Very low customer skills on your part, poor communication and not trusted, it took 3 times and countless calls to T-mobile and Assurant just to get my phone replaced and after I gave you my CC 3 times I felt like you guys don't care about the customer. I had been considering canceling my insurance on all my lines (5) so I can find something better.

If I could give no stars I would. I submitted a claim for a broken screen on Oct. 11th, received the replacement phone on the15th. I was unable to get the power cord to sit all the way in the port and the phone would not charge. The glass was beveled and the color was off as well. I contact Assurant to send the replacement phone back to get another one and they stated that I had the phone 12 days, when in fact I only had the phone for 9 days that is if you count today. They would not replace the phone, rather they sent me to T-Mobile tech support to file it on a warranty replacement.
To top it all off they did a cold transfer and did not even explain anything to the T-Mobile technician, so I had to repeat it all over again. I pay 14.99 a month for this service and $99 dollar deductible for crappy service and a crappy replacement. Why do I even bother to have the dang insurance. T-Mobile tech service was awesome and I will be picking up a new phone tomorrow.

When I called in the first time the agent heckled me about my condo number and I had to end up buying another phone until I could get a replacement phone. Very bad experience to talk about under 200 recommended characters.

Trash experience took me. 2 weeks to get my phone. They sent out the wrong one the first time and held up the second one. For NOOOO reason. All because they accidentally didn’t see the other phone was back in transit.

The people I worked with were excellent and pleasant to deal with. Unfortunately, the device I received has a problem. When I go to settings and try to search with the magnifying glass, it "Unfortunately, the process com.android.settings has stopped". So if I don't know where to find what I need to change something, I am unable to find it with the search tool. The reason for giving this a 3 star is the people I spoke with. Very nice. Too bad the replacement device is not completely working correctly.

Very fast and efficient replacement and process. Completed report easily and phone delivered next day. Right phone delivered and was up and running within 24 hours. Well worth having the policy. Hope it never need again. But will not fear having to file.

It took 2 weeks to get my claim approved. I had to submit the claim twice. The first time was declined justifying that the device wasn't insured. I had to call again and the person I spoke with found the mistake and I had to resubmit the claim again :(.

I dropped my phone off my motorcycle. I filed a claim under lost or damaged. I was suppose to only pay $99 for the deductible. You charged me the theft deductible of $199. I have yet to be reimbursed.

I went into 2 stores on Oct. 11th and was given a little different information. The 1st store told me it would be $99 to replace my tablet screen so I left. Later that day I decided it needed to be spend so I went to the 2nd store and they informed me the insurance was only $49 and the representative was willing to go over and beyond to help me along the way. I eventually ended up using the money I saved on the tablet replacement to buy a smart watch from the same representative.

Very good service. I was disappointed with the delivery service being a day late. Everything else was just great! The phone worked. It was nice to do online without having to speak to a person that spoke English as a second language.

It took 2 weeks, 2 visits to US Cellular, at least 5 phone calls to Assurant, and a lot of "We're so sorry ma'am" to get a replacement phone. On 2 different occasions within the first few days we asked If they needed any addition info from us. 'No' was the answer each time. Hurry up and wait. Then after a full week, I'm asked for my license, finally, and then told it would go through the 3-5 day review period again! I spoke to what I was told was a manager who all but laughed at my frustration with a simile requirement being missed by every single person I talked to. Ridiculous.

My son's cell phone needed to be replaced after he accidentally dropped it. Assurant sent a replacement phone asap with a return package to send the broken phone back. They made this process simple and transparent. Kudos!

Went to the nearest store, and did all the paperwork from there, paid my deductible and several days, received a new phone but noticed my bill went up. (T Mobile forgets to inform of senior discounts or tell about price increases).

Misplaced Motorola cellphone. Local dealership was very accommodating. The most frustrating part was the delivery of the replacement phone by FedEx. According to FedEx, delivery would be made by 4:30. Date and time stamp was 4:26. Arrival at the phone store was 5:00. Staff there was very accommodating.

My experience with the replacement phone I will have to say is alright, I noticed that some features seem to be slightly different though. And next time FedEx or DHL are way better for delivering packages than UPS.

Filed claim and replacement device was sent on 10/14/19. UPS never delivered device. Claims box was empty. I still have not received my replacement. I have spoke with an agent with Assurant. A investigation has been opened. Please send device ASAP.

They charged me $49.00 for a tier 2 phone and replaced the Revel2+ phone with a lesser model, smaller screen. NOT THE SAME PHONE. They did not send a charger with this replacement phone. I am very dissatisfied.

My screen was accidentally damaged and they didn't have my phone so I got the newer in its place thank you so much!! Their services and customer care went above and beyond. I am so glad I have my insurance coverage for incidents like this.

I filed claim to Assurant Tmobile on 5/31/2019 for APPLE IPHONE X 256GB SLV TMO, and received the replacement device, and have send them back the returning device via the label from Assurant (USPS Tracking# **, status delivered). On 8/31/2019, I got billing from Tmobile for $629.71, saying that Assurant have never received the returning device. I called that gave them the USPS tracking number and the delivered status, and Assurant told me and Tmobile reps to wait 1-2 billing cycles while they're reversed the credit from my billing. After 1 billing cycled (and I got charged 2x late payment fee), I called again (together with Tmobile reps), and now they said, they cannot reversed the credit, and told me that the device that they have received was having different IMEI and different color. Funny, ya?
Then I told them, "Fine, I would pay the billing, but give me back that different device that they told me." They refused because they have fixed that device and sent it to another customer. I was like: WHAAATTT? They said, the one that they received is APPLE IPHONE X 256GB GREY color. First, they said: they're NOT received the device and told me to wait 1-2 billing cycles. Second, they said the received a different device. Whenever I'm trying to get the information about the wrong-device that they said, they cannot provide that. How can I trust their warehouse saying that the one that I sent is different color? And why did I need to wait 1-2 billing cycles and got charged the late payment fee for that billing?

