Horrible customer service!!! Threatened to call the police on us for having the delivery truck pull up to the door for easier unload straight into our storage unit. After explaining we would be less than 5 minutes and this storage units is ALWAYS empty and nobody is ever there, INCLUDING STAFF, why would it be a big deal. She still threatened to call the police on us for blocking the sidewalk and trying to be in and out faster!!! Instead, the driver had to drop 4 pallets on the sidewalk for us to unload all 32 boxes at 75 pounds per box and hand carry each one into our storage unit. Which ironically, had us blocking the sidewalk for over a half hour instead of 5 minutes of unloading and leaving. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!

I normally don’t post things like this, but what happened to me at NSA Storage / SecurCare Self Storage in Conyers needs to be public. People deserve to know how this company treats customers — especially customers going through the worst moments of their lives. I was storing my late sister’s belongings there. She unexpectedly passed away on the evening of March 5, and I’ve been trying to handle everything while grieving. The last thing I needed was a storage company making things harder. I went into the office IN PERSON to change my billing date from the 26th to the 1st. They told me the prorated charge would be $0.97, which I approved right then and there.

Later, they claimed they “didn’t have authorization,” even though I gave it, and they NEVER told me the billing date wasn’t changed. I told the manager, Michael, on March 27 that I was moving out the next day and would have everything out by March 30. He knew exactly what I was dealing with. He knew these were my sister’s things. He knew I was trying to close out her affairs. And he STILL didn’t tell me the billing date change wasn’t processed. Instead, they charged me the full $23.05 instead of the $0.97 I had already approved. So I called corporate, thinking surely someone would fix this obvious mistake. I spoke with Arthur and Alexander, both “escalation supervisors.” Not only did they refuse to correct the charge, but Arthur actually said to me: “Sorry, mistakes happen.” Yes — the company admitted THEY made the mistake… and then refused to fix it.

Who treats grieving customers like this? Who acknowledges an error and then refuses to correct it? What kind of company operates this way? I’m filing complaints with the BBB, ConsumerAffairs, and every review platform I can find. And I’m posting this publicly so no one else has to go through this kind of treatment — especially during a time of loss. If you’ve had issues with this company, speak up. Companies only get away with this when people stay quiet.

Horrible experience, Kelly has been a nightmare, district manager is no help at all! Rat droppings everywhere, they have eaten through most of my boxes! Ceilings is fallen, making a mess, I've had to throw away most everything! It takes a while to empty units because I don't want to put all the dirt, rat droppings, and sand in my car, and they don't offer dumpsters, even though they charge over 150+ for units! Lesson learned, never again!

December 11th, a little before I had to leave for Washington, I had pre-paid for, and bought a larger unit to transfer my stuff to, right before I had to leave for Washington and couldn't be back till January 5th, so I would need till at least the 10th to transfer all the things out of two other units myself and my son were paying for and occupying for over 10 years. Even though I didn't have time before we left to do much then, I had an agreement that I could have 10 days into January, because I wouldn't be back till Jan 5th, which was previously agreed upon with Dior, the mgr, at the time, that I wasn't gonna have to pay in full for the month of January, for the other 2 units and had worked out a deal with previous manager Dior, to have open access up to the 10th of Jan, to move things out.

But when I came back in December before I left, after I bought the larger unit, just to do a little bit of transferring before I left, to the new unit I bought December 11th, I found that Dior was no longer working there, and saw that my other units were completely infested, and my property had been drastically damaged by ?rat infestation, droppings, shredded papers, new boxes, etc., realizing that this being a major biohazard for me to do any transferring then, so when I tried to plead for the expected and previously agreed upon time, and cleaning supplies, for when I come back, I was screamed at by Cyanna? Assistant mgr? Stating Dior no longer works here, so that's that, and it's my problem, nothing she will do, and she didn't want to be bothered claiming that I was taking 45min of her time already (15min was all, video).

She wouldn't deal with any of it, and that I would have to pay in full for the next month if it all was not cleaned out throughly, by me before January 1st, even though I had already tried to re-explain, that I couldn't be back to do anything until after January 5th, at which point, later she connected me to the other unit and blocked my gate codes to not allow me back in or out, till I paid all of the storages in full again for January and now, even though everything is fully paid, including the new larger one that I was trying to transfer to, she is still screaming and cussing at me, any time I try to ask for anything, causing drastic gross negligence and conversion.

I reported her to another person that she doesn't listen to anything and just screams, while the hallways had the same trash and filth in them from before, I left in December to when I came back in January, even?dog poop,(not cleaned for 3 days, pictured and documented) were up and down the hallways to my unit. Have already spoken to others. I have been here for over 10 years, and didn't have any problems with any of the staff till Cyanna. Nobody like that, should be working in customer service or mgr?? ( I have witnesses too.)

Bait-and-switch pricing. We agreed to $165/month with the first month free for winter boat storage. After the very first paid month, they immediately raised the price to $215 — nearly a 30% increase. That is not a “market adjustment”; it’s bait-and-switch. What makes this worse is that there are multiple empty units of the same size in the same row, and 15+ competing storage facilities within 10 miles. Raising prices under those conditions makes no sense unless the goal is to squeeze existing customers. The unit itself is fine, and the location is decent for us but the security fence is in visibly poor condition, which is unacceptable for a facility advertising secure storage. Between the misleading pricing practices and lack of basic upkeep of the fence, I would not recommend this company.

This storage place is a freaking ripoff. Always increasing their prices. They just informed me of another price hike in 30 days, but my boat will be gone before then. TAKE HEED, PLEASE DO NOT USE THEM FOR STORAGE or you will pay for it in the end.

Rate increase of 30 dollars after only 2 months.!! The facility in MD was filthy. I have since read numerous complaints of pest infestation water damage and no assistance with claims. This company is false advertising with rates significantly lower when searching online. I do not recommend them. My daughter set this up and I did not research first. Stick to smaller companies who are not driven by corporate greedy real estate giants.

Worse place to store your things. They are badly infested with rats which they don’t disclose. Now all my belongings have rat poop and urine all over. They have ate through my mattress. And their company keeps raising the rent. Now I have to salvage what’s left and find a new facility. They only offer 500 in insurance. Trust me when I say you will regret it if you store your things here.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. We rented 2 of their largest units (10 x 20) in October for $335 per month. We moved in. The place is clean and accessible. No complaints. And then the day before the third month rent is due --they send a notice that the rate is increasing by 21% to $404. According to someone I spoke with at the corporate office, where I called to find out what was going on, this is what they do to all renters after 2 months.

The rates are not any less than anyplace else, we chose the unit for convenience. This company clearly anticipates that after the two month mark - once everything is moved in - the cost of moving out and re-doing all of that labor will be too much hassle and people will pay. SUCH A SCAM. And what an absolute bummer to have to deal with right before the holidays.
