Marcin ** is probably the rudest and laziest claims adjuster for this company. He doesn't sent out your checks as I have been waiting over a month for a check. He won't answer or return phone calls even when a lawyer gets involved. He delays everything and makes things more difficult when he could of easily solved it that day. Not only has he been rude to me, but he is rude to my lawyers firm. I have had previous claims adjusters but Marcin is by far the absolute worst and rudest claims adjuster. I did NOT look to be hurt at work and did NOT expect my life to be changed because of this injury but now I have to deal with this kind of rudeness and be behind on bills because he won't pay me. Zurich won't let you speak to a supervisor or allow you to get another claims adjuster. So be on the lookout because if Zurich is your Workers Compensation company, your life will get worse because of what you will have to deal with.

Yvette ** is a complete crook and anyone that would hire someone so heartless is just as bad. I was injured at work and my Dr was taking too long. She advised me that they would not pay me unless I went to a Dr immediately. They sent me to their Dr which then cleared me for light work... I didn't get paid from my job and they won't pay me nor would they allow me to see my original Dr at the VA that I set up before seeing theirs... PLEASE TAKE heed to all these comments on here about them! First time I have ever been thru workers comp and I got screwed! Go talk to a lawyer before you say ANYTHING to these CROOKS!!!

I was involved in an accident with one of their customers. I was hit from behind. My frame was bent, which was a total loss. They assigned me with an insurance adjuster that was on vacation. Which was a week and a day after I filed the claim that he returned from vacation. He sent me an email on that Friday stating he would look into my claim, only after I called him wanting to know if he looked at it. I had previously called while he was on vacation and asked if he had a team with other adjusters on his team, why did I not get assigned to one of them. Did not get an answer. Just said it would get looked into. Then once it was considered a total loss, that adjuster never answered returned a call unless you left a message threatening to go above his head most of the time. He was rude most of the time, then you get fed a line about one of their experiences.
At one point he agreed to pay for sensors I had put on my car a week before I got in the accident. So I submitted the receipts. I need 2 of them so my car would run properly. After 5 days of trying to get him to call me back, roughly $450 worth. When he finally did answer, he acted like he wasn't sure. He then told me he would only give me the money for one. And to this day, I have never received that check. It was not much but he was dishonest. Sometimes every cent counts. The experience was horrible from beginning to end. He also told me (after I finally got a rental), he told me it would be on a Thursday that I would have to take the car back. The rental car company told me Monday. 3 days before his date. I did not even receive my check for another 2 weeks after the rental was returned. I recommend getting an attorney. I should have.

On November 20, 2017, I was hit from behind by one of Zurich's insured fleet vehicles, which pushed me into another vehicle. My vehicle sustained both front and rear end damage which resulted in a total loss. The total loss agent was rude and would not call me back, in fact I've had to repeatedly call them and request a different agent. I even called the manager, but then got sent back to the same agent. It's always one excuse after another. It has been over 3 months and they still have not picked up my damaged vehicle to settle the claim.

My company recommend these people in orientation. "Because if something happens, you'll need this company to help pay your bills". Sounds nice, but that's not the way it worked. Zurich is efficient in taking the monthly payments from you, but when it comes to them paying you, in my case it never happened. I got hurt on the job. I'm an o/o. I ended up having to have surgery. The doctor I used was on their PPO list. My accident claim was turned down. They didn't consider wear and tear on a joint viable. So then I asked them, what about the disability part? Their reply "we're reviewing it".
One month goes by, nothing. My company used my maintenance account to pay my truck and trailer payments along with the insurance cost. The 2nd month goes by, still nothing. Now I'm a month behind in my payments. I called Zurich twice leaving messages, they didn't return phone call. I also complained to my company about them, their response, "We can't do anything about them not paying you." A friend of mine also has Zurich through his company. The same thing happened to him, medical claim turned down, disability, never paid. I will cancel their BS scam coverage.

