They send a card notice that looks like a tax notice stating your home warranty coverage ends and they want to ensure you renew. Not ever having a home warranty insurance on my home I called to ask when this "so called policy took effect" and they have quite the spiel saying you had it for three years and now it is expiring. I asked them to provide the warranty number and that is when they began to stumble over their script. It's a con to get you to purchase a home warranty program for your homes appliances, AC, etc.

Zurich is unethical and deceitful. DO NOT purchase any kind of insurance with them. The adjusters are all disrespectful, including the supervisors. I pay hundreds of dollars for the insurance that was supposed to cover any body paint, leather or carpets damage and they will not pay for anything.

If I could leave zero stars I would. I tried this service in 2016, had a bad experience and switched as soon as I could, then had sales agents knocking my door the whole time from 2017-2025 in every address I moved to, the bad experience kept me from giving them a 2nd chance until 2025, that was a mistake on my part, they came and installed a messy job, internet was not working properly through the Ethernet cable and they damaged my tv. A 2nd technician was dispatched to my home, when they came I ended up upgrading to the 2gb service due to weak 1gb reception, they suggested that I submit a claim through Zurich (3rd party insurance company), Zurich and their dismissive staff denied my claims saying that the way my tv was damaged couldn’t have been done through installation. Guys, if you like quality…. look elsewhere. Obviously, the reviews speak for themselves.

Now I feel hopeless and stupid for going with them, I submitted a BBB review and Zurich had the audacity to tell me that they had done extensive research without providing me with any reasoning, just a denial. Zurich is pathetic, I just submitted another claim and if I am denied I will submit a claim to be refunded in full and will continue to speak out against this company.

This insurance company has the worst representatives. Kelly ** was the person working on my claim. Every time I asked her a question she would huff and puff on the phone or give me a spill about how I “must’ve had a hard time with other insurance companies”. At the beginning, I thought maybe I was tripping. Side note: This is the only bad experience I had with an insurance company! Honestly, I just ask questions because I want to have knowledge on things. Kelly asked me if I wanted to take my car in the first week. I did not. I ended up getting sick and was not active. When she got back from PTO on the 31st of July; Kelly told me she would go over bodily injuries with me. I waited for her to call. So I ended up contacting her possibly on the 5th of August. When I called her I took a day off work to head to the body shop and hospital to get my bill.

This is an idea of what I thought I needed. I called Kelly to inform her I had these things. I was parking. By the time I got out the car and into the establishment Kelly had spit out a settlement number to me. I was unprepared because I had just sent the doctor's bill. I said no because after the accident I spent two days resting. I didn’t have the chance to say this but when I did all hell broke loose. Kelly immediately began to be rude saying she couldn’t talk to me no more until I showed proof I didn’t go into work. I said ok. The next day I sent the documents she asked for at 7:57 am while I was near my HR Department. By 2:30 I called to see if those documents were acceptable. She started telling me she was busy with people’s dispositions who “had representation” her words exactly. So I said ok. Got off the phone and thought about it.

So I emailed her stating I felt less than important. She sent back a 4 paragraph message going off trying to prove a point. Which means you have time to say “yes these are acceptable”. I responded short at first then I noticed the manager was on that thread so I sent another email to reply ALL. Just saying I didn’t know where to go from these hostile convos. I was literally at Enterprise shaking because at this point Kelly’s email was making me uneasy with the process. I get the car and they put no insurance on it. I’m not at fault. So I call Kelly the next morning to ask her if I can get insurance on the rental. She picks up the phone “yes Angel” I explained my reasoning for calling. She said, "So you don’t have insurance. I do. Just would rather not deal with them." But I tried to tell her not the insurance that covers this.

She ask me again. I said “Kelly I would not be calling if I didn’t need it.” She goes off on me again “Oh you’re so disrespectful and rude.” Self-reflecting. I was at my desk at work trying to whisper saying “What am I doing to you, why you treating me like this.” She yells, “I’m hanging up on you.” She hangs up and now I’m heated. So I email “Now I’m disrespectful of you.” That’s not me but I felt bullied. I finally get a call from the manager LORI and she gets on the phone “You better not disrespect me!” Now I see where Kelly gets it from. I respond “Why would I do that you haven’t been rude to me.” I explain what happened then Lori says she will put the insurance on the rental. I say thank you.

She started to agitate the Kelly situation again before we get off the phone saying “Don’t contact Kelly.” I told her my pleasure and she proceeded to continue! I literally yelled at my job, "LET IT GO." I get the bodily injury paper notarized later that day. I sent it to Lori. Lori responds, "We will send you payment options." 4 hours later I get the email and they intentionally send a check to God knows what address because I have two. Now I’m emailing like “Why would you do that”? I really don’t want to speak to neither of them anymore and I feel that was intentional. But God sees all. You never know what type of love God has for people. You can’t do his people wring just for laughs and self-gratification. I have so much going on in my life, this accident was a lot but to deal with disrespect and a lack of communication is disappointing.