If I was able to give it 0 stars I sure would. My initial claim started on October 10th. I received the first replacement phone on Friday October 11th. After getting home from work I call customer service to activate the "new" phone to find out that the phone is still activate on someone else's account. How could that be? So after calling Assurant back I am told I have to send that phone back in, I will be receiving an email with a FedEx label because the one I have to mail the damaged phone back in will not work. So Saturday 10/12 by noon I still do not have the email, I call back in and am told it takes 24 hours for an email to go through but my $100 deductible came out of my account before hanging up the phone (I work with computers daily and it does not take that long), but as soon as I mail the "replacement" phone back in and it is scanned "in transit" at FedEx then my 2nd replacement phone would be overnighted immediately.
Since Monday 10/14 was a holiday I could not mail it in until the 15th. So the 16th I get off of work and no phone. I call to ask where the phone is and am told that there was a miscommunication and the new 2nd phone will be mailed out. So I wait.... Thursday 10/17 no phone, I think well I called in so late on Tuesday it didn't go in the mail until Wednesday morning. So I wait.. Friday 10/18 still no phone. So I call and every time I call I have to go through everything that has happened because no one takes notes and puts them in my account. I am told that the order was never actually sent in on Tuesday night and that my phone would not be mailed until Monday because Assurant doesn't mail on Saturday's.
After me asking twice for a supervisor I am connected to someone who called themselves a supervisor (I think it was just the person sitting next to the other person) I directed her to the website where it states that if the claim is made before 8:30pm ET then the product will ship on Saturday she finally agrees to ship it Saturday but would not overnight it where I would receive it Monday 10/21. I finally receive a phone on Tuesday 10/22 and was able to activate the phone on my account and use it. But no one wants to compensate me for my time loss without a phone. Everyone was quick to take my money for the deductible and when the phone bill came due in the middle of all of the is they sure wanted that! So overall my experience with Assurant is about as shitty as it can get and has caused me to rethink Metro and T-Mobile and the first chance I get will be leaving Metro because of this.

The process to have my mom's phone replaced was extensive and not user friendly. First, I called to see if she would be able to take care of this herself, since she is on my account. I found out that I needed to take care of it, and complete an online form to submit her claim. The online form to complete for the claim was not quickly responsive, and I had to try to access at from different places multiple times to get the pages to load. Additionally, I was asked to upload a copy of my phone bill, with no instructions on how to do this, or where to upload. The amount of time it took for all of this to be managed caused my mom, who was the one that had her phone stolen, to be without a phone for over three weeks, and since she is 75, I was concerned that if she had a medical problem, she would not be able to contact anyone in an emergency.

My experience was good until today. I received my replacement phone and returned my old phone via a T-Mobile store. I received and email letting me know that my old phone was received. I can't currently find the email but yesterday I received a letter from you stating that my old phone was not received. Kindly check your records because I will dispute any charges made. Thank you.

Luckily I had a vinyl cover on my phone on this day. I placed my phone on top of my car as I took off my jacket leaving work and didn't put it back in the car with me. So I drove at least 5 miles with the phone riding on top of my vehicle until I looked in my rear view mirror and saw it fly off on to the street. I turned my vehicle around to see it in the street on the opposite side of the road. It was still intact at this point until the 3rd car whizzed by only to run over it and it popped out the case and was crushed in a million intake pieces. I picked it up, only for it to reconnect to my car system and also ring the next day for alarm to get up.
I went by my local tmobile and Brandon gave me a paper with detailed information on what to do. I called, set up detailed resolve and because I called so early I was able to have my phone sent next day. I set everything up on the phone, (because I'd just done this 3 weeks prior). I received a envelope to send back damaged phone and that was it. Great service and instruction. Thank you tmobile.

Customer service poor. The replacement cost has been paid but 2 weeks later still no phone. UPS carrier is unable to track phone since it was said out for delivery 1 week. Assurant customer services refuses to ship new replacement phone even though UPS confirms they have no record of delivery and phone is lost. At a point where legal options may need to be weighed.

I am extremely annoyed. I paid full retail price for my Samsung Galaxy S9 Note through T-Mobile. We pay monthy for extra insurance. I sent in for a replacement through T-Mobile due to having a cracked screen and I received a refurbished phone as my replacement. Nowhere did it say that I was receiving a refurbished phone. If I knew that I would not have requested a replacement. Why would I pay 900+ dollars for a new phone to receive a used one? When it arrived it was dirty and had a disgusting and dusty screen protector on it. It doesn't hold a charge and is not charging with my Samsung products. I want a NEW phone not another used one. I will take this further if necessary.

IPAD replacement. I was overall happy. I didn't rate it higher because initially, I was going to be charged too much for my deductible based upon my device and the amount shown on the website. I had a T-mobile representative on the phone with me to call and verify. Initially I was told there was nothing that could be done until I insisted and spoke with a supervisor. She was great and realized the mistake. My card was not charged until they made the appropriate change to the information on the website so the deductible amounts were correct. I then ended up paying the amount that I pointed out initially. After that, the rest of the process was smooth. My new device arrived promptly and they received my return.

If I could give a 0 I would. The process was the worst I've ever experienced in my life, and I've managed fast food. Will never ever ever recommend!!!! It took 3 weeks, daily hour long phone calls, and years off my life to get y'all to accept it! If you need a receipt to do the claim how about asking for it when you put insurance on the phone and take my money for over a year!!!