On October 6, I was involved in an accident with one of Zurich’s customers who was at fault. The accident resulted in my vehicle being deemed a total loss, which you would think would be the worst of my problems, but no. The only time that the adjuster would call me back was at 8 o-clock at night and the only way I would be able to receive a timely response would be to hound the customer service staff.
However, after everything was said and done, I finally receive my check and thought that I would finally be done with this company, but no. I received my check the day after it was issued and take it to my bank to only be told that they cannot deposit it. I call Zurich and finally after some persistence on my end, I was able to speak to a manager who tosses my complaint and says for me to call back on Monday because she doesn’t know who to contact regarding my issue. Now, my question for the company is why are you issuing checks to customers that they cannot cash upon receiving?

I am not the type who leaves reviews. But this a company of CROOKS with no morals or sense about them. I was hit by a company truck (Flatiron-Zachry is the company and should drop Zurich immediately) that was speeding down a MEDIAN to cut past traffic that was at a dead stop. I was making a left turn out of a parking lot and was struck by the driver illegally speeding down a median. The driver confessed 100% to the officer, the police report is black and white. I was not at fault in any way. My car is likely totaled. I am lucky he did not kill me. I never would have expected ZURICH would say they have no fault. But that's not all. The Zurich adjuster, TONI **, contacted me 1 x after I filed.
Then for 3 WEEKS refused to answer any emails or answer any calls or return any voicemails. I then got a hold of her manager after 3 weeks of no communications (seriously a lousy employee who refuses to do her job). That manager did not respond either. I finally got a second manager to call me back and he said Toni would be in contact. So my 2nd conversation with Toni after 3 WEEKS she lazily tells me that I caused the wreck and they'd do nothing. CROOKS!!! Needless to say I will fight this to the very bitter end and sue whoever I need to. I pity Flatiron-Zachry, a large company, for paying these crooks as I will now have to hold their company liable. NEVER DO BUSINESS with Zurich NA. Their employees like Toni ** are have no work ethic or morals.

My husband got rear ended while waiting on the traffic light on August 18, 2017. The other vehicle and driver are insured by Zurich American and we filed the claim with them. They took the call and told us that the agent in charge will give us a call soon to help us with estimate and repair of the vehicle. We got a call five days later from the agent with statement that their policy was expired. Turned out that the person that took initial data wrote down wrong policy number. Two days later she called back again and said that they have to send their own damage adjuster and the estimate was over $3k. We have not heard from them ever since.
I kept calling them every day and leaving messages without any success. Even called their general number and spoke to another person that promised urgent action, and nothing happened. Two weeks later, our vehicle is still waiting for repair. Finally, we called our insurance and they took over the case. I wish I read the Consumer Affairs reviews first.

I am very unhappy with the way I've been treated and I'm thinking of contacting an attorney because of it. If he wasn't so rude and unprofessional I would not be STEER clear of this company if possible. Very unprofessional and rude reps. Not informative nor helpful at all.

I was rear-ended by a Zurich NA customer a few weeks ago. The driver was very nice, but Zurich NA proved slow and unhelpful with my claim. A favorite tactic seems to be to claim they've set something up with the proviso that you should call back in a few days if you haven't hear from anyone. In other words, they can't be bothered to follow up, you need to chase everyone down yourself. More than two weeks have gone by and no one's even looked at my car, let alone fixed it. A very bad experience.

4 days ago one of their insurers in a dump truck hit the left quarter panel of my car. I called Zurich and made a report. Gave them until Tuesday to get back to me. Called on Tuesday and was given an adjuster name. Called twice and left a message and emailed him. Today I called the main number and they said they are unable to reach him but send an internal email to him to contact me. Three hours gone by and no contacts. Guess I have to get my insurance company involved now and see what happens.

