This was the easiest process I have ever experienced. It was super user friendly, quick, and easy to follow. I would highly recommend Haven Life Insurance to anyone looking to buy life insurance. Only suggestion for improvement would be to make it clear the monthly payment will stay the same for the life of the policy term chosen once you give the quoted monthly payment. Very happy customer????

I really liked the website, and how simple it was to apply. The process is streamlined. I provided general info, and answered some basic health questions, and got a quote within minutes. I also liked that I did not have to deal with an agent.

As a whole, it was a great process. The registration was very simple and easy to understand. Ran into a few issues but customer service was great with everything. Exam was quick and easy, respond and processing time were good.

The application process was informative, transparent, and quick. I did a bit of research prior and the premium is very competitive. Lastly, it was all done electronically! After having an experiment with a pushy insurance agent this was a dream. Being backed by Mass Mutual is an additional bonus.

This was really quite easy to do, all from home. The questions were easy to understand, and there are even automatic information bubbles that pop up if you're unsure, simply by hovering over the "yes/no" answers on the site. Highly recommend based on the process. The pricing seems to be similar or better than other companies.

I shopped around a bit and found that Haven's prices were right for me for the amount of term coverage I was seeking for my family. I was drawn to check them out by a consumer advocate site that indicated that they offered a streamlined process to obtaining life insurance, and Haven did not disappoint. Should the policy ever need to be paid out, I only can hope that the process will be as easy for my loved ones as it was for me to get signed on.

Haven Life had the most friction-free on-boarding experience of all life insurers for sign up. Haven Life policy can be bought online without needing to talk to a policy agent. I really liked the swiftness in decision making and low premiums compared to other similar insurers.

Haven Life is a good, fast, friendly company. They really care about you as an individual and will give you their undivided attention. They also have a money back policy. You can look over the policy if you're not satisfied you can return it for refund. I would recommend Haven life to anyone looking for life insurance.

Worst experience I have ever had buying insurance. Took 5 months. Raised my rate nearly 50 percent above initial quote. Poor communications throughout the process.. Shop around - you can do better. I am.

Sometimes the underwriting team needs to request records directly from a physician. This information allows them to have a thorough understanding of your health so they can provide the most accurate offer.
We do know this process can add time to the review, depending on how quickly the doctor's practice responds. To help speed this up, we reach out to applicants and their doctor's office periodically.
In your case, the response time for these records was unacceptable. We apologize and will be reviewing our communication process going forward to make sure our valued applicants are as informed as possible.
For transparency, our quote tool offers three possible rates - based on health. The underwriting team then reviews the application and assigns a health rate class to determine the rate offered. The quoted amount can increase based on the results of the medical exam, and we recognize that can be frustrating when the offered rate is higher than expected.

Haven Life has been very supportive throughout the application process. Their procedures are clear and to-the-point, yet friendly. There's no urgency to agree. The ability to complete life insurance process online is absolutely fantastic. All my questions were answered using their online chat. I tried another company 1st, and they were terrible (Protective Life Insurance - STAY AWAY!). So I canceled them, googled a bit to find out a good company and Haven Life Insurance was at the top, for a good reason. It was easy, fast and reliable. Combine that with good customer service and I'm a believer!

I had my first child last year and have been meaning to get life insurance ever since; however, it was such an overwhelming and lengthy process that I kept putting it off. I LOVE that Haven Life was completely online (I never had to talk to a single person!) and I ended up not needing a medical exam. My monthly payment is perfect and I got more coverage than I initially thought I could afford. The peace of mind that my husband and son are protected fanatically if anything were to happen to me is a weight off my shoulders!

The whole process was a breeze to get through and wasn't overwhelming like other companies. I got a policy quote much faster than the other place I applied to and was happy with the rate I was approved for. I would most definitely refer a friend to this service if they wanted to get quickly approved life insurance at an affordable rate.

This was an awful experience. I applied for a small amount of term life insurance to supplement my existing life policy. Haven Life's online application took me through the entire process - requiring ALL of my personal information including my name, social security number, date of birth etc. only to deny me coverage at the very end. They denied coverage because I will turn 65 soon. There was ample opportunity for Haven to terminate the application once they got my date of birth, but they waited until I had input all of my confidential information before turning me down. I find this bait and switch activity despicable and want to warn others to take care in entering their personal information especially if you're nearing age 65.