Had an accident with the iPhone 7 and the back camera glass cracked and the whole phone was malfunctioning specially the internal microphone, because nobody could hear my voice just static noise incoming/outgoing calls. Very satisfied with the excellent customer service I've received throughout the claim process and thank the supervisor and all agents help. It was a horrible experience. I would never want to work with Assurant again. I received a damaged phone but they wouldn't replace it. They sent it to me with a screen issue but wouldn't send me another one until I sent this one back. That would leave me without a phone for a few days which I was unwilling to do. At one point, I was on the phone with them an hour and fifteen minutes as they transferred me back and forth between them and Apple Care and their managers. They said they would call back and never did. I still have the broken phone that they sent me and they haven't contacted me since. Such bad service sending a broken phone and then expecting me to send it back without having a replacement in my hand. It's a very bad policy.

I spent 2 years paying $15 a month for insurance on a I phone 6. I sent $ 99 to Assurant for me to received a refurbished phone....no charger no headphones...I think assurant is a scam. No I was not satisfied...I would like to speak to a manager. Or owner to conversate with them.

Overall bad experience. Waited over week for replacement device to be shipped. Finally got the notification the device had been shipped. It turned out to be the wrong device. Ended up cancelling the claim.

I filed a claim on 10 /10/19. Assurant has sent me out 2 refurbished cell phones that didn't work properly. Every time you call and talk to a representative they tell you a different lie. I sent the second replacement phone back to Assurant on 10/17/19. They told me to call once I dropped the phone off at the post office. I called at 4:50pm. They said they couldn't see that the package was in transit call back in a couple hours. I called back at 6:45. They said they still didn't see the package in transit. I went online to USPS put in the tracking number. I could see that the package was in transit. I called the next day they said, "Oh we can't send you out another phone until we receive your phone at our warehouse."
Well USPS tried to deliver the package on Friday 10/18 but there no one to accept the package at 3:30pm in the afternoon and the warehouse doesn't close until 8pm. Lol the package was delivered on 10/21. I called today. Now they say the phone has to be scanned in and inspected before they can send me out a new one. So the package was delivered on Monday 10/21 and today is Tuesday 10/22 and the package still hasn't been scanned in yet. I called at 2:00pm to see if my replacement phone had been sent out. I am so over Assurant just send me a phone that works properly...when you call customer service everyone should be on the same page. 10 people the same story. NOT 10 PEOPLE 10 DIFFERENT STORIES.

I purchased a new iPhone X June of 2018. I had issues with it about 5 months after purchasing it from my local T-Mobile store. This phone would freeze and lock up at least 6 times since purchasing it. I went 4 times to the store where it was purchased and they did a soft reset. Twice I went to the Apple store and they told me to never shut the phone off. That did not work either. The last time it happened the T Mobile store told me to contact the insurance company. Which I did and I asked the customer service woman if the phone replacement was new. She told me yes. Well guess what. It is not a new phone. It’s a reconditioned phone. The best part is there is only a 6 month warranty on this phone which cost me another $100.00 as my deductible. I will be canceling the insurance. Probably will be leaving T Mobile also.

How can it be possible that one pays over $300 (and counting!) for a policy, and when a claim finally comes in, it takes forever to process? Once I got tired of waiting, I actually contacted the company and was "helped" by a very rude CSR who decided being a smart aleck was more appropriate than actually helping me. In the meantime, I'm not paying for a phone, the insurance on a phone, and the service on a phone that I can't use. And according to these clowns, it will take ANOTHER 10 days to process my claim. All this for a phone? Good lord, I hope these nitwits never get into car insurance.

I needed a phone replacement due to a cracked handset on an iPhone XR. The process was unbelievably easy and flawless. The customer service agent was extremely helpful and patient. The agent was very thorough with providing all pertinent information to help the process go smoothly. The replacement handset is perfect! Not one issue. The packaging was complete as well as secure and all return labels and receipts were in the box, without issue. Overall the entire process was fast, accurate and VERY affordable. I am beyond satisfied with Assurant and I cannot stress enough how glad I am that I have this insurance on all my handsets through T-Mobile. I will definitely tell my friends and family as well as recommend Assurant to anyone who is in need of insurance for their phones and more. Great job all around Assurant! A+ #1.

It took me a week to do the claim. It would not accept the security code then said 'system error' for three days! I had to do it via chat (twice). I had to do the payment over the phone. Everyone kept referring me to the website even after I told them I couldn't do it through there. Super frustrating!!

Overall my experience was smooth. The claim was handled within 48hrs and my replacement phone was shipped within 24 hrs and was shipped overnight. My only issue was that I felt the insurance company could have extended themselves and sent me a completed product. Between the premiums and the deductible I feel it would have been courteous to include an adapter and charger. Those items could have been damaged or lost as well and would have preferred a Samsung certified charger.

I am under my brother, Josue **, plan. My phone was stolen 10/8/19. On 10/09/19 I filed a claim. On 10/10/19 I tracked my phone via FedEx. It turns out it was marked as 'Delivered' and had been signed for by someone else. I contacted FedEx, they opened an investigation and advised me to call in 3-5 days. That same day I called Assurant to inform them of this. The Assurant employee told me he contacted FedEx and filed a claim. Then said I should wait to hear back from FedEx. I asked if there was anything else Assurant could do. He said no, that it was policy for me to contact Fed Ex. I contacted FedEx on 10/17/19 and they stated the following "At this time, the shipper would need to be contacted so they can follow their lost package procedure as we are showing the package delivered to the correct address."
I contacted Assurant and spent 3hrs waiting on the phone to speak to a supervisor and to speak to an escalation agent. I spoke to a rep who made me wait an hour to speak to a supervisor, after answering the call the supervisor hung up. I called again and asked to speak to a supervisor, I waited again only to be hung up on again by a supervisor. The third was the charm, I was connected to a supervisor, who after keeping me on hold explained they could not help me and connected me to an escalation agent. The escalation agent then informed me after me re-explaining my case once again that I would have to wait 3-5 days for them to file a claim with FedEx. I asked why I had to wait longer.
She explained that today, 10/17, was the first day that Assurant was filing a claim or investigation with FedEx. I explained that another Assurant employee had already done that when I called on 10/10. She said she knew nothing about that. I pleaded for her to look at the conversation. She then explained that the employee had not filed a claim. I was so frustrated. I asked why the employee had not informed me of this, why I had not been connected to an escalation specialist and why I had to wait even more time. I wanted them to expedite this. I wasn't even sure now that what she was telling me was correct because I had already been told something on 10/10 that turned out untrue and cost me even more time.
I asked to speak to a supervisor. His was of pacifying my distress was to inform me that I was fortunate that I was not being told to wait an additional 14 days. I explained that I had already waited 9 days and that with the 3-5 additional days, it would make 14 days. He was unhelpful and told me that this was policy. I told him that I definitely would never recommend Assurant to anyone and that I would never again use this service. This company does not care about its customers and the works are incompetent and callous. This should serve as a perfect example of bad customer service for future trainings.

