I have been with Geico close to 15 years at first I thought they were great but I only had roadside claims then I had an accident. A lady pulled into from behind me into my lane had nowhere to go because there were cars parked in front cars behind us that it stopped to allow me to merge in a construction zone. She came from behind me had nowhere to go and hit the side of my RV after I started merging into the lane. The first point of contact was her driver side mirror. I did not run over her vehicle though. She scraped along the side of my vehicle with the driver's side mirror and caught her front bonnet, pulling it loose from the clips. I was merging in a thirty foot RV.

Geico is placing me at fault. My full coverage went from 58 a month to 713 a month. I have asked for a review, and they are going with her statement that she was already in the right lane. I can't even get them to send an agent out to physically inspect my RV. It is plain as day that the first thing to touch my RV was her mirror, which means she was parallel to me. She came from behind me and had nowhere to go because I was across both lanes. This is. Just ridiculous. This is the third claim that I've had where Geico found me at fault without even doing an investigation they never inspected my vehicle and they acted as if I was lying when I gave them my statement. Don't buy Geico guys. They don't like to pay out.

I live near Pensacola FL. I notified Geico we were relocating to a Gated Senior Community and needed to update my info for my next Policy Premium in Sept. First my spouse and I have perfect driving records. The current policy amount for 6 months is $441.10. Are you ready; Geico gave me a quote of $1044 from 7/21/22 to 01/21/23. When I questioned why, the agent sounded like a boat motor; but, but, but, but, but... I was actually able to get a "more reasonable" from USAA. As a side note; it is very aggravating to wait so long to talk to a Geico agent. Whatever happened to their physical locations? I will never do business with Geico again!

Bad experience with resolving my claim. Adjuster stopped responding to me, and I been waiting more than month for his manager to review documents that I sent.

Right now Mr ** just started ignoring me.

GEICO denied my claim for damage caused by an animal to my roof. Apparently animal damage to your RV is not covered if the unit is stationary. I am now on the hook for $9,000 repair on a 6 month old camper and looking for a better option for insurance. Make sure you fully read and understand the limitations of their policies.

Tropical storm in Houston 9/18/19. Roof started to leak as there was a crack in the roof gasket material that suddenly appeared. It had rain prior to this date with no problem. I filed a claim and they sent out an adjuster that new nothing about RV's, she took photos and said it was due to me not maintaining the RV properly. The exact same statement the office adjuster had stated. So now they need to send the photos to the legal department and an RV specialist to see if they will pay the claim. The office adjusters famous quote is: "We want to pay the claim but we need to prove the claim is covered by your policy." Same problem during storm Harvey where my car flooded, adjuster misrepresented the mileage on the car so they sent out a lowball offer for a one year old car, and yes they did raise my rates after that. They have now problem collecting the policy premium, but look out when you file a claim.

98° day heading up the final mountain before Coeur D’Alene, ID. Saw blue smoke in the side mirrors. I was thinking I was on fire. Pulled over immediately, ran to back of my RV. No fire, no smoke. Looked under the rig and saw transmission fluid flowing out on the ground. I figured transmission was gone. Called GEICO (my insurance and roadside assistance). Told the woman my situation. She found me a auto/RV repair shop that specializes in transmissions. She found a towing company that would be there in 2 hrs. I told her I would need a taxi. She got me a taxi. Went and rented a car, went back to RV, met tow truck driver. He dropped the RV at the auto repair shop. He said it was ok for us to sleep in the RV at night at the repair shop. They were closed. Spent two nights in RV, then got a motel for 4 days. The repair shop let us have a loaner car for our stay. Total costs to get transmission fix was $500. A very ethical repair place. And Kudos to GEICO.

In 2016 while my husband was driving us back from the Grand Canyon in our motorhome a terribly strong wind storm hit. We realized our awning had broken and the metal was hitting the sides and windows on passenger side. When we could pull off the road we did, by this time the metal had broken and throwing metal rods as well as on top of the motorhome smacking it very hard. I called the police dept. as I felt someone should keep traffic as far away until we could get the awning off the roof, concerned if the wind broke it off it could go into the traffic lane. We called Geico and filed a claim. We were told since it was weather related it would not count against us.

Last week I contacted Geico to remove our 2014 car and add our new car. I found out our insurance was going up an additional $400. I've been a Geico customer for over 20 years with my husband and prior to that 15 yrs. That was the only claim we've had including one from the same trip, the rain started and my husband had to go up on top to cover the broken air conditioner on the motorhome as it was raining and the A.C. had damage from the broken awning, water leading to more damage if it wasn't covered. He broke his denture due to the conditions on top of the motorhome.

Upset that our car insurance increased $400, I was getting quotes from a few other companies and learned that Geico reported this weather related incident to the D.M.V. I haven't had a ticket in 50 years and now this is on my record as well as my husband's. It's not bad enough they have treated a senior couple, both 68 this year and my husband a retired Marine and long time customers of Geico with such disregard and trying to stick us up for an additional $400 knowing they put a smear on our driving record hurting our rates with other comp. due to that.

After 30+ years with GEICO insurance changed cars and added new one last week, my insurance went up $400.00 year. When looking for new insurance as GEICO won't budge I learn from another company that they reported this as an accident to the DMV. No one was driving and I NEVER even drive the motorhome that this extreme wind damage in Arizona did returning home from the Grand Canyon 2 years ago and as long as that's on my record the cost with anyone else is still $300 more. I haven't had a ticket in 50 years, this has me almost in tears.

I left my recently purchased class A diesel pusher at a CAT dealer in Gainsville FL for engine repairs in August while I was working for FEMA on hurricane Irma relief. I was then sent to Puerto Rico for Maria and didn't return till Dec 15th. During that time the motor home suffered roof damage from the storms but I was not aware of it till I returned. I notified Geico about the damage and they said they would send an adjuster asap. The first adjuster looked at it Jan 10th and wrote an estimate for $13,700 for repairs. After several calls to Geico the claims examiner in FL over the next several weeks she finally told me the adjuster had never sent in the claim before going on vacation.

It is now mid Feb. and 2 more adjuster visits to the repair facility where it is parked and Geico will only tell me it is in process and they haven't decided whether they will cover it. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told that under no circumstances would they accept any phone calls from customers. There was no one that I could talk to about my claim, I should just wait to hear from them but they had NO idea when that might be. Now I understand why their advertising rep is a reptile. WORST customer service EVER.

I am a good customer of theirs, with a perfect driving record. I called for a quote back in June, for a class A RV. I don't plan on purchasing an RV until next year, but want to get my research done now. So I decided a class C would better fit my situation, as it is far more versatile, due to size and maneuverability. I called for a quote and in the conversation I mentioned that I was considering living in it full time at a nice RV park (I am retiring). At that point the Customer Service representative told me he could not quote me and I should call a local insurance company. I was then told I am blocked (denied coverage) for getting a quote for 6 months.

Having been a Fraud Agent for a major bank, I was livid over being treated like a potential fraudster. Called Good Sam and got a very reasonable quote in minutes, regardless of how I intend on using the RV. I am not the type of person to take this type of abuse lightly, as my primary vehicle is still insured with them. Having been a finance manager in the car business for 30 years, I know GEICO is a good company, but this problem is more of a reflection of BAD ATTITUDE on the part of customer service. The idea of blocking your own customer from getting a quote for 6 months, because they are considering different uses, for the vehicle, is insane.
