A Barbizon advertisement on YouTube led me to getting their service. My son is very interested in acting and modeling, so I took it as an opportunity for him and I signed him up. Then we got a call, went to a Zoom meeting, then we started to participate. Everybody's kind, cordial, and professional. They try to meet your needs and answer any questions that you may have.

We wanted our son to have more knowledge going into it than just throwing him in the deep end. He's done all of the in-person classes and the Zoom meeting classes. Now, we're just trying to find the time in our schedule to have him sit down and finish. So far, the staff has been okay. At the in-person classes, they were friendly and attentive to our son. The next step will be for my son to get a certificate and then see agents. The program helps to increase his confidence and feel more knowledgeable and more assured about everything. Barbizon does a good job providing the tools needed for being ready for the industry. But their website and navigating it, knowing what classes we have left and being able to access it, could definitely use some improvement.

Barbizon opens children up more, makes them more social. It helps them build up their character and to get the experience they need for the modeling and the actual modeling and acting experience that they need. It is worth it. If you can't afford it, stay away from it. But if you can, go for it. We went with it when we talked to Barbizon. All my experiences with everyone have been awesome. They offered a scholarship. Also, my daughter is number 1 out of 15. We're still paying Barbizon because my daughter is doing a program where she's going to do competition with them.

My daughter was looking for a hobby. She said, "Mom, I want to try modeling." I googled it and found Barbizon. I sat through some of the classes. I had her explain it to me. One thing that is a little hard is that sometimes they'll send out the link for the class, and I don't get to it right away 'cause I'm at work. So, the link goes out, and then by the time I see it, and I click it, the class is full.

My children expressed an interest in getting into the modeling and acting industry, and I found out about Barbizon from a Google search. I decided to go with them over other companies because they have a training program, and they seemed to be involved with the whole preparation, showing and teaching my children the expectations in order to get into the industry and be successful. Right now, we're in Milwaukee, and they have in-person classes. There are four in-person class sessions that they attend and with those classes, they're teaching them different tips and tricks and techniques in how to walk the runway, how to present themselves, and different confidence-builder exercises. They also offer virtual courses and Zoom classes. You can pre-schedule those and they reiterate some of the things that they're learning in their in-person classes.

I had friends and family members who were attending Barbizon, and as a child, I first heard about them decades ago. We enrolled my son because he wanted to expand on his modeling experience and learn the fundamentals. Barbizon comes at a price, and you have to be available and committed. The person I spoke to originally, before we agreed to move forward with Barbizon, was very informative and inspiring with the information that he shared. Later on, we worked with someone else and speaking with her was okay. However, we felt quite a bit of a disconnect because she was in Florida. So, we never had an opportunity to meet her.

I joined Barbizon after hearing about it from a friend for the opportunity to know the industry. I wanted to pursue a dream in acting and a little bit of modeling. I took both Zoom and in-person classes, including etiquette and dining with elegance, as well as learning how to stand up straight, work with your posture, know how to speak properly and not use slang when you talk. I like the in-person staff. They were professional and weren't rude.

I first found out about Barbizon on Instagram, and it would be a good opportunity for my daughter, who is into acting. I was skeptical but it exceeded my expectations 150%. My daughter’s experience has been very good. She's very confident now and knows how to project. She used to be timid and shy, but now, she's able to perform. It has been an amazing adventure and a journey. The staff is always very communicative. I love most that my daughter's ambassador said their education has to come first before anything, including Barbizon, and they will never take it away from them.

I was looking into scholarship opportunities for college last summer and I came across the Barbizon scholarship that you receive once you're in the program, which is how I knew about it. Then, we had just signed up for a thing to maybe help with that cost. I have done all of the in-person and virtual main classes and did an audition. The reps have all been very helpful. I had to move the second in-person to an Atlanta one because we couldn't make the one in Birmingham and they were very helpful with getting us set up over there and working with our busy schedule.