I called to request a replacement for another replacement phone I received a couple months prior to replace my original device. The SIM card reader went out on my first replacement. The person on the phone was friendly and took care of what I needed quickly and efficiently. I had my new phone 2 days later. I highly recommend using this phone insurance company. I requested for a new phone a Thursday, I was told I would receive my phone overnight with UPS which I was extremely happy about. Unfortunately when I received an email on Friday with tracking information my package was sent ground shipping. I was upset because I need my phone to work since we use certain applications that require codes. I decided to call customer care, I had to call 6 times. I spoke with 4 supervisors in which 1 gave me attitude and told me that I needed to call UPS and figure out why my package was sent ground. Another supervisor mentioned that they couldn’t get ahold of the warehouse since they can only call and that it kept going to voicemail.
It seemed impossible for anyone to do anything or have any connections as emails or direct connections with other managers. I was a little confused how this was all managed and felt uncomfortable of how this company had no care of my situation. I had to wait 6 days, 2 of which I couldn’t work or read work emails (since my job requires certain codes to access this information). I realized as well that this was a 3rd party to T-Mobile and that they didn’t use the same inventory as T-Mobile so going to a store as a back up to my situation wasn't a choice if I wanted to use my insurance for a phone replacement. My experience was not pleasant at all.

In general, It took 2 weeks to get my new device. The 24 hr delivery promised was unreal. The first rep I spoke to was very accommodating; however, did not process shipping which was the cause of the delay. My son was so upset; a teenager who did not have any way of communication for this long. I'm very disappointed with the false reassurances and broken promises.This needs to improve!!!

Received another defective phone, after paying $99.00 I was sent a phone that has the wrong charging portal. It came with nothing but the phone. Last phone was sent with cracks in the screen, heating and freezing battery. Very poor customer service, called at least 4 times 3 of which Tmobile overheard and was hung up on by a supervisor. I would not ever recommend this company.

Dropped phone. I submitted my ID info 8 times, 4 times with the assistance of a rep. I file 09/30 and it took till 10/11 to decide that to decide if my ID was acceptable. Most horrific experience. I will not have not recommend your service to anyone. I have sent complaints to T-Mobile about my experience. And after reading reviews online there are many others. Perhaps a class action suit needs to be filed.

I went to the Xfinity store to see if they could assist me with the process of making a claim because I did not have a phone to make a call to Assurant. When I got to a phone the $180 was taken with no problem and I was assured the phone would be sent out the next day. I called because I never saw anything in my email regarding the shipping. When I called I was told there must be a delay at the warehouse. From that point I just wanted to know how long I could be waiting. They customer service representative had no idea how much longer. I was wondering if it would be between a couple days or weeks. No idea still. So at this point I was wondering if I should switch carriers so I would be able to be in contact with family, work, etc. It did come the next day. I thought the pamphlet I was given from the xfinity store said it came with a charger. I could have at least got the key to open up the compartment for my SIMS card.

It was not a good experience. I first went to TMobile store in Bowie, Md. The rep was helpful, she let me know about my options and checked the phone's battery. She thought that my phone old be free if I kept the same kind. When I called Assurant, they went thru the steps, but told me to contact the warranty dept. Then the Warranty Dept sent me back to Assurant. I finally spoke to a Tmobile rep over the phone, she stayed on the line until my claim was processed thru Assurant. She was good. But she said that there was a deductible fee of $99.00.

This was the worst experience ever!!! I have been with T-Mobile for about 10 years and Assurant 9 or 10 years and I was treated like I was nobody!!! I would have took my complaint to social media, but I did not want T-Mobile to get any backlash as this was not their fault. I was lied to on my first call September 27, 2019! I was told it will only take 24hrs. to get your new phone. Mind you I manage a luxury spa and could not see my screen and me having a phone is a big part of my job. Then I was told I am so sorry it won't be 24hrs. because we don't ship on the weekend, so Monday for sure. September 28th, I sent my ID as requested.
Monday comes and no phone, Tuesday comes and no phone. At this point I am irritated and I call on Wednesday. They tell me oh there was an issue with your ID. What... No one said anything to me nor did they even bother to email me to let me know that I needed to resubmit my ID. All of this but still pay your bill on time, ugh!!! Everyone was sorry, but no one really cared enough to do anything about it until I talked to Niecey on October 10th. Yes, October 10th!!!! She looked into the issue and made it a priority and found that they still didn't like how my ID looked. If someone would have bothered to ask I would have told them there is a scratch on the back of my ID. They tried to say the front was me, but the back wasn't. Come on, for real!! That was very stupid!!!!
I thank Niecey, but as far as Assurant, they suck. I will be posting this on every message board I can for Assurant!! I finally got my phone on October 14th. For 10 years of loyalty that is what I got, absolutely nothing and nothing for the trouble they caused. Do you think they cared about my job, NO!! So if you can help it never come to Assurant they don't really care!! Continuous efforts to better serve you, that is the funniest thing I have ever seen!!! That is not the case with this company. I can see if one person dropped the ball on this. No several people did and I suffered, they still got their $99 though, lol. One of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had!!!!

