I always use SquareMouth for my travel insurance. You have a multiple of options at good prices. I made three claims over the years and they have all been paid in a timely manner.

I purposely purchased my travel insurance from Squaremouth as they provide a mediation team to help the insured receive their insured benefits from the insurance company. I had to make use of this support in 2024 when my husband fractured his back shortly after I purchased the policy. The insurance company (Generali) requested an enormous amount of documentation which I provided. However, Generali then stopped responding to my emails and messages. I noted this on my review of SquareMouth and was quickly contacted by a member of the mediation team.

The site makes your choices easy to see, and my conversation with the agent was excellent! I would suggest one improvement, though. The printable cards to show proof of insurance are not obviously labelled, so I had to make a call to identify them. They should be larger and boldly labelled to avoid this extra step.

Professional service I can recommend. All questions were addressed and answered along with additional assistance to finalize purchase on website. Had to call back and make a change and that was also handled with no issues.

So far so good. I had a few questions for this new policy, and they were answered very promptly. I’ve had this insurance in the past (Tin Leg-Gold) and actually had to use it for a delayed trip home from Costa Rica. It covered delayed trip, and expenses incurred for the extra 3 days, until I could fly home, due to weather, and devastation it caused. Luckily I have not had to use it for medical issues, so I can’t speak to that. You just have to have receipts to prove all incurred expenses, which now a days a lot of it is electronic. I’m willing to pay that price to have that peace of mind.
