transport to delivery. The single biggest improvement Mayzlin could make to their business would be to assign a single person to shepherd each move from the beginning to the end (at least after sales).
1a) The vehicle transport was subcontracted to other non-Mayzlin companies. This was not explained. We were expected to communicate with them directly, even though our transport agreement was with Mayzlin, not any other company. And payment was very unclear, with an initial portion going to Mayzlin and the final portion going to the transport company.
2) Payment methods are non-standard and not well explained - basically only cashier's check or cash in the field (cards were OK for on-line payments only). When you are moving to a new area and you do not have banking yet established there, this creates a BIG PROBLEM. Most people cannot get a cashier's check, and do not carry large amounts of cash.
3) At the Quality Assurance phase, Mayzlin wanted to do the review by video only - this is NOT sufficient. Communication by video will never replace communication in person, and can never be as thorough.
4) Mayzlin miscalculated the size of the truck necessary for pickup, and had to strap our belongings to the back outside of the truck.
Most of the people we worked with in the field were pleasant and professional - my complaints are mostly about administration.

We were moving into a new home with two toddlers running around. The movers didn’t get annoyed, didn’t rush us. They worked around the chaos and kept things light. Felt like they’d done this before. I really couldn't say enough positive things about the amazing experience.

The movers made my move incredibly simple. They arrived prepared with tools and packing supplies, which saved me a lot of time. Every piece of furniture was wrapped carefully, and the unloading was equally organized. They were fantastic from start to finish..

We hired Mayzlin Relocation for a long-distance move, and it was the most stressful, dishonest, and damaging experience we’ve ever had with any company. Our items were picked up July 5 and not delivered until August 1—well beyond the promised 1–7 business day delivery window from our first available date of July 11. We spent the first month in our new apartment without our belongings without any update or clear communication on when they would be delivered, despite being assured by our sales rep that wouldn't happen. In fact, every answer provided by the sale rep to the questions we asked during the quote/sales call proved to be untrue, and he was unresponsive once we paid our deposit despite his promise of being "available to us every step of the way."
We received zero proactive updates, only vague, repetitive excuses from customer service when they did decide to response. When we tried escalating, we were either ignored or told our concerns would be "passed to dispatch," with no resolution. When our belongings finally arrived, most of the boxes were severely damaged, crushed, or completely broken open. A number of items inside were destroyed, and multiple pieces of furniture were scratched, broken, or rendered unusable. We are now forced to file claims for the damage, but based on others' experiences, we’re not optimistic we’ll be compensated fairly—or at all.
Unfortunately, it’s clear that our situation is not an isolated incident. After our experience, we discovered hundreds of reviews from other customers describing the exact same treatment: long delays, false promises, poor communication, and severely damaged goods. This company should not be allowed to operate in the moving industry. We are filing formal complaints with the BBB, FMCSA, and our state’s transportation authority. I urge anyone reading this: DO NOT trust Mayzlin Relocation with your home or belongings.

We were clearing out my sister's apartment after she relocated abroad. It was mostly boxes, a couple of pieces of furniture, and a lot of miscellaneous items that needed organizing. The team didn't rush us and gave suggestions on what to load first. They treated her things with the same care they'd treat a full house. Simple job, but they gave it their full attention, and it showed.

We had a backyard shed full of tools, garden equipment, and miscellaneous items that needed to be relocated along with the house. I wasn't even sure how to pack half of it. The movers figured it out without any issue. They grouped things logically, wrapped any fragile items, and kept everything clean. I was surprised by how smoothly it went. It was way more organized than I expected.

Mayzlin did not inform car truck driver about first availability date of my car delivery so the driver forced to load and unload my cars each time he pick up or deliver someone else cars. Mayzlin did not inform me about cash payment upon delivery when the truck driver delivered the car so I was not prepare for a cash payment. Mayzlin did not prioritize my first availability date request or did not try to deliver the nearby dates even though I mentioned about it many days before the moving. Very negligent in customer service. Shipping damage one dresser, did not assemble the dresser drawers, did not assemble one bed properly (missing nuts/ screws), did not assemble the legs of the bed. They promised $200 refund to fix the issues by calling a handyman but gave me only $100.
Truck driver was very rude and did not want to cooperate with me for the proper placement of the items. He even left someone else TV in my garage until I told him that this is not mine. See the attached photos for evidence. Overall, very unprofessionally handled my moving and did not care about my items. Definitely not the right moving company for long distance moving.