I have insured my handsets with Assurant for many years, and this is my first claim. I received the new phone promptly. It looked like new, and transferring my apps and data to it went pretty well. There were a few things that didn't get transferred, like passwords, and setups for a few programs, but all in all it wasn't a whole lot of trouble. This was the worst I’ve ever dealt with anyone online. I went through this process with Verizon with no issues but with Assurant I felt like they were doing me a favor for supplying a service that I paid for. I tried for almost 3 days for the website to allow the picture of my ID to stick so the review process could start which again is a crock. The reviews process last 5 days which is also pathetic. Assurant is pathetic and I reported this experience to Spectrum. My personal belief is Assurant and their policies need to change in order for my view to change. Yes pathetic is the word. Pathetic. After having to deal with the crap at least the phone was good but from the online reviews I read after the fact I added insurance to the return phone due to what past customers have said about Assurant receiving the used phone and still charging the customer for the whole phone.

I lost a cell phone on Sept. 13, and Assurant shipped me a new phone on Sept. 16. When the new phone was damaged on Sept. 19, Assurant showed my claim as "accepted" online, but did not send a replacement. It turns out that even though their own records showed that Assurant had shipped me the phone I was claiming was damaged, they decided to deny the claim because T-Mobile was able to ping the lost phone. So Assurant pretended to believe it was the lost phone I was filing the claim on, even though their own records showed otherwise. When confronted on this, they blamed T-Mobile, and said it was T-Mobile's fault. When I went to T-Mobile, and a manager called Assurant on my behalf, Assurant first tried to stick to the story where they pretended to believe it was the wrong device. Then, they claimed it would take 24 hours to "reset their system".
24 hours later, they were back to the same song and dance -- trying to illegally deny my valid claim. I had to take two MORE hours off work, in a T-Mobile store, before they finally -- grudgingly -- agreed to meet their legal obligations and replace my phone. I had been unable to work for 3 days, because (in the 3 weeks since it was damaged) my phone had become unusable. I will never buy from Assurant again.

I had to call multiple times initially I was told 3-5 business days then another rude rep said 3-5 day not business days. The services was so poor and some of the reps are very rude. Very easy to take your money but to give out replacement phone, then it had to be reviewed and you will be out of phone to days.

Terrible experience. It took two days to try and use the insurance I pay for on the phone. Multiple phone calls and then phone transfer and hangups for one person to another saying they can't help. All of this occurs with everyone asking the same questions over and over again. This is likely a T-Mobile/Assurant problem as I learned you ask questions trying to figure out whose problem it is to resolve. I pay for a service and don't want to be in the middle of your processes I don't understand nor need to. Let us send the phone in and you determine whether it is broke, a failure or whatever criteria you have and determine whether warranty or insurance apply. Then I get charged a deductible. There is no deductible statement on any paperwork I receive.
This is the most frustrating experience I had this year with timeshare/vacation sales being 2nd. I left one cell company for terrible customer service and will now consider the same. That doesn't necessarily matter to you, Assurant but it may in the long run. I will say your service folks are well trained to ignore growing frustration on a phone call and say, nothing they can do to help while asking questions I don't have answers to but they must have an answer.

I was happy with how fast the process worked. However with the amount of money spent on insurance for these phones, I wish you could get a replacement right away from a store. These phones are need to communicate, we don't have a landline. The fact that if your phone is damaged on a weekend you have to wait up to 4 days for a replacement is ridiculous. So to wrap up, I was very happy with the customer service end of this and just disappointed about waiting 2 days to get a replacement phone.

I bought my phone new a few months ago, was approved for a replacement, still had to pay $100 (phone was $400 new) then I get a USED replacement. Phone insurance only makes sense if you need to replace a newish phone, and it still feels like a ripoff. I imagine if something happens to this "new" phone, they'll probably say it's too soon to get a replacement and they'll charge me probably close to the cost of a new phone or just won't approve it at all. Would save a lot more money just putting my insurance payments aside in my own account every month since I could have easily bought a used Pixel 3a for probably $50 more than what I had to pay to get a used replacement.

I have a few issues with my replacement order. One I had a white phone not a black phone. I understand you send what is available but would have preferred the white. 2 this phone phone keeps hanging up and getting stuck. I have to shut the phone down and turn it back on. Called in to get a replacement phone for my husband on 10/4/19. I spoke with a representative but was disconnected after answering so many questions. The representative never called back, even after verifying my phone number. I completed the $99 transaction online shortly after being disconnected. I called in again on 10/7/19 because I still haven't received the replacement. Representative said the replacement phone should be arriving any day, but she couldn't give me the tracking information. I informed her I would have to leave town on 10/10/19 and needed the phone delivered before heading out of town. Still no phone on 10/9/19 so I called again.
During this call, I was informed the payment hadn't gone through. I was told the phone was on the way on 10/7, then on 10/9 I was told the transaction hadn't gone through. At no point did Assurant reach out to me to let me know ANYTHING. I went in circles with this company. I missed the phone being delivered because I was leaving town on 10/10. The delivery driver left the phone on my front porch and it had to stay there for 6 days!! My husband asked the manager if we could have the phone delivered to a store near where we were traveling instead of our house. The manager was no help. This company does not handle business well. This kind of business is unacceptable. We pay monthly for a service that isn't being delivered. UNACCEPTABLE!

The first time I called into your company to open a claim, the man on the phone was totally unhelpful. However, the second time I called in, the gal who actually assisted me with the claim was perfectly wonderful. She managed to work around an issue that the first person didn't seem to know how to communicate well enough to assist with. I was quite thankful I got the gal on the phone to help me. She understood my frustrations from the first call, was very supportive, and took care of my claim fast and easy with a wonderful CS presence. I wish all CS experiences could be with people like her, and I wish I could remember her name! She was awesome!

