Do not use this company. They are currently in bankruptcy. They are scammers. They will sell your information to third parties. They will then add you into an illegal Ponzi scheme and have you in bankruptcy court and you won’t get any answers or know what is happening.

I have been a member for 18 months with $139 a month. So far they got me only %61. So I stop their service after paying more than $2500 and nothing happened. I paid all the credit to zero balance before I became a member. I think this a big mistake. I wasted all my money for nothing. If I waited 3 years all my negative items will be removed. When I called them in the beginning they said within 90 days you’ll see the difference and between 6 months to one year everything will be good. That is a big lie.

I have been with them for 5 years. They have not help improve my credit score, in fact it has gone as low as 580. I started paying them 120 a month. After a couple of years they lower it to 69. All they do is send letters out. The Creditor do not acknowledge my dispute and stays on my record. In fact I still have creditor call me after I paid the balance off. And they keep coming back for it again and again. And it is affecting my overall score.

Thank you for contacting Lexington Law Firm. Occasionally, a creditor may re-report an item that has been previously deleted by the credit bureaus. This generally happens if a creditor or debt collector fails to verify the information being challenged within the 30- to 45-day time frame that credit bureaus have to conduct their investigation of a consumer dispute, which in our experience often applies to requests for validation. If the creditor fails to verify within this period, sometimes the creditor will remove the negative item, then report it again once it is verified. In the event that negative information is re-reported, you may re-challenge the item. Lexington has additional methods for re-challenging specific negative items known as escalation letters. Please contact us with any further questions or concerns that you may have regarding re-challenging a specific negative item.

I have been paying $140 for 16 months now, I just canceled service with them. All Lexington did was send the same challenges to the bureaus, without any follow up or escalation, That's it. When I called to ask for updates or how the progress is going, they gave me nothing, no reassurance that things were moving or that any sort of progress was being made. When I chat with a rep all they say is that they are working on it, and offer to send me a additional letter to notarize and send, it didn't even have there name on it and did nothing except cost me more money. I thought that they would genuinely help resolve my credit fraud situation but nothing they have done has helped. I read reviews of people below me and unfortunately I am relating to many others. At this moment, I really want my money back. I feel so scammed and angered at this moment.

Lexington Law is a scam. It appears that you are paying for a one time fee but they are charging per month. I had hired Lexington Law to remove 3 negative items: All 3 on Transunion, only 2 of those on Equifax and 2 only 2 also Experian. That would have been copy past. After 3 months and a fourth-month charge pending,
- Transunion: 1 item was removed, and 2 items remain unchallenged,
- Equifax: 1 item was removed and 1 is in progress,

- Experian: 2 are awaiting answer.

That shows that not much was done and Lexington Law is only stretching time to milk accounts. This is really a scam. Challenge negative items yourself, it is actually pretty easy. Or find a different company that is upfront with their fee and actually does the challenge work.

I paid $250.00 for the first 2 months with them doing nothing at all except for the privilege of taking my money & when I called they told me I had to request my credit reports myself. “If you’re not denied credit you have to pay for them“. Then send them out to them with my disputes & why I I’m disputing them. So basically I’m writing the dispute letters myself. So basically you do all the work & pay them well for them to do nothing. Go to Credit Krama or something like that for free & do it yourself. If you’re having a bit of trouble writing the letters just Google it or ask a friend for free to help you. Save the money & pay off the people you truly owe because they’ll work with you. The internet is full of helpful hints & full of dirtbags who’ll steal your money.

I started out interested in this service because of 4 negative accounts I had. I wanted to see if they could help with anything to try and get the negative remarks off my credit. On the initial call I got all my questions answered and ended up signing up for a 6 month service. I specified I only needed a short timeframe due to the little bit of work I needed done.

After signing up they told me they sent multiple letters to credit bureaus and creditors. After 3 months of waiting and nothing happening I decided to just take matters into my own hands and work things out to get my credit fixed. I was able to get a couple things fixed and Lexington Law claims they did it. I never once saw any pieces of mail that they sent. Not one of the creditors they sent mail to sent me or them any info about the legal obligations they had to make sure info is accurate.

I ended up talking with someone and expressed my frustrations with the whole process. That was right before the 6 months was up and I never heard from them again. Fast forward 2 years and come to find out they have been charging me $150 a month for months and months without my knowledge or permission. I have called multiple times and I am always told that someone will be reaching out to me. It has been over 2 months since I have tried to get this fixed. This last time I called I was informed my account was blocked now and they can’t see anything. Sounds fishy. The rep then proceeds to give me a phone number to call and I repeat the number verbatim and confirmed. Then I dial and it says not a valid number.