I echo the review from Stephanie in Denver, CO. We also hired Mayzlin and dealt with Joseph. Our experience was pretty much identical. Joseph promises the moon, but no one in the organization can actually deliver what he promises. He guaranteed our stuff would arrive on a certain date, and it didn't arrive until a month later. Their customer service is a complete joke, they would provide better service if they didn't have anyone doing it. Their website claims no hidden fees, but they charged us for packing materials to wrap the furniture. The contract says they will disassemble and reassemble furniture, but the crew that delivered our stuff in Texas wouldn't.
The load of lies and excuses that we got for a month after they picked up our stuff was just stupid. I called and called and eventually they stopped answering the phone until I called from a different number. She told me they didn't promise to get my stuff there in a certain amount of time. She said they don't know anything that is all scheduling, She said if I had issues take it up with Joseph (who also stopped answer my texts),
We honestly gave up hope on our stuff ever getting her. But it did finally show up and even that was a mess. They called and said they would be there Sunday. Then the driver called and said he would be there tomorrow (Friday). Then called on Friday and said he had no idea he was supposed to be going to Texas, and he wouldn't be there until Monday. Promised to call Saturday with a schedule. Didn't hear from him until Monday saying he would be there at 8:00 AM the next day. They finally showed up at 10:15 and when our bank site was down and we couldn't immediately pay them they wouldn't unload the truck and started charging us $100 an hour for waiting.
Other than the crew that loaded our stuff in Colorado, the rest of this company is a complete and total scam! Don't get sucked in by all the up-front promises and the "deals". Ask yourself if you have a pay a few thousand dollars more to make sure your stuff actually arrives when needed, isn't that worth it? I mean if you don't care when or if your stuff shows up or what condition it is in when it gets there, this is the company for you. Using this company was the most painful mistake I have ever made. The only part of this month-long nightmare that wasn't a disaster was the three young men who loaded the truck to start with. I wish I had hired them to move me, because the rest of this company is a cluster!

Absolutely horrible experience! Please read the reviews before you sign with them! I feel so compelled after my experience to warn people, that I am taking the time to do this. If you want to lose hours of a sleep each night not knowing where your items are or if they will ever make it, then this is the right company for you.
I contacted Mayzlin and I was impressed with my original sales call and the quote to deliver the items in 7-10 days. I was moving into a new place and was told "we run from the Pentagon to Camp Pendleton all the time" so we always have trucks moving from DC to California. Sounded promising. And because it was veteran-owned and supports veteran employment, I thought, great - I'm willing to pay more to support the cause. I loved the idea of no subcontracting for the actual moving process and that my items would be picked up on a Saturday and immediately head my direction.
NONE of that happened. They secured my business, rushed me through the contract process, I signed and they DISAPPEARED. My items were picked up on a Saturday by a subcontracted set of movers and taken to an undisclosed location in Maryland - which no one ever discussed with me. Customer service refused to give me the address of where my items were being held - told me to look it up. HOW? Once they missed the first quoted delivery date, I called, texted, emailed, and they said there's no point in calling us because we can't tell you when your items will be placed on a truck. "Your stuff will be there when it gets there." Wow.
After that extremely rude encounter with customer service, they stopped answering me entirely. No texts, calls, or emails were ever acknowledged. Want to talk about a helpless feeling. They made $3K via Zelle, have my entire house and all my belongings in an unknown location, and they stopped answering the phone or emails. I bought hundreds of dollars of temporary things - air mattress, sheets, pots, pans, towels, etc. to survive while I waited and waited with no one answering the phone or returning texts or emails. Eventually, my items were delivered, four weeks after the original delivery window. My leather couch was punctured and discolored from the moving straps, the white tv stand ruined with black marks and scratches.
Here's the kicker: They bullied me into paying before they could start unloading - I didn't even know if the items on the truck were mine! They overcharged me by $293 and told me that's what claims are for - deal with it there. So I was forced to pay MORE despite the delay and breach of contract just to get the items off of the truck. I was told if I didn't pay, they would charge me $1000 a night for holding up the driver until I paid. What can a person actually do in this situation? The driver who showed up hired some other guy off of task rabbit or craigslist - he was kind, but obviously, just a random guy off the street - again, subcontracted. In the end, my items made it - but the roller coaster of emotions was not worth it. NEVER again.