After paying a deductible, I got my new phone in a few days. I stopped by the T mobile store a few days later and had my new phone set up. I checked my photos and they were not on my new phone. A week later, today to be exact, I accidentally hit the photo icon and all my pictures were there. Amazing!

The entire process was easy-peasy, but I think the return time frame should be in bold print. My US Cellular salesperson did not inform me of the 10 day return policy and I didn't notice that on the return label until I was preparing to ship. Also since the label provided for return is for Ground Service only I was unable to ship Express. Hopefully it was shipped in time.

My boyfriend lost his phone on a bike ride. I called Assurant to file the claim. It took about 10 minutes on the phone and 1 follow up email to sign my claim. Within 12 hours my claim was approved and we received the replacement the following day. Assurant was professional, easy to deal with and expedient. Highly recommend.

Guy barely spoke English. So it took quite a while on the phone to process the claim. After three days go by no phone. So I call again. This time they tell me they didn't collect a payment. So an overnight of the new phone turned into 5 days.

My experience was terrible. I was sent a replacement phone that was either locked to another carrier or still had the anti-theft protection active. Either way, I couldn't activate it. When I called in, the rep kept telling me that it wasn't possible and tried sending me back to TMobile to either troubleshoot or make a warranty claim there, which I would have been charged for. I told him that wasn't acceptable and he needed to send another replacement, which he told me wasn't possible several times.
When I asked to speak to a manager, he asked for my claim information, which is when it dawned on me that he hadn't even pulled up my claim yet. He also suddenly offered to send me another replacement, which he had just finished telling me wasn't possible. I told him I couldn't trust a thing he was telling me anymore and that I wanted to speak with a manager.
When the manager got on the line, I explained to him what was going on and mentioned that the front line rep had withheld a solution that I specifically asked for. He told me that the front line rep did nothing wrong because taking the inoperable phone that Assurant had sent me, to TMobile for a warranty claim was best for me. I told him that it wasn't because I would be charged by TMobile and it's still not okay to tell me that the option I asked for didn't even exist. He then told me that TMobile would waive the fee. This was when I revealed that I actually work for TMobile, and know for a fact that that fee is not able to be waived. He began arguing with me and would not just let it go and move on. I am very dissatisfied and will be purchasing protection from the manufacturer for my next phone. I would love to be contacted to discuss this further if needed.

Galaxy S8. The replacement process was very easy. The issue I have is that I paid $149.00 (plus $1.00 was held also, for what purpose was unknown to me). I did not receive a black phone, I received a light purple (lavender) in color phone, It has a few issues or shall I say cliche's with it. I had also informed them that my phone was dropped into a manhole outside of my apartment complex. I had informed the maintenance men of my loss, and unbeknownst to me they went out and was able to retrieve my phone. I sent it back, but I have not received any refund for doing so.

Went smoothly but had a bunch of problems with LTE and SIM card when I got my replacement device. However, those problems were all addressed and fixed quite promptly. The only qualm I had was in the beginning, when, for some reason my claim wasn't being approved. But overall really good service from Assurant. I will not be needing to go back to the Apple store again.

The process was quick and not confusing. I still am not pleased that I had to pay for the deductible for a minor flaw in the phone that wasn't even the cause of the malfunction. Your device turned into a useless piece of glass and your store employ was less than forthcoming about the 100.00 that we ended up spending and made us pay a "past due" amount on the account that had already been paid via payment arrangement so we ended up being out 300 dollars. If y'all's service wasn't so inexpensive I'd drop the company altogether. Y'all have messed up our billing multiple times a year for some reason or another since we've been with you guys. That said, I am grateful the issue did not turn into yet another headache. Thanks.

I made a claim on Monday October 7th. I did not receive an email or call for two days. When I called on Wednesday the 9th I was told my phone was on backorder. I received an email on Friday the 10th before 3:00 p.m. but didn't receive the phone (a different one than the phone I made a claim on) until Tuesday, October 15th. I am not very happy with this experience.

I am extremely dissatisfied with the service I received from Assurant. When I first called in the first rep told me I would have to wait 10-14 business days and I even spoke to a supervisor. Yesterday I called and was spoken to very rudely. Was told that I don't understand what she was telling me and made me feel like I was dumb and the tone she took with me was terrible to be working in the customer service industry. I was interrupted and when I asked for a superior I was sent to T-mobile customer service. I asked for corporate's phone number and never received it.

I did make my claim and I did get new phone and return old one fine. The issue is that you charged me 2 times at $175.00 each time overdrawing my account and never returning my calls or e-mails regarding this issue. I had to do all the calling and getting upset. Finally a lady said I should have the $175.00 back soon but will not be getting the $70.00 in overdraft fees. Thanks to your mistake my Geico Company had to do payment by phone.

I have purchased insurance from your company for at least 2 years and this claim experience has been an absolute nightmare. I made a claim on 10-1-19 via the automated system and by accident entered that my phone had been damaged when in actuality I was the victim of a theft on 9-26-19. When I realized my mistake I immediately contacted your customer service dept and reported what had happened. The response I received was that there was nothing that could be done other than send the replacement phone back, which I had received, and start the process all over again. Never mind that the deductible would have been the same for a stolen phone claim as that of a damaged phone.
It is unthinkable that there wasn't a way a override could have been done and notes updated allowing me to keep the phone which had been sent, seeing as though it was a simple mistake. I even offered to fax over a copy of my police report showing that my phone had been stolen. It is 10-16-19 and I still do not have a phone and am told by your robotic customer service agents that it could take an additional 10 days or more. If your company had competition with another insurance provider i would take my business there. But you don't. I believe that you take advantage of your customers because of this fact. I know you asking for my feedback is just protocol and whoever reads this could care less about my experience, but for what it is worth, this experience has been absolutely nightmarish. I'd like to say something else, but I won't. Use your imagination.

