    Made claim, Sunday 3 November 2019, sent what was needed on Monday 4 November, said it would there in 24 hrs, called numerous times over the next three days, same rubbish, once you have a tracking number, you will know. On the Thursday I had enough, after more rubbish from some lady, so asked for the supervisor, who was a real gent, apologised for the delay, saying they had no phone in the warehouse for me, so upgraded me to another phone, which was nice, only for it to turn up with no charger, or cord, seeing this phone has a type C cord and my other just the normal android cord, so I had to go out and purchase one, which I think is a little wrong. So all in all not the best experience, but I'll live and as the subject says, thanks to the supervisor, whose name I have forgot...

    I went thru all this and at the end the issue happen after 2 year the phone crack a little and I paid for full and then with deductible it came up a price for a newer phone and not a refurbished or older phone which cost was “only” 150$. Hope someone agrees with me. I’m not complain about the service, was outstanding but the deal is not so good. I will cancel my insurance anyway. I will pay for the full price if I have too. Thanks.

    I usually don't do feedback surveys but I received an email stating "Thanks for choosing Assurant"... I didn't choose this company, I am a T-mobile and I had no choice, no just that but Assurant gave me 2 options... 1- I take what they where giving me or 2- I just don't do business with them and go through T-Mobile, mind you I pay 24.99 at month to this company just to be treated they where doing me a favor.     I've had to call several times about the same issue. A couple of times the representative was rude. Another time, the representative didn't have a clue on how to do their job, I had to be the one to walk them through. And the refund process is horrible as well! I've called three times about it. And the last representative was the only one that said it would be a check. This company is sorry and needs to electronically refund people's money! I am very disappointed with this company! I pray I never have to call again.

    I have been paying my insurance for 2 yrs and when I finally need a new phone they gave not 1 but twice a salvaged phone. In my point of view the insurance is just should only provide with new things because we still pay for insurance and over time I am pretty sure it could accumulate to pretty good money for them to give us a new phone. I am not satisfied with what I got and I will be letting T-mobile know to maybe in the future get a better insurance than this one. And for the stars I cannot give this insurance any stars but I am going to give them 1. Hopefully things change.

    They randomly marked my claim for further inspection, would not tell me any reason why, called back multiple times to try to figure things and always had to go through putting info in through the automated system only to be asked all the same info again only to be told half answers. Then when they finally approved the claim nobody called or emailed me to say it was ready. Went back to the store on the 8th day from my claim and had to call and go through the automated system and the staff to finish everything. The staff at the Metro store were all confused as to why I was having so much trouble to take care of a simple overnight claim. They kept asking me questions which neither of us could explain. Nor could Assurant staff and management. I am highly pissed off and will never use their fraudulent service again. Amanda

    Ok I have been without a phone for over a week. Between T-Mobile and ASSURANT. Spent 2hrs and 32 minutes and 10 different people last Friday evening. Took them that long to decide that the phone was under warranty and not an insurance problem. On Tuesday I went to the T-Mobile store to pick up my phone. Well between Friday night and Tuesday- the screen cracked. so, the T-Mobile store would not give me the phone because it was now an insurance claim with ASSurant. Ok- they were to send me a phone overnight... they didn't- it came ground. OK so now I have another phone send to me from the insurance company- I go to the T-Mobile store Friday morning to get some help in completing moving everything over. Well guess what. The phone they just send me is broken!!!! God bless the guy Kendan who was helping me- he really was doing his best trying to help.

    So, this new phone should be under warranty, right? NO- it takes 24-48 hr. to transfer all the information into T-Mobile, so it goes back to being an insurance claim... Ok- so they tell me they will send me a postage paid envelope to send this phone back- ok- wait for it....they will NOT send me another replacement phone until they receive this one. ARE YOU ** KIDDING ME?! 3 supervisors later with ASSurant and the best they can do is send another phone that will not get here till Monday or maybe Tuesday- because they have way of overnighting me a phone, because their contact with FEDEX and UPS will not allow them to send a phone out the same day they receive the request!!!! OH Ya- almost forgot it cost me $99 as a deductible.