This company is the WORST, I'm begging anyone that is reading this to take heed and read all the reviews here. We canceled our policies for both of our tow trucks because they raised our rates without notifying us... so we immediately cancelled. They then tried to ask us to come back and they would keep the rate the same... we told them, "No thank you." Then the following month they tried to bill us for a month we already paid for. The problem is they didn't know what month they were trying to bill us... first it was June then they tried May (fishing to see if we still had our receipts). We hold all our receipts. We are prepared to go to court with these CROOKS. PLEASE PEOPLE STAY AWAY, RUN, HANG UP on these CROOKS. DO NOT DO ANY BUSINESS WITH THESE SCAM ARTIST. THEY LIE and I don't understand why they are still in business.

I was rear-ended by a punk kid who worked for a Ford dealership in OR and was insured by Zurich. He was driving a dealer car at the time. He was following too closely on the freeway in stop-and-go traffic and ended up hitting me. As we pulled over to exchange info, he told me he was on the phone and that's why he hit me. Well after all this, I call Zurich to make my claim and before I can even get my side out, I was told the driver is now claiming he was hit and that's why he hit me! Well my claim was denied as the mystery 3rd party involved is now responsible for my damage. Not sure where he came up with this but had there been a 3rd person, I would have also got their info. I now have damage to my car and have to take care of it myself. They will be seeing me in court!

After a few days I get a letter that there didn't have the company as a policy holder. Called the company who had to file a claim. 18 days and no adjuster. They outright lied that he had been there. Then the putz had no clue what he was doing. After a few days later of contacting them, I get a call that they are totaling the bike and they will call back. Three days later and nothing. As I started dealing with Zurich I read the reviews and was surprised that people were actually going through this. Because my experience was not like this at all. However I spoke to soon. After my surgery things started to go downhill as far as them sending out my checks. It's like they don't care about you surviving to take care of your household. They will hold your checks to the point you are behind in everything. The Workers Comp Commission really needs to put this company in check.

I was injured in a work comp car accident while at work years ago. I was a very hard worker and had no interest in suing work comp or getting what other people have talked about as settlements. I'm from Montana where I was raised to work, not sue people. In return for me being very honest and very hardworking and doing my best to get back to work before I should have, Zurich was extra sneaky and dishonest, claiming they sent me letters, rules about their policies, etc, etc - yet never sent any of it, and barely paid any of my medical costs and telling me they were not going to pay at all for some of my injuries or claiming they never received the bills/requests for reimbursement.
They stalled and stalled about paying things - all verbal, never putting anything in writing (so now I have no proof) - claiming they never received things or that I had broken one of their rules (that they had never told me about) until eventually claiming that the entire statue had run out - before it actually HAD run out, as a bluff to get me to go away. They are extremely dishonest company with no morals and no desire to help people in their biggest time of need. They intimidated me, sneered at me, put me down, verbally told me they would never pay for my bills, and kicked me when I was down at a time in my life where all I needed was some support to get back to work and keep working.
If I were an employer looking to hire them as work comp provider, I would RUN THE OTHER WAY. They are TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE company who takes pride in screwing their clients over. They are genius at finding loopholes and care nothing for people that need help and want to return to work. In my opinion, they are very dishonest and sneaky and are focused on how they can find a way to get out of paying for anyone's medical care or other care they are contracted for. They also make an employer who hires them look bad and appear like they also do not have integrity. Be very wary of them. I think 1 star is too much for them.

They are expert in buying the time for the court dates by presenting fallacies and not facts and they are getting successful each and every time. But my health could not buy time. In the absence of prescribed services and therapies and lack of hygienic atmosphere I developed severe diabetes with BS of 500+ and A1C level to 11, urological, bladder issues. One example of it, I get shower once in 6 days. Another example severe burning every time I go to bathroom. Continuous typing will give pain afterward... So in short Insurance Company, on my request, was asked by the honorable judge to handover surveillance records. They have the audacity to deny this. Is it not contempt of court?
My attorney denied to take next step e.g., subpoena but rather than I got subpoena for the matter available as public record. I understand this could be confusing, but not asking in first year but asking in the seventh year does not raise a red flag? By not acting as per specialized doctors records and submitting at right time but acting upon their own medical knowledge / Is not illegal or unethical. I hired him, paying him to represent me as a legal counsel not as a medical expert.
I do not have any problem in providing each and every information related to this case to whole world. My disability discourages me to write as this gives severe pain after activity. I know as he did in past many times, my attorney will scream at me but I am using my right of Freedom of Expression, so I don't want to be bullied directly or indirectly again. One thing more, he bragged that he and defense attorney discuss my case and I was getting good settlement amount as they are golf buddies??? Conflict of interest??? We do have many pic but will avoid putting on net right now. I neither want to defame nor writing this with ill intention for anyone but yes I do want fair justice as I do not want to be vegetable.