I was originally told I didn't qualify for a replacement Device. After a second attempt with the assistance from a Tmobile representative I was approved. I received my Device the next day however it is horrible. I have purchased several new Samsung fast chargers but it still takes at least 3 hours to charge and for some reason I continue to get the water in charger port message. The new device they sent is having the same issues as the replaced phone. I don't understand why this is acceptable.

They sent me a phone that did not even turn on. The phone was obviously refurbished. Dirty and seemed like they just sent me a phone someone else turned in. I am still awaiting another phone. The phone company says that it is the warehouse discretion whether the phone replacement would be with a brand new phone or replacement. This is Unacceptable. If I paid my deductible and insurance it should be a new device. This experience doesn't deserve a star.

Miscommunications between Assurant and TMobile. Horrible experience however representative at Monroeville, PA store was most helpful but unable to resolve to this day! Supervisors at call center provide information that is not accurate to Assurant. Training is very much necessary. Many failed attempts and frustrating visits to store location from call center and corporate misinformation!

Assurant not only did not deliver on its promise, to provide an undamaged device within 1 business day, but gave us the runaround and DESTROYED the memory of my daughter's birthday FOREVER! We've been paying 11.99 for insurance for 3 devices via Tmobile for over 5 years. My daughter's S7 shattered on a Sunday night, a week before she leaves for her first trip to Europe for her birthday. She calls Assurant and this cheery lady tells her that they'll ship her a new device in 1 business day and they're upgrading her to an S9. Seemed like a dream until Tuesday afternoon the S9 arrives with a black blotch on the screen that doesn't light up--internal damage to the screen.
I call up TMobile who tells me the device is broken and transfers me to Assurant, who tells me they'll email us a shipping label right away and we can then send it via USPS back and then once we call them up with a tracking number they will ship her a new phone. We hung up and waited over an hour. The email never came so we called Assurant again. Another person said that the information we were given was wrong and that it will take 24 hours just to email the label to us then we can ship the package via UPS. I was a bit troubled by this because my daughter was set to leave on Friday and it was already Tuesday so I called TMobile and they got Assurant on the phone again, and it got worse.
Not only would it take 24 hrs. just to email us the shipping label but another 24 hrs. for the package to show up in transit then another 24 hrs to send a replacement phone to us. The package would not arrive before my daughter leaves for Europe! I asked if there was anything they could do. They said no. Tmobile couldn't even do anything except sell me a new phone for 700.00.
It got worse, 24 hrs. later we still didn't get a shipping label. Assurant ended up sending the shipping label 30 HOURS later. My daughter had to rush right after work while preparing for her trip to send the package in hopes she may get a working phone. We then waited and called in a solid 35 hours after shipping the package and the package still didn't show up in transit. They said she wouldn't receive a new phone until Tuesday morning. This was Thursday night before her trip!
To recap, Assurant promises a working device in 24 hrs., delivered a broken device and wouldn't give us a replacement until 5 business(7 full days) days later. That's not honoring their promise. However it gets worse. I called TMobile absolutely LIVID asking to cancel the insurance on all our devices after the phone gets shipped to us and the manager told me this wasn't a typical experience with Assurant and that I should call them up and see if they would at least refund our deductible. He said then he can talk to us about possibly selling the phone so that we can recoup the cost of me having to BUY A NEW DEVICE for my daughter's trip.
The next day I call up Assurant to check if they can finally send us our phone (even though my daughter will be in Europe by the time it arrives) and this woman answers and says that FINALLY they will send out a new device. She then downgrades us from the S9 they originally sent us to the S7. I then told her of our horrible experience and that TMobile suggested we ask if they can somehow make it right. I requested a refund. She coldly said that they don't do refunds and that Assurant is honoring their promise. She said she can cancel the order and refund me but I won't get a phone. I asked to speak to a supervisor.
After a long hold this lady comes on the phone, I yet again relay the whole story to her and she apologizes and proceeds to blame TMobile for this issue saying that when the phone arrived damaged it was their responsibility to replace it but since I already started the process with Assurant I had to go through their protocol which meant waiting a full 5 business days for THEIR mistake. I asked if she could at least give us a refund on the 99.00 deductible and she said they cant unless they cancel my order. I asked if she could at least give us an S9 like they originally sent (at this point I was going to have to sell this phone to recoup the cost of buying a new one). She said there was no way they could because they have no way of knowing what phones are going to be sent until the day of. Which is a lie because when my daughter called the first time they agreed to send her an S9 on the phone and did. Only it was broken.
She basically did absolutely nothing for the hassle, stress, and heartache we had to endure. I hung up with her and contacted TMobile, told the manager EVERYTHING and that Assurant was blaming them for the problem. I got 99.00 off my bill and was told that after I get the phone the manager would help me unlock the phone to sell it to recoup the cost(more work on my part). I then hung up and tried to race to a cell phone store to get my daughter a new phone.The only store on the way to the airport was Verizon so I was forced to buy my daughter an entirely new phone line with another cellphone company because of Assurant's mistake!
I was still livid and didn't like the way TMobile handled the situation either. Before I asked to speak to the manager at Tmobile I got snot nosed agents telling me this wasn't their problem to fix and that I was lucky to even get 99.00 off my bill since Tmobile was not responsible. Interesting because Assurant's supervisor said TMobile was the one to blame. I ended up tweeting John Legere or whatever the name of the CEO of TMobile is. They took 45 minutes to get back to me. I told them I already purchased a new device and account with another cell company because of their company's mistake and demanded a credit or some kind of refund. But there's more.
Today, Tuesday, a full week after Assurant sent us our 1st broken device, I get their shipment, it's an S7. With a scratch on the camera lens! I contact Tmobile and suddenly they're willing to send me a replacement device in 24 hrs. They said I would not have to go through Assurant. So suddenly TMobile IS taking responsibility. My only question is why didn't they do this before my daughter left for her 1st trip to Europe. So now I have to arrange for a time to stay home all day to wait for yet another shipment of a 3rd device that may also be damaged. I may end up cancelling it and seeing if I can sell this piece of junk and for how much because I can't afford to take more time off work and doctor's appointments to fix a mistake that TMobile and Assurant could've fixed in a timely manner.
We've paid 11.99 a month for insurance on 3 devices for over 5 years. That's about 2,200.00. Insurance is NOT a good deal and there isn't a price tag on the memory of racing through Los Angeles traffic with my daughter in tears before her first trip to Europe. TMobile and Assurant are absolutely abhorrent companies. Getting any sympathy from them was like pulling teeth. Assurant needs to state in writing that they may send out broken devices and it'll take 5 business days and hassle to replace it if they do! After 11 years of being a customer with 5 lines, I expected way more.