Zurich sent me a letter claiming that I do not have Home Owner's Insurance so I called them to share with them that I do have Home Owner's Insurance through Home Shield. The representative, Jordan, stated that Zurich is a better company and that he could save me more money throughout my three year policy. Then Jordan said that I would need to pay a $149 activation fee. I stated that I do not have the money at this time and that I would call back on Friday to switch my current policy over to Zurich. Jordan said that I could do a postdated payment but I stated that I didn't want to do a postdated payment and that I would call back. Jordan then had an attitude stating that what I was saying doesn't make sense and that I should just do the postdated payment. I stated that I didn't want to do the postdated payment over and over again. He accused me of working for another Home Owner Warranty competitor and stated that I was wasting his time.

I told him he was being rude and he told me that what I was saying doesn't make sense and stated that I was not going to call back. When I asked for a supervisor he stated that HE is the supervisor. When I asked for his name he then called me a "Karen" and hung up on me. Well Jordan picked the right person today because I immediately called back and talked to another representative to get his information and leave a formal complaint. I've NEVER been spoken to like this. This man was rude to me, insulted me, laughed at me and hung up on me. If he is representing this company I want nothing to do with them!

We had insurance with Zurich for a few years. After renewing the insurance recently we sold our business and cancelled the insurance. It cost us $531 and we cancelled it 1 month later because we did not need it any more. Zurich said they could refund the $31 but the $500 they would keep for underwriting the policy. They underwrote this policy several years ago but want $500 a year every year to do this with no exceptions. I am not using the insurance anymore so it if free money in their pockets. SCAMMERS.

I purchased my vehicle from the Toyota dealer. They offered me a BUMPER TO BUMPER warranty for almost $3k for 3 yrs. Never used it until now that the vehicle is experiencing a electronic connection malfunction that is covered under this warranty. They say, "Yes we will cover the cost of part and LABOR," so dealer mechanic gets on the job. The issue is underneath the vehicle so because of nature the screws have Rust and won't budge and for that the whole differential has to be replaced and Zurich Denied the claim cause they CV claim policy does NOT COVER RUSTED BOLTS like are you serious. It's obvious anything underneath vehicle is going to get rust.

My advice before purchasing anything from this place is to take it a layer to read tiny fine print cause this is where they get you. But my other vehicle is insured by All State 3rd party. It was cheaper and bumper to bumper means just that. No hassle and did not ** about rust on bolts so sorry. No they covering everything without any hassle and paid for a rental hassle free. Zurich I think you should stop lying to people just to get their hard earned money then come with 1000 excuses of why you won't pay. And yes you lost me and thousands of new and old customers for undisclosed information. Put that in your pocket..

Our vehicle was struck by a "Commercial vehicle" from a company that was insured by Zurich. After submitting the claim the day after the accident, and then providing them with a copy of the accident report (their driver was issued a citation for disregarding a STOP SIGN), our driver's statement, and the estimate for repairs to our vehicle; they said they would get back to us right away. 2 weeks later I am calling and leaving messages for several days (multiple messages) with the adjuster's voicemail, which states that she will return my call within 24 hours. I finally got forwarded to her supervisor who also did not take my call and whose message also said she would return my call in 24 hours. Finally I got a call back from her telling me in the last several weeks they were unable to get a statement from their insured's driver. Meanwhile my truck sits in the shop. Her advice to me? Have my insurance provide the needed repairs to get me back on the road.

They know it's their fault. They have the accident report indicating it is their fault, but some or all of Zurich insurance are too lazy to get the needed statement and get the claim taken care of. I manage a trucking company with over 100 trucks, and if we are involved in an accident, whether or not we are at fault I have the driver's written statement and all facts of the case submitted to my insurance company the next day. If you are looking for quick customer service and someone to answer your phone calls and let you know what is going on in your time of need, don't look to Zurich...

They denied a homeowner's policy on my new condo because several years ago there was a leaky water pipe at a previous home I owned. Think about this pseudo-logic and bad statistics: there is zero correlation between a random leaky water pipe at one residence with another random leaky water pipe at a new condo. Yet this is what their rejection letter noted, that the loss history presents unacceptable risk that it may happen again. It's black box alchemy and it's why consumers do not trust insurance companies and ask for more regulations.

Zurich was unfortunately the insurance company for a hotel were I had an incident occur. The experience I’ve had with this insurance carrier has been the worst I’ve ever experienced or heard of. Unfortunately, shortly after checking into my hotel room, a “housekeeping manager” walked into my hotel room while I was standing in the front room hallway, unclothed. I started screaming for her to get out, as she proceeded to come in saying “it’s ok, I’m housekeeping”. I continued to scream and run away and she finally left. I reported the incident to the front desk, and I was offered “some drinks at the bar”. I left a poor review on the hotel site, and was then contacted by the general manager who told me that this was due to a miscommunication between the front desk and the housekeeping staff. I was also told that they were all discipled for the issue.

The claim handler, Denise, told me that her settlement offer was a “customer courtesy” and also told me I was a liar. She refused to show me the incident report, because I was correct. I was even told that my claim wasn’t worth anything because the person who walked into my room was a female. How crooked is this company? The claims department knew I couldn’t file a lawsuit because I live in another state. If you’re filing a claim against Zurich, I would just start with a lawsuit right off the bat. Good luck.