Stay away from these crooks. They are not ‘for the people’ type of business. They are just in it to make money off unfortunate people in bad situations. I also was bombarded with Voicemails begging me to sign an agreement that they legally were supposed to have signed but oopsies, they never had me sign anything initially. Then offering me services for $100 off a month. I’m sure they can find my calls.

I was hacked last June 2022. I needed to get certain items addressed. I had some matters unrelated to the hacks that are my fault and those are not what I am reviewing. Of the 11 hacks, 10 companies were cooperative working with me. Lexington Law records at their end do not match the edits I made as I went along that I see on my account webpage. I have called just about every month to make the edits AGAIN, and this morning the rep read back information directing LL to not do anything on several cases which is opposite AGAIN to what I was reading.

In particular, one matter where the credit company refused to address their computer error (documented cause), LL has not acted on for a year. Documentation and email history has been provided but nothing has been done. Today I have been cut off by both computer and humans, gotten to a human who supposed made the change to what their files should read, but I cannot get confirmation. Bear in mind I have tried to make corrections for the past year. I asked to escalate, and was told no one was available and I could not get a contact number or email. This has been over 3 hours. I am writing this while on hold, again. Total waste of time and money.

Updated on 06/10/2023: I received an email today June 10, 2023, that Lexington Law Firm has filed a Chapter 11. So correct me if I am wrong. Shouldn't I receive a refund for their bad practices. As a Paralegal myself this company has frauded people to pay for their bad practices and debt. Whoever contracted this Law Firm should be compensated for every dime that was on autopay with this Law Firm. Please stand with me to complain and put them out of business. They should not be allowed to practice this unethical behavior for a Law Firm. They are hired to help repair your credit as their contract says and not to take your money without making any changes to your credit report.

Original: Before covid my credit score was over 650, my credit score was very good. I had used Lexington Law in the past and decided to use them again even though they were not helping to raise my credit score in the past, I wanted to see if anything about the company had changed. Recently, I decided to give them another try, only to figure out they made my credit score worst. My credit score did not improve. It stayed in the 400-500 as before when I used them in the past. My credit score never went up past 525, just like years ago things stayed on my credit report to the point of filing bankruptcy in 2009. The things on my credit report that Lexington Law should have been trying to remove were bills that were more than 10 yrs old. As of today June 2023, all they have done was to continue to charge my bank card or charge my bank card late when it was set up on autopay.

In the month of March, the payment never came out so I waited. In April of 2023, the payment came out plus a late fee. I canceled on April 25, 2023, due to the inconsistency of charging me for their error. So on June 4, 2023, they charged me again after sending multiple emails that the autopay was canceled and no payment was going to come out due to speaking with a representative at the Lexington Law. I sent several emails regarding this conversation only to get a response that they would not refund me because they had been working on my credit repair. I canceled due to their error and not helping improve my credit score. As a matter of fact, my credit score went down as they were doing what they were doing.

I would encourage you not to use Lexington Law for any credit repair because they do not help. As for the people who said Lexington Law helped them I truly don't believe that because I have dealt with them more than once time. If you need credit repair just do it yourself. Contact the creditors and make your own arrangements to settle the bill but don't use them. They like to take your payments and not help to change anything about your credit. Also the things on my credit report are still there and no dispute was done to reflect they did anything at all. Good luck if you think they can help, I will never use them again.

Credit scores are constantly changing because they are made up of five main factors: (1) payment history, (2) amounts owed, (3) length of credit history, (4) types of credit in use and (5) new credit. If any of these factors change (examples are paying off a credit card, getting a new negative item, applying for a new line of credit or adding a new positive line of credit) this can affect your credit score.

Wow - this is the first time I've legitimately felt scammed by a business. All they do is send the 'challenges'. You yourself have to respond to any inquiries from banks and agencies. For $139 a month, you would expect a little more hand-holding. They have paralegals available on weekdays - who are nice people - but are trained moreso to keep you on the subscription service rather than actually resolve your issue. What put me over the edge is after I expressed my displeasure, they said they would keep me on a reduced rate of $25/month since I only had 1 negative mark. Instead, I was charged $114 which is a $25 discount. WOW totally **. STAY AWAY!!!

There is a misrepresentation of what can be accomplished, the timeline, and the cost. There are hidden costs and also no real communication except standard generalized emails. There is a recurring cost so please keep close eye and do what is necessary to speak to an actual person. Once they get your attention even if overpromising, they don't really care because by the time you realize they can't really help you they would have gotten multiple installment payments and then the value you get is nonexistent.