Customer service at times were ignorant and unhelpful. Had to wait 8 days to receive a phone that was different from my original. Overall experience was HORRIBLE! If I could give zero stars I would!!!

Went pretty smooth other than wasn't aware I needed to submit a current phone bill for a day. I didn't receive any notifications that it was needed. Only when I checked the status of claim I realized more info was required.

I filed my claim. They failed to tell me they had no stock. I waited. They gave me a cash out option. I went and bought a watch and submitted paperwork. Weeks later still waiting for reimbursement. I’ve done everything asked of me.

Well service wasn't the best. One you guys turned me down. So I had to reach out to Tmobile to help me and 2. after you guys turned me down, you guys did not give any type of way to respond and ask why or how I can fix my turn down.

Customer representative tell me I was eligible for next day delivery and I was the whole week without phone. I work with my phone. I couldn't work for a whole week and I lose 1,500 of paychecks that I didn't got pay for. All my bill was postpone because of you guys. Thanks but no thanks. And by the way I almost got fired from my job.

I sent you a request to replace a v20 telephone and you sent me a v30. The v30 did not fit in my otter protective cover because the v30 is smaller. I talked to one of your clerks and he basically said that was the way it was. You owe me $65 for a replacement cover.

Type of loss: Physical damage to phone. Agent who assisted w/ my claim was efficient, tactful, patient and very well versed on replacement of damaged equipment. I've been with T-mobile since 2004.

I was walking my son to school and my phone fell out of my pocket and shattered. My entire business is on that phone and I needed a replacement ASAP. Assurant handled my claim and sent me a new one the next day. Very pleased!

Broke my iPhone 8+. I had 360 not basic at the time it broke. I was not given the 99$ option. Was told I had basic and was only covered for a refurbished phone. I went ahead that day and bought a brand new phone. Returned it within my grace period. I took my phone to an outside source and got it repaired.

I started my claim on 9/15/19 for an iPhone X 64 GB. The next day I received an email that my claim was denied because it wasn't covered at the time of loss. I've paid for insurance since I've had the device. I contacted assurant and the customer support rep said that I chose the wrong GB Iphone. I know this isn't true because I received the email with the right GB. The representative then said he/she would get my claim started and that it would take 2-5 days for it to get approved. I asked the rep if he/she could do anything to help speed up the process since this is a mess up on assurant's end. He/she told me there was nothing he/she could do. I then had to wait until the end of September.
It was way past 5 days so I decided to call. I talked to another representative and he said that he would check and he didn't have an answer for why it was taking so long. He told me he would put a rush on the claim since it was taking so long. FINALLY on 10/2 my claim was approved. I would never recommend Assurant and I would not pay for this service again. I will be getting a new insurance company since they can't help a customer when they are in the wrong.

Very satisfied. My phone just stopped working. Couldnt turn it on so I called the insurance number. Gave them the information that was needed and the next day a replacement phone was sent to my home. Arrived the next morning with easy instructions to send my old phone back. Love my new phone and appreciate the great customer service.

First call: started the claim, rep told me they have billing info on file, they end call with "you'll get it in a few days". Second call: it's 17 days (?) Later and I still haven't received my device. Apparently they did to process the payment. So I give them a card number to do it. Ok, should receive device in a few days. Third call: WHERE IS MY DEVICE? Payment didn't go thru, we have to resubmit. AND NO ONE CALLED ME?! They process the payment again. Super lame reps if they can't complete this process in ONE call. For real.

My granddaughter's phone was dropped and shattered. It was replaced in a timely manner after paying the deductible. When we received the new phone you sent a box to mail the damaged phone back. Very clear on what to do.

I do not have an account with Assurant. I keep getting emails addressed to 'Donna'. My name is Jennifer. I called to tell them of the mix up. I keep getting emails. I have Donna's account number, phone number and could have re-routed whatever it was that was going to Donna to another address. I have no idea how they have my email address. If I was Donna, I would be livid.

I'm excited about how the quick turn around was for this replacement and I appreciate all the customer services reps that assisted in this process. The return process was very easy as well. And I was able to get my daughter back on track with her phone and her safety means the world to me.

Metropcs' last insurance company did this too me too. The LG Stylo 4 won't dial bc the screen turns black. They replaced this exact phone 4 times before I finally gave up. You've done the same now. Send me the new LG Q7 RIGHT NOW! NO REFURBISHED: **. And I'm not giving you my CC or calling again. Just send it. The new LG Q7. The Stylos are broke, all of them.

Not very satisfied. The representative filed the claim incorrectly. I had to wait additional time for a replacement and the representatives over the phone were rude and even hung up on me even though they made the mistake! Very unprofessional!

We paid for the replacement phone. Was told 24hrs we will receive it. Today is 10 days and UPS can’t find it. I called Assurant and I was told they have to start an investigation!! Wait 10 to 15 days. In the meantime no phone and out of pocket $150. When I asked for supervisor they told me they can’t do anything!!! Come on I paid for a service. It’s not my fault your courier lost it...
We would be glad to have our escalation team look into this to get it resolved.

Great experience. Steps are simple to file claim, approval response time is quick, and it's in your mailbox within the next day or 2. The replacement phone is like new or new. No issues with it.