    Please repost this as much as possible so everyone knows that the insurance company Assurant- tells you what kind of a company they are right in their name **.

    At 65 living alone and not great health-how do you expect someone to be without a phone???? You are NOT a customer service organization. You DO NOT know the first thing about customer service.

    Had the order stolen off my porch while I was at I called on 11/5 and told I had to wait 10 to 14 business days while UPS does investigation which I don't get. I'm now going close to 3 weeks with no phone since I had to wait till my VA disability pay to process my claim and now not sure what is going on. Last agent said that it depends on what UPS says which makes it seems like because the phone was stolen off my porch since y'all did not require signature I'm now with no phone after paying for it and insurance.     Very frustrating. I filed a claim on Oct 31st and went back and forth for 2 WEEKS!!!! I am going to change my cell phone carrier just so I NEVER have to deal with Assurant again. I filed a claim and tried to cancel the claim that I filed no more than 2-3 hours later and it just couldn't be done. Assurant claimed the phone had been shipped and told me to contact UPS. However, when I contacted UPS they had no record of the phone being shipped. All Assurant needed to do was call UPS and have them redirect the shipment if it in fact did ship like they claimed. After going through countless of phones calls to Assurant I call one last time to ensure they received the phone they shipped to me and the customer service rep tells me they have no record of me even filing a CLAIM!!! Are you serious??? Anytime I needed something done I had to speak to a supervisor. Terrible experience and I hope to GOD I NEVER need to go through them EVER!

    When I spoke with the Assurant agent, I told her that my phone had been checked out by multiple T-Mobile specialists. I told her that it was no longer charging. Without seeing the device or listening to my situation, she immediately decided that I had somehow damaged the charger port. The four T-Mobile specialists who had checked the phone out before I returned it said that they saw no damages caused by my actions, including no water or port damage. Just prior to sending the phone back to you, I went to the Apple Store at the Maine Mall. They agreed with that assessment and found the phone not only not taking a charge but unable to be turned on.     The overall experience of my claim wasn't that good. I never spoke to a single person the entire time. I heard nothing from them till they emailed me telling me I needed to pay my deductible, and the way they worded it was if they sent me a bill and never paid. It took 6 days to accept my claim, and they told me the phone would be delivered overnight. Well I got the phone 4 days later being it was a weekend. And the paperwork told me I had 10 days to return it but the days were shortened by 3 since it didn't arrive like it should have. I still haven't heard a thing from them so I have no idea if they even received my old phone. And I received a "refurbished" phone. Which to me is crap.     Hi, I submitted a claim over a lost iPhone 5. The claim was approved and I was requested to pay $99. To my surprise, I received another iPhone5! This is a discontinued model to start with and it is not worth a penny. If you are going to send a discontinued device, you might as well do it for free. The right way to do it was to send an iPhone 6 at least. I feel that we paid at least 24 months of insurance at $12 per month for nothing. That is $288 that we sent to the trash, on top of the phone value. Again, if you are going to send such an old device as a replacement, then don't charge for it. I wish there was a way to get our money back.

    On October 16th, I went into an Apple Store to fix my broken screen using Apple Care. Apple ended up replacing the entire device, which gave me a new phone with a new IMEI. T-Mobile immediately updated the IMEI associated with my phone line on their end. Then, on October 19th, my (new) phone was stolen. I filed a claim online with Assurant on the same day, stating that my phone was stolen. On the online application form, the page that asked "which device are you contacting us about?" had only one device, which was ostensibly my new phone. I selected that and continued with the claim.

    On October 21st, I received an email from Assurant saying my claim was not approved, the reason being "The material facts pertaining to the claim were misrepresented." I called into Assurant, and the representative was able to see the details of my claim. They told me that I had submitted a "broken phone replacement" claim AND a "stolen phone replacement" claim on the same phone on the same date (October 19th). I said that was false, but they insisted that it was on the exact same IMEI on Assurant's end, which is unequivocally false. The agent told me to contact Apple and T-Mobile who would then be able to fix the issue.

