Did not need to use your service, but had peace of mind that if we did, we would be taken care of. Also, you were highly recommended by our Travel Advisor and past clients of hers. Peace of mind does not have a price.

On May 6, 2025, I was scheduled to travel to Israel on a Delta Airlines flight. On May 5, 2025, Delta canceled the flight due to security circumstances. I immediately attempted to reschedule but was informed of no alternative flights, I was compelled to purchase an alternative ticket on a different Airlines, on the earlier date was May 11, 2025. This incurred nearly twice the cost of my original Delta fare..
After claiming the losses of the ticket and AirBnb, I was later informed by a representative (Kevin) that coverage would only apply in cases of health or death and he did not referred to the: "any reason for interruption or cancellation trip" that was confirmed on the purchase insurance by the representative. I also bought a twice cost for interruption or cancellation trip that They just ignored and declined my claim.

Not only do they want receipts but also have a credit card statement. Plus hotel documentation that you were really in Paris. This is a company who wants to not give any money out for people who truly has a medical case. I would never recommend this company and will tell others to avoid TII.

The worst!! Do not purchase travel insurance through this company. They do not honor their policies and will not pay out or reimburse you anything especially if you use a travel agency!!! They will take your money then deny your valid claims for whatever reason they choose. The policy language is contradictory. It says one thing but means something totally different. I will be seeking legal representation against this company!!

We did not need to use the insurance while in Europe; however, it was very comforting to know that we had it in case we needed to use it. I recommend to anyone that they secure their trip. Flights get canceled, connections get broken, delays happen and medications only go so far. Anything could go wrong, so why not be prepared for emergencies.

A disappointing experience with Travel Insured International. A claim was filed after I was diagnosed as needing emergency surgery the day before my trip. I submitted the info for the documents for a claim but a response took months. The claims process was frustratingly slow, and the same documents had to be submitted multiple times. It felt like the company was trying to avoid paying the claim. Then they finally called to deny my claim on a technicality.

I bought this insurance in case I needed it. Well I became ill and doctors wrote about it and they denied me getting my refund due to the fact that I bought the insurance when I made my final payment and I really wanted to go on the cruise, not be ill, no one wants to be ill. I had bought insurance before this from Alliance and had a little problem, and they were fantastic and helpful but I would advise NO ONE to purchase from this company!!!!

I'm a big believer in travel insurance and always purchase it for big trips especially those involving varied family members. I also understand the importance of why there are specific explanations as to what is covered and what is not. Frankly, I feel in this case, the failure of evaluating our situation with some logic, was quite unreasonable. The trip was to be for 8 family members (4 cruise cabins). My step-daughter started ONE YEAR in advance to secure her birth certificate... born in Australia when my husband was an exchange pilot in their air force. If she applied for her updated passport PRIOR to getting her birth certificate, there would have been a "flag" so to speak in the system that she had applied and it had been denied (because of lack of all documentation). She was advised to wait for the birth certificate... and has a trail of phone calls, messages, and emails to demonstrate her effort to get it.
It finally arrived 2.5 weeks before the cruise--not in time to get the passport. The entire family trip fell apart. Even though she had been following all proper procedure in an effort to secure her passport, because that didn't include the actual application for IT, our claim was denied. Thousands of dollars lost because a human couldn't see clearly that she had work diligently to apply for the actual passport. I do realize her failure to apply meant that it didn't technically meet the criteria, but I'd have to say that the insurance companies have totally lost the human logic and human touch in providing their service.

Travel Insured consistently respond quickly. Their representatives are very polite and understanding. Airlines should be as responsive and ethical in applying compensation so that insurers don't have to pick up the slack!

My trip to Israel was postponed by 3 months due to the conflict going on there. Delta Airlines had stopped flying into Israel temporarily and Travel Insured International adjusted my travel days so I'm covered for my trip in March. Thank you.

Initially purchased two policies pre-covid. When covid struck, neither vacation was covered because covid was a non-covered issue. I received credits for coverage of future vacations. I used one credit to cover a vacation with my mother-in-law (which I had to purchase additional coverage for). My mother-in-law died 2 weeks prior to the vacation and dealing with Travel Insured to recoup the unreimbursed costs was horrendous. My wife broke down in tears on multiple occasions and on one call just had to hang up due to unreasonable badgering by the agent. The second credit was used but claim was not necessary. Do not use this company unless you purchase cancel for any reason insurance.

I purchased this insurance upon the recommendation of my travel agent. I don't know if she has ever dealt with Travel Insured International's claim process, but it isn't straightforward. The website encourages you to start the claim on line, but uploading documents fails on multiple browsers. Then I called and was told there's a ticket submitted on the document upload process so they'll email me the forms and I can email my documents. The emails did not include a Trip Interruption Claim Form, which I needed. That was solved by another exchange of emails since I couldn't find the form on their website.
Long story short my claim was approved in slightly less than a month from my first attempt to file, or two weeks after they got their last required form. This company requires you to use their own forms which complicates the process. If you're good at scanning and uploading forms and can tolerate some frustration you'll get there eventually. This was only my second travel event that required a claim, but I found their processes unnecessarily complicated compared to my previous experience.