Black Friday Incident on I-275. On Black Friday morning around 10:00 am, me and my sister entered 275 northbound, headed home. Traveling between West Shore Blvd. and Dale Mabry Hwy. in the center lane, I saw something orange on I-275; the traffic was extremely heavy, everyone driving at a high rate of speed, trying to shop. I could not change lanes to move away from the object, I had no choice but to drive over the orange object and when I did, I heard a loud noise. When I arrived home, I glanced under my car and I could not see anything leaking so I assumed everything was okay. On Saturday when the young man who usually clean my car noticed that on the driver side behind the back seat, the floor had been lifted up, a big dent. Apparently it did more damage than I originally thought.
On Monday, I called the City of Tampa Risk Management and spoke with Pamela ** at 274-8211. I explained to her what happened and she informed me that I needed to contact the FDOT and explain the situation to them as they are the responsible one. I then called them and again explained the situation and they took my name and phone number and told me that someone would be calling me. A few days later, someone called me from FDOT and explained that it would be Skanska and that he would have the contractor give me a call, and if no one calls me within the week I was to call him back - he left his phone number.
A few days later Benjamin from Skanska at **, asked me go and get pictures and mail them to him. I agreed to do that and a day or so later, a young man, an insurance adjuster from Zurich Insurance Co. called and informed me that he was calling on their behalf and asked me to explain the situation to him and I did. He informed me that he understood my situation and asked if I were able to get the object or did I know what the object was. I told him I did not just stop in the middle of I-275 to try and get the object or to even get a better look at the object. As I stated to him the object was orange and I thought it was a cone. However, because of the dent under my car it couldn't have been a plastic cone. He informed me that he felt that the company was not liable because the object could have fallen off anyone's truck, and that I should take this issue up with my insurance company.
I told him that I didn't agree with him and if he could send me a letter stating that his company was not liable for the damage caused to my car on I-275. I just took my car to Lexus Collision and they recommended that I do not drive it, that I immediately go and get a rental car because of the danger to myself and to others on the road. I need to take my car for an estimate and I need to know what the next step is. I will get pictures also. Thank you for your help and cooperation.
After several weeks of waiting, suffering without transportation, borrowing and begging for rides to church and other places, I finally got an email from the FDOT that they were not responsible for my car and that they were referring my claim back to Skanska and Zurich, Phil ** for them to reconsider. After a few more weeks I had not heard anything, so I call Phil and he informed me that he had no information on my claim and referred me to Benjamin, whom I called and he stated that he had no information on my claim so I emailed him all that I had. But then later I realized that I had spoken to Benjamin originally and he did know about my case. Now I feel that I am getting the runaround from FDOT and Zurich Insurance Company.
I emailed Benjamin with no response and later on I got a phone call from Thomas ** saying that they were keeping their original stance that they would not cover my claim, because I could not prove that it was their fault. I called the FDOT and asked them for a letter from them and from Zurich - never received a paper letter from FDOT but was told that they had no money to pay my claim and I know that not to be true. So I had to finally submit a claim to my insurance company whom I appreciate them processing my claim, but I do think that Skanska and their construction and the FDOT is responsible and they need to pay for my claim in the amount of $596.00 to me and over $2,000 to my insurance company.