Every advertisement states no medical exam needed. I'm under 45 and healthy, just took an exam with a competitor, thought I would see my quote with a no exam company like advertised (literally everywhere) from Haven. I don't care about the time spent on the application, it's the highly sensitive info I gave during the process to make certain determinations, only to find I would need a medical exam anyway. Had they been upfront, anywhere in their advertisements, or on their site, that some folk may require an exam, I would have just passed. I just took an exam...defeats the purpose to take another and end up with same or similar quote.
Now, some kangaroo website/company has all my personal info - shame on me.....for falling for such a scam. I'm embarrassed and ashamed to fall for a 'no exam' life insurance company/quote and now I have to keep a heads-up for identity theft on top of it all. Don't fall for this stuff people. I would have given a zero if possible, forced to rate a one star.

Haven Life is advertised as a company that offers quick painless competitive online quotes. My experience: 6+ week process, medical exam, 25+ email and text requesting more information/asking more questions that were already answered in the application process. Receiving texts asking the same questions over and over again. My first quote of $165 jumped to $185 then $210 then $285 during a time that they had all of my information and no changes occurred. Truly disappointed with the disorganized communication and processing. Feeling suspicious that I fell for a Bait and Switch dishonest sales tactic.

The best thing about this experience was that I didn't have to talk to anyone on the phone. I did everything online. There was a small snag with verifying my identity because I spelled out my address completely instead of the way it was printed on my driver's license, but customer support was very helpful in getting it resolved, all through chat and email. Once my identity was verified, I was approved instantly without a health exam because I've been lucky enough to be reasonably healthy throughout my life. The monthly premium is affordable and I now have peace of mind for my family. I would definitely recommend this company.

Shopped around looking for life insurance. Found Haven Life to offer the best rate compared to others I've looked at. Haven Life's online application process is easy and the outcome was fast. And the rate I got is the best I've seen even with the additional rider. Their customer service responds very quickly and answered all my questions. Haven Life made the process of applying for and purchasing life insurance so simple! I might have spent five minutes on the entire process from start to finish. The monthly premium amount is also substantially lower than other companies I had priced. This was a win on all fronts.

Applied online and it was very simple and easy process, needed a physical because of the amount of coverage I requested. Nurse came to my office, she and I completed everything that was needed and in a few days my results were in and I paid my first premium and my coverage started. I picked this company because I needed coverage outside of my employer, so if I decided to leave and work for someone else I did not have to start over and if I decided to retire I would still have coverage. Very satisfied and happy I choose Haven Life Insurance company.

Applying with Haven Life was a simple process. At age 65, I didn't think it was possible to qualify for affordable life insurance. I was wrong. I qualified for $100,000 for $56/month! The process was so smooth, intuitive and fast that I, for a moment got confused if the final offer was an estimate or the real offer. Just amazing!! The system electronically verified financial and medical fitness in real time and issued an acceptance. This is how insurance should be.

I saw and add about Haven Life and I filled out a quick online questionnaire. Within minutes I had a new life insurance policy. I was amazed at the price which was nearly half of what I was paying for another policy. I also liked the interaction I had with the portal which was very pleasant. I highly recommend this service. I am also glad that it is part of Mass Mutual which is a great company.

Great rate for a term life policy provided by MassMutual. Better than agents were quoting for MassMutual policies. Process was easy. Medical is needed for 45+, but is only a 20 minute at home process. After approval provided, you can adjust your term and amount and see price changes instantly before you decide.

The online application process is well designed and the medical exam was convenient and straightforward. Haven Life gave me a great rate and it's good that the policy is really through Mass Mutual. Heads up: They only offer monthly payment options via a ACH bank account (at this time 6/2018). This was not completely clear to me at the start. A yearly payment option and a credit card option would be appreciated.