I had to choose the particular Barbizon location because it is nearby. Also, the teachers are good and encouraging. My daughter became courageous and she loves going there. Unfortunately, her in-person classes were over. She seems bored going online, because there are so many kids. They are not talking. I would recommend that they divide the classes in small portions. One class has 80 kids. Not all of them will be able to participate. So, there is something missing there. When you have fewer kids, maybe something can happen to the computer and the kids want to come back, like what I experienced. When you have a Zoom meeting, you’ll be able to see who wants to get in. My internet went off or something happened. It's not my will. I wanted to get out for five minutes, or you never know. Barbizon should give chances for those people who want to continue with the classes.

My daughter looked up Barbizon herself and found it on the internet. She wanted to take some classes. We checked out a couple of modeling and acting schools, and we liked Barbizon and the friendly atmosphere, so we went with them. The reps were super helpful and friendly, and they were always available. Anytime I called with any questions, they were right on it and helped me out immediately. They were very easy to work with. My daughter enjoyed all the classes and hopes to continue with some modeling. I wanted her to gain more self-confidence and public speaking, and she hasn’t quite gotten there yet, but that’s just her age and it’s gonna come with experience. She’s open to the opportunity. She originally wanted to go into acting, but now she’s more interested in modeling and is more fashion-oriented.

I Googled modeling school and knew about Barbizon. I’ve heard of them for years, which made me choose them. When I had to deal with the staff, everybody was nice, friendly and helpful.

My 19 year-old grandson is enrolled in the Barbizon competition. They said he had to be 21 years old, but he's not a minor. He has been in fashion shows at the church, and everybody loves him. They always want him to model, and he looks like a model. He's very handsome and tall, and has the build for it, so he wants to do it. He also wants acting, because he won an award for Best Video at his high school in the drama class, and they had to make their own little movie.

We went to the International Presentation of Performers. My grandson had the look. Out of 100 performers at iPop, his headshot was first place over everybody there. He had 38 callbacks, and mostly everybody was on the West Coast. I needed someone that was on the East Coast instead of having to try to go all out west. Barbizon was in town. There were different Zoom classes. He did an etiquette class. The only thing I needed to find out now is how many Zoom classes he needs to do. I know he missed one, but I don't know how many classes were in total. No one has got back with me about that.

My daughter's interactions with Barbizon were good. Mine, not so much. I went to Barbizon myself as a child. However, the quality of classes has went down dramatically. I would expect better over time, especially with prices increasing, but the quality of what my daughter learned in class was not what I’ve got. There is lack of knowledge. Barbizon should teach more skills, and conduct more training. Also, I thought, especially with the more routes of communication, the communication would go better but it is horrible. There's no follow through. The lack of communication has made it hard for my daughter to complete her classes because we weren't getting communication. When I expressed that to Barbizon, it was never fixed.

My child saw a Barbizon ad online. He did the whole program. However, I would recommend that someone go to a local acting modeling school, because my child could have got the same thing from somewhere cheaper. I don't think it was worth it. Also, Barbizon charges more money for placements or competitions.

Barbizon Modeling School is not worth the high cost! It relies on big promises and sales pressure rather than delivering real career opportunities. Do your research, read independent reviews, and avoid any program that guarantees success or pushes expensive packages.

We enrolled our daughter in Barbizon based on clear representations that outplacement services would not require additional cost. I asked this question directly before enrolling and was explicitly told there would be no fees for outplacement. Our daughter completed all coursework, participated in both in-person and online classes, and successfully passed her audition and vendor assessment. While auditions themselves may be free, we were later informed that for her to actually be seen by agencies, she must go through the Passport to Discovery platform, which introduces additional required fees that were never clearly disclosed upfront.

My daughter has always wanted to do something personal development-related and she'd reached out and applied to some other places. I'd seen Barbizon and I thought that that seemed like a much better opportunity because it's more so of a training and preparing for your future in acting and modeling versus trying to get likes. A lot of the other ones, they want you to take pictures then you gotta try to get votes online. It wasn't getting us anywhere. With Barbizon, everything's been great. Everybody has been extremely friendly and they have worked with us with schedules, school and sports. It's very nice people all around.