    On October 22nd, after a day of calling and *physically walking between T-Mobile and Apple stores*, I finally had a T-Mobile rep (in person) get on the phone with an Assurant agent to explain the situation: Assurant had not updated the IMEI associated with my line, despite T-Mobile having done so immediately after I had it replaced on Oct 19. Therefore, to Assurant, it looked like I had made two claims on the same device. The Assurant agent assured us that the IMEI on the original claim was updated and that the claim would be reviewed again and I would receive my device within 3 days.

    On October 24th, I still had not received any notification from Assurant so I called in. The Assurant rep said that my claim was denied and that they couldn't see any information, and that I should send a PHYSICAL LETTER to the headquarters explaining my situation. They would not offer me anything in the way of advice on what I should include in the letter, nor would they give me a rough timeline of when I would receive a response.

    By this time, I was almost one week without my phone, and was leaving the country for a month the following week so I needed my phone like yesterday. I had the Assurant rep escalate to a floor manager (or so they said) who basically told me the same thing: that they couldn't see *any* details of my claim, that once submitted a claim could not be updated, and to send snail mail to the headquarters. This was completely opposite what the Assurant agents told me on Oct 21 and Oct 22. So I went back to the T-Mobile store I had visited previously on Oct 22, found the same T-Mobile agent I had worked with and who had helped make the phone call to Assurant with, during which we were both told the claim would be updated and approved given the clarification T-Mobile provided.

    After an hour on the phone again with T-Mobile (in person) and Assurant (phone), the Assurant agent was finally able to update the IMEI associated with the claim on their end and got my application APPROVED on the spot over the phone. I finally received my replacement device on Oct 27, one day before I left the country.

    So basically what I understood from this exchange is that 1) Assurant doesn't update their system with T-Mobile does, 2) Assurant either doesn't train their phone reps how to do their job, or trains them to lie and say they can't see any details or can't update claims once their reviewed in order to ** over their customers, and 3) "mail a letter to the headquarters" is essentially a "** you. We're keeping your money and there's nothing you can do about it".

    Both Apple *and* T-Mobile encouraged me to protect my phone directly with Apple Care after this incident due to Assurant's complete and utter incompetence and unwillingness to help. The T-Mobile rep I worked with was an ANGEL and found the entire situation grossly unprofessional and unjustifiable on Assurant's end.

    Had the worst experience and got played so many times. My claim was thrown here and there without any resolution. Nobody knows what they are talking about and keep repeating the same notes the previous rep left. They have no idea what device it’s supposed to be even though the IMEI number was given and still got sent a wrong device twice and kept wasting time. Total unprofessional and still haven’t received my actual device since they have no idea what the device is. Total waste of time. If given choice please go to someone else!!!

    I would never recommend their insurance. First off she had me delete my phone from find my iPhone. She did it incorrectly, ended up deleting everything off of my phone. Then they sent me the wrong replacement phone. Then they said send that one back before they would send another one. They said as soon as this one was sent out and they had a tracking number they would send the correct device. I did this then I called back to get the correct phone. Now they’re telling me I have to wait 48 hours for the claim to be approved again. Took over a week to get a phone and everyone you speak to gives you a different story. The only thing they did correctly was take my deductible. They sure were good at that.

    When my wife lost the phone, I tried to report it online but I couldn't do it right so it is not easy since it wouldn't let me to choose the right phone number.     Assurant's opaque business practices benefit the company through unfair enrichment. They will keep your returned device and still charge you hundreds of dollars for it.     I encountered agents that lied and stole my money. T-Mobile and Assurant had different information. Agents hung-up on me daily. Agents were rude and argumentative. Everyone passed the buck. I proved my deductible was $50, but charged $150. Assurant supervisor found that I was correct. I was told that I was getting a full refund and my deductible would be waived. Has not happened yet. I will probably go to arbitration before I get satisfaction.
