Being able to purchase a policy that included political evacuation was really important to me since I was going to Egypt and Turkey. I purchased the Worldwide Trip Protector Platinum; and then I didn't have any anxiety about going to that area of the world.

Purchasing travel insurance with Travel Insured International was probably the best experience I've had with this need. I have purchased trip insurance before and also insurance with various travel suppliers (airline, rental car, etc.), but on this trip, I was traveling with my mother who, because of her advanced age, was rated a higher risk. Since my wife and I were the principal travelers and the cost of adding on my mother was minimal, we were able to reflect the higher coverage against my wife and I and tailor a better quote than other websites that just look at a trip total and the travelers, and not the cost of the trip by traveler. This provided a substantial savings. I'm glad the trip went well, and we didn't need to file a claim; however, the trip was expensive enough, and my mom was old enough that it gave peace of mind to have the insurance in place.

My first cruise and I wanted some protection in the event I had a problem. My travel agent arranged for me to establish an insurance binder with Travel Insured. The process was painless, I (thankfully) did not need to use the policy so there is not much more I can say. I was happy with the coverage and the agency.

If I could give this company Zero Stars I would! All insurance companies are scams, but this company takes scam to another level! Travel Insured need to be sued for telling customers to get coverage and can cancel for any reason only for when you have to cancel and spend weeks sending in documents you find out that cancel for any reason is a lie. Our flight and hotel was canceled due to war strikes. We didn't cancel. If we could go, we couldn't go because the hotel and the airline closed and canceled. The airline fully refunded but the insurance would not reimburse the hotel stay saying war strikes weren't covered and we needed to purchase additional coverage. LIE and SCAM!

If you are considering Travel Insured for "peace of mind," look elsewhere. My experience has shown that when things actually go wrong, their "Assistance Company" is worse than unhelpful they are negligent and contradictory. I recently faced a travel disruption and reached out for help. I was initially told by an agent that they "cannot book or modify commercial flights." When I pushed back, I spoke to a concierge agent the very next day who confirmed this was completely false. The concierge agent admitted the previous representative was negligent, acknowledged that flight assistance is a service they do provide, and even opened a formal case to address the failure. Here is why you should stay away:

Inconsistent Information: One hand doesn’t know what the other is doing. You will get different answers depending on who picks up the phone.
Negligence in Emergencies: When you are stranded and stressed, you need a company that acts. Instead, I was met with agents who refused to perform the basic duties of their job.

Refusal to Acknowledge Mistakes: Even after a concierge agent admitted fault and opened a case, their corporate response ignored those facts entirely to protect their bottom line.

A travel insurance policy is only as good as the support you get when you're stranded. Travel Insured proved that their "support" is a scripted wall of "no," even when their own staff admits they are wrong. Save your money and your sanity book with a company that actually stands by their service promises.

      1) FALSE ADVERTISING!!!! When you first look them up online, they say they will refund your money for a canceled trip. I had to cancel a trip overseas because of an emergency room visit. I sent in all the documents they asked for--including the doctor's form. Even though I sent (the beginning of Nov. 2025) in everything they requested and they sent an email saying that they received the forms, they kept asking for them again and again. One of the questions on the customer's form was, "Do you plan to use the credits." I wrote that I HOPE to, but with all the diagnoses that I had and what the doctor wrote, I didn't know if I'd actually be able to. In fact, I did make a reservation for another time and, again, had to cancel because of another ER visit. They claim that the use of the credits is explained in the plan material all the way down on page 12. I would say most people trust what they are told to sign is correct and don't bother to read all that.

      2) This was going on for more than 3 1/2 months.

      3) They very specifically say that the documents must be sent within 15 months. What they SHOULD say is not to submit them until the year (of credits) is finished (because a person might decide to use them in that time). Or don't bother submitting if you might use the credits within the year.

Insured my international cruise which sailed Dec. 2025. As of Feb. 26, 2026, I'm still fighting with the insurance for reimbursement of a single supplement I was charged when my sister (cabin mate) had unexpected surgery BEFORE the cruise and was not able to sail with me. I have submitted an unbelievable amount of paperwork numerous times and they still want more. I'm NOT EVEN THE ONE WHO CANCELLED.

It was average. When the storms were rolling in and flights were getting canceled we never heard from them. An above average company would have reached out to see if we needed to make a claim.

Do Not use this company!!!! They "cancel for any reason". Is very misleading, read the fine print. After I finally jumped through all the hoops of submitting endless paperwork, I finally got a check. About 6 weeks later from start to finish. Oh and I only got 75% back because the traveler wasn't dead or in the hospital. Buyer beware!!!!