Developing self-confidence and modeling classes are nice. I finished the in-person classes. They were very fun. I really improved the walk and how to pose. I haven't finished the virtual one. Sometimes it kicks me out for some reason. After I graduated, they said I was going into a discovery thing. They said that an agency would call us in two weeks. It's past a month and we haven't gotten any calls.

I’m very upset with this company. They got my 13th year old daughter excited about getting a free photo shoot. She goes downtown while I’m at work and because I couldn’t afford the school they lied to her and told her the photographer was on lunch for a long time and never let her take pictures. You do not do that to a young girl. Lucky I wasn’t there. I hope everyone takes their kids to another company.

My 10 year old daughter is starting out and we are excited to learn and share the experience. We feel that this will give her the tools for not only modeling and acting but for life experiences as well.

My daughter, Chloe, wanted something to do and she brought Barbizon’s program to my attention. This is her puppy. I leave her to herself to take charge of it and let us know where she needs me to be and we take her there. We did the last class and she might go with Barbizon again. Being a dad, the price is too much for me, but when my little girl does the "I love you. Please do this for me, daddy," it melts my heart. "Okay. If it makes you happy." I'm just frugal.

I was online, and my son is just really into fashion. He was actually wanting to go to college for business, and he said, “Mom, I really want to look into fashion and be a model. Barbizon popped up. And I was like, “Oh! What is this?” It just happened to just pop up and we were like, “Yes. Let's go for it.”

We’ve had an incredible experience with Barbizon so far! My daughter has been enrolled for less than a year, and the opportunities she’s already had have far exceeded our expectations. She’s walked in New York Fashion Week, participated in a magazine photo shoot, and was selected for another runway show — all within a short time of joining the program. Barbizon has not only helped her grow as a model but also boosted her confidence and professionalism. The staff is supportive, and they truly invest in helping young talent find real opportunities. We were a little skeptical at first, as with anything in the modeling industry, but Barbizon has delivered and then some. If you’re looking for a place that nurtures your child’s passion while giving them actual experience in the industry, I highly recommend Barbizon.

My daughter found Barbizon's information and signing up was quite simple. We did online in addition to the interview phase. She completed the courses, and she liked it. They gave a lot of industry information, so it's always helpful. It was good.

I would like to start off first by saying originally the company draws you in everyone I spoke with was very polite, answered any questions I had without getting upset. When I was assigned someone named Pamala at first she was nice and seemed very excited about my daughter being chosen, I explained to her I was very naive to the industry and that I have no idea what I’m doing, but I was very excited for my daughter to get training then eventually placed as I was promised by everyone I spoke with, I was overwhelmed with how fast everything was moving, how I felt a bit rushed and nervous about everything, she had me sign and fill out stuff online, I didn’t realize it was a contract until I was sent the email copies from what I signed which I understand is my fault, I did not pay anything,

Barbizon was fun to learn from. However, it is a bit much. In all honesty, it's still really good. I wish they could at least help a bit more in getting your foot in the door when it comes to modeling and acting, but hey, you can only go so far. One thing I'm glad to learn was how to walk in heels. I was horrible at walking in them when I started there, also, I will say my anxiety eased up some. My vision of myself stayed the same. I'm still not body-confident when they tried teaching that. The teachers were great and nice as well, along with all the staff that interviewed me to get me into it.

I discovered Barbizon by a “lucky encounter” but my daughter loved the experience that the school offered her. She loved the teachers, the inspiring environment, the confidence built step by step, every day. Barbizon is not only about modeling, but above all about growing up and becoming secure and confident in whatever you do and love.

Barbizon is something that my daughter has been wanting to do for a long time, and I thought it was gonna be a good opportunity for her. I saw them on a Facebook ad and we got started with them. With Barbizon, my daughter has learned a lot of things that I didn't learn as a child as far as health and beauty care. She's learned about posture and they've taught her to walk more confidently. She's also not nearly as shy as what she was. She's getting a lot of confidence in front of people, which is gonna help her in the future. She's navigating learning the world of professionalism. It's a lot of skills that I don't think she's gonna learn in public school. I work with Social Services, and a lot of the clientele that we have can't afford to go through a school such as Barbizon. But it's still something that I share with the other case workers. One can't put a price on the friendships that my daughter has gotten as well as interpersonal skills.