First, Haven Life is expensive. Second, Haven Life is a new company with not very strong finance compared to large insurance companies. That means it might not exist after 30 years. Third, Haven Life advertises that it does not require a medical exam. But, that is not true. After spending almost one hour on the application, you will meet the statement that you need to have a medical exam. Haven Life will lie anything to make people to apply. Haven Life does not care whether you wasted your valuable time or not. All Haven Life cares is to make you apply.

By nature, medically underwritten term life insurance is more detailed because it requires information about your lifestyle and health history. For many, this keeps pricing more affordable since the insurer isn't making any assumptions about your health.
To clarify the stability of the policy, Haven Life is backed and wholly owned by MassMutual, which has 167 years of experience in the insurance industry and has an A++ rating from A.M. Best, denoting superior financial strength. Every policy secured through Haven Life is issued by MassMutual.
Regarding a medical exam, we can offer a no-exam process for qualified applicants up to age 45 who are applying for up to $1M of coverage, provided we have enough information to make a decision from the application materials and other data we gather. If there is a detailed medical or prescription history, or if there is very little information to go on, we will require a medical exam to be taken. We strive to make it clear in our advertising that a medical exam may be required, and we are sorry to hear you feel this was not communicated to you.

I was trying to get life insurance with this company and they had me filled out all these question and all this work and even came to my house and took blood. And a complete waste of time and patient be aware this company isnt clear at all because I stated from the start that I was diabetic and after all the trouble and the test and answering question I didnt get accepted without any explaining or consideration whatsoever from either the tech that came to my house or the company itself. Do not try this company. Not trustworthy or honest or clear on anything they do. Stay away and be aware.

We do our best to convey decisions as soon as possible, but in some situations, it is challenging for the underwriting team to make a decision on the application information alone. The underwriting team may then need to review current medical information in the form of lab results in order to ensure the decision they make takes into account all pertinent information. When I started looking at adding a term life policy there were a lot of options. I chose Haven Life because of its association with Mass Mutual. The online application was simple. I called for clarification of a item, the customer service rep was very prompt with a reply. The only shortfall was the physical. Read more at the end. After the physical, the turn around time for my approval was just over a week. I was approved at the original quoted price. Be honest on your application questionnaire for similar results.
Their testing company (3rd party) scheduled me for a in lab physical. Once I got there they told me they couldn't do it. Not a happy camper (I had fasted and scheduled off from work). I recontacted their testing company and rescheduled a in home physical. The technician called to say she was running late, which I appreciated. Her estimated time of 1/2 hour turned into an hour. It's all over and the results were good, I just wish it had gone smoother.

I am a shop before I buy 60 year old man. I research reviews, value, quality and ease of acquiring my term life insurance purchase. Haven Life had the lowest quoted price on the internet, and a breeze to apply online. I quickly got email replies, then set up a health exam to my house like clockwork. Here's the best part, my checkup was so good, they lowered my quoted rate per month. I was quoted twice as much with other well known companies, even AARP sponsored insurer. I don't work for any insurance companies nor am I paid to review Haven Life, but I'm Happy and it's all for my Wife.

Hi, I compared Haven/Mass Mutual with two other life insurance companies and found they had the best rate by a significant margin. I asked a bunch of pesky questions and was always given a prompt response. I also like their paperless system, which streamlines the process and reduces waste. Very quick and easy process. Blood work was easy to schedule and quote was available shortly after. Enjoyed the online application and process. It was nice not having a pushy salesperson, but instead given the information for you to make a decision yourself. I would recommend this to anyone.

The online application process is well designed and each stage went very smoothly. The medical exam occurred in a timely manner and the process was wrapped with an online payment setup. My only complaint is that there seems to be only monthly payments versus annual.

I was looking for insurance for my wife and me. Both of us are in our late 30's, non-smokers, ideal weight, and no chronic health issues or family history of issues. I qualified for the ultra-preferred (non-smoking) plan for Haven Life. I say this to point out that this process should have been pretty simple. The Haven Life process was quick and painless. I completed the physical (not everyone needs to do this for Haven) component for both providers on the same day, by the same person. Haven Life was able to get me a quote 3 weeks before Zanders. Both quotes were comparable with Haven being slightly better.
My wife went with Zanders and had her physical (Zanders requires physicals) done at the same time I did. She still hasn't gotten a quote and has had Zanders return to her multiple time saying they need extra paperwork. I've had my life insurance for a month, and my wife is still going through the Zanders process with additional information requests. For reference, we both completed the physical on December 9th, and I was insured by January 11th with Haven Life, and I could have been insured by late December, but I was giving Zanders more time to give me a quote. As of January 24th my wife still hasn’t gotten a quote.