Traveling internationally always poses some risk - medical insurance and insurance on personal belongings across international borders can be difficult to determine, but when I get the Travel Policy from Travel Insured International I have a high level of confidence that I have coverage. I've used them several times, and on one trip had need of the policy. While the incident that required the claim was not much fun, it was a pretty smooth experience to file the claim. I would recommend them to others with no hesitation.

We did not need to use our insurance thankfully. We feel the price is reasonable and it is worth having for the peace of mind. Definitely less expensive than purchasing through the cruise lines. I would recommend to others and hope to never have to use it. We did have a cruise cancelled due to covid and this company gave us a credit to use in the future which they probably did not have to do.

DO NOT - DO NOT – DO NOT use this company for any type of Travel Insurance -YOU’LL BE SORRY YOU DID! In my opinion, it is absolutely, the worst staffed company in the USA, including the President and CEO who have absolutely no customer care skills, no compassion, ridiculous rules, and horrific and torturous claim filing procedures. The bottom line, they will do anything to deny your claim. After getting nowhere with their claims representative, I asked to speak with a supervisor. IT TOOK 3 DAYS FOR A SUPERVISOR TO RESPOND and he give me the same excuses why the company could not pay the claim. I then wrote the CEO and the President of the company and here is an exact quote from the response I received from the President’s Office:
“I wanted to review where we are now with your claim. I understand that Justin from claims reached out and you two had a conversation regarding our need for the supporting documents we have requested. You are right that it would seem insensitive for us to question your claim request. We looked into the timeline of the claim and the trip was cancelled prior to your wife expiring. Hence, it is a claim for trip cancellation based on sickness, not death.” “We understand why you feel we are insensitive as we have a death certificate. However, because of the trip cancellation prior to your wife’s death, we need to review for payment based on sickness. I hope you understand."
My wife took out their insurance in March or April for a trip to Italy in September with her brother, sisters, nieces and nephews – a trip of a lifetime that she was looking forward to. On May 10th, 2024, she was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer and died on May 31st, 2024. In May she filed a claim with the company that she wasn’t feeling well. In the beginning they sent a claim form for the charges that were being claimed. When she passed away just a few weeks later THAT’S WHEN ALL HELL BROKE LOOSE. As her surviving spouse I simply forwarded the DEATH CERTIFICATE, since we took out the optional coverage, to cancel for any reason. IT SEEMS THE DEATH CERTIFICATE IS UNACCEPTABLE TO THEM TO PROCESS THE CLAIM – IT DOES NOT QUALIFY FOR “ANY” REASON.
Their response was “She started the claim as “SICK” and must be “PROCESSED” as sick.” That’s when I was tortured by them making me revisit all the doctors and clinics to get the ridiculous claim forms filled out by the doctors. Bringing back the devasting memories of my poor sick wife, suffering in pain, at all these locations. The doctor’s offices were MORTIFIED that this company refused to accept a DEATH CERTIFICATE, whereas in the medical and legal professions, a death certificate is considered as absolute proof. COMPLETELY INSANE and INHUMANE.
This whole process has been going on for over 6 months and no payment for the claim has been sent to me. Just more forms and more excuses. Not only will you lose your premium money, but you will also lose your claim as well! In fact I just received their formal letter of denial of claim. This is a sham of a company. I am certain you can find a more reputable travel insurance company in the USA. Just stay away from this one! I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy!!!

We had a trip planned for Switzerland in Oct and unfortunately it was canceled due to a hurricane. It was super simple to go through the claim process and they told me everything I needed to send with the form (that they filled out and emailed me) to ensure the process went smoothly. Since they were so helpful and informative the claim was approved quickly. Will definitely use Travel Insured for future travel!

I've been trying to file a claim for a couple of weeks. All it does when you go to "File a Claim" is tell you that it's "Loading...Getting Profile Data. Please wait." and does not ever do anything. Tried on 2 separate devices and both do the same thing. The website states they highly recommend filing a claim online, but I don't think they really want you to file any claims. Would not recommend using this company if you expect you will have to file a claim.

I recently had to cancel a trip last minute due to an leg injury and surgery to my travel partner. I called Travel Insured, and they walked me through the steps to make a claim. Once I had all the info needed, including notes from the surgeon, I was able to file a claim. I was expecting several back and forths on the claim, but about a week later, I was informed that it had been approved and the payment was being sent. It was a great experience and the clear instructions I was given helped make the process and payment easy.