This company is a complete scam from start to finish. It all began with their dishonest sales rep, Joseph Vastola, who promised a “stress-free move” and a “guaranteed quote.” Sounded great—until they had my deposit. Soon after, I got a call from someone named Anastasia in “quality assurance” telling me my quote was suddenly increased by $1,000. I wanted to cancel, but was told I’d forfeit my deposit and the pick-up had already been rescheduled. Felt like I had no choice. Then on pickup day, the movers showed up and increased the quote again, this time by another $300. They took my stuff, and I haven’t heard a single update since. It’s now been over a week with no communication, no delivery, nothing. I’m starting to believe I’ll never see my belongings again.
I called nonstop for days, and when I finally reached someone—Michelle from customer service—she yelled at me, said the company has no supervisors, claimed she couldn't help, and told me to “take it up with Joseph.” I called Joseph, and—surprise—he says he can't help either. Apparently, this company operates with zero accountability and no management. At this point, I genuinely don’t know what to do. I’ve been scammed out of my money and possibly my entire move. This was hands-down the worst decision I’ve ever made. Please, do not trust this company—save yourself the heartbreak, stress, and financial loss. I wouldn’t wish this experience on anyone.

It was, without a doubt, the worst moving experience I’ve ever had. Despite receiving a quote, I was ultimately charged over $1,700 more than originally agreed upon. One of the major issues occurred when your team asked if an 18-wheeler could fit into my storage area. I confirmed that it could. However, instead of a standard truck, you sent a 75-foot extended semi that clearly could not access the location. As a result, I was forced to pay an additional $1,000 for a shuttle service.
When I raised the issue, I was told to “look at the contract”—completely disregarding the verbal assurances made by your sales representative, Donnie, who had assured me there would be no problem. To make matters worse, my furniture was essentially held hostage until I paid the unexpected fees. This experience felt deceptive and predatory. I urge future customers to read every word of the fine print and not trust what your sales team promises. Based on my experience, it’s clear their priority is closing the deal—not delivering honest service.

We hired Mayzlin Relocation in February and unfortunately we were very disappointed with their services. We did not feel they met the values and commitments they advertise on their website. The men who worked at our homes were not "highly trained" or professional. They did not come prepared to cover our floors and my husband had to purchase mats and cover the floor himself. The driver stated in his many years of working this job, he has never covered the floors during a move.
The men asked what kind of tip they would receive and asked my cleaning lady if there were any snacks for them. They stepped on my wool rug and left red clay foot prints that I had to scrub out. They complained to my husband about having to take boxes to their appropriate rooms because they were all the way upstairs or downstairs.
There was an incredible lack of attention to detail. They left the couch on its side in the middle of the room, put boxes that were clearly labeled in the wrong rooms. They did not put the beds together as we were told they would do. The furniture and boxes were left in the middle of the rooms and were stacked so poorly they fell over. I took photos for proof.
Contrary to what they offer on their website, the company demanded we pay them cash and threatened that they would not unload our stuff off of the truck until they received it. We have a very large home and the company only provided 4 men to unload an entire semi truck. They had poor attitudes and demonstrated complete exhaustion before the truck was unloaded. They were also at our home beyond appropriate hours and were late for pick up and drop off. We felt we were very misled and absolutely disappointed with the service the men provided and we would not recommend their services to anyone. We believe there is a very specific reason cash is demanded and the above is evidence of that very reason.