My previous term life policy expired and was set to triple in cost. Haven Life gave me more coverage, for a longer term, at a much lower cost. Getting the physical locally and the coordination with Haven Life by the lab was totally problem free.

I'm 53 and in great health. Not overweight. Work out 5 times/week. No alcohol or tobacco. No prescription drugs. No dangerous sports. Yet, once I went through the extensively personal questionnaire giving a LOT of personal info, Haven Life stated that they would require a physical exam. Since Haven is more expensive than others, and a new company, and don't have the long-standing reputation of other companies, why would I go through the same extensive process to get life insurance through Haven vs. another well-known company? Disappointed and feeling misled by Haven's advertising. Not a good thing for a new company trying to build a reputation in this industry it seems.

Our InstantTerm, no medical exam process is available to qualified applicants under 45, and we make a conscious effort in our advertising to not overpromise "no medical exam" for that very reason. If you are willing to email help@havenlife.com and share where you saw the ad, we would be eager to revisit the messaging to ensure we're clear.
In regards to the dependability of Haven Life, we are backed and wholly owned by MassMutual - a leading life insurer. They also issue our Haven Term policy. While the questionnaire may have seemed detailed, the questions and information needed are industry standard. We simply lead with it as we try to receive all the information necessary for underwriting up front, instead of coming back later with these questions.Many insurers offer a general quote on websites, which requires less information, but does not take into consideration important, price impacting insights about the customer to be accurate.
Again, please do share with us where you found the ad because we want to do anything possible to reduce frustration for our customers later in the process.

I'm turning 50 this year, and am a father to 3 beautiful children, and one fantastic wife. I've owned life insurance in the past, but due to a change in jobs, needed to secure new life insurance. I searched the internet for providers, and found Haven Life, by Mass Mutual, to be the easiest to fill out an application online, and get the process started. Within days, they had set me up to have my medical exam completed, sent me the results online, whereby I could see all my history, and approved me for coverage within a week of my exam. The entire process was professional, easy to understand, and seamless from start to finish. I would highly recommend their services.

The process of obtaining life insurance with Haven Life was simple, efficient, and convenient. Scheduling the medical exam was easy and you can have it done at your home. Given my good health, I received an excellent premium for a 20-year term policy. I recommend checking out Haven Life.

Was provided initial quote based on my current health, and referred to a physical exam. This process took nearly a month. The physical supported the information provided on my application, basically that I am a type 1 diabetic with an A1C below 7.0. For those familiar, this is exceptional control, yet this is the reason I was denied coverage, and is the exact information provided on my application. Sure, it's their "right" to deny for any reason they want, but also our rights as consumers to call out companies that won't stand behind their marketing BS.

Seamless way to buy life insurance. If you are looking for a term policy, and don't want the hassle of having a blood draw and lab workup, this is the way to go. You can insure up to 1 million dollars for a 30 year term. Hopefully soon they will allow clients to stack multiple policies.

It took over a month for them to decide. In fact it took so long I had to resubmit another application because the original one expired. I had perfect lab exam results and in spite of that the amount I have to pay each month is more than a person with health issues. No explanation on why the premium is so much, even with perfect lab results.

I was delaying getting life insurance because of the long and manual process. Life insurance was the only type that you couldn't purchase online - you could do quotes, but everything else had to be completed in person and via paper. This is 2016! I then finally found Haven Life - it was a new company, but owned by Mass Mutual which is A+ rated. Plus the rates were less than all the other "brick & mortar" companies, and the signup process was super easy! 15 minute application, instant approval, amazing process! Definitely will recommend them and hope other insurance companies take light.

I was very pleased with Haven Life. True to their word, I was approved and covered immediately. Scheduling the medical test was simple and, shortly thereafter, I received the results and got my insurance in place at the same premium I was initially offered.