We went to the monitoring classes and my son found them intriguing. He did learn from it. It shows at the end. We finished his last class, which we did get the Barbizon certificate. But I wasn't able to follow through on the ones online because I have personal life going on right now. My son still wants to pursue modeling. He said he liked it. He liked the staff and everything. He said he liked going to the one that we had to make up the classes, which is the one in Massachusetts. He said he got to meet kids from all over, that he liked meeting kids from different places.

My daughter's always talked about how she wants to be an actress. We went with Barbizon and enrolling with them was overwhelming. It was a lot to think about and take in. It is expensive but we were fortunate to have family that was able to help us out a little bit. We were excited for the opportunity and everybody's been very kind. I love the teacher that worked a lot with my daughter. She is a very shy child. But when she gets on stage, it disappears. She's more confident now. She's finished and she's able to continue going, but I wish there were more classes offered.

Barbizon has been very beneficial. You learn so many things and it helps to also meet new people and build that self-confidence in yourself with all the different aspects. Doing it one Saturday a month, you're still able to do what you have going on then go to Barbizon. Sometimes it was hard to get ahold of people over the phone about scheduling if I needed to make up a class. But we were able to figure out the times and everything was handled very professionally. Everyone was very respectful as well.

Call and check into Barbozin if you are interested in modeling. Barbizon lets my son learn how to model and helping him find different people.

When my kids were younger, we heard about one that's called Casablanca. We started the journey with them but we didn't go anywhere. We said, "Okay, let's try Barbizon." The staff of Barbizon is wonderful, very supportive and professional. The kids have learned through the classes that they attended a lot of things that I don't know about fashion. We're hoping to be one of the successful ones.

My daughter's overall experience with Barbizon was good. She liked going to the classes and met friends through them. We got some calls a couple of weeks ago about the Passport to Discovery but I don't see where the advancements are with Barbizon as far as people picking you up to do modeling or acting as a job. It's also hard to get in touch with someone when you have questions. You can leave a message and the recording says they would get back with you within 24 hours, but that's not true. You have to call them back two or three days later and leave another message. I got behind on one payment and some guy started calling me and was real rude. Other than that, the people I dealt with one-on-one were real nice.

My son got into the competition and my daughter got into the school. They both learned a lot and it's been a great experience with Barbizon. My son is signed with someone right now and my daughter had a blast. She's now amazing her makeup skills. She did a couple girls’ makeup that were sophomores and got paid for it. Barbizon taught her so much. She also now walks better. They built her confidence up. They did this little competition at the end. She was a runner-up and ended up going to the competition that happened in Florida. She got a couple of callbacks from it, but the school kick started her situation. She loved Barbizon and was very upset when it ended. You can trust Barbizon with your children. They have your children's best interest. It's not a scam so just trust the process and know that your kids are in good hands.

My son completed the class at Barbizon, but he hasn't had any jobs or anything since he completed. He was shy. So, I just wanted to have him be more outspoken and not being so conservative. I just wanted to bring him out more. He was more of a social bunny afterwards. The staff at Barbizon was good. I never had an issue with anybody. Twice, my son had an event and I needed to change the class, and they were able to accommodate. He did the class somewhere else. I would recommend Barbizon.

Josh has been absolutely A-MAZING! He’s gone above & beyond—both before the interview process AND after! He’s answered all 2,456 of my questions & calmed me down when I needed to be. He deserves all the stars!

This company is the worst company I have ever dealt with, please read the reviews before signing or agreeing to do any type of business with them. They truly have no heart and do not care about anyone at all! The sole purpose of this company is to pretend to teach or care about your children and use them as bait to receive compensation and place money in their own pockets!
