It was much easier to compare travel insurance policies on one site. I felt confident Squaremouth was the best choice when I read their policy stating they would back me up if there was a complaint. I have not gone on my trip or filed a claim.

First I did the online search for a policy. That left me with some questions. The agent on the phone was very helpful in sorting it out. When I bought the annual travel medical insurance the confirmation said I could take 2 trips maximum. That was a complete surprise. I called SquareMouth and they said if you want to cancel you have to call the insurance company. I called the insurance company and they assured me there was no limit to how many trips I took - that it was a known problem with SquareMouth. So all was OK in the final analysis.

My husband and I are senior citizens and Medicare does not cover your medical expenses outside of the United States. For this reason, we will NEVER travel without having travel insurance. I've used Squaremouth Travel Insurance and have been very pleased with their cost and also reimbursement on medical expenses.

Short review: IMG doesn't give clear explanations and takes forever to get back to you. Squaremouth initially talks a good game but in the end wouldn't even respond anymore to our queries. We will not be using either company for future travel insurance.
